- 0:07Speaker 1: The season with Peter Schrager is a production of the
- 0:09Speaker 1: NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio. I think this was a
- 0:29Speaker 1: really cool ride and a really special team. But I
- 0:31Speaker 1: do think they are going to be everybody's bandwagon squad
- 0:34Speaker 1: going into next year because for good reason, they have
- 0:38Speaker 1: huge salary cap availability where they can actually bring in
- 0:40Speaker 1: more skill position players in a year that has a
- 0:43Speaker 1: lot of attractive free agents at wide receiver and tight end.
- 0:47Speaker 1: You also mentioned that Jaden Daniels he played well yesterday.
- 0:51Speaker 1: They turned the ball over a bunch. Jaden Daniels was
- 0:54Speaker 1: great yesterday. You're a Commander's fan. Life is good. One
- 0:57Speaker 1: more note, Cliff Kingsbury and Daniels had this incredible connection.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Cliff did not interview for any of these jobs. He
- 1:03Speaker 1: wasn't asked to interview for some and the ones that
- 1:05Speaker 1: thinks said I'm going to wait until after our season,
- 1:07Speaker 1: well their season went into basically February and those jobs.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Are filled, so he's coming back.
- 1:12Speaker 1: There's a lot to like about this Commander's team.
- 1:14Speaker 2: The one note I will make not that.
- 1:16Speaker 1: It was lightning in a bottle, but it was really
- 1:18Speaker 1: cool to see like Bobby Wagner get another shot at
- 1:21Speaker 1: almost getting to a super Bowl, and zach Ertz almost
- 1:25Speaker 1: getting to another super Bowl.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Even some guys.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Who aren't in the same class as that as far
- 1:30Speaker 1: as years in the league, but like Austin Eckler, we
- 1:32Speaker 1: don't know if he's ever going to get this far
- 1:34Speaker 1: again in his career. And players that we have learned
- 1:37Speaker 1: to love from those Chiefs teams and Wiley and Ala Ghretti.
- 1:40Speaker 1: This is a really good team that's made of young
- 1:43Speaker 1: players but also veterans. But I think with the way
- 1:46Speaker 1: that Adam Peters built this thing this year and the
- 1:49Speaker 1: salary cap room they have going into next year, they're
- 1:51Speaker 1: going to be an attractive frige and destination.
- 1:54Speaker 2: They will be better on paper next year.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Now, can they catch that lightning in a bottle and
- 1:58Speaker 1: win all those Hail Mary games and the walk offs?
- 2:01Speaker 2: I don't know. It's really hard to be great two.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Years in a row and you're one of these upstart teams.
- 2:05Speaker 1: But they will have a better roster. I think a
- 2:07Speaker 1: lot of free agents are going to want to play there,
- 2:08Speaker 1: and they're gonna spend money in the offseason.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Well, when that.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Ground game is working for Philly, it is very scary
- 2:15Speaker 1: and when you combine it with a passing game networks,
- 2:18Speaker 1: you get fifty five points and you get complete domination.
- 2:23Speaker 2: They scored seven rushing.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Touchdowns yesterday, and not only in just a football game,
- 2:27Speaker 1: in an NFC championship game.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Seven rushing touchdowns.
- 2:31Speaker 1: The first one might be my favorite Saquon run of all,
- 2:34Speaker 1: and this includes the amazing Divisional round run in the
- 2:37Speaker 1: snow with the NFL film's music. It's just because you've
- 2:40Speaker 1: felt the tension and the stress in that building, and
- 2:43Speaker 1: then the first play from Carrie sa Quad's like, I'll
- 2:45Speaker 1: take care of that, and then it's just an avalanche
- 2:48Speaker 1: from there. This game got close at points, there were
- 2:50Speaker 1: moments there were and then the defense cost turnovers and
- 2:54Speaker 1: then Philadelphia just ran away from it from there. Seven
- 2:58Speaker 1: rushing touchdowns the touch push, whereas the Bills couldn't convert them,
- 3:03Speaker 1: and we've seen other teams fail trying to do it.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It might be just a Philly thing.
- 3:07Speaker 1: It might be because of the offensive line coach Jeff Stoutlin.
- 3:10Speaker 1: It might because of the way that Jalen Hurts's body
- 3:12Speaker 1: is built. It might be just because they practiced it
- 3:15Speaker 1: so darn much. Seven rushing touchdowns in an NFC Championship game,
- 3:21Speaker 1: the most ever in a Championship game round was five.
- 3:26Speaker 1: They added two more after the fact, with one of
- 3:28Speaker 1: them being from Will Shipley, who is their backups backup
- 3:32Speaker 1: in the running backs room, who everyone was so excited
- 3:35Speaker 1: for to see. Get it the rookie atta Clemson a
- 3:37Speaker 1: complete domination. And if you're Kansas City and you think
- 3:40Speaker 1: you're gonna cake walk to that third Super Bowl win,
- 3:42Speaker 1: you're gonna be watching game tape and you're gonna be
- 3:44Speaker 1: seeing a team that can bully you, a team that's
- 3:47Speaker 1: probably a little bit more physical in the ground game,
- 3:50Speaker 1: and a team that has absolutely no fear piling it on.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Philadelphia was very impressive yesterday. They saved their best offensive
- 3:57Speaker 1: game for the most important one, their NFC Championship round,
- 4:00Speaker 1: where I think they showed a lot of people they
- 4:02Speaker 1: are relentless and they will keep punching you and punching
- 4:05Speaker 1: you in the face, and they.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Don't how many Russian touchdown seven.
- 4:09Speaker 1: There's been a lot of frustration with Eagles fans about
- 4:12Speaker 1: the offense and that it's not.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Creative, and then they don't do it.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know where Kellen Moore had this playbook,
- 4:17Speaker 1: but last night he opened it up.
- 4:18Speaker 2: You saw jet sweeps with the tight end. You saw
- 4:21Speaker 2: it to godd Or getting handoff, all.
- 4:22Speaker 1: These different running backs getting involved. They had such great
- 4:25Speaker 1: dynamic plays on the passing game.
- 4:28Speaker 2: It really does. It's amazing that you can get.
- 4:30Speaker 1: To the NFC Championship game this far into the season,
- 4:33Speaker 1: and they had this amazing season leading up to it,
- 4:35Speaker 1: but that they saved their best for last. They are
- 4:38Speaker 1: coming into the Super Bowl having played their best offensive
- 4:41Speaker 1: game of the season, and I feel really confident that
- 4:44Speaker 1: if Jalen Hurts plays that way and if obviously the
- 4:47Speaker 1: running game could score that kind of seven touchdowns and they're
- 4:49Speaker 1: not gonna do that, But if they can get that
- 4:51Speaker 1: game going, and if Kellen More can call that game,
- 4:53Speaker 1: they have as good a shot as anyone in.
- 4:54Speaker 2: The NFL to knock off this Chiefs.
- 4:57Speaker 1: You only want to have the best from these teams
- 5:00Speaker 1: when you get the build up that we had in
- 5:02Speaker 1: this game, and you can't ask for anything more than
- 5:05Speaker 1: the inspiring protagonist in a lot of ways, Josh Allen
- 5:10Speaker 1: going up against the big bullies.
- 5:12Speaker 2: That have been in his way his entire career.
- 5:14Speaker 1: You can only ask for what he had and that
- 5:16Speaker 1: was down three in the fourth quarter with the ball
- 5:20Speaker 1: in his hands, and we go right to it, and
- 5:22Speaker 1: it's like, all right, we've got the opportunity here.
- 5:26Speaker 2: This was on first down of this drive.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Okay, incomplete, second down, get to complete. Now you have
- 5:33Speaker 1: the third down and you're setting it up and it's
- 5:35Speaker 1: third five. They throw a little slot screen here to Cooper,
- 5:38Speaker 1: sets up fourth.
- 5:39Speaker 2: And five, and then the play that does it all.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Steve Spagnolo says, it's not happening today. Steve Spagnolo, who
- 5:47Speaker 1: has been an absolute riverboat gambler his entire career as
- 5:50Speaker 1: a defensive coordinator. Look at the play call they didn't
- 5:53Speaker 1: call on all night, the corner blitz. It's McDuffie who
- 5:57Speaker 1: then fades back, and then of course Kinkaid had a chance.
- 6:01Speaker 1: I just think we talk about the courage of these
- 6:05Speaker 1: quarterbacks and these all defensive coordinators and these running backs.
- 6:08Speaker 2: March.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Defense still matters, and when it mattered most, it was
- 6:12Speaker 1: Spagnolo and it was the defense from the Chiefs who
- 6:16Speaker 1: made the big play. After the game, the athletics writer
- 6:20Speaker 1: Zach Kiefer was in the locker room, and Zach was
- 6:22Speaker 1: in evening all the defensive players and the owner and
- 6:25Speaker 1: Clark Huntsett and Spags we Trust, which has been a
- 6:27Speaker 1: T shirt that they've been wearing in Kansas City for years.
- 6:31Speaker 1: This was the line from Brian Cook, who played very
- 6:33Speaker 1: well number six on the Chiefs. He says, the way
- 6:36Speaker 1: Spags preaches it, life is all about risk. The question
- 6:41Speaker 1: is who's confident enough to take that risk, and in
- 6:45Speaker 1: this case it is the Kansas City Chiefs. We go
- 6:48Speaker 1: back to the Super Bowl last year, similar situation, fourth
- 6:52Speaker 1: and five. McDuffie's number is called as well, and he's
- 6:56Speaker 1: the one who blintzes party on the third and four.
- 6:59Speaker 1: It's what Spags does. It's the right time, it's the
- 7:02Speaker 1: right play call.
- 7:04Speaker 2: And I know Josh Allen is hurting this morning, and I.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Know Bills fans are aching this morning. Don't take this
- 7:11Speaker 1: away from the Chiefs. This was all three facets, offense,
- 7:16Speaker 1: special teams, and when it mattered most, it was the defense.
- 7:20Speaker 1: My takeaway in Spags we Trust and the Chiefs are
- 7:24Speaker 1: going to another Super Bowl appearance. And it's not just
- 7:26Speaker 1: because of Mahomes and Kelsey and on Andy Reid. Spags
- 7:29Speaker 1: in that defense showed up when they needed to last
- 7:31Speaker 1: night and they stopped Josh Allen. James Cook was as
- 7:35Speaker 1: good as Jamier Gibbs say, Kwon Barkley, anybody you want that,
- 7:38Speaker 1: you say is the best. Derrick Henry, he was there.
- 7:40Speaker 1: The offensive line did their job. Matt Collins played the
- 7:43Speaker 1: game of his life like. I didn't feel like there
- 7:45Speaker 1: were such a great roster disparity last night.
- 7:47Speaker 2: I really didn't. I just think in the biggest of moments,
- 7:50Speaker 2: it was the Chiefs that stepped up. And I look
- 7:53Speaker 2: at it, it's like.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Josh Allen, that image of him on the sideline, like
- 7:56Speaker 1: he's a very sympathetic figure now moving forward. I think
- 7:59Speaker 1: a lot of people really felt Josh Allen last night
- 8:02Speaker 1: that this isn't a young buck who's gonna have a
- 8:04Speaker 1: million shots. That he felt like this was the one
- 8:07Speaker 1: and he couldn't do anything about it. As they bled
- 8:09Speaker 1: the clock, as Isaiah so eloquently put it, they knew
- 8:12Speaker 1: that they need to get a third and nine, and
- 8:14Speaker 1: they threw the ball to samajip Ran, who stays and bounds,
- 8:16Speaker 1: and at that moment, Josh Allen doesn't get a chance
- 8:19Speaker 1: to answer. He doesn't get his thirteen second moment again,
- 8:21Speaker 1: because it just wasn't there, but Jamie.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I thought it was such.
- 8:24Speaker 1: A well played game in both sides of anything. I
- 8:26Speaker 1: have questions about what Kyle was alluding to Joe Brady
- 8:29Speaker 1: and Sean McDermott's decisions in some of these two point
- 8:31Speaker 1: conversions and fourth and shorts. That stuff matters, and whereas
- 8:34Speaker 1: the Chiefs continue to get it and get it and
- 8:36Speaker 1: get it, the Bills simply did not. I think we
- 8:39Speaker 1: saw a different version of Mahomes yesterday and in the
- 8:43Speaker 1: post game. He didn't say anything that was inflammatory. He
- 8:46Speaker 1: didn't do anything that you would think it was out
- 8:49Speaker 1: of the norm for him.
- 8:50Speaker 2: He just got the job done.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Then he went on his Twitter and basically had the
- 8:54Speaker 1: Kermit sipping the tee.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I think Mahomes here's it all.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I think Mahomes saw when the NFL Network had its
- 9:02Speaker 1: top one hundred players list and he wasn't voted in
- 9:04Speaker 1: the top three after winning his and straight Super Bowl.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I think Patrick Mahomes saw that he didn't get a
- 9:10Speaker 1: single first team All Pro vote at quarterback this year,
- 9:14Speaker 1: despite the fact he lost one regular season game. I
- 9:17Speaker 1: think Patrick Mahomes watched from Afar as there was a
- 9:21Speaker 1: blood thirsty debate over whether Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson
- 9:26Speaker 1: was the best player in football this season, and he
- 9:29Speaker 1: wasn't included in a single.
- 9:30Speaker 2: One of those conversations.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I think Patrick Mahomes saw the MVP finalists for NFL
- 9:37Speaker 1: Honors and saw that not only was a Kansas City
- 9:40Speaker 1: chief not mentioned, he wasn't even considered. Patrick Mahomes has
- 9:44Speaker 1: not been mentioned. Patrick Mahomes has not been considered, and
- 9:47Speaker 1: Patrick Mahomes has not been voted in any of these
- 9:51Speaker 1: postseason awards where it's just littered with Ravens and Bills
- 9:56Speaker 1: and Eagles. I also think Patrick Mahomes might have read
- 10:00Speaker 1: or heard a few narratives about the officiating and how
- 10:03Speaker 1: the Chiefs get the benefit of the call that he
- 10:07Speaker 1: gets the benefit of the call, so much so that
- 10:09Speaker 1: I think Patrick Mahomes.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Mahomes, a player who does not need any.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Extra motivation, had extra motivation yesterday and has extra motivation now.
- 10:18Speaker 1: For Patrick Mahomes to tweet the meme of Kermit, who
- 10:21Speaker 1: many say he sounds like sipping the tea after the game,
- 10:25Speaker 1: it tells me he saw it all, he read it all,
- 10:29Speaker 1: and he absorbed it all. This is a different version
- 10:33Speaker 1: of Mahomes I think Patrick Mahomes, who is very happily married,
- 10:36Speaker 1: has three wonderful children, and has all the personal and
- 10:39Speaker 1: team accolades you can imagine, is ready to perhaps wear
- 10:43Speaker 1: the black hat. No quarterback has ever won three straight
- 10:47Speaker 1: Super Bowls. Patrick Mahomes is now fourteen days away of
- 10:51Speaker 1: saying he was that guy.
- 10:54Speaker 2: And I think he.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Likes the fact that the NFL fans are against him,
- 10:57Speaker 1: the NFL voters are against him, and maybe they think
- 11:02Speaker 1: that this guy's been getting the benefit of the doubt.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I like this version of Mahomes almost like he's going
- 11:07Speaker 1: to the dark side a little bit. He's leaning in,
- 11:09Speaker 1: and I'm here for it. Nick's having a moment right now,
- 11:28Speaker 1: you know, he said, a lot of people doubt us,
- 11:29Speaker 1: there's a lot of doubt. There's all this stuff. That
- 11:31Speaker 1: was a dominant performance. And watching Cam Jurgens in the
- 11:35Speaker 1: post game, they had him in the locker room and
- 11:36Speaker 1: they're talking and they said, how'd you gut it out?
- 11:38Speaker 1: How'd you find a way to play? You were hurt
- 11:40Speaker 1: the whole thing. And he kept on, kept on referencing
- 11:43Speaker 1: Sirianni and the belief that Sirianni has in him and
- 11:45Speaker 1: the trust they have in Sirianni doesn't look like some
- 11:47Speaker 1: dumbity as he's going to his second Super Bowl in
- 11:50Speaker 1: three years, doesn't you know?
- 11:52Speaker 2: It's cool.
- 11:52Speaker 1: We've got this story of these two great teams, and
- 11:56Speaker 1: maybe the best defensive player in this entire Super Bowl
- 12:00Speaker 1: is an unsung hero who actually is going back to
- 12:03Speaker 1: a place where he spent the first four.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Years of his career. Let's go back to the.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Twenty twenty NFL Draft for a selection that did not
- 12:11Speaker 1: make waves at the time when.
- 12:12Speaker 2: It was done.
- 12:13Speaker 1: With the seventy fourth pick in the twenty twenty NFL Draft,
- 12:17Speaker 1: the New Orleans Saints liked Zach Bond, linebacker Wisconsin.
- 12:22Speaker 3: A lot of people thought, potentially Zach Vonn might be
- 12:25Speaker 3: a first round pick. Look, he was a stud for
- 12:28Speaker 3: Wisconsin thirty two combined sacks and tackles for losses last year.
- 12:32Speaker 3: But he was a high school player of the Year
- 12:34Speaker 3: as a quarterback at Brown Deer High School in Wisconsin.
- 12:40Speaker 1: All right, the pride of Brown Deer, Wisconsin. Zach Bonn
- 12:44Speaker 1: was drafted by the Saints, didn't do much in four
- 12:46Speaker 1: years there, going back to New Orleans where he was drafted,
- 12:50Speaker 1: and now he's a defensive Player of the Year finalist.
- 12:54Speaker 2: There are only.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Five players who get invited to the NFL honors as
- 12:57Speaker 1: Defensive Player of the Year finalists.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Five in the entire league.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Missed your top five defensive players in the entire sport,
- 13:03Speaker 1: the Superhumans. Zach bond was one of them this year.
- 13:06Speaker 1: And here he goes back to a place that did
- 13:08Speaker 1: not offer him a contract extension after his rookie contract expired.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I think it's one of the coolest stories. And the
- 13:14Speaker 1: fact is going back to the Super Dome to play
- 13:16Speaker 1: where he played all those home games for four seasons
- 13:18Speaker 1: and didn't make a dent in the national radar.
- 13:21Speaker 2: There's Special Teams Demon.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Zach bone He's now the best insidelnebacker in all of football.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Zach Bonne going back to New Orleans Super Bowl.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Let's go all right, I could take this a million
- 13:31Speaker 1: different directions. Let's first start off with the theory that
- 13:34Speaker 1: everyone's over the Chiefs. They don't want to watch the Chiefs.
- 13:36Speaker 1: They don't want to see the Chiefs. CBS just put
- 13:39Speaker 1: out a press release yesterday and fifty seven million Americans
- 13:42Speaker 1: watch Chiefs bills on Sunday. Don't tell me they're tired
- 13:45Speaker 1: of it, because they're watching it. There was a Home
- 13:47Speaker 1: Shopping Network show on, there was Home and Garden on,
- 13:50Speaker 1: and I'm sure there was some NCAA basketball and if
- 13:52Speaker 1: you didn't like it, you watched. So obviously, whether you
- 13:55Speaker 1: hate them or you like them, you were watching. And
- 13:57Speaker 1: that goes back to the old Howard Stern theory from
- 14:00Speaker 1: the movie Private Parts, where pig Vomit says, you know
- 14:03Speaker 1: you're taking ahead because you're gonna use the same line,
- 14:06Speaker 1: the same exait.
- 14:07Speaker 2: Why don't you deliver it?
- 14:08Speaker 4: Then Kyle, all right, so this is a great point
- 14:10Speaker 4: for Peter. So Paul Giamatti plays Howard's producer and he
- 14:13Speaker 4: hates Howard Stern, and he talks to this researcher, and
- 14:16Speaker 4: the researcher says to Paul Giamatty, the average Howard Stern
- 14:19Speaker 4: fan listens for an hour and twenty minutes. Reason why,
- 14:22Speaker 4: I want to see what he'll say next. And then
- 14:24Speaker 4: Jimidi says, all right, fine, what about the people who
- 14:26Speaker 4: hate Howard Stern? Great question. The average Howard Stern hater
- 14:29Speaker 4: listens for two and a half hours.
- 14:32Speaker 2: How can that be most popular? Answer? I want to
- 14:34Speaker 2: see what he'll say next. Take it away. And from there.
- 14:38Speaker 2: That's what this is. You might loathe them.
- 14:41Speaker 1: And in the last segment I said, I might be
- 14:45Speaker 1: good on the Key Swift, Kelsey's brother, whose wife who's
- 14:51Speaker 1: also got dad and mo I get it, you're sick
- 14:54Speaker 1: of seeing these faces.
- 14:55Speaker 2: I'll be candid.
- 14:57Speaker 1: I just you know, check another Kevin Hart commercial showed
- 15:00Speaker 1: up on my phone promoting a gambling ad, and I'm like,
- 15:02Speaker 1: I'm good on Kevin Hart.
- 15:04Speaker 2: I'm good on him.
- 15:05Speaker 1: You like I don't mind him under that good on HIMS.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Snoop is gonna be hosting NFL honors. My seat might
- 15:12Speaker 1: be ejected from the moon. I might be never on
- 15:15Speaker 1: this network again for saying this. I might be good
- 15:17Speaker 1: on Snoop after an Olympics and we're gonna get more
- 15:19Speaker 1: of him.
- 15:20Speaker 2: I like Snoop.
- 15:21Speaker 1: You just might have a cup that's full of Snoop.
- 15:24Speaker 1: It goes on with the Kelsey's and the Swifts and
- 15:27Speaker 1: the mother of Kelsey and the mother of Swift and
- 15:30Speaker 1: the wife of Kelsey's brother, and then Kelsey's brother's friend.
- 15:33Speaker 2: I get all that. What I do resent though, And.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Nick Wright, who works over at Fox and he's also
- 15:39Speaker 1: a Chiefs diehard fan from the Kansas City Era head
- 15:42Speaker 1: sit on this a little bit.
- 15:43Speaker 2: I am sour on the fact.
- 15:44Speaker 1: That we have let what could be greatness and could
- 15:47Speaker 1: be a really cool story of a three peet be
- 15:49Speaker 1: hijacked by complaining about officiating and conspiracy theories about how
- 15:54Speaker 1: the league is rigging this thing. I assure you the
- 15:58Speaker 1: last thing the NFL League office wants is to deal
- 16:02Speaker 1: with conspiracy theories about rigging games or d games on.
- 16:07Speaker 1: So that the Chiefs move on. That is not what
- 16:10Speaker 1: they want to celebrate. They want to celebrate the great stories.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Trust me, the league would not have had a problem
- 16:15Speaker 1: if the fans of Buffalo or the fans of Detroit
- 16:18Speaker 1: would have been celebrating a Super Bowl appearance.
- 16:20Speaker 2: That is something really cool for the league, and that
- 16:22Speaker 2: is something really cool for the NFL. And Peter's not
- 16:25Speaker 2: a company man. He just said he's had enough of snoop.
- 16:27Speaker 1: So like Peter, trust me, trust me, I'm not a
- 16:29Speaker 1: company man.
- 16:30Speaker 2: That's the company. I won't say this.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I understand if you've had a lot of Mahomes and Mahomes'
- 16:38Speaker 1: wife and Kelsey and Kelsey's girlfriend.
- 16:40Speaker 2: I get all that.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Don't say you're there's fatigue though, As a nation because
- 16:45Speaker 1: I look at the ratings, I look at our show,
- 16:47Speaker 1: I look at how we talk about it. Whether you
- 16:49Speaker 1: like them or you hate them, they's certainly a topic
- 16:52Speaker 1: and they're certainly going to be people tuning in. I
- 16:54Speaker 1: don't think there's Chiefs fatigue. I think there might be
- 16:57Speaker 1: a bit of a anti Chiefs.
- 16:59Speaker 2: They're not my thing, and that's okay. Well, as a New.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Yorker asking me about Philly sports fans a lot topic, I.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Will say this, I think they are two.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Polarizing fan bases and polarizing teams. The Chiefs have this
- 17:14Speaker 1: feel of this like Howdy Duty, like we're here at
- 17:16Speaker 1: his Midwestern charm, wholesome whole thing.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I think that turns a lot of people off.
- 17:21Speaker 1: And then the Eagles come in and it's Bradley Cooper
- 17:23Speaker 1: and Kevin Hart and we're gonna bash you over the
- 17:25Speaker 1: head and we're gonna party on Broad Street.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Two very different deals.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Going in, and neither one of them are the Buffalo
- 17:31Speaker 1: Detroit story, which was like this feel good Cinderella type
- 17:35Speaker 1: thing for these fan base. EI are two powerhouse teams
- 17:38Speaker 1: with powerhouse fan bases coming through. Every week on this show,
- 17:42Speaker 1: we give out our coach of the Week award, and
- 17:44Speaker 1: it's no different for this one. Just two weeks before
- 17:47Speaker 1: Super Bowl, and the coach of the Week for the
- 17:49Speaker 1: Conference Championship round is Big Red himself. All right, Andy
- 17:53Speaker 1: Reid gets our award for Coach of the Week for
- 17:55Speaker 1: getting back to the big game and doing it against
- 17:58Speaker 1: his former team.
- 17:59Speaker 2: And I don't have to do it for the second
- 18:01Speaker 2: time in three years.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Andy reach start off as the coach of the Eagles.
- 18:05Speaker 2: And had any many fine years. There's John Harbor Conference.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Championship, after conference championship, got to a Super Bowl, lost
- 18:14Speaker 1: to the Patriots. Of course he had too, and McNab
- 18:18Speaker 1: go down there, ends with Philadelphia, comes back to Kansas City,
- 18:22Speaker 1: and then sure enough goes and coaches against the Eagles
- 18:26Speaker 1: two years ago in Arizona, his former team, and he
- 18:29Speaker 1: would get the victory in that Super Bowl. Well, somehow,
- 18:33Speaker 1: some way, you can't even write this stuff. To go
- 18:36Speaker 1: and be the first head coach to ever have a
- 18:39Speaker 1: three p to ever win three in a row, he'll
- 18:42Speaker 1: have to bookend that three peat with a win over
- 18:46Speaker 1: the Eagles, and then yet another win over the Eagles.
- 18:51Speaker 1: He is currently the only head coach in the game
- 18:55Speaker 1: who is even within breathing distance of the all time
- 18:58Speaker 1: record for wins, but the rings might matter more. Andy
- 19:02Speaker 1: Reid gets yet another team to the Super Bowl, and
- 19:06Speaker 1: in less than two weeks we will find out if
- 19:09Speaker 1: he is the first ever NFL head coach to win
- 19:13Speaker 1: three Awesome, great, all.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Right, it's this kind of personal. Now.
- 19:17Speaker 1: My son is eight years old and is playing all
- 19:19Speaker 1: the sports, and he has picked up the sport of chess,
- 19:23Speaker 1: the sport of chess. My son has become a little
- 19:26Speaker 1: Chess masters. He has getting into the second grade. And
- 19:29Speaker 1: I was like, all right, that's cool. I have no
- 19:31Speaker 1: connection to that sport. And then I'm watching chess dot
- 19:35Speaker 1: com and they have a whole thing about the Blitzchamps
- 19:39Speaker 1: chess tournament that the NFL hosts, and there is a
- 19:43Speaker 1: huge community of chess players in the NFL. Justin Reid,
- 19:48Speaker 1: the star safety of the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Beat Drew Tranquill, his teammate who is a former champion.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Kyler plays, Larry Fitzgerald plays, Mike Vick plays all of
- 20:00Speaker 1: these guys.
- 20:01Speaker 2: I think Joe Burrow's using Joe Burrow is huge into it,
- 20:04Speaker 2: Larry fitz is big into it.
- 20:07Speaker 1: There's a huge tournament these guys play and they play chess.
- 20:11Speaker 2: There's Justin Reid versus Kyler Murray. Kyler video he plays chess.
- 20:16Speaker 2: That's right, Kyler.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Justin Reid is a star safety the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 20:20Speaker 1: So as we're doing out rooks, as we're doing the
- 20:23Speaker 1: Pro Bowl, I want to see eve four who's going
- 20:25Speaker 1: to dominate the middle of the chess board. Why not
- 20:28Speaker 1: have the best pro bowler from the AFC play the
- 20:32Speaker 1: best pro bowler in the NFC. Put it on Chess
- 20:35Speaker 1: dot Com and let's make it part.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Of the Pro Bowl Skills Champs. Should we hand out
- 20:38Speaker 2: the rook of the Year award? Peter? I think that
- 20:40Speaker 2: is good. Let's get deep blue against Kyler Murray. Let's
- 20:43Speaker 2: go I love that so good rook of the Year.
- 20:46Speaker 1: But shout out to all the chess players there, junior
- 20:49Speaker 1: ones as well.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Chess dot Com.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I think it should be talking to the NFL about
- 20:53Speaker 1: getting involved in this Pro Bowl thing.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Hey, Elion Peyton, come on, guys.
