- 0:04Speaker 1: but hailing from the city of Sands. Put your hands
- 0:06Speaker 1: together for Jamison Welch. And in this corner, standing at
- 0:10Speaker 1: five foot ten, weighing in at pound and coming to
- 0:14Speaker 1: us from his super secret bunker with no AC in Tucson, Arizona.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Put your hands together for Luis Montemao. Thank you. Welcome
- 0:27Speaker 1: back to the episode of Mix Comedy Podcast. Of course,
- 0:29Speaker 1: on one half of the show, this is Jamison always.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I'm going about Luise, Louise. What's going on? Man?
- 0:35Speaker 2: Oh that much?
- 0:36Speaker 1: You know?
- 0:37Speaker 2: Here rated record a shorty episode one of our off
- 0:40Speaker 2: week you know, smaller, smaller shows here because we got
- 0:43Speaker 2: some news that we wanted to talk about. First up,
- 0:46Speaker 2: if you're listening to the episode when it comes out
- 0:48Speaker 2: this weekend, Saturday, July twenty fifth, we've got the return
- 0:51Speaker 2: of Errol Spence versus Tim Zoo in Australia. So this
- 0:56Speaker 2: is something that's been talked about a lot, pretty hyped up,
- 0:59Speaker 2: hyped up because of Aerol Spencer's returned to the ring.
- 1:03Speaker 2: But you know a lot of people, us included, aren't
- 1:05Speaker 2: too sure about what's going to happen with old Spence
- 1:08Speaker 2: and you know his condition, his absence in the ring,
- 1:12Speaker 2: how he's preparing for training. I don't even know where
- 1:15Speaker 2: to start with this. Let's see you had mentioned you
- 1:19Speaker 2: said the link about he's had he didn't make weight
- 1:21Speaker 2: like he's had in trouble making weight.
- 1:23Speaker 1: There's just a lot of issues, man, like there was.
- 1:25Speaker 1: It wasn't necessarily a link. It was someone on Twitter
- 1:27Speaker 1: that something They asked an insight of what's going on
- 1:30Speaker 1: and whatnot. It just it felt like the same thing
- 1:33Speaker 1: we've been hearing about the last few fights of his
- 1:36Speaker 1: where there was issues with wait, issues with this, issues
- 1:39Speaker 1: with that. Ever since the car accident, there's been issues
- 1:42Speaker 1: with that being said. Man first and foremost, I hope
- 1:47Speaker 1: he's healthy. The last fight he fought, he did not
- 1:50Speaker 1: look healthy. What I mean by health is not just
- 1:53Speaker 1: all he was sick. No. No, when you're fighting, you need
- 1:56Speaker 1: to be able to see what punch is coming. So
- 2:00Speaker 1: with you in the boxing ring, you on the street,
- 2:02Speaker 1: you slap box and you play fight whatever, you need
- 2:05Speaker 1: to be able to see what punch is coming from,
- 2:07Speaker 1: what angle and what direction. It felt like versus Terrence Crawford,
- 2:11Speaker 1: he was reacting two seconds late via the punches and
- 2:15Speaker 1: if that's something that has not been corrected, then he's
- 2:18Speaker 1: not going to be healthy in this fight either. And
- 2:20Speaker 1: this is not going to be well. Now, if there's
- 2:22Speaker 1: issues getting into Australia, there's issues with camp, none of
- 2:25Speaker 1: this is going to end well for him, None of it.
- 2:27Speaker 1: And he's still a slight favorite. Things like minus one
- 2:30Speaker 1: twenty at the books, meaning you gotta put up one
- 2:32Speaker 1: hundred and twenty one hundred back, so it's basically even fight.
- 2:35Speaker 1: With that being said, I hope for his sake he
- 2:38Speaker 1: finds some sort of piece in this because this is
- 2:40Speaker 1: not a championship fight. You know, this is a it matters,
- 2:43Speaker 1: but it don't you know, whoever wins to los this fight,
- 2:45Speaker 1: we're not going to think about any big Grandy also
- 2:47Speaker 1: plans for them. It's more of a hey, welcome back
- 2:50Speaker 1: fight for Spence more than anything. But man, I'm not
- 2:53Speaker 1: liking someone said, I'm hearing thus far.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Yeah. I read that he got to Australia nine days
- 2:59Speaker 2: before the fight, which I don't know, you know, if
- 3:02Speaker 2: that's enough time. Obviously, jetlag is a big deal. That
- 3:05Speaker 2: that part I know about because I've traveled internationally and man,
- 3:08Speaker 2: you feel foggy. You know, you just just all around.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I'm not even gonna say you feel crappy. You just
- 3:14Speaker 2: feel like you're walking through a haze for a couple
- 3:17Speaker 2: of days, like you're in you're in a dream state.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Uh.
- 3:21Speaker 2: And your sleep schedules off. You know, even if you
- 3:24Speaker 2: stay up all night, you wake up with way earlier
- 3:28Speaker 2: than you should, and you do not get enough sleep,
- 3:31Speaker 2: and you just it just completely fucks everything up. Now,
- 3:35Speaker 2: I've I've interviewed a couple of fighters and one particular
- 3:38Speaker 2: guy who fought overseas he said, well, he switches his
- 3:40Speaker 2: training schedule to match what you know, uh, what the
- 3:44Speaker 2: time difference is going to be. So that's understandable, but
- 3:47Speaker 2: I don't know, it's it's really hard for me to
- 3:49Speaker 2: determine when you have to be that focused in camp
- 3:52Speaker 2: and work that hard and also completely change your you know,
- 3:56Speaker 2: life around daylight. Daylight is nighttime for you now all
- 3:59Speaker 2: of a sudden, that can't be easy for any fighter.
- 4:03Speaker 1: No, you're absolutely right. And and also when you think of
- 4:06Speaker 1: it like that, it's one of those things to where
- 4:11Speaker 1: where's the fighter at? Mentally that's always an interesting thing
- 4:14Speaker 1: because you can go through all the emotions. You can
- 4:16Speaker 1: lie to the fans, you lot of your family, a
- 4:18Speaker 1: lot of your friends. It's very hard aligned to yourself.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Now again, I'll be very interest to see what earl
- 4:24Speaker 1: spins we get in the ring. I'm very very curious
- 4:27Speaker 1: because the Crawford fight felt like he had a bad camp.
- 4:32Speaker 1: It looked like a guy didn't have a good camp,
- 4:34Speaker 1: like I didn't have a plan, et cetera, et cetera.
- 4:37Speaker 1: If the reports are already coming out like this a
- 4:39Speaker 1: month before the fight basically, and we're here now and
- 4:45Speaker 1: there hasn't any substance like a significant changes in camp,
- 4:48Speaker 1: I don't know, man, Like I'm not too confident. I'm
- 4:52Speaker 1: at the point where I'm just wishing for good health.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I don't know what's gonna happen in the fight. I'm
- 4:55Speaker 1: not gonna make no predictions. I'm just wishing he gets
- 4:58Speaker 1: out of the fight okay to where he still has
- 5:00Speaker 1: because I'm worried about him overall. At the same time,
- 5:04Speaker 1: he knew what he knew. The job was tough when
- 5:06Speaker 1: he took it. This is what he signed up for.
- 5:08Speaker 1: So here we are.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Yeah, and let's not forget the last time we suspense
- 5:13Speaker 2: in the ring. Was the fight against Bud Crawford which
- 5:15Speaker 2: you mentioned, and that is almost exactly three years ago.
- 5:17Speaker 2: That was July twenty ninth of twenty twenty three. So
- 5:21Speaker 2: he has not been in the ring since. And there's these,
- 5:25Speaker 2: you know, these quotes here and there, and I can't
- 5:27Speaker 2: think of as like somebody on the inset or whatever,
- 5:29Speaker 2: like just some Twitter rando saying he hasn't been actually
- 5:31Speaker 2: consistently training in that time. That's another thing, if that's true.
- 5:35Speaker 2: I mean I've always said, and I've said on the show,
- 5:38Speaker 2: he can't be the same. It doesn't matter if you're
- 5:39Speaker 2: going hard in the gym every single day, if you're
- 5:42Speaker 2: still not getting in that ring for a couple of years,
- 5:46Speaker 2: it's it can't be the same. You're mentally, I don't
- 5:49Speaker 2: feel like, you know, you're gonna be as well prepared,
- 5:52Speaker 2: like time away from the ring. That environment, that the crowd,
- 5:54Speaker 2: the noise, all of that. You can't forget that. But yeah, yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 2: do you have any insight as to why Spence is
- 6:03Speaker 2: even slightly favored in this is because he's been a.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Name, the name, that's all it is. Here's the thing
- 6:09Speaker 1: when you're setting on line, part of it is to
- 6:12Speaker 1: many mitigate losses. Right, So Spence was a big underdog,
- 6:16Speaker 1: is a big name that the avid person's going to
- 6:18Speaker 1: bet home because they heard the name. Sportsbooks don't want
- 6:20Speaker 1: to get hurt, So you make him a small favorite.
- 6:23Speaker 1: If he wins, he's a favorite. If he loses, it
- 6:25Speaker 1: is what is You're not losing too much. That's basically
- 6:28Speaker 1: why the line is what it is. But honestly, he
- 6:31Speaker 1: probably shouldn't be favorite any fights until we see him fight,
- 6:34Speaker 1: like actually fight, because we haven't seen him in a while.
- 6:36Speaker 1: We just haven't seen him, so we'll see what takes place.
- 6:39Speaker 1: But honestly, it's kind of sad.
- 6:42Speaker 2: It's got to this point, to be honest with you,
- 6:44Speaker 2: it's kind of it feels tacky for for me personally
- 6:47Speaker 2: to like make a prediction or to think that, you know,
- 6:49Speaker 2: like kind of like you said, it's you want him
- 6:51Speaker 2: coming out of the ring healthy, and to say it's like, oh, well,
- 6:53Speaker 2: you know, do you ought say this the out say
- 6:55Speaker 2: that I think Tenzu might win because of blah blah blah.
- 6:57Speaker 2: If we are there's a reason to be worried about Spence.
- 7:01Speaker 2: You can't we can't treat this as like any other fight.
- 7:03Speaker 2: You know what I mean, I don't know. I don't know.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I he did say that he was thinking he might
- 7:09Speaker 2: be done after this, Earl Spence did, so let's hope.
- 7:12Speaker 2: So if that, if you know, if he looks too bad,
- 7:14Speaker 2: but if he here, here's one for you. So if
- 7:17Speaker 2: he wins, he's obvious and he looks good in the ring,
- 7:19Speaker 2: he's he's gonna get hyped up and he's gonna want
- 7:21Speaker 2: other fights. That happens to everybody, of course, of course.
- 7:24Speaker 2: But what if he loses, like and isn't terrible. What
- 7:26Speaker 2: if he's like, loses by by split decision or something
- 7:29Speaker 2: like that. Do you think that's something that will get him,
- 7:32Speaker 2: you know, coming back in the ring again, or if
- 7:34Speaker 2: he's like, you know, take his why would he.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Be fighting still it? What would be the purpose if
- 7:40Speaker 1: he loses the close fight? Right, He's now he's fighting
- 7:43Speaker 1: just the fight. There's no there's no belt on the line,
- 7:45Speaker 1: there's no big fight coming, there's nothing else coming. So
- 7:48Speaker 1: he basically fighting is to fight now. He wants to
- 7:51Speaker 1: fight for our pleasure? Cool, but I don't for the
- 7:54Speaker 1: money he's made. Like the reason why he had a
- 7:56Speaker 1: fought three years is that Crawford fight. Remember he was
- 8:00Speaker 1: a side that out of that fight, he got the
- 8:02Speaker 1: majority of that. So it's the reason why he hasn't
- 8:03Speaker 1: fought in three years. It's a really big reason why
- 8:09Speaker 1: unless he went through the money already, I would be
- 8:11Speaker 1: shocked to see him after this fight. I'd be If
- 8:14Speaker 1: he loses, he loses, we don't because here's the thing too,
- 8:17Speaker 1: your last two fights of losses, there's obviously issues. Why
- 8:21Speaker 1: do you want to keep going through this? That's that
- 8:25Speaker 1: be the thing. Now. If he wins, you know, all
- 8:27Speaker 1: bets are kind of off, you know, because when you win,
- 8:30Speaker 1: you're always one fight away from a championship fight. That's
- 8:32Speaker 1: just kind of how it randomly goes God's plot of fights.
- 8:35Speaker 1: You know, things happen like crazy things happen in boxing.
- 8:37Speaker 1: But honestly, if he looks good and it's fifty to
- 8:42Speaker 1: fifty fight, we'll see. But if he looks bad he loses,
- 8:45Speaker 1: we don't. Well, first of all, we don't need to
- 8:47Speaker 1: see him again that happens, but also I doubt we'll
- 8:49Speaker 1: see anymore of him after that if it comes down
- 8:51Speaker 1: to that.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Sure, I think the thing about it, and that's something
- 8:54Speaker 2: that I've said as well. You know, that he is,
- 8:58Speaker 2: like he said, he's still a name and having recognizable
- 9:02Speaker 2: fighters people that we know, we're kind of a a
- 9:06Speaker 2: at a need here for names and stars in big fights.
- 9:09Speaker 2: So whether it's just a fight or not seeing Earl
- 9:13Speaker 2: Spence coming back, and people that have been fans have
- 9:14Speaker 2: seen him fight, they're like, oh, hell yeah, I know
- 9:16Speaker 2: the name as opposed to you know, I some some
- 9:18Speaker 2: young guy that a lot of might be getting to mipe,
- 9:21Speaker 2: but not a lot of people know. Uh, you know,
- 9:24Speaker 2: the name is going to pull people in. So yeah,
- 9:27Speaker 2: so I understand, and you know this, this has been
- 9:29Speaker 2: a great summer for recognizable names fighting again. You know,
- 9:32Speaker 2: even if the people the people that I don't care
- 9:34Speaker 2: about seeing fight anymore, like and then his Yashua, Like,
- 9:36Speaker 2: at least I know who the guy is, right, people
- 9:38Speaker 2: still still he's still ast fans, and that's a big
- 9:42Speaker 2: part of it. So yeah, I mean I kind of
- 9:45Speaker 2: wish that if he's not doing well, if he doesn't
- 9:47Speaker 2: fight well, that you know, I feel like he could
- 9:50Speaker 2: still come back later next year or whatever. And people,
- 9:53Speaker 2: oh yeah, Erl Spence, Yeah, let's let's watch him fight,
- 9:55Speaker 2: et cetera. But maybe that's not for the best, you know,
- 9:59Speaker 2: I don't.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I think so. I don't think so, friend, I really don't.
- 10:02Speaker 1: From what we've seen, what we heard, nothing's been good
- 10:06Speaker 1: since the accident. But also the fighting has not been
- 10:09Speaker 1: the same the person. The skill set in the box
- 10:14Speaker 1: we saw pre accident is different than post accident. And
- 10:18Speaker 1: when you're not fighting at one hundred percent, I have
- 10:21Speaker 1: some concerns.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Yeah, and for people that don't know, he got into
- 10:24Speaker 2: a really bad accent in twenty nineteen before the Crawford fight,
- 10:27Speaker 2: and he straight up has set himself like I should
- 10:29Speaker 2: have died in a car rolled over. You know, I
- 10:32Speaker 2: don't remember the exact details of it. I just know
- 10:34Speaker 2: that it was really bad and that he himself said that.
- 10:36Speaker 2: So yeah, that's another. Even if I've never been in
- 10:41Speaker 2: a bad car accident, thank god, you know, where's the
- 10:43Speaker 2: knock on some wood? But I've gotten I've gotten smoothed
- 10:45Speaker 2: in between cars. I was totally fine. But even that,
- 10:48Speaker 2: I was like sore for a couple of days, like
- 10:50Speaker 2: you know, like like I got my ass kicked and
- 10:52Speaker 2: it was like I said, nothing permanent injury. Didn't even
- 10:55Speaker 2: have to go to the doctor. When something like that happens,
- 10:57Speaker 2: that seriously, there's there's allay, some lingering something or other.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I think it was a second accident too.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Oh, I don't know that.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I believe there was or second situation where he's been
- 11:10Speaker 1: hurt bodily wise, if I'm not mistaken. So oh yeah,
- 11:15Speaker 1: I think. Let me just double check here, but I'm
- 11:18Speaker 1: almost positive. Earl Spence h hold on.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Yeah, when you know, I was gonna say while you're
- 11:25Speaker 2: looking that up that uh, not to say that if
- 11:27Speaker 2: somebody can't recover physically and you know, hey, maybe he's
- 11:30Speaker 2: in great shape and maybe he can you know, jog
- 11:33Speaker 2: and weightlift, et cetera, But that doesn't mean you could box.
- 11:35Speaker 2: I'm sorry. Like boxing is the toughest sport in the world.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Is it's you know, you can do Erl Spends can
- 11:42Speaker 2: probably be played baseball and if he awesome had it
- 11:44Speaker 2: even after his accidents and with PT. But boxing, you
- 11:48Speaker 2: don't play boxing. That's not something that you want to
- 11:50Speaker 2: get into.
- 11:51Speaker 1: No, definitely don't.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Definitely if you're less than a thousand percent to like
- 11:56Speaker 2: in shape and in you know, in good health, et cetera,
- 12:00Speaker 2: in a prime physical specimen, you don't want to do
- 12:04Speaker 2: this work. You don't want to get well.
- 12:06Speaker 1: He was involved in three car accidents in a three
- 12:10Speaker 1: year span. The one in nineteen was the big one, right,
- 12:14Speaker 1: that's when he was in a Ferrari and that you know,
- 12:17Speaker 1: the car, that's the one he should have passed in.
- 12:20Speaker 1: The one in twenty twenty he was involved in another
- 12:22Speaker 1: car accident. He was in the gag and one another
- 12:26Speaker 1: car crashed in from behind, et cetera, et cetera. And
- 12:29Speaker 1: then in twenty two he was involved in another one
- 12:34Speaker 1: somebody ran a red light into his vehicle. So yeah,
- 12:37Speaker 1: it's a lot going on for a three year time span.
- 12:41Speaker 2: That just see, I didn't know that I had heard
- 12:43Speaker 2: about the one in twenty nineteen, the big one. But
- 12:45Speaker 2: even all that together, with all of this, it makes
- 12:47Speaker 2: me more worried to be quite honest with you about
- 12:49Speaker 2: what he's going to look like. And there was also
- 12:52Speaker 2: a clip going around of him. You know, he's not
- 12:54Speaker 2: a very eloquent guy. He's you know, kind of mumblely
- 12:57Speaker 2: and just kind of struggles for words, which so do
- 12:59Speaker 2: I don't. I'm not talking to shit or anything.
- 13:01Speaker 1: No no, no, no, no no no no no no no nope.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Don't don't go there, don't go there you're stumbling and
- 13:07Speaker 1: mumbling forward is way different than what you're describing. That
- 13:11Speaker 1: is not the same.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Well, and that's what I kind of kind of want
- 13:14Speaker 2: to get to. I mean, it could be people say, oh, well,
- 13:16Speaker 2: that's just how he communicates, et cetera. But there are
- 13:19Speaker 2: concerns that mentally he's having trouble finding the words and
- 13:22Speaker 2: answering questions. And I don't know, I just want to
- 13:24Speaker 2: get your take. Do you think that there's something we
- 13:26Speaker 2: don't want to speculate. Of course, we're just but based
- 13:29Speaker 2: on what you've seen. We're not doctors, by the way.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Let's keep that in mind, you know. But yeah, I mean,
- 13:33Speaker 2: do you think that there might be concerns about the
- 13:35Speaker 2: way he's communicating.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Definitely concerns, because again, when your eyes are not able
- 13:42Speaker 1: to catch punches or catch motion in real time, there's issues.
- 13:48Speaker 1: And that's the case. There's other things that's wrong with
- 13:50Speaker 1: through as well. The accident he got into he was
- 13:54Speaker 1: not supposed to survive. When you get those kind of accidents,
- 13:57Speaker 1: it's going to have lasting effects. So none of this
- 14:01Speaker 1: is surprising at all. And watching that fight again that
- 14:05Speaker 1: happened three years ago, it was sad. It wasn't. I mean,
- 14:08Speaker 1: first of all, all respect Terrence Crawford, I don't want
- 14:11Speaker 1: to take anythingway from him. He took care of business.
- 14:13Speaker 1: He was amazing that night, and his career went off
- 14:16Speaker 1: to a whole different level after that fight. So I
- 14:17Speaker 1: don't want to take nothing away from him because he
- 14:19Speaker 1: did what he was supposed to do. Of course, Earl
- 14:22Speaker 1: Spence did not need to be in that ring that night.
- 14:25Speaker 1: He did not. I don't know how he passed the
- 14:27Speaker 1: physical I don't know how he passed any of the stuff.
- 14:29Speaker 1: He did not look physically fit to be in that ring.
- 14:32Speaker 1: He did not. He did not like a viable fighter
- 14:36Speaker 1: that night that could defend himself and put up a
- 14:39Speaker 1: decent fight. He did not look like he was suitable
- 14:42Speaker 1: for that. That was three years ago. What the hell
- 14:44Speaker 1: are we doing now? If that was three years ago,
- 14:47Speaker 1: things don't get better like those kinds of things don't. Unfortunately,
- 14:50Speaker 1: once you have those kind of injuries, those kind of things,
- 14:53Speaker 1: that is what it is now. I'm very concerned for
- 14:56Speaker 1: his health. I get not a doctor, just as a
- 14:59Speaker 1: concerns warts fan, sern boxing fan. I know something may right.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I know when a box don't look right. I know, hey,
- 15:07Speaker 1: wait a minute, why are they taking Why why is this?
- 15:10Speaker 1: Why is that it's got some concerns? Man? Something may right,
- 15:13Speaker 1: that's all something may write.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Sure, I'm glad you mentioned you know that he passed
- 15:17Speaker 2: the physical, and of course there's always physicals before you know,
- 15:19Speaker 2: a match being sanctioned. But I think that goes to
- 15:22Speaker 2: show if if everything that we're saying is you know,
- 15:25Speaker 2: truly concerning, and that there is reason to be worried
- 15:27Speaker 2: about Earl Spens, I think that says more about the
- 15:28Speaker 2: physical than it does about you know, your your concerns,
- 15:32Speaker 2: your statements right now, so I know too.
- 15:35Speaker 1: You gotta remember, fight gotta go on. When it's a
- 15:38Speaker 1: nine figure situation, fight don't go whether we lock it
- 15:41Speaker 1: or not. I mean, somebody gotta be damnit or blind
- 15:44Speaker 1: for the fight not to I mean, the fight don't go. Man,
- 15:46Speaker 1: it sucks. I hate to say it that way, but
- 15:49Speaker 1: the fight's gonna go on unless something crazy happened. Even then,
- 15:53Speaker 1: it's got what I mean, it would have to be
- 15:55Speaker 1: something light, life threatening for the fight not.
- 15:59Speaker 2: To happen, right, And that's that is to that's We've
- 16:02Speaker 2: got to be realistic here. You know about the sport
- 16:05Speaker 2: being a business and bossing has always been very corrupt
- 16:07Speaker 2: over the years, and you know that making specific accusations
- 16:11Speaker 2: of things going on today, it's just it would have
- 16:13Speaker 2: surprised me if you know, uh, people a little loosey
- 16:15Speaker 2: goosey with those physicals to make sure that the fight
- 16:18Speaker 2: happens and if you will get paid. So but yeah,
- 16:21Speaker 2: like I said, this Saturday, the twenty fifth in Australia,
- 16:24Speaker 2: and uh, I'll be watching and you know, just hoping
- 16:27Speaker 2: that we get a good fight, but also that Earl
- 16:29Speaker 2: Spences isn't good health and if there are concerns that
- 16:33Speaker 2: the ref and in the corner jump in if need be.
- 16:35Speaker 2: So yeah, it's kind of crazy to me that we're
- 16:38Speaker 2: getting to the point where this is what we're saying
- 16:40Speaker 2: about this fight. We're not saying like, oh, maybe he'll
- 16:42Speaker 2: his defense will be SHITTI er, maybe he'll be slow,
- 16:43Speaker 2: but like no, we're talking about whether he's going to
- 16:45Speaker 2: be okay. Yeah, yeah, and I hear also all enough
- 16:50Speaker 2: of this. I hope we're totally wrong. I hope you
- 16:52Speaker 2: and I are totally Yeah.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I hope you got the mask. I hope he one's
- 16:56Speaker 1: one twin and went away Hobe when the mask for
- 16:58Speaker 1: performances back in the mix. Nothing with warmart art more.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I'm an Earl Spins fan. What happened three years ago
- 17:05Speaker 1: was kind of wild, but hey, that's the game. I
- 17:08Speaker 1: would love for nothing but more Walmart heart with him,
- 17:10Speaker 1: the picture shut out on Saturday or Friday or whatever, Saturday,
- 17:14Speaker 1: him go nuts him do what he supposed to do,
- 17:17Speaker 1: looked really good and be backing it. I would love
- 17:19Speaker 1: for that. I just don't I relying to you if
- 17:21Speaker 1: I thought that was gonna happen.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Same. Yeah, we're not the kind of show that's going
- 17:25Speaker 2: to sit here and just ignore all of these things
- 17:26Speaker 2: and not bring them up. So let's move on to
- 17:30Speaker 2: another bit of news that came up. So last episode,
- 17:33Speaker 2: I just based on the time that we recorded. When
- 17:36Speaker 2: this air did, I had said, oh, well, they're talking
- 17:38Speaker 2: about a chakor Stephenson fight with Zufa maybe Ryan Garcia,
- 17:41Speaker 2: and I said Ryan Garcia and Connor Ben wasn't announced,
- 17:44Speaker 2: blah blah. And of course it got announced the day
- 17:47Speaker 2: that the show came out, so we're already locked in.
- 17:49Speaker 2: But yeah, I was kind of wondering what was going
- 17:51Speaker 2: to happen because for those of you that haven't were
- 17:55Speaker 2: caught up. Ryan Garcia straight up announced that he's fighting Connor.
- 17:58Speaker 2: He said he was fighting Connor Ben He said it
- 18:00Speaker 2: like that. Oscar Dello, oh yeah, said you're not announcing
- 18:05Speaker 2: shit because everything has to go through me, back and
- 18:08Speaker 2: forth between Oscar and Dana White on you know, making
- 18:11Speaker 2: this fight happen, et cetera, et cetera. So last week
- 18:13Speaker 2: it finally was locked in for August and sorry, I'm
- 18:18Speaker 2: sorry for September and yeah, so this goes. Two things
- 18:23Speaker 2: come out of this for me. Number one is that,
- 18:25Speaker 2: as I said last episode or the episode before, more
- 18:29Speaker 2: and more we have to take Dana White seriously in
- 18:31Speaker 2: the world to boxing. As much as I dislike him,
- 18:33Speaker 2: as much as I dislike, you know, his what he's
- 18:36Speaker 2: done with UFC and dislike is the way he sort
- 18:38Speaker 2: of came into boxing and muscled his way into everything.
- 18:42Speaker 2: This is a win for him because he's got Connor
- 18:46Speaker 2: Bandy signed them, a big name and he managed to
- 18:49Speaker 2: get a deal done with us with Oscar DeLay's promotion company,
- 18:52Speaker 2: when Oscar absolutely does not like that man and talks
- 18:56Speaker 2: shit any opportunity he has. So this is legit. It's happening,
- 19:01Speaker 2: and we'll start here. Do we like the idea of
- 19:04Speaker 2: this fight, Jamison?
- 19:06Speaker 1: It is what it is. I mean, here's the thing
- 19:07Speaker 1: keeps the ball moving. So I'm not necessarily thrilled about it,
- 19:10Speaker 1: but it keeps the momentum going. We talked about it
- 19:13Speaker 1: all time, Like Mexican Independence weekend is a big weekend,
- 19:17Speaker 1: so you know, well, whomever fighting that weekend is important,
- 19:20Speaker 1: so keeping that momentum going is good. Ryan is a draw,
- 19:24Speaker 1: so that will help obviously. But it's not the fight
- 19:26Speaker 1: I really wanted to see. But if it's a tune
- 19:28Speaker 1: up fight for the one going forward, I'm with it.
- 19:31Speaker 1: I can live with it.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm okay with it. I'm I'll even say I'm
- 19:36Speaker 2: excited about it.
- 19:36Speaker 1: You know.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I think Connor Ben's a good fighter and a good
- 19:39Speaker 2: fool for Ryan, especially after that performance we saw against
- 19:43Speaker 2: Mario Barrios. And yes, I did expect Ryan to lose
- 19:46Speaker 2: that fight. Brian was definitely, in my mind, kind of
- 19:51Speaker 2: on his way out or just just lost some of
- 19:52Speaker 2: that allure, some of that talent and shine that he had.
- 19:55Speaker 2: I stand by that. I definitely changed my mind after
- 19:59Speaker 2: seeing him against Bondio Barrios and I think that again,
- 20:02Speaker 2: he's he's a name and he's a draw, and that's
- 20:04Speaker 2: good for the sport. But yes, the actual fight is,
- 20:08Speaker 2: or the actual date is September twelfth, Now that is
- 20:12Speaker 2: the Mexican Independence Day fight that usually goes to Cano.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Canelo was scheduled to fight in September against and Billy,
- 20:20Speaker 2: but that got moved to October. We've mentioned that. There's
- 20:23Speaker 2: no stated reason. I was wondering what happened there, but
- 20:27Speaker 2: now I'm kind of a hate to be that guy.
- 20:28Speaker 2: But you know, Canelo's contracts with the Saudis. Suva Boxing
- 20:33Speaker 2: is backed by the Saudis as well. Did we get
- 20:35Speaker 2: a little shuffling over behind the Saudi's behind the scenes
- 20:38Speaker 2: to get you know, Ryan and also and Zufa as
- 20:41Speaker 2: well in the spotlight for September Independence Day weekend? What
- 20:44Speaker 2: are your thoughts on that?
- 20:45Speaker 1: So here's the thing, at the end of the day,
- 20:48Speaker 1: whether we like her or not, Zufa gonna be involved
- 20:50Speaker 1: in a lot of these fights. That's how he wants.
- 20:52Speaker 1: License is gonna be, what's gonna be. Whatever it takes
- 20:56Speaker 1: to get these fights done, It's gonna get done. And
- 20:58Speaker 1: that's the more I'm learning and the more I'm seeing
- 21:01Speaker 1: these guys want to also fight each other. So if
- 21:03Speaker 1: one's on Zoofa, one's on Golden Boy, or somebody's Blue
- 21:07Speaker 1: de Bella or whomever, it's gonna be what's gonna be.
- 21:09Speaker 1: That's just how. That's just this era, how it's gonna work.
- 21:12Speaker 1: That's all. There's nothing more we can do about it,
- 21:14Speaker 1: no more we can say about it. It's just gonna
- 21:16Speaker 1: be what it's gonna be. And we gotta we gotta
- 21:18Speaker 1: expect that the Cold War days are kind of over
- 21:23Speaker 1: because one, there's not a lot of boxers that have
- 21:25Speaker 1: a leverage to kind of make a stance like that.
- 21:28Speaker 1: There's no box saying, oh, I'm doing it my way.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Else there's no one that's good or that that powerful
- 21:33Speaker 1: these days to make a stand like that. So right
- 21:36Speaker 1: now we're kind of coverrcy of other promoters, and it
- 21:38Speaker 1: is what it is. My whole thing is as long
- 21:40Speaker 1: as there's no as long as nothing stops momentum that
- 21:43Speaker 1: we currently have, I think everything's okay for right now.
- 21:46Speaker 1: As long as it's a fight by fight basis and
- 21:48Speaker 1: all the contracts are good, we get quality fights, I
- 21:51Speaker 1: think we're fine. If anything switches from that, then I
- 21:54Speaker 1: think that's when we have issues.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think what the guy today that does
- 22:00Speaker 2: would have that pull that leverages Canelo. But at the
- 22:04Speaker 2: end of the I mean, he cares about the money man,
- 22:06Speaker 2: so as long as he's getting paid, I can't I
- 22:09Speaker 2: can't really say it. Let okay, let's say that the
- 22:12Speaker 2: Saudi's told him, you know, we're gonna push your fight
- 22:14Speaker 2: and we're gonna give September in Mexican and pendency to
- 22:17Speaker 2: somebody else, but you're still gonna get fat stacks of cash.
- 22:19Speaker 2: I don't think he'd really make a big deal.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Honestly, the more rest he can get, the better. You know,
- 22:23Speaker 1: you do not care about that.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Yeah, And coming off an injury after the Crawford fight,
- 22:27Speaker 2: you know, it's just kind of interesting to me. I'm
- 22:30Speaker 2: not gonna go head straight up say I believe that
- 22:32Speaker 2: that's what happened. It just wouldn't surprise me, especially because
- 22:35Speaker 2: so much has been made about again getting Dana White
- 22:39Speaker 2: into boxing, into the spot like making him a big
- 22:42Speaker 2: deal of it again. He's he's friends with the goddamn
- 22:45Speaker 2: president and all of that stuff is involved in his
- 22:49Speaker 2: honestly pushing his way into boxing is the way that
- 22:51Speaker 2: I see it absolutely so that I said, but that
- 22:54Speaker 2: I will absolutely say. And he's got back in by
- 22:57Speaker 2: the Saudi's who have a shit ton of money and
- 22:58Speaker 2: a shit ton of influence right now, and Canelos on
- 23:01Speaker 2: contract with them for Rianzeas and for two more fights fights. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:05Speaker 2: so why would they because like I said, people Mexicans
- 23:08Speaker 2: are going to tune in for the September twelve fight
- 23:12Speaker 2: for Mexican boxing fans, of which there are a lot,
- 23:15Speaker 2: And you know, there's also this back and forth of
- 23:18Speaker 2: you know, is Ryan Garcia a real Mexican et cetera,
- 23:20Speaker 2: et cetera. I don't fuck with any of that. I
- 23:22Speaker 2: don't never like that conversation we had it with that.
- 23:24Speaker 2: It is, it doesn't matter. He reps Mexico and as
- 23:27Speaker 2: long as he supports the culture, we're good.
- 23:29Speaker 1: We're good.
- 23:31Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean, it's kind of very interesting to see,
- 23:33Speaker 2: you know, he's never been a fighter that really has
- 23:36Speaker 2: had those weekends unlock or anything like that. Also goes
- 23:38Speaker 2: to show that it's quite possible that if Canelos on
- 23:41Speaker 2: his way out he skips in Good to Mayo, he's
- 23:43Speaker 2: skipping September twelfth, So what the hell's going on with him?
- 23:46Speaker 2: You know? Is he is he just caring less and
- 23:48Speaker 2: just kind of looking at the at the endgame at
- 23:50Speaker 2: the door. I mean, what do you think.
- 23:51Speaker 1: I think it's over it. I think it's the point
- 23:53Speaker 1: where he's fallt all the big fights he can fight.
- 23:55Speaker 1: There's really no other fights from out there, you know.
- 23:57Speaker 1: I think that's kind of what it is. There's no
- 24:00Speaker 1: fight for him out there. There's no big fight. Also,
- 24:03Speaker 1: he's been to a lot, been to a lot of fights,
- 24:06Speaker 1: a lot of fights. You look back at it him
- 24:08Speaker 1: fighting Triple G when he did, and those three fights,
- 24:12Speaker 1: even though he was relatively successful in all three of them,
- 24:16Speaker 1: those kind of trilogies wear you down, no matter how
- 24:20Speaker 1: you slice it, no matter it wasn't none of them
- 24:22Speaker 1: blowouts or all close fights. You could argue two of
- 24:24Speaker 1: them could have went a certain way. Those fights, and
- 24:29Speaker 1: that was wild. That was seven eight years ago. Like that,
- 24:32Speaker 1: that was a while ago. Those those are the ones
- 24:35Speaker 1: that's like, hey, when you look back on those take
- 24:38Speaker 1: their toll, and then you look back at maybe four
- 24:43Speaker 1: years ago, takes a loss on single to mile weekend,
- 24:47Speaker 1: and he just looked back at things he's not as sharp,
- 24:49Speaker 1: not as sharp. This guy's box a long time, man.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I mean, hell, he fought Floyd damn near what fifteen
- 24:55Speaker 1: years ago, So it's just one of those things where
- 25:00Speaker 1: there's no need for him to rush or do anything
- 25:02Speaker 1: he don't want to do. There's just no need, like
- 25:04Speaker 1: he's on his time and it is evely.
- 25:06Speaker 2: So, yeah, agreed, I just looked it up really quick. Floyd.
- 25:10Speaker 2: The Floyd fighter was twenty thirteen and the first Triple
- 25:14Speaker 2: G fight was twenty seventeen, so we're coming up on
- 25:16Speaker 2: ten years since that fight, which is wild to me,
- 25:19Speaker 2: it's insane. But yeah, you know, those first two fights
- 25:23Speaker 2: definitely can All looked in his prime, looked amazing. Yeah,
- 25:25Speaker 2: I'm not going to get into the who should have
- 25:27Speaker 2: won blah blah blah. The first one was the draw,
- 25:29Speaker 2: the second one is the Canelo win. People can argue
- 25:31Speaker 2: that that's that should have been the other way whatever.
- 25:33Speaker 2: At the end of the day, I'm looking talking about
- 25:35Speaker 2: the performances, which are amazing. The third one, though, Triple
- 25:37Speaker 2: G was way more washed than I expected for the
- 25:39Speaker 2: third one.
- 25:41Speaker 1: He started really late in the game, like Triple G
- 25:44Speaker 1: was he got for how good he was. It sucks
- 25:48Speaker 1: and he got started so late. He had hell of
- 25:50Speaker 1: a career too, It's just so he also remember he
- 25:54Speaker 1: went to the trilogy too, so it was what it was.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that one was twenty twenty two, and that one
- 25:59Speaker 2: was the fight right after the Bevall fight. So, uh
- 26:02Speaker 2: when I went into that fight, actually kind of nervous
- 26:04Speaker 2: for Canelo because we saw him, you know, uh a,
- 26:06Speaker 2: his worse since the since you know, he became a
- 26:11Speaker 2: better fighter after the Floyd day. That probably Floyd was
- 26:12Speaker 2: his worse, but since then caneloversabball was was Canelo at
- 26:17Speaker 2: his worse, And I was nervous. But once I saw
- 26:20Speaker 2: Triple G, you know how he was moving and you
- 26:21Speaker 2: know how much slower, I was like, oh, yeah, this
- 26:23Speaker 2: is I wasn't even that exciting, honestly, because I really
- 26:26Speaker 2: expected Trible G to put up more of a challenge.
- 26:29Speaker 2: But but those first two fights are so awesome and
- 26:32Speaker 2: iconic and action packed that you can't go home again.
- 26:34Speaker 2: You know, I gotta you gotta, you gotta leave him
- 26:37Speaker 2: in the past, understandably, so, but yeah, yeah, I think
- 26:42Speaker 2: I think Canelo might be a little checked out. I
- 26:43Speaker 2: might have a little senioritis. Honestly, uh, and that's okay
- 26:48Speaker 2: with me. Like you said, you know, he's fought a lot,
- 26:50Speaker 2: He's fought everybody. He's got nothing more to prove. I wonder,
- 26:53Speaker 2: I'm really curious. I think if he wasn't on contract
- 26:55Speaker 2: with four fights for the Saudi, would have hung it
- 26:57Speaker 2: up after the Crawford fight. I do leave he would
- 27:00Speaker 2: have taken a rematch if Bud did not retire. Believe that,
- 27:04Speaker 2: but since along the way, whether he should have or not,
- 27:08Speaker 2: whether we should have.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Not the situation. Bud said recently that there was not
- 27:12Speaker 1: a rematch clause in that fight. That's interesting because how
- 27:18Speaker 1: much money was at stake, you would have felt that
- 27:20Speaker 1: there would have been a doubt rematch clause on both ends,
- 27:23Speaker 1: especially on Canelo's end, where if he lose it, he
- 27:26Speaker 1: can actually rematch it in sixty days. Maybe he didn't
- 27:29Speaker 1: want to, Maybe he's tire, maybe's or I don't know,
- 27:32Speaker 1: but the fact that they didn't want to he didn't
- 27:34Speaker 1: want to run it back says a lot. But you know,
- 27:37Speaker 1: that's how it goes sometimes.
- 27:39Speaker 2: I think if he really expected, if Canelos are expected
- 27:41Speaker 2: to win really easily, I mean, why the hell would
- 27:44Speaker 2: he bother with the rematch. But after the loss, I
- 27:47Speaker 2: mean maybe maybe he realized I deserve another chance and
- 27:51Speaker 2: just bud retired and that's what it was.
- 27:53Speaker 1: That. But also here's the thing too, there's not a
- 27:57Speaker 1: whole lot of fights that can get big money anymore
- 28:01Speaker 1: like the next Oh, you know what, Canal is guaranteed
- 28:04Speaker 1: a certain amount, so that might be different for him,
- 28:07Speaker 1: but just in general, there's not a lot of fights
- 28:10Speaker 1: I can guarantee close to nine figures. And that's something
- 28:14Speaker 1: that I rematched with Terrence Crawford would have got. Even
- 28:16Speaker 1: though the fight may not have been good, the intrigue
- 28:19Speaker 1: going into rematch would have garnered that kind of price tag,
- 28:23Speaker 1: So I could have seen, even though the money would
- 28:26Speaker 1: have had to be different the second time around, if
- 28:28Speaker 1: both guys are getting close to nine figures each, then
- 28:33Speaker 1: you figure it out. But I guess there was not
- 28:35Speaker 1: a rematch clause for the for Canelo, and that's that.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Yeah. And hey, even if I didn't expect Canllo to
- 28:44Speaker 2: win a rematch, I would have gone and excited as
- 28:45Speaker 2: hell to see what happened, you know.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Because there's a thing with Terrence Crawford, as grave a
- 28:50Speaker 1: fighter as he is, he's relative he's he's a relative
- 28:56Speaker 1: unknown in a sense, and what I mean by that
- 28:58Speaker 1: is obviously been fighting for a long time. But with big, big,
- 29:01Speaker 1: mega fights, he's had two. He's got two. Like thinking
- 29:05Speaker 1: about all the big fights Canals had over the years,
- 29:07Speaker 1: think about all the fights Floyd and Pakiov had over
- 29:09Speaker 1: the years. When it comes to a big, big, like
- 29:12Speaker 1: Hey City shut down fights, Terrence Crawfords a relative unknown
- 29:16Speaker 1: when it comes to that. So it kind of sucks
- 29:19Speaker 1: that we didn't see him being able to defend YO
- 29:23Speaker 1: that title or that that w again. It kind of sucks.
- 29:26Speaker 1: But saying tong again, it's like nothing away from his crew,
- 29:29Speaker 1: it's like nothing way and I'm not trying to do that.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I'm not that kind of time. It's that when you
- 29:33Speaker 1: when you have experience in big fights and you're you're
- 29:35Speaker 1: coming back and defending what you just did, it's a
- 29:40Speaker 1: little bit different than this fight another fight. It's a
- 29:42Speaker 1: little different. It's hard to it's hard to kind of
- 29:44Speaker 1: quantify that. But when you're the baddest man on the
- 29:47Speaker 1: planet and you're running it back, it's something different about
- 29:50Speaker 1: that than being the person that's hunting that's hunting. But
- 29:54Speaker 1: again with all that being said, we didn't get three
- 29:58Speaker 1: match Ken Scarver for Tire. It feels like Canals right
- 30:02Speaker 1: behind him and we have a whole new era right
- 30:04Speaker 1: ahead of us, so we're gonna see.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, and yeah, I'm glad you said. You know,
- 30:09Speaker 2: neither of us are here to take anything away from Bud.
- 30:11Speaker 2: The way I've always described him is a guy who
- 30:13Speaker 2: has never gotten the amount of fame that he deserved
- 30:16Speaker 2: based on his talent. So uh, he's He's the the
- 30:19Speaker 2: the Clive Owen of boxing, and that means anything to anybody.
- 30:22Speaker 2: But yeah, that's all that we want to talk about today.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Even ran a little longer than I expected, just because
- 30:26Speaker 2: I just love talking about all this stuff. But yeah,
- 30:29Speaker 2: no matter what happens with the September date, the Mexican
- 30:32Speaker 2: Deependence State date, and Canelo moving forward in October, I'm
- 30:36Speaker 2: happy to have another match slot slotted in for this
- 30:39Speaker 2: year because it's been a great year for boxing matches
- 30:41Speaker 2: and seeing games coming back. So we'll we get the
- 30:45Speaker 2: Company podcast will be with you all through it all.
- 30:47Speaker 2: So Jamison, where can people find you? On social media?
- 30:49Speaker 1: At Twitter? On the at the Jamison I'm there and
- 30:52Speaker 1: I got fin spell this weekend. Why did you mention, uh,
- 30:55Speaker 1: your boy Forlonga and Hitchins this weekend?
- 30:57Speaker 2: Ah, that's you know, I forget. So Edgar Burlanga is
- 31:04Speaker 2: coming back on Sunday the twenty sixth. Yeah, yeah, no,
- 31:08Speaker 2: I know.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Hit just pulled in Vegas two months ago. Yeah, I
- 31:13Speaker 1: need some performance as foar, I mentioned him again.
- 31:16Speaker 2: Wait what happened?
- 31:18Speaker 1: You remember he caught out the day of the fight,
- 31:21Speaker 1: said he was sick next week. I'm cool, I'm cool.
- 31:27Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I thought you you were thinking about Berlonga. Yeah.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Well that's another thing too, that's interesting like this.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I honestly, if he wasn't Puerto Rican, we wouldn't be
- 31:36Speaker 1: talking about.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Him one hundred percent agreed. Yeah, which, but that's also
- 31:39Speaker 2: another thing. That another thing before we go that has
- 31:42Speaker 2: been kind of hard for me to keep track of
- 31:46Speaker 2: the super Fight ser on Sundays.
- 31:47Speaker 1: So I'm like, yeah, yeah, I don't give it either.
- 31:50Speaker 1: I don't know. That's not a thing where my you
- 31:54Speaker 1: know what, though during the summer there's nothing on TV
- 31:56Speaker 1: on Sundays, there's nothing on, so it kind of makes sense.
- 31:59Speaker 1: But man, I honestly I really don't like watching him fight.
- 32:02Speaker 1: I'm not a fan. Again, if he was not Puerto
- 32:05Speaker 1: Rican and he was not based out of New York,
- 32:06Speaker 1: we would not care about him. I need to see
- 32:08Speaker 1: a whole hell of a lot more for him before I yeah,
- 32:11Speaker 1: I'm Hitchins least has talent. I think he has a
- 32:16Speaker 1: long way to go, but he has talent. I can
- 32:18Speaker 1: understand where at least his hype comes from. Longo. Man,
- 32:22Speaker 1: I'm cool. I seen this before. I'm cool.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Well, and you know, yeah, Sunday is a good night
- 32:28Speaker 2: because there's nothing on on TV. It's just my brain
- 32:30Speaker 2: doesn't think of boxing on Sunday nights, you know what
- 32:32Speaker 2: I mean? Uh, you know, Friday, Saturday, even Friday, like
- 32:36Speaker 2: it's a weekend.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Like I can do Friday night fights. I can do Friday,
- 32:40Speaker 1: big Night's Friday, but Saturday is the norm Sunday. It
- 32:43Speaker 1: takes a lot to get used to. But hey, if
- 32:45Speaker 1: you put the fights on, we'll watch. That's the thing. Like,
- 32:47Speaker 1: as long as you market it, well, we'll watch. But
- 32:50Speaker 1: I really ain't watching for longer fight man, Like, you
- 32:53Speaker 1: can give me the cliff notes. I really don't like it.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Ain't nothing there, like I don't care. And he's all right,
- 32:58Speaker 1: you know what I'm gonna give it to Please. If
- 33:02Speaker 1: you're a betting person, bet his opponent to win. I'm
- 33:06Speaker 1: not saying it's gonna happen, but he's so sorry. As
- 33:09Speaker 1: a boxer, the odds are in your favor, like for
- 33:12Speaker 1: long as like a minus two hundred and two sixty
- 33:14Speaker 1: favor or something like that. Last time I checked, I
- 33:18Speaker 1: want to satainly pull it back up. You need one moment.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Last time I checked, the opponent like plus two fifty
- 33:27Speaker 1: or two seventy or something like that. Yeah, plus two thirty. Yeah,
- 33:32Speaker 1: take that, not don't put them put the ram money
- 33:34Speaker 1: on it, don't put the mortgage on it. But throw
- 33:36Speaker 1: a little something on there, and you know, see what happens.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Gotcha. Yeah, he's fighting a guy named Stephen Butler, who
- 33:42Speaker 2: I don't know anything about. Nothing against him.
- 33:44Speaker 1: I just don't know. Yeah, I don't know either. But
- 33:46Speaker 1: take your chances. Take your chances.
- 33:48Speaker 2: That's an official a recommendation for the mis Comedy podcast.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Take your chances.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Yep.
- 33:54Speaker 2: But yeah, well you know what next week, next episode
- 33:56Speaker 2: will give you the cliff notes on that, and we'll
- 33:58Speaker 2: see what happens with Richards of his because that's the
- 34:00Speaker 2: one I'm very curious about yep, but yeah. So make
