- 00;00;00;02 - 00;00;04;22 Sam We are finally getting a single hero link that governs file access. 00;00;04;24 - 00;00;13;00 Alex Honestly, this might be my favorite update just for the sheer sanity it restores. 00;00;13;02 - 00;00;14;28 Sam Welcome to the Roadmap Rundown. 00;00;15;03 - 00;00;21;27 Sam The podcast that keeps you up to speed on what's new, what's changing, and what's coming next across Microsoft 365. 00;00;22;00 - 00;00;38;22 Alex Let's get into it. Welcome to the Roadmap Rundown. Microsoft is hitting the undo button on some of its most anticipated features. But, you know, at the exact same time, I's finally learning how to do your expenses and update your databases. 00;00;38;24 - 00;00;43;22 Sam Yeah, it's a lot. We have a massive stack of Microsoft 365 updates to get through today. 00;00;43;25 - 00;00;55;00 Alex Right? And the mission for this rundown is really just to sift through all that noise. We want to pull out the structural shifts you actually need to care about. No information overload, just the facts to keep you ahead of the curve. 00;00;55;02 - 00;01;03;23 Sam Because there really is a staggering volume of updates rolling out right now. And I mean, what stands out most to me is the architectural shift happening underneath them all. 00;01;03;26 - 00;01;08;20 Alex Yeah, we're definitely moving past the phase where I just, you know, generates an email draft for you. 00;01;08;22 - 00;01;21;18 Sam Exactly. The platform is being rewired for autonomous action, and that fundamentally changes how you handle data security, governance and even basic file sharing. We've categorized these shifts so you can immediately apply them to your environment. 00;01;21;22 - 00;01;30;08 Alex So let's jump right into the top stories. These are the big impactful architecture and security shifts. And the first one on the board involves work IQ. 00;01;30;10 - 00;01;31;19 Sam Oh yeah. This is huge. 00;01;31;21 - 00;01;40;08 Alex It really is. It's evolving into this massive action layer for agents because up until now, if I ask an AI a question, it just fetched data and summarized it right? 00;01;40;08 - 00;01;41;21 Sam Right. It was basically read only. 00;01;41;26 - 00;01;54;14 Alex Exactly. But now work IQ is enabling agents to actually upload files, update off stocks, and track these long running, durable tasks. They can even use Rest endpoints and power apps via natural language. 00;01;54;16 - 00;02;01;20 Sam And the underlying mechanism here is the real story. Microsoft is leaning heavily into the Model Context Protocol or MCP. 00;02;01;21 - 00;02;02;18 Alex MCP, right? 00;02;02;19 - 00;02;11;09 Sam Yeah. Think of MCP as a universal translator between an AI reasoning engine and your company's proprietary databases. 00;02;11;12 - 00;02;12;08 Alex Okay. 00;02;12;10 - 00;02;19;02 Sam Previously, if you wanted an AI to update a custom HR tool, you had to build a hardcoded integration. It was a heavy lift. 00;02;19;04 - 00;02;21;15 Alex Right? You needed a developer to wire it all up. 00;02;21;19 - 00;02;40;18 Sam Exactly. But now using MCP, the agent understands the context of what you're asking. It maps the variables to the correct fields in a power app all on its own, and then executes the change via a Rest endpoint. It's shifting the AI from a read only assistant to an active participant. 00;02;40;20 - 00;02;47;05 Alex It's like the I just got promoted, you know, from a researcher who just hands you a report to an assistant who actually files the paperwork for you. 00;02;47;10 - 00;02;59;11 Sam That is a brilliant way to frame it. I mean, the fact that it handles durable tasks, meaning it doesn't just fire off a request and forget about it is huge. It can monitor that task over days and report back to you. 00;02;59;14 - 00;03;05;19 Alex Wow. Over days. That's wild. But it doesn't just run completely unchecked, right? 00;03;05;20 - 00;03;14;16 Sam Oh, no. It requires explicit user confirmation before submitting a critical database change. So it is not operating entirely without guardrails. 00;03;14;19 - 00;03;25;12 Alex Okay, that's a relief. So the big takeaway here is that you need to start mapping out those repetitive workflows in your organization, because agents can now execute those mundane tasks directly. 00;03;25;14 - 00;03;27;15 Sam Yep. Get those workflows ready. 00;03;27;17 - 00;03;34;02 Alex But you know, if we have AI agents suddenly updating our databases and doing real work, it opens up a massive security question. 00;03;34;05 - 00;03;35;01 Sam Oh for sure. 00;03;35;04 - 00;03;39;12 Alex Like, how do we stop them from touching legacy files they really shouldn't have access to? 00;03;39;12 - 00;03;45;10 Sam Which brings us to story number two. There is a massive expansion happening with Microsoft Purview right now. 00;03;45;12 - 00;03;47;11 Alex Which is their compliance and security suite. 00;03;47;13 - 00;04;01;18 Sam Right. And there are two major fronts here. Delegated administration and legacy data protection. On the admin side, they're introducing delegated Copilot data loss prevention or DLP using administrative units. 00;04;01;25 - 00;04;04;16 Alex Which is just a massive relief for global companies. Right. 00;04;04;18 - 00;04;09;21 Sam Oh, absolutely. Historically managing AI security. Was this all or nothing nightmare? 00;04;09;25 - 00;04;18;01 Alex Yeah. Like if you needed someone to manage DLP alerts for just the German office, you had to give them way too much access across the entire global tenant. 00;04;18;05 - 00;04;28;17 Sam Exactly. But tying this to administrative units means you can finally isolate that AI oversight by region or department without creating those tenant wide keys to the kingdom. 00;04;28;21 - 00;04;31;02 Alex Which is critical for international data privacy laws. 00;04;31;07 - 00;04;42;11 Sam It's the only way to stay compliant, honestly. But the second front of this purview update is arguably even more impactful for daily operations. It's server side auto labeling for legacy files. 00;04;42;13 - 00;04;44;01 Alex Okay, break that down for us. 00;04;44;04 - 00;04;55;07 Sam As Copilot indexes the tenant, it surfaces everything. So if you have an old XLS spreadsheet from 2012 sitting in a forgotten SharePoint library. 00;04;55;10 - 00;04;58;24 Alex Full of unencrypted Social Security numbers or financial data. 00;04;58;27 - 00;05;03;00 Sam Exactly. Copilot might pull that into a user's prompt response today. 00;05;03;02 - 00;05;08;08 Alex Just because it never received a modern sensitivity label. It's basically a raw file collecting dust. 00;05;08;14 - 00;05;23;29 Sam Precisely. So what Microsoft is doing now is auto labeling that data at rest. It looks at the default sensitivity label of the document library where the file lives, and it applies it backward to all those old docs, XLS and files. 00;05;24;03 - 00;05;33;09 Alex Oh, wow. So it plugs those old security holes without requiring your IT team to manually open and label thousands of ten year old documents. 00;05;33;10 - 00;05;35;20 Sam Exactly. It's a lifesaver. 00;05;35;22 - 00;05;48;00 Alex So your takeaway for the compliance teams listening is that you finally have the tools to secure your legacy data and delegate your AI oversight. You can actually manage this stuff without risking tenant wide policy chaos. 00;05;48;04 - 00;05;51;02 Sam Yeah, you can lock down the past while rolling out the future. 00;05;51;04 - 00;06;01;10 Alex I love that. Now, speaking of locking things down, our third big top story is about teams, specifically A.I., memory and a bundle of new security controls. 00;06;01;12 - 00;06;03;20 Sam This one is going to spark some debates. 00;06;03;22 - 00;06;12;05 Alex I can already tell. So copilot is now going to retain an AI generated meeting memory file, even if a transcript isn't saved. 00;06;12;08 - 00;06;14;09 Sam Yeah. It's a fascinating architectural decision. 00;06;14;10 - 00;06;25;12 Alex Wait. Hold on. I have to push back on this immediately. If we actively choose not to save a transcript, how does the. I remember what we said. And doesn't that completely defeat the purpose of not recording the meeting? 00;06;25;18 - 00;06;33;07 Sam That is the exact reaction most privacy officers are going to have. And it raises a critical question about balancing privacy with AI utility. 00;06;33;09 - 00;06;36;00 Alex Yeah, because it sounds like a back door recording, right. 00;06;36;00 - 00;06;56;10 Sam But here's how the mechanism actually works. When you choose not to save the transcript, the AI doesn't keep a verbatim log of who said what. It doesn't keep the transcript. Okay. Instead, it generates a specific admin configurable memory file. And this file just extracts the key themes, decisions, and action items as metadata. 00;06;56;16 - 00;06;57;11 Alex Interesting. 00;06;57;13 - 00;07;04;12 Sam Yeah. And once the meeting ends, the raw audio and the actual transcript data are completely wiped. But that memory file remains. 00;07;04;18 - 00;07;13;22 Alex Okay, so it's keeping abstract concepts, not direct quotes. So I couldn't go in and ask, what exact words did the CEO use when she got angry? 00;07;13;24 - 00;07;15;10 Sam Right. I wouldn't know. 00;07;15;12 - 00;07;19;15 Alex But I could ask, what were the three action items assigned to marketing? 00;07;19;23 - 00;07;28;22 Sam You've got it. It allows copilot to remain useful long after the meeting without violating the mandate to destroy the raw conversational transcript. 00;07;28;24 - 00;07;30;12 Alex That makes a lot more sense. 00;07;30;14 - 00;07;36;18 Sam And speaking of protecting users, teams is also rolling out QR code blurring for external senders. 00;07;36;21 - 00;07;38;22 Alex Oh, that's needed desperately. 00;07;38;24 - 00;07;48;02 Sam We're seeing a massive spike in phishing attacks where bad actors send malicious QR codes in chat, simply because traditional text based scanners couldn't read the images. 00;07;48;04 - 00;07;51;28 Alex So teams will actively blur those now. Yes. 00;07;52;00 - 00;07;59;21 Sam They're also adding a transcript profanity masking, toggle impersonation warnings and third party synthetic media to detection rate. 00;07;59;21 - 00;08;01;04 Alex Synthetic media. 00;08;01;06 - 00;08;02;29 Sam Like deepfakes. 00;08;03;01 - 00;08;04;00 Alex Exactly. 00;08;04;02 - 00;08;07;00 Sam Essentially, tools to spot deepfakes on live video calls. 00;08;07;05 - 00;08;10;01 Alex That is terrifying, but also the reality we live in now. 00;08;10;02 - 00;08;10;19 Sam It really is. 00;08;10;25 - 00;08;24;08 Alex So if you're outlining your next steps, your takeaway here is to urgently review your transcript retention policies. Because I memory now operates on a completely separate track from your standard recordings. Your legal team really needs to understand that distinction. 00;08;24;10 - 00;08;31;02 Sam Absolutely. Let's pivot to our final top story, which shifts from security over to everyday collaboration friction. 00;08;31;04 - 00;08;32;10 Alex Yes, please. 00;08;32;12 - 00;08;40;27 Sam The next generation M365 sharing experience is rolling out. We are finally getting a single hero link that governs file access. 00;08;41;05 - 00;08;48;26 Alex Honestly, this might be my favorite update just for the sheer sanity it restores because the sharing experience has been incredibly fractured. 00;08;48;28 - 00;08;49;19 Sam It was a mess. 00;08;49;23 - 00;09;02;11 Alex We've all dealt with the nightmare of figuring out if you know, the link we copied from the SharePoint menu behaves the same as the link we attached in an outlook email, or if it's different from the raw URL we just grabbed out of the browser bar. 00;09;02;13 - 00;09;25;19 Sam Right? It was just a mess of different permissions scopes. But this update standardizes that entirely. Whether you click share or copy the link or just grab it from the browser, the platform generates a unified hero link. Finally, it evaluates the user's permissions consistently across the board, so it's secure by default, and it should drastically reduce those. Awful. You don't have access to this file errors. 00;09;25;26 - 00;09;40;08 Alex Yes. So the takeaway here is just a rare win for simplicity. Sharing files is about to become universally consistent across all M365 apps. You won't have to train your users on three different ways to share a document anymore. 00;09;40;13 - 00;09;46;18 Sam Exactly. So with those major structural shifts covered, let's transition into section two. The rundown. 00;09;46;20 - 00;09;57;14 Alex Right. This is where we transition from the big structural shifts to a rapid fire tour of feature updates. We've grouped these logically by theme, and we're going for breadth over depth here to keep things moving. 00;09;57;17 - 00;10;05;05 Sam Let's kick off with theme one AI and productivity. Doing real work. Over in Excel they're introducing plan mode. 00;10;05;10 - 00;10;06;04 Alex Plan mode. 00;10;06;04 - 00;10;12;28 Sam Yeah. So before copilot executes a complex change to your workbook, it stops and outlines a step by step approach. 00;10;12;29 - 00;10;14;01 Alex Oh, I like that. 00;10;14;04 - 00;10;18;13 Sam It's like a contractor showing you the blueprints before they just start knocking down a wall in your house. 00;10;18;14 - 00;10;20;08 Alex That's a perfect analogy. 00;10;20;10 - 00;10;27;28 Sam You can review the exact formula changes and macro steps it intends to take before a single cell of your data is actually altered. 00;10;28;00 - 00;10;34;01 Alex Which totally solves that black box anxiety users have with AI. Like what is it actually doing to my spreadsheet? 00;10;34;02 - 00;10;44;01 Sam Exactly. And alongside that, copilot can now schedule meetings directly from your chat. Plus, Visio Desktop is getting a local windows server for AI diagram editing. 00;10;44;04 - 00;10;45;00 Alex Wait. A local. 00;10;45;00 - 00;10;54;22 Sam Server? Yeah. Meaning it can process natural language request locally to generate complex architecture or org charts. It doesn't need a round trip to the cloud for every single node adjustment. 00;10;54;25 - 00;10;56;22 Alex That's going to speed things up so much. 00;10;56;24 - 00;11;05;27 Sam And one node is adding notebook audio overviews. They have these unique formats, like having the AI generate a critique or a debate based on your written notes. 00;11;06;00 - 00;11;16;13 Alex Oh, that's really cool. And to round out this productivity theme, SharePoint is getting a modern page web part dedicated to AI agents, plus side by side content previews for copilot. 00;11;16;15 - 00;11;20;01 Sam Right. So you can actually read the source material while you're chatting with the agent. 00;11;20;02 - 00;11;28;09 Alex Exactly. Outlook classic shared mailboxes are finally getting Copilot chat and Outlook Mobile is letting you save attachments directly to SharePoint. 00;11;28;16 - 00;11;29;08 Sam Long overdue. 00;11;29;11 - 00;11;42;11 Alex Right. So your takeaway for this theme is that AI is becoming much more transparent before executing actions, and natural language is rapidly becoming the universal UI for content creation. It's surfacing exactly where you're already working. 00;11;42;14 - 00;11;56;23 Sam Absolutely. Okay, moving to theme two. We're looking at teams, events and collaboration signals. Teams event production is getting a massive upgrade. First off, capacity is jumping to 20,000 registrations for a single event. 00;11;56;25 - 00;12;03;19 Alex 20,000? I mean, that pushes teams out of the standard meeting category and straight into enterprise broadcasting. 00;12;03;20 - 00;12;16;19 Sam It absolutely does. And the feature set reflects that broadcast mentality. They're adding support for external presenters to join the event, group chat backstage public chat in government clouds and custom email invites. 00;12;16;22 - 00;12;17;11 Alex Nice. 00;12;17;13 - 00;12;22;12 Sam But the biggest technical leap is the introduction of NDI streaming switchboards. 00;12;22;14 - 00;12;29;15 Alex Okay, for anyone who hasn't run a massive corporate broadcast, NDI or network device interface is an absolute game changer. 00;12;29;16 - 00;12;30;04 Sam It really is. 00;12;30;05 - 00;12;47;11 Alex It lets you pull individual video feeds from a teams call over your local network and route them directly into professional broadcasting software like OBS or Phoenix. You aren't just, you know, screen sharing a teams window anymore. You're treating teams callers like individual camera feeds in a TV control room. 00;12;47;11 - 00;13;05;07 Sam Exactly. And when you couple that with the ability to upload high quality, on demand video directly to OneDrive for post-event playback, teams is aggressively positioning itself as a true broadcast grade webinar platform. Oh, and to make it official, they are renaming the meet app to the events app. 00;13;05;09 - 00;13;19;11 Alex Makes perfect sense. And for every day collaboration teams is introducing contextual chat. So if you open a PDF or an HTML file in teams, the chat stays visible alongside it. You don't have to constantly minimize the document just to reply to a message. 00;13;19;18 - 00;13;22;13 Sam Such a small change with such a big impact on workflow. 00;13;22;14 - 00;13;36;22 Alex Totally. Also, SharePoint news is gaining the ability to cross post directly to Viva Engage, which keeps the conversation thread unified. Plus, new AI Citation Analytics will show you exactly how often your files are being referenced by Copilot across the tenant. 00;13;36;24 - 00;13;52;03 Sam So the overarching takeaway for this event and collaboration theme is that context switching is being drastically reduced. Whether you're running a 20 person chat around a PDF or a 20,000 person broadcast, Microsoft is trying to keep you inside a single pane of glass. 00;13;52;05 - 00;14;05;08 Alex Which brings us to our final theme in the rundown. Power platform dynamics and niche workflows. Over in dynamics 365 Commerce, they've added structured point of sale return tools specifically designed for AI agents to use. 00;14;05;15 - 00;14;09;16 Sam And in finance, they're dramatically improving matrix rendering through virtualization. 00;14;09;20 - 00;14;10;20 Alex Virtualization. 00;14;10;22 - 00;14;18;25 Sam Yeah, it means large financial data sets load progressively as you scroll, rather than the browser, trying to render 10,000 rows at once and just crashing. 00;14;18;29 - 00;14;21;06 Alex Oh, anyone in finance is going to love that. 00;14;21;09 - 00;14;34;10 Sam They're also adding intergroup dimension security. This lets you apply row level security to your financial data based on inter ID groups. So you know, your European managers only see the financial dimensions relevant to their region. 00;14;34;12 - 00;14;52;12 Alex And in project operations they're rolling out atomic receipt posting. This is a brilliant database update. It posts a purchase order receipt and its corresponding consumption in one single transaction. So if the system crashes halfway through, the whole transaction fails, you never end up with duplicate postings or ghost inventory. 00;14;52;15 - 00;15;02;17 Sam And meanwhile the procurement agent is getting customer scenario routing. So if a supplier follow up requires a specific complex workflow, the agent can write it automatically. 00;15;02;20 - 00;15;12;27 Alex Over on the power platform side, Power Pages is adding single page app or spa creation directly from the studio Copilot Studio studio's connecting to a shared plugin registry. 00;15;12;29 - 00;15;18;01 Sam Right? Which means developers can build an integration with once and expose it to all agents in the tenant. 00;15;18;04 - 00;15;36;21 Alex And the government cloud is finally catching up, getting copilot in forms and the refreshed planner interface. So your big takeaway here is that ERP and retail workflows are becoming highly a genetic. These environments are catching up to modern standards, and complex tasks are now fully structured for AI automation. 00;15;36;24 - 00;15;45;08 Sam But you know, as exciting as all of this is, we have to face reality. Let's pivot into section three roadmap roulette. 00;15;45;10 - 00;16;02;24 Alex Yes, the reality check segment. This is where we look at what is launching. And sharp pivot to what is not launching. Dealing with canceled features and delayed timelines. I always look at roadmap dates like a flight status board during a winter storm. They are subject to change until you are literally in the air. 00;16;02;26 - 00;16;08;16 Sam It's the best way to look at it. Let's deal with the cancellations first. What's officially dead? 00;16;08;19 - 00;16;24;00 Alex So Microsoft has outright canceled the copilot M365 mobile search tab. They also killed the team's interpreter admin dashboard. And if you are a fan of browser UI tweaks, the edge horizontal rounded tabs are officially canceled. 00;16;24;03 - 00;16;33;07 Sam The implication here is purely operational. If your organization was waiting on these UI or analytics changes, you need to update your internal training materials. 00;16;33;12 - 00;16;42;21 Alex Yeah, your takeaway here is don't build training docs for UI features until they actually ship. Don't promise your users a new mobile search tab that's never going to arrive. 00;16;42;24 - 00;16;55;15 Sam Excellent advice. And then we have the delays. And this is a substantial list primarily centered around purview. We're seeing massive delays pushing out into late 2026 and even early 2027. 00;16;55;17 - 00;16;56;11 Alex Now that far out. 00;16;56;16 - 00;17;11;18 Sam Yeah. This includes last accessed retention policies DLP alert auto resolution, and SharePoint retention archiving. But most notably, the entirely new data Security posture management, or DSP experience is heavily delayed. 00;17;11;23 - 00;17;23;20 Alex Which is a huge deal because DSP is supposed to be the holy grail for compliance teams, right? Like a single dashboard that maps out exactly where all your sensitive data lives, who has access to it, and where the vulnerabilities are. 00;17;23;24 - 00;17;24;16 Sam Exactly. 00;17;24;18 - 00;17;31;11 Alex Having that delayed to 2027 sounds painful, but honestly, it's probably a massive relief for the I.T people on the ground. 00;17;31;16 - 00;17;50;02 Sam Oh, I completely agree. IT teams have been sprinting a marathon just trying to keep up with the initial copilot compliance requirements. And when you consider that they're also delaying the streamlined mobile messaging in teams and various Veeva metrics, it paints a picture of a platform just taking a necessary breath. 00;17;50;04 - 00;18;01;17 Alex So the takeaway for Roadmap Roulette is that IT teams actually get a breather on implementing these new purview architectures. It gives you time to refine your current compliance strategies before the next massive wave of tools hits. 00;18;01;20 - 00;18;10;10 Sam And that naturally brings us to our final segment today. Admin watch. This is purely focused on governance, administration and keeping the lights on. 00;18;10;12 - 00;18;24;12 Alex Right. And first on the docket is the Power apps AI settings consolidation. The AI settings are moving. They're relocating to the Copilot hub and Maker Studio. And those old environments which is you used to rely on are being completely retired. 00;18;24;15 - 00;18;36;17 Sam The centralization makes sense. You know, putting generative pages and in-app AI skills in one logical place. But if you have it runbooks or automated scripts pointing to the old URLs, those will break immediately. 00;18;36;19 - 00;18;41;25 Alex So the takeaway is admins need to update their configuration runbooks right now to find these settings. 00;18;41;27 - 00;18;53;24 Sam Next up we have the purview Rmbs connector off change. Microsoft is transitioning away from a Microsoft provision shared secret to customer managed certificate based authentication via an intra app. 00;18;54;01 - 00;18;58;05 Alex Okay, let me pause you there. Does this mean admins just got assigned a bunch more homework? 00;18;58;07 - 00;19;17;27 Sam Yes, they absolutely did, but for a very good reason. A shared secret is essentially a highly privileged, hardcoded password that never changes, right? Historically, because Microsoft provisioned it, admins would sometimes just leave that secret sitting in plaintext in a script somewhere, creating a massive security vulnerability. 00;19;18;01 - 00;19;19;00 Alex Oh. Yikes. 00;19;19;00 - 00;19;30;20 Sam Exactly. So by shifting to certificate based authentication, you're using cryptographic keys that rotate and are managed through intra. It shifts the burden to the customer, but it eliminates that vulnerability. 00;19;30;22 - 00;19;41;02 Alex Okay. So the administrative takeaway plan an intra app registration and generate a certificate before your next connector upgrade. Or your process is going to stall out completely. 00;19;41;08 - 00;19;47;17 Sam Exactly. Now let's talk about a huge win for device management cloud update rollbacks. 00;19;47;20 - 00;19;49;08 Alex Oh, tell me about this. 00;19;49;10 - 00;20;01;10 Sam Devices on the monthly enterprise channel can now be rolled back up to two releases prior. But the crucial part is that while you rollback the feature update, you keep the latest security updates for that older release. 00;20;01;13 - 00;20;14;00 Alex Oh my goodness, that is the holy grail for desktop support. If a new update breaks a bespoke internal app, you usually face a terrible choice rollback and leave the machine vulnerable, or push forward and break the user's workflow right? 00;20;14;01 - 00;20;15;01 Sam It's always a lose lose. 00;20;15;04 - 00;20;23;29 Alex But now it gets crucial. Breathing room to fix application compatibility issues without compromising on security. Patching that is a massive take away. 00;20;24;01 - 00;20;42;05 Sam It really is. Finally, we need to highlight the new governance surfaces. Microsoft is heavily decentralizing governance previews, adding the ability to export your DLP and label policies to a downloadable zip file. They're also extending sensitivity labels directly to enter cloud security groups. 00;20;42;07 - 00;20;56;14 Alex And in SharePoint, they're introducing a dedicated governance reviews dashboard for site owners. Over in dynamics, sales admins are getting control toggles to manage data enrichment sources, like deciding if AI is allowed to pull from CRM notes. 00;20;56;16 - 00;21;05;15 Sam And Veeva Engage is adding a human review toggle. So a community manager actually has to approve an AI agent's answer before it gets posted to the wider group. 00;21;05;17 - 00;21;14;15 Alex So the big takeaway here is that Microsoft is giving site owners and community managers the tools to police their own backyards, which takes the burden off global admins. 00;21;14;18 - 00;21;15;20 Sam Absolutely. 00;21;15;23 - 00;21;28;28 Alex Wow. Okay. Looking at everything we unpacked today, we covered an incredible pace of agent integration, the tightening of compliance tools, and you know, the shifting roadmap dates. The platform is definitely growing up. 00;21;29;00 - 00;21;36;21 Sam It really is. But before we wrap up, I want to leave you with one final thought based on those Visio and Commerce MVP updates we talked about. 00;21;36;21 - 00;21;37;23 Alex Yeah, lay it on us. 00;21;37;25 - 00;21;51;20 Sam As Microsoft connects our everyday desktop apps and ERP systems directly to AI reasoning engines via these local servers. Are we approaching an era where the traditional user interface becomes entirely secondary? 00;21;51;22 - 00;21;52;26 Alex Oh wow. 00;21;52;28 - 00;22;08;08 Sam Think about it. The ribbons, the drop down menus, all the buttons we've spent decades mastering. If the real application is just a background engine operated by an AI agent on your behalf, how does that fundamentally change how you hire and train employees? 00;22;08;13 - 00;22;19;14 Alex That is a phenomenal question. If the user interface disappears, the core competency isn't knowing which button to click anymore. It's knowing how to ask the right question and audit the result. 00;22;19;22 - 00;22;20;14 Sam Exactly. 00;22;20;17 - 00;22;33;06 Alex Take these insights. Bring them into your next meeting and start planning for that shift. We will be back next time with another stack of sauces to unpack for you.
