- 0:30wanted to know what they believed in. The German shepherd said, I believe
- 0:36in discipline, loyalty, and the training of my master. Good, said
- 0:42God, you may sit at my right side. The doberman said, I
- 0:48believe in love, care and protection of my master. Aha, you may
- 0:54sit on my left side, said God. Then God looked at the cat
- 0:59and said, what do you believe in? The cat replied, I believe
- 1:04you are sitting in my seat. Have you ever noticed the trend towards superficiality
- 1:22in our world today? We're easily bored, Our attention spans keep shrinking,
- 1:29and we have a steady stream of superficial input from the media. It's a
- 1:34mile wide and an inch deep. We're more apt to react to what we
- 1:38see on social media and type off a quick response or click a thumbs up
- 1:45button and move on to the next video flashing at us. Before we know
- 1:49it, an hour or two or more has passed and all we've been doing
- 1:56is waiting in the shallows. We will talk about super officiality in today's episode
- 2:01of Positively three sixty five, but first we have our trivia question of the
- 2:07day. Are you ready for it? Here? It is what bird is
- 2:14known for laying its eggs in the nests of other birds. We will have
- 2:20the answer when we come back. Do you enjoy listening to this podcast?

- 3:22financially and otherwise do you know the answer to this week's trivia question? The
- 3:35question was what bird is known for laying its eggs in the nests of other
- 3:40birds? The answer the cuckoo. Female parasitic cuckoos sometimes specialize and lay eggs
- 3:52that closely resemble the eggs of their chosen host. Some birds are able to
- 3:57distinguish cuckoo eggs from their own, leading to those eggs least like the hosts
- 4:04being thrown out of the nest. Now you know, Choosing authenticity over superficiality
- 4:19is an investment in a richer, more meaningful existence. Authentic living empowers individuals
- 4:27to embrace their true selves, fostering genuine connections and deeper relationships in a world
- 4:35often entangled with facades. Authenticity stands as a beacon of honesty, enabling personal
- 4:45growth and self discovery. By rejecting superficiality, individuals free themselves from the shackles
- 4:53of societal expectations and materialistic pursuits. They can find contentment in their their own
- 5:00unique values and passions. Authenticity promotes emotional resilience, providing a sturdy foundation to
- 5:06navigate life's challenges. With sincerity, it sparks positive ripple effects, inspiring others
- 5:15to seek genuine connections and live purposefully. In the pursuit of authenticity, individuals
- 5:23contribute to a more compassionate and understanding world where true connections triumph over surface level
- 5:30interactions. Ultimately choosing authenticity as a conscious decision to live a life that is
- 5:40deeply fulfilling, leaving a lasting legacy of sincerity and genuine impact. This is
- 5:47far superior to a superficial life. Anthony Hopkins once said, my philosophy is
- 6:05it's none of my business what people say of me and think of me.
- 6:11I am what I am, and I do what I do. I expect
- 6:15nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier. Yes, we
- 6:23live in a world where funerals are more important than the dead, marriage is
- 6:29more important than love, and looks are more important than the soul. We
- 6:34live in a packaging culture that despises content. It is important to look beyond
- 6:43the superficial. Thank you for joining us today. Please consider taking a moment
