0:03
We're setting new records in the gold sector.
0:06
Silver won't be far behind. You'll be shocked at what you
0:10
learned today, what's going on in the world because a lot is
0:14
changing that silver and gold investors need to be on top of.
0:20
Today we're joined by our special guest, a fan favorite,
0:24
Mr., Pat Holland from the Missouri Freedom Initiative.
0:28
We're going to talk about gold. We're going to talk about
0:30
silver. We're going to talk about
0:31
fascinating things going on in that area, especially in China.
0:36
But then we're going to bring it all back home and talk about
0:40
what's going on for you in the United States, legal tender
0:45
legislation and a call to action.
0:48
Pat Holland, welcome back to Ron's basement.
0:51
Hey, thank you, Ron. It's great to be here.
0:53
Hey, we're live for the first time.
0:54
This is awesome. Yeah, we're on a live.
0:57
Go ahead. We're on a live stream and we're
1:00
we're working our way through this together.
1:02
So thank you to you for being here and our viewers.
1:06
Yeah, and and this is the perfect opportunity for them to
1:08
ask questions in real time and all that fun stuff.
1:10
But I noticed you got Smitty front and center there.
1:13
You know, Smitty had a Chinese name.
1:16
It would be I Bring Doe. Well, we're going to, we're
1:22
going to talk about what's going on in China because it's
1:25
fascinating and and like I said then we're going to, we're going
1:28
to hone in on what our viewers are really concerned about and
1:31
that is the United States gold and silver legal tender
1:35
legislation. But gold is bumping up against
1:38
all time highs. It's really crazy what's going
1:42
on out there. Do you do you feel like we've
1:44
turned the corner with gold? And any thoughts on what that
1:47
might mean for silver? I don't know yet.
1:51
You know there's a cup and handle for silver.
1:53
You've talked about it before and this has been well known for
1:56
quite some time and silver is kind of a there's a a cup and
2:00
handle I think for gold as well. But at the same time, I have not
2:05
kept track of those charts recently.
2:08
As you know my interest in gold and silver is on the on the
2:11
legal tender side. Of course if it goes up in
2:13
value, I wouldn't mind but that that's not the thrust of what we
2:17
do with the silver and gold legislation for instance in
2:20
Missouri. But I want to remind you of
2:22
something before we start talking about China, cause
2:24
China's a big player in this, you know, once again we've
2:27
talked about the bricks possibly ad nauseam.
2:29
We might be boring people and if we are then I apologize.
2:33
But I do want to let folks know that there is an ancient Chinese
2:38
curse and it goes like this. May you live in interesting
2:42
times and we are definitely living in interesting times.
2:48
We we sure are. I'm going to pull up a picture,
2:50
Pat. Recently there were Chinese
2:54
reports that over 800,000 Chinese people showed up at a
3:00
shopping mall. That's a picture on a on the day
3:04
after the lunar holiday at a shopping mall, 800,000 people at
3:08
one mall to buy gold. I mean they the Chinese appear
3:12
to be going absolutely crazy over gold.
3:17
And it's it's really interesting when you when you when you think
3:20
about what we're doing here in the United States and the
3:24
reasons why not just the Chinese government, not just the Chinese
3:28
central bank, but the Chinese people are going crazy over
3:30
gold. When you listen, they're saying
3:32
the Chinese people are afraid to put their money in the stock
3:34
market, they're afraid to put their money in the real estate
3:39
market, they're afraid to put their money in the bank.
3:42
So what are they doing? They're running to gold and
3:44
silver, which when I when I hear those reasons, that list of
3:48
reasons, I'm like, you know, that doesn't seem too far
3:51
fetched in in terms of what we could experience here in the
3:55
United States. I think you're right.
3:59
I think people will be running to gold and silver, and this is
4:02
historic fact, by the way, what you brought up.
4:05
It's not about bonds anymore, gang.
4:07
You know, basically bonds are losing to inflation, silver and
4:11
gold or not. So it's actually pretty easy
4:14
math. I talked about this recently
4:16
with someone up in Jefferson City that the bonds that they
4:20
have in Jefferson City, or more specifically in Missouri and the
4:23
Treasury are paying 2.4%. Everyone knows inflation is well
4:28
beyond that. I don't care what Biden says
4:30
about inflation, Amanda, I I just don't care.
4:33
The fact is you can actually go to John Williams shadowstats.com
4:38
and actually get the inflation statistics based on the 1980 or
4:42
1990 standards. The difference today is they've
4:45
removed a lot of stuff from the actual CPI adjusted numbers.
4:50
For instance, gasoline is not in it, food is not in it, but
4:54
you'll find it in the 1980 version.
4:57
So the what they do to manipulate inflation numbers and
5:01
we'll get back to gold and silver in a second here, but
5:03
this is relevant is they just extract huge parts of industry
5:09
over that. I mean just huge aspects of
5:11
industry. So one thing that they they put
5:15
in is electronics because electronics made in China, you
5:19
know basically haven't inflated as fast as anything that's
5:21
produced in the United States or in the Western world.
5:24
So this is a a game of trickery gang.
5:28
When it comes to CPI, the government lies by a factor of
5:32
five, at least. In some cases it's as low as 3
5:35
that they lie by a factor of 3, but usually it's around 5:00.
5:39
So we had, you know, in the truth, money and freedom.
5:41
We had a saying the government lies by a factor of five.
5:44
It was a rhyme that we told and that was based on everything
5:47
from, you know, CPI adjusted numbers to unemployment.
5:52
They lie about that as well. I meant that's a huge lie.
5:55
Everyone, I think, knows that. But at any rate, I digress.
5:59
The Chinese know what's going on.
6:02
They are not stupid. They're going for gold.
6:05
So I'm gonna, I wanna ask you a question, Pat, and I'm sure our
6:09
viewers are wondering this as well.
6:11
If we work off this premise that inflation is like a hidden tax,
6:16
our government, our United States government, our our, our
6:19
trusted leaders in Washington, they have this habit of spending
6:24
more money every year than they bring in.
6:27
So at that point, they're faced with a challenge.
6:30
They could either spend less money and actually balance the
6:33
budget. They could raise taxes.
6:37
You know, on the wealthy, we know that's not going to happen.
6:40
Or they could borrow and borrow with printed money, essentially,
6:45
which leads to dilution of the currency, which leads to
6:50
inflation. And when you have inflation in
6:54
areas like the stock market, they call it a bull market.
6:58
It's great for the wealthy, right?
6:59
We've had that over the last number of years.
7:01
When you have inflation in real estate and you're a wealthy guy
7:06
who owns a an apartment complex with 1000 units, well that's OK,
7:10
That's a bull market in real estate.
7:12
But when you have inflation for everyday average Americans, it's
7:16
called pain, right? It's called not being able to go
7:21
on a vacation or it's or not being able in some cases to put
7:25
food on your table or provide some basic necessities that you
7:28
need for a family. Is that is that kind of the
7:31
predicament that we find ourselves in now here in the.
7:34
United States, I think so. It's stagflation is what the
7:38
British called it for years and years when they were going
7:40
through it. Some people are calling that
7:42
here in the United States. I think it's more of just a
7:46
standard high inflation now a groceries continue to go up.
7:51
That is a huge problem in America, but I think in the West
7:54
in general. But at the same time, I don't
7:57
want to, I don't want to bring up conspiracy theories or
7:59
anything, but gosh darn it, with all those food facilities that
8:04
have been blowing up and burning down around the world, how in
8:07
Europe they're trying, they've actually raised the diesel tax
8:10
to the point where farmers really can't make a profit
8:13
anymore, you know, growing food because they're regulated by the
8:16
EU. So they can, you know, the the
8:19
prices are regulated there. So what the government did is
8:22
just raise the prices of diesel fuel on farmers.
8:25
And the protests are incredible out in Europe right now.
8:29
You won't see it in the mainstream media here, but if
8:31
you go to any alternative media site, you can see these huge
8:34
farming protests that are massive, that are widespread
8:38
across Europe. It's not just in one country,
8:42
it's in multiple countries. And this is a serious problem
8:47
for the food supply that we are looking.
8:49
Unfortunately, we're looking at a very, very grotesque situation
8:54
where there just isn't going to be enough food.
8:56
That's what we call artificial inflation.
8:59
They actually reduce the supply of food and then the prices go
9:04
higher. But remember, now we're supposed
9:06
to own nothing and be happy. Right, right.
9:08
Well, Pat, I need to interject something because we are seeing
9:11
here in the United States the beginning of major, major
9:16
protest against what's going on. I want to share something with
9:19
you here. Bear with me one second, and
9:25
this was sent to us from our good friend Coin Shop.
9:28
Chris, it's gotten so bad in the United States.
9:32
Who's that guy, Huh? Yeah, that's, gosh, the Cookie
9:36
Monster. That's who it is.
9:38
Cookie Monster and From CBS News, the Cookie Monster decries
9:43
shrink flation in the White House response, so you know, the
9:46
farmers can take to the streets. But here in the United States,
9:50
we have Cookie Monster who's apparently fighting for us.
9:54
Let me read just a couple lines of this real quick.
9:57
The nation's snack producers aren't getting anything past the
10:00
Cookie Monster. The insatiable Muppet and
10:02
beloved resident of Sesame Street is getting a high level
10:05
response. After he took the social media
10:08
to complain that his favorite treat is shrinking, he went on X
10:13
and said me hate shrink flation. Me cookies are getting smaller,
10:18
the googly eyed, furry blue Muppet declared on X Monday,
10:22
tapping into an economic trend of the day.
10:25
And then he said, I guess me going to have to eat double the
10:28
cookies and we got a response, we think from Joe Biden in the
10:33
White House. He said, quote C is for
10:38
consumers getting ripped off. President Biden is calling on
10:41
companies to stop shrink flation.
10:46
OK, well, I'm at. First of all, you know, you
10:50
gotta be happy that the cookie monster's on our side.
10:52
In the steel, you gotta be happy.
10:55
So I meant, could we even fight this battle without, you know,
10:58
the Cookie Monster chiming in? The fact of the matter is, the
11:02
Cookie Monster is absolutely right now, like I said, in
11:05
Britain, it's commonly referred to as shrink flation.
11:09
Here we just call it inflation. The guys shrink flation was
11:13
brought up. That was coined because in
11:16
Europe, I think it was during World War 2 in Britain, they
11:21
were reducing the size of food packaging, but, you know,
11:24
charging the same amount of money.
11:26
So I think that's where the term shrinkflation actually came
11:29
from. And of course, you know, they
11:31
were having monetary problems out in England and in Europe
11:34
during World War 2. But the fact of the matter is
11:37
this is absolutely true. Biden literally is blaming
11:41
corporations. He is not blaming the extra $7
11:45
trillion that was thrown into the monetary supply here in the
11:49
last four years. Apparently that's totally off of
11:51
Bidens radar. But at the same time, I
11:53
seriously doubt Bidens releasing anything.
11:57
I don't know that Biden even knows what's really going on in
11:59
the country right now. He's just being told what to do.
12:02
And he's, you know, signing papers.
12:04
But it's his advisors, the unelected bureaucrats that are
12:08
actually making policy in DC And that policy extends, you know,
12:12
further than the monetary policy that goes into foreign policy,
12:17
that goes into energy policy. And so we we are in trouble.
12:22
But at the same time, can they continue to keep gold and silver
12:26
down during a shrink flation period in the United States?
12:30
And if you're looking at the charts recently, the answer is
12:32
apparently not. Now silver will always be
12:36
manipulated more than gold gang every single time.
12:40
How do we know this? Because of the Comex, the
12:42
commodity index of the, the leveraging on on paper futures
12:47
contracts versus the physical holdings of the Comex is
12:51
something that is literally 5 to 10 times worse than we saw with
12:55
the housing market in 2008 with derivative contracts based on
12:59
mortgage-backed securities, the original product.
13:03
So the silver futures contract is nothing more than a
13:05
derivative. That's it.
13:07
I mean, there's just nothing behind it.
13:09
And so, but that's how they tamp down silver and that's how they
13:13
tamp down gold. And they're very, very good at
13:15
doing this, very, very good. They're very practiced.
13:18
But gold, they tend not to tamp down anywhere near as hard as
13:22
silver. And I think the reason being is
13:24
because there's a lot of wealthy folks that hold gold and those
13:28
wealthy folks are donors to, you know, politicians and campaigns.
13:33
Yeah. And and you know what we're
13:34
really talking about my, my friend Ted likes to talk about
13:38
this. Ted from Ted speaks is a battle
13:40
between Keynesian economics, right, debt based money
13:45
printing, synthetic economics and Austrian economics, real
13:50
money, right, based on silver and gold.
13:52
And when we and then and then what we're really talking about
13:55
also I think is that we're talking about real money gold
13:59
and silver versus you know what you can get with that paper
14:04
money. And whether the the price
14:06
measured in Fiat paper money goes up or the amount that you
14:12
get goes down via shrink inflation.
14:14
What we're seeing is, is that is an erosion in the value of the
14:19
paper money because it's been diluted.
14:21
Like you said, it's been printed and there doesn't seem to be any
14:27
end insight, right. We can look at the US debt clock
14:30
and see, you know, all of us have done that and watch the 34
14:33
trillion turn into 35 trillion. We we can, we can everywhere we
14:39
look, we can go to the grocery store and realize, right, hey,
14:42
not only did the price of Chips Ahoy cookies go up in paper, you
14:48
know, used to be $2.00 for a for a container at Chips Ahoy.
14:51
Now it's $4 and I'm only getting like they're they're only
14:55
getting half as much. Everybody's getting hit on both
14:58
sides of the equation. Yeah.
15:01
And you know what, let's talk about that for a second because
15:03
this, this may lead to a very interesting situation called
15:08
deflation. We may have a deflationary
15:11
period here in the United States of America.
15:13
And if we have one, trust me, it won't last long.
15:16
And I'll tell you why. Banks and governments don't do
15:19
well in deflationary times. They don't do well.
15:23
They the Federal Reserve will turn on the printing presses if
15:26
it happens, guaranteed, because deflation will actually reduce
15:30
the amount of taxation, you know, collection of taxes.
15:35
It will reduce bank fees. So they're not going to get left
15:40
out in the cold. They are so much more important
15:44
than the whole of the American citizenry apparently because if
15:49
we go into deflation and they are really going to hurt us with
15:53
printing of of currency and and that's another thing too, right
15:57
now it'd be it, We'll get back to gold and silver in a second
16:00
here. We're going to talk a little bit
16:01
about interest rates. The interest rates right now
16:05
technically should be going down and I'll tell you why.
16:09
This is a very interesting catch 22 situation. the United States
16:12
government or more specifically the treasury is in right now.
16:16
They their bonds roll about every every two to four years.
16:20
We have a giant amount of debt that has to be literally re
16:24
rolled and it looks like if they're not lowering interest
16:28
rates in 2024, you're gonna see the debt clock go freaking crazy
16:34
because they are paying higher interest rates on rolling over
16:37
debt but they're afraid of inflation if they bring down the
16:41
interest rates. So at any rate that that's the
16:45
catch 22 right now. If you remember about two months
16:49
ago they said they were going to and maybe it was a little more
16:52
than two months ago they were going to reduce interest rates
16:56
in 2024. Now they're saying they're not
16:58
going to. I don't know if you guys caught
17:00
on to this and we're talking about Federal Reserve stuff
17:03
here. So the the problem is right now
17:07
the US government is going to have to borrow money to pay
17:10
interest on its debt. And so and we, the taxpayers of
17:14
course will be the ones that pay the penalty for that.
17:16
We'll have to pay for it. The government doesn't produce,
17:19
we have to give it money. So I, I I don't have a very good
17:25
feeling about the future here. If they don't lower interest
17:28
rates, that debt clock is probably going to go up
17:31
something really crazy this year, like probably something
17:35
like $3 trillion of debt, maybe four in 2024.
17:40
Literally, guys that is above and beyond what they take in on
17:44
that debt clock. So keep in mind when you're
17:45
watching that number, this isn't the whole of what the United
17:48
States government takes in. This is what they're spending
17:51
above what they're taking in on that debt clock.
17:54
And it's, it's getting pretty interesting.
17:56
And by the way, if I were a foreign country, I'd be dumping
17:59
American bonds well. That's what I let me That's why
18:02
I want to interject. When you were talking about
18:03
interest rates, think about if you're China, Russia, any
18:07
foreign country, right? The the they're gonna have a
18:11
hard time lowering rates cause nobody's gonna wanna buy the
18:14
bonds unless the rate of they're not gonna take the risk unless
18:18
the rate is higher. I mean they really are in a
18:20
catch 22, so then they have to keep the rates high and then
18:25
that creates even more of a deficit which adds even more to
18:29
the debt pile which means the rates are gonna have to be
18:32
higher. I don't wanna be doom and gloom
18:34
here, Pat, but it's not looking real optimistic.
18:38
It is not. And from a guy who's looked at
18:40
and studied bonds for a decade, more than a decade actually I I
18:46
I think we might be hitting some some rough patches here in 2024
18:50
because this debt is rolling over whether the interest rates
18:53
are the are high or low and they right now are saying they're not
18:57
going to lower them because inflation is pretty bad right
19:00
now. It truly is.
19:02
And they of course, they lie about it.
19:04
Of course, you guys, one more thing here.
19:06
I mean, I'd like to point out when the government lies, I I
19:09
really do like to point that out.
19:11
They're saying inflation is so low right now, it's back down to
19:13
normal. So whether they're saying it's
19:14
like 2.8% I believe is the last time they decried a percentage,
19:19
you know, of what inflation is, guys, it's actually much, much,
19:24
much closer to 10% right now. Remember I said the government
19:27
lies by a factor of 5. So if you go to the grocery
19:31
store or if you buy any goods or services, if you're looking for
19:34
a home, if you're buying a car, everybody knows the government
19:37
lies by a factor of five and they're going to have to roll
19:42
that debt over this year. I don't have dates, but I
19:45
suspect it's end of quarter kind of stuff when they have to roll
19:49
this debt. Yeah, I've heard.
19:51
I believe the the most recent statistic I read is that it's
19:55
gonna be like 8.9 trillion in debt that needs to be rolled
20:00
over this year plus another like 1.61 point 4 trillion that of
20:07
new debt because of the current deficit that we have.
20:09
That's gonna be 10-10 trillion dollars.
20:11
And what's interesting is. We've got this reverse repo
20:16
program that the Fed put together after the C19 crisis, a
20:21
place for the banks to park. And at one point it was almost
20:25
$3 trillion. That's been drained, right?
20:28
All that cash has been slowly fed.
20:31
It's almost it's it really is like stealth QE has been fed
20:34
back in and a lot of that money was used to buy bonds and it's
20:37
almost gone. I think I read it's below 500
20:40
billion at this point. So everybody's like, well, who's
20:43
going to buy the bonds and if, oh, they're going to lower rates
20:46
on the bonds? No, nobody's going to.
20:48
I mean I I'll tell you who's going to wind up buying the
20:50
bonds is our old friend Jerome Powell with the Federal Reserve,
20:55
which will just perpetuate the dilution of the currency, the
20:59
dollar. I mean, you know, and I think
21:01
gold and silver are sniffing that out right now, right.
21:04
They're the oldest, smartest, wisest markets in the world, and
21:09
I think they're sniffing it out right now.
21:11
So this whole idea that, oh, interest rates have to go down
21:15
for gold and silver to do, well, yeah, absolutely.
21:18
If they cut rates, but you know it.
21:19
But in the long run, what's really going to help?
21:22
Silver and gold are the basic laws of mathematics.
21:26
That's correct. Supply and demand.
21:28
And when you're talking about China, you know, basically
21:31
hungrily, you know, devouring as much gold as the citizenry can
21:35
get their hands on, that affects supply.
21:38
Now it's it's, you know, it's not like the, the Shanghai Gold
21:41
exchange is is sharing gold, you know, with the world.
21:44
They're not. They do with their partners
21:46
only. And you know, actually there's a
21:49
trade program with Russia for gold and oil.
21:53
So that's something I think that a lot of people should
21:55
understand that is a big deal. And also I've heard Saudi Arabia
22:01
has actually taken gold also from, well, it was from China,
22:06
but it was actually from Russia. And so you guys think about this
22:12
for a second. Remember now our deal with Saudi
22:14
Arabia and and we're going back to the 1970s here, Henry
22:18
Kissinger set this up. It's called OPEC, right?
22:22
And yes, the United States set up OPEC.
22:24
That is a fact. There's no getting around that.
22:26
We set it up, but we set it up for them to trade oil on the
22:29
dollar only. And since Saudi Arabia had the
22:32
most oil at the time, I do believe they still have a lot of
22:35
oil. They were allowed to lead OPEC
22:38
because they had the most oil resources out of any country
22:42
that was applying to be an OPEC. The deal with Saudi Arabia was
22:46
you have to trade oil on the dollar, only the US dollar, and
22:51
in return we will actually provide defense for your nation.
22:55
We will actually use our military to defend you if anyone
22:58
attacks you or if you're being threatened.
23:01
And that was the deal. But guess what?
23:03
Saudi Arabia reneged on this. This is a this is over.
23:07
The dollar being used by OPEC is over.
23:10
Most OPEC nations have joined the BRICS, by the way.
23:14
And the sole purpose of the BRIC nations is to get off the
23:17
dollar, the weaponized dollar. And and that's exactly what
23:22
they're doing right now. And China is a very big player
23:26
in BRICS and they want off the dollar.
23:30
And look at what their citizens are doing now.
23:32
They're Are they going out to hoard dollars?
23:36
Nope. We have an all time high in gold
23:40
right now, gang. And one thing, we ought to be
23:43
looking at it from a different perspective.
23:45
Actually, an all time high in U.S. dollars means an all time
23:48
low of the US dollar against gold.
23:52
That's what that actually means. Go ahead.
23:54
I want to, I want to add a a little visual to your to your
23:57
statement you just made. OK guys, those 800,000 see Pat
24:02
and I over to the left we're in that crowd, right.
24:06
Those are our Chinese friends, 800,000 of them at one mall to
24:10
buy gold. Those 800,000 people were not in
24:14
line at an ATM to get paper U.S. dollars.
24:18
They were in line to get gold. Holy mackerel, I think I see
24:23
Smitty in there. What is Smitty doing Buying gold
24:25
in China? Yeah, Smitty, Smitty, the Silver
24:28
Berry's cheating on the silver community.
24:32
The other thing I want to add to what you said, Pat, about this
24:35
shift away from the dollar, Mike Mahari and I had a great
24:39
conversation thanks to you yesterday.
24:41
Mike Mahari is with the 10th Amendment Center, a great guy,
24:44
super smart guy. I've got an interview with him
24:47
coming out in a few days, but we were talking about the same
24:49
thing that you were just mentioning.
24:50
The world is moving D dollarization.
24:53
And think about this we we we hear, Oh yeah, de dollarization
24:57
is going on, but it's going on at the exact same time, at the
25:03
exact same time that the US needs people to buy their
25:09
treasuries with U.S. dollars. It's like a AA double whammy.
25:12
Does that make sense? Like like the US is like we we
25:15
we have more debt than ever. We need to borrow more than ever
25:19
and the world is basically saying and we are less
25:23
interested than ever in buying U.S. dollars.
25:26
I mean, it's happening slowly, but it's actually, you know,
25:28
it's happening in both directions, which I think is is
25:32
is a is an interesting scenario. Historically, Ron, when a
25:36
country loses world reserve currency, it takes years, many
25:39
years, in some cases decades for the world reserve currency to
25:44
shift from 1 country to another, from 1:00 government to another,
25:49
whatever what have you. And in fact, we have apparently
25:53
outstayed our welcome with the dollar for two reasons.
25:56
We're printing too many of them and other nations around the
26:00
world are sick and tired of America and it's weaponized
26:03
dollar and the way we go around and force our will on other
26:06
nations. And this isn't meant to be a
26:08
political statement. I'm telling you, this is exactly
26:11
what the bricks are saying. That's exactly what they say.
26:14
They are tired of it. And you know what really spurred
26:17
the BRIC nations? It's all the sanctions against
26:20
Russia. And I saw a news story literally
26:23
just two days ago that no nations, no nations are no
26:27
longer or I'm sorry, no nations are participating in sanctions
26:32
against Russia anymore. This is serious, gang.
26:36
This is, you know, you want to talk about a nail in the coffin
26:39
of the dollar. If our military in our country
26:43
is not even feared by the rest of the world anymore and Russian
26:46
sanctions are no longer working, then it's something I think we
26:50
all have to pay attention to for, you know, basically the,
26:54
let's just say the effectiveness of the dollar in the world right
26:58
now, it's going downhill very rapidly.
27:01
Yeah, Because what wouldn't you say, Pat, that the two big tools
27:06
we've used over the last 50 years to become the world's
27:10
superpower that I guess we can say we still are our our money
27:15
and our military and and and look, hey, you and I are
27:19
patriotic Americans. We love our country, right?
27:22
We were both born right around the same time.
27:24
I remember the bicentennial. I love this country.
27:27
But I can see why what's going on over the last 50 years, why
27:33
some people in the world may not, may be a little tired of
27:36
the financial games and and maybe some of the actions that
27:42
we've taken throughout the world as well.
27:46
You know, it's somewhat understandable that that now we
27:50
have this bricks and bricks plus right we have 5 new countries
27:53
that join this year in 30 more countries that are that are
27:57
begging to join as well. Yeah, and it's going to
28:01
continue. It's going to continue.
28:02
And here's something too. I can't really speak to this,
28:06
but I just thought I'd throw this out here, someone I know
28:10
that is tied into information, let's just say it that way and
28:17
has told me that there's an interesting date coming up April
28:19
19th. Didn't say why though.
28:22
I hate to leave you guys hanging like that, but but he is heavily
28:26
tied into the banking industry, the Bank of International
28:31
Settlements and the International Monetary Fund.
28:35
And that's where I think he's getting this information from, I
28:38
think. But I I lack the time to have a
28:43
discussion with him about that date.
28:46
So at any rate, I think it's financial now.
28:49
This isn't, you know, everyone in the sky is falling kind of
28:52
stuff. I suspected something that's
28:54
very technical that will happen on the 19th that will lead to
28:59
further action in the months after it.
29:02
I think that's probably what he's saying, but I don't know
29:04
yet. I really, truly don't know.
29:06
So we don't, we don't really know what this is, but at
29:08
minimum, it's an interesting date.
29:10
We know March 11th, which is what, 5 days from today, the
29:13
bank term funding program goes away, right?
29:17
That was the the bailout for the banks from the banking crisis we
29:21
had a year ago. And they're going to have to
29:23
kind of face the music with the fact that a lot of their bonds
29:29
that they hold as assets have have gone down quite
29:32
significantly in value. We already talked about the
29:35
reverse repo program. There's a lot going on.
29:38
Pat, can I, can I give you a break for one second while I say
29:42
thank you to my channel sponsors?
29:44
And then we're going to come back, guys, and talk about we're
29:48
talking about all this craziness in the world, right?
29:51
But what's going on internally here at the United States?
29:54
We're going to look at it on a national basis, how state by
29:57
state we have legal tender progress being made and then
30:01
Pat's going to talk specifically about where he's an expert and
30:05
that is Missouri. And I think Pat even has a call
30:08
to action for you. But first I want to please say
30:12
thank you to channel sponsor Pinbex Pi MB EX, the online
30:17
bullion dealer. If you think it's smart to put
30:21
some of your hard earned paper money into silver, gold,
30:24
platinum, do yourself a favor. Check out Pinbex.
30:28
I think and I believe, well, I kind of know what you're going
30:32
to find is they have great prices, great selection and
30:35
great service. I've been a customer of Pinbex
30:38
now for over a year, but you need to find out for yourself.
30:42
You can go to pinbex.com and I want to say thank you to Fortuna
30:47
Silver who is actually more of a gold miner at this point.
30:51
And tonight after the markets close, we're going to hear from
30:54
Fortuna regarding their fiscal year 2023 results.
30:59
Fourth quarter 2023 results should be very exciting.
31:03
You can learn more about them at fortunasilver.com and of course
31:07
of course our friends at First Mining Gold, Canadian Gold
31:11
Development Company, 25 million ounce projects in Canada.
31:16
You can learn more about them at firstmininggold.com.
31:20
Pat Holland, back to you. What's going on in the world of
31:25
of lead gold and silver legal tender legislation?
31:28
Yeah. Well, as you know, actually I
31:30
think the full number that we know of right now is 24 states,
31:33
24 states are going for silver and gold legislation.
31:37
And I think it's really, really important for people to
31:40
understand that that that's actually one higher than last
31:42
year. We had 23 states doing it last
31:45
year. But the the fact of the matter
31:47
is when you have that many states trying to do the same
31:51
thing at the same time, it's just like trying to prevent, you
31:55
know, without getting into politics, illegal aliens from
31:58
voting. A lot of states are working
32:00
very, very hard on that right now at the same time.
32:04
But it's the same thing with the gold and silver legislation so
32:09
and all. Pat.
32:10
Yeah. Sorry to interrupt you.
32:12
I don't know if you, I know. Just so everybody knows, Pat and
32:14
I had some technical difficulties before we came on.
32:17
So he's graciously doing this from his phone.
32:21
I don't know if you can see the screen, but what I pulled up is
32:24
the Citizens for Sound Money. They have a a section of their
32:29
website called Find Campaign. So I'm just kind of scrolling
32:32
through all the States and I think Daniel Diaz over there is
32:37
doing a great job of keeping this updated in terms of the
32:39
States and kind of where they are.
32:41
And again, I apologize for interrupting you.
32:43
No, you're good. In fact, I'm glad they have that
32:46
because you know, once again, I the 10th Amendment Center is
32:50
generally where I go. I didn't realize there was
32:53
another source to find state legislation.
32:55
So I'm grateful to the citizens for sound money for providing
32:58
such an easy, easy access for me to actually get that
33:02
information. Let me tell you a little about
33:04
what's going on in Missouri. In Missouri, we do have a
33:08
wonderful legal tender bill and it does a few more things than
33:12
just legal tender. But at any rate, we are engaged
33:16
apparently in a slow walking process of this legislation out
33:20
of committee. So this is standard fare.
33:24
This is usually for political reasons.
33:27
So if you ask me, Pat, why would why would a committee chairman
33:32
in the Missouri legislature actually be slow walking a bill?
33:36
Well, there could be a ton of reasons, but it's most likely
33:38
one of two things. They want to kill it or they
33:42
want to use it as leverage. So it's one of the two, but one
33:46
thing that I do know is that basically most of the
33:51
legislature is very, very responsive to grassroots action.
33:56
And therefore I have a call to action and I would like people
33:59
to help us out and participate in this process.
34:02
Now this is involving a phone call to the chairman and it, I
34:07
don't know if you could check your e-mail, Ron, I sent you an
34:10
e-mail with a link to the Chairman's page on the Missouri
34:13
House site, but I can also give that information, you know,
34:16
verbally. The Chairman's name is
34:19
Representative Michael O'Donnell and the name of the of the
34:23
committee is financial Institutions.
34:26
That's where our Silver and gold bill is.
34:28
It's been in there for six weeks now, six weeks.
34:31
We did have a hearing that's done and over with.
34:34
That was over a week ago, but we have not had an executive
34:39
session. What that means, it's time for
34:42
the committee members to vote on the bill to find out whether or
34:45
not it continues on in the process.
34:47
We're simply not getting that vote.
34:49
It's just laying there. So this is one thing I want to
34:53
say before I give out a telephone number, guys.
34:56
It's very, very important when you engage in grassroots
34:59
activity that you are civil. And also, I'm going to recommend
35:05
you smile when you're talking on the phone.
35:07
Believe it or not, people, most people can hear when you're
35:10
smiling. And so that comes across as very
35:12
positive as well. But the message to
35:16
Representative Michael O'Donnell is it's time to have an
35:19
executive session. It's time to vote on silver and
35:23
gold in his committee. So I'm going to give out his
35:27
telephone number and then also if his e-mail address and we
35:31
would like to start calling him right away.
35:35
So his number is 573 and this is his office number, 573-751-3762.
35:46
I'm going to read it again slower, 573-751-3762.
35:55
And I think it'd be a really good idea if people in Missouri.
35:59
And by the way, if you're in Missouri, of course call.
36:02
If you're not in Missouri, I can't stop you from calling.
36:06
But the message to the chairman is simple.
36:09
It's time to vote on silver and gold.
36:12
Please bring it up it and if you want to, you could even leave a
36:15
message. And by the way, if lots of
36:17
people are calling, there's only got one person there answering
36:20
the phone, so his LA. So most of them will be
36:24
voicemail. You'll just leave a voicemail.
36:26
But please give a positive reason as to why you want silver
36:30
and gold legislation passed in the state of Missouri.
36:33
So an example of this is, hey that's that's an awesome bill.
36:38
We finally have a solution to inflation and the threat of a
36:42
digital currency wrapped up in one bill.
36:44
And so we'd like to see this go through the process.
36:48
So that's I want. To interject something, Pat,
36:50
because I feel passionately about this, and that is for
36:54
everybody out there that's watching right now.
36:57
I know one thing about you I can say for sure.
37:00
Either you love silver or you love gold or you love them both.
37:05
You love your family. You want to protect your family.
37:08
You want to protect your wealth with silver and gold.
37:11
Why? And I think a lot of people then
37:13
just kind of sit silently. I would throw out this question
37:17
to you. Why wouldn't you want to get
37:19
involved or be a a strong proponent at minimum right.
37:24
A phone call and e-mail whatever it is to help further
37:27
legislation no matter what state you're in.
37:30
Because because you know if it's if it has to do with with this
37:34
with this idea that silver and gold and you want to hold silver
37:38
and gold. I would think that people and I
37:41
mean this in a nice way. But like the people would want
37:44
to see legislation passed in their state that would protect
37:48
their ability or even give them their their ability to reclaim
37:53
their constitutional right to use silver and gold as real
37:56
money. I agree.
37:58
And the The funny thing is, you know, for instance, when I was
38:01
talking to the chairman, I've had a couple of meetings with
38:04
them when I was talking to the chairman.
38:05
You know, he's all concerned about capital gains taxes,
38:09
removing capital gains taxes from gold and silver.
38:11
But you have to. It's money.
38:13
You can't charge capital gains tax on money, you know.
38:17
So you can let me, let me. I gotta, I want to say, well, I
38:21
got to interrupt you again. You cannot.
38:23
I want to repeat what Pat said. You cannot charge.
38:26
I'm sorry, I'm yelling. You cannot charge.
38:28
Capital gains tax on money that would be like if if you had
38:33
$100,000 in the bank and the DXY index went up by 10% one year
38:38
that you would be charged a tax on your 10% price on your on
38:44
your dollars. It doesn't make any sense and
38:48
and I'm going to interrupt you again because I had another
38:51
brown breaking thought about that but it's it's it's just
38:54
absolutely ridiculous that that you charge capital gains tax on
39:01
could the conversion of one form of money to another form of
39:06
money. Sorry I interrupted you, Pat.
39:08
No, you're you're right. And and the same thing goes for
39:10
sales tax, you know, so we don't have that in Missouri.
39:14
So we don't have to worry about that.
39:15
Other states have to worry about it.
39:17
And so this is a critical thing, a critical juncture I think in
39:22
American history right now, the dollar, we will still be using
39:27
the dollar. There isn't a single bill that I
39:29
have seen in the entire United States of America that says
39:32
let's get rid of the dollar and just use gold and silver.
39:34
There's nothing like that. So the bills that are filed
39:37
across the country are let's use them both together, let the
39:40
people decide, let them have a choice.
39:43
But the fact of the matter is the dollar is inflationary.
39:46
Gold and silver are deflationary.
39:49
If people understand the concept of what that actually means,
39:52
guess what they're going to want to use for money Deflationary
39:55
money, because it goes up in value while they're sleeping.
39:58
They can buy more stuff with it the next day.
40:01
That's just not true with the dollar, and not not currently
40:04
anyway. And I will remind people that we
40:06
will probably go through a deflationary period.
40:10
And I don't know when that'll be that might be this year, I meant
40:13
for all we know. But the fact of the matter is it
40:16
will be short and I. Mean the Speaking of the dollar,
40:20
Speaking of the dollar, I remembered my thought, Pat, I
40:23
have to share this with you. OK.
40:25
So I have a question for you Pat.
40:27
Since right now our government charges, the federal government
40:31
charges a capital gains tax on gold and silver, right?
40:35
If I have, you know, 1000 ounces of silver that I paid $10.00 for
40:41
and I sell it today for $25, I've made a a $15,000 profit,
40:47
which is a capital gain, which means I have to pay tax on that
40:51
$15,000 when I do my tax return. By the way, I did not do that.
40:56
I'm just, I've never sold silver, but I'm using that as an
40:58
example. Here's my question for you Pat.
41:01
If the government is allowing us to to if if you can charge
41:06
capital gains tax, you can also write off capital losses.
41:11
I think there's a limit. I happen to be an old accountant
41:14
of $3000, but my question would be this Pat if let's just say I
41:18
had $100,000 in my bank account in 2022.
41:23
Inflation was officially at 10%, right?
41:28
So I lost 10% of my value of my dollars in my bank account.
41:32
My question is why can't I write that off as a capital loss?
41:36
If I Does that make sense? Yeah, well, I'm sorry.
41:39
You're wanting a world without double standards for taxation.
41:42
I'm sorry, buddy. It you're.
41:45
I'm sorry. It's just not going to happen
41:47
anytime soon. And then that applies, say.
41:49
This this is not, this is not financial advice.
41:52
I'm not, I'm not recommending anyone do that.
41:55
I'm just right at eloquently pointed out it's kind of a
41:58
double standard. Sorry, Pat.
42:00
Yeah, not just kind of. It is a double standard.
42:03
The same thing is true with, you know what?
42:05
The lottery winnings. You win the lottery.
42:07
You got to pay taxes, you spend, you know, $10,000 on lottery
42:11
tickets during the year and you win nothing.
42:13
I don't think you can write that off, No.
42:15
So you know it's a double. Standard you you can only write
42:18
off gambling losses unless the tax code is changed.
42:23
But you can only write off gambling losses to the extent
42:27
that you have gambling wins, so that's correct.
42:30
So so you know if a person wins 10 million in the Lotto you know
42:36
and they only spent 10 and it doesn't matter what they spent
42:39
all those other as far as I know again I'm I'm my my accounting
42:43
skills are rusty but I but I do know that's the the the law for
42:47
for gambling winnings. Well, you're right.
42:50
And of course the the other law of gambling is there's no such
42:54
thing as a lottery if you don't have losers.
42:57
And so you can't write off your loss.
43:00
You know, your loss of buying tickets unless you have a win.
43:03
So you you describe that quite eloquently and I want to say,
43:06
hey listen man, I'm a big fan of the cowbell and we got 213 likes
43:11
and I think it's time. Yeah.
43:13
More cowbell, please. More cowbell.
43:16
All right, here we go. I'm going to ring it.
43:18
Ring the cowbell. Whoa, whoa, wait, wait.
43:20
I got to get that back on the screen.
43:23
Hi, everybody. It's time for the cowbell.
43:26
So if you don't like the cowbell, turn off your volume or
43:28
turn down your volume. Let's ring it and then Pat.
43:36
We always do one extra ring for Jake from.
43:40
Jake, there we go. Parts.
43:42
Yeah. Yeah.
43:44
Did did Jake send that bell to you?
43:47
No, Joe. A guy named Joe F OK, gotcha.
43:50
Who was a regular here in the basement and he works real close
43:54
to our house. He actually brought it by the
43:55
house one day on his lunch place.
43:58
So cool. That's where that that's where
44:00
that came from. OK.
44:02
Well, I I'm a big fan of the cowbell and if you guys have not
44:04
seen that old Saturday Night Live skit with Christopher
44:07
Walken with more cowbell, please look that up sometime.
44:11
It's a funny skit only takes about four minutes to watch, but
44:14
that's where that came from and I do believe that was in the 80s
44:16
that that happened, might have been the early 90s.
44:20
So to get back to our conversation though, and I don't
44:23
know if it showed up in the chat, but I did put the
44:25
telephone number in for Representative O'Donnell, the
44:28
chairman of the committee that is slow walking gold and silver.
44:31
And remember, when you call, be nice.
44:34
Being angry, being bitter or accusing people doesn't help at
44:38
all when it comes to getting legislation done.
44:41
And that's a fact. So I'd like to give out the
44:43
number one more time for Representative Michael
44:47
O'Donnell. His number is 573-751-3762 and
44:56
his e-mail address is Michael spelled out period O'Donnell at
45:04
house.mo.gov So if you prefer to e-mail him and let him know,
45:11
hey, listen, let our silver and gold bill free, You know, it's
45:14
time to actually actually have a vote on this thing.
45:18
We're trying to get an executive session for next Tuesday.
45:21
You brought up the 11th. The 11th is a very big day for
45:24
us too, Ron. We have a a knock in shock
45:28
operation going on. And I don't want to say exactly
45:31
what we're doing yet because, you know, I'm waiting on a few
45:34
things to happen first before I can announce what the mission
45:37
is, because we always have a mission with knock in shock.
45:40
But we also have a rally that day in the Rotunda of the
45:44
Capitol. All grassroots are always
45:46
invited to all of our rallies. These are big rallies.
45:49
Our first one was like 400 folks.
45:52
So let's get another 400 folks out there and then we can
45:57
support Silver and Gold that day as well.
46:00
And like I said, I'll, I'll probably make an announcement.
46:02
It'll be in my e-mail list. If you're on my e-mail list,
46:06
you'll see what I'm talking about.
46:07
But I'm waiting for something to happen 1st, and then I can make
46:10
an announcement of what we're going to do with knock and
46:12
shock. And so, if you want to get on
46:14
Pat's e-mail list, go to mowfree.org, correct?
46:22
That's correct. That is absolutely correct.
46:23
That, yeah, if you go to our website and you go to the bottom
46:27
right hand or right hand side of the screen, Scroll down just a
46:30
little bit, you'll see where you can enter our e-mail list.
46:33
So if you're in Missouri particularly, you know, if
46:37
you're not in Missouri, you can join the list too.
46:40
But Missourians, please join the list.
46:42
We have to work together to get legislation like this done,
46:45
whereas this passes in other states very easily, in some some
46:49
cases not so easily. We seem to have a really hard
46:52
time getting this across the finish line despite the sheer
46:56
popularity of the bill with the grassroots, with the people of
46:59
Missouri and with the legislature.
47:01
Yet we we get slow walked again this year.
47:04
We need to actually start moving this bill and it's not like
47:08
we're out of time, we're not out of time.
47:10
We have plenty of time to get this bill done, but we do need
47:12
to get it moving again. It's been sitting in a committee
47:15
for six weeks, so we need to start moving it again.
47:18
And once again, Chairman O'Donnell.
47:20
And once again, if you live in another state and you want to
47:23
call, I can't stop you. But everyone in Missouri
47:25
definitely needs to call Chairman O'donnell's number
47:28
573751 3762. And that's how you get a hold of
47:36
the chairman and just leave a nice message, if you will,
47:40
saying that you're very supportive of HB 1955.
47:45
That's the silver and gold build in question here.
47:48
That's Representative Hardwick. Hardwick's been on your show
47:50
before. He actually was in the basement,
47:53
yes. That's right.
47:54
Wonderful man. Yep, he's a good guy.
47:57
And so at any rate, he's working the inside of this.
48:00
We're working the outside of this.
48:02
We're trying to get it through. And this is very important for
48:05
Missouri and I think it's important for these other states
48:08
that I don't think I know for a fact it's important.
48:11
But I I'm starting to get the feeling that we're running out
48:14
of time, that we need to get this stuff done, the silver and
48:16
gold legislation in all these states as quickly as possible.
48:19
And then also another exciting aspect of it is trade between
48:23
the States and silver and gold. Wouldn't that be cool?
48:25
It's gonna happen. Because look how many states are
48:27
going for depositories. I bet that's really wild.
48:31
And and let me remind the silver and gold enthusiast out there
48:36
who's with us today, legal tender legislation on any level
48:42
even if it goes up to things like asset backed digital
48:45
current, you know asset backed digital currencies, a modern way
48:50
to make gold and silver functional.
48:52
But, but at any level, any type of silver and gold legal tender
48:56
legislation can only help the overall demand profile for
49:01
precious metals. Would you, would you agree with
49:03
that, Pat? I would and that's a that's a
49:07
supply demand issue. That is basic economics
49:11
actually. So if you have depositories
49:14
across the United States starting to secure some of their
49:18
reserves in the form of gold and silver as opposed to bonds or
49:21
treasuries, which most states actually hold their reserves in,
49:25
I think there might be a little bit of a supply problem, I
49:29
think. I think that's possible.
49:32
Well, let's let me, let's just remember right now the gold
49:36
price is rocking and rolling the silver price and if it's OK with
49:40
Pat, we're going to go out and check and see if Pat brought
49:43
good luck to the silver price when he was on here.
49:45
But, but I'm going to pull it up here in a second, Pat.
49:48
OK. You know this?
49:50
This I have not looked today, yeah.
49:52
Not look today. Well, we'll see if.
49:53
We'll see if Pat Holland brought us good luck.
49:56
But this. But this legislation can only
49:58
serve the increased demand. And let's not forget guys, this
50:02
is critical for silver and Gold investors.
50:05
Gold has been rocking and rolling.
50:07
Silver's hanging in there. Maybe we're above $24.00.
50:11
It's been doing that with absolutely 0 interest.
50:17
Very very very very poor. Bad sentiment, feelings in the
50:21
Western countries. Major outflows from the GLDETF.
50:25
Major outflows from the SLVETF retail silver investment.
50:31
Down, down, down. OK, so so think about that.
50:34
Silver and gold have hung in there.
50:35
Gold's bumping up against an all time high, but it's done that
50:40
with Western United States, Europe demand and sentiment
50:44
being in the toilet. Imagine what could happen if
50:48
sentiment just got a little better.
50:49
Rick Rule, I love to say. The saying says Silver doesn't
50:53
have to be loved to to skyrocket.
50:56
Silver just needs to be a little less hated, right?
51:00
And you know things like this legal tender, I mean this is a
51:03
movement sweeping across the country.
51:06
It's important to us. It's a big deal.
51:08
And let's go out Pat if it's OK with you and check the check the
51:12
silver price. See how we're doing.
51:14
See it see if Pat Holland brought us some some good luck
51:17
today. You know what we'll just go to
51:19
pin backs. I think they oh oh what do you
51:21
know pin backs channel sponsor silver.
51:24
Well Pat you you raised the price by $0.50 per oz.
51:28
I think we'll give you an A plus.
51:30
And OK, cool. Thank you.
51:31
Look at gold at 2142. You have a few more minutes Pat,
51:36
just to run through. Susie provided me with some some
51:39
headlines today on what's going on.
51:41
We can get everybody up to speed as to why we're seeing this.
51:45
All according to I believe this is from Kitco.
51:48
Gold price remains strong as Fed chair.
51:50
Powell sings the same song. Again, this is from Kitco.
51:56
The gold market is holding its recent gains, but it's not
51:59
seeing any new momentum. I think this article's a few
52:02
hours old. It's Fed Reserve chair, is it?
52:06
I always get it mixed up. Is it drone pile or gomer Gomer
52:08
pile? I think they're interchangeable.
52:12
Hold on. Yes, Susie, Yes, yes.
52:24
Do You Need Me up 20 1? Dollars for gold.
52:29
Oh, wow, Susie says. Gold's up 21 dollars.
52:32
Sorry guys, Susie and I are still working through that, but
52:35
the Fed reserve Paul's going to be speaking today.
52:39
So you know apparently he's singing this prepared remarks
52:42
were were read by the market. Are you still with us, Pat?
52:45
I am. OK, let's go look at this one
52:48
real quick. Gold price because the other big
52:50
news story we're going to get this week is on Friday, we're
52:54
going to get jobs numbers and we all know the high level of
52:58
suspicion towards the jobs numbers that that, that, that,
53:03
that are going on. But today ADP put out their
53:06
report, they always do it on Wednesday and they missed
53:09
expectations. So you know Friday I've heard
53:12
several people say could be a a dicey day for the I'm going to
53:18
put you on full screen there, Pat for the for the precious
53:21
metals markets as we get from the Bureau of Labor and
53:25
Statistics the most recent jobs numbers because we all know
53:28
Bidenomics is working so well. Yeah.
53:32
In fact, I want to tell you a heartbreaking story.
53:35
And anyone here who who's listening to us today that
53:39
actually visits their local coin store, I'm going to ask you guys
53:43
a favor above and beyond calling Representative O'Donnell.
53:47
And that's to ask basically if they're getting a lot of silver
53:50
and gold coming into their store.
53:53
And I'm starting to hear from other people that they are.
53:56
A lot of people are selling gold and silver right now, but it's
54:00
not for the reasons you think. It's not because the price is
54:03
higher right now. It's because they're really
54:07
hurting and they need the money. And so this is exactly what we,
54:12
Mike Maloney, had actually predicted would happen towards
54:16
the end of the cycle is that people would sell out on gold or
54:20
some people would sell out on gold and silver just because
54:23
they desperately need the money. They cannot keep up with
54:25
inflation. So the only other thing I would
54:29
say is in regards to that is people do everything you can to
54:34
hang in there. If this stuff is still going to
54:37
go up and of course the states get legislation done and
54:41
depositories done that will help as well.
54:44
But the real problem is over printing the dollar.
54:47
I mean that's the real problem. This is your protection.
54:50
Sell something else so you know something else you have.
54:54
And and by the way, I hate to give financial advice and it
54:57
breaks my heart when I see that. So this is not a good situation
55:02
for a lot of people right now. The inflation is really
55:05
devastating and we need gold and silver.
55:08
And by the way, that is our constitutional right.
55:11
That is 100% our constitutional right businesses.
55:15
I've talked with a lot of businesses that seem to be very
55:17
interested in the idea of transacting in gold and silver
55:19
too. So this isn't just a, you know,
55:23
a wild, harebrained scheme cooked up by, you know, a couple
55:27
of, you know, government dissenters in the United States
55:30
of America to try and say the dollar is bad.
55:34
No, we're doing this for survival.
55:37
It's for survival gang. So it's not about getting rich
55:40
for me, it's about literally surviving.
55:43
Yeah, yeah. And I'm and I'm hearing that
55:45
same thing from several contacts including our friend coin shop
55:48
Chris, who over the last seems like 6-7 weeks was telling me
55:52
about people coming into the shop and selling some silver,
55:56
selling some gold because they need to buy groceries or they
56:00
need to pay their rent or they need to make a car payment.
56:03
And it is heartbreaking, no doubt about it.
56:06
And I think it'll last case. But also I guess to a certain
56:10
degree, it also does show us that your silver and gold can
56:15
provide for you during times of hardship.
56:19
You know, I guess the, the pardon the pun, but the silver
56:22
silver lining and all of that. And yeah, Pat, right.
56:25
Like you said, this is what our founding fathers, right?
56:29
You know, the Hamilton and the guys that wrote the US
56:33
Constitution, they are giving you a high 5 right now.
56:37
You know Andrew Jackson, Thomas Jefferson, This is what our
56:41
founding, I mean Thomas Jefferson said the biggest
56:43
threat to our country is not an invading army but central banks
56:48
and big corporate banking interest.
56:50
So it'll be great to watch as things progressed, Pat, that I
56:55
forget anything. I'll put some links and and
56:58
phone numbers and all that in the description of this video.
57:02
But on behalf of all the viewers for what you've done for us
57:06
today and over the last year plus.
57:08
Thank you Mr. Pat Holland. Thank you, Ron.
57:12
Thank you for entertaining, you know me on your show and
57:15
everything. I really do appreciate it.
57:18
Important date March 11th, gang. Monday at the Capitol in
57:21
Missouri, Jefferson City Rotunda.
57:24
We will have a giant rally. Gold and silver will be a part
57:27
of that rally. That's all I'm willing to say
57:29
right now. So this is a big deal for
57:34
Missouri and we need grassroots to come together.
57:38
Apparently the fact that this bill is incredibly popular has
57:41
more Co sponsors than any other bill.
57:45
The fact that it's gotten so many phone calls and so many
57:47
emails apparently isn't enough for O'Donnell.
57:50
So please do light up his phone today.
57:53
I'm I'm asking. I'm asking a favor, gang.
57:56
Let's get O'Donnell to understand how big this is and
57:59
how much we want it. So once again, I'm going to give
58:03
out his telephone number, 573, 751-3762.
58:10
And if you leave a message, just say please exec on gold and
58:14
silver HB 1955 or you could just simply say we need a vote in
58:19
your committee on gold and silver.
58:21
So that's essentially what you're asking for.
58:24
An executive session is a voting session in the committee.
58:27
So that's and then we shorten that, you know, 'cause we
58:29
shorten everything in Missouri, we call that, you know,
58:31
executing or executing out. So that's what we're trying to
58:37
do. The gold and silver thing is a
58:39
big deal here in Missouri, very big deal.
58:42
I guess some of the powers that be aren't real happy with the
58:44
bill. And I think it's time that we
58:47
show the might and the power of the grassroots to Chairman
58:52
O'Donnell. I think he needs to see how many
58:54
phone calls can be generated, how many people are wanting gold
58:57
and silver legislation in the state, How many people actually
59:01
care about this issue a great deal.
59:04
And by the way, we have not received any negative feedback
59:08
from any bankers. So specifically on HP 1955,
59:13
nothing. They're OK with it.
59:14
They're neutral. They're certainly not supporting
59:16
it. They're not making phone calls
59:18
saying this is the best thing since sliced bread, but they are
59:20
not fighting it because you know why, gang?
59:24
This is a really important point to drive home to, especially
59:26
when you have so many states doing this.
59:29
The fact of the matter is mom and pop banks, credit unions and
59:34
regional banks will disappear under a central bank digital
59:37
currency. They have no function anymore
59:40
and that's exactly gold. And silver is exactly what they
59:45
need to say in business. And we like our mom and pop
59:48
banks in our credit unions. We don't want them to go away.
59:51
They are pillars of the community.
59:53
They have always been there for us.
59:55
It's the Federal Reserve over printing dollars that is
59:58
literally writing their epitaphs now.
1:00:01
It is not you and I. So please do participate.
1:00:05
Please help us out. Please give Representative
1:00:07
O'Donnell a call and I really do appreciate it.
1:00:11
Yeah, well, Pat we we appreciate you being on the here in Ron's
1:00:15
basement on this live stream for over an hour.
1:00:19
On behalf of all the viewers, thank you.
1:00:21
I also want to say thank you to our moderator team helping out
1:00:25
moderate the chat. I always type 8 because eight is
1:00:29
great for those that moderate. And Pat, we're going to look
1:00:32
forward to seeing you again soon here in the basement.
1:00:35
Thank you very much Ron. Be blessed.
1:00:37
And again, I really appreciate you having me back buddy.
1:00:40
Love you. Love everyone in the basement.
1:00:42
Thank you guys and then for all you guys do.
1:00:46
So let's keep this thing going here and believe me the solution
1:00:49
is gold and silver. That is the solution.
1:00:51
And it may not be the end all, be all, but it's definitely part
1:00:55
of the transition from one currency to another over time
1:00:59
over history for over 1000 years.
1:01:01
When one Fiat currency fails in a country, they move to gold and
1:01:05
silver in the interim and then move to another one because they
1:01:08
have to value gold and silver from the old currency to the
1:01:11
new. And something is going to happen
1:01:14
here in the United States. Here with CDB CS.
1:01:16
It's coming gang. It's coming.
1:01:19
Hold on, hold on, hold on. Pat.
1:01:20
Sue, could you please repeat that, Susie?
1:01:23
But it definitely three more likes for the gong today. 03
1:01:29
more likes for the gong. Well, hey guys, let's let's ring
1:01:32
the gong. What are we at 297?
1:01:34
I can't see how many likes. Right, 299 it looks like to me

only Mac. Oh man, Let's get the gong done.
1:01:40

1:01:44
That's right. Our old friend Stu gave us a
1:01:46
gong. So we're going to ring the gong
1:01:51

1:01:59
for Pat Holland three times. I'm always fascinated with how
1:02:09

1:02:10
Thank you. We'll look.
1:02:12
Forward to seeing you soon. And thanks to all our viewers.
1:02:15
Have a great day. God bless all of you.
1:02:17
Thank you.
