- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities CE OS and even royalty Adam Cox, these
- 0:21recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's world
- 0:24famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Do you ever? Feel that you had.
- 0:41An unfair, unjust. Or even traumatic childhood.
- 0:46If so, I think you're going to get some value from this
- 0:50session. My name's Adam, host of the
- 0:53Hypnosis Podcast. And in this session, the client
- 0:55that I was working with was a man that had four daughters, but
- 1:00in his childhood suffered what can only be described as abuse
- 1:06from a very insecure but domineering father.
- 1:10The play fights weren't play fights.
- 1:12They were very aggressive, painful.
- 1:16And designed to. Humiliate and create a feeling
- 1:21of fear. Bullying effectively, but not
- 1:25from another child, but from a father that was much older than
- 1:30the child that they were meant to be protecting.
- 1:34What this hypnosis session does is it uses disassociated
- 1:38regression. To create.
- 1:40Empowered feelings, and that is to be the protector of them.
- 1:44Self in the. Way that their father should.
- 1:47Have been. For them and.
- 1:49Effectively create. Some kind of karmic justice
- 1:53designed to create empathy so that their own father would know
- 1:57what they were experiencing. But that's designed to do 2
- 2:01things. It's designed to take in a
- 2:03disempowering emotion and make it empowering but also a reframe
- 2:08and also. A sense of.
- 2:11That their past, actually. Gives them a.
- 2:14Level of empathy and a level of resilience that very few people
- 2:18would be able to experience so that to their children, they can
- 2:23be a better father than ever. And this is the ultimate reframe
- 2:28for trauma. It's not saying that a traumatic
- 2:31thing is good or beneficial. It's saying that.
- 2:34The ultimate way to. Become empowered.
- 2:36Is to say the past happened. It shouldn't have.
- 2:40It wasn't right and it's not a good thing.
- 2:43But from that? Thing it may.
- 2:45Lead to positive consequences that could be harnessed in the
- 2:50present. And that's how you reframe a
- 2:53horrible. Moment to be empowering it turns
- 2:56a victim into a survivor now please be aware that because
- 3:00this was a male client that had children there's.
- 3:04References to being. A father and a good father, and
- 3:08for them all of this suppressed emotion felt like this thick
- 3:12black smoke, which is why I use that as a synesthetic.
- 3:17Metaphor within. This particular hypnosis
- 3:19session, some of those references might not be right
- 3:22for you, that might not be how trauma feels to you, and you
- 3:25might not be a father. In which case, disregard any
- 3:29suggestions that aren't quite right for you.
- 3:31But if you do like the idea of working with me directly so that
- 3:35I can do a bespoke session. For your specific.
- 3:38Situation, circumstances. Then there will be a link in the
- 3:41show notes where you can schedule that free consultation
- 3:44call and we can have a chat. For now though, you might get
- 3:47some value from this session even though it was created for
- 3:51someone else so. Find.
- 3:53A quiet, comfortable place where you won't be.
- 3:55Disturbed. Relax and I'm not going to say
- 3:57enjoy the session, but. See if you can.
- 3:59Take some value from this session.
- 4:23Take a deep breath in and as you breathe in, breathe in a feeling
- 4:33of calm relaxation and as you exhale, feel a feeling of
- 4:42release. As your eyelids get heavier,
- 4:47just notice your neck, your shoulders, and your chest
- 4:54relaxing. And that relaxation means you
- 4:58can breathe in for longer. And as you exhale, you're able
- 5:08to elongate the outward breath so that the outward breath lasts
- 5:14for longer than it normally would, each breath taking you
- 5:23deeper and deeper, relaxed. And I want you to scan your body
- 5:33for any clues of tension or something else, perhaps
- 5:42something that's been bottled up for a long time.
- 5:50And I want you to feel that you're breathing in a sense of
- 5:56emotional healing. Perhaps you could imagine a
- 6:00bright white light and breathe in that emotional healing.
- 6:07But as you exhale, I want you to imagine thick dark smoke leaving
- 6:17your body in your outward breath, breathing in and
- 6:25healing, feeling and exhaling any toxic emotions that have
- 6:32been building up perhaps since childhood.
- 6:38That's it. Breathing in and breathing out.
- 6:41And I want you to get a sense that with each breath, you're
- 6:48feeling lighter, you're feeling calmer, and as you exhale, see
- 6:56more of that thick black smoke. But the deeper you breathe and
- 7:06the longer you breathe out, the less of that dark smoke exists,
- 7:15proving to you that what was trapped and suppressed.
- 7:22And lodged inside. Is now being released and as you
- 7:32breathe in and breathe out, allow your body to sink a little
- 7:39deeper and with every outward breath, imagine releasing a bit
- 7:48more tension and a bit more of that grey or dark smoke.
- 7:57Notice your body gets lighter as you release a little bit more of
- 8:03that weight, that psychological and emotional weight that you no
- 8:10longer need to carry. And your eyelids may grow
- 8:17heavier where your body may begin to feel lighter.
- 8:24And with each breath, you can notice yourself drifting deeper
- 8:33into a place of calm and safety. In a few moments.
- 8:43I'll countdown from 12:50 and with each number you'll find
- 8:49yourself sinking into a deeper, more comfortable level of
- 8:55relaxation, continuing to breathe in and healing emotion
- 9:01of white light and exhaling anything that your body wants to
- 9:07release. So 10 feeling your body loosen,
- 9:159 breathing slowing naturally, 8 drifting deeper and deeper into
- 9:23comfort, and seven, as your thoughts quieten, and six a
- 9:35sense of calm spreading. 5 halfway there, feeling safe. 4
- 9:44deeper still. 3 allowing, trusting, accepting. 2 drifting
- 9:55deeper now, and 1 deeply relaxed.
- 10:01And I want you to imagine floating all the way back to a
- 10:08childhood home. Not.
- 10:15As you were, but as you are now, with all of your knowledge and
- 10:21wisdom, your physical size and strength.
- 10:27And I want you to go back to a moment.
- 10:33A moment, perhaps, where your father was roughly playing with
- 10:39you as a child. Except it wasn't play.
- 10:48It was about dominating control, even under the guise of
- 10:55toughening you up. But I want you to see.
- 11:02See it as it really is. Not from the eyes of a child,
- 11:06but from the eyes of where you are now.
- 11:14And I want you to see. See something that feels wrong
- 11:21and unfair. And I want you to.
- 11:25Feel that? Urge to protect that younger
- 11:29version of you because that younger version of you was being
- 11:41aggressively and unfairly treated by the very person that
- 11:49was meant to protect. And I want you to feel, feel
- 11:58like you are taking years of injustice, years of feeling
- 12:08vulnerable, feeling scared. And I want you to imagine
- 12:14condensing all of this into a ball of energy, a glowing ball
- 12:21of energy that any anger, unfairness, injustice, I want
- 12:28you to feel that you are creating a powerful ball.
- 12:35And then I want you to aim that ball at your father and fire it
- 12:42at him, and he can feel that energy.
- 12:50And then I want you to see a startled, surprised face.
- 12:56And you ask the question, do you want to play fight with this
- 13:03child? And he says yes, but given that
- 13:11you and the child are the same person, it is only fair that you
- 13:19take their place. So now see the child sat nearby
- 13:29and you will play fight with your father.
- 13:35But now it feels like a fair fight, and I want you to give
- 13:45your father a taste of his own medicine, the very things that
- 13:53you experienced as a child. I want you to feel that you have
- 13:58unleashed all of that pent up emotion from your past to now
- 14:07deploy in this time. The difference is that you only
- 14:15need to do this once because this is a lesson in karmic
- 14:23empathy. To be on the receiving end of
- 14:30something that he was dishing out means ideas and realities
- 14:40collide. So imagine that now instead of
- 14:46being vulnerable, you are strong.
- 14:50Instead of being dominated, you are domineering.
- 14:55And I want you to do the things just enough until you feel that
- 15:00they have learned a lesson. When you feel.
- 15:07That they have learned that lesson.
- 15:09Let me know by nodding your head.
- 15:20That's it. And then ask them, are they
- 15:27going to continue? Are they going to continue from
- 15:34this point forwards to do something unfair, unjust to a
- 15:42vulnerable child? And if they say yes, they need
- 15:47to learn the lesson again. And if they say no, you warn
- 15:52them that it's fine so long as they don't, and then tell them.
- 16:04Tell them that. Instead of dishing out
- 16:08criticism, it would be more beneficial to dish out
- 16:13encouragement. Instead of making someone feel
- 16:22afraid, why not make their own child feel courageous and
- 16:29confident? That rather than giving them
- 16:37attention that makes them feel weak, ashamed, or in pain, why
- 16:45not give them the attention of empathy, understanding, genuine
- 16:50interest and encouragement? And you realize the very request
- 17:00you're giving your father are also useful for you.
- 17:08You don't need a book or an expert to tell you how to be
- 17:16your father. You realize how you would have
- 17:24wanted to have been raised is exactly the blueprint for you to
- 17:31do that for your own children. I want you to imagine leaving
- 17:42this place, but first having a conversation with your mother,
- 17:49saying what you were never able to say as a child but would have
- 17:55wanted to. And I want you to feel that you
- 18:01are wiping the slate clean with your past.
- 18:06You can't change the past, but you can change the meaning you
- 18:11give it. And what if your past didn't
- 18:16break you? What if your past gave you
- 18:22access to a new level of resilience and empathy and a
- 18:28capacity to love because of what you experienced?
- 18:35It should never have happened, but it did.
- 18:40But what if that makes you more powerful than ever?
- 18:48And then try and breathe out any more of that thick black smoke.
- 18:57And if it feels like you have emptied that now that there is
- 19:02just no more remaining, you know, by nodding your head.
- 19:13And you can continue to breathe in that healing white light and
- 19:20exhale that thick black smoke, knowing that this smoke
- 19:26represents the past, that you've endured your own struggles of
- 19:31childhood, moments where you felt small, unseen or unworthy,
- 19:41or just fearful. And maybe that smoke was to
- 19:48suppress memories or numb the pain.
- 19:56Maybe it was a way your body stored emotions too heavy to
- 20:00process back then. But now you no longer need to
- 20:06carry it. So continue to breathe in and
- 20:11fresh healing light. And as you breathe out, see that
- 20:20any remnants of that black smoke leaving your body, with every
- 20:28breath you exhale, the pain, the shame, any feelings of not
- 20:34enough. And each breath releases more of
- 20:38that smoke. And with every release you feel
- 20:42lighter, freer, more capable of being the man and father you
- 20:49want to be. And if you notice the smoke
- 20:55thinning, getting lighter, not quite so dark, just let me know
- 21:04by nodding your head. That's it.
- 21:09And I want you to feel as though a wind of healing compassion is
- 21:15carrying it far away, dissolving into nothingness so that all
- 21:23remains is clarity, strength, and peace.
- 21:37That's it. And as that smoke clears, you
- 21:45notice something powerful. Your past did not break you, it
- 21:51forged you. The struggles you've endured
- 21:55have given you resilience, strength, and empathy, qualities
- 22:04that make you not just a good father, but a better father
- 22:11because you know what pain feels like and you are more committed
- 22:17to giving your children love, safety and presence.
- 22:23Your past is not a chain that holds you back, it is a fire
- 22:29that shaped the steel of who you are today.
- 22:34And you are strong because from this moment forward, you will
- 22:42develop a belief that being a father is not about doing more,
- 22:47achieving more, or proving yourself or doing it right.
- 22:54It's about being being present, being attentive, being loving
- 23:02and being mindful. Your children don't need a
- 23:07perfect father. They need you.
- 23:13And the greatest gift you can give them is your time, your
- 23:17love and your presence. It's time to leave your past.
- 23:25But as you leave your past, I want you to hug that young
- 23:30version of you. Tell them they are strong, they
- 23:35are worthy. Tell them they will do
- 23:39incredible things and one day there will be an excellent
- 23:44father. And as you hug them and say
- 23:49goodbye, tell them that you will be a guardian Angel to that
- 23:55child, protecting them if they need it.
- 24:00All they have to do is call. And I want you to feel how good
- 24:06it would feel to have experienced that in your past
- 24:18and connect that past with your future.
- 24:22And now I want you to imagine your future over the next few
- 24:29days, weeks and months. And imagine spending time with
- 24:34your children. Picture yourself fully there.
- 24:42No distractions, no worries about what you should be doing.
- 24:47Just being with them, listening, laughing, and noticing the
- 24:53little things that matter most. And in that presence you realize
- 25:01this is enough and you are enough.
- 25:10And then I want you to imagine yourself.
- 25:13Perhaps a year. Or two from now.
- 25:15And I want you to see the impact, the impact of seeing
- 25:23yourself as a father who has released the old pain and
- 25:27embrace the gift of being present.
- 25:31See the joy on your children's faces and feel the connection
- 25:36growing stronger. And notice how your.
- 25:40Resilience and empathy guide you to be the father they need, and
- 25:50every day you carry the truth that your past makes you
- 25:55stronger and your presence makes you the father you always wanted
- 26:03to be. Just allow your body to
- 26:18reconnect with this idea. You are a good father, a good
- 26:25person. You have good intentions, and
- 26:29that's enough. Get a sense that those old heavy
- 26:37feelings, that thick black smoke has left your body now and been
- 26:43replaced with a wonderful feeling of presence.
- 26:49The presence to give attention, to listen and notice, to have
- 26:57real conversations and real connections.
- 27:04It's time to leave this past and the future.
- 27:10But feeling that the past gave you wisdom, gave you empathy,
- 27:19gave you strength. You can learn from the past, but
- 27:23you don't need to live there. And you are not defined by it.
- 27:31Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 27:36nose as you feel that you're recalibrating with the here and
- 27:42now, all parts and sensations returning back to your arms,
- 27:50legs, in this moment as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to
- 27:56awaken you. You will awaken feeling like a
- 28:00weight has been lifted from your shoulders, a childhood injustice
- 28:07is now cleared, and you will have unleashed a new level of
- 28:16presence and connection for those that you love the most.
- 28:21Starting to count 123 Waking up 456.
