Speaker 2: away from Jesus. Every time we walk away from Jesus,

Speaker 2: And right after that, Jesus started ministering to the disciples.

Speaker 2: He started worshiping, praising God. And so we come into

Speaker 2: these conversations we get to hear the intimate words that

Speaker 2: can drop into our spirits as well. John reveals his

Speaker 2: identity as the disciple whom Jesus loves, and we need

Speaker 2: As I said earlier, coming at you from the new

Speaker 2: King James, and it says, I am the vine, and

Speaker 2: my father is a vine dresser. Every branch in me

Speaker 2: that does not bear fruit he takes away. In every

Speaker 2: branch that bears fruit, he prunes that it may bear

Speaker 2: more fruit. Now, this is both awesome and scary, because

Speaker 2: if you don't bear fruit, the Father is going to

Speaker 2: remove you and take you away and belove it. That

Speaker 2: is not good. And even if you bear fruit, you're

Speaker 2: still gonna get pruned. Right, So either way we're gonna

Speaker 2: get cut. Now. Jesus often used illustrations for daily Life

Speaker 2: to reveal spiritual truths. Here he compares himself as a vine,

Speaker 2: the source of life and fruitfulness. Now the Father tends

Speaker 2: to the branches, pruning them so they'll grow stronger and

Speaker 2: bear more fruit. Pruning represents discipline and refining, not punishment.

Speaker 2: But you can say it's preparation. Now, listen, family, pruning

Speaker 2: it'll hurt. It doesn't feel that, like I said, is cut.

Speaker 2: We're getting cut. God is cutting things out of our lives.

Speaker 2: Can you allow God to correct you? Can you allow God?

Speaker 2: We should constantly be going through this process where things

Speaker 2: are being cut out of our lives. God will cut

Speaker 2: away things that aren't fruitful, things that are toxic, like

Speaker 2: toxic relationships will get prune, bad habits will get pruned,

Speaker 2: or even comfort zones will get prune. But he's not

Speaker 2: cutting you off. He's cutting you back so you can

Speaker 2: grow forward. Growth requires it. Growth requires pruning. And be
