  SPEAKER_00: Hello.
• 1:58
SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Cornish Witch Podcast.
• 2:00
SPEAKER_00: And I say Jen the Alchemy Witch, but you're also, you know, my friend.
• 2:04
SPEAKER_00: So it's nice, it's like sitting down and having a chat with my with my friend on the sofa rather than peer.
• 2:10
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 2:12
  SPEAKER_00: How are you?
• 2:13
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm good, thank you.
• 2:16
SPEAKER_00: Riding this horrible weird weather.
• 2:18
  SPEAKER_00: I know.
• 2:20
  SPEAKER_00: I know.
• 2:21
SPEAKER_00: I was just I know they say like April showers bring forth May flowers.
• 2:26
SPEAKER_00: But I feel like we're still leaving March.
• 2:28
SPEAKER_00: Or is it in like a lamb out like a lion?
• 2:30
SPEAKER_00: I still feel like we're in the that lion.
• 2:32
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 2:33
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 2:33
SPEAKER_03: I'm just it's the teasing of like we have a couple of like nice days of sunshine.
• 2:38
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 2:38
SPEAKER_03: Like, oh, and we all come alive and like we're all happy, and then like the next day it is miserable again.
• 2:43
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
• 2:44
SPEAKER_03: Just can't keep up with that.
• 2:45
  SPEAKER_00: No, no, it's unfun.
• 2:48
SPEAKER_00: So for my listeners, tell them a little bit about what it is that you do.
• 2:53
SPEAKER_03: So as the Alchemy Witch, my practice is anchored very much in transforming our shadows and the things we've been through in our past, and how we can kind of use that as lessons and growth to really step into self-transformation and our most authentic selves.
• 3:12
SPEAKER_03: Um, so I use tarot and I combine that with crystal energy healing.
• 3:16
SPEAKER_03: Um, just using tarot as like a conversation point to open up that conversation and but a big thing for me is empowering people.
• 3:28
SPEAKER_03: So having people come through and it not just being about me talking at you and telling you what the cards say, but actually empowering you to get involved and read them for yourself and bring your own interpretations and really opening up conversation so you can reflect because I don't want to gatekeep the magic of tarot or any of this stuff, it's something that all of us can access.
• 3:51
SPEAKER_03: It's um a wisdom and a knowledge and a skill that we all can tap into.
• 3:56
SPEAKER_03: And I'd love to empower people to be able to do that for themselves.
• 3:59
SPEAKER_03: Like actually, you don't always need to come and see me.
• 4:01
SPEAKER_03: Maybe you could buy your own deck and start learning for yourself.
• 4:04
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 4:05
SPEAKER_00: When you say working with shadow and working through past traumas that you might have been through, and all that some people might have been through to help them become their most authentic selves.
• 4:16
SPEAKER_00: Um, do you do you take from any sort of philosophers or other spiritualists, or like Carl Jung, for example, like psychotherapists from like shadow work?
• 4:30
SPEAKER_03: So Carl Jung comes massively into tarot with like the archetypes and the storytelling.
• 4:35
SPEAKER_03: I suppose shadow work is a blend of lots of psychology and lots of practices and beliefs.
• 4:42
SPEAKER_03: Um, but it's really tapping into those parts of our unconscious that maybe we've shut away or we've hidden away because we've put them into shame or parts of ourselves that maybe we're not comfortable with looking at yet.
• 4:57
SPEAKER_03: Um so it's how can we tap into those parts of our unconscious to come back into conversation with our whole self and integrating those parts of ourselves back in?
• 5:06
SPEAKER_03: Because I think in the spiritual world, there's we throw around the term love and light a lot.
• 5:11
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 5:11
SPEAKER_03: And actually, love and light is beautiful and it's a massive part of it, but you also have to learn to walk your shadows and to integrate those parts into you so you can become whole and authentic.
• 5:22
SPEAKER_00: Um would one if someone was interested in in in doing it in journeying into their shadow side, but they've like they perhaps felt a bit they're a bit uh is the words anticipation, they're not anticipation, maybe anxious or I don't know, I can't find the right verbiage, but um apprehensive.
• 5:48
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and and also then like well I can't afford to have a mental breakdown because I don't have a financial frame to support it, you know.
• 5:57
SPEAKER_00: And how long does shadow work also take?
• 6:00
SPEAKER_00: Because I'm I'm imagining it's not gonna take three months, it's probably gonna take, you know, years, especially if you have got a lot of I'm not really comfy.
• 6:10
SPEAKER_00: Um especially if you have got a lot of you know, a lot of trauma or a lot of stuff to to work through.
• 6:15
SPEAKER_03: You're absolutely right, shadow work can be, well, it's a lifelong journey because every time you think you feel from one thing, you kind of experience something new in life that might leave you a sink else to look at.
• 6:26
SPEAKER_03: So healing is an ever-growing thing, and actually it can become quite consuming.
• 6:31
SPEAKER_03: Um, like healing kind of becomes our identity, and actually it's really important throughout your healing journey to understand that you are acceptable and loved and perfect just the way you are, even though you're still walking the healing journey.
• 6:47
SPEAKER_03: So you are okay no matter what stage of the journey you're at.
• 6:51
SPEAKER_03: But in terms of the safety, I guess the starting point is actually anchoring down like what are the things that hold you in the safety.
• 7:00
SPEAKER_03: So if you're about to embody this work, do you have a strong enough community that you can rely on?
• 7:08
SPEAKER_03: Do you have grounding techniques or things that you do in your day-to-day routine that you know when things start spiraling that bring you back to that safety?
• 7:17
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 7:17
SPEAKER_03: Um, if you need community, there are places you can go and like do this work with other people and like be held in that love of other people.
• 7:27
SPEAKER_03: Um I think shadow work.
• 7:35
SPEAKER_03: The reason those shadows exist is like they're always there, they've always been a part of us.
• 7:42
SPEAKER_03: Um, you've already lived and experienced the horror, the trauma, the hardship of whatever that shadow is.
• 7:53
SPEAKER_03: The reason it stays as a shadow is because it can feel too much for us to go back and process, and because those emotions might feel too uncomfortable to sit in.
• 8:03
SPEAKER_03: Um, so I think it's going in knowing that it is going to be uncomfortable.
• 8:09
SPEAKER_03: But that is almost the teaching of it is to be okay with sitting with those hard emotions and to know that they will pass, and coming into relationship with yourself that during those difficult moments, okay, like how can I be my inner parent?
• 8:26
SPEAKER_03: How can I keep myself safe?
• 8:28
SPEAKER_03: How can I open up that conversation with myself to be curious, but to meet it with compassion and empathy?
• 8:36
SPEAKER_03: Um, and I think it's just always working at your own pace, never push yourself too far.
• 8:41
SPEAKER_03: Um, just take things like one chunk at a time, give yourself days off in between to like really sit and process it and allow your body to actually integrate and move that energy through.
• 8:53
SPEAKER_03: Um, and yeah, just reach out where you're struggling.
• 8:56
SPEAKER_03: Community is a big, big thing.
• 8:57
SPEAKER_03: We're never meant to walk any of this on our own.
• 9:00
SPEAKER_03: No conversation, like they say, a problem shared is a problem halved.
• 9:04
SPEAKER_03: It's always important to talk about stuff and talk stuff through with people.
• 9:10
SPEAKER_03: Um, but there's also a real power in that introspection, almost like the hermit mode of like taking some quiet time to yourself and journaling it through, or even just voice memoing yourself and saying it out loud, like just allowing yourself to process the stuff that does already exist within you.
• 9:30
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 9:31
SPEAKER_00: When you start working with someone, or if you have a client come to you and and you s you're gonna start doing the shadow work and doing that journey together, how long, how long do you stay with them?
• 9:42
SPEAKER_00: And how how intensely do you work with them?
• 9:46
SPEAKER_00: And then does it sort of trail off as you go further, as they get further in, but maybe not further in darkness, if you know what I mean?
• 9:53
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 9:54
SPEAKER_03: So in terms of climbing with I recommend a minimum of three, but it's normally up to about 10 sessions.
• 10:00
SPEAKER_03: Um and the way I work with my life coaching and stuff, it's all very person-centred.
• 10:06
SPEAKER_03: So I'm there to hold the container and kind of ask the right questions, but the work always will come from you, so it will always move at a pace that you're ready to.
• 10:16
SPEAKER_03: Um, I'm just there to kind of guide you and kind of give you that support and that safe container to land in.
• 10:24
SPEAKER_03: Um, but it's about you.
• 10:28
SPEAKER_03: So I would use tarot to open up that conversation.
• 10:31
SPEAKER_03: Um, I would then reflect with my client, and it's I can bounce off my clients of the things I will ask them to reflect on the cards, and it's in that moment that you will naturally bring what you're ready to speak about.
• 10:45
SPEAKER_03: Um, so that gives us a point to kind of focus on for that session, and we can then integrate that into energy healing and focusing on crystals that are really gonna align with the intentions of the work we were doing that day.
• 10:57
SPEAKER_03: And at the end of the session, I will always touch back in and we will set a small goal for like what you can do until I next see you.
• 11:05
SPEAKER_03: Um I've got a list of like places that I can signpost people advice in go it goes beyond my capacity.
• 11:12
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 11:12
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 11:12
SPEAKER_03: Um, I'm always free for people to like contact and reach out to following their session.
• 11:18
SPEAKER_03: So if people go home and actually they start processing something that came up during like the energy session and it becomes quite overwhelming, I'm always on the other end of a message to kind of walk people and haul people through that.
• 11:32
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 11:33
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 11:34
SPEAKER_00: How did you get into it, get into doing this?
• 11:38
SPEAKER_03: So when I was in university, I think I really started to reflect on my own life and kind of what had shaped me into being the person I am today.
• 11:53
SPEAKER_03: Um, looking back through childhood and all the stuff that had kind of shaped me and influenced me.
• 11:59
SPEAKER_03: Um, and that kind of yeah, opened up my own shadow work.
• 12:03
SPEAKER_03: Um with that came a lot of anger, came a lot of shame, came a lot of I guess disappointment for things that frustration that adults around me had let me down because I am undiagnosed with neurodivergence.
• 12:21
SPEAKER_03: I've got autism and ADHD.
• 12:23
SPEAKER_03: Actually, throughout my whole life, that was kind of missed.
• 12:26
SPEAKER_03: Um so I had to really sit and process some of these big heavy emotions, and through that I found love, I found compassion, I found understanding, and I was able to understand why those adults let me down.
• 12:43
SPEAKER_03: Um, come to a place of acceptance.
• 12:45
SPEAKER_03: It doesn't necessarily mean that it was okay, but I've come to a place of accepting that that's how it worked out, and actually I always sit on things and go, what is the lesson in this?
• 12:59
SPEAKER_03: Um, whenever blows up in my life or something goes wrong, the first question I ask myself is, What is the lesson?
• 13:05
SPEAKER_03: And that is what's really carried me through this journey.
• 13:08
SPEAKER_03: Um, and this is why I call myself the Alchemy Witch, because it's always about taking those experiences, those hardships, and actually going, right, how can I now use this to grow and to better myself and to learn lessons?
• 13:22
SPEAKER_03: Um, what is yeah, what is this experience and this trying to teach me?
• 13:27
SPEAKER_03: Where is it trying to re-guide me?
• 13:29
SPEAKER_03: Or what is it about myself that I've maybe not looked at?
• 13:32
SPEAKER_03: Um so trying to think of an example here.
• 13:37
SPEAKER_03: So okay, so one of the things that came up for me um during my shadow work was actually I really struggle reaching out and asking for help.
• 13:49
SPEAKER_03: Um, but then I will get frustrated when people don't help me or people offer help, but it's not quite in the way that I need it to be.
• 13:58
SPEAKER_03: And actually, I'm projecting this frustration out on people, and I'm getting angry or annoyed because they're not helping me in the way that I need them to.
• 14:06
SPEAKER_03: But actually, that was a chance for me to look inward and go, but I'm not expressing what I need, and actually I'm not allowing people, I'm not giving people the chance to show up.
• 14:17
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 14:17
SPEAKER_03: And even if they don't get it quite right, I'm like, it's allowing people to show up and get it wrong, and like their intention is still good, they're still trying to help, they're still coming from a place of love.
• 14:27
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 14:28
SPEAKER_03: So actually, it was a really beautiful chance for me to look inward and go, Oh, okay, there's something in me that there's a wound there where maybe in the past people have let me down and I've got this hyper-independence, but I'm coming into a place now where yeah, I know how important it is to reach out for help and to lean on other people, and we're never meant to walk this on our own.
• 14:49
SPEAKER_03: It's too much for one person to kind of carry by themselves.
• 14:53
SPEAKER_00: Are you a firstborn daughter?
• 14:55
  SPEAKER_00: Uh, yes.
• 14:56
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I thought so.
• 14:58
SPEAKER_00: We're very hyper-independent and we carry a lot, and we're like, no, we can do it by ourselves.
• 15:03
SPEAKER_00: We don't need anyone, and we'll take on everyone else's problems, and then it's just like, fuck.
• 15:10
  SPEAKER_00: Firstborn daughters.
• 15:12
SPEAKER_00: Any firstborn daughters out there who know what we're talking about, put a comment on this episode.
• 15:17
  SPEAKER_00: Just put firstborn daughter.
• 15:19
SPEAKER_00: For you to have gone through that whilst you were at uni, we're at uni what we're around, but we're between 18 and 21, 22, like the average.
• 15:28
SPEAKER_00: It's quite profound for you to be going through that and to do that work at such a young age.
• 15:34
SPEAKER_00: When I was at uni, I was a mess.
• 15:38
SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, I was going out.
• 15:40
SPEAKER_00: Obviously, you go out and you get drunk and you and you you have you have relationships and you stress about your coursework and you stress about life and you and you have, you know, lots of menti bees, just treat yourself to a little many bee.
• 15:57
SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, I wouldn't, if I was when I was going out at uni, I wouldn't start getting ready until like 10 o'clock.
• 16:04
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 16:04
SPEAKER_00: To leave, I'd be leaving at half eleven, not getting home till four, you know.
• 16:08
SPEAKER_00: And that these days I'm like, why would you do that?
• 16:11
SPEAKER_00: But for you to then say that you've gone through such a very deep, reflective inner journey and done a lot of work on yourself and faced a lot of demons at a tender age where you're just starting out in life.
• 16:29
SPEAKER_00: That is incredibly profound, Jenna, and very, very your self-awareness is huge, which is amaz it's amazing.
• 16:39
SPEAKER_00: I'm really like, I don't want to say I'm really impressed because I don't want to sound like I'm patronising you, but I think I'm just what's the word?
• 16:47
  SPEAKER_00: I think I I admire that.
• 16:49
  SPEAKER_00: And it's just, yeah, it's it's it's really quite incredible.
• 16:53
SPEAKER_00: I really appreciate that, thank you.
• 16:54
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
• 16:56
  SPEAKER_03: It's interesting as well.
• 16:57
SPEAKER_03: I think when I if I sit and ask myself like what triggered this journey, and I say this with caution because I know medication for mental health is an incredible lifesaver for a lot of people, and I think it's a very personal decision, um, and I think there is a lot of power in medication.
• 17:16
SPEAKER_03: Um I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression during uni.
• 17:21
SPEAKER_03: Um, and my doctors put me on like an SSR medication um combination for the two.
• 17:28
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 17:29
SPEAKER_03: And I was on it for a couple of weeks, probably not even enough weeks to like feel the effects of it, but something in my gut was like, this isn't the route for you.
• 17:39
SPEAKER_03: And it was in that moment that I went, what is causing my anxiety and depression?
• 17:45
SPEAKER_03: And I realized that it was because there was all this stuff inside me that I hadn't properly processed, I hadn't had adults to show me proper emotional regulation.
• 17:56
SPEAKER_03: So there's all of this like lifetime of emotion that I'd never fully felt or processed.
• 18:03
SPEAKER_03: So I am very good at kind of being self-aware.
• 18:07
SPEAKER_03: But what I'm not so good at is the embodiment of that emotion, actually allowing myself to sit and feel it.
• 18:13
SPEAKER_03: And it was that journey of being put onto medication that made me go, this isn't the right route for me because I need to do the inner work.
• 18:22
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 18:22
SPEAKER_03: Actually, there was something about being on medication that I just felt was gonna mass the symptoms, and yes, it would make my life more manageable, but it wasn't addressing the stuff that was lying underneath it, and therefore, if I didn't address that stuff, it was never gonna get easier.
• 18:40
SPEAKER_03: For some people, it's doing that work alongside the medication, and the the medication allows that stability, so you can do the work alongside it.
• 18:48
SPEAKER_03: For me, it just I wanted my system to be at complete baseline with no influence of anything else, so I could really come into conversation with a clear head.
• 18:59
SPEAKER_00: So, in order for you to heal, you searched for the cause, so you could treat the cause and not manage the symptoms.
• 19:07
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 19:08
SPEAKER_00: Which you know, I think is really, really, really important.
• 19:13
SPEAKER_00: And you see it in not just mental health, but you know, in physical health as well.
• 19:18
SPEAKER_00: The amount of times that you'll go to the doctor and you've got these issues and these symptoms, and you're constantly being given the medication or the treatment to manage the symptoms, but it's not curing it.
• 19:28
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 19:29
SPEAKER_00: You need to find the cause.
• 19:30
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 19:31
SPEAKER_00: And I also and then and then I end up getting on my soapbox going, Well, wouldn't it be cheaper for the NHS if we just treated the causes and not spent loads of money managing all these symptoms?
• 19:40
SPEAKER_00: But Big Pharma doesn't want us to do that.
• 19:42
SPEAKER_00: So but yeah, no, absolutely.
• 19:44
SPEAKER_00: It's just the right, rational, logical way to go as well.
• 19:48
SPEAKER_00: Treat the cause, don't manage the symptoms rather than managing the symptoms.
• 19:51
SPEAKER_00: If we can treat the cause, you're gonna heal.
• 19:54
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 19:54
SPEAKER_03: And to look at yourself holistically, if you're just honing in on the symptoms, like you said, you're just treating the physical manifestation rather than looking at what has caused that thing to manifest in the first place.
• 20:06
SPEAKER_03: Whereas if we're treating ourselves holistically, we're bringing balance across our whole being.
• 20:11
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 20:12
SPEAKER_03: And therefore, actually, that energy that's blocked or stagnated can start to move and be integrated back in.
• 20:20
SPEAKER_03: Um, whereas if we're just treating the physical symptoms, like that emotional or mental trigger that's lying underneath is just gonna keep resurfacing.
• 20:29
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 20:29
SPEAKER_03: Um, and it will get louder and louder because it's like you're not listening, and it's it it's often an inner child, it's that inner child part of you that's banging on the door and screaming out and trying to get someone to listen because there's a need that wants to be met.
• 20:43
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 20:45
SPEAKER_00: It's interesting how you also said that when you started taking your medication, you felt in your gut.
• 20:50
SPEAKER_00: And there's also, you know, that link between the the back brain and gut bioming, and how your gut is your second brain as well, which again, it's like you're you're really listening and tapping in and tuning into your body, your whole system, not just on a physical level, but like you said, you go very deep, you go f f physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
• 21:10
SPEAKER_03: So you're making sure that all of those parts yeah, it's really interesting you said about the gut, actually, because I remember during that time of my life where the anxiety of depression was really high, and I actually got really bad like acid reflux, and like it was making me feel really nauseous, I wasn't eating, like it was the stress, it just kind of manifested as all these gut issues, and touch wood.
• 21:34
SPEAKER_03: Occasionally I get a little bit of acid reflux if I eat the wrong food.
• 21:38
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but overall it's nowhere near what it used to be.
• 21:42
SPEAKER_03: So there is definitely this relationship between yeah, our gut being the second break.
• 21:47
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 21:47
SPEAKER_00: And I hear you on the acid reflux, I really struggle with it.
• 21:51
  SPEAKER_00: It's horrible.
• 21:52
SPEAKER_00: It's horrible when you have that horrible it's I could like you get like a bubbling or a fist in your throat and the taste.
• 21:58
  SPEAKER_00: Oh awful, no.
• 22:00
SPEAKER_00: Um, no, I definitely know where you're coming from on that.
• 22:04
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know whether it's mine is just an age thing or probably anxiety or both.
• 22:10
  SPEAKER_00: A bit of everything.
• 22:11
SPEAKER_03: People with neurodivergence, the autism and HD, it's also very linked.
• 22:15
SPEAKER_03: Like we tend to have GERD and intestin issues.
• 22:19
SPEAKER_03: So there's definitely a yeah, association between those as well.
• 22:23
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 22:23
SPEAKER_00: For anyone who doesn't know what GERD is, it's gastroesophageal reflux disorder.
• 22:29
  SPEAKER_03: Very well.
• 22:35
SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm quite proud of myself remembering that.
• 22:39
SPEAKER_00: With your spiritual journey, and with your neurodiversity as well, how would you say that your spiritual journey started?
• 22:50
SPEAKER_00: Like going right like going right back to childhood when you were always sort of interested in the mystical and the magical and the esoteric?
• 22:59
SPEAKER_03: I think this was a really beautiful moment for me actually when I started like a true spiritual awakening in my early 20s, because as I walked my spiritual journey, I realized how yeah, this has been with me my whole life.
• 23:13
SPEAKER_03: I was always that child that was drawn to crystals and had a small little collection of them.
• 23:18
SPEAKER_03: Um and one thing I used to do when I was really struggling as a kid is like I would talk to myself in the mirror.
• 23:24
SPEAKER_03: So what I now recognise as being scrying and mirror work, yeah, I would look into my own eyes and I would, it's almost like I was connecting to like adult version of me.
• 23:34
SPEAKER_03: So it's like I was connecting to the version of me now back as a child, and I would always talk to the sky in something greater, but I never believed in God, but I always knew that there was something bigger outside of us.
• 23:48
SPEAKER_03: Um so yeah, walking my spiritual journey, there was all these little beautiful moments that I was like, Oh, actually, this has been with me since a child, and like that intuition has always been there, yeah.
• 23:57
SPEAKER_03: And I think that's such a lovely thing because as children we're more receptive to it.
• 24:01
SPEAKER_03: Um, society kind of conditions it out of us as we enter the rat race of the worlds that we're in at the moment.
• 24:08
SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, like that knowledge, that intuition, that ancestral wisdom was always with me.
• 24:20
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 24:21
SPEAKER_00: Speaking of ancestral wisdom, was is there anyone in your family not not immediate but ancestrally, you know, either great aunts, grandparents, or uncles that were um spirit yeah, spiritually that way as well?
• 24:37
SPEAKER_03: We don't know a huge amount about my um like family history, but my mum is pretty sure that on her side of the family, like yeah, we did like one of her nans used to read tea leaves.
• 24:47
SPEAKER_03: And when we were clearing out my grandparents' house, we came across like witches' bells and a big like scrying ball.
• 24:52
SPEAKER_03: Um which is really interesting because like growing up my mum was quite superstitious, and I think her parents were as well.
• 24:59
SPEAKER_03: Um, because my granddad, like he refused to have the witch's ball in the house because he was convinced that it held like bad energy.
• 25:05
SPEAKER_03: Um so yeah, they've always grown up like I was never allowed to put like umbrellas up in the house or just walk under ladders, like if I broke a mirror end of the world.
• 25:15
SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah, we had those superstitions as well growing up, yeah.
• 25:18
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and as a kid, like I never understood any of that stuff.
• 25:21
SPEAKER_03: I was used to like kind of laugh at my mum and roll roll my eyes and be like, oh, that's just it's silly.
• 25:26
SPEAKER_03: Um, but actually, like now I've walked some of the witchcraft stuff, and I can see the old like wise tales that these were rooted in and why these have become a belief.
• 25:36
SPEAKER_03: And I can see like, yeah, breaking a mirror of it being a portal.
• 25:39
SPEAKER_03: Like I now get the understanding behind it, but as a child, you're like, oh, that's just silly, isn't it?
• 25:44
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they have the whole don't you put new shoes on the table.
• 25:47
  SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
• 25:47
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 25:48
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 25:48
SPEAKER_00: I never I never got that as well.
• 25:50
SPEAKER_00: Like, I wanna if I say, you know, you go shopping for your school stuff in the summer holidays and you get a new pair of school shoes and you're putting all your stuff on the table, don't you put those new shoes on the table?
• 26:01
SPEAKER_03: We had one as well that if you bought someone like a new wallet or a purse, you'd always have to put a silver coin in the page.
• 26:07
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, or like a penny or something.
• 26:08
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 26:09
SPEAKER_03: You could never give somebody an empty wallet because it would meant that like their money would drain.
• 26:14
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I carry that with me though as well.
• 26:16
SPEAKER_00: Like if I ever give anyone, even if it's something small, like a penny has to be in it.
• 26:21
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's so I but I think we're losing a lot of that, you know, which is really, really sad.
• 26:26
  SPEAKER_00: We're losing a lot of it.
• 26:28
SPEAKER_03: There's little like yeah, rituals and like traditions, just those yeah.
• 26:33
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 26:33
SPEAKER_00: Even like like New Year, you open up your front door and your back door on New Year's Eve.
• 26:39
SPEAKER_00: So you let the new year in and the old year out.
• 26:42
SPEAKER_00: So the new year in comes new new year comes in through the front door and then the old year leaves through the back door.
• 26:48
SPEAKER_00: And even that sort of stuff doesn't really yet, you know, it's not talked about much or done anymore.
• 26:53
SPEAKER_00: And if you mention it, I think a lot of probably Gen Zs will look at you and like, yeah.
• 26:59
SPEAKER_03: What are we talking about?
• 27:00
SPEAKER_03: Well, I think the traditions that have still kind of carried through, we've lost the connection of the stories.
• 27:05
SPEAKER_03: Yes, actually, like the roots of where they come from.
• 27:08
SPEAKER_03: It would be nice to yeah kind of bring more of that back.
• 27:11
  SPEAKER_00: It would.
• 27:12
SPEAKER_00: I was actually um God, my listeners are gonna get sick of me because I plug all the time, but I was actually at Emily's store yesterday, Black Cat Books, and she's got in a new book called Household Law, and it was all and it was all about all about the law and superstitions that you have in your home, and I only very briefly got to look through it.
• 27:31
SPEAKER_00: I didn't get to capture all of it, but but the the book is separated into rooms.
• 27:36
SPEAKER_00: So, like in parts of the house, like the front door, the hallway, the threshold, the stairs, the attic, the living room, the kitchen, very and I was like, oh this book is great.
• 27:44
SPEAKER_00: That reminds me of is it the Japanese um practice of is it fen shui?
• 27:49
  SPEAKER_00: Feng shui, yeah.
• 27:50
SPEAKER_03: Um like things like how you shouldn't have a mirror in front of your bed, or like how it's better to have is it your like your bed should be directly underneath a window, and like there's like certain things about how your room should be laid out and how different rooms in the home hold different energies and their different centres for things like that.
• 28:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like don't have certain things by the door.
• 28:12
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's funny because my bed is opposite my window.
• 28:17
SPEAKER_00: So and then my dressing table is under my window, so I have my dressing table mirror up uh looking at my bed.
• 28:26
SPEAKER_00: But what I do every night without fail is I cover my mirror, I cover the whole dressing table with a blanket because I'm like, I'm not never have two mirrors facing each other.
• 28:35
SPEAKER_03: Or like eat the side on the wall, so yeah, it's really the mirror one's really interesting because like I didn't know how much I believed it for a while because I've got a mirror, it's not directly facing my bed, but it's off to the side, so like it is still technically reflecting the bed area, yeah.
• 28:52
SPEAKER_03: Um but I remember, yeah, we lived in a flat a couple of years ago and it had a massive like uh wardrobe mirror right in front of the bed, and I had a really horrible episode of sleep paralysis.
• 29:04
SPEAKER_03: Um and ever since that moment I learnt to like lock my mirrors, so I now put like protective sigils on the floor.
• 29:11
SPEAKER_00: I do my sounds gross, but I do high saliva.
• 29:14
SPEAKER_00: I literally just lick my finger and I will just like either draw a pentagram, yeah, I will say little rituals and to say, you know, I'm locking this thing, I'm locking this mirror.
• 29:22
SPEAKER_00: Um, nothing without my permission is allowed through.
• 29:24
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, and you'll see my smudges on my mirrors are like little pentagrams or sigils around them.
• 29:32
SPEAKER_00: I do it as well.
• 29:33
SPEAKER_00: Okay, mine's a pentagram, that's what I use to lock things as well.
• 29:39
SPEAKER_00: But it's like I feel better for doing it, like, and especially if I get like anything new that comes in that was or that was pre-owned, I'm like cleansing this and and locking it straight away.
• 29:51
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 29:51
  SPEAKER_03: That's one thing.
• 29:52
SPEAKER_03: So as a kid, my mum used to try and get me to go shopping and charity shops all the time.
• 29:57
SPEAKER_03: And I really struggled with like secondhand stuff, and I've only like recently been like, oh, that's what it was.
• 30:04
SPEAKER_03: And it's because so when we talk about like psychic abilities, like clair audience, clairvoyance, all of that, I haven't got a visual mind in any sense of the word.
• 30:13
  SPEAKER_03: I I can't see stuff in my mind's eye.
• 30:16
SPEAKER_03: But I've got, I think what's called like clairsentience, or there's another name for it, but basically I like holding stuff so I can hold stuff and feel the energy of it.
• 30:26
SPEAKER_03: And I've realized that this is why I struggled with charity shops, is because I could pick up an item or a piece of clothing and feel the entire person that owned it before.
• 30:34
  SPEAKER_00: I think that's called psychometry.
• 30:36
  SPEAKER_00: It might be.
• 30:37
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I've done that.
• 30:38
  SPEAKER_00: I've done psychometry, it's very interesting.
• 30:40
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think.
• 30:41
SPEAKER_03: This is why I struggled with like secondhand stuff, is because I could feel the lingering energy of the person that owned it before.
• 30:48
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 30:49
SPEAKER_03: So, yeah, I love a charity shop now, but I'm very big on yeah, kind of cleansing stuff as it comes through my health.
• 30:56
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 30:57
SPEAKER_00: Have you learnt to ground yourself now as well and sort of put put yours put yourself in a bubble and protect yourself?
• 31:05
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, protection was a big one when I first started um all of my like witchcraft and spiritual journey.
• 31:11
SPEAKER_03: Um I'm not always the best because I've a little bit of a chaos witch at the same time, and sometimes I'm just like, yeah, I'm protected, my spirit team have got me.
• 31:21
SPEAKER_03: And they're just there in the background, like, bitch, like uh, she makes us work hard.
• 31:28
  SPEAKER_03: Look at Feynam.
• 31:29
SPEAKER_03: But those protections definitely come up if I'm doing like um if I'm working with ghosts, or if I'm going into areas where I can feel it while I'm walking in, or if I'm working with clients, I tend to put more protection up around myself.
• 31:44
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 31:44
SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, grounding's a really, really important one.
• 31:50
SPEAKER_03: Um I notice it like even if I just spent like with all this rubbish weather we have in the UK, you only have to spend like a day in the house and you can feel how much your energy shifts.
• 31:59
SPEAKER_03: Like not being outside with the natural world and feeding the fresh air.
• 32:04
SPEAKER_03: Like, we're not meant to be contained in brook square buildings.
• 32:08
  SPEAKER_03: No.
• 32:09
SPEAKER_03: And yeah, I can feel it very, very quickly.
• 32:11
SPEAKER_03: Like, I have like one day of just chilling on the sofa and I'm like, oh yeah, I'm like so drained.
• 32:19
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's yeah, you kind of like get a bit of cabin fever, don't you?
• 32:22
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 32:23
SPEAKER_00: And then it's hard to get out of.
• 32:24
SPEAKER_00: You get it's a slippery slope, and then you're stuck in that cycle.
• 32:29
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 32:30
SPEAKER_00: I can get like that a lot.
• 32:32
SPEAKER_03: And I think sometimes the more time you spend inside, it can actually get quite scary to step back out into the world.
• 32:38
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 32:40
SPEAKER_03: The outside world can feel quite overwhelming.
• 32:43
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, especially with the way things are at the moment as well.
• 32:47
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I totally get it.
• 32:49
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the world is on fire right now, and it just feels like we're all just skipping along, like with our heads in the clouds, like hello, nothing's happening.
• 32:56
SPEAKER_00: Have you seen that seen that meme where the office is on fire?
• 33:00
SPEAKER_00: It's like a cartoon, the office is on fire, and there's this like little cartoon creature just sat there with a cup of coffee at the desk going, everything's fine.
• 33:08
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's what it feels like.
• 33:10
  SPEAKER_00: It's fine.
• 33:12
  SPEAKER_00: I'm fine.
• 33:13
SPEAKER_00: And not raging fire everywhere.
• 33:16
SPEAKER_03: And part of me thinks there's such a strength in actually the fact we're all sitting here going, it's fine because we're not getting wrapped up in fear.
• 33:26
SPEAKER_03: Um, but it also just speaks volumes, I think, about how much we've seen over the last few years.
• 33:32
SPEAKER_03: It's almost like we've become so desensitized to like, yep, there's another wall, okay.
• 33:37
SPEAKER_03: Like it's just a bit heartbreaking, actually, that it's become so normalized for the world to be in such chaos.
• 33:44
SPEAKER_03: And I think as the small people, as the capitalism will call us, it's like we've lost our sense of power of like actually as a collective, we are so powerful, and if we all came together, we could evoke change.
• 34:01
SPEAKER_03: But I think we've fallen into like learnt helplessness of we're like we always say that thing of like, well, I'm just one person, what change what change can I make?
• 34:11
SPEAKER_03: And actually, if we all gather together, changes possible.
• 34:15
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 34:16
SPEAKER_00: It makes me think of um the film Viva Vendetta.
• 34:20
SPEAKER_00: Have you seen that film?
• 34:21
  SPEAKER_03: I've not, you know.
• 34:22
SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh! Oh my goodness, it's such a good film.
• 34:25
SPEAKER_00: I think it was a graphic novel and then the film was based on the graphic novel.
• 34:29
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 34:30
  SPEAKER_00: Um it's incredible.
• 34:33
  SPEAKER_00: It's really, really incredible.
• 34:34
SPEAKER_00: I thought to my life.
• 34:35
SPEAKER_00: Yes, I think just from what you were just saying there, it's I think it's something you really need to watch.
• 34:42
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, for sure.
• 34:43
  SPEAKER_00: It's very good.
• 34:44
SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, but better sort of I mean, it could be easy to go down into a sort of mystical political rabbit hole with you.
• 34:55
  SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
• 34:55
SPEAKER_00: That's my favourite thing to do.
• 35:00
SPEAKER_00: I mean, how how bad do we think it's gonna get?
• 35:03
SPEAKER_00: What do you think the what do you think our sort of crescendo or you know our tipping point is gonna be before?
• 35:09
SPEAKER_03: It's so hard because it's like energetically I can feel the collective tower moment we're going through.
• 35:16
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but you talk about collective consciousness and sort of world events a lot.
• 35:22
SPEAKER_00: And you are so you're very um on topic and in touch with it.
• 35:27
SPEAKER_03: I think there was a lot of purpose in the pandemic back in 2020.
• 35:31
SPEAKER_03: Um a lot of people went through their spiritual awakening around that time, including myself.
• 35:36
SPEAKER_03: Um, we are experiencing mass awakening.
• 35:39
SPEAKER_03: More and more people are seeing the truth of how this world is run.
• 35:44
SPEAKER_03: Um I can't pinpoint how it collapses, but I think we are gonna see capitalism, politics massively shifting.
• 35:57
SPEAKER_03: Um, we need a reform across most areas, healthcare, education.
• 36:04
SPEAKER_03: Um all I know is I see the tower card, I see this tree burning and crumbling and falling, and we're gonna have to sort of rebuild from the ashes.
• 36:14
SPEAKER_03: But it's so important during this time that we hold community and we try our best not to get sucked into the fear of it all.
• 36:26
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 36:26
SPEAKER_03: Um, to hold faith and to hold hope because that's the one thing I have a lot of right now is yes, the world's burning and everything's up in arms, but I'm really, really hopeful for a brighter, better future coming through for all of us where our basic human needs are met.
• 36:44
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 36:45
SPEAKER_03: That we get a better work-life balance and we actually come back to being more in line with how we're meant to be living as human beings.
• 36:55
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 36:56
SPEAKER_00: Um you and I we talk about this a lot about just living, not surviving.
• 37:03
SPEAKER_00: And I think when we say, you know, I think the word just being able to live has got confused with our um just surviving.
• 37:10
SPEAKER_00: You know, just to be able to get up in the morning and be at home and not have the the worry or the stress and just enjoy running your home, enjoy just sort of going out and doing the mund what people will call the mundane things.
• 37:29
SPEAKER_00: But just live just being able to live and just enjoy and live.
• 37:35
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, just slowing down and being present and just like you said, those mundane things actually They're really important.
• 37:42
  SPEAKER_03: They're really important.
• 37:43
SPEAKER_03: There's a lot of joy that can be had in just gardening and washing up your dishes with a good bit of music on.
• 37:50
SPEAKER_03: But those things feel so overwhelming and so they feel like a burden because we don't have the time for them.
• 37:57
SPEAKER_03: We don't have time to do our laundry and wash our dishes.
• 38:00
SPEAKER_03: That's often the one thing that kind of falls, isn't it?
• 38:03
SPEAKER_03: It's like people say, Oh, my house is an absolute tip because life has just been too busy and I haven't got round to it.
• 38:09
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 38:09
SPEAKER_03: We're constantly juggling, having to drop the ball on something.
• 38:13
  SPEAKER_03: You can't maintain everything.
• 38:16
  SPEAKER_00: No, you can't.
• 38:17
SPEAKER_00: It's like we're s we're spinning so many plates all the time.
• 38:22
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 38:23
SPEAKER_00: And it's it's how to just sort of stop those plates from smashing.
• 38:27
  SPEAKER_00: It's yeah, it's really tricky.
• 38:29
SPEAKER_00: But the social structure that we live in, it doesn't allow us to just live.
• 38:37
  SPEAKER_00: And that's what's really hard.
• 38:39
SPEAKER_00: And in order to just live, to live a simple life, you need to be earning a lot of money, which is just so crazy.
• 38:45
SPEAKER_00: To live a simple life, you have to be in that one top one percent.
• 38:51
SPEAKER_00: Which I just think is so backwards and so and just so wrong.
• 38:55
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 38:56
SPEAKER_03: Money is a big contributor in a lot of the problems we're seeing, isn't it?
• 39:01
  SPEAKER_03: Mm-hmm.
• 39:02
SPEAKER_03: Let's just go back to trading, eh?
• 39:03
SPEAKER_03: I'll swap my chickens for your corn.
• 39:07
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 39:09
SPEAKER_00: I can like, yeah, I'll repair some shirts or sew some shirts.
• 39:12
SPEAKER_00: We can just trade, yeah, trade that for some oil or some seeds.
• 39:18
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 39:19
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just go back to a bartering system where the yeah, the um the currency is just yeah, trade and skill.
• 39:28
  SPEAKER_00: That would be nice.
• 39:30
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 39:30
SPEAKER_00: That would be really, really nice.
• 39:32
SPEAKER_00: And not have to worry about petrol going up all the time.
• 39:35
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 39:36
SPEAKER_00: Which is not fun at the moment.
• 39:38
SPEAKER_03: No, I'm yeah, really noticing my fuel is not getting me as far as it used to.
• 39:42
SPEAKER_03: So I'm putting the same amount in like cost-wise, and now I'm like having to fill it up a lot more regularly.
• 39:48
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 39:49
SPEAKER_00: I'm really frugal with my fuel consumption, and I will fill up every three weeks.
• 39:55
SPEAKER_00: Well, fuel's gone up a lot in the last three weeks, so now I'm about to take a massive hit.
• 40:01
SPEAKER_00: And I'm looking at my like I'm on pet my petrol light is on and I'm like, I need to go get some fuel.
• 40:06
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, but it's gonna be so expensive.
• 40:09
SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't want to do it.
• 40:12
SPEAKER_00: And and I was talking to my mum about this yesterday.
• 40:14
SPEAKER_00: I was like, why are we paying the price?
• 40:16
SPEAKER_00: Why are we paying the price for this?
• 40:17
SPEAKER_00: And my mum was like, because they have to keep the profits turning over, they have to keep themselves in in in in the in the black, they have to keep themselves rich.
• 40:28
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, but I'm the one who's suffering here.
• 40:30
SPEAKER_00: I'm the one who's who's thinking, ah, petrol, you know, I haven't got the money.
• 40:37
SPEAKER_00: We haven't got the money to keep them supported.
• 40:38
  SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't know.
• 40:40
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we're all I think the thing that got me the other day is like, yeah, we're all sitting here like struggling even for things like fuel.
• 40:45
SPEAKER_03: And then what they've launched another missile up into space for the is it going to the moon?
• 40:51
SPEAKER_03: I didn't follow it too much on Trametrius or whatever it's called.
• 40:54
  SPEAKER_00: Leave her alone.
• 40:56
  SPEAKER_00: Leave the frilling moment.
• 40:59
  SPEAKER_03: Leave her alone.
• 41:00
SPEAKER_03: Society's struggling, and it's just like we have millions, billions of money, like pounds, dollars to just throw on stuff like that when there's people that can put food on the table.
• 41:13
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 41:13
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, people are dying.
• 41:15
SPEAKER_00: It's like that Kim Kardashian moment.
• 41:16
SPEAKER_00: Have you ever seen that viral Kim Kardashian moment?
• 41:19
SPEAKER_03: Yes, I know which one you're in about.
• 41:21
SPEAKER_00: She loses like her diamond earrings.
• 41:23
SPEAKER_00: I don't like Kardashians, I don't follow them, but that it has it circulates the internet every now and then, and she's like, I dropped my diamond earring in the water.
• 41:30
SPEAKER_00: And then someone comes up and goes, Kim, there are people literally dying in the world.
• 41:37
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, very, very true.
• 41:40
SPEAKER_00: But seriously, we don't need to keep sending shit up into space and just leave the moon alone and leave her alone.
• 41:48
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, let's focus on the planet we have got and the one we're slowly killing.
• 41:52
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because we haven't got any others.
• 41:53
SPEAKER_03: It's not even slowly anymore.
• 41:54
SPEAKER_03: We are quite rapidly killing the planet.
• 41:57
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 41:58
SPEAKER_00: But I have you know, I think that the planet will be okay.
• 42:04
SPEAKER_00: Oh, she'll really eventually just knock us off the table and go, do you know?
• 42:09
SPEAKER_00: I've had enough of your ship.
• 42:10
SPEAKER_03: And I think this is the thing, is like, yeah, Earth will always bounce back.
• 42:14
SPEAKER_03: She doesn't need us, she comes and has her own cycles where she goes through her own death and rebirth and dying.
• 42:20
SPEAKER_03: But yeah, what we're facing is the end of humanity if we're not careful.
• 42:26
  unknown: Yeah.
• 42:27
  SPEAKER_03: Earth will carry on.
• 42:28
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
• 42:30
SPEAKER_03: We have to live and survive here, and the planet's getting to a point where it's becoming inhabitable.
• 42:36
  SPEAKER_00: Uninhabitable.
• 42:37
  SPEAKER_03: Uninhabitable, thank you.
• 42:39
  SPEAKER_00: But it's like dyslexia.
• 42:40
SPEAKER_00: You know, like everything's um like all this the meningitis settlement coming around, and I'm like, illnesses come around.
• 42:46
  SPEAKER_00: It's nature.
• 42:49
  SPEAKER_00: It's nature.
• 42:50
SPEAKER_00: The f nature fights back, people get sick, illnesses come and go, diseases spread, you know, you can't stop it.
• 42:57
  SPEAKER_00: It's unfortunate.
• 42:58
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's really unfortunate, it's really sad.
• 43:01
  SPEAKER_00: Yes, it's scary.
• 43:03
SPEAKER_00: But if like you said, if we keep treating the planet and treating ourselves the way we are, something's gotta give and something's gonna try and fight back, you know, it's nature as well.
• 43:15
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 43:16
SPEAKER_03: And I think the frustrating thing is like there are solutions out there.
• 43:20
  SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah, absolutely.
• 43:21
SPEAKER_03: Again, it comes back to money, isn't it?
• 43:23
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, and and how much money they want to trickle from the top down.
• 43:30
SPEAKER_00: Nothing nothing really trickles from the top down.
• 43:32
SPEAKER_00: We're meant to be in this economy where, you know, it all trickles down from the top, but no, it it doesn't.
• 43:38
SPEAKER_00: They're just sat there at the top enjoying having that silver spoon and their lined pockets and we're down here sending shit up to them.
• 43:50
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, we can't afford to, you know, yeah, barely survive on.
• 43:55
SPEAKER_00: It's turning into a very political episode.
• 44:00
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, don't go political, Joanna, and here we are.
• 44:03
  SPEAKER_00: I think you can't help it.
• 44:05
SPEAKER_00: I think living in the world that we're in today and with the way things are and how it just affects the small people, you know.
• 44:14
SPEAKER_03: I think this is the thing, is like as a society, we've always been like, oh yeah, we don't discuss politics, but actually I think we're getting to a point that it's really important that we do.
• 44:22
SPEAKER_03: Um one of the things that's been sitting in my head is actually I want I would really love to organise a local meeting bringing people from different political preferences together to actually have healthy conversation and debate because I think once we start talking about it, we will realise that whether you're far left or far right, at the end of the day, we all are fighting for the same thing and it's to have a better life.
• 44:52
SPEAKER_03: Um, like you said, it's to come back to actually living and thriving, not surviving.
• 44:57
SPEAKER_03: We're all just arguing about what the root cause and blame is of that situation, but actually we're all fighting for the same thing, and I think all of us have a lot more in common than we realise.
• 45:12
SPEAKER_03: Um, and I think right now education, talking about it, getting accurate, truthful information out there is very, very important.
• 45:20
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, absolutely, absolutely.
• 45:24
SPEAKER_00: Um it'd be difficult to facilitate though, wouldn't it?
• 45:31
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
• 45:32
SPEAKER_03: It would take a lot of um mediating, yes, and getting people to hold their emotions gracefully.
• 45:42
SPEAKER_03: Um everyone's entitled to their opinion, it's just about how we communicate it.
• 45:46
SPEAKER_03: But isn't there also a beautiful lesson in that about actually, yeah, like everyone's entitled to their opinion.
• 45:54
SPEAKER_03: The world wouldn't run if we all believed the same stuff.
• 45:57
SPEAKER_03: But how can we hold each other in compassion and understanding and go, yep, you believe something different to me, but that is okay.
• 46:05
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 46:05
SPEAKER_03: And that doesn't mean that I now need to think negatively of you.
• 46:09
SPEAKER_03: Um actually just to meet you with curiosity and go, okay, tell me why you hold the beliefs you do.
• 46:15
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 46:17
SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say something and it's completely gone out of my head, so it'll probably just pop back in later and I'll just come back to it like um just because I've been getting so drawn into.
• 46:26
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, no, I remember.
• 46:27
  SPEAKER_00: Um Nostradamus.
• 46:30
  SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
• 46:30
  SPEAKER_00: Do you like Nostradamus?
• 46:32
SPEAKER_03: I've done a little bit of looking into Nostradamus.
• 46:34
SPEAKER_03: It's an interesting one because obviously he his work was written in like very riddles.
• 46:39
SPEAKER_03: Um so everything we take as predictions now is us trying to interpret his original language, but there is definitely some accuracy in the things that yeah, because I I was looking into some of his predictions during all of COVID and the pandemic.
• 46:56
SPEAKER_03: Um and yeah, they were pretty accurate.
• 47:00
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 47:01
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I have a I have his book.
• 47:04
SPEAKER_00: Well, I have a book of predictions, and it has the original one and then the interpretation, um, and it's going through all the years, and I haven't looked at it in a couple of years.
• 47:12
SPEAKER_00: I should probably go and have a look and see what's what's in store for 2027 and 2028.
• 47:18
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 47:19
SPEAKER_03: Because what are we coming into a year two and three?
• 47:24
SPEAKER_03: So that's coming back into balance and a corporation.
• 47:28
SPEAKER_03: So actually, we're gonna see more harmony and more community um balancing back out of these dualities.
• 47:37
  SPEAKER_03: Interesting.
• 47:38
SPEAKER_03: Which will be really nice because yeah, currently we're in a year one, so it's new beginnings, which is why we're gonna see a lot of upheaval to make space for that new stuff.
• 47:47
  SPEAKER_00: What does that mean?
• 47:48
SPEAKER_00: A year we're at a year one, so you want to yeah.
• 47:51
SPEAKER_03: So on a numerology level, we add up the numbers.
• 47:55
SPEAKER_03: So if we're in 2026, you would do two plus two plus six, which is ten.
• 48:00
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 48:01
SPEAKER_03: Um, and then zeros don't count, so it's only digits from one to nine.
• 48:06
  SPEAKER_02: Ah, okay.
• 48:06
SPEAKER_03: Um, or you get the occasional power number like eleven, twenty-two.
• 48:11
SPEAKER_03: Um, but twenty twenty-six gets broken down into a year one, because once you've added up all the numbers, ten then becomes one.
• 48:19
SPEAKER_00: Um and last year would have been a nine.
• 48:23
  SPEAKER_00: Ah, I see, I see.
• 48:25
  SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
• 48:26
SPEAKER_00: I'll have to have you back on for another episode to talk about numerology because I find it absolutely fascinating, and you've got so much knowledge on it, but it's gonna be a it would be a whole episode in itself.
• 48:39
SPEAKER_03: It's pretty much where I started because when I started my spiritual journey, it was I believed in something bigger, but I have always leaned on falsifiability, so I've needed science to kind of prove things.
• 48:54
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 48:55
SPEAKER_03: So I started off with string theory and quantum physics, which then led me to the image of Sheldon Cooper.
• 49:01
  SPEAKER_00: It's a string theory.
• 49:03
SPEAKER_00: I don't even know what that is.
• 49:04
SPEAKER_00: I just got Sheldon Cooper's like image in my mind, though.
• 49:07
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 49:08
SPEAKER_03: And then that also led me into the work of like Nickon Tesla and Mark Ryden, and that opened up this pathway of numerology, and I was like, Oh, this whole universe is coded like a computer.
• 49:21
SPEAKER_03: And once you understand numbers, you understand the language of the universe, which I think is a quote directly from Nikon Tesla.
• 49:30
SPEAKER_03: Um, because that was another thing all throughout my childhood.
• 49:33
SPEAKER_03: What was my favourite number?
• 49:34
  SPEAKER_03: 369 and that Who's drank wine?
• 49:40
SPEAKER_00: My favourite number's always been eight.
• 49:42
SPEAKER_00: Just because I think my birthday is on the eighth.
• 49:45
SPEAKER_00: But I feel like the eight is such a powerful number, and then on its side it's the infinity sign as well.
• 49:49
SPEAKER_00: So I really like the number eight.
• 49:51
SPEAKER_00: I always had quite an affinity with that number.
• 49:53
  SPEAKER_00: The like constant flow.
• 49:55
  SPEAKER_00: Constant flow, yeah.
• 49:57
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's always something about that.
• 49:59
SPEAKER_00: But I know that my in numerology, my number is eleven.
• 50:02
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 50:03
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 50:03
SPEAKER_03: So your life path number.
• 50:05
  SPEAKER_00: It's eleven.
• 50:05
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 50:06
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 50:06
SPEAKER_00: But I need to do well, I know that we're actually going to do a session soon, aren't we, on numerology.
• 50:12
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 50:12
SPEAKER_00: So that's something really interesting.
• 50:13
SPEAKER_00: Can we talk a little bit about Sister Circle?
• 50:16
  SPEAKER_00: Is that okay?
• 50:17
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 50:17
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 50:18
  SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
• 50:18
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 50:19
SPEAKER_00: So you and I attend, well, you facilitate, which I attend, um a closed sister circle every couple of weeks where we do have a different a different theme, we have a different subject every week, which is incredible.
• 50:35
SPEAKER_00: Um and I think I joined maybe in the autumn last year, or I want to say maybe autumn.
• 50:42
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 50:43
SPEAKER_00: And it's just been wonderful.
• 50:46
SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm so glad I found it.
• 50:48
SPEAKER_00: I I was introduced to it and just found this beautiful tribe of women.
• 50:54
SPEAKER_00: Um but yeah, how did Sister Circle start for you or what sort of inspired you to do it?
• 51:01
SPEAKER_03: I felt incredibly lonely, um, not having anyone to talk to about all my crazy conspiracy theories or my woo-woo rituals.
• 51:11
SPEAKER_03: Um I was looking for community, and at that time I didn't have many positive female relationships in my life, and that had kind of been a pattern throughout my life so far.
• 51:23
SPEAKER_03: So I had been to a circle out in Bud, and I it was too far for me to travel uh travel regularly.
• 51:30
SPEAKER_03: So I was like, Oh, I'd love to bring something like that to this corner of the world.
• 51:35
SPEAKER_03: Um, so me and Kathy at the time started it up, and it grew and it's evolved and gone through many different like cycles and eras over the three years as we've kind of like found our feet and what works and what things we're interested in.
• 51:51
SPEAKER_03: But yeah, it's been such a blessing.
• 51:54
SPEAKER_03: I've now got all these incredible women around me from such diverse backgrounds of all ages, and just coming together and having a little community to share those things with and have little rituals and really bringing back that sacred sister and bringing women together and empowering one another and just playing with craft and tapping into your inner child.
• 52:20
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it feels like a coffin.
• 52:23
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 52:23
SPEAKER_00: Oh, I absolutely love it.
• 52:25
  SPEAKER_00: I really, really do.
• 52:26
SPEAKER_00: Um, and and I love that we we learn something new from each other every couple of weeks.
• 52:32
SPEAKER_00: We all have we all have something to bring and something to learn, which I think is yeah, yeah, is so nice.
• 52:38
SPEAKER_03: And I think it's just the beautiful thing of like in the three years I've done it, seeing everybody grow and evolve and walk their individual journeys.
• 52:48
SPEAKER_03: Like every week I see people, they've got something new to like share with me that they've now integrated, or a lesson that they've been like, oh, I've learned this, or I set a boundary for myself this week, and we're like, Yes, so proud of you.
• 53:01
SPEAKER_03: And it's just watching people kind of go on their own journeys, but having the honour to support and witness them as they walk that is is amazing.
• 53:10
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, tarot is like is your tool of divination.
• 53:15
SPEAKER_00: Do you have any other oh, and you mentioned scrying as well.
• 53:19
SPEAKER_00: Do you have any other methods of divination that you like to use?
• 53:23
SPEAKER_03: So charm reading, there isn't that is it astrichartomancy, I think, is the technical term.
• 53:30
SPEAKER_03: So it's when people used to collect things like little bits of bone or like buttons, like the little trinkets.
• 53:35
SPEAKER_03: Um, that's been another one that I dabble in.
• 53:38
SPEAKER_03: Um, you sort of assign meaning to like each thing that you collect, um, and then you draw like a grid and you scatter your charms across it and depending on which section they land in.
• 53:49
SPEAKER_03: So, say you get a little love heart land in the home section, that would indicate okay, I've assigned the meaning of relationships and um support and love and compassion to the heart.
• 54:02
SPEAKER_03: So that means that in my home setting, I'm receiving a lot of that.
• 54:06
SPEAKER_03: I've got a loving relationship or loving family members.
• 54:10
SPEAKER_03: Um, so that's a really nice little one to play with.
• 54:14
SPEAKER_03: Um the other thing, I guess, in terms of deviation, like using pendulums, um dabbled a little bit with dowzing rods because I'm starting to kind of try and connect with the ghost realm.
• 54:29
SPEAKER_03: It's one that I've avoided a long time out of fear, but I'm trying to open myself up to it a bit more.
• 54:38
SPEAKER_03: Talk to me a little bit about that.
• 54:40
SPEAKER_03: So god, it's probably about a year ago now.
• 54:42
SPEAKER_03: We went out to Jamaica Inn.
• 54:45
SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, I just worked last last Saturday.
• 54:49
SPEAKER_00: I was working with the Jamaica Inn paranormal team.
• 54:51
SPEAKER_03: They're incredible over there, they've got a really good paranormal team.
• 54:55
SPEAKER_03: Um, we just went in and like took a few like bits with us and just sort of like had a play on our own.
• 55:00
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 55:00
SPEAKER_03: And there was like a moment we were sat down in the bar at like two o'clock in the morning and we saw this like shadow go like across the wall, like towards the bar, and then all the lights just went doom do and like shut down.
• 55:13
SPEAKER_03: And we all just like looked at each other, like shut up from our seats.
• 55:16
  SPEAKER_03: We're like, oh no, I think we're done.
• 55:18
SPEAKER_03: I think that that that was like our sign of being kicked out.
• 55:21
SPEAKER_03: It was like they wanted their bar back for tonight.
• 55:24
SPEAKER_03: Um but we connected into the little girl Hannah, and actually, that was the first time that like I don't get visual stuff come through, but I could feel the presence of this little girl with like her hair in plaits, and we went down to the museum the following day, and they were talking about this little girl, and a picture of her came up, and I was like, that's what I could feel.
• 55:45
SPEAKER_03: Um, so in that moment, it was just a real confirmation for me that actually there was more there that I've not tapped into, and I'm like, okay, if I can just allow myself to put the protections in place and trust that I am protected and safe, that I can start dabbling in this.
• 56:02
SPEAKER_03: I there are definitely ghosts um places that I would not touch with a barge pole.
• 56:08
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, um, some places have very dark, heavy energy that I'm like, I don't trust my own protections enough.
• 56:15
SPEAKER_03: Um but yeah, what what an interesting thing because like I've always been very open to the idea of ghosts, but they do terrify me.
• 56:26
SPEAKER_03: Um I think it's just I don't like the idea of things touching me or hearing things unexpectedly.
• 56:35
SPEAKER_03: Um but when I moved into the house that I'm in now, I connected into the old bloke that used to live here, and that was a really like beautiful moment.
• 56:41
SPEAKER_03: And I felt him come over and actually place his hand on top of my hand.
• 56:46
SPEAKER_03: Um because I've promised that I'd keep his he's he was a absolutely he loved his garden, and our house is now absolutely fested with roses, and that was like one thing that I promised him.
• 56:57
SPEAKER_03: I was like, we will maintain the front garden and like look after your roses and keep that going for you.
• 57:03
SPEAKER_03: And that's when I felt him come over and place his hand on mine.
• 57:06
SPEAKER_03: Um, because I just I knew that there was an energy in this house, and I just as we first moved in, I wanted to just reach out to it just to be like with all respect, like we're living here now.
• 57:17
  SPEAKER_03: I hope that's okay.
• 57:19
SPEAKER_03: Like, I want to respect that this used to be your like property, and like I still want to honour that, but like it was just checking in and being like, Am I okay to be here?
• 57:28
SPEAKER_03: Like because I could feel the presence and everything here footsteps come up the stairs and like the lights will flicker and stuff.
• 57:35
SPEAKER_03: Um, but he's just a very gentle, lovely old man.
• 57:40
SPEAKER_00: That's so interesting because before we started recording, I was saying how your house is pretty much the exact same as what my old house used to be like before I moved down to Cornwall.
• 57:50
SPEAKER_00: And I was we were in that house, you know, ten years, and we had a spirit of the old person, the old man who lived there, who died there before we moved in.
• 57:59
SPEAKER_00: Um wasn't as lovely and as warming and as nice as your story.
• 58:06
SPEAKER_00: My younger sister saw him a lot, I think, because she was still a child and she got scared.
• 58:12
SPEAKER_00: And then when I was on my own for the last year there, before we decided to uh, you know, um leave and move um and move down to Cornwall, the year that I was there on my own, I had some very interesting experiences.
• 58:26
SPEAKER_00: Um but the radio would often turn on and off by itself um at the time.
• 58:30
SPEAKER_00: That was when we were all there, um which was unsettling.
• 58:35
SPEAKER_00: Um but I remember um I remember creaking on the stairs.
• 58:41
SPEAKER_00: And you know people like, oh, it's the house settling, it's the wood, the wood will expand and contract because of the heating and the house and the seasons.
• 58:49
SPEAKER_00: And it's like, yeah, I get that, but there's a there's a huge distinction between hearing your house contract or expand due to heat or temper temperature changes compared to weight, like weight, if that makes sense, and pressure.
• 59:10
SPEAKER_00: And and I remember I don't I don't sleep very well as you know, I'm not a very good sleeper, but um I was um I was woken up in the middle of the night because I was absolutely convinced that I heard someone run up my stairs and I wouldn't I had a wooden staircase.
• 59:24
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 59:24
SPEAKER_00: And it was just a it was it was at the time when we were all sort of getting ready to just sort of completely make the move as a whole family down here.
• 59:33
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 59:34
SPEAKER_00: But it's just so interesting, like yeah these houses.
• 59:39
SPEAKER_00: I mean it can be any house really, but obviously the older that they are, and I think if someone's lived their whole life in them, some people can live in their houses for like fifty, sixty years, that's a lifetime of energy.
• 59:48
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 59:49
SPEAKER_00: And if you're having a family in that in that house as well, that's you know, three, four, five, six more lifetimes over all at once, isn't it?
• 59:58
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 59:59
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like yeah, buildings hold that energy, like you said, like yeah, if someone's been here their whole life, you're gonna feel those impressions of them still linger.
• 1:00:08
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 1:00:09
SPEAKER_00: But I'm glad that you had a really nice gentle experience.
• 1:00:13
SPEAKER_03: I think if you'd have been on not so I I don't think I'd still be living.
• 1:00:18
  SPEAKER_03: Fair enough.
• 1:00:22
  SPEAKER_00: Fair enough.
• 1:00:23
SPEAKER_00: We haven't had any other paranormal experiences.
• 1:00:27
SPEAKER_03: No, my mum's more in tune with ghosts than I am.
• 1:00:31
SPEAKER_03: It's not even throughout my like childhood, it's not I never saw things or felt the presence of anything.
• 1:00:38
SPEAKER_03: Um I think the only thing me and my when I was very little, we stayed at the carpenter's arms.
• 1:00:44
SPEAKER_03: It used to be in Calington, and we uh were convinced that we saw a dog go past our door because we were like staying in the upstairs like B.
• 1:00:54
SPEAKER_03: And we were like, was that a dog?
• 1:00:55
SPEAKER_03: And we've like followed it down the corridor.
• 1:00:57
SPEAKER_03: And as we got closer and closer to the kitchen, you could hear like as if a dog was like lapping its bowl of water.
• 1:01:02
  SPEAKER_03: Oh right.
• 1:01:03
SPEAKER_03: And then we got to the kitchen, you can see the bowl of water, no dog, and we were like, is there a dog here?
• 1:01:09
SPEAKER_03: And the owners were like, No.
• 1:01:11
SPEAKER_02: I was like, No, what?
• 1:01:13
SPEAKER_03: And like me and my brother just looked at each other like we'd both gone mad, and I was like, Well, we can't have both hallucinated the same thing.
• 1:01:20
SPEAKER_00: What's that called folia dough?
• 1:01:22
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but that's probably the only thing I had was just a dog that came through very randomly.
• 1:01:27
SPEAKER_00: There was a bowl of water on the floor.
• 1:01:28
SPEAKER_00: But there was a bowl of water.
• 1:01:30
  SPEAKER_00: How bizarre! Yeah.
• 1:01:31
SPEAKER_00: And they were like, Yeah, there's no dog.
• 1:01:33
SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, but there's a bowl of water.
• 1:01:35
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:01:36
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:01:37
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's really interesting.
• 1:01:39
SPEAKER_00: I would love to hear more ghost animal stories.
• 1:01:45
SPEAKER_00: I don't think you hear them enough, really.
• 1:01:46
  SPEAKER_00: No, you're right.
• 1:01:48
  SPEAKER_00: Ghost, yeah.
• 1:01:49
SPEAKER_03: I guess ghost animals, yeah, don't often come through very often unless people kind of tap into the psychic mediums, but they definitely must be around because like I'm pretty sure one of my old cats visits me every so often because I can feel a cat jump up on the bed and then I look down and actually there's no one there.
• 1:02:06
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 1:02:07
SPEAKER_03: So I think, yeah, every so often I do get visitors because like the cats I've got as well or two, they're like, they walk between rounds, don't they?
• 1:02:14
  SPEAKER_03: Absolutely.
• 1:02:14
SPEAKER_03: And they have their moments where they'll just like stare like really intensely, like a spot in the room.
• 1:02:19
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, what are you looking at?
• 1:02:21
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 1:02:21
SPEAKER_03: And like you know they've picked up on something, and you're like, oh, what is it?
• 1:02:25
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 1:02:27
SPEAKER_00: It's interesting, every time I have moved, so in the last couple of years, in the last few years, when I moved, I think I moved in 2020, end of 2022 or summer 2022, I moved.
• 1:02:42
SPEAKER_00: Um, and when I was the first few nights in in that new place, I was convinced that I I I dreamt and then felt that there was a cat on my bed.
• 1:02:53
SPEAKER_00: And then when I moved my where I am now, again, the first few nights, I had again, oh, there was there was a cat just on the end of my bed.
• 1:03:01
SPEAKER_00: Like, so I don't know if it's it's some sort of spirit animal or spirit guardian.
• 1:03:05
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but the last couple of years when I've been moving for the first few nights, I've always experienced and because I've been in that late that liminal space of sleep and awake, I've not been bothered and been like, oh, it's fine, it's just cats cats on the under bed.
• 1:03:17
SPEAKER_00: Cats just asleep on the under bed, it's fine.
• 1:03:18
SPEAKER_00: Like, because I'm just so sleepy.
• 1:03:20
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, can't explain it.
• 1:03:22
SPEAKER_03: It's interesting that you said spiritual guardian, because that it gave me a little tingling, because they do say that like that's why cats will sleep by your feet on your bed, is like they are there to almost protect you spiritually while you sleep, because when you sleep, you're in between realms and you're out of your body.
• 1:03:37
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 1:03:37
SPEAKER_03: So actually you're quite spiritually vulnerable.
• 1:03:40
SPEAKER_03: So they say that that's why cats sleep with us, is to offer us that protection.
• 1:03:43
  SPEAKER_00: That's interesting.
• 1:03:44
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:03:45
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:03:45
SPEAKER_00: And it's only when I've yeah, moved.
• 1:03:48
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's just a couple for a couple of nights and then it's sort of disappeared.
• 1:03:52
SPEAKER_00: Doing nice like transition points.
• 1:03:55
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, really interesting.
• 1:03:56
SPEAKER_00: So um if I move again, oh yeah.
• 1:04:00
SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it comes out.
• 1:04:01
  SPEAKER_00: I will, yeah.
• 1:04:04
  SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
• 1:04:06
SPEAKER_00: Um, so with your with your business, the alchemy which I always like to try and get um, especially women on my podcast, to do some promo talk about what it is that they do, how people can get in touch with you and just put you out there a little bit more because I think um it can be really hard for us to do that.
• 1:04:30
SPEAKER_00: So, um, and to just sort of say, Hey, this is me, and I'm actually really good at this stuff, and come and come and work with me and see what I do and help me earn a living.
• 1:04:40
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, you're right.
• 1:04:41
SPEAKER_03: It is it's hard, it feels uncomfortable to pick yourself up and to sell yourself.
• 1:04:46
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:04:46
SPEAKER_00: So I'm trying to sort of like do this thing where I'm encouraging women to pick themselves up and sell and sell yourself, you know what I mean.
• 1:04:55
SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, just promote, just promote the incredible work that you that you do.
• 1:05:00
SPEAKER_00: Um and yeah, get yourself out there.
• 1:05:03
SPEAKER_03: So uh so yeah, you can find me on Facebook and Instagram.
• 1:05:08
SPEAKER_03: I am the Alchemy Witch.
• 1:05:09
SPEAKER_03: Um, I think my handle is jen.alchemywitch.
• 1:05:13
SPEAKER_03: Um I'm offering tarot readings and crystal energy healing with life coach kind of blended up throughout it.
• 1:05:20
SPEAKER_03: Um my passion is just teaching people and empowering people, and I want you to leave my space feeling like you're in control of your own life and that you have a strong direction with how to move forward and you feel safe and confident to employ the skills that you need to to move forward.
• 1:05:45
SPEAKER_03: Um, I like to say that my way of reading tarot is a little bit different in terms of the fact that I have always avoided guide books um because I think.
• 1:06:00
SPEAKER_03: The beauty of tarot is the storytelling and the in-the-moment sort of interpretation of the images.
• 1:06:06
SPEAKER_03: So I could use the same deck and do a reading for you and a reading for someone else.
• 1:06:10
SPEAKER_03: Um, same cards could come up, but I would take different interpretations from them because while I'm sat with you, I might be more drawn to the sun and the moon and the stars that are depicted on the cards.
• 1:06:22
SPEAKER_03: With someone else, I might be more drawn to the queen that's sitting on a throne and the um rose that she's got in her hand.
• 1:06:31
SPEAKER_03: It in the moment is just following my intuition and seeing which bits are pulling me in more, but also inviting you into that conversation so it's not just me talking at you.
• 1:06:42
SPEAKER_03: Um to really, yeah, you are the expert in your own life.
• 1:06:48
SPEAKER_03: Um I am here just to kind of facilitate that and help you come back into connection with your own magic, yeah.
• 1:06:57
SPEAKER_03: Your own insight, your own inner knowledge.
• 1:07:00
SPEAKER_00: And can people work with you face to face and online?
• 1:07:04
SPEAKER_03: I yeah, I am open to I haven't done any online stuff yet, um, but I am open to doing like tarot readings and stuff online.
• 1:07:11
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 1:07:11
SPEAKER_03: Um, I know some people do the energy healing remote, like distance healing.
• 1:07:16
SPEAKER_03: I my preference is to see people in person for the Crystal Energy Healing, just so I can get a real feel.
• 1:07:24
SPEAKER_03: Um I'm not so good at reading energy through a screen.
• 1:07:28
  SPEAKER_03: It's harder, isn't it?
• 1:07:29
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's a lot harder to connect in with people.
• 1:07:32
SPEAKER_03: So I think just for me to be able to deliver my best work and to be able to connect in with you the best face to face is preference.
• 1:07:40
SPEAKER_03: Um, but if people are struggling with getting out to me or accessibility issues, then please reach out because there's always a potential of I'm happy to try things online.
• 1:07:51
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
• 1:07:52
SPEAKER_03: Um, but yeah, I guess God, it is hard big in your sound.
• 1:07:56
SPEAKER_03: Do you have a website?
• 1:07:57
  SPEAKER_03: Uh don't have a website yet.
• 1:07:59
SPEAKER_00: That's thinking I'm working on email that people can contact you on.
• 1:08:03
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 1:08:04
SPEAKER_03: So again, uh my email is gen.alchemywitch at gmail.com.
• 1:08:09
SPEAKER_03: Um, yeah, just get in contact, come have a chat with me because I brand myself as energy healing and tarot.
• 1:08:16
SPEAKER_03: But actually, if you just want to come in and have a play with anything witchy, like come and make a wish jar or let's make a crystal grid, let's talk about some rituals you could go home and bring into your daily like routine.
• 1:08:31
SPEAKER_03: If you are just interested in witchcraft and walking this sort of path, just yeah, come in, have a conversation with me and let's see what we can design and come up with to support you on that journey.
• 1:08:43
  SPEAKER_00: Lovely, that's amazing.
• 1:08:45
SPEAKER_00: Let me quickly talk to you about crystal healing.
• 1:08:47
SPEAKER_00: Um, because I have so many crystals.
• 1:08:51
  SPEAKER_00: I am like a crystal junkie.
• 1:08:52
  SPEAKER_00: I'm a I'm a diction of the fluff for crystals.
• 1:08:55
SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm like, there goes my dinner for next week.
• 1:08:59
  SPEAKER_00: Buying a crystal.
• 1:09:01
  SPEAKER_03: Like terrible.
• 1:09:03
SPEAKER_03: That's that like meme of like someone in a crystal shop, and it's like, you've got enough crystals.
• 1:09:07
  SPEAKER_03: It's like, but I haven't got this one.
• 1:09:10
SPEAKER_00: I've seen videos online where like someone's crying, it's like didn't have enough, don't have enough money to like buy myself food, and they're putting their crystals in between two slices of rag that's like gonna have to like eat this for dinner.
• 1:09:24
SPEAKER_00: Oh um, how do you with crystals?
• 1:09:27
SPEAKER_00: Because like I say, I have so many crystals, and yeah, it is a deck different.
• 1:09:30
SPEAKER_00: I've been collecting them since I was tiny.
• 1:09:33
SPEAKER_00: Um, and but my knowledge is not as good as I think it should be.
• 1:09:38
SPEAKER_00: So I have I have amethyst, I know amethyst relates to my astrology sign, and I've always been really drawn to amethyst, and it and I use it for protection as well.
• 1:09:49
SPEAKER_00: Um and then I have clear quartz, which is an amplifier.
• 1:09:54
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then I have rose quartz, which I have never bought myself.
• 1:09:57
SPEAKER_00: People just need to buy that for me, and I feel like it's because I'm single, they're just like, oh here, have some rose quartz.
• 1:10:02
SPEAKER_00: I'm like but yeah, rose quartz, which is I know is actually more for self-love and compassion rather than bringing romance into your life.
• 1:10:10
SPEAKER_00: And then I have um ah, what I thought was selenite until I watched your video the other day, which is now that'll be satin spa, yeah.
• 1:10:21
SPEAKER_00: I have satin spa, yeah, which um and and I have black obsidian, which I use for protection, and black taurmaline, which I have for protection.
• 1:10:29
SPEAKER_00: Um, and then I have citrine.
• 1:10:34
SPEAKER_00: But I I only really use citrine as sort of a citrine and carnelian, I see them more as I just link them with the sun.
• 1:10:43
SPEAKER_00: So if like if it's uh midsummer, for example, I will have them on my altar because I associate them with the sun and warmth and that sort of thing.
• 1:10:53
  SPEAKER_00: Um and that's it.
• 1:10:56
SPEAKER_00: I have lots of other crystals, but I couldn't really tell you like Red Jasper and um I've got fluorite, and I couldn't really tell you what the rest what the rest of them do.
• 1:11:07
SPEAKER_00: So I only really have like a very limited amount of knowledge, but I love crystals.
• 1:11:12
  SPEAKER_00: Like, so yeah.
• 1:11:13
SPEAKER_03: You've got a pretty good knowledge of the ones like you, yeah, you're on it, you've got the form.
• 1:11:18
SPEAKER_03: And I think this is it with crystals.
• 1:11:20
SPEAKER_03: It's like you can read all the guidebooks, and like there is a sort of general theme of I think the easiest place to start is with colour theory.
• 1:11:28
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 1:11:29
SPEAKER_03: So red crystals being your root chakra, which is your place of safety, stability, it's where we anchor and connect to the earth.
• 1:11:37
SPEAKER_03: It's connecting to the physical body.
• 1:11:40
SPEAKER_03: So red jasper would be really good for like any physical problems supporting like the immune system, circulation, but it would also be really good for that protection and grounding.
• 1:11:49
SPEAKER_00: Okay, or it's got red tiger's eye as well.
• 1:11:51
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:11:52
SPEAKER_03: Um, so colour theory is probably the easiest place to start and relating them into your chakras and understanding that system.
• 1:11:59
SPEAKER_03: Um, but really it's just about how do you feel when you hold that crystal.
• 1:12:05
SPEAKER_03: Um, because for some people they would hold carnalion and it would make them feel very calm and grounded, whereas other people would hold it and feel more of the like vibrancy and the energy, and they'd feel more uplifted from it.
• 1:12:18
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 1:12:19
SPEAKER_03: So we all have our own different energetic systems.
• 1:12:22
SPEAKER_03: The crystals are gonna interplay and work differently for all of us, and I think it's just really trusting, yeah, your own inner guidance.
• 1:12:29
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:12:30
SPEAKER_00: How are with crystal grids?
• 1:12:32
SPEAKER_00: What do you use them for?
• 1:12:34
SPEAKER_00: And how do you learn how to build them?
• 1:12:36
SPEAKER_00: What's their sort of purpose with a crystal grid?
• 1:12:38
SPEAKER_03: So, with a crystal grid, you have three kind of main layers.
• 1:12:42
SPEAKER_03: So you have your like focus stones in the middle, so that will be like the ones that are really setting your intention.
• 1:12:48
SPEAKER_03: Um, and then you have like the center stones and then the outer stones.
• 1:12:54
SPEAKER_03: Um, center stones are kind of like they're there to amplify and kind of extend out your intentions.
• 1:13:01
SPEAKER_03: So in the centre, I might say we're really honing in on self-love.
• 1:13:05
SPEAKER_03: So my central stones would be things like um rose quartz or um rondonite, those pinky green things to really anchor in on that heart chakra.
• 1:13:15
SPEAKER_03: Then the stones coming out from that in the next two layers, it's about going, okay, what when we talk about self-love, what are we really honing in on?
• 1:13:24
SPEAKER_03: Is it the forgiveness side of it?
• 1:13:25
SPEAKER_03: Is it um allowing yourself and actually giving yourself permission to feel joy?
• 1:13:30
SPEAKER_03: So if we were honing in on, okay, I want to invite more joy into my life, then we'd lean more into the yellows and the orange stones like carnelian or citrine.
• 1:13:38
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
• 1:13:38
SPEAKER_03: Whereas if you're working more on like, okay, there's a lot of stuff in my past that I'm trying to work through and forgive and let go of, then we'd lean more into our like black stones like tourmaline or things like nephrite jades, which are really good for healing those um emotional wounds and past experiences.
• 1:13:58
SPEAKER_03: So it's just really sitting in and going, what's the overall intention?
• 1:14:02
SPEAKER_03: And then let's get more specific as we kind of build the crystal grid upwards.
• 1:14:07
SPEAKER_00: With the colour theory, what about the crystals that are then liminal or in between colours?
• 1:14:13
SPEAKER_00: Like I can never say the name Labradorite.
• 1:14:16
  SPEAKER_03: Labradorite, yeah.
• 1:14:17
SPEAKER_00: I can never say the name, probably.
• 1:14:19
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's a beautiful one because it's got that flash, and you can get it in more like the uh purple and pink hues, or then you've got more of like the bluey green.
• 1:14:27
SPEAKER_03: Um so either way, when we think about the range as sort of blue, green, pink, or purple, so you're looking sort of from your throat shackle all the way up to your crown.
• 1:14:37
SPEAKER_03: Um labradite's good for all of those.
• 1:14:40
SPEAKER_03: Um it's really, really good for like opening up that third eye, connecting to your intuition, spiritual development, but also really good for communication and like allowing us to speak with confidence and to speak authentically.
• 1:14:55
SPEAKER_03: Um those with more of a bluey-green hue would be more on the throat chakra, leaning into like the heart and the authenticity, whereas those with more of a purpley pink aura would be better for the psychic development, the spiritual work, really opening up those upper chakras.
• 1:15:12
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:15:13
  SPEAKER_00: I see.
• 1:15:13
  SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
• 1:15:15
SPEAKER_00: Jenna, thank you so much for my lovely.
• 1:15:20
SPEAKER_00: It has been so good.
• 1:15:21
SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna have to get you back on for a numerology episode.
• 1:15:24
SPEAKER_00: Sounds good so we can deep dive into that because that's fascinating.
• 1:15:27
SPEAKER_00: Um, but I'm just so so grateful that you've let me into your beautiful witchy, witchy office, witchy room, and your lovely witchy home.
• 1:15:35
SPEAKER_00: And yeah, thank you for coming on the show today.
• 1:15:38
SPEAKER_03: Thank you for inviting me on.
• 1:15:39
