Matthew 15:1-9 - When Tradition Replaces Truth
In Matthew 15:1–9, Jesus confronts the scribes and Pharisees for elevating human traditions above the clear commands of God. Their religious practices looked spiritual on the outside, but their hearts were far from Him.
In this L.O.A.D. Bible Study, we examine the danger of honoring God with our words while resisting Him with our lives. Tradition can be valuable, but when it contradicts, weakens, or replaces Scripture, it becomes an obstacle to genuine obedience and worship.
The question is not merely, “What have we always done?” The question is, “What has God actually said?”
