- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya Radd, an iHeartRadio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: And two-time People's Choice Award winning podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 3: Hello, everybody.
- 0:12Speaker 4: We are scrubbing in.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Yes, we are. Happy Monday, October the 5th.
- 0:18Speaker 4: It's hot as hell.
- 0:20Speaker 3: It is hot as hell.
- 0:23Speaker 4: It's so hot here.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I am in the, I think that everywhere I go,
- 0:29Speaker 2: there's a heat wave. Like I have this fear I'm
- 0:31Speaker 2: going to Rhode Island at the end of the month
- 0:33Speaker 2: and it's supposedly fall weather there. And I have this
- 0:36Speaker 2: fear that there's going to be a random heat wave.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Like all I want is some cooler weather. Yeah.
- 0:41Speaker 3: I could use some cold weather too.
- 0:42Speaker 5: I love summer and I'm so excited when summer comes,
- 0:44Speaker 5: but then when summer's over, I'm like ready for fall.
- 0:47Speaker 4: But it's perpetually summer here. Would you all agree? I
- 0:52Speaker 4: would agree. It's been a long summer.
- 0:53Speaker 1: They call it endless summer.
- 0:54Speaker 4: In Southern California.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's been like, it gets cold here.
- 0:58Speaker 6: It doesn't actually, but to you it does because you've
- 1:00Speaker 6: lived here your whole life.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Right. Yeah.
- 1:02Speaker 1: To most people, it's endless summer. Tis cold.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Tis cold.
- 1:06Speaker 1: It's not. To you it is. But like to the
- 1:08Speaker 1: rest of the country, it's not. It's a beautiful, always
- 1:11Speaker 1: endless summer in Southern California.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Mark woke up on the wrong side of the bed today.
- 1:14Speaker 6: That is not true.
- 1:15Speaker 3: He came in here to fight.
- 1:16Speaker 4: She said you were grumpy, but I didn't get grumpy
- 1:19Speaker 4: energy from you.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I'm not grumpy at all.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Grumpster.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Are you the grumpy one and you're projecting?
- 1:24Speaker 3: No.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Yeah. So anyways, happy Monday. It's October.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Haley was like, should we go get some pumpkins? And
- 1:33Speaker 2: I'm like, will they rot outside in the sea?
- 1:36Speaker 4: Yeah. I don't know.
- 1:38Speaker 6: In like 48 hours, they'll be moldy.
- 1:41Speaker 3: No, not if you don't carve them.
- 1:42Speaker 2: We're waiting until next week as it cools down to
- 1:45Speaker 2: low 80s. And that's your weather report from scrubbing in.
- 1:50Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:51Speaker 4: How was your weekend?
- 1:53Speaker 5: Well, my weekend was great because it kick-started off with
- 1:55Speaker 5: a date night with you.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Can I just tell y'all, trying to get this friend
- 2:00Speaker 2: night on the docket, with your date night in place?
- 2:06Speaker 3: First of all, I would.
- 2:07Speaker 5: Just like to say there was not much back and forth.
- 2:11Speaker 5: There was literally, hey, you want to do Friday? I said, hey,
- 2:13Speaker 5: want to do Thursday? You said no. I said, okay,
- 2:15Speaker 5: let me see if we can do our date night
- 2:17Speaker 5: on Monday instead. I did not end up taking my
- 2:19Speaker 5: Valium for my procedure on Monday. So we had our
- 2:23Speaker 5: date night on Monday.
- 2:23Speaker 4: You know what? I was having to text Robbie to
- 2:25Speaker 4: be like, can you move date night?
- 2:30Speaker 5: It could have very well, you could have moved your
- 2:31Speaker 5: date night on Thursday too.
- 2:33Speaker 4: I didn't have a date night.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Well, no, because Haley had just gotten in from the
- 2:36Speaker 2: UK and that was our.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Only day off together. So you and Robbie see each
- 2:39Speaker 4: other every single day and night.
- 2:40Speaker 3: And so do you guys. More so, because we have children.
- 2:43Speaker 4: I know, but she was out of town.
- 2:45Speaker 5: Then she came back in town and she's going to
- 2:47Speaker 5: be in town for quite some time.
- 2:49Speaker 4: She went to San Francisco today.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I'm just saying. It's really the same situation.
- 2:53Speaker 4: Anyways, we had a best friend date night and.
- 2:58Speaker 2: So originally I had chosen a spot in Santa Monica,
- 3:02Speaker 2: which for all of you who don't know the logistics
- 3:04Speaker 2: of L.A.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Is quite far from me.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Not ideal for Tanya, but significantly closer for Tanya.
- 3:09Speaker 5: For all intensive purposes, this is a restaurant.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Say that again.
- 3:17Speaker 3: All intensive purposes.
- 3:18Speaker 1: It's all intense and purposes.
- 3:21Speaker 3: It's not intense.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Yeah, like intent, like intention for all intent.
- 3:26Speaker 1: T-E-N-T-S.
- 3:28Speaker 3: For all intent.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Intents and purposes.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Intents, but it's not, it wasn't intense.
- 3:32Speaker 6: No, we're not saying that. No, that's a different word.
- 3:35Speaker 4: That's, yeah.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Valium, okay.
- 3:38Speaker 5: For all intents and purposes, this is Becca's favorite restaurant. Like,
- 3:41Speaker 5: she loves this place. You've spent birthdays there. We did
- 3:43Speaker 5: your engagement dinner there.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I love it.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Becca loves it. I don't particularly like this place. Since when?
- 3:50Speaker 3: I would never opt to go there.
- 3:52Speaker 5: But because Becca loves it so much, I was happy
- 3:54Speaker 5: to go.
- 3:54Speaker 3: I was prepared to go. I was ready to go.
- 3:57Speaker 2: But when I told her the place, I received a
- 3:59Speaker 2: very underwhelmed response.
- 4:01Speaker 4: So I clocked it in my head.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And then as I was driving to said restaurant, I
- 4:07Speaker 2: was about to pass the exit where I would need
- 4:08Speaker 2: to get off to go to Tanya's place. And I
- 4:12Speaker 2: was like, would you... prefer to go somewhere closer to
- 4:15Speaker 2: your house. And she was like, I'd always choose somewhere
- 4:17Speaker 2: closer to my house. So I said, okay, do you
- 4:19Speaker 2: think we can find somewhere on a Friday night right now?
- 4:21Speaker 2: Like last minute. So she got to work and she found.
- 4:25Speaker 4: I got to work. W-E-R-K. Okay.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Work. Yeah. Cause I was like, I'm driving. So if
- 4:31Speaker 2: you want to go somewhere else, you gotta, you gotta
- 4:32Speaker 2: source it.
- 4:32Speaker 3: And this was 5pm and we were looking for a
- 4:34Speaker 3: 5.30 reservation. So it's tough.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Well, which isn't that hard because most people on a
- 4:38Speaker 2: Friday are not heading out at 5.30.
- 4:42Speaker 4: You'd be surprised. Okay, so she finds a restaurant.
- 4:48Speaker 2: And texts the girl who manages it or runs it,
- 4:51Speaker 2: owns it.
- 4:53Speaker 3: No, she doesn't own it, but she's very high up.
- 4:54Speaker 3: She's a scrubber. Her name is Erin. Shout out, Erin.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Shout out to Erin.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Bad Roman Erin.
- 5:00Speaker 5: I text her at five and asked for a 530
- 5:02Speaker 5: reservation thinking that she was like not going to get
- 5:05Speaker 5: back to me.
- 5:05Speaker 3: So I was like, let's just try. Let's just like
- 5:07Speaker 3: wing it and go. But guess who got back to me?
- 5:10Speaker 4: Erin.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Erin, our scrubber. And she said, you're all set.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:14Speaker 5: Which made me delighted because I've been wanting to take
- 5:17Speaker 5: you there for a while.
- 5:19Speaker 3: And so it all kind of worked out. But it
- 5:20Speaker 3: was so funny.
- 5:21Speaker 5: And what made me like really happy is Robbie got
- 5:22Speaker 5: home from work and he was like, why do you
- 5:25Speaker 5: look so sexy?
- 5:26Speaker 3: Aren't you going? I was like, oh, yeah. Are you jealous?
- 5:29Speaker 3: This is making you jealous. It's the first time I've
- 5:32Speaker 3: ever seen him give any ounce of like.
- 5:34Speaker 2: He's probably like, what is girls night mean if you're
- 5:37Speaker 2: dressed like this?
- 5:39Speaker 4: But you weren't dressed.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I just had a bra. I basically had, like, a
- 5:42Speaker 3: bra and, like, a sheer top on.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Yeah, the sheer top of the bra.
- 5:45Speaker 5: It was sexier than I normally dress, but it was, like,
- 5:47Speaker 5: 100 degrees. So in my mind, I was just, like,
- 5:49Speaker 5: put on the least amount of clothing I possibly can.
- 5:51Speaker 4: It was like, that's your vacation outfit.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Correct.
- 5:53Speaker 4: Our romantic vacation look.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 4: And I was like, no.
- 5:57Speaker 5: Going out where the 20-year-olds go with Becca. I feel
- 6:00Speaker 5: like that's what Elefante is. It's, like.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Youth.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Youth.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Yeah, so.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Had to dress appropriately.
- 6:07Speaker 4: But we didn't go there.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. But the restaurant we went to was incredible.
- 6:11Speaker 2: But they go to sit us down and they put
- 6:13Speaker 2: us at a four top. So it was a booth
- 6:15Speaker 2: and then two chairs on the other side.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Isn't that great, Mark?
- 6:19Speaker 1: Not for me, but good for you. I'm glad because
- 6:22Speaker 1: I know that's a dream of yours. What is?
- 6:24Speaker 6: Sitting on the same side of the table like newscasters.
- 6:27Speaker 2: And so she goes, oh, my God, we can sit
- 6:30Speaker 2: on the same side. And I had a choice to
- 6:33Speaker 2: make because my initial reaction is.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Like, No.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Right. Normal human reaction.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:39Speaker 4: There's more room for that. But then I was like,
- 6:43Speaker 4: you know what?
- 6:43Speaker 2: I wanted to have a night to make Tanya feel
- 6:47Speaker 2: loved and celebrated and be a good friend to her.
- 6:51Speaker 4: So I sat on the same side.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Wow. And did your neck hurt after a while?
- 6:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 6:58Speaker 3: You guys are so dramatic. You just turn your body.
- 7:01Speaker 2: The logistics are so weird as a friend sitting on
- 7:04Speaker 2: the same side.
- 7:04Speaker 4: If you're with your partner, it makes sense.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Cause it's like, okay, you're like physically touching and cuddling
- 7:09Speaker 2: and like having that. But like, Just having conversation with
- 7:14Speaker 2: someone made it so, I was like, this makes no sense.
- 7:17Speaker 5: And Becca was like very, and once you pointed it
- 7:19Speaker 5: out to me, I couldn't unfeel it. But she's like,
- 7:21Speaker 5: there's no barrier between us and then the people that
- 7:24Speaker 5: are like the table across from us.
- 7:25Speaker 4: So we're just staring at them.
- 7:26Speaker 3: We're just like staring at this. And they're a booth.
- 7:28Speaker 3: So they're basically like in like a square facing us.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Oh, right.
- 7:32Speaker 6: Right, like you're delivering the news to them.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:34Speaker 5: And she was like, I just feel like there's no
- 7:36Speaker 5: barrier between us and that table across. So then I
- 7:38Speaker 5: started feeling weird because I was like, she's right. And
- 7:41Speaker 5: then I just kept staring at them.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Yeah, it was very awk. So I'm glad I was
- 7:46Speaker 4: able to do it for you.
- 7:47Speaker 2: But I don't, I think I'll be just a little,
- 7:49Speaker 2: but not because I don't love you or respect you,
- 7:51Speaker 2: just because of just like my neck comfort.
- 7:54Speaker 4: It's fine.
- 7:55Speaker 5: I mean, I usually take the L. I always sit
- 7:57Speaker 5: across from you. Really, every time we've gone, I sit
- 7:59Speaker 5: across from you.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Well, normally they put us in a, Two top.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:02Speaker 5: I mean, I was blessed with that four top. I
- 8:04Speaker 5: was like, Erin knows, Erin knows me.
- 8:06Speaker 3: She knows what I need right now.
- 8:08Speaker 4: Erin set you up for success and set me up
- 8:10Speaker 4: for discomfort.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Correct.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Um, but the meal is amazing. Like I can't wait
- 8:16Speaker 2: to take Haley there. It's so fun.
- 8:18Speaker 4: So fun and cute. And we were home by seven 30. Yeah.
- 8:22Speaker 6: Delicious.
- 8:25Speaker 4: So then what'd you do?
- 8:27Speaker 5: And then Saturday we went to a celebration of life
- 8:31Speaker 5: and actually it was like really impactful to me in
- 8:36Speaker 5: a way. Cause this was one of Robbie's like really
- 8:38Speaker 5: good friends from high school. And so it was a
- 8:40Speaker 5: lot of like his friends and I'd met him a
- 8:41Speaker 5: couple of times. I didn't know him that well, but
- 8:43Speaker 5: the thing that I found so like beautiful about this
- 8:46Speaker 5: is like everybody that came up and spoke, the sentiment
- 8:49Speaker 5: was that this man was somebody who was there for people,
- 8:53Speaker 5: even when they didn't ask for it. And that like
- 8:56Speaker 5: really stood out to me because I feel like I'd
- 8:59Speaker 5: say in particular this past year, I've been like very
- 9:03Speaker 5: inward I've been like very selfish in a way like
- 9:06Speaker 5: I've just been so focused on like me and like
- 9:09Speaker 5: my journey right now that I I don't feel like
- 9:11Speaker 5: I'm as aware of like the people in my life
- 9:14Speaker 5: and like what they need obviously if they ask for
- 9:16Speaker 5: help and they need something I'm there but like when
- 9:18Speaker 5: people don't ask for it I feel like I've just
- 9:20Speaker 5: been so unaware um and so like it really stood
- 9:23Speaker 5: out to me after that memorial of like that I
- 9:26Speaker 5: just want to be better about that I love that.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Yeah I was thinking about it because you messaged me
- 9:31Speaker 2: about that. And I was thinking about how at the
- 9:33Speaker 2: end of our life, when, when people talk about you, like,
- 9:36Speaker 2: what are the things you want them to say about you?
- 9:38Speaker 2: And it's that you leave an impact of people leaving
- 9:41Speaker 2: something like that and feeling challenged to be better.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Because of the legacy, you know?
- 9:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Um, yeah, I, you sent that message to me and I,
- 9:52Speaker 2: we were in Palm Springs and I had had a
- 9:54Speaker 2: drink and I was trying to tell Haley that sentiment
- 9:59Speaker 2: of like how beautiful it is to want to be
- 10:02Speaker 2: to leave a legacy and impact like that. But I
- 10:05Speaker 2: don't know if my period's coming.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Or the alcohol, but I was sobbing.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I couldn't get it together.
- 10:12Speaker 4: What?
- 10:14Speaker 1: I don't know what happened.
- 10:15Speaker 4: It was a combo of many things, but she was like,
- 10:17Speaker 4: it's okay. Let it out.
- 10:21Speaker 3: I feel like you're very much like that.
- 10:23Speaker 2: What?
- 10:23Speaker 5: Like you are able to see the people in your
- 10:26Speaker 5: life when they're like drowning and you can like oh.
- 10:28Speaker 4: My gosh don't I can't no you are.
- 10:30Speaker 5: Like I really feel like you are that's why I
- 10:32Speaker 5: sent you that message I feel like you're very much
- 10:33Speaker 5: that person and I want to be better and be
- 10:36Speaker 5: that way wow but I do feel like you are
- 10:38Speaker 5: like that wow thank you.
- 10:41Speaker 4: That's really nice but yeah it was it really impacted me.
- 10:48Speaker 5: It really impacted me too it was it was really
- 10:50Speaker 5: crazy it was really beautiful though yeah very emotional.
- 10:54Speaker 4: But yeah yeah as it would be you know yeah
- 10:58Speaker 4: Your Saturday was very different. My Saturday was different. We
- 11:01Speaker 4: woke up, Haley performed at, I don't want to speak
- 11:05Speaker 4: on it wrong.
- 11:06Speaker 2: I believe it's like a, I would say like a
- 11:08Speaker 2: lesbian festival. It's called Dinah Shore, but it's in Palm Springs.
- 11:11Speaker 2: They do, they've been doing it for, I think like
- 11:13Speaker 2: 30 years or maybe longer. But they asked her to
- 11:16Speaker 2: come perform. And so she, we went up and she
- 11:21Speaker 2: found out she was performing at midnight. The way we
- 11:24Speaker 2: were so stressed out. about having this day up. The
- 11:29Speaker 2: amount of times we were having to go, okay. Maybe, like,
- 11:32Speaker 2: at this point, we could take a nap or this
- 11:34Speaker 2: time we need to eat dinner.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Like, it was so sad that we were having to really.
- 11:38Speaker 3: I would be stressed, too.
- 11:40Speaker 5: Because, like, performing at midnight is different than just staying up. Like,
- 11:44Speaker 5: on New Year's Eve, staying.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Up till midnight is one thing, but, like.
- 11:46Speaker 4: We stay up till midnight regularly, but we're cozy.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Yeah, performing, you need to be, like, on.
- 11:50Speaker 2: On. Yeah. And so we got up to Palm Springs
- 11:54Speaker 2: and we went to the rehearsal. And I hadn't seen
- 11:57Speaker 2: the show yet. I didn't really know what she put together, but...
- 12:00Speaker 2: I just assumed it was going to be great because
- 12:02Speaker 2: everything she does is great. But the show was so
- 12:06Speaker 2: she did such a great job putting it together and
- 12:08Speaker 2: making it look like a proper tour show that she
- 12:10Speaker 2: was doing.
- 12:12Speaker 4: And, you know, she was just doing the.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Rehearsal, but they had the lights kind of testing and
- 12:16Speaker 2: seeing how everything looked.
- 12:17Speaker 4: And I was like, oh, my God, that's my fiance.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Like, whoa.
- 12:20Speaker 4: So cool.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Yeah, did you get turned on?
- 12:24Speaker 4: Well, I was just like, wow, she's so cool.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah. So the show was really fun, and she was amazing.
- 12:32Speaker 2: And then I had the idea of, like, should we
- 12:34Speaker 2: drive home after?
- 12:35Speaker 3: I told Robbie this.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Because I was like, if I'm sober, which I only
- 12:40Speaker 2: had that one drink at dinner, so it was hours.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Later, way later.
- 12:44Speaker 2: And I was like, if I'm hype and awake because
- 12:47Speaker 2: I haven't been sleeping super well and I might just
- 12:50Speaker 2: be awake anyway, I could just drive home and we
- 12:53Speaker 2: could beat any traffic. But then Haley was like, I'll
- 12:57Speaker 2: do anything to stay and just go to sleep.
- 12:59Speaker 4: Oh, wow. So I said, that's a really desperate plea.
- 13:04Speaker 4: And I hear you. So we'll stay. So we stayed.
- 13:06Speaker 5: When we woke up on Sunday morning, I was like, Becca,
- 13:08Speaker 5: I was like, I'm curious if they're home or if
- 13:10Speaker 5: they're still in Palm Springs because Becca told me she
- 13:12Speaker 5: was going to try and drive home after the show.
- 13:13Speaker 5: And Robbie was like, what? And I was like, yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 5: she just wanted to be in her own bed, which
- 13:17Speaker 5: I understand. So then I like went to my fine
- 13:18Speaker 5: mind to look for you. And I was like, they're
- 13:19Speaker 5: still in Palm Springs.
- 13:20Speaker 2: No.
- 13:21Speaker 3: And she didn't win that battle.
- 13:23Speaker 2: We decided to make a stop at Cracker Barrel on
- 13:26Speaker 2: the way home.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Cracker Barrel is like a time warp.
- 13:30Speaker 2: I walked in and felt like I was back in
- 13:32Speaker 2: Louisiana on a Sunday after church.
- 13:35Speaker 4: It was so interesting, but it's so good.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Can't relate.
- 13:40Speaker 4: You don't like it? I've never been. Oh my God,
- 13:42Speaker 4: you would love it. You think? Yeah, it's so good.
- 13:46Speaker 4: It's like country home style diner food.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Do I like that?
- 13:50Speaker 1: I don't know that you would like Cracker Barrel. I
- 13:52Speaker 1: don't know.
- 13:52Speaker 4: I think she'd love the pancakes for sure.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Well, sure.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Okay.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Are they gluten free?
- 13:56Speaker 6: No, this is what I'm talking about.
- 13:59Speaker 2: By the way, she ate every gluttonous thing on the
- 14:02Speaker 2: menu on Friday night.
- 14:04Speaker 4: So this gluten free thing is a preference. No, no, no, no, no.
- 14:07Speaker 3: It's not a preference.
- 14:08Speaker 5: But when I go into like the mindset, I knew
- 14:11Speaker 5: my Friday night was going to be gluttonous because of
- 14:13Speaker 5: where we were originally going. I was like, I know
- 14:14Speaker 5: I'm going to have the whip eggplant. I'm going to
- 14:16Speaker 5: have the bread that comes with it. So in my mind,
- 14:18Speaker 5: I was already preparing for my Friday night to be gluttonous.
- 14:21Speaker 5: So the rest of the week I was tight and strict.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Whipped eggplant and bread? Are you crazy? I mean, good golly,
- 14:28Speaker 1: what is going off the rails here?
- 14:30Speaker 4: I know.
- 14:31Speaker 3: It's the gluten bread that I'm talking about. And they
- 14:36Speaker 3: offer you crudités if you're gluten-free. It doesn't hit the same.
- 14:40Speaker 4: Well, what I'm saying, it's a preference.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Like, Haley has realized she cannot eat gluten or her
- 14:46Speaker 2: whole body goes into.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Well, that's what I'm... What happened to you that night
- 14:51Speaker 1: when you ate bread?
- 14:52Speaker 6: So it's a preference.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Uh.
- 14:55Speaker 5: So I wouldn't say it's a preference because I had
- 14:57Speaker 5: Hashimoto's and by going gluten free, I reversed it. So
- 15:00Speaker 5: I do feel like my body inflammation wise internally like
- 15:04Speaker 5: freaks out, but I don't get any symptoms.
- 15:07Speaker 1: So if you just went heavy gluten on a regular basis,
- 15:10Speaker 1: you feel like your Hashimoto's might come back.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:12Speaker 6: Okay.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I see.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Right, right, right.
- 15:14Speaker 3: So I try to like live in the, live in the.
- 15:17Speaker 2: I think we're all probably a little allergic to gluten.
- 15:21Speaker 2: I can't imagine it's great for our inflammation.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Inflammation.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Something I could lessen the load on.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, there's such good gluten-free options, especially in LA.
- 15:31Speaker 3: I feel like it makes it easy.
- 15:33Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Anyways, I think you'd love a griddle pancake from Cracker Barrel.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Do they have those in LA?
- 15:42Speaker 4: No, it was in Riverside. Yeah.
- 15:44Speaker 2: And then the girl was like, do you want to
- 15:46Speaker 2: become a member? And I was like, oh, I wish.
- 15:49Speaker 2: What I would give. But no, I can't.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Because you're too far.
- 15:54Speaker 2: But anyways, so yeah, we had that and then drove
- 15:56Speaker 2: home and then we basically caught up on Survivor.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Oh, the two episodes?
- 16:01Speaker 4: When I say we, I casually watched.
- 16:05Speaker 3: You're not into it?
- 16:05Speaker 4: Haley's very into it.
- 16:07Speaker 3: The season's good.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Yeah. She's very into it.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Yeah. And then we watched Amazing Race. It was a
- 16:12Speaker 2: lot of catching up on reality competitive television. Nice.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Did you watch the pilot episode of Grey's Anatomy?
- 16:19Speaker 4: I did.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Oh! Yeah.
- 16:20Speaker 3: We'll get into that way later then.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 16:22Speaker 5: Let's put that in our back pocket because I had
- 16:24Speaker 5: a really shocking response to it.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Oh.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Yeah. A feeling I've never felt watching the show before.
- 16:31Speaker 4: We're back.
- 16:43Speaker 3: We're back.
- 16:48Speaker 4: So Verity has had a lot of discussion.
- 16:52Speaker 3: I've heard it's bad.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Everyone's saying it's bad.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Rotten Tomatoes is saying bad, too.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Yeah, 34%. But I don't always agree with Rotten Tomatoes, personally.
- 17:00Speaker 2: I do.
- 17:00Speaker 3: I live and die by the tomatoes.
- 17:01Speaker 4: No, you remember how.
- 17:02Speaker 2: There was that Kim Kardashian show, and you were like,
- 17:04Speaker 2: it got a zero, and you were like, no.
- 17:06Speaker 6: That's true.
- 17:07Speaker 3: They don't know what they're talking about.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, they don't like women-led things. Screw them.
- 17:15Speaker 4: So I went and saw Verity. And I haven't read
- 17:20Speaker 4: the book in a long time. Like it's been years
- 17:22Speaker 4: and years.
- 17:23Speaker 2: So I watched it from just the lens, almost like
- 17:25Speaker 2: I know the story and know how to follow it.
- 17:28Speaker 2: And listen, there are certain adaptations where you just know
- 17:33Speaker 2: it's going to be slightly corny. Like you go in
- 17:35Speaker 2: kind of knowing there's going to be an element of cheese,
- 17:37Speaker 2: you know, like, are they really going to be able
- 17:39Speaker 2: to make this book?
- 17:41Speaker 3: He's one of those people.
- 17:43Speaker 2: What?
- 17:44Speaker 3: The book people. it was so much better. The book
- 17:47Speaker 3: was so much better than the movie.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I'm like, that's almost always the case.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Okay.
- 17:53Speaker 5: You little bookworms and go slither away into your book
- 17:57Speaker 5: world and leave the big screen for us non-readers.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Okay.
- 18:00Speaker 3: And that's like every single time there's a book adaptation,
- 18:05Speaker 3: the book people are like, the book was so much better.
- 18:07Speaker 2: I was more so meaning that it was, it's, Because
- 18:12Speaker 2: of what the story is about and how it's written,
- 18:14Speaker 2: I think making it into a movie was just like
- 18:16Speaker 2: really challenging. I don't know how they could, because a
- 18:18Speaker 2: lot of it's in her head. So I guess it's
- 18:21Speaker 2: hard to see the thought of.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Something in your head. I don't know.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Right.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Like a dream.
- 18:26Speaker 4: But thanks for your opinion on... Book readers? Just readers.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Me and Alex are all on the other side of
- 18:33Speaker 3: the internet.
- 18:34Speaker 6: You do read.
- 18:35Speaker 1: You just have to read self-help stuff.
- 18:37Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I mean, I wouldn't say I'm
- 18:39Speaker 4: a reader. It takes a minute. It takes a minute.
- 18:42Speaker 4: The self-help ones. Anyway, so.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Not a shame to admit it.
- 18:47Speaker 4: I thought Verity, I was like, it was an easy watch.
- 18:50Speaker 2: I knew, I think my expectations were probably low enough
- 18:54Speaker 2: that I was like, it was whatever, fun.
- 18:57Speaker 4: It is getting slammed.
- 18:59Speaker 3: Slammed.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Everyone's a hater because everyone has asked me about it.
- 19:04Speaker 2: And granted, in my theater, there were several times where
- 19:07Speaker 2: we all were giggling out loud and I don't think.
- 19:09Speaker 4: It was supposed to be funny. You know?
- 19:12Speaker 3: Dang, that's not good.
- 19:13Speaker 4: I think if.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Maybe Jennifer Lawrence had played the Dakota Johnson role.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 19:20Speaker 3: You think Dakota Johnson made it cheesy? You don't like her, huh?
- 19:23Speaker 4: I love her.
- 19:24Speaker 3: As an actress, you don't like her.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't connect with her as an actress.
- 19:28Speaker 4: But when I watch interviews of her, I love her.
- 19:31Speaker 2: But she's so deadpan and sarcastic that I don't see
- 19:34Speaker 2: the transition to the acting roles.
- 19:38Speaker 5: I saw this interview that her and Anne Hathaway did.
- 19:40Speaker 5: And like, I can't remember where it was, but they
- 19:42Speaker 5: were showing her this new trend.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Where like, just thinking about it makes me laugh.
- 19:48Speaker 5: You take a saran wrap, like a piece of saran
- 19:50Speaker 5: wrap and you put it over your face and then
- 19:51Speaker 5: you put your makeup on like you would put it
- 19:53Speaker 5: on like all your wet you know like your foundation
- 19:55Speaker 5: your concealer you leave it down on the table and
- 19:58Speaker 5: then the morning you just flip it over and you
- 20:00Speaker 5: put that on your face and it like is supposed
- 20:01Speaker 5: to like That's crazy.
- 20:04Speaker 3: It's a trend right now.
- 20:05Speaker 4: We should do that.
- 20:06Speaker 3: It's a trend. And, like, they showed Dakota Johnson and Halloween.
- 20:10Speaker 5: Dakota Johnson is, like, her reaction to it is just, like,
- 20:14Speaker 5: we gotta, like, we gotta, this is, this can't be serious.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Like, she was just, like, at one point, we gotta
- 20:21Speaker 3: land our trees and just, like.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:25Speaker 3: By the way, when I'm watching them, I'm like, brilliant.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Like that is like, so did they do it?
- 20:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:32Speaker 3: She did it right then and there.
- 20:33Speaker 5: Like she did on the surround rep and then she
- 20:34Speaker 5: flipped it over, put it on her face and then
- 20:36Speaker 5: she just like blended it with a beauty blender and
- 20:37Speaker 5: it looked great.
- 20:39Speaker 3: And I'm like, if I tried to do that, it
- 20:42Speaker 3: would look.
- 20:43Speaker 6: I think that's your next video.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely.
- 20:46Speaker 4: I'm begging for this.
- 20:49Speaker 3: But it looked great on her.
- 20:50Speaker 5: And they're like, this is supposed to save you time
- 20:52Speaker 5: in the morning. I'm like, How much time do we
- 20:54Speaker 5: need to save in the morning?
- 20:54Speaker 2: Yikes.
- 20:56Speaker 5: I don't know where I got on, but just watching
- 20:58Speaker 5: that video was so funny.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Because she's really funny.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Yeah. And that's what I'm saying. I really like her
- 21:03Speaker 2: as just an individual. And I think she's so pretty
- 21:06Speaker 2: and I love her hair and stuff. But anyways, I
- 21:09Speaker 2: feel like the reviews have been tough. And I was
- 21:12Speaker 2: personally hoping that maybe one day a movie would come
- 21:14Speaker 2: to us and see if we'd want to be a
- 21:17Speaker 2: podcast where the actors are cool.
- 21:21Speaker 3: You know where it could have happened is Grey's Anatomy.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 21:25Speaker 5: But they turned a blind eye to scrubbing in.
- 21:29Speaker 3: A blind eye.
- 21:31Speaker 4: Well, we've kind of turned a blind eye to them
- 21:33Speaker 4: as well.
- 21:33Speaker 5: We've given them plenty of years of full 2020 vision.
- 21:37Speaker 2: There was a time where they really could have had.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Us on there and it had been an absolute thrill.
- 21:44Speaker 1: It doesn't really work when you think about it. Cause
- 21:47Speaker 1: you would, you would have, cause you've had the actors
- 21:50Speaker 1: on here. It'd be weird to have the characters on here.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Like where, remember they had a, they had a soul
- 21:57Speaker 2: whole storyline where these two podcasters were on in the hospital.
- 22:02Speaker 1: Oh, that could work. I'm talking about when Owen and, um,
- 22:06Speaker 1: Kim Raver were on a podcast. No, Kim Raver was
- 22:09Speaker 1: on a podcast talking about this amazing medical breakthrough and
- 22:12Speaker 1: I was thinking of that. That wouldn't work.
- 22:14Speaker 4: I must have missed that episode.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Me too.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Definitely did not hit my zeitgeist.
- 22:17Speaker 4: That must have been the most recent season. That sure was.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Missed that one. Oh, yeah.
- 22:23Speaker 2: What if we had Meredith Grey on talking about the
- 22:25Speaker 2: new breakthrough on the scrubbing?
- 22:28Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:29Speaker 3: No, that is weird.
- 22:30Speaker 5: But you know what I saw that I wanted to
- 22:32Speaker 5: bring up because it just like makes my heart melt?
- 22:36Speaker 1: What?
- 22:37Speaker 5: Dean Unglert photographed a scrubber's wedding for free and she
- 22:41Speaker 5: wrote about it in our Facebook group and she basically
- 22:44Speaker 5: like put it in there after the fact, cause she
- 22:46Speaker 5: don't want to like jinx anything, but basically she just
- 22:47Speaker 5: said how much she loves his photography and like, would
- 22:49Speaker 5: he photograph her wedding? And he did, it was somewhere
- 22:52Speaker 5: that he could like drive. Um, he did it for
- 22:55Speaker 5: free because he wanted to like pay it forward because
- 22:57Speaker 5: I think some, like somebody did that for him for
- 22:59Speaker 5: his wedding or something, like something along those lines. But
- 23:02Speaker 5: I was just like, that is so Dean to like go.
- 23:05Speaker 5: And like, that's a lot of pressure to photograph somebody's wedding.
- 23:08Speaker 5: Like I would be scared.
- 23:12Speaker 4: I'm sure the photos are beautiful.
- 23:13Speaker 5: Yeah, and it was funny when she wrote about it
- 23:15Speaker 5: in the Facebook group. She was like, please don't inundate
- 23:17Speaker 5: him with people asking Dean to photograph their wedding.
- 23:20Speaker 4: I mean, it could be a lucrative business for him.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:26Speaker 3: He's an amazing photographer.
- 23:27Speaker 4: I know, he's amazing.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:29Speaker 4: He's like, locals only. Only if I can drive.
- 23:31Speaker 3: I just thought it was really heartwarming and sweet.
- 23:33Speaker 4: I know, he's the best.
- 23:34Speaker 5: He really is the best. And then I want to
- 23:39Speaker 5: talk about Dancing with the Stars because... Last week, Britt
- 23:43Speaker 5: went home.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Shocking.
- 23:45Speaker 3: I wasn't shocked.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Shocking in the sense that they seem so shocked. And
- 23:53Speaker 2: I keep getting messages when I've predicted who I think
- 23:56Speaker 2: is going to be in the top three. They're like,
- 23:58Speaker 2: don't underestimate the Hanson fans. They're such a strong, powerful group.
- 24:04Speaker 2: And I was like, I felt like he was going
- 24:05Speaker 2: to go far based on just his fan base and
- 24:08Speaker 2: how likable he is.
- 24:11Speaker 3: I'm having a hard time connecting with several of them.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Who are you having the hardest time connecting to?
- 24:17Speaker 3: Jenna Dewan.
- 24:19Speaker 4: I know why, though. But why?
- 24:21Speaker 2: It's because the whole concept of the show is to
- 24:26Speaker 2: watch someone come in and be really vulnerable and nervous to.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Try this new thing that they're not going to be
- 24:32Speaker 4: good at.
- 24:33Speaker 2: And there's this lack of being able to connect to
- 24:36Speaker 2: her because she's not really having to.
- 24:40Speaker 4: She's amazing. Like her dances, she looks like a pro
- 24:42Speaker 4: out there.
- 24:43Speaker 2: But I think because of that, there's this lack of
- 24:46Speaker 2: wanting to root for her because she's already, she's already
- 24:49Speaker 2: where she should be.
- 24:51Speaker 5: But like all of them, like really like most of
- 24:53Speaker 5: the men, I'm not like, I really am only connected
- 24:55Speaker 5: to like Guillermo and Ezra, like, and Maura, those three.
- 25:01Speaker 4: That's a strong three. Yeah. That's my top.
- 25:03Speaker 5: Three because I can't get there with really, and then
- 25:06Speaker 5: like Tatiana, I could say Tatiana would be like my fourth.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. That's a good group, and I also love Amber.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. I like her, too, but I also don't
- 25:15Speaker 3: feel connected to her.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I think I'm connected to her because I felt so
- 25:21Speaker 2: sad at how her Olympic run went because they thought
- 25:24Speaker 2: she was going to maybe take gold, and she just
- 25:26Speaker 2: had a rough go and messed up.
- 25:29Speaker 4: I'm not aware.
- 25:29Speaker 2: So I think I'm rooting for her to have her
- 25:32Speaker 2: redemption on the dance floor.
- 25:34Speaker 3: They should make that clear. Did they?
- 25:36Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 25:37Speaker 2: It may have been in her package. Maybe during like
- 25:40Speaker 2: dedicate or like the more.
- 25:41Speaker 3: Emotional night she'll talk about it. Okay.
- 25:44Speaker 2: But yeah, I've seen a lot of that about Jenna
- 25:46Speaker 2: Dewan and Harry Shum.
- 25:48Speaker 4: It's almost like they're too good.
- 25:49Speaker 5: But even with like Sierra Miller, like I was like
- 25:52Speaker 5: really excited because like everybody loves her to like get
- 25:54Speaker 5: to know her more.
- 25:55Speaker 3: And I'm like, it's giving nothing.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Well, I also think there's so many people and I
- 26:00Speaker 2: feel like they're having to rush through the show a lot.
- 26:03Speaker 4: So maybe as people, it.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Dwindles down, we'll have more time getting to know people
- 26:07Speaker 2: during the packages and stuff, because I do feel like
- 26:10Speaker 2: it's very rushed.
- 26:11Speaker 3: And even Tyler Cameron. I'm getting nothing from him.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Like.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Jackson Olsen, nothing.
- 26:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Maybe it's because it's all going really fast. There's not
- 26:19Speaker 2: enough time to really sit down and get to know them.
- 26:22Speaker 5: But I'm seeing a lot of hate online for Guillermo.
- 26:25Speaker 5: It's so unwarranted.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Do you know what really pisses me off?
- 26:30Speaker 5: And like, this is my first season watching, so take
- 26:32Speaker 5: it with a grain of salt.
- 26:33Speaker 3: But like, it's not called the best dancing star. It's
- 26:37Speaker 3: not called the best dancing star. It's called dancing with
- 26:40Speaker 3: the stars.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 26:42Speaker 5: It's not the best dancer shall win competition.
- 26:45Speaker 4: It's not called B, D, S, W.
- 26:50Speaker 3: No, it's called D, W, T, S.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:54Speaker 5: Does not mean the best dancer will win. Does the
- 26:58Speaker 5: best host win the Emmy all the time?
- 27:03Speaker 6: Well, that's the idea, I think.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Does the best actress win the Academy Award every time?
- 27:07Speaker 4: Well, it's pretty subjective, right?
- 27:09Speaker 3: Exactly, Beccatilly. Exactly.
- 27:12Speaker 4: And it's based on votes.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Exactly, Beccatilly.
- 27:14Speaker 2: But if the majority votes for someone who they consider
- 27:18Speaker 2: to be the best dancer objectively.
- 27:20Speaker 3: You hit the nail on the head.
- 27:24Speaker 4: But that's what I'm saying.
- 27:25Speaker 1: I get.
- 27:27Speaker 4: I get what you're saying. And do I do I
- 27:29Speaker 4: think Guillermo is going to like take it all home?
- 27:31Speaker 2: No.
- 27:32Speaker 4: But do I think he deserves to be there with
- 27:34Speaker 4: what he's done so far? Absolutely.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Because people are comparing him to Andy from last season
- 27:40Speaker 2: because Andy, like everyone loved him and wanted they were
- 27:43Speaker 2: rooting for him.
- 27:44Speaker 4: But he wasn't improving, but they wanted they loved him.
- 27:48Speaker 4: So he got.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Through multiple weeks and people were mad about it. So
- 27:52Speaker 2: I think they're trying to compare the two, but it's
- 27:54Speaker 2: not the same because Guillermo is improving.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Much so. Much so.
- 28:02Speaker 2: And I just love watching Whitney's face every time it's
- 28:06Speaker 2: not their name being called for who's going home. I
- 28:09Speaker 2: literally think that she thought she was going to be
- 28:12Speaker 2: on a plane with her husband and kids going home. And....
- 28:18Speaker 4: She was like, there's no way.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Like, in my mind, I think she's like, there's no
- 28:22Speaker 2: way I'm going to make it past week two.
- 28:23Speaker 4: But he is.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Like, he's doing such a good job. I think he's
- 28:26Speaker 3: going to go far.
- 28:27Speaker 5: I think that I relate to him because I'm like,
- 28:29Speaker 5: I feel like I, too, would have a similar arc
- 28:33Speaker 5: to his where I just, like, don't. I'm not good,
- 28:37Speaker 5: but I think I could improve, but I don't think
- 28:39Speaker 5: I'm ever going to be like Jawan, Jawan.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Jenna, Jawan, Jenna, Jawan, Jenna.
- 28:45Speaker 5: I don't think I'll ever be Jenna, Jawan status or
- 28:48Speaker 5: even Amber. Like, I don't even think I could get
- 28:50Speaker 5: to that level with, Hours and hundreds of hours of training. Like,
- 28:54Speaker 5: I just don't think my body moves that way.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:56Speaker 5: So I feel like I connect to Guillermo because I
- 28:58Speaker 5: feel like that is how I would be on Dancing
- 29:01Speaker 5: with the Stars.
- 29:02Speaker 4: But you know what?
- 29:02Speaker 2: Now that I'm saying that, it is interesting because Charli
- 29:05Speaker 2: D'Amelio was on and won.
- 29:07Speaker 4: And she's a dancer. But she made it all the way.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Did people like her?
- 29:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Okay.
- 29:15Speaker 4: But I'm saying this whole.
- 29:16Speaker 2: I guess my whole argument has been I think it's
- 29:19Speaker 2: because there's this lack of... vulnerability or like wanting to
- 29:25Speaker 2: or improvement with Jenna and Harry's.
- 29:28Speaker 4: But I also feel like that was probably the case
- 29:30Speaker 4: with Charlie as well.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Right.
- 29:32Speaker 4: She was probably already really good.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:34Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 29:34Speaker 5: It's hard for me because I literally have never watched
- 29:36Speaker 5: a single season up until now.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Well, everything's fresh. Everything's new.
- 29:42Speaker 1: So new.
- 29:43Speaker 4: So new.
- 29:43Speaker 3: I feel like a kid in a candy store.
- 29:45Speaker 2: But I would love to have Jenna on, Jenna Dewan,
- 29:48Speaker 2: because I would like to talk about that. Just like
- 29:51Speaker 2: what it's like, because to be so good at something
- 29:55Speaker 2: and then to have people... saying, like, I'm not feeling
- 29:57Speaker 2: connected to it.
- 29:58Speaker 5: I know, but every week, every single week, she says
- 30:02Speaker 5: something to the lines of, like, this is really hard,
- 30:05Speaker 5: even if you have a dance background.
- 30:06Speaker 3: This is totally new.
- 30:07Speaker 5: I've never done this before. Like, I'm like, she's really
- 30:10Speaker 5: trying to hammer it in that it's different.
- 30:12Speaker 4: I believe it, though. I do, too.
- 30:14Speaker 2: But I also think when you're just that good and
- 30:16Speaker 2: you have that much rhythm, you definitely have the advantage
- 30:20Speaker 2: of being better than the others. Yeah. Yeah.
- 30:23Speaker 4: So what, what are, it's Mariah Carey night tomorrow night.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:27Speaker 5: The fact that nobody's dancing to all I want for Christmas.
- 30:30Speaker 2: What?
- 30:31Speaker 4: Always be my baby is what I was shocked by.
- 30:33Speaker 5: Oh, all I want for Christmas is like her biggest hit.
- 30:37Speaker 3: It's basically Christmas time.
- 30:39Speaker 1: It's really not.
- 30:40Speaker 4: It could have been a jive.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Huh?
- 30:42Speaker 4: Could have been a good jive.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Could have been an amazing cha-cha.
- 30:46Speaker 4: That's not the same thing.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Oh, um, Yeah, so I was shocked because there was
- 30:52Speaker 2: a lot of, when Britt and Taylor went home, Britt
- 30:55Speaker 2: immediately turned to him and was like, I'm so sorry.
- 30:57Speaker 2: And everyone was like, why did she say that? Why
- 31:00Speaker 2: was that the first thing out of her mouth? So
- 31:02Speaker 2: it was like, was there something going on behind the scenes?
- 31:05Speaker 2: Did she know it was coming?
- 31:07Speaker 4: I don't know. There was all this talk. Are there
- 31:10Speaker 4: conspiracy theories?
- 31:11Speaker 2: Yeah, because I think for a lot of people, it
- 31:13Speaker 2: came out of nowhere. People were outraged. I just think
- 31:18Speaker 2: she's an amazing choreographer. And everyone, if you watched all
- 31:22Speaker 2: the pros, everyone seems to love her. And I think
- 31:24Speaker 2: she choreographs all the cast dances. I think she's amazing.
- 31:27Speaker 2: So I think people are just like, why is she
- 31:30Speaker 2: not going further? Like, she should be going so much
- 31:33Speaker 2: further than she does every year.
- 31:34Speaker 5: I also heard that her, like, dream partner that she's, like,
- 31:37Speaker 5: always wanted was Harry Shum.
- 31:39Speaker 3: So I'm like, why didn't they give him her?
- 31:41Speaker 4: I know.
- 31:41Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 31:43Speaker 1: It feels.
- 31:44Speaker 2: But I think they thought with Taylor Hanson, he's like
- 31:46Speaker 2: younger and they thought like he has a big enough
- 31:49Speaker 2: fan base.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Younger than Harry Shum Jr.? No, no, no.
- 31:51Speaker 2: I'm saying younger than her other partner she's had before.
- 31:55Speaker 3: They feel like they're the same age to me.
- 31:57Speaker 4: Yeah, no.
- 31:58Speaker 3: Everybody keeps calling him Harry Shum. Is it Harry Shum?
- 32:00Speaker 4: Oh, Harry Shum Jr.
- 32:01Speaker 3: Is it Shum?
- 32:02Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 32:02Speaker 6: How old do you think he is?
- 32:04Speaker 3: Harry Shum?
- 32:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:05Speaker 3: Shum or Shum?
- 32:06Speaker 6: I think it's Shum, but I don't know.
- 32:07Speaker 4: I thought it was Shum too.
- 32:08Speaker 3: But everybody says Shum.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Well, I feel like they would know. They're with him, right? Like,
- 32:12Speaker 1: if they're saying it on that show, wouldn't they say, hey, Harry? No,
- 32:14Speaker 1: I don't know what they're saying.
- 32:14Speaker 3: I actually don't know how they're saying it.
- 32:15Speaker 4: We'll pay attention.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll pay attention this week.
- 32:17Speaker 1: How old do you think he is?
- 32:18Speaker 3: I think he's 41.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Becca? I think he's... This is an impromptu how old
- 32:23Speaker 1: are they game.
- 32:24Speaker 2: 44.
- 32:25Speaker 6: And you're right, it's 44. Very good, Becca.
- 32:27Speaker 3: What about Taylor Hansen?
- 32:29Speaker 6: Well, I'd be happy to look that up. Thank you.
- 32:32Speaker 3: I'm guessing Taylor Hansen's 47.
- 32:33Speaker 4: Oh, I'm guessing he's 42.
- 32:36Speaker 2: 43.
- 32:36Speaker 6: Very nice, Becca. Gift that ages continues.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Shoot.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Anyways, I would love to have Britt on. I was
- 32:47Speaker 2: just telling you her story. Her story is amazing of
- 32:49Speaker 2: her relationship with her husband. He was a contestant on
- 32:52Speaker 2: Dancing with the Stars, and he's deaf. She learned sign
- 32:55Speaker 2: language to be able to teach him and communicate with him.
- 33:00Speaker 3: That's so crazy. That seems hard.
- 33:03Speaker 4: They did a dance.
- 33:04Speaker 2: I think it was either a contemporary dance or something
- 33:06Speaker 2: freestyle dance. And they did a whole section where it's
- 33:10Speaker 2: dead silent. The music stops so that the audience could
- 33:12Speaker 2: hear what he's hearing while he's dancing.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Chills. Anyways.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I just got chills hearing that.
- 33:18Speaker 4: They are married and their story is so beautiful.
- 33:21Speaker 2: And I just, a lot of people are like, I
- 33:23Speaker 2: wouldn't be shocked if she like is just over the
- 33:26Speaker 2: show and leaves. I don't think, I don't know if
- 33:28Speaker 2: she feels that way, but I would love to talk.
- 33:30Speaker 2: I would love to have her on.
- 33:31Speaker 3: The ask is out, Becca Tilly.
- 33:32Speaker 4: She follows you.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Does she follow you?
- 33:35Speaker 2: No. What?
- 33:36Speaker 4: Yeah, she follows you. She's a, Tot. Tanya Tot.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Well, if we can't get her, maybe I DM her.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Really just go grassroots on this podcast here. We have
- 33:48Speaker 3: to go grassroots. We're going to start going grassroots in here.
- 33:52Speaker 4: What was it?
- 33:53Speaker 2: Oh, the thing about the grunting in the workout class
- 33:55Speaker 2: and everyone was in the comments was like, the tots
- 33:58Speaker 2: are really quiet today.
- 34:00Speaker 4: They were absent. They couldn't even defend you on that one.
- 34:06Speaker 3: It's fine because.
- 34:08Speaker 3: I know in my heart what's right.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Okay.
- 34:14Speaker 5: Okay.
- 34:14Speaker 4: Good to know.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Being free to express myself.
- 34:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:18Speaker 2: I want to talk about your spiral with the Clorox
- 34:21Speaker 2: wipes because I didn't quite understand the panic, but we're
- 34:25Speaker 2: going to take a break and we'll be right back.
- 34:28Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 34:45Speaker 4: We're back.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Okay, so you, your whole life, especially within the last decade,
- 34:52Speaker 2: has been.
- 34:53Speaker 4: Decade? Wow. Yeah, I mean, basically since I've known you.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Okay.
- 34:57Speaker 4: Has been to be.
- 34:59Speaker 2: As health conscious, keep microplastics, keep your endocrine.
- 35:05Speaker 4: Disruptors far away.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Minimal, yeah. Not drink out of aluminum.
- 35:11Speaker 4: Just like many different things.
- 35:13Speaker 2: And you expose yourself with a habit that you've been
- 35:16Speaker 2: doing for many years.
- 35:19Speaker 5: You know what's so crazy is like you think your
- 35:23Speaker 5: day to day, like I do, I try to minimize
- 35:25Speaker 5: all the toxins, like all the things. And then there
- 35:27Speaker 5: was something that I've been doing every single day that's
- 35:29Speaker 5: like so insanely toxic.
- 35:31Speaker 3: I had no idea. So I posted like, you know,
- 35:34Speaker 3: like it's, is it like a trend? You do like
- 35:36Speaker 3: my five to nine before my nine to five. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Okay.
- 35:40Speaker 5: So I did that, but it was, the times were
- 35:42Speaker 5: obviously different, but just like my routine that I do
- 35:45Speaker 5: before I start work. Right. And the last thing I
- 35:47Speaker 5: do is I wipe down my microphone and my desk
- 35:50Speaker 5: with Clorox wipes every single day.
- 35:53Speaker 4: Full on.
- 35:53Speaker 5: I wipe down Becca's mic. I wipe down the podcast mic.
- 35:55Speaker 5: I wipe it down after you're done. Like I'm constantly
- 35:57Speaker 5: Clorox wiping everything. I have never received more DMs when
- 36:03Speaker 5: I tell you in my Aside from my, like, when
- 36:06Speaker 5: I get my period and stuff, more messages of people
- 36:09Speaker 5: being like, Clorox wipes are endocrine disruptors.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Don't touch them with your bare hands. Wear gloves. I
- 36:15Speaker 3: was like, so now.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Yeah, they're by your feet. There's, like, a new wipe.
- 36:24Speaker 3: It's by your feet. There's, like, a big tub of
- 36:27Speaker 3: apparently cleaner wipes.
- 36:28Speaker 2: Oh, I see.
- 36:29Speaker 3: I knocked it over.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 36:31Speaker 4: Yeah, that was what that was. The thumb.
- 36:35Speaker 3: And so now I have these, like, cleaner wipes.
- 36:38Speaker 5: Because I'm like, the last thing I'm doing is putting
- 36:40Speaker 5: on gloves before I wipe down my desk.
- 36:42Speaker 4: That's a commitment.
- 36:43Speaker 5: But it's just like, it was very eye-opening for me
- 36:45Speaker 5: because I'm like, there's things that you do and you
- 36:47Speaker 5: just don't even realize it.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Do you know what I mean?
- 36:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:50Speaker 4: Sometimes you just gotta live life, though, right? Let go,
- 36:53Speaker 4: let God?
- 36:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:54Speaker 4: Maybe just take off the pressure of.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Doing everything right. No, because now that it was in
- 36:59Speaker 3: my head, there's no way I can touch a Clorox
- 37:01Speaker 3: wipe again.
- 37:03Speaker 4: But, like, normally when I.
- 37:06Speaker 4: Wipe something down with a Clorox wipe, I wash my
- 37:08Speaker 4: hand after.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Not good enough. And I don't. I just wipe it
- 37:12Speaker 3: down and I just sit my ass down for hours.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:15Speaker 3: Seeping into my pores.
- 37:16Speaker 4: My endocrines are very disrupted. I'll tell you that much.
- 37:20Speaker 2: I'll tell you that much.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:22Speaker 5: And then they hit you with like the TTC stuff.
- 37:24Speaker 5: I'm like, okay, this is where the spiral begins.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 37:29Speaker 2: I think of you every time I see an outrageous.
- 37:34Speaker 2: AI video I'm like I literally feel like Tanya if
- 37:37Speaker 2: she saw this she'd send it to me like how
- 37:39Speaker 2: cool is this I saw this one where this girl
- 37:43Speaker 2: and this guy are standing in front of this airplane
- 37:45Speaker 2: that's taking off and the guy runs and it's sunset
- 37:48Speaker 2: and she like launches him up and he does like
- 37:51Speaker 2: a back flip and I was like I just know
- 37:56Speaker 2: if Tanya saw this she'd be.
- 37:57Speaker 5: Like whoa that's so cool I saw a girl running
- 38:02Speaker 5: in a spiral staircase that went in like a loop-de-loop.
- 38:04Speaker 3: And I was like, wow. How does she do that?
- 38:09Speaker 4: That's some core strength. Dang.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Tough.
- 38:15Speaker 4: All right.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Well, that's all the time we have for today.
- 38:18Speaker 4: That's all. But don't you worry your little head because
- 38:22Speaker 4: we are going to.
- 38:22Speaker 5: Before we go, I did mean to ask you, have
- 38:24Speaker 5: you been doing the artist's way?
- 38:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:28Speaker 4: Just a morning pit.
- 38:29Speaker 2: No.
- 38:29Speaker 4: But I've been doing the morning pages. It's so hard.
- 38:33Speaker 5: So I, too, did not do my solo date this week.
- 38:37Speaker 5: But it doesn't mean that I'm out. It just means
- 38:41Speaker 5: I'm down. And I will do two solo dates this week.
- 38:45Speaker 2: I'm realizing something that I... This practice is going to
- 38:48Speaker 2: be really good for me. Because I hate being told
- 38:52Speaker 2: what to do.
- 38:53Speaker 4: Yes, you do.
- 38:53Speaker 2: And I hate being told that, like, to do this
- 38:57Speaker 2: right and to be committed to it, you... You have
- 39:00Speaker 2: to commit and do the morning pages every day. You
- 39:02Speaker 2: have to do, you know, I'm really struggling with that
- 39:05Speaker 2: part of it.
- 39:07Speaker 3: This is where your breakthrough is going to happen.
- 39:08Speaker 1: I know.
- 39:09Speaker 5: Because I do think you need something, someone to like
- 39:12Speaker 5: hold you accountable and push you through this 12 weeks.
- 39:14Speaker 4: I know.
- 39:14Speaker 5: Come 2027, it's going to be like, watch out.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Becca Tilly is going to be a new person.
- 39:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:21Speaker 3: But I'm with you. I've done the morning pages every day.
- 39:23Speaker 2: And you're so dedicated and you have a lot of
- 39:27Speaker 2: structure and routine.
- 39:28Speaker 4: And if it's hard for you, imagine. what my I can't.
- 39:31Speaker 3: I knew there was no way you're keeping up with it.
- 39:33Speaker 4: I am. I just didn't do the same thing you
- 39:37Speaker 4: didn't do.
- 39:39Speaker 3: I did try.
- 39:40Speaker 5: I tried to take myself out to lunch one day
- 39:41Speaker 5: and I couldn't find parking. Yeah.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Wow.
- 39:47Speaker 4: Okay. Well, I feel better.
- 39:49Speaker 3: So the attempt was there. I just did the follow through.
- 39:51Speaker 3: It didn't happen. I was like, I'll just do it
- 39:53Speaker 3: another day. And then another day didn't come.
- 39:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:56Speaker 5: But I'm going to do two dates this week to
- 39:57Speaker 5: make up for it. I'm not letting, normally I would
- 39:59Speaker 5: let this like make me quit and.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Just like, Oh, whatever.
- 40:01Speaker 3: I'm gonna start over later. No, I'm not quitting.
- 40:04Speaker 2: You're just going to, why don't you just commit to
- 40:06Speaker 2: do it? Like, why don't you just do one this
- 40:07Speaker 2: week so that you're okay. Two.
- 40:11Speaker 4: What are you going to do?
- 40:12Speaker 3: I'm going to take myself to lunch and I'm going
- 40:14Speaker 3: to color me mine.
- 40:15Speaker 4: Okay.
- 40:16Speaker 2: I told Haley that we both said Color Me Mine
- 40:18Speaker 2: and she was like, y'all, like how y'all view artists
- 40:22Speaker 2: is like that.
- 40:23Speaker 4: Color Me Mine.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:24Speaker 3: Color Me Mine. Stop numero uno.
- 40:27Speaker 6: Are you going to record yourself at Color Me Mine?
- 40:30Speaker 4: Oh, I'm sure she will. I sure can.
- 40:32Speaker 1: I'd love to see people's little double takes. Like, that
- 40:34Speaker 1: woman is really just here by herself, huh? Just making
- 40:36Speaker 1: a pot. Great.
- 40:38Speaker 2: I feel like Color Me Mine is a very, I
- 40:40Speaker 2: think that's why I feel like it'd be a great
- 40:42Speaker 2: solo date. Because it feels like something you definitely, you
- 40:45Speaker 2: know what you should do is go to a movie
- 40:47Speaker 2: by yourself.
- 40:47Speaker 4: That's so easy.
- 40:48Speaker 1: That one's easy.
- 40:49Speaker 3: I've never seen anyone at Color Me Mine without children.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Oh.
- 40:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I've never seen them without children. And I've never
- 40:55Speaker 3: gone without children.
- 40:55Speaker 4: I've only been without children.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Wow, shook.
- 40:58Speaker 4: I've never been alone, but I've only been without kids.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:01Speaker 4: With friends.
- 41:02Speaker 3: Yeah, never. Okay.
- 41:03Speaker 4: So we'll look forward to hearing about that next week.
- 41:07Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so we're going to be back
- 41:09Speaker 3: on Thursday. We're going to do our Grey's Anatomy recap,
- 41:11Speaker 3: and we have a really fun game. Mark, take it away.
