- 0:43Speaker 3: By good morning, everybody, all right, tell you it's Tuesday.
- 0:48Speaker 3: It's April the seventh, twenty twenty six. My name is Woody,
- 0:53Speaker 3: Greg Gory wood We got menace. What's up high gena
- 0:56Speaker 3: grad Sea Bass, I mean Morgan is here. There's a
- 1:00Speaker 3: on our video producer, dumbass Tyler. We got bored, we
- 1:03Speaker 3: got Menji. We got the phones open eight seven seven
- 1:05Speaker 3: forty four. Woody, you can send us a text over
- 1:08Speaker 3: to two to nine eight seven. Coming up today, we're
- 1:12Speaker 3: gonna talk to Rich on Tech, our tech reporter. He's
- 1:15Speaker 3: got a nationally syndicated tech radio show. But he breaks
- 1:18Speaker 3: it down in a way that even you know, people
- 1:20Speaker 3: like Greg can understand.
- 1:21Speaker 2: It's normal people.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah, it's something you can actually use, you know, at home,
- 1:25Speaker 3: not super geek. But we'll get into the entertainment stuff.
- 1:28Speaker 3: We've got the news headlines, birthdays all coming up here
- 1:32Speaker 3: on The Woody Show. Now, people do love throwing boomer
- 1:37Speaker 3: around too much? Yeah, it's it's to the point now
- 1:40Speaker 3: it's overused. It's played out for sure, but for this
- 1:44Speaker 3: agree or disagree? Now, these were the most common answers
- 1:48Speaker 3: given when people were asked, what's your boomer opinion? So
- 1:51Speaker 3: let's just look past the boomer thing for one second.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Opinion.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Well, I think boomers kind of transitioning into unk.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah, unk is coming up there.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Boomer sounds more offensive.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, unk.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Sounds kind of cool because that came that at least
- 2:07Speaker 3: came that at least came from hip hop.
- 2:09Speaker 2: That's pretty.
- 2:10Speaker 3: That makes it cool, It makes it cooler, Like what's that?
- 2:13Speaker 3: What would be cooler something called.
- 2:14Speaker 2: You or boomer of course not boomer.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and like people, I think mostly it's annoying. Well,
- 2:22Speaker 3: just like anything else that gets over used because it's
- 2:24Speaker 3: it's used incorrectly exactly. It's like when people use literally incorrectly.
- 2:29Speaker 3: It's not daily, it's not what it is. Boomer is
- 2:34Speaker 3: the baby boomers, right, So like.
- 2:37Speaker 5: My yeah, right, my parents forty five, Like it's long,
- 2:41Speaker 5: it's like forty five through sixty one.
- 2:44Speaker 2: So let's talk about old the thing.
- 2:46Speaker 3: These are things that old people, uh you know, would think,
- 2:49Speaker 3: but as a not old person, as a younger person, like,
- 2:53Speaker 3: what do we share in common? Like, we have these
- 2:57Speaker 3: thoughts in common with all old people agree or disagree.
- 3:03Speaker 3: So again they ask young people what's their boomer opinion.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Let's see if you agree or disagree with these all right,
- 3:08Speaker 3: people sharing too much on social media?
- 3:10Speaker 2: Agree? I agree, I know, getting too emotional.
- 3:15Speaker 3: See, we got to talk more about the things that
- 3:17Speaker 3: bring us together, common things and common with everybody else,
- 3:20Speaker 3: you know, And I like seeing TV is getting too quiet,
- 3:26Speaker 3: but the commercials are getting louder.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yes, agree, I disagree. They had an act that disallowed that.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but like here's the difference on maybe broadcasts,
- 3:37Speaker 3: but like if you're watching like let's say on YouTube,
- 3:40Speaker 3: You're watching something on YouTube and all of a sudden
- 3:41Speaker 3: that ad kicks in.
- 3:42Speaker 5: Well that's the problem with the production of because I
- 3:45Speaker 5: do agree with that. There's a lot of people who
- 3:47Speaker 5: don't normalize their audio. And these are including like professional
- 3:50Speaker 5: like networks where like their audio is low and you
- 3:53Speaker 5: don't have to blow it out, but you go up tight,
- 3:55Speaker 5: full volume.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I hear it on podcasts all the time. Yes, they're terrible.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Uh, commercial ads the recordings are god awful, like terrible quality.
- 4:08Speaker 6: Honestly, it's really bad.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Shut out to I like a lot of stuff onto.
- 4:13Speaker 3: My first world problem is I was watching something on YouTube,
- 4:16Speaker 3: and all of a sudden, because I wasn't expecting it,
- 4:18Speaker 3: the ad came out of nowhere and it was so loud.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my God, startled me. But here's why
- 4:23Speaker 3: it made me angry. I'm a YouTube premium subscriber. I'm
- 4:27Speaker 3: not supposed to be getting these ads. I guess, uh,
- 4:30Speaker 3: it was something I clicked on that was through something else,
- 4:32Speaker 3: so it didn't go through the app. It just brought
- 4:34Speaker 3: it up on a browser. And so I'm like, I
- 4:37Speaker 3: was not expecting this ad. I don't I don't pay
- 4:39Speaker 3: for this.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Moran just accidentally gave us a thing that she shares
- 4:44Speaker 5: with the old people. I enjoyed the I enjoyed.
- 4:46Speaker 3: To be amies on the brutal horror.
- 4:51Speaker 2: It's big in the hood.
- 4:54Speaker 3: I agree or disagree. People are asked, what's your boomer opinion?
- 4:58Speaker 3: Physical buttons are better than to screens?
- 5:00Speaker 2: Agreed, agree, hardcore agree. I disagree, I think, and that's
- 5:05Speaker 2: why I love my car.
- 5:06Speaker 7: It's older, so it doesn't have the screen. It sells
- 5:08Speaker 7: buttons for everything.
- 5:09Speaker 3: So here's a lot of the car manufacturers are going
- 5:11Speaker 3: back to physical buttons, because I think in the car,
- 5:14Speaker 3: I think it depends on the application.
- 5:15Speaker 2: It's a combination of both.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Yea, right now, if you're like trying to order something
- 5:19Speaker 3: like a Kiosk kind of thing, okay, touch screen, yeah,
- 5:21Speaker 3: that makes a lot of sense, even like an ATM Okay, fine,
- 5:24Speaker 3: that makes a lot of sense. But in the car
- 5:27Speaker 3: or with a remote control, like I got these remote
- 5:30Speaker 3: controls that were all touch screen, right, Yeah, and it
- 5:34Speaker 3: sucks because like you can't just be like on the
- 5:36Speaker 3: couch kind of veging now because when you have like
- 5:38Speaker 3: a physical remote with them, yeah, like you can feel
- 5:41Speaker 3: your way around and you know, this is the guide button,
- 5:43Speaker 3: this is the channel of the volume up whatever. And
- 5:46Speaker 3: on the touch screen one that you have to be
- 5:47Speaker 3: looking at the same thing in the car, it's more distracting.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Yes, in some cars that you even get to the
- 5:52Speaker 4: actual radio, you have to go.
- 5:55Speaker 2: And it's anti blind.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, agree, just degree people don't need to
- 6:01Speaker 3: be filming an entire concert that they're.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Attending, Agreed. They're never going to watch that ever.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Again, I said to my wife all the time, and
- 6:08Speaker 3: she's like, you know, and we could be on a
- 6:09Speaker 3: vacation around I'm.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Like, what are you ever? What are you taking a
- 6:12Speaker 2: picture of?
- 6:13Speaker 8: Like?
- 6:13Speaker 3: When are you ever going to look at this ever?
- 6:14Speaker 2: Again? What pur there? But yeah, a couple of years.
- 6:20Speaker 3: But she'll she'll take like a random picture of something
- 6:22Speaker 3: like in the hallway of the hotel. I'm a painting, Yeah,
- 6:26Speaker 3: something really random?
- 6:27Speaker 2: A right?
- 6:28Speaker 3: Agree or disagree? People should be reading a book instead
- 6:30Speaker 3: of a book on a kindle. Don't care about it.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I don't care about that.
- 6:35Speaker 6: You're still getting the knowledge.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Who was reading? Tell about audio books?
- 6:41Speaker 9: Tell you?
- 6:42Speaker 3: I'll say, disagree with that one because I don't care.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Who cares.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Bring back humans and customer service instead of AI automation.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Everybody agrees with that.
- 6:51Speaker 4: MENACE's point customer services.
- 6:53Speaker 5: Whack dude, A lot of these humans are mega The
- 6:55Speaker 5: humans be Mega studios.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Oh man, okay, Can I share my Walmart story of
- 6:59Speaker 4: the day with the customer?
- 7:02Speaker 2: He's already jumped in. I know, man.
- 7:04Speaker 4: So I was at Walmart the other day and every
- 7:07Speaker 4: day it was packed, and I go into the electronics
- 7:10Speaker 4: section and of course the section that I want something in,
- 7:13Speaker 4: it's all locked up. There's only one worker there, and
- 7:18Speaker 4: there's a line. Uh to even talk to this guy.
- 7:21Speaker 4: And then there's another worker he's walking by and I go, oh, hey, man,
- 7:25Speaker 4: can I get this unlocked? He's like, oh, I'm sorry,
- 7:27Speaker 4: only that guy has the key. Okay, cool then right,
- 7:32Speaker 4: So then these other customers behind me ask another employee
- 7:36Speaker 4: walking by, and they asked him like, oh, hey, can
- 7:39Speaker 4: you unlock something for me? He's like, oh, no, sorry,
- 7:41Speaker 4: I asked that guy. The employee was pointing at a
- 7:44Speaker 4: random customer. Just so that you can get away from that.
- 7:48Speaker 4: He walked up to the customer and said, hey, can
- 7:51Speaker 4: you unlock that?
- 7:52Speaker 2: Oh I don't. I don't. I'm selling you, dude. So
- 7:58Speaker 2: my son was selling stuff on.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Macary and so there was a weird thing because he's
- 8:04Speaker 3: a minor, Like it was like my wife's information and
- 8:08Speaker 3: something out there. You're able to do it, like to
- 8:10Speaker 3: sign you know, so kids can do it, but it
- 8:12Speaker 3: has to be under your parents something and whatever.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Okay. Anyway, so we.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Got the notification that he had sold enough stuff that
- 8:18Speaker 3: had crossed whatever the threshold was that it got reported. Yeah,
- 8:25Speaker 3: he sold like four grand where the stuff? Yeah yeah,
- 8:30Speaker 3: Like you would get the Funko pops and he wouldn't
- 8:32Speaker 3: want them anymore. And you have him for a couple
- 8:34Speaker 3: of years and sell them. People were buying everything. He
- 8:36Speaker 3: was getting the signs from Spirit Halloween that they had
- 8:39Speaker 3: up around the store. Know that at the end of
- 8:43Speaker 3: the season or whatever, like people can say, oh, I
- 8:45Speaker 3: think that's a really cool sign.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I would like to and they just give them to you.
- 8:48Speaker 2: They don't charge you for him.
- 8:50Speaker 3: But he was taking these signs and then just selling
- 8:52Speaker 3: them online and people buy that stuff. It's crazy how
- 8:55Speaker 3: much people spend for he was selling. Remember he was
- 8:58Speaker 3: selling empty bottles of Prime, not even with Prime in it,
- 9:01Speaker 3: but these kids were buying like empty bottles of this Prime.
- 9:05Speaker 2: He's he's so, he's he's not dumb.
- 9:07Speaker 5: Okay, I'm seeing Audioby right now a spear Halloween signs. Yeah,
- 9:10Speaker 5: thirty dollars.
- 9:11Speaker 2: There you go. And he got it for nothing. He
- 9:14Speaker 2: got it. He got it for nothing.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Anyway, So you know, to get a hold of anybody
- 9:17Speaker 3: at McCary to get this information, because we had a
- 9:20Speaker 3: question that said, oh whatever, it was locked. We couldn't
- 9:24Speaker 3: get the actual document that we need to file with
- 9:26Speaker 3: the taxes. Now we're like in this holding pattern to
- 9:28Speaker 3: file the taxes because of McCary, And you can't get anybody.
- 9:31Speaker 2: There's no like, there's no way.
- 9:33Speaker 4: To get what it sucks about the website stuff.
- 9:35Speaker 2: It's unbelievably annoying.
- 9:37Speaker 4: Or it is a big time user of that site.
- 9:39Speaker 4: I'm sure maybe he can.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Oh, you have an in you have an inn over
- 9:41Speaker 2: there board.
- 9:42Speaker 3: That's why I stopped using McCary was because I could
- 9:44Speaker 3: get ahold of anybody only bots.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Yeah, the customer service blows. There is nobody there. It's
- 9:50Speaker 2: all AI run.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Yeah, i'd see here. Boomer opinion, what's your boomer opinion?
- 9:54Speaker 3: Do you agree or disagree? Music in bars is way
- 9:57Speaker 3: too loud?
- 9:58Speaker 8: Agree?
- 9:58Speaker 2: Agree for the most part. I agree. My is this
- 10:02Speaker 2: a boomer?
- 10:03Speaker 4: I don't think it's a boomer opinion because boomers love this.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I hate live music.
- 10:09Speaker 3: I just grouped out all together. That's why I agree.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I'd rather have a DJ. I was at a brewery
- 10:15Speaker 2: recently and they had the stupid chalkboard that said live
- 10:17Speaker 2: band tonight at such and such. I left, yeah, ten
- 10:20Speaker 2: minutes before they were that's good. Now I know what
- 10:24Speaker 2: time I leave, right, I'm with you. I love it.
- 10:26Speaker 2: They love it.
- 10:27Speaker 6: I love it too, though.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Just die off of live music? What's love?
- 10:31Speaker 8: Oh?
- 10:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I don't get it.
- 10:33Speaker 4: But anytime I'm around, I'm around a bar or a
- 10:37Speaker 4: restaurant that has live music.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Who's up in the front just this groove? Now it
- 10:41Speaker 2: is these.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Boomers and Sammy, who's a surfi boomer?
- 10:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree or disagree boomer opinions. Paper menus are
- 10:48Speaker 3: better than QR codes.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Agreed.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Not every appliance needs to be a smart appliance, That's
- 10:54Speaker 3: what I agreed.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Want everything smart.
- 10:58Speaker 3: And then kids are being brainwashed by TikTok agreed.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Agreed, everyone is as a.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Parent two kids, Yeah, they think everything is because of TikTok.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I forget what I forgot that.
- 11:14Speaker 1: There?
- 11:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I forget what old a song?
- 11:16Speaker 3: It was like something from the eighties and it came
- 11:17Speaker 3: on in the car and uh.
- 11:22Speaker 2: I what's that that was? That was the more recent.
- 11:25Speaker 3: There was one that was even older though, another song
- 11:27Speaker 3: that came up on like the you know eighties channel,
- 11:30Speaker 3: and my daughter goes, this is a TikTok song. How
- 11:34Speaker 3: do you guys know this song from the eighties. Well,
- 11:43Speaker 3: we've got more chances to win your five packs of

- 11:51Speaker 3: Away, so you could be there. Also, what's the deadline?
- 11:54Speaker 3: Is it tomorrow for going into the Vaughn's and Albertson's
- 11:58Speaker 3: Pavilion's locations.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Route from today? Oh it's today. Ye see that's important
- 12:04Speaker 2: for today, So through today you can still do it.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Yeah, stop it at any Albertons Vond's Pavilion's location. There's

- 12:27Speaker 3: gonna have a bunch that we're giving away this Friday.
- 12:29Speaker 3: So come meet everybody from the Woodies show at the
- 12:32Speaker 3: Albertons in Fullerton this Friday two to four pm and
- 12:35Speaker 3: win your way into the takeover.
- 12:38Speaker 2: It the wood Show. All right, welcome back, hey everybody.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean so, uh, I don't know if it's
- 12:48Speaker 3: all the big news. But this wax figure of Taylor Swift, Yeah,
- 12:53Speaker 3: it keeps popping up, man, I don't know why. Like, okay,
- 12:55Speaker 3: so in those I don't. I remember them being better.
- 13:00Speaker 3: I remember there being more realistic. Now I feel like
- 13:03Speaker 3: they do it on purpose.
- 13:05Speaker 4: I think, what do you mean to get the news
- 13:07Speaker 4: where they don't make them?
- 13:08Speaker 3: Look Now, that's not what the story is on this one.
- 13:11Speaker 3: It's a different story on this one. But I remember,
- 13:15Speaker 3: you know, seeing the article for the first time, and
- 13:17Speaker 3: I saw the wax figure of Taylor Swift, and I'm like, man,
- 13:21Speaker 3: I remember these things just looking more realistic.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Well, probably because you were a kid and you were
- 13:26Speaker 2: more easily impressed.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Not even that long ago, but anyway, because you know, like.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Last fifteen years, they just look like garbage.
- 13:33Speaker 3: We talked about, you know, not liking open caskets at
- 13:38Speaker 3: funerals because it doesn't even really look like a person.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Like it's in human form. You see it, it looks
- 13:44Speaker 2: like weird. It literally looks like what I see at
- 13:46Speaker 2: the a v NS when they showed me the sex dolls.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Right, yes, yes, yes, yeah, hello. I would say it
- 13:54Speaker 3: has a waxy look, but it is a wax figure.
- 13:56Speaker 2: But I remember a long time ago going to these
- 13:58Speaker 2: dumb wax museums. You take your picture with them and
- 14:02Speaker 2: try to fool your friends. Check it out. Look who
- 14:04Speaker 2: I met. So here here's the story.
- 14:06Speaker 3: The wax figure of Taylor Swift in Ireland is getting
- 14:09Speaker 3: around the clock security to make sure fans don't.
- 14:11Speaker 10: What steal it, steal it do something yeah, sexual positions, Yeah,
- 14:19Speaker 10: to make sure that fans don't rub her boobs with greg.
- 14:26Speaker 5: I think that like the wax figure. Museums are as
- 14:29Speaker 5: big as like the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Like oh here,
- 14:31Speaker 5: like that's a picture of someone's name or that's that
- 14:33Speaker 5: that's them.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Okay, cool.
- 14:35Speaker 4: I've never been in attracted. I've never been inside one.
- 14:37Speaker 4: How big are they?
- 14:38Speaker 2: I mean a lot, They're somewhat big. I went to
- 14:41Speaker 2: the big one in London, Madam Tussot's. I thought it
- 14:44Speaker 2: was awesome at the time, but that was like the nineties, right,
- 14:47Speaker 2: and that they have like Prince Charles and every tourist
- 14:50Speaker 2: trap city hasn't Madam Tusso it's the location now.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Right, and the bad the ones I thought were cool,
- 14:56Speaker 3: we're the ones where the actual celebrity would surprise people
- 14:59Speaker 3: because they'd be standing there. People you know, walk up
- 15:03Speaker 3: to get their picture with it, and all of a sudden,
- 15:05Speaker 3: it's really the wrong.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Just do that at every week time all day if
- 15:09Speaker 2: you want to sell tickets.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Those are not as good as like soldiers coming home
- 15:13Speaker 3: videos or recognizing their.
- 15:16Speaker 4: I saw was the Kevin Hart one where they made
- 15:19Speaker 4: his forehead look crazy big.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Yeah, Greg Gory, what you got? Well as if Catherine
- 15:24Speaker 2: O'Hara dying wasn't sad enough. I didn't know this, but
- 15:28Speaker 2: they were actually considering doing a revival of Shit's Creek
- 15:34Speaker 2: and it was being considered. And then Dan Levy, he
- 15:37Speaker 2: was on CBS Sunday morning and they were actually walking
- 15:40Speaker 2: around a town called Goodwood, Ontario, which is where they
- 15:45Speaker 2: filmed it, and he was asked, would you do a
- 15:47Speaker 2: revival of Shit's Creek? And that's when he admitted, we
- 15:49Speaker 2: were actually considering it, but now obviously we can't. And
- 15:53Speaker 2: that's as simple as he made it. No, you just can't.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Is it really a revival though it's only been off
- 15:58Speaker 2: the air for four or five years? Yes, hasn't even
- 16:00Speaker 2: been that long. And then Catherine O'Hara also on the
- 16:03Speaker 2: show that You Love Men, It's the studio Seth Rogan
- 16:06Speaker 2: says her death will be acknowledged, but he also said
- 16:09Speaker 2: they don't dwell too much on heavy topics like death. Obviously,
- 16:13Speaker 2: So he said, the studio won't ignore the absence of
- 16:15Speaker 2: Catherine O'Hara, but and they will address it, but they
- 16:18Speaker 2: won't dwell on it. But we could have had more
- 16:21Speaker 2: shit's creek, damn and now he can't. Yeah, talking about
- 16:27Speaker 2: death reminds me. So.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Savannah Guthrie showed back up as the anchor on The
- 16:31Speaker 3: Today Show and people are like, I don't know how
- 16:33Speaker 3: she's doing that, but like the thing is like when
- 16:35Speaker 3: people die in your life, you know, like at some
- 16:38Speaker 3: point you have to And I realized that the mom
- 16:41Speaker 3: is missing and they don't have any closure that, yeah
- 16:43Speaker 3: what I'm saying. But like, I think it's I think
- 16:45Speaker 3: it's weird that people are saying anything.
- 16:47Speaker 2: About her showing back up to work. There's been some.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Criticism, not a lot, and people are being supportive and
- 16:53Speaker 3: you know, but like let the woman, let the woman live.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I think not knowing is the harder
- 17:00Speaker 2: than no closure on that your mom just died. Yeah,
- 17:03Speaker 2: but think about the ratings too. I'm sure there's some
- 17:07Speaker 2: producers in the background.
- 17:09Speaker 6: Fearing it to easter like the resurrection, Like she's back.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I'll doid.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, she did admit to some quote disappointment with
- 17:18Speaker 3: God over the disappearance of Damn girl. Well, I mean
- 17:22Speaker 3: I could see where you feel, you know, I could
- 17:23Speaker 3: see where.
- 17:24Speaker 2: You feel that way. Help me out?
- 17:26Speaker 3: Well, like when you know people say, well, if if
- 17:28Speaker 3: God loves everybody, like like, why does he or she?
- 17:34Speaker 3: Why does God allow for suffering and for these awful
- 17:37Speaker 3: things to happen? So, I mean I get that, And
- 17:39Speaker 3: you know what is it and what is it to you?
- 17:41Speaker 3: What Savannah Guthrie does with her time or shows up
- 17:43Speaker 3: to work or what she believed.
- 17:44Speaker 2: And to bear? Did I know that she was on
- 17:46Speaker 2: that show before her mom disappeared?
- 17:48Speaker 7: No?
- 17:48Speaker 5: What Savannah Guthrie the name. I don't watch morning TV
- 17:53Speaker 5: because we're on at the same time. And if you
- 17:55Speaker 5: didn't know, no, I mean I know told me if
- 17:57Speaker 5: you told me six months ago, who's to Fanagrie TV person?
- 18:01Speaker 2: Maybe that's all I wow.
- 18:03Speaker 3: See, for whatever reason, I could tell you like something
- 18:05Speaker 3: like that, But I couldn't tell you about some of
- 18:06Speaker 3: these other celebrities you know. Yeah, I mean I've been
- 18:09Speaker 3: doing morning radio for decades now, and so yeah, I
- 18:12Speaker 3: don't ever watch the Today Show or whatever. I mean,
- 18:15Speaker 3: every once in a while we'll.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Have that something, you would know that she worked on
- 18:17Speaker 4: that Today show.
- 18:18Speaker 2: That's it.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Yeah, Like I want to know segments like did.
- 18:20Speaker 2: She drink wine with other people? I don't know, menace?
- 18:25Speaker 2: What you got? Well, how do you get this job?
- 18:28Speaker 4: So Coachella Music Festivals coming up, and Justin Bieber is
- 18:31Speaker 4: one of the headliners. But they've had some issues in
- 18:34Speaker 4: the past with some of their headliners backing out last minute,
- 18:38Speaker 4: Frank Ocean and or just things going wrong like Kanye
- 18:41Speaker 4: and things like that. So they paid singer Sizza apparently
- 18:47Speaker 4: apparently six figures just to be on standby just in
- 18:51Speaker 4: case of Justin Bieber backed out.
- 18:54Speaker 11: That's a good gig still, but you do have to
- 18:56Speaker 11: have a whole thing ready. You have to be ready
- 18:58Speaker 11: to go at any moments like oh, I'm going to
- 19:00Speaker 11: do this huge performance now.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I'm a singer. I do that all the time.
- 19:05Speaker 5: She was just on tour all last year with Kendrick Lamar,
- 19:08Speaker 5: So she has a stage show ready.
- 19:09Speaker 2: Yeah, she is ready to go.
- 19:11Speaker 4: But you just get paid to like just chill and
- 19:14Speaker 4: is your schedule free?
- 19:16Speaker 2: That's awesome. She should call Justin and say, don't is
- 19:19Speaker 2: that anything?
- 19:20Speaker 3: I know it's that kind of like a way like
- 19:22Speaker 3: a development deal works. When you get a development deal,
- 19:24Speaker 3: like all you have to do is like throw an
- 19:26Speaker 3: idea out every once in a while, but you're getting paid,
- 19:28Speaker 3: like they have you basically on a retainer, right, so
- 19:30Speaker 3: you'd probably understand.
- 19:31Speaker 5: Well, yeah, and that development deal thing, really that's more
- 19:34Speaker 5: of a bygone era now with the whole you know,
- 19:36Speaker 5: they kind of buy things a la carte. But yes,
- 19:38Speaker 5: that was that was the idea, like we're gonna go,
- 19:39Speaker 5: We're gonna give you like guys that like stand ups
- 19:41Speaker 5: and the comedians in the nineties would get like, here's
- 19:43Speaker 5: two hundred fifty thousand dollars for you know whoever Joe
- 19:45Speaker 5: Coy to think about maybe create a sitcom for us,
- 19:49Speaker 5: But you can't go anywhere else while we're doing this.
- 19:51Speaker 2: You're developing for us and be so no matter what
- 19:53Speaker 2: the idea is. Yeah, so this is a thing.
- 19:55Speaker 4: You just had to be free during these times and
- 19:58Speaker 4: being able to perform. And I'll take deal all day.
- 20:01Speaker 4: And then justin Bieber, they say that he's getting paid
- 20:04Speaker 4: ten million for the two weekends.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Wow million.
- 20:08Speaker 4: Yeah, And the funny thing is he's been doing some
- 20:11Speaker 4: like pre shows around Los Angeles and well, no, the
- 20:15Speaker 4: funny part is all these hardcore justin Bieber fans, they
- 20:19Speaker 4: you know, they want all of his hits when he
- 20:21Speaker 4: was a kid, of like you know, baby and things
- 20:24Speaker 4: like that. But no, he's performing the Swag album at
- 20:27Speaker 4: these pre shows and then the same all the all
- 20:32Speaker 4: the basic girls that want the baby songs that are like,
- 20:35Speaker 4: oh now I got to learn this album before he performs.
- 20:37Speaker 2: This is nostalgia. That's why.
- 20:39Speaker 3: I mean, you're now like you know, all that stuff
- 20:41Speaker 3: is the nostalgia stuff. These are grown women now. These
- 20:44Speaker 3: aren't like little girls like clamoring for you know, since
- 20:46Speaker 3: all old I am exactly h space Balls two or
- 20:50Speaker 3: whatever it's going to be called that scheduled to come
- 20:52Speaker 3: out April twenty twenty seven. Oh, afro man, this guy's
- 20:56Speaker 3: living his best life.
- 20:57Speaker 8: Dude.
- 20:57Speaker 3: I love this afromn story. He's got a new album
- 21:00Speaker 3: coming out on the twentieth and fittingly is called Freedom
- 21:03Speaker 3: of Speech Next. I hope it's as good as his
- 21:06Speaker 3: past years.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Didn't come out when we were on break that they're
- 21:08Speaker 4: going after him again.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Or they're like, no, what they were doing is they
- 21:11Speaker 3: submitted about that they submitted something where there was the
- 21:14Speaker 3: prosecution's attorneys or whatever the prosecution was filing for information
- 21:18Speaker 3: about the jurors. And there was also another thing with
- 21:21Speaker 3: that Afroman case where the judge apparently apparently right after
- 21:27Speaker 3: the verdict happened or whatever, pulled the jurors in and go, well,
- 21:30Speaker 3: why did you guys rule that way?
- 21:32Speaker 2: Really?
- 21:33Speaker 3: Yeah, So clearly he was on the case of like
- 21:35Speaker 3: Officer pound Cake and that's.
- 21:38Speaker 12: Why them and pound Cake guy, that's why I made
- 21:41Speaker 12: the argument that he should move because they're just gonna
- 21:44Speaker 12: be constantly out.
- 21:45Speaker 5: They're gonna be out for Yeah, then he's gonna chart.
- 21:47Speaker 5: Then he's gonna assume to sue them for harassment.
- 21:49Speaker 2: And yeah.
- 21:51Speaker 3: So just a couple of little things going on there.
- 21:53Speaker 3: We got the birthday and birthday here on this Tuesday show.
- 22:01Speaker 3: We're gonna shiver, David gonna sh and you know you
- 22:07Speaker 3: don't do and a happy birthday to Russell Crowe who
- 22:12Speaker 3: is sixty two years old today. You got Jackie Chan
- 22:15Speaker 3: who's seventy two. WWE commentator David Otunga, you know who
- 22:21Speaker 3: that is for, David O'tunga.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Yeah, David o'tanga.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Yeah, he was a wrestler with Nexus yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Forty six real lawyer.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Oh here, speaking of lawyers, Christopher Darden, the LA prosecutor
- 22:34Speaker 3: who failed to convict O. J. Simpson seventy years old today.
- 22:37Speaker 6: Nice, Yeah, innocent.
- 22:40Speaker 3: So you got Buster Douglas who knocked out Mike Tyson
- 22:43Speaker 3: to the title in nineteen ninety. He's sixty six today.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Bill Bellamy, formerly of MTV. He is credited for coining
- 22:51Speaker 3: the phrase booty.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Call yep, I didn't know that. It's a fun fact.
- 22:55Speaker 2: We had a movie called booty Call. Yeah. Oh, I
- 22:59Speaker 2: had another fun fact.
- 23:00Speaker 3: So Paul Rubens never got to be on Johnny Carson's
- 23:03Speaker 3: Tonight Show because he was only appearing in character as
- 23:06Speaker 3: Pee Wee. Herman and Johnny had a rule about that,
- 23:09Speaker 3: like he can't appear in character, so they never got
- 23:12Speaker 3: to be on.
- 23:12Speaker 2: That's weird. Yeah, so he wouldn't let pee Wee come on. Yes,
- 23:17Speaker 2: so therefore he would have to have Paul Rubens. Paul
- 23:19Speaker 2: Rubens was only doing appearances as Pee Wee. That's probably
- 23:22Speaker 2: why Andy Kaufman only went on Letterman.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Oh, that makes sense, Like he wouldn't have been able
- 23:27Speaker 3: to have like, you know, Sasha Baron.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Cohen if he was just doing them.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Yeah, And then Francis Ford Copple is eighty seven, the
- 23:35Speaker 3: legendary director Godfather and Apocalypse Down. And then Your Porno
- 23:39Speaker 3: Birthday Today is Sophia Locke in Today's Birthday Girl. She
- 23:42Speaker 3: spent more time on her knees than a gardener five
- 23:46Speaker 3: hundred and eleven fine films, including into the Filthy Verse
- 23:50Speaker 3: parts one and two. She was in anal about piano lessons.
- 23:54Speaker 3: I mean you can get really in the piano. She
- 23:57Speaker 3: was in Stoked to Stroke. Also watching our mom go black.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Oh no, that our stepmom is banging someone. Let's listen, Yeah,
- 24:07Speaker 3: let's I would listen see bash. She was in Condoms
- 24:11Speaker 3: are for girlfriends, not stepmoms, Ben saying, And then who
- 24:15Speaker 3: can forget her unfreetom role in ten inch Mutant Ninja
- 24:18Speaker 3: Turtle as Sophia Locke, who's forty one years old today
- 24:24Speaker 3: metroporna birthday, your celebrity birthdays and that is a little
- 24:28Speaker 3: look what's happening around the world of entertainment. You're on
- 24:31Speaker 3: the Woody Show.
- 24:32Speaker 6: Woody Show.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Welcome back, everybody. It is the Woody Show. It's Tuesday.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Today's a world health take right. I will join Actually,
- 24:46Speaker 2: I am I do have a doctor's appointment. Do you
- 24:49Speaker 2: really dermatologist? Oh? Only chicks go there.
- 24:52Speaker 3: I was just thinking about making my very first ever
- 24:59Speaker 3: appointment at dermatologist.
- 25:00Speaker 2: I have one to recommend for you, very thorough. They're
- 25:04Speaker 2: two thorough. So I told you this is the one
- 25:06Speaker 2: that looked at my butt cheeks, right inside everywhere.
- 25:10Speaker 3: Here's here's the thing about these dermatologists. I'm realizing as
- 25:14Speaker 3: I'm trying to get an appointment.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Good luck. Oh it takes months to get an appointment.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Why is there like any kind of like you for
- 25:22Speaker 3: every other doctor there is? Isn't there like a.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Walk into dude? I don't know about my place. The
- 25:31Speaker 2: appointment I have today I made probably four months ago,
- 25:34Speaker 2: and this was rescheduled because the doctor had some sort
- 25:38Speaker 2: of emergency and had to reschedule forever. Yeah.
- 25:42Speaker 3: And then when I go to make an appointment, because
- 25:44Speaker 3: they have, you know, offices in different places, and the
- 25:46Speaker 3: ones that closes my house, I go, I go, all right,
- 25:49Speaker 3: well what about Thursday the whatever? They go, Oh, yeah,
- 25:52Speaker 3: the office is closed that day. The office it's closed
- 25:55Speaker 3: more than my kids school. Yeah, it's closed this day.
- 25:57Speaker 3: It's closed. Like when do you work?
- 25:59Speaker 2: Same thing? With colon ask scheduled one of those eight
- 26:02Speaker 2: months in advance.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Basically, I had no problem doing that one that one.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Greg.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Today is also National Girl Me to Day. It's International
- 26:15Speaker 3: Beaver Day. It's make the First move Day. Here you go, see.
- 26:20Speaker 3: Bas Today is Motherhood and.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Beauty Day because all mothers are beautiful.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Also, National Beer Day is today. It's National No Housework Day. Menace,
- 26:29Speaker 3: It's National Pet Health Insurance Day. One of our most
- 26:33Speaker 3: frequently asked questions. Menace talks about the pet insurance that
- 26:37Speaker 3: he's got for his two.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Dogs, telling you it is legit and you should get it.
- 26:44Speaker 2: It's called healthy Pause healthy people.
- 26:48Speaker 4: You're gonna like, I don't know, you're gonna thank you later,
- 26:51Speaker 4: because you're gonna get hit with like a giant bill
- 26:53Speaker 4: and they cover a lot of it. But eventually, and
- 26:55Speaker 4: I'll tell you, as your dog gets older or your
- 26:58Speaker 4: pet gets older amps up, it does become pretty expensive.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Because we got to renew it every year.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, goes and goes up and up and up
- 27:06Speaker 3: and upct You're locked in like a term life insurance.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Ye.
- 27:10Speaker 4: But I'll tell you last year I had a forty
- 27:13Speaker 4: thousand dollars bill, damn, because my dog is going through
- 27:17Speaker 4: cancer treatment and they covered most of it.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Wow, what's it called again? Healthy posture? I mean you cans.
- 27:24Speaker 4: I mean I do recommend it when you they're a puppy,
- 27:26Speaker 4: but you can't get them still get it as like
- 27:30Speaker 4: an older pat.
- 27:30Speaker 3: At the At some point you have to start making
- 27:32Speaker 3: that calculation right about like how the people they put
- 27:35Speaker 3: them in hospice, like all right, just make them care,
- 27:37Speaker 3: right Like, at some point you have to make that
- 27:39Speaker 3: determination about okay, forty thousand dollars. And it depends on
- 27:43Speaker 3: how old the dog is, Like if it's a little puppy, right,
- 27:46Speaker 3: that could be different than if your dog is ten
- 27:49Speaker 3: years old, you're twelve years old. I know it sucks
- 27:51Speaker 3: to even think about that, but yeah, yeah, I'll tell
- 27:54Speaker 3: you his National Coffee Cake Day. And guys, that's why
- 27:58Speaker 3: we have such a celebration of going here in the studio.
- 28:00Speaker 3: We got cakes, we got streamers and everything else. It's
- 28:03Speaker 3: International Day of Reflection on the Genocide in Rwanda Day.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Yeah, so that's what that's what we're doing today. I'm
- 28:10Speaker 3: sure you guys all got your invites for our party.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Yes, Eddy, after the show show.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Well into another new hour wood he Greg Menace, Gina
- 28:23Speaker 3: Grant Sea Bass, We've got Sammy Morgan's here yep phones
- 28:28Speaker 3: open eight seven seven forty four Woody text to nine
- 28:32Speaker 3: eight seven. Read about this guy in the Philippines. He's
- 28:35Speaker 3: sixty five years old. His name is Rubin a Nausee
- 28:40Speaker 3: and he has nailed himself to a cross on Good
- 28:44Speaker 3: Friday for.
- 28:45Speaker 2: The last time.
- 28:46Speaker 3: Oh he has done this for thirty seven years in
- 28:50Speaker 3: a row. And this was his uh, his swan song.
- 28:55Speaker 3: This was his final Easter nailing himself to a cross.
- 28:59Speaker 4: I feel like I saw more people on across this
- 29:02Speaker 4: year than ever. What yeah, like popped up on social media.
- 29:05Speaker 2: I've seen it.
- 29:07Speaker 6: I seen multiple videos.
- 29:09Speaker 12: Right like people nailing themselves like with holes in their hands.
- 29:12Speaker 6: I saw a guy falling off across.
- 29:13Speaker 2: More so this year than.
- 29:17Speaker 4: Maneah, I'm saying, I keep on saying, jac is up
- 29:20Speaker 4: big time. And uh, I don't know why, but I
- 29:22Speaker 4: got flooded this year with a ton of guys.
- 29:26Speaker 3: I've never seen that one first. It depicted in a
- 29:29Speaker 3: like a movie Passion of the Christ.
- 29:32Speaker 6: There you go in these videos?
- 29:35Speaker 2: Where are they just in their backyard? Random?
- 29:37Speaker 4: Is just like everywhere church? Yeah, churches yeah, something in
- 29:42Speaker 4: their back. Some that like some gathering.
- 29:45Speaker 2: It was like a public square or something like that,
- 29:48Speaker 2: where this rub guy thirty seven years in a row
- 29:51Speaker 2: of nailing himself to a cross on Easter.
- 29:54Speaker 3: He did pass this year on the traditional whipping. Oh
- 29:58Speaker 3: just less fun, especially on your last year.
- 30:01Speaker 2: I think you go all out exactly up there, right
- 30:04Speaker 2: and with fireworks and.
- 30:07Speaker 12: Holes like he's got to hands and stuff, you know,
- 30:09Speaker 12: at least like when you when you take your earrings
- 30:12Speaker 12: out and you can still stretch it if you wanted to,
- 30:15Speaker 12: So I would think.
- 30:15Speaker 3: It would make it easier in subsequent years, like okay,
- 30:18Speaker 3: you know holes, Yeah, you put the Yeah, you put
- 30:21Speaker 3: the hole through the hand, and you do something that
- 30:23Speaker 3: keeps it open long enough so that you know you
- 30:25Speaker 3: can you can still do it again next year and
- 30:28Speaker 3: it's not re traumatizing like a.
- 30:31Speaker 7: Gauge that people have in their ear pretty much.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 30:35Speaker 4: Well it goes back to those people that like hang
- 30:37Speaker 4: from stuff. You know, I'm sure they have like holes
- 30:40Speaker 4: in their back that they.
- 30:41Speaker 3: Just so he's like a body that I've seen sexual gratification.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Remember what was the show on HBO years ago? Real
- 30:48Speaker 3: Sex And they would get into some of these freaks.
- 30:52Speaker 3: It was freaking the week before Freak of the Week,
- 30:54Speaker 3: and these people would like hang themselves from like big
- 30:58Speaker 3: meat hooks, Like yeah, you can see like the sides
- 31:01Speaker 3: of beef that Rocky was punching, except they were hanging
- 31:04Speaker 3: themselves from the ceiling.
- 31:05Speaker 2: How could you get turned on doing that? Just so sexual?
- 31:12Speaker 2: That's weird. Now, if I was a devout believer and
- 31:15Speaker 2: wanted to nail myself to a cross, let's say, in
- 31:17Speaker 2: a public square, how is that legal? I don't see
- 31:19Speaker 2: how anybody will allowed you to do that, would I mean?
- 31:23Speaker 3: Think about like think about the body modifications. And look
- 31:27Speaker 3: at what about that guy we just had recently, the
- 31:29Speaker 3: fail story about the dude he had all the stuff.
- 31:32Speaker 2: He removed his nose, removed his ears, like they let
- 31:35Speaker 2: people do. They let people do stuff like that.
- 31:38Speaker 4: If you're going out to a random park and you're
- 31:40Speaker 4: nailing yourself to a cross, like I mean, unless somebody
- 31:43Speaker 4: calls the police, no one's gonna run.
- 31:45Speaker 2: You can do anything you want. Like if I wanted
- 31:47Speaker 2: to have my wien removed and be a woman, I
- 31:49Speaker 2: could do that out in the normal world. You light
- 31:52Speaker 2: a cigarette, you get arrested, You uh, have a beer
- 31:56Speaker 2: in public, you get arrested.
- 31:57Speaker 12: But if you have a beer in public, for Jesus,
- 32:00Speaker 12: because it could be a religious say that.
- 32:01Speaker 3: Yeah. I just got sent this post a couple of
- 32:06Speaker 3: days ago, and it's been six years since the COVID
- 32:11Speaker 3: lockdown stuff, and it was like, hey remember this, Hey
- 32:14Speaker 3: remember that all the stuff that we were doing, Oh yeah,
- 32:16Speaker 3: it looks so silly.
- 32:18Speaker 2: It was like there.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Was a guy who had like a like a you know,
- 32:23Speaker 3: kitchen sponge held over his nose and mouth with like
- 32:27Speaker 3: a rubber band and that was going to keep him
- 32:29Speaker 3: from you know, like his people are doing makeshift stuff
- 32:31Speaker 3: because they couldn't get masks and things that. Yeah, it
- 32:35Speaker 3: was just interesting, like all these things. There was a
- 32:36Speaker 3: picture of a couple of cops taking a guy out
- 32:39Speaker 3: of the ocean.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah alone.
- 32:42Speaker 3: There's nobody, there's nobody, but like we're arresting people for
- 32:47Speaker 3: going in the ocean.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Yeah, people running alone with masks on. Oh yeah outside.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Yeah, people wiping down mail, all this all this crazy stuff.
- 32:56Speaker 2: I mean we didn't know, I guess at the time.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Yeah, first when it when when it first came out,
- 33:01Speaker 3: and then everybody just kind.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Of dragged it out and we have wait too long
- 33:03Speaker 2: before I do about a special tool just to open doors.
- 33:06Speaker 5: Oh that's right, Yeah, yeah, those were all there, the
- 33:11Speaker 5: COVID version of that tool that people keeping their car
- 33:13Speaker 5: they can use to break the window out and cut
- 33:15Speaker 5: the seat belt.
- 33:16Speaker 12: Yep, it pushes the elevator button and opens the door.
- 33:20Speaker 2: I remember that they're still using that, right yeah, Oh
- 33:23Speaker 2: for sure, you could use it for a lot of things. Yeah,
- 33:25Speaker 2: and now we're back to nailing ourselves on cross in
- 33:28Speaker 2: the public. Yeah.
- 33:29Speaker 3: I'm saying, like, you know, it is You're right, it's
- 33:33Speaker 3: you could do like some kind of weird I mean,
- 33:34Speaker 3: I guess it's consensual, but you know, you're nailing some
- 33:36Speaker 3: guy to a cross.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Just seems that wouldn't be allowed, you.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Know, for an Easter celebration, right, and you know on
- 33:42Speaker 3: a kind of easter.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Yeah, well he's being whipped.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Yeah. But then other things, you're right, you'll get like
- 33:49Speaker 3: a ticket or yeah.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Sure, yeah, try to have a beer at the park. Luck.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Ye is the phone number you can hit us up
- 33:58Speaker 3: with the text over to two to nine eight seven.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Gina Grad's gonna have our trending news headlines coming up
- 34:03Speaker 3: for us next.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Hang on call late seven seven forty four.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Woody up.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Where you came out up because you're gonna live an
- 34:14Speaker 2: eternal life and.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Hell show no Woody show text in two two nine.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Eight seven late forty four.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Way, you know, if you want to be part of
- 34:29Speaker 3: the show, you can do that. We go over to
- 34:31Speaker 3: Gina Grad who's got the trending news headlines.
- 34:34Speaker 12: Yeah, Well, the men's college basketball season is officially over
- 34:37Speaker 12: and for the first time in thirty seven years, Michigan
- 34:40Speaker 12: is your national champion. They held off Yukon to win
- 34:44Speaker 12: sixty nine to sixty three. But what's wild is Michigan
- 34:47Speaker 12: couldn't hit their three point shots for anything. They only
- 34:50Speaker 12: made thirteen percent of them all night. But they made
- 34:53Speaker 12: their free throws and played strong defense, which ended up
- 34:56Speaker 12: making a big difference. It was a close game the
- 34:58Speaker 12: whole way, and Yukon just could not catch up. So
- 35:02Speaker 12: now that's over and we turn our attention to the
- 35:04Speaker 12: top players heading to the NBA Draft in June, and
- 35:08Speaker 12: the Artemis two mission is still going strong. The crew
- 35:11Speaker 12: just compete, completed their lunar flyby, and even set a
- 35:15Speaker 12: new record for the farthest distance humans have ever traveled from.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Earth it's so cool, right, But does it?
- 35:20Speaker 12: I hate to be a nacaer, But don't you feel
- 35:22Speaker 12: like that'd be farther by now, Like weren't we in
- 35:24Speaker 12: a new galaxy.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Just from going around the Moon? Yeah, no, I wouldn't.
- 35:29Speaker 2: I think, you know what, I'm very happy for that.
- 35:33Speaker 3: I'm saying for manned like just you've sent plenty of
- 35:36Speaker 3: things Mars and things and things like that.
- 35:39Speaker 2: It's been watching too much. Start they're people.
- 35:42Speaker 3: But I thought it was very cool. I thought was
- 35:44Speaker 3: very touching. Is they were basically mapping like parts of
- 35:48Speaker 3: the Moon they had not seen before, these craters and
- 35:50Speaker 3: things that they've seen, and they made a request to.
- 35:55Speaker 2: Name one of them.
- 35:57Speaker 3: I think the commander he had a really brutal wretch
- 36:00Speaker 3: from the time that he got picked for this mission
- 36:02Speaker 3: until now. His mom died and then a month later
- 36:07Speaker 3: his wife died of cancer, and so he this is
- 36:10Speaker 3: all while he's doing the training for this mission. So
- 36:13Speaker 3: then six years now, after his wife died, the other
- 36:19Speaker 3: crew members they requested down to mission control to name
- 36:23Speaker 3: this crator it was like a bright spot on the
- 36:26Speaker 3: dark side of the Moon.
- 36:27Speaker 2: To name it Carol after his wife. I thought that
- 36:30Speaker 2: was super nice, you know it was. It's just interesting.
- 36:33Speaker 3: And you know, when there's so much there's so much negativity,
- 36:38Speaker 3: and there's there's so much there's like a lack of
- 36:40Speaker 3: humanity in so many ways, and you see it on
- 36:42Speaker 3: every everything that you're scrolling through in the news, like
- 36:45Speaker 3: watching because I was watching the video of them calling
- 36:47Speaker 3: down to you know, mission control, whoever does a NASA
- 36:50Speaker 3: to do this, and it's like, man, this is excuse me,
- 36:53Speaker 3: this is this is a really nice thing, like the
- 36:56Speaker 3: let's let's see it'd be nice to see some more
- 36:58Speaker 3: of this kind of stuff, have some good news. Yeah,
- 37:01Speaker 3: it was just touching. I don't know any other word
- 37:04Speaker 3: to use, but it's a pretty cool.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Second place to that, would he in the touching news
- 37:09Speaker 2: categories that I have that star named after me, that's.
- 37:14Speaker 4: Exactly super close to that whole right, you and Carol
- 37:18Speaker 4: hanging out together.
- 37:19Speaker 3: It was NASA that sold that, right or NASA orchestrated
- 37:23Speaker 3: random company with an eight hundred number.
- 37:25Speaker 2: It was of NASA Star naming company.
- 37:28Speaker 3: The Star Registry.
- 37:29Speaker 2: You remember those commercials with Greg Do you remember those commercials?
- 37:32Speaker 3: Of course, you remember those commercials Morgan or is that
- 37:35Speaker 3: like after.
- 37:36Speaker 11: No I remember because they've done that with a few
- 37:38Speaker 11: different things, right, like you can name the animal at
- 37:40Speaker 11: the zoo.
- 37:41Speaker 3: My point is, what's to stop me from creating a
- 37:44Speaker 3: website saying what he.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Does not want me to have my jealous jealous to
- 37:52Speaker 2: answer your question? What do you know? That's that's my point.
- 37:55Speaker 3: That so it's amazing to me that anybody ever gave
- 37:58Speaker 3: their money to someone and thinking, you know.
- 38:02Speaker 2: We've been working harder, not smarter.
- 38:04Speaker 6: It's a smart business plan.
- 38:05Speaker 3: Yeah, sure right, because you have no inventory. There's nothing in.
- 38:11Speaker 12: Amount of stars, and most of them are already.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Dead, right like you you have, you have nothing. It's
- 38:18Speaker 3: it's very sweet, right, yeah, it's very very I wish
- 38:21Speaker 3: I had a start too. I could have one. I
- 38:25Speaker 3: could open up my window and just pointed to something.
- 38:28Speaker 2: That's it. That's the I don't have to pay anybody
- 38:30Speaker 2: for the official star industry, I think then, isn't remember
- 38:34Speaker 2: there's one like you can buy a patch of land
- 38:36Speaker 2: in Scotland that's like an inch by. I own a
- 38:39Speaker 2: square star and a square.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Greg did you ever get one of those giant greeting
- 38:45Speaker 3: cards that people would buy from gas stations for Valentine's Day?
- 38:48Speaker 2: Never?
- 38:49Speaker 11: Once I got one year and she got so mad
- 38:52Speaker 11: at me for wasting money.
- 38:54Speaker 2: But Medis and I did this thing with was it
- 38:57Speaker 2: Jamison or Guinness, I can't remember which. They gave us
- 39:00Speaker 2: a square inch of Ireland.
- 39:01Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, we on Ireland.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys, I'm a star owner. You can come
- 39:09Speaker 2: visit sometimes. You have dual citizenship. Now, Greg, I don't want.
- 39:12Speaker 4: To be a negative Nancy, and you know I love you,
- 39:14Speaker 4: but I did just check and know NASA does not
- 39:18Speaker 4: recognize star red Street or that name.
- 39:21Speaker 2: A star conspiracy. They put that on there to make
- 39:26Speaker 2: you think they.
- 39:27Speaker 3: When you heard the commercials, it made it seem like
- 39:30Speaker 3: this star like everybody would like if you ever looked
- 39:32Speaker 3: up and you did some research into it, to go,
- 39:34Speaker 3: oh that's the gory star, right, you know. But I
- 39:39Speaker 3: just want to let you know, Greg, do your Skyfinder
- 39:41Speaker 3: app on your there's the Yeah, well we got the
- 39:47Speaker 3: Carol Crater and the Greg Star.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Yeah that's all that matters. I get it. You're jealous.
- 39:51Speaker 12: Today is Today is the deadline for Iran to open
- 39:54Speaker 12: up the Straight of Horror moves and as of yesterday, no,
- 39:56Speaker 12: they're not having it. What really happens from this point
- 39:59Speaker 12: who oh. But the threat is that if they don't
- 40:02Speaker 12: meet the deadline, there will be a four hour attack
- 40:05Speaker 12: to quote decimate every single every single bridge in the country,
- 40:09Speaker 12: threats which Iran calls baseless and delusional. So we'll see
- 40:14Speaker 12: who wins that one. And there's a teenager from Australia
- 40:17Speaker 12: in the news. Well, their pie got bit by a shark.
- 40:21Speaker 2: So he was, this is crazy.
- 40:23Speaker 12: He was out surfing about one hundred yards off shore
- 40:25Speaker 12: when a shark bit him on the heel and started
- 40:27Speaker 12: tugging him off a surfboard. He said, yeah, tugging him
- 40:30Speaker 12: off on his surfboard. He said, the shark came behind
- 40:33Speaker 12: off and after a bit him, he just, you know,
- 40:38Speaker 12: he just flicked it off like you do when a
- 40:39Speaker 12: crab bites your foot.
- 40:40Speaker 2: He said. He's very casual about the whole thing. The
- 40:43Speaker 2: shark let Australian. Yeah, yeah, he just legged it back
- 40:48Speaker 2: to shore. He said. The kid is doing well.
- 40:51Speaker 12: He's expected to make a full recovery and said that
- 40:53Speaker 12: he's only hoping to be out for two weeks so
- 40:55Speaker 12: he can, you know, get back to surfaces.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Yes, here's his injury. No, I mean, wow, you did
- 41:00Speaker 3: get attacked by a shark. But if I walk away,
- 41:04Speaker 3: but this is my injury, that's the worst I had
- 41:06Speaker 3: the show from getting attacked by a shark, by a.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Dog or something like that, you'll still get to say
- 41:12Speaker 2: I was attacked by I know. That's pretty cool. Thank you. Wow,
- 41:17Speaker 2: I can What are some of the other like really
- 41:20Speaker 2: tacky gifts because I'm thinking, like, remember those roses that
- 41:24Speaker 2: were like dipped in gold. Yeah, like.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Crystal roses you'll see at the mall and stuff, or
- 41:32Speaker 4: the crystals that you have like the picture inside of them.
- 41:35Speaker 2: Do you see that?
- 41:38Speaker 3: Yeah, you can Teddy Bear holding the rose or I
- 41:42Speaker 3: don't know.
- 41:42Speaker 12: I'm sure you galls get this on Instagram too. It's
- 41:45Speaker 12: it's these little lockets and you have to put a
- 41:47Speaker 12: magnifying glass into it and then it's your family inside.
- 41:51Speaker 6: What I have, But you can't even see the damn picture.
- 41:54Speaker 3: What about those ones are like the heart lockets where
- 41:56Speaker 3: you have one half and the other person has the
- 41:58Speaker 3: other house cool?
- 42:00Speaker 9: Great.
- 42:01Speaker 2: I used to think I used to think edible arrangements
- 42:04Speaker 2: for tacky, but they're kind of good. But once you
- 42:06Speaker 2: get one, you're like, arrange the dumbest. It's kind of
- 42:10Speaker 2: better than flowers. They don't die well and you can
- 42:13Speaker 2: eat them. And who eats fruit? But if it's cutting
- 42:16Speaker 2: like a fun shape, right, and some are dipped in chocolate.
- 42:20Speaker 3: One edible arrangements is always one of those places, like
- 42:24Speaker 3: I wonder how they stayed in business, Like they have
- 42:26Speaker 3: enough business to stay in business. That wouldn't it be funny?
- 42:30Speaker 3: Like if you send it to a funeral instead of flowers.
- 42:32Speaker 2: You set the edible arrange. You just put that up there.
- 42:36Speaker 3: Some trend to be honest, though, that could be our
- 42:42Speaker 3: thing when we hear that somebody dies when you send
- 42:43Speaker 3: like an edible range.
- 42:46Speaker 2: That is a good question. When you just stand out
- 42:48Speaker 2: get a lot of attention.
- 42:49Speaker 4: We work in a building with hundreds of people. You
- 42:51Speaker 4: think there would be more edible arrangements that would show.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Up, right, So like you, I don't.
- 42:56Speaker 3: I don't hate fruit, and this is nothing against them.
- 42:58Speaker 3: I have none against I. I know a lot of
- 43:00Speaker 3: people really love it. I just it's one of the
- 43:01Speaker 3: things that I just never really got, like is there
- 43:04Speaker 3: enough of a demand.
- 43:06Speaker 2: It's a great idea, like instead of flowers, why don't
- 43:08Speaker 2: we send watermelon? And Joey Like that's genie that looks
- 43:12Speaker 2: like a flower. Yeah, it's amazing. We could put it
- 43:14Speaker 2: on the easel at the funerals.
- 43:17Speaker 12: Well, the Late Show is Stephen Colbert is going to
- 43:19Speaker 12: finish up next month, and now we know what the
- 43:21Speaker 12: replacement's going to be. CBS is going to team up
- 43:24Speaker 12: with comedian and media mogul Byron Allen and air back
- 43:27Speaker 12: to back episodes of his comics Unleashed show starting next season.
- 43:30Speaker 12: The first episode that's gonna premiere in late May, and
- 43:32Speaker 12: they're going to feature Tiffany Hattish, Nate Bargatzi, Sebastian Manescalco,
- 43:37Speaker 12: and Gabriel Iglesias. And on top of that, Alan's other
- 43:41Speaker 12: show called Funny You should ask, that'll be airing back
- 43:43Speaker 12: to back episodes after that at twelve thirty five.
- 43:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it doesn't matter. I mean, nobody's watching any of
- 43:47Speaker 3: that stuff.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Yeah, well I think that's like play you know anything.
- 43:51Speaker 4: I know all the names that you just name, except
- 43:55Speaker 4: for Byron, who's Byron whole life.
- 44:00Speaker 2: He's shockingly loaded. Yes, I mean he's like a bagillionaire, right. Yeah,
- 44:05Speaker 2: if you saw him, you would recognize him. Yeah, you
- 44:07Speaker 2: have late night shows like since we were kids.
- 44:09Speaker 12: He shows that you didn't even know have owners. He
- 44:11Speaker 12: owns like he's very, very very rich.
- 44:14Speaker 3: Well, I was just reading this whole talking about how
- 44:16Speaker 3: things change, and even back in the day, I understood
- 44:19Speaker 3: people would watch the eleven o'clock news and they would
- 44:22Speaker 3: might maybe kind of stumble as they're like, they watched
- 44:24Speaker 3: the eleven o'clock news, and as they're getting ready for bed,
- 44:27Speaker 3: you know, the late night show would be on, you
- 44:29Speaker 3: know whoever you were into Letterman or Leto or any
- 44:32Speaker 3: of those guys. But then as things shifted, like how
- 44:36Speaker 3: many people are up at eleven thirty at night, like
- 44:38Speaker 3: on a week night, school.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Nights and specifically to get their news?
- 44:40Speaker 3: Yeah, so how many people are even still up at
- 44:43Speaker 3: that point because you got an early morning and whatever?
- 44:45Speaker 2: Okay, so there's that.
- 44:46Speaker 3: Then I was just reading this article about the massive
- 44:49Speaker 3: shift and how like the local TV news used to
- 44:54Speaker 3: be just the big money maker for all these TV
- 44:58Speaker 3: stations and it's no longer the thing because I forget
- 45:00Speaker 3: what percentage of the viewership now comes from streaming, right,
- 45:05Speaker 3: So they're not even what so they if you notice,
- 45:07Speaker 3: they'll have on the on the TV the four o'clock,
- 45:10Speaker 3: five o'clock, six o'clock, seven, you know whatever clock news
- 45:13Speaker 3: and then it goes eleven o'clock.
- 45:15Speaker 2: So they're now cutting.
- 45:18Speaker 3: They're making big cuts because the audience just isn't there
- 45:20Speaker 3: because things have shifted the way that people get news
- 45:22Speaker 3: and consume the news.
- 45:24Speaker 4: It's just like fifteen minutes and then it just recycles.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Over and over.
- 45:27Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't need seven newscasts starting at four pm. Yeah, yeah,
- 45:31Speaker 3: you know, people aren't tuning in for the eleven o'clock
- 45:34Speaker 3: news to know what's happening because the eleven o'clock news
- 45:37Speaker 3: is in your pocket.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Yeah you know. Yeah, it's better off this way. Yeah.
- 45:42Speaker 3: So whatever they put at eleven thirty, I mean, who's
- 45:44Speaker 3: doesn't matter. Who's who's gonna be there to watch?
- 45:46Speaker 2: Dude. So I got I got to check this out.
- 45:49Speaker 4: But our friend Charlimine that God was just talking about
- 45:52Speaker 4: speaking about Late Night he helped put out our senior
- 45:55Speaker 4: Hall's new book, was talking about it, and I didn't
- 45:58Speaker 4: realize this, but our Sidneil, his show was completely independent.
- 46:02Speaker 4: It wasn't backed by any network, so it was just
- 46:04Speaker 4: sold to like all these random networks.
- 46:06Speaker 2: Oh really, yeah, because I.
- 46:08Speaker 4: Always thought it was like part of Fox Network, but no,
- 46:11Speaker 4: he just like kind of just produced it and did
- 46:13Speaker 4: it on his own.
- 46:14Speaker 3: Well, it was super successful, so he had to.
- 46:16Speaker 2: Make a bunch of money because he was the guyund
- 46:19Speaker 2: to that show. Loved it.
- 46:21Speaker 12: And finally, Starbucks says it's rolling out a new performance
- 46:24Speaker 12: bonus for baristas and managers that could add up to
- 46:26Speaker 12: twelve hundred bucks a year. But to get the bonus,
- 46:29Speaker 12: they have to serve customers faster, keep the stores running smoothly,
- 46:32Speaker 12: do a better job with drive up sales, and people
- 46:34Speaker 12: online are pointing out.
- 46:35Speaker 2: That that's already part of the job.
- 46:37Speaker 12: Plus, Starbucks says it can't actually fully fund these bonuses.
- 46:41Speaker 12: So Greg, you're gonna be so excited about this. Starting
- 46:43Speaker 12: in July, customers will be able to tip baristas.
- 46:45Speaker 2: In the app, not just in store.
- 46:48Speaker 12: Yes, employees are skeptical on that one too. Some employees
- 46:51Speaker 12: say the goals are always hard to hit, and then
- 46:53Speaker 12: when you do hit them, it just becomes the norm,
- 46:56Speaker 12: and Starbucks will just move the goalpost farther away. I
- 46:58Speaker 12: think that's just corporate America in general.
- 47:00Speaker 8: Right.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Isn't that the idea of a goal?
- 47:02Speaker 1: Right?
- 47:02Speaker 8: Right?
- 47:03Speaker 3: So like if you reach that goal, then it's like
- 47:05Speaker 3: charity charity things each year, right, Like, Okay, so our
- 47:08Speaker 3: goal this year is to raise one hundred thousand dollars.
- 47:11Speaker 3: You reach one hundred thousand dollars this year, so next
- 47:13Speaker 3: year they're gonna sayh we're gonna try to raise thirty thousand, right, yeah,
- 47:17Speaker 3: because you're trying to They're trying to increase the revenue
- 47:19Speaker 3: every year.
- 47:19Speaker 11: So I don't believe it they can afford it. Because
- 47:21Speaker 11: I got a macha from them with protein added.
- 47:24Speaker 2: That thing was like twelve dollars.
- 47:26Speaker 3: Serious, Yeah, well you know the war.
- 47:28Speaker 2: And I ran.
- 47:31Speaker 4: Yeah, dude, I tried to order a sandwich from downstairs
- 47:37Speaker 4: from that place and it was thirty seven dollars for
- 47:42Speaker 4: a sandwich.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Is a turkey sandwich? Sandwich?
- 47:47Speaker 4: I'll be honest, Okay it was. It was a Turkey
- 47:49Speaker 4: sandwich with a side of fries. Thirty seven dollars total.
- 47:51Speaker 2: Wow for pickup. That's I was going to say, were
- 47:54Speaker 2: they delivering it?
- 47:55Speaker 3: Your big reveal of honesty was that it was a
- 47:58Speaker 3: turkey sandwich. No, no, honest, it was a turkey sandwich.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Okay, I I lied. There was fries on the side. Sandwich.
- 48:07Speaker 2: It wasn't just a sandwich. You guys have been holding back. Yeah,
- 48:10Speaker 2: I ordered fries is that gay or something like I
- 48:14Speaker 2: thought you're gonna say, like, I lie, it was qua.
- 48:18Speaker 5: It wasn't.
- 48:19Speaker 2: It wasn't solely the sandwich drink to or No, the
- 48:26Speaker 2: time has come thirty seven bus. I feel like this
- 48:28Speaker 2: is more for.
- 48:29Speaker 3: People who the next step would be drinking hand sanitize.
- 48:33Speaker 2: No, Woody show, I welcome back.
- 48:37Speaker 3: And sometimes that perspective that you need. You know, people
- 48:42Speaker 3: sometimes just slipt themselves. Uh you know where those weighted
- 48:46Speaker 3: boots that keep dragging them down, dragging them down. You
- 48:49Speaker 3: gotta go, hey, you know what, it's not that bad,
- 48:53Speaker 3: not that bad. Other people got got it way wards.
- 48:55Speaker 3: We got this after hours. Voicemailed and I apologize it's
- 48:58Speaker 3: a little long, but listen.
- 48:59Speaker 2: To what this have to do.
- 49:00Speaker 9: All right, Hey, Woody catching up to the podcast, and
- 49:03Speaker 9: you guys have talked about this before. Worst nightmare, Menace
- 49:06Speaker 9: greg Right is going to the hospital having a catheter
- 49:09Speaker 9: in Well. I unfortunately lived your worst nightmare a few
- 49:13Speaker 9: years ago. I was in the military, got out ended
- 49:16Speaker 9: up with cancer right tumors on my spine. They compressed
- 49:20Speaker 9: on my spine so hard they essentially ruined my bladder.
- 49:24Speaker 9: Had had the tumors removed, but I don't have any
- 49:28Speaker 9: bladder functions at all. About five times a day I
- 49:31Speaker 9: have to cast myself right. And so the VA they
- 49:35Speaker 9: made it pretty easy. They send me boxes and boxes
- 49:38Speaker 9: of disposable catheters using once throw them. They come pre
- 49:41Speaker 9: lubricated at calcolo plast speedy caps. You can look them
- 49:45Speaker 9: up anyway. Yeah, it's freaking horrible. Essentially, I got used
- 49:51Speaker 9: to it. Not that my wien is calloused, but it
- 49:55Speaker 9: doesn't hurt as much, not uncomfortable as much. And when
- 49:57Speaker 9: I tell people, right, guys in meet a reaction, it's
- 50:00Speaker 9: just want to like they start holding their their wings.
- 50:06Speaker 9: Oh my god, it feels so like terrible and this
- 50:08Speaker 9: that and the other. Like yeah, it's pretty pretty bad. Anyway,
- 50:12Speaker 9: more you talk about it, the more normal it becomes.
- 50:15Speaker 9: So you know, I'm just trying to still live my
- 50:17Speaker 9: normal my normal ass lits. But anyway, just thought you
- 50:20Speaker 9: guys should know. When I did go through radiation, I
- 50:23Speaker 9: listened to The Woody Show every day driving from Anaheim
- 50:26Speaker 9: over to West la. It was not didn't make it better,
- 50:29Speaker 9: but made it tolerable. Anyway, you guys have a good one,
- 50:31Speaker 9: all right?
- 50:32Speaker 2: Oh yeah, wow, so can you imagine, every time you
- 50:37Speaker 2: have to pee, do you have to give yourself a catheter? Well,
- 50:39Speaker 2: do you know who has to do that? I don't know.
- 50:42Speaker 4: Still I think he does is Don Noxville, because he
- 50:46Speaker 4: had that one stunt that's in I think it's in
- 50:49Speaker 4: the movie where he's on a motocross bike and it
- 50:53Speaker 4: lands on his junk and to this day he started,
- 50:57Speaker 4: Yeah is that right?
- 50:57Speaker 2: Years?
- 50:58Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, the same exact thing that he's talking about
- 51:02Speaker 4: right there.
- 51:02Speaker 3: So as you got things that are frustrating going on,
- 51:05Speaker 3: and trust me, I'm a person, I.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Need I need these things.
- 51:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I needed that same I need these things quite often,
- 51:10Speaker 3: where you know, because you get so caught up in
- 51:12Speaker 3: your own garbage, active a little perspective like, imagine every
- 51:16Speaker 3: time you have to pee, you have to give yourself
- 51:18Speaker 3: a catheter?
- 51:19Speaker 2: No, I don't even thank you. If he knows he
- 51:22Speaker 2: has to pee, he probably because if he has no
- 51:24Speaker 2: bladder control, it just happens. So he's just got to
- 51:27Speaker 2: some sort of basically schedule.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Is that right?
- 51:30Speaker 2: You wouldn't even feel like the pressure. I guess I'm
- 51:33Speaker 2: not sure, but I knew a guy in a wheelchair
- 51:36Speaker 2: and uh, he had a catheter and he said, sometimes
- 51:40Speaker 2: I didn't even realize I was peeing. Well, that might
- 51:43Speaker 2: be a different thing with paralysis. The oh god this
- 51:47Speaker 2: guy is and going through it.
- 51:49Speaker 11: You know that cancer, you know sounds pretty you know,
- 51:53Speaker 11: positive about still going through living a life.
- 51:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know how I see some people in
- 51:58Speaker 3: the situation that they're in a go man, how do
- 52:00Speaker 3: you have any kind of positivity right at all?
- 52:03Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 52:03Speaker 12: I was crazy just watching a thing on like you know,
- 52:06Speaker 12: guys who travel around the world and go to the
- 52:07Speaker 12: worst spots ever and like these you know, crazy parts
- 52:10Speaker 12: of these countries. He's like, this little girl lives here
- 52:12Speaker 12: with five goats in her bed and there's goat droppings everywhere,
- 52:15Speaker 12: and her mom's outselling love that she loves animals.
- 52:19Speaker 3: She is, you know, oh my back, there's goats in
- 52:22Speaker 3: her room. She would think that's awesome. I looked it up,
- 52:26Speaker 3: and you're looking at it wrong. The Giantshville thing for
- 52:30Speaker 3: three and a half years, he added, either, Okay, so
- 52:33Speaker 3: a long time after hours voicemail eight seven seven forty four, Woody, dude, Woody.
- 52:39Speaker 8: Have you swatched the new Peaky Winders movie yet? Because
- 52:42Speaker 8: if you have, what I want to know is your
- 52:45Speaker 8: reaction and your thoughts to just in case you haven't
- 52:47Speaker 8: seen it, I'm just gonna lay leave it.
- 52:49Speaker 3: At wait, wait, hold on before I go any further
- 52:52Speaker 3: with this, because Sam, you're the one who goes through
- 52:54Speaker 3: these right, Yes, does he give away anything.
- 52:56Speaker 2: Boilers, He doesn't know.
- 52:57Speaker 7: He makes sure not to do a spoiler, but he
- 53:00Speaker 7: gives you his reaction something.
- 53:03Speaker 2: All right, you watch it too, didn't you.
- 53:05Speaker 8: I loved reaction, your thoughts to just in case you
- 53:08Speaker 8: haven't seen it. I'm just gonna lay leave it at
- 53:10Speaker 8: the grenade because if you have seen it, I assume
- 53:14Speaker 8: you're gonna know.
- 53:14Speaker 2: What I'm talking about. I do, And was that. I
- 53:17Speaker 2: watched it.
- 53:20Speaker 8: Freaking I screamed out in my living room when it happened.
- 53:23Speaker 11: That was like by all.
- 53:26Speaker 9: Picky blind.
- 53:29Speaker 2: Alright.
- 53:31Speaker 3: So yeah, there's a lot of times a movie comes
- 53:33Speaker 3: up and whatever, go, I'm gonna watch it. I watched
- 53:36Speaker 3: the Peaky Blonde movie. Man, what a great movie. That
- 53:41Speaker 3: movie is a ten out of ten.
- 53:43Speaker 12: It's it's my top five all time greatest movies.
- 53:45Speaker 3: Thomas Shelby, dude, and yes, sir, that scene the grenade
- 53:52Speaker 3: is badass.
- 53:53Speaker 2: I watched it at least five times I watched it
- 53:56Speaker 2: at least five times, and that was the funny thing.
- 53:57Speaker 12: At least if the movie ended up being like four
- 54:00Speaker 12: is long, because I kept rewinding it because there's so
- 54:02Speaker 12: many great people.
- 54:03Speaker 3: I kept thinking, like, man, this is a bad idea, folks.
- 54:05Speaker 3: I don't know what you're doing here, son, Yeah, okay,
- 54:10Speaker 3: all right, but it's man, what a if you If
- 54:14Speaker 3: you haven't watched Peaky Blinders the show, what's it on?
- 54:17Speaker 3: It's on Netflix. I am mega jealous of people who
- 54:21Speaker 3: have still to this day not seen Breaking Bad, Better
- 54:25Speaker 3: Call Saul, Peaky Blinders, Sons of Anarchy an like, and
- 54:30Speaker 3: you have the chance to watch all these shows and
- 54:33Speaker 3: Immortal Man Peaky blind the movie, and to watch it
- 54:35Speaker 3: for the very first time. Oh man, what I wouldn't give.
- 54:39Speaker 12: Now Here's well, I have approach about that. Now you
- 54:42Speaker 12: might be able to answer this.
- 54:43Speaker 2: I can't.
- 54:44Speaker 12: I think everyone should watch this movie, even if they
- 54:46Speaker 12: haven't seen Peaky blind.
- 54:47Speaker 2: I was gonna ask no, no, no, no no, as
- 54:49Speaker 2: somebody who's never seen don't don't watch the movie first? Really,
- 54:53Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 54:55Speaker 12: I won't watch it because they won't watch the whole series.
- 54:58Speaker 2: Why watch?
- 55:00Speaker 3: Better call Saul before you've seen Breaking.
- 55:02Speaker 2: Bad because it's a prequel, right, No, But.
- 55:06Speaker 3: But to understand a lot of the stuff that you
- 55:08Speaker 3: have to have the I I think I think it
- 55:12Speaker 3: made the show better because you had the when of
- 55:14Speaker 3: course it makes it better. Yeah, you had the frame
- 55:17Speaker 3: of reference from Breaking Bad.
- 55:18Speaker 2: But would it makes sense as a standalone movie. It would,
- 55:22Speaker 2: It would just lack some of the of the story.
- 55:25Speaker 3: I think it lacks almost all of the backstory.
- 55:27Speaker 12: Well, yeah, actually you don't know what you like?
- 55:30Speaker 2: Why, Like you're gonna have to take like a quick refresh.
- 55:33Speaker 3: Why is Tommy Shelby such a big deal?
- 55:35Speaker 1: Like?
- 55:35Speaker 3: Who are the Peaky Blinders? Who is this brother who?
- 55:38Speaker 3: Like all these things?
- 55:39Speaker 2: All the other the daughter, the never mind, you can't.
- 55:44Speaker 2: I'm saying, there's too much, there's too much to know.
- 55:46Speaker 2: There's a person. No, it's the gang. The Gang. It's
- 55:50Speaker 2: like the Puking Scorpions, just like the Puking.
- 55:53Speaker 3: Sculp Yeah, yeah, Gina step Sons, a little bike gang,
- 56:02Speaker 3: the Peking Scorpion, like the Peaky Blinds.
- 56:05Speaker 2: I'm surprised that you ever got into it because of
- 56:07Speaker 2: the title. Would it does sound like a kid show?
- 56:10Speaker 3: It does sound dumb, but it came as a recommendation
- 56:13Speaker 3: from somebody who was the one who turned me on
- 56:15Speaker 3: to so many other shows that I've loved.
- 56:17Speaker 12: And a peaky blinder just so you know, is the
- 56:20Speaker 12: peaky's the hat and they would hide razor blades in
- 56:22Speaker 12: it and throw them at people.
- 56:23Speaker 2: You would it would use blinder hat off like you're
- 56:27Speaker 2: going to kill a fly with your hat?
- 56:28Speaker 3: Here what they take it and they whip it at
- 56:30Speaker 3: you had a razor in it, Yeah, and it would
- 56:33Speaker 3: and it would blind them. Yeah, got the pinky blind
- 56:39Speaker 3: No fighting, no fighting, no fight.
- 56:45Speaker 2: And this cast was so good.
- 56:51Speaker 8: This guy, this guy.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Just shop like a like a marshmallow.
- 57:01Speaker 6: His name is Menace though he's kind of like a
- 57:03Speaker 6: Menace in the Streets.
- 57:08Speaker 3: Show. And we are into another new hour insensitivity Training
- 57:14Speaker 3: for a politically correct world.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Thank you for being here. I'm Whatddy. That's Greg Gory.
- 57:18Speaker 3: We got Menace, we got Sea Bass, We've got Sammy
- 57:23Speaker 3: Morgan is here. Phones open eight seven seven forty four Wooding,
- 57:28Speaker 3: Send us your texts over to two to nine eight seven.
- 57:31Speaker 3: We're gonna talk to Richdmurro Rich on tech. This hour
- 57:35Speaker 3: lots always to talk about in the world of tech.
- 57:37Speaker 3: Things that you can actually use. These are helpful and useful,
- 57:40Speaker 3: not just you know, the real driver. Yeah into the week,
- 57:44Speaker 3: you know, dorky stuff. But yeah, that's a that's that's
- 57:48Speaker 3: coming up for you this hour.
- 57:50Speaker 2: All right.
- 57:51Speaker 3: So I'm gonna I'm gonna break. I'm gonna break a
- 57:53Speaker 3: cardinal rule.
- 57:54Speaker 2: On the show. On the show.
- 57:55Speaker 3: All right, we normally we don't we don't do politics really,
- 57:59Speaker 3: you know, you know, I hate the whole partisan thing.
- 58:03Speaker 3: I hate it, Like that is the thing I hate
- 58:05Speaker 3: the most. It creates nothing but division. I really truly
- 58:08Speaker 3: believe that all these guys are friends and they're all
- 58:11Speaker 3: working together against us. Yep, the people like they keep
- 58:14Speaker 3: us fighting so that they can get you know, rich,
- 58:16Speaker 3: and they can get more powerful and things like that.
- 58:19Speaker 3: I hate them all, every last one of them. This
- 58:21Speaker 3: is not a thing on either side. I'm also a
- 58:24Speaker 3: person who lacks tact a lot of times in my
- 58:27Speaker 3: own personal dealings and things like that.
- 58:29Speaker 2: But even I.
- 58:32Speaker 3: Like, I don't understand and you know, with what's what's
- 58:36Speaker 3: going on like the war and Iran and these comments
- 58:40Speaker 3: that get made, I like, why, okay, And I don't
- 58:43Speaker 3: care if you are a fan of Trump. It's not
- 58:46Speaker 3: what this is about. It's just like, but you're the
- 58:48Speaker 3: president of the United States. Why you know this this
- 58:52Speaker 3: quote A whole civil is a whole civilization will die tonight,
- 58:55Speaker 3: never be brought back again. I don't want that to happen,
- 58:58Speaker 3: but it probably will. Why do you say stuff like that?
- 59:01Speaker 3: Why on Easter Sunday do you post.
- 59:03Speaker 2: That was the Easter tweet? This is you're the president? Like, Okay,
- 59:07Speaker 2: I understand.
- 59:08Speaker 3: You know that he says things, you know, off the cuff,
- 59:11Speaker 3: and you know, a lot of times people do take
- 59:13Speaker 3: what he says to but I guess he is to
- 59:14Speaker 3: be taken seriously because he's the president, right right, So,
- 59:17Speaker 3: and while I do believe that a lot of stuff
- 59:19Speaker 3: that maybe he says is just to get a rise
- 59:21Speaker 3: of reaction out of people, but dude, you're still the president.
- 59:24Speaker 3: Tuesday will be power plant Day and bridge Day all
- 59:27Speaker 3: wrapped up in Won and Iran. There'll be nothing like it.
- 59:31Speaker 3: Open the effing straight, you crazy bastards, or you'd be
- 59:33Speaker 3: living in hell. Just watch praise be to a lot
- 59:36Speaker 3: Like why.
- 59:37Speaker 1: Yeah, why?
- 59:38Speaker 2: When I read that, I was like, this isn't real.
- 59:41Speaker 2: But that's the thing.
- 59:41Speaker 3: It is real, And like, so why like it adds
- 59:45Speaker 3: to craziness, it adds to chaos.
- 59:48Speaker 2: Correct.
- 59:48Speaker 3: So again, I know I'm breaking a cardinal rule, but
- 59:50Speaker 3: I think this, this other one just popped up about
- 59:53Speaker 3: like a whole civilization will die? Tyme, you like, why
- 59:56Speaker 3: do you say that? Like why what's like? What does
- 59:59Speaker 3: that accomplish?
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: Who are you getting fired up with that? I like,
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: I want to be supportive. I've said this a thousand times.
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: Whoever is the president I support because I support the country.
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: I want everybody to do well, like with the I
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: hate Aaron Rodgers.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: I hate him.
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: I hate him so much, but he's the quarterback of
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: my favorite team. So I root for Aaron Rodgers. You
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: see what I'm saying.
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I hate him.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: I've I've hated him since the moment he stepped in
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: the scene and oh this coount double check f that
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: he's silent retreats and oh yeah draws me.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: It draws me, nuts man. Yeah, and if you're trying
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: to hold someone's feet to the fire, I guess that's
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: one way to do it. But yeah, that was the
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: Easter tweet. Yeah.
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: So anyway, I know I'm breaking the cardinal rule, just
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: like it, Just like one after the other after the other,
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: and you're like you ever have that friends, Like God,
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: shut up, dude, Like you're a nice guy.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: Just stop it.
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: Yeah what I'm saying, I'm not. I'm not taking up
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: or whatever one way they're on Trump overall, Like this
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: is not what this is about. Just like the last
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: couple of days of these things, and like it's a
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: delicate thing, man, that we're talking about some really serious stuff.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: Yeah, even if you're a support of him, you got
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: to be like, dude, what are you doing?
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Yeah, this is something.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: And again I am rooting for the guy because he's
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: driving the bus exactly right. Yeah, we all we all
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: live here, you know what I mean. And I'm not
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: I don't subscribe to the partisan stuff. There's things on
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: both sides I think are decent ideas. I go, yeah,
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: I believe in this, this, this, but I also believe
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: in this, this and this, So I don't necessarily fit
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: into which I think a lot of people. Most people
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: are the kind of that middle of the road, that
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: kind of more the more moderate thing. I think the
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: people have gotten nuts well.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: And like you said, it's just stoking both sides, Like hell, yeah,
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: that's right, and like, are you crazy, I'm ever like
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: it's it's it's all that kind of stuff.
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: Just like also just like riles up random people, like
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: what happened last time in Austin. You know, I just
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: go and it's like shoot up bars and stuff like dude.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and it does.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: It's not both sides are guilty of inciting, yeah, you know,
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: and it's because we've turned it into sport.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. And this is one of those times where
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: I think, would you rather fast forward to the future
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: or rewind to the past? Yea, dude, I can't like
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: what you said. Everything is political.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: I keep that well, yeah, I keep thinking take it.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: I keep thinking about man, you know, not with this
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: kind of stuff, but just in general. I'll hear a
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: song and it will remind me of, you know, being
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: a kid, and I told you, I can picture the
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: radio that I was listening to that on in my
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: house as a kid, and just reminds me of oh
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: that's when you know, my my grandma was still alive,
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: and this is what life was like. And it's like, oh, man,
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: can we go back you know? Uh huh yeah, like
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: just simpler, simpler times and just yeah, it's uh, it's great.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: Anyway, but we'll move on. We'll move on from that.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: I had to get that out, yeah, because I just
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: saw it during the break. Yeah, I just saw it.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: I was like, you know it again?
- 1:02:55Speaker 8: Why?
- 1:02:56Speaker 12: Well, And it doesn't mean if you if you like anything,
- 1:02:58Speaker 12: it doesn't mean you like one hundred percent of the
- 1:03:00Speaker 12: things about it, like be honest.
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: All right, speaking of saying stupid things, I'm really dying
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: to know. Greg has had an issue recently where he
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: there's there's two prime examples.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: I was hoping you'd forget. Yeah this is so bad.
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: Here, but this is this is this is a good example.
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: I'm talking about the text seven one four. Sorry, Greg,
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: f you with both sides, BS see that. That's the
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: problem that right there is the problem. There's no being pragmatic,
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: there's no like that. Right there is my side. Yeah,
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: that's exactly the problem.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: So one example was Greg was watching a movie and
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: there was a flashback in the movie.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: Yeah, it's that show DTF Saint Louis. Yeah, and Mario said, oh,
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: I can't David Harbor must be wearing a fat suit.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: I said, no, I think he gained wait for the role.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: And then there's a flashback scene in David Harber's Slim
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: and I said, see, he's not wearing a fat suit.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: He's slim. And Mario said, no, that's exactly why he's
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: wearing a fat suit. He said, no, no, no, no,
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: it's a flashback.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: This was in the past.
- 1:04:02Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: I thought, oh my god, they recorded it way back when.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Wait until you hear the latest.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: And then and then we were talking about kids and
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: how much time they spend playing Legos.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: That was a simple misunderstanding I heard.
- 1:04:20Speaker 8: I heard.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Would he say in fun Facts that the average kids
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: spends five billion hours a year playing Legos? That's what
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: I heard in my head, And I said that can't
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: be true. There aren't five billion hours. And I didn't
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: hear it was kids in general. To see.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: To see the look on Greg's face after he realized, oh,
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: I guess that makes me, he goes, that was just
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: I just misheard.
- 1:04:48Speaker 8: What is this?
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: What is this new one? Okay? So I told you
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: that some friends rented a boat and we were pulling
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: into the dock, and you know when a boat comes
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: into a doc, the engines are going and it's going slow,
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: and then as it gets closer and closer to the docks.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: The engine kind of goes like and it kind of
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: speeds up and you kind of start to slow down
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: and then slightly go backwards. What do you think happens
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: when that happens? Like, what do you think the propellers
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: are doing? When all of a sudden you reverse cores?
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: What do you mean stopping? But they don't. So the
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: propeller's spinning right to propel you, and then all of
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: a sudden it kind of goes in the opposite direction, stops,
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: and then reverses like a ceiling fan, you can reverse
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: the ceiling reverse thrust. Okay, yeah, what do you think? Okay?
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: So what I thought, and I swear to god, I
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: thought this, and when I brought it up, everybody thought
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: I was lying. I Oh my god, I'm gonna have
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: to quit after this. I thought, So you have the
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: outboard motor, and then there's a for lack of a
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: better word, a stam or a pose into the part
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: that goes into the water, that goes into the water,
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: and then there's the propeller. I thought that post turned
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: around and then that propelled you the opposite direction. And
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: they said no. And when I asked everybody, I said
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: what do you think the propeller does. They say it
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: stops and it goes in the opposite direction, like you said, Woody,
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: like a ceiling fan, like winter mode summer mode. It
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: spins in the opposite direction. I thought the entire thing
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: I in turn, so like an oscillating Yeah, like the
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: whole you can turn. It's pretty dumb. I mean, I'm sure,
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: considering everybody I asked.
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: Completely unnecessary, but yeah, I'm sure you could do that.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: Really for sure. Okay, get together and pull the no.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: But to me, that's kind of the equivalent of your
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: wife thinking that the thing that pulls the plane out
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: the plane was pushing it, as opposed.
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: To you were going to say they dropped banker and.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: No, no, no, when they read the engines and you
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: slow down and then go the opposite direction. I literally
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: thought the propeller, dick stick whatever. Yeah, the stick turned
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: around one hundred and eighty degrees.
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: And this is why there's a lot of boat accidents
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: because no newbies think that they can drive like boats
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: and they think it's easy.
- 1:07:14Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: I wasn't driving it, yeah, but that's what I thought happens. Yeah, boats,
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: that's pretty dumb. Really, Okay, it's I mean, it is stupid,
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: but not.
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: The people that would have been my first that would
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: have been my guest, Like I gave you my guess
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: like stops reverses like.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: Revers right. Yeah, to be honest, I feel a little better.
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: I could have been really high and not even thought
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: of that at all. Really, Yeah, as a possibility, you.
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: Probably still need of the m A. Right, there's any
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: like any like what is it dark? Is it a
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: dark spot or is it a bright spot? I guess
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: it would be a dark spot.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: And then just the other night I saw one of
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: those Ryan Reynolds commercials on TV for Ford Mobile. Huh.
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: I couldn't remember his name, and I said, oh that actor,
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: Oh Bill, joh Bill Josh Bill John. We do have dementia.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: It's weird, right, took me forever to remember Ryan Reynolds.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: And I'm sure it's fine. I'm sure there's nothing to
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: worry about.
- 1:08:16Speaker 8: Guy.
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, it happens. Happens everybody, happens, every happens
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: to every guy. So the propeller thing, I shouldn't freak
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: out too much.
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: No, that's that's not that bad, right, think eight seven
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: seven forty four Wooding text US two two nine eight
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: seven rich on Tech Rich DeMuro.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: He will join us next on The Woody Show, The
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: Woody Show. We'll be right back. Where's your mother show? Alight?
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: Welcome back?

- 1:08:49Speaker 3: our resident tech reporter, which we share. We share him
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: with with many people, including KTLA Television in Los Angeles
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: and also with people across the country because he's got

- 1:09:05Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, I be.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: You rich to meure rich rich Heusoh, thanks for having
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: me and I am happy to share my technology.
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: Yes, your technology.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: I see what he did there.
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: Well, yeah, so Richie, he's got this free newsletter you
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: can subscribe to that if you go to rich on
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: tech dot TV. That's rich on tech dot TV. Uh,
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: talking about all the different kind of things that you
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: find here on the show or on his on his
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: weekly syndicated radio show. You can always get there again
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: rich on tech dot TV, find and follow him on
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: social media at rich on Tech. Now, Rich, I did
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: see you had mentioned something about this because this Artemis mission,
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: the space mission around the Moon and everything else. Uh,
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: there's a twist. This is the first time. Not only
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: has a man gone further before, but there was another
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: first with this Artemis mission.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Yes, that they could bring their iPhones on the I
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: guess not plane the cash.
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: Yeah, you have to put them an airplane mode before.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: Huh.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: So this is one of the first times that astronauts
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: have been allowed to do this, which I just thought.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: You know, I watched this launch with my kids. I
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: thought it was like the coolest thing ever. I grew
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: up in the eighties, so I was thinking like Challenger,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: which is really sad. Yeah, but you know, but still
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: I watched it and I was like, Okay, this time
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: it's gonna work. It's gonna be amazing. Watch it with
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: the kids, and we just.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: Thought it was so cool.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: And then I read about the whole iPhone thing, and
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I'm like, could you imagine coming back from space and
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: you're like, hey, let me let me show you something
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: on my camera roll the pictures of the Earth that
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: are like not AI, that are real. I mean, I
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: just it's mind boggling to me. The only thing that
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: would really get me though, is that you know, there's
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: no signal up there, so you're literally you.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: Have this amazing device. Thank you yeah, cover contract yet. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: they have.
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: That, Like but why why is it a big deal?
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: Like why is this like why why couldn't you have
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: had this before?
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: Airplane mode?
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I mean it's the thing, like even on planes,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: Like if you think about it, we now take for
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: granted that we can use gadgets from like basically the
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: entire flight, like a couple of years ago. You know,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: remember you have to like put away and stow like
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: all everything, like you're then for takeoff and landing, and
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: now we're like to the point where they're just like,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: okay whatever.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: A lot of people I talked.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: To you like I don't even turn my plane into
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: airplane or my phone into airplane mode, which obviously I
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: still do.
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: I follow the rules. I mean I do that just
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: because it drains the battery when it's constantly looking for
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: a signal. Yeah, that's the only reason. I mean, Otherwise
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: I don't even think about it, because it's not like
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: I'm miky you're not making calls while you're doing that.
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: Although I was connected. I was connected to the Wi
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: Fi on one of these flights recently, and like my
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: buddy was calling, like the phone rang and it works
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: and I could have answered it. I'm like, oh no,
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: I'm not doing that.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: You can always tell the people that don't turn off
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: their phones because as soon as you get like lower,
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: when you're landing, their notifications start going off.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: You're like, oh, okay, it's fun.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: It's like one of those stupid things like your mom
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: would tell you that you'd get like hair on your
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: palms from masturbating or something like that. Yeah, you're not
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: going to bring the plane down just because you know, yeah, no,
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: not on airplane mode.
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: Now, rich, Why would they bring an iPhone and on Android?
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: Yeah that's better, Well it's not they actually all hold
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: on They didn't, okay, just iPhone is kind of like
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: what I guess they had, but they but NASA was
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: clear to say that Android phones are included. They do
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: have to test them, by the way, just to make
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: sure because they don't want like the screen to shatter
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: or anything, because there's obviously a lot of things that
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: are vibrations.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: And all this stuff, or like the you know, they're
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: definitely not allowed to take that old note. I forget
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: was it the Note eight? I forget which one it was.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: They had to physically come to my house to retrieve
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: my test at it because they're like, this is so dangerous,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: it'll burn the home.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: And I'm like, yeah, all right.
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: Hey, I see a lot of people going back and
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: forth the iPhone, uh Android, back and forth to the
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: PlayStation and Xbox three sixty.
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: Are you rich?
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: Are you a Google Maps guy or an Apple Maps guy.
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: I've seen a lot of people putting that question out there.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. I mean I am a Google Maps.
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: Guy saying I think the Apple Maps suck.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: They've gone a lot better, but I will tell you
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: it's They're unreliable at best. And I hate to say
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: that because Apple I think has done a lot of
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: good work and I think they're beautifully designed. But if
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: you are gonna trust your life on directions Apple Maps,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: I've just seen so many times it just doesn't work,
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: and I'm like, okay, got to go Google Maps. I'm
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: actually one of those people that contributes the pictures to
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Google Maps.
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: I love doing that.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: I've got like seven million views or something on my
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: pictures on Google because I just think it's fun to
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: like contribute to them.
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean the ogs, so they have so much
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: more data than anybody else.
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I just remember when you know, I read something
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: to talking about like yo, it is the most accurate
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: when it comes to like how much time is.
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: Going to take you to get there.
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: I feel like anytime I use something stupid, I used
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: to like weighs a lot, and then ways just ended
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: up being it tells me forty minutes now. But why
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: that I'm an hour and a half into this because
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: it keeps, you know, moving you around from this place
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: to that place. Now we're gonna, you know, take this
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: detour over here. So I moved on from that, and
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: ever since I got to the Google Maps and just
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: decided that was mine. That's the one I was gonna use.
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: Like I've had no problems.
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: Google Maps is great for walking too, Yes, yeah, it's
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: really especially that's interesting you say that because that's where
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: I digress.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: I yes, when I use walking, I always use Apple
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: Maps and number one because it can go on your watch,
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: so it shows you on your watch.
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: Number two. Internationally.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: I don't know why, but for some reason walking directions
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: in big cities in general, the iPhone just does a
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: better job.
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, but to be fair, like you said, we've
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: never used it for walking. The Apple Maps, so maybe.
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: Okay, we'll try it.
- 1:14:46Speaker 8: I don't know what it is.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: But here's the thing.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: It's also the information they're collecting. iPhone is collecting a
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: lot of information. But Google just has so many users
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: that are constantly like feeding into this beast. So it's like,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: I don't know, I just feel like it's it's much.
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: Better you messed with. And I have not done this yet,
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: but with the Google Maps, have you used the whole
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: ask maps thing? I love this feature. I'm not kidding
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: this ass map. It's an ass map.
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: Ask ask ask with a K, yes, not not what
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: it sounds like.
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: That's all. Don't google that.
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: That's a whole other thing. That's how you find all
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: the handy huts, although you probably could. You could you
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: ask maps like, Hey, where's the closest handy hut right now?
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: Jackshack. I that's the first time I'm hearing of that.
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: But I don't want that in my search history, so
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: I'm not putting that one in.
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: But this is that, you know, So ask maps is
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: right underneath that search bar, and they're basically applying Natural
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: language AI search to all the information that's contained in maps,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: which is reviews, photos, people talking about what food is
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: good at places, directions, locations, reviews, summaries, whatever it is.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: And so you can now get so specific with Apple
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: ups Apple, with Google Maps. With this new ask maps feature,
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: I've been using it to find like super specific foods,
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: like if you want like the best canoli, or you
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: want the cheapest Philly authentic Philly cheese steak sandwich near you.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: I mean, it's unbelievable how specific you can get with
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: your requests.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: And because it's AI, it's way better than just searching
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: maps like you traditionally would.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: And you could say it a step further if you're
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: planning any sort of road trip, or you're trying to
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: meet a friend that's halfway somewhere, Like if your friend
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: lives an hour away, you're trying to meet up for lunch,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: you can say that and it will figure it out
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: and get you the exact CAD you want.
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: Yeah, because I know, like sometimes I'm on my way somewhere,
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: I have the navigation set up and I'm following that.
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: I go, oh, you know what, I need to find
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: the closest CBS between here and where I'm at, And
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: I'll type that in like at a stop and I'll
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: say one point three miles from where you are. But
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: then when I go to that one and all of
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: a sudden, now I'm going three point seven miles out
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: of my way. It doesn't seem very accurate. But I
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: guess this might be Uh, I don't know, like maybe
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: I'm asking wrong, and I guess it's what let's.
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: Find out right now? Yeah, hey, mask maps, ask maps,
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: where's the closest jackshack? Yeah? I see what says? Does
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: it tell you? Is it thinking searching pinpoint inking pinpointing
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: nine places? Yeah?
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: Well, while it's searching rich One thing I found too.
- 1:17:18Speaker 5: And this is more for tesla is that now that
- 1:17:20Speaker 5: Groc in a similar way is integrated into it, I
- 1:17:23Speaker 5: can pop up Groc on the Tesla and I'll say,
- 1:17:25Speaker 5: like like what he's saying. On the way to a destination,
- 1:17:27Speaker 5: I'll say, Hey, find me the closest parking deck near there.
- 1:17:30Speaker 5: That's like safe boom right, it goes right in there
- 1:17:32Speaker 5: and integrate into the mouth.
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: Yeah, grok in the Tesla is it's a sleeper hit.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: It is so good. It's wild though.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: It can do a lot of stuff, but it can't
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: control like your audio, which I think is kind of weird,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: so they need to figure that out. But it also
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: thinks it's a person. Like literally, I'll ask Groc like, hey,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: what do you think of this?
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: Like have you tried this? And they'll like lie to
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: me and be like, yeah, I've tried that, Like how
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: are you trying this? You're an AI, you haven't eaten that.
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: While we're talking to rich DeMuro rich on Tech. You
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: can find them on social media at rich on Tech.
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: Speaking of which, chat GPT now in car play, Like,
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: I feel like I was doing ze for a while.
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: Was I doing it weird before?
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: Because I feel like I have used it? Well, you
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: would ask Surrey.
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: You would ask Surrey first, yeah, and then it goes
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: oh would you like to ask chat GBT, and then
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: they would open chat GBT.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: I think this is now you can just like straight
- 1:18:22Speaker 2: up talk to me. Do we have that right? Yeah?
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: This is so this is the first time that chat
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: gibt has been directly available inside car play. So all
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: you have to do is update the car Play uh
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: chat gibt app and then make sure your phone is
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: updated to iOS twenty six point four. So now these
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: AI assistants, which this includes Gemini Claude they're all going
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: to be in the car eventually, right now, chat Ebt
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: did it, like first out of the gate. They're like, okay,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: so that live chat where you actually are talking with
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: chat Gibt, not just getting answers from them or it's
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: that back and forth kind of live conversation that is
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: now available in car play, not just through series, so
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: it's actually through the app.
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: Great friend, dude, you can chat with it. I was.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: I was using Rock in the Tesla and it is
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: like having somebody on a road trip with Yeah, I
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: have full conversations with it in a Tesla. It's so bizarre.
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: It's really well done because you can you can just chat,
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: ask it questions and then when you make little commentary,
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: it'll laugh and agree, Oh yeah I agree. Do you
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: three like where people fall in love with these things? Yes,
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: I do. I mean well in love, but you talk
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: to it if you're like.
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: Like, that's where you start, Yeah, that's I mean, but
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: like then you end up like developing feelings basically for this,
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: like AI chat Bot, I like better.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: Than the one thing.
- 1:19:40Speaker 4: Now once in a while I will drive a Tesla
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: and I'll have Grock in it, and I want to
- 1:19:45Speaker 4: try to like call somebody, it'll pull up Groc first.
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's too. It's two different pushes.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: It's a it's a long push for Grock, it's a
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: short push for like the standard audio.
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: Like Bluetooth voice call stuff. And that's this is all
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: like in between.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: Obviously, the goal I think for Groc and all these cars,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: like even in car play, would be to have it
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: very smart and to handle everything. But because it's like
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: two separate systems and it's very complicated because you're talking
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: about like adjusting the air conditioning but also asking a
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: question about you know, how far is the moon from
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: the Earth. You know, has to like we're just in
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: the beginning stages of all this, but in the future,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: your whole car.
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: Will be all AI enabled. And I think this is
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: all a first stop.
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: You know how like we were doing that whole thing
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: like how many rs are in Strawberry We're asking and
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: give you the wrong answer like a thousand different times.
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: There's a bunch of other things that are online where
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: the guy's going all right, like when I say start,
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: you start a time, or I'll tell you when the stop,
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: and he's going on a run, right, and so he
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: goes all right, let's go, and he goes all right,
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: stop and it was like within like yeah, second or
- 1:20:51Speaker 3: two right, he goes all right, well you're then it
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: gives him some crazy.
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: Random time that was four hours. Well right, yeah, exactly.
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: And so anyway, Sam.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: Altman was doing an interview and was talking to this
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: person who asked about that. So, if you're ever getting like,
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: you know, these wrong answers from uh the chat GPT,
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: you know, opening eye stuff, he says, because that particular
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: voice model, it was a guy and one of the
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: guy boyd, that particular voice model doesn't have the tool
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: to be able to do a timer yet, he said.
- 1:21:20Speaker 3: He goes, and that's still like another like year or
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: year and a half away, right, he just did this interview.
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: Sam Altman just did it.
- 1:21:29Speaker 5: Because I did notice that when I was grocking it
- 1:21:31Speaker 5: and in the tesla is I was I was doing
- 1:21:33Speaker 5: this is so dorky. I was just for fun doing
- 1:21:36Speaker 5: l set practice questions from the law school.
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: Exactly, and I was noticing that like Richie sounds like
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: a party, right, uh.
- 1:21:45Speaker 5: Huh, it was giving me like wrong answers on and
- 1:21:48Speaker 5: I'd say, wait a minute, you didn't say that was
- 1:21:50Speaker 5: an option for options see and it said, oh, I'm sorry,
- 1:21:52Speaker 5: I didn't read the full answer.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: To you, Like, well, why not, jerk. Yeah, that sounds
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: like a lot of fun. Sounds easily. Yeah, that's a
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: like a lot of fun. You know, remember look that
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: was fun the day.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: Well, I think we have to realize that these ais,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: even though they seem like they have every answer and
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: they're so slick and they're so quick.
- 1:22:13Speaker 8: You know.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: I feed a lot of like my transcripts and things
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: into open Ai chatch Ebt on a daily basis, like
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: interviews I do, so I know what the people have
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: said and I see what it returns me. And it's wrong,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: you know, on basic things a lot of times. So
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: you just have to be aware of the fact that,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: especially when you're getting all that medical advice from Chatchy,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: it is confident, it's not always one hundred percent correct.
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: We're talking to Rich on Tech rich Tdamira, what's your
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: gadget of the week?
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: This is Sono's play. I've been using this new speaker.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: I've been given Sonos a hard time on my radio
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: show because for the past two years it has been
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: a rough road for this company. So they put out
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: this major update to their app and their system. Basically
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: all the people that had older speakers were totally screwed
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: because everything just stopped working because they're trying to push
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: their newer speakers with all these new features, and so
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: for the past two years, even something as simple as
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: changing the volume across your whole house with all your
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: different Sono speakers has been really rough. I am happy
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: to report that is now fixed. And if you're not
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: familiar with Sonos in general, it's speakers that basically can
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: be put in any room of your house.
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: You can group them up, you can use them indoors.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: Outdoors, the whole door outdoor, on the move, and they've
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: ranged in a whole bunch of different prices.
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: They last forever.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: And this new Sono's Play is an indoor outdoor speaker,
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: so inside it sits in any room that you want,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: and it groups with all your other speakers, but it
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: sits on a charging plate. So at any time, like yesterday,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: we're you know, celebrating, and we brought this to a
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: friend's house and we just you know, had this speaker
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: and brought it there, and so you can bring it
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: outside your house.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: But the neat.
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: Thing that's a little bit different is that you can
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: now group these speakers outside of your house too, like
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: using Bluetooth, so you can group up to four of them.
- 1:24:02Speaker 3: Yeah, because Sonos when it first came out, I was
- 1:24:04Speaker 3: all about it. I had a Sonos set up in
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: the house. I thought it's pretty neat, like people come
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: over and just hand them your phone and you can
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: all right, pick whatever you want, like a little roaming
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: jukebox kind of thing, you know. And then and then
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: I kind of felt like, do you not have the ability?
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: I don't know, I'm naive here when it comes like
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: so like a Ui Boom or you know, or any
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: of these other you know, Bluetooth speakers, couldn't you can't
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: group those together somehow?
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: Okay, So there's a new technology coming out called Aura Cast,
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: which is actually building this similar technology into all Bluetooth speakers,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: but it's going to take a while for newer speakers
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: to know, and.
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: So as of right now, you would need Sonos to
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: group them together.
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: Well, in the past, some speakers have been able to
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: group together with technology that manufacturers built in, so certain
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: speakers you might have been able to group like four
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: of them together or like two of them together.
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: It's been very hit or missed.
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: But also Bluetooth has a lot of latency, so it
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: doesn't necessarily always sink perfectly. And you know, you can't
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: necess necessarily have one speaker playing one thing another speaker
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: like SOS.
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: You could have your whole house playing one thing.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: You could write, you could just want the living room
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: in the bedroom playing something you know, or every bathroom.
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: So smooth jazz can be playing a dream right.
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: Meanwhile you're playing like yacht rock by the pool.
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: And there's no speaker wires, so there's you know, everything
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: is just plug and play. You just plug it in.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: But anyway, so Nos, this speaker is three hundred dollars
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: called Son's Play.
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: I'm loving it.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: Reviewers are loving it. It's definitely like Sons is finally back.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: They built something that just feels like, okay, so Nos,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: listen to what all the problems were, fix them.
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: The app works again.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: The speakers are back, and I just think, like, if
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: you haven't played with Sons, it's one of my favorite
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: gadgets except for the past two years.
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: Yeah, so Rich, you gotta stop talking, crap man, you
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: gotta like lay off all the smack talk on the SOO,
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: Rich de Miro, rich on tech at, rich on Tech
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: on social media. Subscribe to is free, Yes free newsletter.
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: Rich on tech dot Tv.
- 1:26:03Speaker 2: Written here thanks for having me, so col sports Witch.
- 1:26:10Speaker 3: Yeah all right. JEFG is in Italy with his family
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: this fucky. His son went and toward to a school yesterday,
- 1:26:18Speaker 3: his youngest son. So he's doing like dance stuff, you know,
- 1:26:21Speaker 3: and then visiting his son who plays ball over there.
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: Which is pretty cool. It's insane.
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: Took a family picture he posted on his Instagram in
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: front of the coliseum.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: In Rome rules. Yeah. I'd love to go there. Yeah,
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: I like to see it online. Yeah, yeah, pictures are great.
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: So Jeff G not here this morning, but we do
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: have dumbass Tyler who's got your so cow sports.
- 1:26:38Speaker 13: Well, the Dodgers pulled up the Toronto yesterday and reminded
- 1:26:41Speaker 13: the Jays that last year's World Series title wasn't a fluke.
- 1:26:45Speaker 13: Crank's another he's got a second bomb?
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: Who is this guy? Don't Rushing exploding.
- 1:26:53Speaker 13: Rushing's pair of Hober's helped lead the Dodgers to a
- 1:26:55Speaker 13: dub after they beat down the Jay's fourteen to two
- 1:26:57Speaker 13: Game two of the series is at four this afternoon.
- 1:27:00Speaker 13: With Yamamoto on the bump in Anaheim, the Angels are
- 1:27:02Speaker 13: putting together a little.
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: Streaks handed left center field, Yes, Draps, Kings outs, God
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: tow it.
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: Out, hazis first hold of twenty twenty six.
- 1:27:15Speaker 13: Adele is staying hot, and the Halo Bats frustrated Braves
- 1:27:18Speaker 13: pitcher Chris Saales so much he actually punched his own
- 1:27:20Speaker 13: head with the baseball still in his hand. Six to
- 1:27:23Speaker 13: two was the final, and Game two of the series
- 1:27:25Speaker 13: will be tonight at six point thirty. With Yusikakuchi on
- 1:27:27Speaker 13: the hill moving to the ice, the Kings went to
- 1:27:29Speaker 13: overtime for the thirty second time this season.
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: Evan Angel's top kicks cast shot up.
- 1:27:38Speaker 13: That win put the Kings back in a playoff spot,
- 1:27:40Speaker 13: just one point ahead of the team they beat last night,
- 1:27:43Speaker 13: the Predators. The Ducks, meanwhile, can actually help the Kings
- 1:27:46Speaker 13: out tonight because they face those same Predators at the
- 1:27:48Speaker 13: Pond at seven thirty, covering up the ice with the hardwood.
- 1:27:51Speaker 13: The Lakers and Clippers both get set for action later tonight.
- 1:27:54Speaker 13: Both games tip off at seven thirty, with the Lakers
- 1:27:56Speaker 13: taking on the Thunder at Crypto and the Clippers facing
- 1:27:59Speaker 13: the Mavericks heat in. And lastly, we have a new
- 1:28:02Speaker 13: college basketball champions Michigan held off yukon sixty nine to
- 1:28:12Speaker 13: sixty three, and they were able to bring the title
- 1:28:14Speaker 13: home for the first time since eighty nine. I'd say congrats,
- 1:28:17Speaker 13: but they are now rivals of both USC and UCLA
- 1:28:19Speaker 13: in the Big Ten, So instead they get nothing from me.
- 1:28:22Speaker 13: I'm dumbass Tyler, and that's are so col sports. Oh
- 1:28:24Speaker 13: I'm sorry, can you push your moves down because I
- 1:28:26Speaker 13: couldn't hear you.
- 1:28:28Speaker 3: Jeez, Oh my god, Hey dumbass Tyler. Everybody, Oh my god.
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: All right, welcome back everybody. Yeah, So I had never
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: heard I'd never heard of this festival before. It's uh,
- 1:28:50Speaker 3: what's it called, the Wireless Festival?
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: Yeah, the Wireless Festival.
- 1:28:53Speaker 3: So it just popped up because, you know, been a
- 1:28:55Speaker 3: news story because I guess they had Kanye was going
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: to be headlining, Yes, every night of this festival, however
- 1:29:02Speaker 3: long it is three days, three days, all three days.
- 1:29:05Speaker 3: He was going a head bone, right, And so then
- 1:29:07Speaker 3: PEPSI came out and said that they were pulling their
- 1:29:10Speaker 3: sponsorship of the festival.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: Kanye, Yeah, And then.
- 1:29:16Speaker 3: Yeah, because they were like teamed up Anheuser Bush I
- 1:29:19Speaker 3: believe was another one that said they were not gonna sponsor,
- 1:29:23Speaker 3: and then they okay, well the festival's off, well like
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: the whole thing, right, No, so.
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: All the sponsors are pulling out, and then on top
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: of that, the UK government says he's not even allowed
- 1:29:35Speaker 4: in the country.
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: Okay, so just get a new headliner.
- 1:29:38Speaker 3: Well because no, I think because they booked him. Now
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: these people don't want to be associated with the festival.
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: And sounds crazy.
- 1:29:44Speaker 12: I mean this festivals are going on like twenty years,
- 1:29:46Speaker 12: is that right?
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: Yeah, imagine you have a great thing going yeah, and
- 1:29:49Speaker 3: then it's just something.
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: Now here's what's here's what weird.
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: I know how people well I know how people say
- 1:29:57Speaker 3: they feel about Kanye, But how do you really feel
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: about Kanye? Because he just did what to sold out
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: shows that sold out like immediately at Sofi Stadium in
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: Los Angeles. Looks pretty cool. I saw things on online.
- 1:30:13Speaker 12: Somebody stopped the show a billion times.
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: So my question is like, how mad are people really?
- 1:30:23Speaker 3: Which is why, which is why that festival booked him anyway,
- 1:30:26Speaker 3: because they know he's going to be this huge draw.
- 1:30:31Speaker 3: I think Kanye and any anybody. They still have a
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: right to go out there and make a living and
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: earn a living. And it's up to the market, the public,
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: whether they're going to support that or not. And the
- 1:30:43Speaker 3: market determines what there's a market for, and clearly there's
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: a market for people. Say what you want about them,
- 1:30:50Speaker 3: Kanye West, Chris Brown, Chris Brown still doing shows and
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: you can't even make a joke about the stuff that
- 1:30:57Speaker 3: Chris Brown did, not about like Chris Brown himself. But
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: I'm saying, like, you can't make it a domestic violence
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: joke and people without people going, you know whatever, which okay, understandable,
- 1:31:07Speaker 3: but like people are still going to his show, like
- 1:31:10Speaker 3: in supporting this guy. I just find it interesting because
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: you see, you would think that there wouldn't be it's
- 1:31:15Speaker 3: very selective any opportunity whatsoever. And I guess if you
- 1:31:19Speaker 3: really want to look at the silver lining of it,
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: it's no matter how bad or how down you think
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: you might be and down and out, there's always room
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: for a comeback.
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: Karen.
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: You know, because at this point with the Kanye thing,
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: it seems like it seems like nothing ever happened, correct,
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: because everything he seems to be more popular now that
- 1:31:40Speaker 3: I remember him being ten years ago, he's always been
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: this popular.
- 1:31:45Speaker 12: Yeah, what's the name of that song that he put
- 1:31:47Speaker 12: out last year?
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: I don't like the White Skinhead.
- 1:31:52Speaker 12: Maybe that other one that he released that I don't
- 1:31:57Speaker 12: know something. Well, yeah, you put out a song called
- 1:32:02Speaker 12: Kyle Hitler.
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: Oh, I thought you were really trying to figure out so.
- 1:32:08Speaker 12: He paid for he paid as for a Super Bowl
- 1:32:11Speaker 12: commercial when he was like at the Orthodonist.
- 1:32:13Speaker 2: To go to his website. Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:32:16Speaker 4: Like, like I when he was going through all this
- 1:32:21Speaker 4: stuff and he was being crazy and all that stuff,
- 1:32:23Speaker 4: I was still down with it when he was like
- 1:32:25Speaker 4: being crazy about other rappers and his baby mama and
- 1:32:28Speaker 4: things like that. But then when I started getting into
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: what she's talking about, then I was like, yeah, I'm like, dude,
- 1:32:35Speaker 4: I can't be down. That's why I got rid of
- 1:32:38Speaker 4: all my yeasies.
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: But you got too many sponsors on the line, dude,
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: you can't. No, I didn't want to.
- 1:32:45Speaker 4: I didn't want to wear I didn't want to wear
- 1:32:47Speaker 4: yeasies because I think, like, oh, okay, because that shows like, hey,
- 1:32:50Speaker 4: I'm down with the message that this guy's trying to
- 1:32:52Speaker 4: put out.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:32:53Speaker 6: So, I'm like, but do you still listen to his music?
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: I don't. I don't.
- 1:32:56Speaker 4: And what's crazy is last last year. Last year he
- 1:33:00Speaker 4: was the most streamed hip hop artist.
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: Uh yeah, I believe Look gold Digger, Good Life. I
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: know there's a bunch of other songs that I would
- 1:33:10Speaker 3: recognize that I can't come up with the titles for, Like, dude,
- 1:33:12Speaker 3: those were all really good songs. They are they are
- 1:33:15Speaker 3: good songs. Yeah, it's kind of like I don't know,
- 1:33:17Speaker 3: Greg like Chick fil A like you can, you can.
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: You could think what they want, like you know about
- 1:33:23Speaker 3: the politics or whatever of the people who own or
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: run Chick Flay or whatever.
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: I got.
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: I gotta separate the politics from the chicken.
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: I gotta separate.
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: And somebody on the text made a really good point.
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: I got to separate the artists from the art That's
- 1:33:37Speaker 3: what Sammy says about Diddy.
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but I think we were all there.
- 1:33:44Speaker 11: Remember that Kanye album is really good by the way, damn,
- 1:33:48Speaker 11: I mean unpopular opinion. I can separate him and what
- 1:33:51Speaker 11: he says from his music. I love Kanye, but what
- 1:33:54Speaker 11: about when his music is called well, I don't listen
- 1:33:57Speaker 11: to that. I also don't listen to his Jesus album either.
- 1:34:03Speaker 11: As an artist, I think he's a brilliant artist. I
- 1:34:05Speaker 11: think he is a little wacko.
- 1:34:07Speaker 4: But yeah, like I I'll say this, Yeah, I don't
- 1:34:11Speaker 4: seek out to go listen to his music, but if
- 1:34:13Speaker 4: it's like on the air, like I'm not going to.
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: Turn it off. Yeah.
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: I mean, you know, there's plenty of people they get
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: quote canceled, you know, and then yeah, and then people
- 1:34:23Speaker 3: won't touch him with a thousand foot pole, you know.
- 1:34:27Speaker 3: But then there's other people sellum sell out stadiums and
- 1:34:30Speaker 3: arenas and and and everything else. Yeah, So yeah, I'm
- 1:34:34Speaker 3: not This is not a this is not a pro
- 1:34:36Speaker 3: Kanye's I just find it interesting. I just find it
- 1:34:40Speaker 3: interesting that you know, you can feel like, oh, well, Kanye,
- 1:34:44Speaker 3: do you think he's ever gonna be able to x
- 1:34:46Speaker 3: y Z again? And if you would have asked me
- 1:34:48Speaker 3: a year ago to've been like, hell no, I mean
- 1:34:50Speaker 3: the guys, I think that guy's dead in the water.
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: But then all this stuff I'm seeing about these shows
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: and the way that I'm read, of course I go
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: to the comments. I'm really, dude, people, dude, they don't
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: they have a very short, short memory, or they just
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: it's not important to them.
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: It's not important to them.
- 1:35:06Speaker 4: Well, I was telling you, like at the beginning of
- 1:35:09Speaker 4: the year, these industry insiders that were talking about like
- 1:35:12Speaker 4: he was going to have the biggest year of this year.
- 1:35:14Speaker 2: I'm like, you're insane. Yeah, and here we are.
- 1:35:17Speaker 3: But again, people, I'm thinking, forget Kanye for a second.
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: I think the bigger thing is that people can do
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: or say things or whatever. You have like a really
- 1:35:26Speaker 3: you go through, like a really tough time, you go
- 1:35:28Speaker 3: through a really bad phase or whatever. There's what you're
- 1:35:32Speaker 3: saying is there's a chance. I know that there's a
- 1:35:35Speaker 3: chance for Kanye. There's used to be Chris Brown. There's
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: got to be a chance for everybody.
- 1:35:39Speaker 4: That must be what it feels like to be like
- 1:35:42Speaker 4: really good looking, you know, because when you're really good looking,
- 1:35:45Speaker 4: you can get away with anything.
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: Right, As we've pointed out, Yeah.
- 1:35:50Speaker 3: Eight seven, seven forty four, what you can text us
- 1:35:53Speaker 3: over to two to nine eighty seven more.
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: What he shows next will be right back?
- 1:35:58Speaker 6: Oh can around my ankle?
- 1:36:04Speaker 2: Do you feel each individual pumping pump?
- 1:36:10Speaker 8: All right?
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: Fun? Fact I don't know fun is because I'm who
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: you ask me, fact, you tell me this is fun.
- 1:36:21Speaker 3: One in three Americans between the ages of eighteen and
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: thirty four live with their parents.
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: Really eighteen and thirty one in three, Yeah, I believe it.
- 1:36:30Speaker 2: That's a lot.
- 1:36:30Speaker 3: Yeah, because you would think like even like some of
- 1:36:33Speaker 3: those eighteen year olds would be off at college, maybe
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: living at college, not living at home, not that they're
- 1:36:38Speaker 3: not still on the on the parents teat.
- 1:36:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but from a different building, but actually living in
- 1:36:43Speaker 2: the house.
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: So over thirty three percent, and that's just the overall number, Like,
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: the number is way higher in certain places, you know,
- 1:36:52Speaker 3: some of the most expensive places to live. New Jersey,
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: forty four percent of eighteen to thirty four year olds
- 1:36:59Speaker 3: still live with their parents.
- 1:37:00Speaker 12: Almost I wonder if that's okay, I'm gonna make a
- 1:37:03Speaker 12: jump here, But you think that's cultural if it's like
- 1:37:06Speaker 12: you know, Italian Catholic families.
- 1:37:08Speaker 2: No, I think it's cost of living.
- 1:37:09Speaker 12: Oh well, okay, yeah, I mean that's that's what I'm
- 1:37:15Speaker 12: wondering why.
- 1:37:15Speaker 2: I think GA is kind of right on two while
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: two front. What about Connecticut? That's number two and one?
- 1:37:20Speaker 2: I got nothing. What's in Connecticut? Love to stick together?
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: I mean, there has been arguments online or people say, hey, yeah,
- 1:37:30Speaker 4: why are you rushing so much to get out of
- 1:37:33Speaker 4: the house, And everybody should live in a big house
- 1:37:35Speaker 4: together and then grow wealth and then be able to
- 1:37:38Speaker 4: purchase homes when they're older.
- 1:37:41Speaker 2: Do I agree with that?
- 1:37:42Speaker 4: No, but it does, it does make sense. And then
- 1:37:45Speaker 4: also the people I do know that are living at
- 1:37:49Speaker 4: home still at that age, they don't even want to leave.
- 1:37:53Speaker 2: They want to be there.
- 1:37:54Speaker 7: Problem od I think that a lot of kids really
- 1:37:57Speaker 7: get along with their parents now more than before. Kids
- 1:38:00Speaker 7: used to be like, I can't wait till I'm out
- 1:38:02Speaker 7: of the house. I'm out at eighteen, like you wanted
- 1:38:04Speaker 7: to get away from the house that you lived in.
- 1:38:05Speaker 6: I don't think that's the case.
- 1:38:08Speaker 2: Sammy's argument parents are cooler these days.
- 1:38:10Speaker 6: Yeah, well, I mean, yeah, I do.
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: I do want to think that.
- 1:38:13Speaker 7: I mean, because it's generation.
- 1:38:15Speaker 6: It's different.
- 1:38:15Speaker 7: And if your parents, if the generation of parents already
- 1:38:18Speaker 7: gave you your independence and wasn't, you know, trying to
- 1:38:21Speaker 7: control every move you make, then what's the big deal.
- 1:38:24Speaker 4: If Sammy's family lived in the same city, she would
- 1:38:27Speaker 4: be living out there.
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: Oh yeah, right now.
- 1:38:30Speaker 7: Because I also don't see a reason to live by
- 1:38:33Speaker 7: yourself when you could live with people, because it's so
- 1:38:35Speaker 7: with your family.
- 1:38:36Speaker 6: I think it is I like having, you know, dinners
- 1:38:39Speaker 6: with my parents, a.
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: Case of I like this. Therefore that must be the reason.
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: Ever it's happening everywhere.
- 1:38:44Speaker 12: Well, also a reason like teenagers don't want to drive
- 1:38:48Speaker 12: because there's uber you know, they just have access to
- 1:38:50Speaker 12: more stuff, Like I got in bed, but I also
- 1:38:52Speaker 12: got DoorDash.
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: Yeah, so let me let me go down the list again,
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: just real quick. And that I got a thought.
- 1:38:58Speaker 3: Connect kid was number two forty one percent of eighteen
- 1:39:01Speaker 3: to thirty four year olds living with home. California, number three,
- 1:39:04Speaker 3: thirty nine percent, Maryland, Delaware, Florida. Number six kind of surprising.
- 1:39:10Speaker 3: Number seven is New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Georgia,
- 1:39:16Speaker 3: Rhode Island, Hawaii.
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: There doesn't even seem to be a Rhyan or Reeds.
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: So a lot of those were East coast and northeast. Yeah,
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: thirty wealthy ish places, Northeast cities. Well, cost of living
- 1:39:27Speaker 2: for sure.
- 1:39:28Speaker 5: But also also cost you have liket richer parents who
- 1:39:32Speaker 5: are going to baby you more.
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I see here, here's a lot of jobs.
- 1:39:38Speaker 3: Here's the thing. I love my family, I do. I
- 1:39:41Speaker 3: love my parents. I love my family.
- 1:39:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:39:43Speaker 3: I just saw a bunch of bunch of them last
- 1:39:45Speaker 3: week and it was great. But this idea where you know,
- 1:39:49Speaker 3: as a parent, I'm now speaking because our son's going
- 1:39:52Speaker 3: to be seventeen here in a couple of months, and
- 1:39:55Speaker 3: now we're starting to think about all right, college and
- 1:39:58Speaker 3: moving on. Even if he goes to a talking to
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: my wife about this, even if he goes to the
- 1:40:01Speaker 3: community college which is right down the street, he's not going.
- 1:40:04Speaker 4: To live at our house. See, but that's your attitude.
- 1:40:06Speaker 3: Yeah, And here's the reason why, because I feel it's
- 1:40:09Speaker 3: super important because there will come a time when the
- 1:40:11Speaker 3: wife and I are not around. You need to learn
- 1:40:14Speaker 3: to live on your own. Now, I'm not saying he's
- 1:40:16Speaker 3: got to put up all because if we send him
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: off to a college somewhere that wasn't close, we'd be
- 1:40:21Speaker 3: paying for.
- 1:40:21Speaker 2: Room and board.
- 1:40:22Speaker 3: So I am fine, even hey, man, go find somebody
- 1:40:26Speaker 3: you want a room with and I'll cover most of
- 1:40:28Speaker 3: the rent foray. No, I'm able to do that, Okay,
- 1:40:32Speaker 3: But I feel so strongly about learning to live on
- 1:40:35Speaker 3: your own. The bills will be in your name. You
- 1:40:38Speaker 3: know those kind of things. Hey, I'm hungry, there's no
- 1:40:40Speaker 3: food in the house. Well, I should have gone to
- 1:40:42Speaker 3: the grocery store. You don't get that living in my
- 1:40:43Speaker 3: house because I know to have food in the house.
- 1:40:46Speaker 3: We have the things are already there. You never learned
- 1:40:49Speaker 3: to live on your own, so you know, do Youah, Now,
- 1:40:53Speaker 3: that's that's my own person. I think the biggest benefit
- 1:40:56Speaker 3: I got from going all these stupid boarding schools and
- 1:40:59Speaker 3: you know, these intervention things I got sent to desert
- 1:41:02Speaker 3: survival stuff is that, you know, I got that independence
- 1:41:05Speaker 3: out of it, and I feel like that has been
- 1:41:07Speaker 3: super beneficial in my in my adult life.
- 1:41:10Speaker 12: And the independence you're talking about still has a safety net,
- 1:41:13Speaker 12: which is like the best of both worlds. Like he's
- 1:41:15Speaker 12: learning how to be independent, but you're also helping him.
- 1:41:18Speaker 12: You're there, you didn't just disappear, So it makes a lot.
- 1:41:20Speaker 2: Of sense more than helping.
- 1:41:22Speaker 8: Though.
- 1:41:22Speaker 2: Yeah, he's going to pay the right That's what I'm saying.
- 1:41:24Speaker 3: I can't if he's he's not forever, that would be
- 1:41:26Speaker 3: that would be you know, the same if you would
- 1:41:28Speaker 3: pay for room and board during college. Yeah, because that's
- 1:41:32Speaker 3: the phase that you that that's what the whole part.
- 1:41:35Speaker 3: Part of that whole experience is learning to.
- 1:41:37Speaker 2: Be on your own right. And that's what I'm saying.
- 1:41:39Speaker 12: It's a win win because he's he's out of the house,
- 1:41:41Speaker 12: but he's still parents house.
- 1:41:43Speaker 2: I think I had twenty bucks.
- 1:41:44Speaker 3: Yeah, So my question is for you know, the people
- 1:41:48Speaker 3: who you know just just like you know, whether it's
- 1:41:51Speaker 3: necessary or not. And you have your kids, who are
- 1:41:55Speaker 3: you know? Somebody just texted over, like, my kids are
- 1:41:57Speaker 3: twenty whatever, twenty three and twenty eight. They both live home, Like,
- 1:42:01Speaker 3: how do you teach them to be?
- 1:42:02Speaker 2: Like?
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: No, I'm saying, like honestly, like I want to know, Like,
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: I'm just kind of curious because my wife and I
- 1:42:06Speaker 3: are having this conversation as now our kids are. My
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: son especially is getting a you know, to close to
- 1:42:13Speaker 3: being an adult technically, which you've been waiting for. How
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: like how do like, how do you teach that? How
- 1:42:20Speaker 3: do you instill that in them if they're just living
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: at your house?
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, how do you do that? A short chart? Yeah? Yeah?
- 1:42:31Speaker 4: Fine, Right, I just don't think they are if they're
- 1:42:35Speaker 4: like thirty years old and they're at the house, I
- 1:42:37Speaker 4: don't It kind of has to be where that thirty
- 1:42:41Speaker 4: year old has to make a decision on what they
- 1:42:44Speaker 4: want to do. Yeah, and do they want to be independent?
- 1:42:47Speaker 4: They have to be self motivate. You can tell them whatever,
- 1:42:51Speaker 4: you know. It's like when people are in a bad
- 1:42:52Speaker 4: relationship and you try to tell them, like, hey, you
- 1:42:54Speaker 4: should be out of this relationship. They don't listen to
- 1:42:56Speaker 4: you until they realize it themselves. They need to get
- 1:43:00Speaker 4: out of it.
- 1:43:00Speaker 3: Yeah, but if if they're if they're not interested in
- 1:43:04Speaker 3: doing that, then then what do you do? Exact them exactly.
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what you have to do. But somebody just
- 1:43:12Speaker 4: won't do that. That's my baby.
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: A new report looking at roommates and their ages, the
- 1:43:16Speaker 3: number of roommates under thirty five is decreasing, while the
- 1:43:19Speaker 3: number of roommates over thirty five is on the rise.
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: There's nothing sadder than like the fifty year old with
- 1:43:25Speaker 2: the roommates. You know what, I'd be fine with it.
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: I mean the personally it wouldn't be for me, but
- 1:43:30Speaker 3: I could see where that would be. Okay, you're you know, uh,
- 1:43:34Speaker 3: say you're fifty years old and divorced or something. Yeah, right,
- 1:43:38Speaker 3: you know whatever, it's it's fine. It's just a way
- 1:43:40Speaker 3: of sharing expense.
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: Cool.
- 1:43:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I can well rephrase that the fifty year old
- 1:43:44Speaker 5: who has to get a roommate, right, as opposed to like, oh,
- 1:43:47Speaker 5: I like this personally.
- 1:43:48Speaker 12: See best, you're onto something because when I would go
- 1:43:50Speaker 12: on dates and I like a super hot guy and
- 1:43:53Speaker 12: you'd take me back to his place and be.
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: Like, be quiet my roommate's sleeping.
- 1:43:58Speaker 6: Yeah, sign of mature.
- 1:44:00Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:44:01Speaker 3: The number of people who are older than thirty five
- 1:44:03Speaker 3: and looking for roommates has gone up by nearly twelve percent.
- 1:44:06Speaker 3: That's just over the last five years.
- 1:44:08Speaker 2: That sounds low though.
- 1:44:09Speaker 3: Now on the other side, the number of people under
- 1:44:11Speaker 3: thirty five has dropped by exactly twelve percent in that
- 1:44:14Speaker 3: time that same time frame, which I thought was interested.
- 1:44:16Speaker 3: They're living out their house because they are staying with
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: their parents as long they have other roommates as long
- 1:44:24Speaker 3: as they can.
- 1:44:25Speaker 11: I do have friends. I'm like, how do you have
- 1:44:26Speaker 11: so much damn money? But then I'm like, oh, yeah,
- 1:44:28Speaker 11: you're living with your parents and all that.
- 1:44:31Speaker 4: Yeah, But I'll say this, like people have all these
- 1:44:34Speaker 4: uh you know, nightmare roommates stories, you know, Morgan, But like, yes,
- 1:44:38Speaker 4: I loved having roommates.
- 1:44:39Speaker 2: It was fun.
- 1:44:40Speaker 3: I how do you feel about roommates? They're Morgan imates.
- 1:44:46Speaker 3: Yeah that had a couple of guys. I'll ask both
- 1:44:49Speaker 3: you and dumbass Tyler. So like, uh, I have things
- 1:44:52Speaker 3: calm down?
- 1:44:53Speaker 2: Is everything good now? Is there is? There is there
- 1:44:55Speaker 2: a peace?
- 1:44:56Speaker 6: I'm peaceful about him?
- 1:44:58Speaker 3: Well no, I'm just checking in everything. Okay, But I'm saying,
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: is everything good now?
- 1:45:04Speaker 6: Like it's it is what it is till it isn't.
- 1:45:08Speaker 2: Okay, Well, all right, there's answer.
- 1:45:11Speaker 11: I don't choose to have a roommate. I have to
- 1:45:13Speaker 11: do that as a sacrifice right now until I get
- 1:45:15Speaker 11: more money.
- 1:45:15Speaker 2: So what I'm saying like, yeah, i'd be okay, all right,
- 1:45:18Speaker 2: I just want to see if it was there. There's
- 1:45:20Speaker 2: the it is what it is till it is. We're
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: hoping for like more joyful energy, just keeping to himself
- 1:45:28Speaker 2: these days, which is fine? Because yeah, which is which
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: is fine.
- 1:45:32Speaker 3: Like if you just because you have a roommate doesn't
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: mean that you know, we have to go on adventures
- 1:45:36Speaker 3: to you have to be yeah, go on to go
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: to then I mean.
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: That would be great.
- 1:45:39Speaker 4: But if it's nothing, then but on the cheek or something.
- 1:45:43Speaker 3: Right, come here eight seven seven forty four Woodie, you
- 1:45:47Speaker 3: can send us a text over to two to nine
- 1:45:50Speaker 3: eight seven. Where do you find roommates now?
- 1:45:52Speaker 8: Oh, I don't know.
- 1:45:53Speaker 2: Is the Facebook?
- 1:45:54Speaker 4: I legit found roommates on Craigslists back in the.
- 1:45:58Speaker 6: Last roommates and then Facebook, there's Facebook face.
- 1:46:02Speaker 2: I would think work. You know, Morgan's like, yeah, yeah,
- 1:46:08Speaker 2: most of my roommates work, don't do that.
- 1:46:10Speaker 4: There were through work, but eventually, like when I had
- 1:46:13Speaker 4: to find people outside of work, I did it too,
- 1:46:17Speaker 4: but I would verify them through social media.
- 1:46:19Speaker 2: See.
- 1:46:19Speaker 3: I didn't want a roommate so hard that I just
- 1:46:23Speaker 3: rented that room in someone's house.
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: I love that. Yeah, because my whole old dudes that
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: will keep your way.
- 1:46:31Speaker 12: The thing was, if you're a friend's first and you
- 1:46:33Speaker 12: become roommates, that's going to end in disaster. I don't
- 1:46:36Speaker 12: know anyone's who who hasn't I minded other people's successful.
- 1:46:40Speaker 2: I've never had success with that. One of my best
- 1:46:42Speaker 2: friends was from roommates.
- 1:46:44Speaker 12: But you were already best friends and moved in together.
- 1:46:47Speaker 2: A coworker, but you were already.
- 1:46:49Speaker 12: Very good friends and decided to live together.
- 1:46:52Speaker 6: Oh that's the best.
- 1:46:52Speaker 2: That's like.
- 1:46:55Speaker 12: Is because like I loved I love living alone so
- 1:46:58Speaker 12: much that even if best friend of mine, I would
- 1:47:00Speaker 12: come home, see her car in the drive and go.
- 1:47:03Speaker 2: So I think it is a ge.
- 1:47:05Speaker 3: You got to have somebody who likes you, who doesn't
- 1:47:07Speaker 3: love you exactly, like like just enough to go, hey,
- 1:47:10Speaker 3: how's it going?
- 1:47:11Speaker 2: Everything cool?
- 1:47:12Speaker 3: Hey, just so you know, I have some leftovers from
- 1:47:15Speaker 3: you know whatever. It didn't touch them And they go
- 1:47:18Speaker 3: to their room and you hear the door closes.
- 1:47:20Speaker 2: You're like, perfect, yes, love that. Yeah, but not like
- 1:47:22Speaker 2: we're going to watch the show. Way that's the best
- 1:47:25Speaker 2: is when you have shows that you.
- 1:47:28Speaker 3: When you're when you're games, like when you're like with
- 1:47:32Speaker 3: a partner, like, okay, did.
- 1:47:34Speaker 12: We play guitars naked in our living room with no curtains?
- 1:47:37Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:47:38Speaker 12: In general, we need to to ourselves because when we were.
- 1:47:42Speaker 3: High high that's the I'm like, how does that come up?
- 1:47:47Speaker 2: What do you want to do? Have a guitar?
- 1:47:48Speaker 12: She comes out of her room and or like underwear.
- 1:47:50Speaker 12: I'm like, what are we doing? I don't know, you
- 1:47:52Speaker 12: want to play guitars?
- 1:47:55Speaker 2: You're getting Greg gone, do more than play guitar? Play guitars? Okay,
- 1:48:04Speaker 2: I think I know what that is. Yeah, this is
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: the Woodie Show, all right, So I'm thinking the smart
- 1:48:09Speaker 2: Ass game rap.
- 1:48:12Speaker 3: Now as far as who plays, I'm thinking either Battle
- 1:48:19Speaker 3: of Smarties so between Greg and like Sea Bass like that.
- 1:48:26Speaker 2: We've done that a lot. Did I just get dumber
- 1:48:29Speaker 2: by the minute? Or do we do Battle of the Roommates?
- 1:48:36Speaker 6: I think we've done it already.
- 1:48:37Speaker 2: We did do it, but it was fun.
- 1:48:39Speaker 3: Yeah, But I was going to offer up like I'll
- 1:48:41Speaker 3: give the winner two hundred bucks toward the rent.
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: That's great. But we already did that though, guys, So
- 1:48:47Speaker 2: I guess we are.
- 1:48:51Speaker 11: Because if I lose, I'm going to be upset and
- 1:48:53Speaker 11: then nobody either way you win because the rents getting paid.
- 1:48:58Speaker 6: It was going to get paid, and I'm already paying more.
- 1:49:01Speaker 6: That's gonna be.
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: Here's what I can see that doormat doing is splitting
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: it no matter what, right, well, no, hold on.
- 1:49:06Speaker 3: So out of guilt, I'm just I'm throwing it out, okay,
- 1:49:11Speaker 3: I mean Tyler get okay, he shrugging his shoulders like
- 1:49:15Speaker 3: her in her?
- 1:49:16Speaker 2: Are you not interested? So he's not interested either?
- 1:49:18Speaker 3: Wow, I've been like man, I thought, like, you know,
- 1:49:22Speaker 3: I could do something nice offerings like.
- 1:49:24Speaker 2: A good idea character for Morgan.
- 1:49:26Speaker 11: I mean, I want the money. I'm just scared of
- 1:49:28Speaker 11: losing my brain's not working early on set, not.
- 1:49:32Speaker 2: Eating all over the place.
- 1:49:36Speaker 3: Like Oh you know what she she offered me yesterday,
- 1:49:40Speaker 3: she said, hey, if you still want to go to
- 1:49:42Speaker 3: Philly for the fight, oh yeah, she goes, you could
- 1:49:46Speaker 3: still go.
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: I go.
- 1:49:47Speaker 6: What great news.
- 1:49:48Speaker 3: I thought tickets were gone for the sold out for
- 1:49:52Speaker 3: the big Morgan fight.
- 1:49:53Speaker 2: Yeah they were, they were.
- 1:49:55Speaker 3: But now you can get a ticket to be at
- 1:49:59Speaker 3: her ohs us in an adjacent room to watch it
- 1:50:03Speaker 3: on a screen.
- 1:50:06Speaker 2: That bit different. Why would I do that?
- 1:50:10Speaker 11: It's overflow rooms that huge, popping damn overflow.
- 1:50:16Speaker 6: You can go there.
- 1:50:16Speaker 5: Yeah, let's not forget. I don't think I've made this.
- 1:50:18Speaker 5: I said this on air, but I'm the only person
- 1:50:20Speaker 5: who has got hotel and I'll all travel. I'm already
- 1:50:23Speaker 5: booked and it doesn't have a ticket to get in though,
- 1:50:25Speaker 5: because it's sold out so fast.
- 1:50:26Speaker 2: I can try and work something else well for the
- 1:50:28Speaker 2: overflow to try the game time app I try are
- 1:50:33Speaker 2: the tickets? Are their tickets on the secondary market.
- 1:50:36Speaker 6: I've been checked. Actually, I'm not sure I'll get right now,
- 1:50:39Speaker 6: i'd be surprised geek.
- 1:50:41Speaker 2: So they have a way to get in though.
- 1:50:42Speaker 3: You can.
- 1:50:43Speaker 2: You can submit to be a an artist to have
- 1:50:45Speaker 2: your your song play during the walk ins.
- 1:50:48Speaker 6: Can you please?
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: They have got that take.
- 1:50:51Speaker 6: Here's the thing. I don't get a walkout song. It's
- 1:50:53Speaker 6: gonna be one of these sound Yeah.
- 1:50:58Speaker 5: I think they make the soundloud rappers pay cause as
- 1:51:00Speaker 5: they I tried to buy them out, right, so I submitted.
- 1:51:03Speaker 5: They haven't got back to me because I submitted by
- 1:51:05Speaker 5: Tyler song about it.
- 1:51:07Speaker 2: Oh that's what you submitted. Yes, I don't think they
- 1:51:11Speaker 2: thought I was serious. Oh week, Well, I mean I
- 1:51:14Speaker 2: figured they would take your money. Yeah, they didn't. Even
- 1:51:16Speaker 2: they didn't hit me back. I was like two weeks
- 1:51:18Speaker 2: agoted and the song would fire. Morgan upf.
- 1:51:24Speaker 8: Uh No.
- 1:51:24Speaker 11: They said that they've already signed the contracts with the
- 1:51:26Speaker 11: artists because I tried to pay them out and so
- 1:51:28Speaker 11: that I could play whatever I wanted with what Well,
- 1:51:31Speaker 11: I have a friend.
- 1:51:32Speaker 2: You're asking us for like money for your like outfit whatever.
- 1:51:36Speaker 2: They call it the fight Care.
- 1:51:37Speaker 11: It's sponsored by what He Show. It's got what Show
- 1:51:39Speaker 11: on it because you offered. But I have people that
- 1:51:41Speaker 11: care about me.
- 1:51:42Speaker 6: They want to see me.
- 1:51:43Speaker 3: You just turned down two hundred dollars four minutes ago, right,
- 1:51:46Speaker 3: I think I think Morgan's secretly rich.
- 1:51:48Speaker 2: Yep, that's how I'm guessing.
- 1:51:50Speaker 3: She's willing to let's pay pay off the people so
- 1:51:56Speaker 3: she can have her own intro song.
- 1:51:58Speaker 6: Someone was going to pay them off, but that wasn't.
- 1:52:01Speaker 2: You're independently wealthy.
- 1:52:02Speaker 12: We understand, not just I have friends, not just game sponsors,
- 1:52:05Speaker 12: but life sponsors.
- 1:52:07Speaker 2: How well is the the the other business that you
- 1:52:10Speaker 2: have is it?
- 1:52:11Speaker 8: Oh?
- 1:52:11Speaker 2: Yeah, still going?
- 1:52:12Speaker 6: Which one?
- 1:52:13Speaker 3: The one with the socks and underwear?
- 1:52:15Speaker 2: Underwear?

- 1:52:44Speaker 3: I saw you posted something on your didn't there they
- 1:52:46Speaker 3: were for sale. I thought you hadn't made up for
- 1:52:48Speaker 3: your fight, like you were gonna wear it for your fight.
- 1:52:50Speaker 11: I'm going to go to sell them because I don't
- 1:52:52Speaker 11: get pay per view money, so this is my way
- 1:52:54Speaker 11: of trying to make a few dollars.
- 1:52:56Speaker 6: But yeah, literally, so talk about yeah literally, you know.
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: You can do after the fight.
- 1:53:01Speaker 3: I'm sure there's gonna be a bunch of people there
- 1:53:03Speaker 3: at the fight who would be you should set up
- 1:53:04Speaker 3: like a sock booth. Yeah, between now and just collect
- 1:53:12Speaker 3: all the socks underwear that you're wearing during training and
- 1:53:14Speaker 3: then keep them all zipped up in the bags, right
- 1:53:19Speaker 3: and then yeah, and then afterwards. You know how the
- 1:53:21Speaker 3: comics sell their crap after the show. You could buy
- 1:53:23Speaker 3: their hats and shirts things like that. Yeah, at the show, guys,
- 1:53:27Speaker 3: they'll be in the back of the room. If you
- 1:53:29Speaker 3: want to stop buying, get a little merch. Yeah. Overflow room,
- 1:53:33Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, get stuff in the overflow room and you
- 1:53:35Speaker 3: can sell that stuff there.
- 1:53:36Speaker 11: I mean I should be saving it up. God, my
- 1:53:38Speaker 11: room would stink if I was washing clothes.
- 1:53:41Speaker 2: All right, So.
- 1:53:43Speaker 3: All right, well they're there. They don't want to do
- 1:53:45Speaker 3: the Battle of roommates. So we'll have the battle of
- 1:53:46Speaker 3: the smartest. Now it's going to between Greg and Gina,
- 1:53:50Speaker 3: Gina and Gina, and.
- 1:53:53Speaker 2: I just feel like I always do smart as really,
- 1:53:56Speaker 2: all right, how about this? And then you always win
- 1:53:58Speaker 2: the hat and.
- 1:54:02Speaker 3: Yeah, so we'll put all three names of the three
- 1:54:04Speaker 3: smartest people in this room and we'll the first two
- 1:54:08Speaker 3: names to come out.
- 1:54:08Speaker 2: Are the two people to play. All right, all right,
- 1:54:16Speaker 2: all right, so.
- 1:54:17Speaker 3: Around the smart Ass game. It's a real it's a
- 1:54:20Speaker 3: real game. It's called smart Ass and it's like those
- 1:54:24Speaker 3: bar trivia things that you see where the screen it starts.
- 1:54:28Speaker 3: It gets like more specific as it goes on. Eliminates
- 1:54:32Speaker 3: options and the same kind of idea with who, what
- 1:54:35Speaker 3: and where categories and then it's clues that are very
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: generic at first, they get more specific and it's the
- 1:54:41Speaker 3: first person to get two out of three. Yeah, they're
- 1:54:46Speaker 3: gonna be the let's do three out of four. That's
- 1:54:49Speaker 3: fuzy because they're smart people might be pretty quick.
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: I have to blow through these. Yeah. I think this
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: game is kind of hard. And I don't know why.
- 1:54:55Speaker 2: You think there's some kind of conspiracy to get you
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: to play. I don't know.
- 1:54:59Speaker 12: I'm so sick of the playing this game of it
- 1:55:03Speaker 12: for some reason, even though I always went it stresses
- 1:55:05Speaker 12: me out so bad.
- 1:55:06Speaker 2: Okay, well that's you know, because you're you're on you're
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: on the spot, that's the thing. Yeah, all right, so.
- 1:55:12Speaker 3: Smarties, we have three, uh the smartest people in the room,
- 1:55:16Speaker 3: which would be Sea Bass, Greg and Gina Fluttered. I
- 1:55:20Speaker 3: made Gina watch as I wrote each one of those
- 1:55:22Speaker 3: names down so she could there are three in there.
- 1:55:28Speaker 3: Go ahead, draw the first one out, Morgan, I want
- 1:55:30Speaker 3: to touch it. Yeah, I won't even touch it. What's
- 1:55:34Speaker 3: the first name?
- 1:55:35Speaker 6: God baldy.
- 1:55:39Speaker 2: That's a disqualifications and it's either gonna be gregor Gina.
- 1:55:46Speaker 2: There's only two other.
- 1:55:47Speaker 6: Next one is Greg.
- 1:55:53Speaker 2: I'm so excited. Now for extra fun, for extra fun,
- 1:55:58Speaker 2: decided that we're gonna have men as read clear awesome.
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: So there there's the first there's the first round. So
- 1:56:08Speaker 2: Greg will let you choose first, who, what or where?
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: Let's start with where where? All right?
- 1:56:15Speaker 3: Just find the where card man, enough the first chance.
- 1:56:18Speaker 2: Take the paper clip off. Yeah yeah, okay, you ready?
- 1:56:25Speaker 2: Where where a right?
- 1:56:27Speaker 4: I am a European city, I am the capital of
- 1:56:31Speaker 4: my country. I have one thousand pubs where you can drinks, Bess,
- 1:56:39Speaker 4: I will go with Dublin Sea Bass.
- 1:56:42Speaker 3: You are correct, all right, So Sea Bass has one
- 1:56:46Speaker 3: point here in this round of the smart ass game.
- 1:56:49Speaker 2: All right? So do you want to go with uh
- 1:56:52Speaker 2: one of my Wait before you do that, I know
- 1:56:54Speaker 2: Sea best.
- 1:56:55Speaker 12: Sometimes you like to clarify this that if you guess
- 1:56:57Speaker 12: and you're wrong, you sit one out right right.
- 1:56:58Speaker 5: Otherwise, if you sit out river, it just becomes too easy. Correct,
- 1:57:01Speaker 5: so you're out for one one one further clue or
- 1:57:06Speaker 5: they get one freebie.
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: Who am I? Or what am I? I'll go with
- 1:57:09Speaker 2: a what am I? All right? What am I? All right?
- 1:57:16Speaker 4: I am a device? I don't like loud noises. Alexander
- 1:57:22Speaker 4: Graham Bell studied my uses.
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: I don't like.
- 1:57:31Speaker 4: Spidal meningitis sometimes leads to my use.
- 1:57:37Speaker 2: Mass mass hearing A that is correct? Wow? Wow, not
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: even attempt to try that? Why nice? Nice, nice job,
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: fin Greg? You might need yeah, what's that? You might
- 1:57:54Speaker 2: need one of these?
- 1:57:54Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:57:55Speaker 5: Getting did you see neuralink? I think gave a blind
- 1:57:58Speaker 5: person site the other day something like that, But they're
- 1:58:01Speaker 5: using it for tonight as well.
- 1:58:02Speaker 2: Which I need hearing aid pretty bad? All right?
- 1:58:06Speaker 3: So we got the next one out, need one more
- 1:58:09Speaker 3: point coast exactly alright, So it's the last, the last
- 1:58:16Speaker 3: one that we have left here.
- 1:58:17Speaker 2: We had a where, we had a what, and this
- 1:58:20Speaker 2: is a who? Who am whom am I?
- 1:58:24Speaker 8: There we go.
- 1:58:25Speaker 2: We are an American rock band.
- 1:58:28Speaker 4: Our music could be described as psychedelic country. Ben and
- 1:58:33Speaker 4: Jerry created an I see that?
- 1:58:35Speaker 2: Correct?
- 1:58:38Speaker 8: What is p h I?
- 1:58:41Speaker 2: S h fish? That is incorrect? Guess, but I get
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: to hear one more clue. All we know.
- 1:58:51Speaker 4: Jack Straw, August West and Casey Jones.
- 1:58:55Speaker 3: There you go.
- 1:58:57Speaker 2: I'm gonna guess, Grate, did that help it? All?
- 1:58:59Speaker 1: That?
- 1:59:00Speaker 2: Is that correct? I don't even know who those people are. Greig,
- 1:59:05Speaker 2: you are correct? All right?
- 1:59:07Speaker 3: So Greg, you now have a point a Greg and
- 1:59:12Speaker 3: because you are the underdog at this point, correct, I
- 1:59:16Speaker 3: will let you choose for the fourth question.
- 1:59:20Speaker 2: What am I? Where am I? Or whoever? Let's try
- 1:59:26Speaker 2: where again? All right? Where where am I?
- 1:59:30Speaker 8: All?
- 1:59:31Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:59:31Speaker 8: Here we go.
- 1:59:31Speaker 3: Menace has the the next card. There where am I?
- 1:59:36Speaker 3: You're doing a great job, Menace, job buddy.
- 1:59:41Speaker 4: I am a densely populated island. I am in the
- 1:59:46Speaker 4: Atlantic Ocean. Over seven million people live on me. I
- 1:59:52Speaker 4: am the largest island in the.
- 1:59:56Speaker 2: Damn it conticulous ship? Right answer, I will say Cuba.
- 2:00:03Speaker 2: That is incorrect.
- 2:00:07Speaker 3: Greg can get this clue all to yourself.
- 2:00:10Speaker 4: Mariah Carey and Rosie o'donald were born here.
- 2:00:14Speaker 2: That doesn't o'donald they were born here. I'm gonna make
- 2:00:20Speaker 2: a gas why not, right, I should make one Puerto
- 2:00:23Speaker 2: Rico incorrect. So you're back in Sea Bass. Yeah, I
- 2:00:28Speaker 2: got it, all.
- 2:00:29Speaker 4: Right, Brooklyn and Queens are part of me?
- 2:00:36Speaker 2: What is New York? There's no way to know what? Wait?
- 2:00:39Speaker 2: What incorrect? Sea Bass? Yeah? All right? All right, Greg,
- 2:00:45Speaker 2: you have another one all to yourself. I think I
- 2:00:47Speaker 2: might know it all right, Oh damn it? All right,
- 2:00:49Speaker 2: here we go. I contained JFK and Laguaria Airports. Okay,
- 2:00:54Speaker 2: I'm gonna guess Manhattan incorrect. This is the easiest one.
- 2:01:01Speaker 2: Queens incorrect. Okay, So I got this one. Here's the
- 2:01:06Speaker 2: question there we go to We both get that one wrong? Okay?
- 2:01:12Speaker 2: Where I? Where am I?
- 2:01:16Speaker 4: With the initials?
- 2:01:18Speaker 2: Lay? Are you got that? We both got but we
- 2:01:22Speaker 2: both we both flowed on that last one. Yeah. No,
- 2:01:25Speaker 2: you guess queen, and then you guess something else too.
- 2:01:27Speaker 3: But you're wait hold on the question question for the game, like,
- 2:01:30Speaker 3: so Greg gets it wrong? Sea Bass allowed to immediately
- 2:01:33Speaker 3: jump in before the next clue is read. They can't
- 2:01:38Speaker 3: both guess on the same thing.
- 2:01:40Speaker 5: Some person buzzed in first, but he said he didn't.
- 2:01:42Speaker 5: I let him start his sentence, so I didn't wait
- 2:01:45Speaker 5: till before he started that last reading, like let him incorrect, right,
- 2:01:49Speaker 5: we both incorrect, so that I can't can't each other's out.
- 2:01:52Speaker 2: Then I jumped in after he started saying it. Everything's
- 2:01:58Speaker 2: fair as he know.
- 2:02:00Speaker 4: Yeah, they both had incorrect answers, so they cancel each
- 2:02:02Speaker 4: other out.
- 2:02:03Speaker 2: So okay, good, next question? Yeah, but I wait until
- 2:02:05Speaker 2: he started. Yeah, and then who did you buzzing first? Okay?
- 2:02:08Speaker 2: And I that was just a mi misunderstanding, you said, Greg,
- 2:02:11Speaker 2: all right, so long I am. Yeah. I thought I
- 2:02:14Speaker 2: thought that was my clue aka Strong Island. Why why
- 2:02:18Speaker 2: is it every game? End of the fight. I'm not argument,
- 2:02:21Speaker 2: I'm just confused.
- 2:02:22Speaker 3: I thought that was my clue clarification, all right, Well,
