- 3:17Speaker 4: is getting a new hog yeah, old Moggi is getting
- 3:21Speaker 4: a new hog. But perhaps most excitedly, we've got old
- 3:24Speaker 4: pugs on. He was away on Friday. He went over
- 3:27Speaker 4: to Australia straight out the back of a huge radio awards.
- 3:31Speaker 4: I don't know if you guys know what he got
- 3:33Speaker 4: up to, but we'll be talking about that a little bit.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Just looking at him here, he looks a little bit Volneyes.
- 3:38Speaker 5: He does look a bit Voldies.
- 3:39Speaker 3: But most importantly was the outfit that he wore for
- 3:42Speaker 3: radio awards.
- 3:43Speaker 5: Oh my god, and the response from the audience.
- 3:45Speaker 4: You know, we'll get into it, we'll get into it,
- 3:48Speaker 4: but it was it was a We put a photo
- 3:50Speaker 4: up of all four of us at the Radio Awards
- 3:53Speaker 4: and it absolutely went all.
- 3:56Speaker 2: It really did. It was a bold statement, say that much.
- 4:01Speaker 3: If you'd like to see it, go to the Radio
- 4:02Speaker 3: Hudarchy Facebook or the Hdarkey Big Shows Instagram.
- 4:05Speaker 5: Have a geeze there. We'll get into that next.
- 4:07Speaker 2: In the meantime, here's pil Jam for.
- 4:10Speaker 1: The Hdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hdarchy.
- 4:14Speaker 2: You indeed face no more there on the Radio Hodarchy
- 4:17Speaker 2: Big Show this Monday afternoon. The time is thirteen minutes
- 4:21Speaker 2: past four o'clock and we've got old Pug sign in
- 4:23Speaker 2: the studio with us O. Pugs.
- 4:28Speaker 7: Hey, fellas, how are you?
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yeah? Good? Thanks Pugs. Now you'll be aware to our
- 4:34Speaker 2: regular listeners that we went to the Radio Awards last
- 4:36Speaker 2: Thursday and on Pugs and he went along with us
- 4:38Speaker 2: as we you know, we went as a whole team. Yeah,
- 4:41Speaker 2: but we didn't we didn't get to chat to him
- 4:43Speaker 2: on the Friday because he bugged off to Australia for
- 4:45Speaker 2: a mate's wedding or something.
- 4:46Speaker 6: That's exactly what it was.
- 4:48Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Now, as part of this, the Radio Awards is traditionally
- 4:52Speaker 3: a semi formal affair, so everyone puts their glad rags
- 4:55Speaker 3: on their suits, et cetera. Girls will wear nice faces
- 4:58Speaker 3: and the fellers chuck on their nice bl and stuff. Pugs,
- 5:01Speaker 3: could you just talk us through your outfit?
- 5:03Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 5:04Speaker 5: Sure, please?
- 5:07Speaker 6: Yes.
- 5:07Speaker 9: So I had a new pair of shoes that I
- 5:09Speaker 9: got made in Vietnam.
- 5:11Speaker 7: There was sort of like paraboot style shoes.
- 5:12Speaker 9: I was really stoked with those some widely black pants
- 5:16Speaker 9: that I also got made in Vietnam, which.
- 5:18Speaker 7: I was really stoked with, please continue. And then on
- 5:25Speaker 7: the top half, I had like sort of It was almost.
- 5:28Speaker 9: Like a ambulance driver jacket, like a paramedic jacket.
- 5:33Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:35Speaker 4: I wouldn't have if you turned out like I've broken
- 5:39Speaker 4: my leg and then new rolled in Saint John's ambulance,
- 5:42Speaker 4: So that would have that would have made sense to me.
- 5:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 2: My first instinct on the jacket was World War two
- 5:49Speaker 2: flyer pilot, right, So what.
- 5:52Speaker 9: Sort of military ish? I guess Navy style. Maybe it
- 5:55Speaker 9: was a color Navy because when we're.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Working earlier on in the day, you weren't wearing any
- 6:00Speaker 4: hid weir and I was thinking to myself, Jesus, if
- 6:02Speaker 4: he was wearing.
- 6:04Speaker 6: That, he could be anything.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Yeah, but the head where you eventually went worth it,
- 6:09Speaker 4: it shocked me to my core.
- 6:11Speaker 9: I also had a white collared shirt on long sleeve,
- 6:14Speaker 9: just like most of your fellas probably had, and a
- 6:16Speaker 9: tie which many people are red red.
- 6:19Speaker 2: No, it wasn't random, just a red that well, I
- 6:23Speaker 2: just didn't really go with the outfit for me for.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Me now because it was a red tie, navy blue
- 6:28Speaker 3: jacket done up white shirt underneath grey smart Thanks Chris, Well,
- 6:32Speaker 3: what do you have on your head?
- 6:33Speaker 7: A beret?
- 6:36Speaker 6: See? I love it. Man with a sense of human,
- 6:41Speaker 6: so do I.
- 6:42Speaker 5: The funny thing about the beret.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Is I reckon five people came up to me and
- 6:49Speaker 3: said should we smack him over? Well almost they literally
- 6:52Speaker 3: came up to me, were just like, we'll good with
- 6:55Speaker 3: the beret. I'm not lying, you are seriously about five
- 6:58Speaker 3: people came up and we know, yeah, people that you
- 7:01Speaker 3: loved very closely.
- 7:03Speaker 5: And I was like, of course we own Pugs.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Can I ask the question when you were putting together
- 7:11Speaker 2: this someb.
- 7:15Speaker 5: What was the inspiration?
- 7:18Speaker 2: Inspiration? What when when you put it on? What did
- 7:21Speaker 2: you want people to think? You know, hey, there's Pugs,
- 7:24Speaker 2: he's looking like a moron.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Oh well, mission accomplished. Then yeah, feel free to bring
- 7:30Speaker 3: the plane back in for landing.
- 7:33Speaker 4: And then of course we put a photo app on
- 7:35Speaker 4: the Instagram there and we're inundated with comments, some.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Of the funniest comments I've written a long time.
- 7:40Speaker 6: Yeah, we'll probably come back. I think we'll just share
- 7:43Speaker 6: a cable.
- 7:44Speaker 5: Yeah we'll read those next Pugs.
- 7:46Speaker 6: Sure.
- 7:47Speaker 5: Yeah. Did you feel good though when you went home
- 7:49Speaker 5: after the night?
- 7:51Speaker 7: What did I feel good like?
- 7:53Speaker 5: Did you feel like the outfit had landed with everyone?
- 7:55Speaker 2: No?
- 7:56Speaker 5: But I had I had fun in it for sure, Yeah, okay, cool.
- 8:00Speaker 5: We'll read the comments next because they were brilliant. What's
- 8:04Speaker 5: this song?
- 8:04Speaker 6: Dase?
- 8:05Speaker 2: I thought you looked amazing man.
- 8:10Speaker 1: The hold Archy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy
- 8:13Speaker 1: tune in week days at four on Radio Hodarky Lincoln Park.
- 8:17Speaker 2: There on the Radio Holdarchy Big Show this Monday afternoon,
- 8:21Speaker 2: the time time twenty five minutes past four o'clock. We're
- 8:24Speaker 2: talking about the outfits that we wore on the Big
- 8:28Speaker 2: night last week Radio Awards Thursday night, and one particular
- 8:32Speaker 2: outfit that caught the nation's attention.
- 8:34Speaker 5: Yeah, that outfit was worn by Pugs.
- 8:37Speaker 6: Arn't. Oh it's Pugs.
- 8:41Speaker 7: Yet a fellas, thanks for having me back.
- 8:43Speaker 6: Yeah, it's good.
- 8:44Speaker 3: If you want to see the photo of the four
- 8:46Speaker 3: of us, by the way, I believe it is it
- 8:47Speaker 3: up on the Radio Hodarky Facebook.
- 8:49Speaker 5: It's yeah, I think it's up on all of.
- 8:50Speaker 3: It and Hdarky Big Show's Instagram page there if you
- 8:52Speaker 3: like to ste a photo of all of us in
- 8:53Speaker 3: our suits.
- 8:55Speaker 5: Pugs is wearing a beret. Okay, that's I guess that's.
- 8:58Speaker 4: The showstopping part, isn't it. There's a brain move, but
- 9:00Speaker 4: there's Hugh peg son, you don't the beat of your
- 9:03Speaker 4: own drum, and I've got nothing but respect for you.
- 9:05Speaker 4: It does make you what double take? Recoil? No, not recoil.
- 9:11Speaker 4: It was just so it surprises you. You never seems
- 9:13Speaker 4: to surprise me, the pog Son.
- 9:14Speaker 2: When I first saw you, I was like, the first
- 9:16Speaker 2: thought I had was what's going on here?
- 9:20Speaker 5: Yeah? Which is what you were going for, right, Pugs?
- 9:23Speaker 5: When you put the beret on, No, I will say,
- 9:26Speaker 5: and this is genuine.
- 9:28Speaker 9: When I was in Vietnam, we were in the Harjong
- 9:30Speaker 9: mountains and there were these dudes that will walk around
- 9:32Speaker 9: exactly and they had the exact style fit that I
- 9:36Speaker 9: had on, and I took it from them.
- 9:38Speaker 7: Oh, they didn't have a tie, but I wanted to
- 9:39Speaker 7: make it.
- 9:40Speaker 2: You know.
- 9:41Speaker 7: It was it was a formal night, so I was like,
- 9:42Speaker 7: I put a tie on under it.
- 9:44Speaker 2: It was kind of a hybrid sort of military, colonial, colonial, corporate.
- 9:52Speaker 3: The audience summed up exactly what the look was in
- 9:55Speaker 3: the comment section.
- 9:56Speaker 5: We're going to read some of those for you now, Pugs.
- 9:57Speaker 9: All right, can I just say this, And I said
- 10:00Speaker 9: to you Jas, when I had as you said in
- 10:02Speaker 9: the last break, I didn't have the hat on during
- 10:04Speaker 9: the day when we all were here, and as soon
- 10:06Speaker 9: as I went to the bathroom and I put it on,
- 10:09Speaker 9: I thought, I'm going to get effing mode for this.
- 10:12Speaker 3: And he did it anyway, So have changed changed?
- 10:17Speaker 5: Yeah, let's let's start going through some of the comments there.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Man, This comment from Tony Lyle, there's pug is about
- 10:26Speaker 3: to protect the British.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Channel and a biplane in World War one. Question mark.
- 10:30Speaker 6: It's sort of a Bigel's reference, there, isn't it really?
- 10:33Speaker 3: This one from Simon, I will pay anything for the
- 10:36Speaker 3: painting Pugs is about to paint.
- 10:38Speaker 2: There was there was that element of it. I could
- 10:44Speaker 2: have seen you with your little paintboard there and doing
- 10:46Speaker 2: a land a French landscape.
- 10:49Speaker 5: Thanks.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Jesse Andrew says, I love what call me Pugs is
- 10:52Speaker 3: wearing very powerful statement.
- 10:54Speaker 7: I don't know what the statement that he thought I
- 10:57Speaker 7: was making more.
- 10:58Speaker 6: Doesn't Matter's a compliment? You take it? Sure, I tell you.
- 11:01Speaker 6: There's not a lot.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Olie says, wishing Pugs all the best for his new
- 11:07Speaker 3: job with the French Resistance during World War two.
- 11:10Speaker 5: Brother, so some.
- 11:11Speaker 7: Support that that made sense to me and that's really nice.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Yet, Yes, this comment here, which I don't get but
- 11:16Speaker 3: you guys do. I think Pugs looks like Schultz of
- 11:20Speaker 3: Hogan's Heroes.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Sergeant Shultz of Hogan's Heroes, the and there is a
- 11:25Speaker 4: striking resemblance.
- 11:27Speaker 6: This is his catchphrase, Oh nothing, I was not here.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I did not even.
- 11:35Speaker 9: So that's and and if anybody needs a visual reference,
- 11:38Speaker 9: he's just a fat guy.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Start right hang on his catch phrase, which I don't
- 11:50Speaker 2: think actually played there was.
- 11:55Speaker 6: That's right right, that was exactly right.
- 11:57Speaker 7: Comment did a gift for that, didn't you people.
- 12:00Speaker 6: Could know what the what the reference was.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Yeah, someone commented, paint me like one of your French girls,
- 12:06Speaker 3: pug sn it's two for the painter. I'll take that
- 12:08Speaker 3: as Pugs off to the navy or something. Ahoy, pug Usan,
- 12:13Speaker 3: says Marco. How about this one from Lachlan? Okay, but
- 12:17Speaker 3: pug Soun has that ship on. Yeah, yeah, it feels good.
- 12:23Speaker 3: What about this one here from Scott? Check out the
- 12:25Speaker 3: angle on Keesy's pest ears.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Which was an interesting point because I think somebody else
- 12:32Speaker 4: is kezy. You can't lean your head to your to
- 12:34Speaker 4: the side when your ears are on the pest right there.
- 12:37Speaker 6: I was like, oh my god, it does geez Old.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Kesey's wonky ear is really making his head tilled. And
- 12:43Speaker 3: then Mike said, can't miss those steamed ears anymore, keesy.
- 12:46Speaker 3: So it turned from Pugs into me for a bit.
- 12:48Speaker 3: The Red Snapper says Kim John pug Un. Yeah, Joe
- 12:53Speaker 3: knows how to put that ship onto you, fair.
- 12:56Speaker 5: Pugs looks like he is a World War two code breaker.
- 12:59Speaker 5: Code break.
- 13:00Speaker 2: That's also a very good call too.
- 13:02Speaker 5: It's complimentary. Yes, yes, this one here is good too.
- 13:06Speaker 5: From Andy.
- 13:07Speaker 3: I love how pug Son looks like some war veteran,
- 13:10Speaker 3: but he obviously has a huge dog roll in them pants, which,
- 13:16Speaker 3: of course, if people forget Pugs is packing heat done right,
- 13:21Speaker 3: don't What was that.
- 13:22Speaker 5: Two years ago? That's what I when I first started.
- 13:25Speaker 2: I mean that's what I thought when I saw the pants.
- 13:27Speaker 2: I said, well, given how you're built, you're kind.
- 13:29Speaker 5: Of have your hand out of the leg, and that's
- 13:32Speaker 5: why you wear the beret because you can back it
- 13:33Speaker 5: take out with you to take away. Do you think
- 13:37Speaker 5: you're wear it again?
- 13:38Speaker 6: Man?
- 13:39Speaker 5: What the beret?
- 13:39Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 13:40Speaker 7: Chucked it in the bim.
- 13:43Speaker 1: The Hiarchy Big show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy tune
- 13:46Speaker 1: in on.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Radio he indeed sound garden there on the radio Darchy
- 13:52Speaker 2: Big Show this Monday afternoon. The time is twenty minutes
- 13:54Speaker 2: to five o'clock. Let's have some sport chat well, feelers,
- 14:10Speaker 2: I guess we set off with the cricket at Lord's.
- 14:13Speaker 2: I was fizzing about this. I was very, very excited.
- 14:17Speaker 2: What a great way to sort of spend your weekend too,
- 14:20Speaker 2: you know, I was doing other things. But get up
- 14:22Speaker 2: in the morning after. You know they played the night before,
- 14:25Speaker 2: put the replay on, just have it playing in the background.
- 14:28Speaker 6: Love it.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Unfortunately, the pitch at Lord's was an absolute shitter. Nonetheless,
- 14:36Speaker 2: it was the same for both sides. We were the
- 14:38Speaker 2: architects of our own demise. Too many drop catchers, crucial
- 14:43Speaker 2: drop catchers in a low scoring match that cost us
- 14:47Speaker 2: quite a number of runs. Disappointing, fair to say, disappointing.
- 14:53Speaker 2: A bit of weather interruption, a bit of bad luck
- 14:55Speaker 2: with umpires, calls, etcetera, etcetera. But we lost play one
- 14:59Speaker 2: hundred fifteen runs at the end of the day and
- 15:01Speaker 2: I think the team themselves will go fellas.
- 15:05Speaker 4: That was our bad Yeah, that was one of those
- 15:07Speaker 4: ones that we generally have a habit of winning. Actually
- 15:10Speaker 4: those low scoring shitters. That was how we won the
- 15:12Speaker 4: World Teest Championship. Yes, and exactly the same manner. But yeah,
- 15:16Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, you're right in terms of the drop
- 15:20Speaker 4: catches and all that sort of stuff. Absolutely, but I
- 15:22Speaker 4: mean that's not a it's not up to international standard
- 15:25Speaker 4: that pitch. It was an absolute disgrace, it was.
- 15:27Speaker 2: It was a shocker, absolute shocker, and I've got to
- 15:29Speaker 2: say I really felt for ratching Revendra. He was having
- 15:33Speaker 2: an appalling match. He dropped one in the first innings,
- 15:36Speaker 2: got out first, balled up, then dropped an absolute setter
- 15:40Speaker 2: in the second innings and you could just see on
- 15:42Speaker 2: his face he was like, I want to play this
- 15:43Speaker 2: game anymore. I'm done. Got a scratchy hate in the
- 15:46Speaker 2: second innings. Onwards and upwards though hopefully they take the lessons. Also,
- 15:50Speaker 2: it didn't help us at Matt Henry wasn't at full
- 15:53Speaker 2: he had an injury so he was back. Yeah, he
- 15:56Speaker 2: was a stripe bowler for that perfect conditions, fast right,
- 15:59Speaker 2: and Duffy's out as well, who's out the last year,
- 16:01Speaker 2: So yeah.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Hopefully plenty of improving to be done. I'm not sure
- 16:04Speaker 4: when the next tear startup might be maybe Friday, but
- 16:07Speaker 4: will keep you updated on that because we've got no idea.
- 16:09Speaker 2: At all, but of rugby action of course over the
- 16:11Speaker 2: weekend too. Finals time. How about this foulers you were
- 16:14Speaker 2: you were talking about this last week, how the final
- 16:17Speaker 2: system in rugby and Super rugby is just stupid. Let
- 16:21Speaker 2: me get me. Can I give you a stat Auckland
- 16:25Speaker 2: of the Blues have lost their last four matches and
- 16:28Speaker 2: are still in contention.
- 16:30Speaker 5: Isn't that crazy?
- 16:31Speaker 2: It's just I mean, what's going on there?
- 16:33Speaker 9: Ah?
- 16:33Speaker 2: But they were who played who? Let me think?
- 16:36Speaker 3: So the Hurricanes the huge scores, huge scores, yes, sixty
- 16:39Speaker 3: six twelve over the Brumby. So the Hurricanes still the
- 16:42Speaker 3: team to beat Crusader's fifty two to thirty one over
- 16:44Speaker 3: the Blues, Yes, hiding and the Chiefs beat the Reds
- 16:47Speaker 3: forty six to twenty four. And as a result, we've
- 16:50Speaker 3: got New Zealand Derby's both Friday and Saturday this coming weekend, Chiefs,
- 16:54Speaker 3: Crusaders and Hurricanes Blues.
- 16:56Speaker 5: So it's exciting, yes, because.
- 16:57Speaker 3: This weekend is going to be great, But you're right
- 16:59Speaker 3: when you lose that we again in a row at
- 17:01Speaker 3: his business end of the season, they're trying to drag
- 17:03Speaker 3: it out and.
- 17:03Speaker 4: You feel like you're involved in a competition where TV
- 17:06Speaker 4: rights are the only thing they care about.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Yes, I agree.
- 17:09Speaker 5: Some other big stuff happened over the weekend, feel as
- 17:12Speaker 5: Alexander Zverev won the finally won and Open, the French
- 17:16Speaker 5: Open right which and Liam Lawson today had his best
- 17:20Speaker 5: ever finished and the Monica Grand Prix he finished fifth.
- 17:22Speaker 4: Firth is best his best ever equal he finished fifth
- 17:26Speaker 4: before just on the Test matches a second Test England
- 17:29Speaker 4: versus the Black cancel. But at the next one I'll
- 17:31Speaker 4: be at the Oval not until June seventeenth, so nine
- 17:35Speaker 4: days away.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Yeah, good stuff. So the All Whites played England, which
- 17:40Speaker 2: I had no idea about. In the soccer last one nil,
- 17:43Speaker 2: which seemed to me.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Last one Neil Hurricane scored going into the half time
- 17:49Speaker 4: break and then England put out an entirely different team
- 17:52Speaker 4: for the second half, remained at one nil, better than
- 17:56Speaker 4: losing four mill a couple of days before to Haiti.
- 17:58Speaker 6: I think it was.
- 18:01Speaker 5: Hey, fella's good sports chat man.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Here's the White Strike.
- 18:07Speaker 1: The Hdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on Radio.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Holdarky Beis He's there on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show
- 18:14Speaker 2: this Monday afternoon. The time is eleven minutes to five o'clock.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Let's talk TV.
- 18:21Speaker 5: What's on the Telly with Mike Minogue.
- 18:29Speaker 6: Hi, guys, guys, Hi, Mike.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Hello.
- 18:33Speaker 6: Hello.
- 18:34Speaker 4: I finished off the second season of The Chestnut Man. Oh, yes,
- 18:38Speaker 4: the Chestnut Man. They call him Key. He's a mad bastar.
- 18:42Speaker 4: I don't like that name, the Chestnut Man hyphen I
- 18:45Speaker 4: know it would be colon hide and Seek. So the
- 18:49Speaker 4: Chestnut Man is the name of I'm going to say Danish,
- 18:52Speaker 4: I don't know, there's somewhere over there, and it's the
- 18:56Speaker 4: name of a nursery rhyme that they've got, and so
- 18:59Speaker 4: this Chestnut Man would sing this song or do this.
- 19:01Speaker 5: Rhyme, and then they got some pretty grim nursing rhymes
- 19:04Speaker 5: over there.
- 19:05Speaker 4: They do, yeah, particularly grim. And so the first season
- 19:09Speaker 4: was really good. This one is the same, different storyline,
- 19:14Speaker 4: different kind of psycho. Six episodes. I really enjoyed it.
- 19:18Speaker 4: I think it's great. Three point seventy five buzzies out
- 19:21Speaker 4: of a possible five. The storyline is that somebody who's
- 19:24Speaker 4: going around killing Bee. I love that, and these police
- 19:28Speaker 4: officers who love each other have to find out who's
- 19:33Speaker 4: doing it.
- 19:34Speaker 5: I love the sound of that.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Do they love each other or they sexually attracted to
- 19:39Speaker 2: each other?
- 19:39Speaker 4: Well, look, in the first season they got together, but
- 19:41Speaker 4: when we picked things up in this season at the
- 19:43Speaker 4: end of the first season, they were together. When we
- 19:45Speaker 4: pick it up, they've broken up. He just walked out
- 19:46Speaker 4: for no reason. She didn't know what the issue was.
- 19:49Speaker 4: But he's back in her life, and you can't deny
- 19:50Speaker 4: the electricity. And her daughter had a real affection for him,
- 19:53Speaker 4: so it really hurt her and she's glad to have
- 19:56Speaker 4: him back.
- 19:58Speaker 6: But there's some demons there, Jason.
- 20:00Speaker 4: You might know what they are. And he's a complicated man.
- 20:02Speaker 4: I'll say that for him. He's not an alcoholic, but
- 20:05Speaker 4: he does have some issues. Three point seventy five buzzes
- 20:07Speaker 4: out of a possible five that's available there on your Netflix.
- 20:10Speaker 6: Definitely worth a watch.
- 20:12Speaker 2: In terms of viewing Fellers, I've just got a very
- 20:13Speaker 2: quick question because I watched bits and pieces throughout the weekend.
- 20:17Speaker 2: But on the old Instagram there, you know, on the
- 20:20Speaker 2: reels and so forth, are you guys now getting a
- 20:22Speaker 2: message saying time to stop scrolling, give yourself a break? No, No,
- 20:28Speaker 2: I've never had those before, and I'm like, you follow
- 20:32Speaker 2: a message in your game, suddenly getting this message, and
- 20:35Speaker 2: because I don't actually scroll.
- 20:36Speaker 5: That much, I don't know.
- 20:38Speaker 4: I cannot find to find out what this actually is.
- 20:41Speaker 4: It feels like an ad. I feel like brick or
- 20:44Speaker 4: something like that. There's one of these ads for something
- 20:47Speaker 4: or other.
- 20:47Speaker 5: That'll be I reckon he's accidentally paid for a weird
- 20:50Speaker 5: version of Instagram. Yeah that you pay you as you
- 20:52Speaker 5: scroll or something.
- 20:53Speaker 2: But it says that right, But then it won't let
- 20:55Speaker 2: me scroll anymore. I can't scroll anymore.
- 20:59Speaker 5: Like a thing on your phone that limits screen activity.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Okay, good stuff.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Over the weekend, my wife and I sat down and
- 21:06Speaker 3: watched the nineteen ninety five block blockbuster Did you sit
- 21:09Speaker 3: down and watch it? A Polo thirteen? A Polo A
- 21:12Speaker 3: Polo thirteen? Tom Hanks, Ron Howard. We watched it because
- 21:17Speaker 3: obviously A Beautiful Mind was so good yeah that we
- 21:19Speaker 3: were like, let's watch another Ron Howard based on a
- 21:22Speaker 3: true story situation. The issue with A Polo thirteen is
- 21:25Speaker 3: it's a lot of guys in a confined space and
- 21:28Speaker 3: then guys in a control yeah, and people talking about stuff. Yeah,
- 21:35Speaker 3: like yeah, it's hard to explain. But a lot of
- 21:36Speaker 3: the movie is people dropping facts and explaining science y
- 21:39Speaker 3: rocket stuff because it's about a space flight that goes wrong.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Whereas yeah, a good film, good film, however, someone just
- 21:47Speaker 3: text her here at lacks atmosphere on three four eight
- 21:50Speaker 3: three is good stuff. There is a massive spoiler at
- 21:52Speaker 3: the start because I am not aware of how a
- 21:56Speaker 3: Polo thirteen finishes. I'm not sure if that's the one
- 21:59Speaker 3: with the people pair wished or with that save, et cetera.
- 22:02Speaker 3: At the very start there is a spoiler and it
- 22:04Speaker 3: says based on the novel written by Jim Lovell, who
- 22:08Speaker 3: is the main character. I was like, okay, so he
- 22:10Speaker 3: lives then, yeah, oh it was okay, it was pretty good.
- 22:14Speaker 6: I found it boring.
- 22:15Speaker 3: It is a bit boring, to be honest. We had
- 22:17Speaker 3: to pause it about three or four times to go
- 22:18Speaker 3: and like make and yeah, you know, my love and
- 22:21Speaker 3: that I'll give it like three point three.
- 22:25Speaker 6: Busy and all that sort of stuff. But it's just
- 22:27Speaker 6: I just, yeah, just boring.
- 22:29Speaker 5: It's no, it's no chestnut Man.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's no Instagram.
- 22:35Speaker 6: Yeah, there's no Pugs in a bread.
- 22:38Speaker 2: It's Queens of the Stone Age.
- 22:43Speaker 1: The whole Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio Hold.
- 22:49Speaker 2: I can welcome back your messive backbones. I hope you
- 22:51Speaker 2: survived your Monday. Okay, you're listening to the Big Show
- 22:55Speaker 2: brought to you by Rebig Year And.
- 22:57Speaker 3: A reminder, Reburger provides handcrafted burgers, loaded fries and gormet
- 23:01Speaker 3: eats that will change the game.
- 23:03Speaker 9: Winner of the.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Nice praying worthy I am fresh from street food goes
- 23:15Speaker 2: to pray big.
- 23:24Speaker 4: They certainly deserve it, fells well earned the only ones
- 23:27Speaker 4: in the category as far as I'm concerned.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Yea, you don't mention that though, totally in all honesty,
- 23:32Speaker 2: and I'll talk about it a little bit later on
- 23:34Speaker 2: the show. I wish I had Reburger this last weekend,
- 23:37Speaker 2: but I didn't, and I'm I'm kicking myself, kicking myself.
- 23:44Speaker 6: I had another Masa, didn't you.
- 23:45Speaker 2: I had an absolute maza on Friday night, which we'll
- 23:48Speaker 2: talk about later.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Another reminder I said this last week, but Reburger at
- 23:53Speaker 3: two thirty am, while still steamed is amazing. It's because
- 23:58Speaker 3: usually all you can get at that time. I didn't
- 24:00Speaker 3: realize Reburger was still open and awkward. Anyway you could,
- 24:02Speaker 3: you could Uber eats it. Yes, Usually all you can
- 24:04Speaker 3: get is all the you know, the junk food, whereas
- 24:06Speaker 3: reburger when you're esteemed is like the best thing you've
- 24:10Speaker 3: ever eaten.
- 24:10Speaker 2: It's the best thing.
- 24:11Speaker 5: Even when you're not seen, even when you're sober, it's
- 24:14Speaker 5: even better.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Listen, very exciting news for Mogi. He's going to tell
- 24:19Speaker 2: us all about it next. But in the meantime, here's
- 24:22Speaker 2: the Killer The.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Hierarchy Big Show was Jason, Mike and Keyzy.
- 24:26Speaker 6: Tune in on Radio Hodky.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Yes, indeed radio head there on the Radio Hodarchy Big
- 24:32Speaker 2: Show this Monday afternoon. The time is thirteen minutes past
- 24:35Speaker 2: five o'clock.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Play the sting. Geezy, I don't have it man, Oh
- 24:38Speaker 4: for good, I'm sorry everyone. We talked about this for hours.
- 24:42Speaker 6: Oh here it is Fellers.
- 24:45Speaker 4: I've got a bit of a conundrum and I just
- 24:47Speaker 4: want to run it past you and also the listeners
- 24:49Speaker 4: out there.
- 24:49Speaker 6: Let's know what you think. On three four eight three.
- 24:51Speaker 6: That's a text number.
- 24:52Speaker 5: The keys actually it's a text number and every text
- 24:54Speaker 5: at the end of the show, put them all together.
- 24:56Speaker 6: Million dollars. Was gonna say Reburger out. Oh yeah, even
- 24:59Speaker 6: better than yeah yeah man.
- 25:01Speaker 4: So fellas we've been running this competition with Street Dog,
- 25:05Speaker 4: we gave away a couple of these electric bikes motorbikes,
- 25:10Speaker 4: one to the South Island chapter, one to the North
- 25:11Speaker 4: Island chapter. And when I was looking at these things,
- 25:13Speaker 4: I was thinking, she's old of mine one of these, man, Yeah,
- 25:16Speaker 4: they're pretty cool of mine, one of these, man. So
- 25:18Speaker 4: I went and had a geeze over the weekend, took
- 25:20Speaker 4: one out for a test ride with my six year
- 25:23Speaker 4: old daughter on the back there, and it was good fun.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Man. I'm keen, I'm keen, real keen.
- 25:32Speaker 6: The trouble is what sort of happened is that.
- 25:36Speaker 4: At sort of the same time, my mother, oh Marge,
- 25:41Speaker 4: is moving into a rest home. So essentially what it
- 25:43Speaker 4: means as well, retirement village. I better be careful, yes,
- 25:46Speaker 4: retirement village, and so that means downsizing. So she's gifting
- 25:51Speaker 4: me a whole lot of stuff that would otherwise have
- 25:52Speaker 4: gone into the dump, one of which is an electrical bicycle.
- 25:57Speaker 5: Well, wouldn't it be massive because your mum's really tall?
- 25:59Speaker 4: It's really tall. Yeah yeah, but it can be resized
- 26:02Speaker 4: for me. It's turned up. It turned up literally today
- 26:05Speaker 4: with all of this other stuff.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Oh so she just sent it all to you.
- 26:08Speaker 4: Yes, wow, yeah, said it all through And it's this
- 26:11Speaker 4: push bike. It's a step through, you know what I'm saying.
- 26:17Speaker 4: You know what that is, Jason. That's where they don't
- 26:19Speaker 4: have the bar at the top. Now it used to
- 26:21Speaker 4: be called a man's but you know I've had a
- 26:22Speaker 4: bar at the top. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, So it's
- 26:25Speaker 4: called a step through now?
- 26:27Speaker 5: Is that for women who wear long dresses sort of
- 26:29Speaker 5: things so they can just step well?
- 26:30Speaker 4: Side said, oh yeah, I don't know. So, I don't
- 26:32Speaker 4: know why that is. I don't know why they have that,
- 26:34Speaker 4: but yeah, to step through. But it certainly works for Marge,
- 26:37Speaker 4: who's you know, getting on in life, so she wouldn't
- 26:39Speaker 4: be able to swing a leg like she used to
- 26:40Speaker 4: do in the old days.
- 26:41Speaker 6: Yeah, jeez, boy, did she.
- 26:43Speaker 5: Swing a leg your mum?
- 26:45Speaker 4: Anyway, where we're sort of at now, is I really
- 26:48Speaker 4: want this really fancy, cool looking thing and my wife
- 26:52Speaker 4: is going to say to me, well, you've already got
- 26:54Speaker 4: this one and it's free. Why would we even consider
- 26:57Speaker 4: buying something that's expensive like this other thing?
- 27:00Speaker 6: It's not free?
- 27:02Speaker 4: And I guess what I would quite like, as a
- 27:05Speaker 4: man that's, you know, fast approaching his fiftieth birthday, is
- 27:10Speaker 4: to not have to commute on something that's an absolute humiliator.
- 27:15Speaker 4: So what I've sort of been dealing with is I've
- 27:18Speaker 4: been walking to work, which is fine, but I've also
- 27:20Speaker 4: been using the Line or the Flamingo. I prefer the
- 27:22Speaker 4: Flamingo because it's New Zealand owned and operator. But a
- 27:25Speaker 4: fifty year old man on a Flamingo scooter going at yeah,
- 27:29Speaker 4: not an actual Flamingo. Yeah, you're right, a Flamingo scooter.
- 27:33Speaker 4: If I was on an actual Flamingo, that'd.
- 27:34Speaker 5: Be a Flamingo into work.
- 27:39Speaker 6: But they go at about six g's an hour.
- 27:41Speaker 4: And when you're doing that in Russia, everybody's around and
- 27:47Speaker 4: it's just embarrassing.
- 27:48Speaker 5: Yeah, whereas you're used to looking cool as arriving in
- 27:50Speaker 5: the teeter.
- 27:51Speaker 4: Oh so that's another thing. You know, people think that
- 27:54Speaker 4: that's punishing. So here I am my whole life and finally,
- 27:57Speaker 4: what about something for me? My wife's fine, she's got
- 27:58Speaker 4: this really cool electric yes, but what about me?
- 28:02Speaker 3: So are you telling me that you're approaching fifty and
- 28:05Speaker 3: you're getting a motorbike yeah, yeah, but it's either that.
- 28:10Speaker 4: But I mean, really, what's the difference between that and
- 28:12Speaker 4: this electric pushbike? You know, I'm just as close to
- 28:15Speaker 4: death one or the other.
- 28:16Speaker 5: By the way, the reason that they have step through bikes,
- 28:20Speaker 5: and this is maybe why your mother had it effortless mounting.
- 28:23Speaker 6: Oh if it is mounting, Yeah, yeah, she loves that.
- 28:25Speaker 2: I couldn't help but feel when you were describing that,
- 28:27Speaker 2: it sort of sounds perfect for me.
- 28:30Speaker 6: What the step through?
- 28:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I agree, you know what I mean? I agree
- 28:33Speaker 5: it has a basket on the front.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Dad does.
- 28:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:37Speaker 5: Can you imagine me in the basket with a towel
- 28:41Speaker 5: over his head.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Cruising around the CBD and your little step.
- 28:45Speaker 5: Through and Mogi's riding and put the trying to get
- 28:48Speaker 5: away from the police. That's great.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Yeah. So anyway, there's going to be an ongoing argument,
- 28:54Speaker 4: but it sort of feels like I might risk standing
- 28:57Speaker 4: my ground on this one.
- 28:58Speaker 6: Okay, tell all my chances.
- 29:02Speaker 5: Electric motorbike or electric bicycle? Which one should Mogi get?
- 29:05Speaker 6: Three?
- 29:06Speaker 5: Four eight three.
- 29:07Speaker 1: In the meantime, here's system of a down the Hurdarchy
- 29:11Speaker 1: Big show weekdays from four on Radio hod Ichu is
- 29:14Speaker 1: indeed sublime.
- 29:15Speaker 2: There on the radio Hodarky Big Show this Monday afternoon
- 29:20Speaker 2: the time five twenty.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Three, fellas, I had a strange encounter of the Hoidi Jabra,
- 29:25Speaker 3: bless you, Jace, you're good man.
- 29:27Speaker 6: Yeah, checking on a chip.
- 29:29Speaker 2: No, it's got a bit of a burn going on.
- 29:31Speaker 3: You've also got chips on your hoodie. But anyway, our fellows,
- 29:33Speaker 3: I had a strange encounter of the Hoidy j kind.
- 29:35Speaker 5: Today strange encounters of the hoy.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Now, for those of you that don't know, Jace lives
- 29:46Speaker 3: in the city and you spend a lot of time
- 29:49Speaker 3: walking around the city, Jase and you, interesting characters seem
- 29:53Speaker 3: to gravitate towards you.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Yes, very often.
- 29:56Speaker 4: But can I say that it's not because he lives
- 29:58Speaker 4: in the CBD. This has been happening since time began. Yes, yeah,
- 30:02Speaker 4: a lot.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:02Speaker 3: And the case in point was a few years ago.
- 30:05Speaker 3: We were in Wellington and an interesting character was walking past.
- 30:08Speaker 3: All four of us from the Big Show, including Pugs.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Looked at Pugs, looked at Moggie, looked at me, and
- 30:12Speaker 3: then zeroed in on Jace. Walked over to Jase. He
- 30:15Speaker 3: had a little trolley with him and he said to
- 30:17Speaker 3: Jace and the world keeps turning a mate, and then
- 30:21Speaker 3: you said yeah mate, yeah, mate, And then we were like,
- 30:24Speaker 3: why did he choose you? Anyway, this is what happened
- 30:27Speaker 3: to me today. It was a very hoidy j moment.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Driving from out west in Auckland. You come off the
- 30:33Speaker 3: motorway to a set of traffic lights that go down
- 30:35Speaker 3: into town, down towards the Hooducky office, and there's always
- 30:39Speaker 3: someone there washing windows or asking for money and stuff.
- 30:43Speaker 5: Yes, And in fact, I keep a little thing full
- 30:45Speaker 5: of two dollar coins in my car and gravel you
- 30:47Speaker 5: see it, and gravel, And I used the two dollar
- 30:50Speaker 5: coins at the vending machine, and I used the gravel
- 30:52Speaker 5: to give to them. You're right, Mogi.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Today I was in my truckie and the window was
- 30:59Speaker 3: down and it was an older woman holding a sign.
- 31:02Speaker 3: It said any spear change. I didn't have it because
- 31:03Speaker 3: I wasn't in my car that usually has the gravel
- 31:05Speaker 3: in it. So she came around to the window that
- 31:08Speaker 3: I was driving at because it's on the other side,
- 31:10Speaker 3: and she just goes, what is this saying? She turned
- 31:13Speaker 3: her sign around and on the back it had the
- 31:14Speaker 3: word time written there, and I was like, time, do
- 31:18Speaker 3: you want to know the time. And then she just said, no,
- 31:20Speaker 3: your time has come. She said, I know what you
- 31:23Speaker 3: did the other day down by the trees over there. Yeah,
- 31:26Speaker 3: and just so you know, everyone knows about it. Yeah,
- 31:30Speaker 3: and you're going to get an absolute hiding suit. So
- 31:33Speaker 3: just the thing, you know, man, And like I was like, oh, yeah,
- 31:37Speaker 3: it's good to know though.
- 31:38Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 31:38Speaker 5: And then I said, oh, you sure have got me
- 31:40Speaker 5: confused with Hoidy J. And then she said, oh.
- 31:44Speaker 6: Yeah, because that's a classic Cordy J.
- 31:48Speaker 2: Very much so. And it's a you get you get
- 31:53Speaker 2: to understand these things when you're on the street all
- 31:55Speaker 2: the time. Keezy right, yeah, sort of upper and lower side.
- 32:00Speaker 2: It's a term of affection when they come up to
- 32:04Speaker 2: and they say, you know, blah blah blah, we're going
- 32:06Speaker 2: to smack you in the head.
- 32:07Speaker 6: You go high five man.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Funnily enough, going home on Friday night, do what passed me?
- 32:18Speaker 2: And I think he was a homeless guy and he
- 32:22Speaker 2: he said something to me and I didn't quite catch it.
- 32:26Speaker 5: And that is the mistake he always makes.
- 32:28Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm walking on.
- 32:30Speaker 2: I carried on walking about another meter or two and
- 32:34Speaker 2: ten round and he was infing and jeffinite me, and I.
- 32:38Speaker 8: Was like, oh, sorry, man, what did you say? And
- 32:43Speaker 8: he said, bro, I went to first pump. I see
- 32:46Speaker 8: you every day. I went to first pump and you
- 32:48Speaker 8: didn't first pump me.
- 32:49Speaker 2: And I went sorry, brother, and I gave him a
- 32:52Speaker 2: bit of a first pump and then he smacked me
- 32:54Speaker 2: in the head.
- 32:57Speaker 6: First pump, yeah you know he yeah, first bump.
- 33:03Speaker 2: No a first pump.
- 33:05Speaker 6: Yeah, No, that's Joe's that's a that's a first bump first.
- 33:09Speaker 6: Do you know why? Because you bump your first?

- 36:17Speaker 2: the guys don't actually get to see the game.
- 36:20Speaker 6: Yeah, defends, Yeah, that commentates the game the whole time,
- 36:26Speaker 6: which is also equally Yeah, yeah.
- 36:28Speaker 5: That'd be perfect, actually, Patrick, all right, I like the
- 36:30Speaker 5: sound of you mate, you're are You're in the drawer, right,

- 36:40Speaker 2: We want after like the first day, the fellas going,
- 36:44Speaker 2: what have we done?
- 36:45Speaker 4: That's right, that's right. They think they're going to weigh
- 36:47Speaker 4: for a huge, fantastic time and event, but against ruined.
- 36:52Speaker 6: If if the Worriers make the Grand Final, Keys, will
- 36:54Speaker 6: you be there? I don't know.
- 36:57Speaker 3: It's it's one of those thing where I don't even
- 36:59Speaker 3: want I don't even want to think about if they're

- 38:08Speaker 3: your uber eats on Friday and a little bit. What's
- 38:11Speaker 3: for Teenay night failers?
- 38:13Speaker 4: Great question, I don't know, but better be good. You
- 38:18Speaker 4: know what I need in my life is someone like say,
- 38:20Speaker 4: what do you ja to come around and say, look,
- 38:22Speaker 4: I'll take care of it, Bay, leave it with me,
- 38:25Speaker 4: and then I can have nothing turn up for two
- 38:28Speaker 4: hours and then go and get something that really lets
- 38:30Speaker 4: me down.
- 38:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Yeah, oh good time.
- 38:33Speaker 6: But I don't know what it is, but yeah, I
- 38:34Speaker 6: hope it's good man. I am. I do need a
- 38:36Speaker 6: good fee tonight.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm having Big Ears yup homemade. Yes, you love this?
- 38:42Speaker 2: Actually smash Big Years.
- 38:45Speaker 5: Are you going to smash them?
- 38:46Speaker 2: Yes?
- 38:47Speaker 5: From the supermarket? Yes, yeah, okay they're pretty good. Yeah,
- 38:50Speaker 5: a proper smash.
- 38:51Speaker 2: But I was actually disgusted when I saw the packet
- 38:54Speaker 2: you bought Smash Big Ears.
- 38:56Speaker 6: Yeah, what have you become?
- 38:58Speaker 9: Men?
- 39:00Speaker 2: It's all falling apart? Can I just say on the
- 39:03Speaker 2: other side of my tobacco? On Friday night, found some
- 39:06Speaker 2: amazing food joints over the weekend in the town so.
- 39:09Speaker 5: They called Reburger.
- 39:10Speaker 2: No they were not.
- 39:14Speaker 5: Butterfly Chicken.
- 39:15Speaker 4: Again with third Butterfly Chicken, I worry for the butterfly
- 39:21Speaker 4: chickens that live around your joint.
- 39:23Speaker 6: They're can smash slaughtered.
- 39:26Speaker 5: Is that a breed of chicken?
- 39:27Speaker 6: It's a breed of chicken, a butterfly chicken.
- 39:29Speaker 5: Yeah, wow, I didn't know that.
- 39:30Speaker 3: I thought it was because that sort of butterflied when
- 39:32Speaker 3: they prepared, they sort of slipped from.
- 39:36Speaker 6: Yeah to mouth or whatever.
- 39:41Speaker 5: But yeah, I love a butterfly chicken.
- 39:42Speaker 4: Having another butterfly chicken, which, let to be honest, it's
- 39:45Speaker 4: the same as any other kind of chicken.
- 39:47Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah, Why are you so obstansd with a butterfly chicken?
- 39:51Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 39:51Speaker 3: My wife's just really into them at the moment, so
- 39:53Speaker 3: I'm right. Is it marinated garlic and something glican thyme?
- 40:00Speaker 3: It's great because the next day you can make chicken sami.
- 40:02Speaker 6: Oh of course she can.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Y Yeah, I usually make a chicken soup out of it.
- 40:06Speaker 2: But I hear what you're saying, what.
- 40:07Speaker 6: Do you have with the butterfly chicken? You're not just
- 40:09Speaker 6: having that on its own.
- 40:11Speaker 3: My wife will make a delicious salad. I think she's
- 40:13Speaker 3: making like a pumpkin and no like rockets, no bit
- 40:19Speaker 3: of like yogurty stuff. And there's some other stuff, and
- 40:25Speaker 3: there is like cranberries and start there.
- 40:27Speaker 6: It's all.
- 40:27Speaker 5: It's delicious.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Actually, just on that on cranberries. My wife made a
- 40:32Speaker 2: delicious chocolate slice the other day, but she ruined it
- 40:36Speaker 2: by putting cranberries in. It ruined it.
- 40:40Speaker 6: So you stopped talking her for three days.
- 40:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I packed another sandwich and bean, I've had enough.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Here's Arctic monkeys.
- 40:49Speaker 5: You guys got such a healthy relationship.
- 40:52Speaker 1: The Darky Big Show week days from four on Radio
- 40:57Speaker 1: Cool Jam.
- 40:57Speaker 2: There on the Radio Hodaki Big Show this Monday evening.
- 41:00Speaker 2: The time is thirteen minutes past six o'clock.
- 41:02Speaker 5: Fi Fellers. God, I've got a bone to pick, man, Yeah,
- 41:08Speaker 5: I got a bone to pick.
- 41:10Speaker 2: So cool, Jason, is it food related? Nah?
- 41:14Speaker 4: Are you saying you've got a bone to pick or
- 41:15Speaker 4: you've got a boner pick? Because I would love it
- 41:19Speaker 4: to be the ladder?
- 41:20Speaker 5: Is it's the ladder.
- 41:22Speaker 3: I've got a bona pick and it's it's in my
- 41:24Speaker 3: albums and I don't know whether I should delete it
- 41:26Speaker 3: or archive it.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Will send it to me, we'll make it. We'll make
- 41:30Speaker 2: a call on it.
- 41:31Speaker 6: Okay. Cool.
- 41:32Speaker 5: Actually, now that we've dealt with that, boner pick, I've
- 41:34Speaker 5: got a bone to pick. I got a bone a
- 41:37Speaker 5: pick does sound like that.
- 41:42Speaker 3: So we're in the process of buying a new house
- 41:44Speaker 3: right and that involves us going to approximately one billion
- 41:47Speaker 3: open homes every single weekend, which begins it's like it's.
- 41:52Speaker 5: Exciting to begin with and then quickly becomes punishing.
- 41:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:56Speaker 3: One thing I've noticed is the difference in real estate
- 41:59Speaker 3: agents right now. There are quite a few real estate
- 42:02Speaker 3: agents out west where we are who are really lovely,
- 42:06Speaker 3: really bubbly, really chatty, really nice, really positive experiences. Whenever
- 42:09Speaker 3: we see them, we go, oh, it's blah blahs listening.
- 42:11Speaker 3: That's great, go see them.
- 42:13Speaker 5: They're always really good. I've noticed whenever you.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Come into the city and the sort of you know,
- 42:18Speaker 3: the fancier suburbs, we're going to get way less for
- 42:21Speaker 3: our money. The renistered agents are massively blinged out. They
- 42:26Speaker 3: have like Gucci this, and you know what I mean.
- 42:29Speaker 3: They've got all the huge like designer brands on. That's
- 42:37Speaker 3: the word I was looking for. Definitely that word. But
- 42:40Speaker 3: they have everything from head to foot. It looks like
- 42:42Speaker 3: cost their outfit cost them ten thousand dollars. Their car
- 42:46Speaker 3: parked out front is worth two hundred thousand dollars. And
- 42:50Speaker 3: then you go into the open home and they literally
- 42:51Speaker 3: are the most cold people I've ever met in my life.
- 42:54Speaker 6: Well, they can smell poor people, keezy, Is that what
- 42:56Speaker 6: it is? Yeah, they know a poor person when they
- 42:59Speaker 6: see one.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Their dress for success, man, they exude success. Yes, and
- 43:05Speaker 4: they ain't got time for you to come in, you know,
- 43:11Speaker 4: wearing your your hoodie that you bought.
- 43:12Speaker 6: Over at Magic Round.
- 43:13Speaker 5: I was wearing that hoodie.
- 43:15Speaker 4: Yeah, right, Well, this guy goes straight to the bottom
- 43:19Speaker 4: of the list if it ends up being, you know,
- 43:21Speaker 4: everyone chucking in a bid because the neighborhood will be
- 43:25Speaker 4: few minutes them me coming in, yes, absolutely dragging down
- 43:30Speaker 4: the prices of the houses. Because what are you coming
- 43:32Speaker 4: in with? You're coming in with your trucky old truck,
- 43:34Speaker 4: pretty loud. Yeah, that's right, your shipbox motorbike that starts
- 43:38Speaker 4: one and ten times. You see what I'm saying. Though,
- 43:39Speaker 4: you like you are, you're like the guys out of
- 43:43Speaker 4: the castle there. Yes, you're lovely, you're lovely people your backbones,
- 43:49Speaker 4: but you're better off living out by the airport.
- 43:53Speaker 10: What it is tire kicker written all over here, and
- 43:57Speaker 10: there's there's the waft of Yeah, poverty, poverty in west Auckland.
- 44:04Speaker 6: Do you find that they follow you around?
- 44:06Speaker 4: Because if I was a real estate agent and you
- 44:09Speaker 4: guys turned up, I'd be terrified that you would be
- 44:11Speaker 4: thieving things, you know, the silverware, et cetera.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Take it going through draws.
- 44:16Speaker 5: Yeah, the silverwaars what I go for.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, maybe because I was just like, oh, you know,
- 44:21Speaker 3: all these really like because my thing was I'd prefer
- 44:24Speaker 3: a ridist agent who didn't have a two hundred and
- 44:26Speaker 3: fifty thousand dollars car pulling up, because to me, that's
- 44:29Speaker 3: just like arrogance.
- 44:31Speaker 6: That's right.
- 44:31Speaker 4: But I think they're not aiming to have you as
- 44:34Speaker 4: a client, to have people that are super super rich
- 44:38Speaker 4: who also drive the same sort of because what you're
- 44:40Speaker 4: attracted to is people that are like you.
- 44:43Speaker 6: The ones that you like out West, I like you.
- 44:45Speaker 6: They're badly, they're friendly, they're nice.
- 44:46Speaker 5: They're nice.
- 44:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 44:47Speaker 4: The ones that are in the city are trying to
- 44:49Speaker 4: attract people that are like them, right, and so you
- 44:52Speaker 4: want people that are cold, bit snobby but clearly successful.
- 44:57Speaker 4: I've got the three hundred thousand dollars car and all
- 44:59Speaker 4: the all the labels and all that sort of stuff,
- 45:02Speaker 4: so that you think, oh, this person's like me, or
- 45:04Speaker 4: listen to what they've got to say. Yeah, absolutely, but
- 45:07Speaker 4: you're right, yeah a holes.
- 45:09Speaker 2: So I mean when I used to do that because
- 45:12Speaker 2: I came from out West, I know what you're going through, Keyzy,
- 45:15Speaker 2: and now I you know the city. Now I'm in
- 45:18Speaker 2: the city, they just flock. They're all over me.
- 45:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 45:21Speaker 2: So they called me cbd JS, so they're like anything
- 45:25Speaker 2: you want to know, CBDJ.
- 45:27Speaker 5: So Big City Jays walked in.
- 45:28Speaker 3: Yeah, who, by the way, wears the same hoodie every
- 45:31Speaker 3: day in a boys trip hat.
- 45:32Speaker 5: They would give him the time of day.
- 45:34Speaker 2: Yeah, because I freak of success.
- 45:40Speaker 1: The whole Archy Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kezy
- 45:42Speaker 1: tune in week days at four on Radio.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Hold Aks, we'z are there on the radio Hodarchy Big
- 45:48Speaker 2: Show this Monday evening. The time is six twenty six.
- 45:51Speaker 2: And you were just talking about real estate agents, Keezy,
- 45:55Speaker 2: that sort of you don't like.
- 45:57Speaker 5: Yeah, some day some of them I deeply dislike.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Yeah, because you know, they're a little bit cold and
- 46:03Speaker 2: their wealth and flaunt their wealth. I had a kind
- 46:06Speaker 2: of opposite kind of situation occure in the business front myself. Today,
- 46:13Speaker 2: I had to ring the bank. Fellas him rung a
- 46:16Speaker 2: a bank for a long long time. And the reason
- 46:19Speaker 2: that I had to ring the bank was because I
- 46:21Speaker 2: had an old account and what I needed was to
- 46:24Speaker 2: get the statements from that account, which no longer exists online.
- 46:29Speaker 2: It's gone because I closed it. But I needed the statements.
- 46:32Speaker 6: I'm with you.
- 46:33Speaker 2: So I called the bank and this woman answered, and
- 46:37Speaker 2: I was like hello, started yeah, hello, and she said hello,
- 46:42Speaker 2: and you know, how can I help you? And so
- 46:45Speaker 2: we got talking and I don't know if you guys
- 46:48Speaker 2: know this, but a lot of people find my voice
- 46:52Speaker 2: pretty sexy. And it was just a vibe by God
- 47:01Speaker 2: that she kind of liked men. Oh wow, I sort
- 47:05Speaker 2: of cracking a few jokes and stuff, and.
- 47:10Speaker 5: A few jokes in that when you say, like banking jokes.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Yeah, they were financially orientated. Keasy.
- 47:16Speaker 5: Now you've got my interest, Yeah, I'd like to make
- 47:21Speaker 5: a deposit.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and then withdrawal, Yeah, I've got your point decimal
- 47:28Speaker 2: point that is, anyway you want to see my what
- 47:40Speaker 2: ah my pen? Then things got really inappropriate and I
- 47:49Speaker 2: was like, whoa whoa forward match?
- 47:54Speaker 6: A charm match?
- 47:57Speaker 2: She said to me, can I have your phone number?
- 48:01Speaker 5: And I was like, wow, she asked me your number?
- 48:06Speaker 2: She asked for my phone number, and I.
- 48:07Speaker 6: Was like, excuse me, can I ask you a question? Jay?
- 48:11Speaker 2: Sure?
- 48:12Speaker 6: Did you give it to her? Oh?
- 48:14Speaker 5: Yeah, you gave me your number? Oh did you give
- 48:21Speaker 5: you your number?
- 48:22Speaker 6: Then?
- 48:23Speaker 2: Even more? I just move on even more forward than that,
- 48:27Speaker 2: and I said, you know, I was like flastered.
- 48:29Speaker 5: I was like, oh, oh, did you at any point
- 48:33Speaker 5: say you were married?
- 48:34Speaker 9: Well?
- 48:35Speaker 2: I didn't feel like I had to at this point,
- 48:36Speaker 2: but this is what I was going to get to that.
- 48:38Speaker 2: She said, can I just have your address?
- 48:42Speaker 5: And I was like, oh, okay, like she wants to
- 48:44Speaker 5: come around.
- 48:45Speaker 2: Wow? Yeah, And I said I guess so, but I
- 48:51Speaker 2: should let you know I'm married. And she was like,
- 48:54Speaker 2: oh it's your wife blah blah blah blah blah. And
- 48:56Speaker 2: I was like that's right, and she was like okay,
- 48:59Speaker 2: and then she I was like, can I get you
- 49:01Speaker 2: your email?
- 49:02Speaker 6: I'm going to send you something?
- 49:04Speaker 5: Did you say that like that?
- 49:05Speaker 2: Yeah? She said, can I get your email? I want
- 49:09Speaker 2: to send you something, A little something.
- 49:12Speaker 6: It was quite a big something.
- 49:15Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, I don't know if I
- 49:18Speaker 2: can sort of download photos or anything like that on
- 49:21Speaker 2: my email.
- 49:23Speaker 5: I hope you didn't say that, because that was the
- 49:24Speaker 5: most boomer statement I've ever heard.
- 49:27Speaker 6: You can, it's the best place to do it.
- 49:31Speaker 5: Don't tell photos of my email what.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Anyway, the good news was, fellas, I got all the
- 49:40Speaker 2: stuff I needed and I'm meeting her at.
- 49:45Speaker 5: Exist A good stuff for you.
- 49:55Speaker 1: It's top pity for the whole Ikey Big Show weekdays
- 49:59Speaker 1: from four on Radio Hodarchy, Lincoln Park.
- 50:02Speaker 2: There on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show this Monday evening.
- 50:07Speaker 2: The time is six thirty eight.

- 50:35Speaker 5: At gmail dot com get in touch with the fellas.
- 50:41Speaker 5: Please do get in touch for fellows.
- 50:45Speaker 3: Really email address if you need advice on anything, and
- 50:48Speaker 3: it features on the show Boom. It's one hundred percent
- 50:50Speaker 3: anonymous and you get a prize. That's what comes from
- 50:52Speaker 3: anonymous fellas. Yeah, good, ay there, excuse me, good there.
- 50:57Speaker 3: I need some advice. My partner and I are sta
- 51:00Speaker 3: with her parents after a stint abroad whilst we get sorted.
- 51:05Speaker 3: They've been great, no rent, no bills, and they've got
- 51:08Speaker 3: a real flash pad. They've been extra helpful since I've
- 51:11Speaker 3: started my own business, and they think I'm broke. Little
- 51:15Speaker 3: do they know I've been raking it in these first
- 51:17Speaker 3: few months. The question is do I keep bludging off
- 51:21Speaker 3: them until we move out? Or do I reveal my hand?
- 51:24Speaker 5: Jess Anonymous, what.
- 51:36Speaker 6: Have you got the adjacent any thoughts? Because I got thoughts.
- 51:40Speaker 2: It's an interesting one, isn't it. Do you bleed them
- 51:44Speaker 2: dry for as much as you can?
- 51:46Speaker 9: Well?
- 51:46Speaker 2: Do you want some respect in your life?
- 51:49Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 51:50Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Or do you want them
- 51:51Speaker 2: to continuously look at you like you're a massive loser,
- 51:57Speaker 2: which is like my wife's parents did with me.
- 52:00Speaker 4: For nigh on twenty years. Longer than that, nigh on
- 52:05Speaker 4: twenty five years. Of course, John, you started paying for
- 52:08Speaker 4: dinners when we were on the show. That's true, that's true.
- 52:11Speaker 5: Did you ever did you have a bludge off.
- 52:14Speaker 6: Them, yes, yes, yeah, twenty five years.
- 52:18Speaker 5: So you're saying it's a good idea to bludge off them, yeah, yes, Okay.
- 52:27Speaker 4: It's not so much about them looking at you as
- 52:30Speaker 4: you're looking at yourself in the mirror, tempting, I know,
- 52:34Speaker 4: to get free rent. But if you're killing it and
- 52:37Speaker 4: you can contribute, you should be contributing. I've got I
- 52:40Speaker 4: know people that have done this. This is quite close
- 52:43Speaker 4: to my heart, this thing here.
- 52:44Speaker 5: Yeah, right, and.
- 52:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's the lowest of the low to
- 52:51Speaker 4: be completely honest when you're not you jas You're different
- 52:54Speaker 4: because you were a struggling artist with you you didn't
- 52:57Speaker 4: contribute because you couldn't contribute, thank you. You had four
- 53:00Speaker 4: daughters and no real prospects, no real work, no real work,
- 53:05Speaker 4: no talent, et cetera, et cetera. It's completely different too,
- 53:12Speaker 4: as this guy is having heaps of money and choosing
- 53:14Speaker 4: to keep it quiet.
- 53:15Speaker 5: And just coming back from a big stint overseas, so
- 53:18Speaker 5: he had money to go money.
- 53:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 53:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, if I was the parents, I'd be
- 53:25Speaker 4: trying they obviously don't know, but I'd be trying to
- 53:27Speaker 4: break this up. This is that year you don't need
- 53:31Speaker 4: This is a son in law law, isn't it.
- 53:34Speaker 6: So Yeah, it's tricky.
- 53:35Speaker 3: I mean, I think what you're saying is he should
- 53:39Speaker 3: not only show his hand, he should also, out of respect,
- 53:42Speaker 3: leave the daughter.
- 53:43Speaker 5: Leave the daughter and do that family of fame.
- 53:46Speaker 6: That just walk into the ocean.
- 53:48Speaker 4: I mean, it's it's it's one of those things where
- 53:52Speaker 4: it's one thing that they're showing you. What they're doing
- 53:54Speaker 4: is they're showing you the They don't want you there.
- 53:57Speaker 4: Let's be clear, they don't want you there, but they're
- 53:59Speaker 4: showing you a because you're with your daughter. So they've
- 54:03Speaker 4: been so generous to give you their space to take
- 54:07Speaker 4: up time after the daughter has already left their house
- 54:09Speaker 4: that they could be spinning together and join each other's company.
- 54:12Speaker 4: So the least you can do is contribute as much
- 54:16Speaker 4: money as possible to ensure that they think you're a
- 54:20Speaker 4: stand up person.
- 54:21Speaker 5: Yeah, but I think it's past that now.
- 54:23Speaker 3: And now the other option is to leave the daughter,
- 54:25Speaker 3: leave the daughter, do that family a favor.
- 54:27Speaker 5: I think so, and just never speak to me.
- 54:29Speaker 4: Maybe some kind of a retreat. You need to go
- 54:32Speaker 4: on some kind of retreat and find yourself.
- 54:34Speaker 5: Yeah, probably overseas somewhere with all that money.
- 54:36Speaker 6: Oh Bali, Yeah yeah, Bali would be nice backbones over there.
- 54:40Speaker 5: Thailand, Yeah, Thailand, sure, Vietnam, Vietnam.
- 54:46Speaker 2: Now we can live for ages over there with very little.
- 54:49Speaker 3: Hey, if you need advice, slash to be ripped out
- 54:51Speaker 3: on the radio, me patting at sixty nine at gmail
- 54:54Speaker 3: dot com and you'll get a prize just like Anonymous.
- 54:57Speaker 6: It's worth it.
- 54:58Speaker 1: The whole Roky Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Haraki.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Well, there you go, your mayor bases. That's a big
- 55:10Speaker 2: show down and dusted for your Monday evening. Hey, Keysy, Hello,
- 55:14Speaker 2: what's the podcast outro? Clip?
- 55:16Speaker 5: Good question?
- 55:17Speaker 6: Jase.
- 55:17Speaker 3: Today's podcast outro, which comes out at seven thirty, is
- 55:20Speaker 3: entitled Crying over Burnt Milk.
- 55:25Speaker 2: Now she doesn't like it too hot, my wife, so
- 55:28Speaker 2: she's not like mine.
- 55:29Speaker 5: But you were obviously burning it though.
- 55:30Speaker 6: You were going to.
- 55:33Speaker 2: I will clarify I never burnt milk. Here is a
- 55:38Speaker 2: sitting team. Here's a sitting you.
- 55:42Speaker 6: She's calling you.
- 55:43Speaker 3: Bernie Ah, Bernie Week at Bernie Yes are out week.
- 55:48Speaker 11: At Bernie's where he doesn't say anything, Bernie Sanders that
- 55:55Speaker 11: you're a human Jerz old Bernie fuming about the burnt
- 56:01Speaker 11: milk situation.
- 56:02Speaker 5: So you burnt some milk? Who can?
- 56:04Speaker 6: Who cares?
- 56:04Speaker 4: Megones, Bogones's no use crying.
- 56:07Speaker 6: All I would do is just stop talking and wrap
- 56:11Speaker 6: the show up.
- 56:11Speaker 5: Yeah, silent treatment.
- 56:13Speaker 2: If you could, Magie, what are your plans to up?
- 56:18Speaker 6: I'll go home. I've got a new couch in the house,
- 56:22Speaker 6: nice new couch.
- 56:25Speaker 5: Couch.
- 56:25Speaker 4: It is a nice couch now it's not now. It's
- 56:27Speaker 4: come from March, my mum. So we had two matching couches,
- 56:31Speaker 4: but they're very narrow. They're very narrow, and I don't
- 56:34Speaker 4: like them. They face each other. It's one of those
- 56:36Speaker 4: things where it's good for people who come over, but
- 56:38Speaker 4: nobody ever comes over.
- 56:39Speaker 6: So what are we doing? Yes, so I got a
- 56:40Speaker 6: new match.
- 56:41Speaker 4: Wider couch, which is good for two people to be
- 56:43Speaker 4: able to lie on if you need a new kid.
- 56:46Speaker 4: But now it means there's different couches in there. So
- 56:48Speaker 4: I set it all up at home, and when I
- 56:50Speaker 4: go home, I'm going to find out what my wife
- 56:53Speaker 4: thinks about it proves right, and that's going to have
- 56:57Speaker 4: a major effect on how the rest of my evening.
- 57:00Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I'm hearing your keezy a fly chicken.
- 57:03Speaker 5: Butterfly chicken.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Probably watch some some sort of TV show with my wife.
- 57:08Speaker 3: Actually I'm hosting. I take over as the host of
- 57:11Speaker 3: Game of two Halves from tomorrow onwards.
- 57:14Speaker 6: Yeah, so in an early night, man.
- 57:16Speaker 5: Yeah, I've got I've got to go over the scripts
- 57:18Speaker 5: and stuff.
- 57:19Speaker 4: So I just say no beers for you, man, because
- 57:21Speaker 4: I'm worried about you know, certainly a bit nasy. A
- 57:24Speaker 4: beers last night, Jose five five beers last night, and
- 57:28Speaker 4: now look what's the next.
- 57:30Speaker 5: I always get a running nose.
- 57:31Speaker 6: It's just what happens.
- 57:32Speaker 5: It's really annoying. I don't know what causes it. Maybe
- 57:35Speaker 5: I should have an anti histamy the next.
- 57:36Speaker 6: How I don't know. Yeah, maybe that'll think it's annoying
- 57:39Speaker 6: for you.
- 57:40Speaker 5: It is annoying, Jace. Yeskezy, what are you up to tonight?
- 57:43Speaker 2: I'm going to go home and make my wife a
- 57:45Speaker 2: burnt coffee and.
- 57:49Speaker 5: Have a smash burger, order some Uber eats it won't
- 57:52Speaker 5: show up if.
- 57:53Speaker 2: And gff yeah, and flirt with a bank teller.
- 57:56Speaker 5: Yeah boy, Hey, you see tomorrow at four.
- 58:00Speaker 6: Okay, bye,
