In 2019, Gerardo Martinez had a crazy idea to buy a vacant lot in Edgewater that was overgrown and had become a town dumping spot and turn it into a sustainable farm. Here we are five years later and Wild Kid Acres is an international model for sustainability and Gerardo now sits as the Goodwill Ambassador for Regenerative Agriculture at the United Nations! To say this little farm has come a long way is a gross underestimate.
