Janis Cobb Norris, beloved educator and advocate for children with special needs, passed away at 87, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and dedication. Starting as an English teacher in Nashville, she later led the Child Development Center in Wilmington for 18 years, transforming it into a thriving hub for families. Even after retiring in 1994, she remained active on the board. A gifted musician who played piano and accordion alongside her late husband Fletcher, she also volunteered tirelessly through PEO and her church.
