Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Kiss Breakfast.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Alright, here's Nat with a hit of celeb news.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Everyone's talking about this morning, Princess Diana, the late Princess
- 0:08Speaker 3: Diana's brother, is releasing a book. It's called Swan Song, Diana,
- 0:13Speaker 3: My Sister. Now this comes out next week, but there's
- 0:16Speaker 3: an excerpt that's already been obtained by the Daily Mail,
- 0:19Speaker 3: and in that excerpt we know that Charles, the now
- 0:23Speaker 3: King of England, said something extremely disrespectful, according to Diana's brother,
- 0:28Speaker 3: about Diana right after she passed. So in case you
- 0:31Speaker 3: don't know, Diana died after her vehicle crashed inside a
- 0:35Speaker 3: Paris tunnel because she was being chased by paparazzi.
- 0:38Speaker 4: That's back in 1997.
- 0:39Speaker 3: She was only 36 at the time and William and
- 0:41Speaker 3: Harry were 15 and 12.
- 0:43Speaker 4: It was a tragedy, obviously. So sad.
- 0:46Speaker 3: So at some stage, Diana's brother was on the phone
- 0:50Speaker 3: to Charles. By the way, they'd already split by that point.
- 0:53Speaker 3: So they divorced a year earlier, split a year before that.
- 0:55Speaker 3: So they'd been split for two years, divorced for one.
- 0:58Speaker 4: But he hadn't gone public with Camilla yet.
- 1:01Speaker 3: So, you know, that's kind of the backstory on what
- 1:03Speaker 3: was happening with his relationship with Diana at the time. So, yeah,
- 1:06Speaker 3: they spoke on the phone and Diana's brother alleges this
- 1:10Speaker 3: is what went down. He says in the book, he
- 1:11Speaker 3: unleashed down the phone what I've always taken to be
- 1:14Speaker 3: his pent-up content for Diana.
- 1:16Speaker 4: This is what Charles said, apparently. Rest assured, we'll forget
- 1:19Speaker 4: her soon enough.
- 1:20Speaker 2: He said that to her brother?
- 1:22Speaker 4: Her brother. About the mother of his children and his
- 1:25Speaker 4: now dead ex-wife.
- 1:27Speaker 5: I mean, you.
- 1:28Speaker 3: And apparently the brother said, I can't believe you just
- 1:30Speaker 3: said that and then hung up on Charles.
- 1:32Speaker 5: I mean, if that is true, you wouldn't say that
- 1:35Speaker 5: to the brother.
- 1:36Speaker 4: At all, ever.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Unless you have so much disdain and hate for someone.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Like, that's an insane thing to say.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree.
- 1:45Speaker 5: I mean, the only thing I would say is, and
- 1:47Speaker 5: I'm a big fan of The Crown, so I've watched
- 1:49Speaker 5: it all. It's not all Charles being a prick, right? Like,
- 1:55Speaker 5: there was some Diana stuff there. And just think of.
- 1:57Speaker 2: There was.
- 1:58Speaker 4: According to a TV show.
- 2:00Speaker 5: Yeah, it's not like she's some angel. There was stuff
- 2:03Speaker 5: from her as well. But if your ex, let's say,
- 2:06Speaker 5: because they would have been broken up for years by then.
- 2:08Speaker 4: I just said two years. Yeah.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Yeah, two years.
- 2:10Speaker 4: Only divorced for a year.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Would you.
- 2:13Speaker 6: I would never say something that horrific to the brother and, like,
- 2:19Speaker 6: the mother of my children.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:21Speaker 2: No, you wouldn't say it. You might think it.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Think it in your head, whatever. Even thinking it, like, yeah,
- 2:26Speaker 3: maybe a passing thought. But at the end of the day,
- 2:29Speaker 3: like Amy just said, that is the mother of your
- 2:31Speaker 3: children who now are going to suffer for the rest
- 2:33Speaker 3: of their life not having a mother.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and saying it to the brother. I don't believe
- 2:38Speaker 2: he said it. That's mental. You just wouldn't say that,
- 2:40Speaker 2: would you? You're a big Charles supporter, aren't you? I
- 2:42Speaker 2: do like Charles, yeah.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Because you're defending him and you don't even know the bloke.
- 2:45Speaker 3: And you're referencing The Crown.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I watched The Crown.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Yeah, wow.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Another good movie called The Queen where they cover that. Oh, okay, yeah.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Are you a royalist? And I've never realised.
- 2:54Speaker 2: No, I'd get rid of them.
- 2:55Speaker 5: When we had that referendum when we were young, I
- 2:57Speaker 5: would have voted, I think it's ridiculous. You just got
- 2:59Speaker 5: people born into it to rule the.
- 3:01Speaker 2: It's mental.
- 3:02Speaker 4: But how much power do they actually have over Australia?
- 3:04Speaker 5: It's all just tourism now, yeah. I would get rid
- 3:06Speaker 5: of it, but I like the history of it. Yeah,
- 3:09Speaker 5: what were you going to say?
- 3:10Speaker 2: I was going to say, it's so vile.
- 3:11Speaker 4: Like, just so, like, it's so incredible that you'd say
- 3:16Speaker 4: something like that about an ex.
- 3:18Speaker 2: To the brother. To the brother.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Like, it's insane. And if he did, that's just, it's dog.
- 3:24Speaker 4: In other news, Benny Blanco, the husband of Celine.
- 3:28Speaker 2: The palace have responded.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Yes, the palace have responded. It's quite literally breaking right now.
- 3:33Speaker 1: But essentially they have come out and said that not
- 3:36Speaker 1: all judgment can be clear and that you might forget
- 3:39Speaker 1: things along the way is essentially what they have said.
- 3:41Speaker 2: What does that mean?
- 3:42Speaker 4: That they are saying the brother is making it up. Yeah,
- 3:45Speaker 4: making it up.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Judgment's a bit foggy.
- 3:46Speaker 4: But they didn't say categorically this is false.
- 3:49Speaker 1: No.
- 3:50Speaker 2: That's what I do, by the way. I just deny it.
- 3:52Speaker 3: No, but also when things aren't true, they generally come
- 3:56Speaker 3: out and say, we can say without a shadow of
- 3:58Speaker 3: a doubt that this did not happen. They're just saying, oh,
- 4:00Speaker 3: judgment could be clarity.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:03Speaker 4: So maybe they just don't want to, I don't know.
- 4:05Speaker 3: It's all very strange, but why would he just make
- 4:09Speaker 3: that up?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Well, that's the other thing. Why would he make it up?
- 4:11Speaker 2: Why would Charles say it?
- 4:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Crazy. You got another story about who?
- 4:16Speaker 4: Benny Blanco.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:17Speaker 3: So Benny Blanco, the husband of Selena Gomez, record producer,
- 4:20Speaker 3: he's done a recent interview and is calling for all
- 4:22Speaker 3: people over the age of 65 to be banned from something.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Take a listen. People 65 and older should not be
- 4:29Speaker 4: allowed to have social media anymore. First of all, Facebook,
- 4:32Speaker 4: they should just like blow off. No one even uses
- 4:35Speaker 4: Facebook unless they're 65 or over.
- 4:37Speaker 2: They should just end it?
- 4:38Speaker 4: Just end.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Facebook over. I like Marketplace. Have you ever been on Marketplace?
- 4:41Speaker 4: Keep Facebook Marketplace. Destroy regular Facebook.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Marketplace.
- 4:45Speaker 5: I mean, look, I've got to say I disagree. I
- 4:47Speaker 5: do very well on my Facebook page and it actually
- 4:49Speaker 5: earns me money.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Yes, so I've seen.
- 4:51Speaker 2: It's the only one that pays. TikTok in America pays.
- 4:56Speaker 4: YouTube pays well.
- 4:57Speaker 2: YouTube as well, yeah. But like Insta doesn't pay.
- 5:00Speaker 4: No, but Instagram pays in other ways, brand deals.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Absolutely right.
- 5:03Speaker 5: But like actual money, like I get a payout from
- 5:05Speaker 5: Facebook if my videos do well.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Yeah, a couple of $ 20. But they are a lot
- 5:09Speaker 4: of them. We're talking.
- 5:10Speaker 2: He's like, I made $ 14 this month.
- 5:11Speaker 4: I've had hundreds. It all helps. It's a pretty big spender.
- 5:19Speaker 2: The fact that it actually pays you just for putting
- 5:21Speaker 2: a photo up.
- 5:22Speaker 4: It's very good.
- 5:23Speaker 5: But it is, you know, and that's why I disagree
- 5:25Speaker 5: because it's all old people. My ones that have done
- 5:27Speaker 5: really well are like Husey and it's just old people
- 5:30Speaker 5: fighting with other old people about his politics.
- 5:33Speaker 3: I've noticed you love putting up a Husey video and
- 5:35Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, he's trying to make some coin.
- 5:39Speaker 4: He must be behind this month.
- 5:41Speaker 2: So don't get rid of it.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Yeah, just for your benefit.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Yeah, no, but have you been on Facebook?
- 5:46Speaker 4: I don't scroll on Facebook.
- 5:48Speaker 3: I just use it for Messenger because we have a
- 5:50Speaker 3: lot of our group chats on Facebook.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Yeah, go the comments.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Marketplace, even then, Marketplace, I cannot stand. A lot of
- 5:56Speaker 4: scammers on there. A lot of bots on there these days.
- 5:58Speaker 2: A bot?
- 5:59Speaker 4: Yeah, Marketplace is not what it used to be. Some
- 6:01Speaker 4: people love Marketplace.
- 6:03Speaker 6: My girlfriend will sit on Marketplace for hours a day.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Doing what?
- 6:07Speaker 2: Just buying stuff off it.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:10Speaker 6: Yeah, and I'm like, but then you have to go
- 6:12Speaker 6: to people's house and pick it up.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Also, the people that sell things on Marketplace for like $ 10,
- 6:17Speaker 3: is that worth meeting a stranger, dealing with the messaging
- 6:20Speaker 3: for $ 10?
- 6:21Speaker 4: No.
- 6:21Speaker 5: I had that apartment that I was living in. I
- 6:24Speaker 5: had all my furniture and then I was going to
- 6:26Speaker 5: move in with my ex. She wanted to get rid
- 6:28Speaker 5: of all that furniture. She sold it all.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Oh, some people make some serious coin from it, but
- 6:33Speaker 3: it's just, to me, not worth it.
- 6:35Speaker 5: No, but even then it was like, oh, they're coming
- 6:37Speaker 5: to take your coffee table. And I was hung over
- 6:40Speaker 5: as balls and I had to meet some random dude
- 6:43Speaker 5: and help like drag the coffee table down.
- 6:45Speaker 3: I never meet them at my house if I've done
- 6:46Speaker 3: it before. The only things I've sold before is like
- 6:49Speaker 3: a designer pair of sunglasses where I'm like the resale
- 6:51Speaker 3: on this is still like $ 300 minimum.
- 6:53Speaker 4: It's worth it.
- 6:54Speaker 2: But where do you meet them? In a car park?
- 6:55Speaker 4: Like a Macca's nearby? Yeah. And I always have a
- 6:58Speaker 4: weapon in the car.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Pepper spray. No, kitchen knife.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Really?
- 7:04Speaker 2: What, you're just going to stab them?
- 7:06Speaker 1: Take the machete.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Why am I doing that?
- 7:09Speaker 2: You're mental.
