equivalent to approximately $3 ,500 in the United

States. This pricing strategy may reflect the

impact of tariffs imposed by President Donald

Trump. Sony has not confirmed if tariffs influence

• 8:46
Let's talk science. Purple isn't a color that
• 8:50
exists on the visual spectrum, but rather a pigment
• 8:53
of our imagination. The human eye perceives purple
• 8:57
as a combination of wavelengths from opposite
• 9:00
ends of the spectrum. When red and blue wavelengths
• 9:03
are detected, our brain creatively bends the
• 9:06
visual spectrum into a circle, allowing us to
• 9:09
see purple. Unlike violet, which has its own
• 9:13
wavelength, purple arises from our brain's effort
• 9:16
to resolve confusion. This phenomenon illustrates
• 9:20
how our perception can create non -spectral colors,
• 9:24
making purple a captivating illusion grounded
• 9:27
in physics and neuroscience. And in entertainment
• 9:33
news, China's film administration announced on
• 9:37
Thursday that it will moderately reduce the number
• 9:40
of American films imported amid escalating trade
• 9:43
tensions. This shift comes as President Trump
• 9:46
raised tariffs on Chinese goods to 145%. Although
• 9:52
not a complete ban, the agency did not specify
• 9:55
how many U .S. films would be allowed. Hollywood's
• 9:59
box office performance in China dropped significantly,
• 10:02
still about 75 % below its peak in 2017. Analysts
• 10:08
note that while local films dominate, American
• 10:11
blockbusters remain crucial for drawing audiences
• 10:14
to theaters and boosting consumer spending in
• 10:17
China. Well, alrighty folks, it's time for the
• 10:22
quote of the day. And today, our quote comes
• 10:26
from the Lebanese -American poet and philosopher,
• 10:29
Khalil Gibran. And he said, Trust in dreams,
• 10:34
for in them is hidden the gate to eternity. And
• 10:39
that's a wrap for this morning. You can check
