Festival Board Theft Under Investigation | Peoria News
A 75-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a $500+ theft from the Friendship Festival’s bank account, sparking community concern and prompting major internal changes — including removing the implicated board member, adding two new co-treasurers, and requiring three signatures for any financial transactions. The festival board admits their initial response was inadequate, citing ongoing police investigation as reason for limited public details. Authorities say the probe is still active.
