- 0:48Sean McAllister: Revealed episode 185.
- 0:50Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister here along with Dayna Roselli, and you know, dana, I feel like for the past week or so it's been kind of the tale of two cities, cause we've had some monsoon storms roll through and I was texting you I was like, oh my god, are you safe, are you okay?
- 1:05Sean McAllister: You're like what?
- 1:06Speaker 4: are you talking?
- 1:07Sean McAllister: about.
- 1:07Sean McAllister: It's sunny and I'm sitting outside having coffee.
- 1:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah, isn't it so weird?
- 1:12Dayna Roselli: I mean, we talk about it all the time, but it is really so strange.
- 1:15Dayna Roselli: It's like, literally, we live in the desert in this valley and it can be storming and pouring on one side of town and sunny and blue skies and another side of town yeah, I didn't know what you were talking about.
- 1:28Dayna Roselli: And then the Friday night before I was stuck in this storm over near Tivoli Village and I have never driven in harder rain in my life, the point where I had to me and my friend had to pull over to a parking garage just to get shelter.
- 1:42Sean McAllister: I mean it's scary.
- 1:43Sean McAllister: I told you I was sitting at an intersection at a red light waiting for the green light to come and as we were sitting there, just the duration of the red light, the entire intersection filled up with water and I mean it was up to my bumper.
- 1:58Sean McAllister: It was getting scary watching that water rise.
- 2:01Sean McAllister: I was like I'm just turning because I see dry road off to my right and I'm just going to keep turning onto roads that aren't covered with water.
- 2:12Dayna Roselli: I know, and last week we talked about us getting some rain all at once, but this weekend was worse like 10 times worse than what we talked about last week.
- 2:24Dayna Roselli: And there's people out there like, oh, it's raining Big deal.
- 2:27Dayna Roselli: You guys complain you don't have water and now you're mad that it's raining, or hey, this always happens, get used to it.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: It's not so weird.
- 2:35Dayna Roselli: All of that incorrect.
- 2:36Dayna Roselli: We do like the rain.
- 2:38Sean McAllister: We do.
- 2:39Dayna Roselli: We are happy to have the rain.
- 2:41Dayna Roselli: It's just that when it all dumps at once it can be a dangerous situation, and we have not had this active of a monsoon in a few years.
- 2:51Sean McAllister: Oh, it's been a while yeah.
- 2:53Dayna Roselli: Especially 2020,.
- 2:54Dayna Roselli: We had like nothing that summer and then I think last year we were excited when we got like a couple days.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: But this has been an active summer monsoon and it's definitely been the worst in a while.
- 3:05Sean McAllister: Yeah, I feel like it's been a rainy year so far.
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: It really has you know different situations.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: At, I mean, even Allegiant Stadium, the roof was leaking a little bit.
- 3:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we've had you know some places.
- 3:16Dayna Roselli: What was it?
- 3:17Dayna Roselli: Dotties, they had some issues with some leaking.
- 3:19Dayna Roselli: It was all coming.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: I mean, there's so many different spots all across town that had some major damage.
- 3:24Sean McAllister: Yeah, they did so.
- 3:26Sean McAllister: Fortunately, it seems like for the time being, the moisture in the atmosphere is dried up and we don't have a ton of big storms anticipated.
- 3:37Dayna Roselli: For sure.
- 3:37Dayna Roselli: I just want to say I have always kind of knew I love hot, sunny and dry, but this has really confirmed that weekend of the month I was like depressed One day.
- 3:49Dayna Roselli: I cried three times in one day and I was like I don't even know why I'm crying.
- 3:52Dayna Roselli: And then I called my friend and I was like want to go have coffee?
- 3:55Dayna Roselli: And then I was like I cried three times and she goes, so did I.
- 3:57Dayna Roselli: But it's depressing, the weather's depressing.
- 4:01Dayna Roselli: I don't like the humidity, I am happy for sunny skies and dry.
- 4:05Dayna Roselli: I'm a whole new person this week, I'm telling you I don't know how I lived in a gloomy place for so long and maybe that's where my bitchiness came from see, I love the.
- 4:15Sean McAllister: I love when the storms come through as long as I'm in a safe place.
- 4:20Sean McAllister: I love it.
- 4:20Sean McAllister: I'm like glued to the radar app on my phone.
- 4:23Sean McAllister: I love seeing when the next Sell is coming through with the big red is gonna hit us or if we're just gonna be in the light green area yeah, you have an interest in the weather.
- 4:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, like the what's happening right, but did you wake up like cheer and excited every day?
- 4:39Sean McAllister: I know I woke up groggy and overtired because it there were thunderstorms during the night, and the dog climbed up on the bed and slept on top of my head, so I guess we're getting up now, yeah one of those things on my fit that was really low.
- 4:54Dayna Roselli: It said you're out of the zone, it's very, and I was.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: It was that one of the really rainy nights and I looked up like what does it mean when it was at the hrv, the heart and what does it mean when it's really low or whatever it was like Can be a sign of depression and I'm like yeah, I'm just one night.
- 5:08Dayna Roselli: Only your sleep can affect your mind, your nervous system.
- 5:12Dayna Roselli: I was like, yeah, it was the rain and the depression and the monsoon so bring back the sun in the weather.
- 5:19Dayna Roselli: Alright, that's my soap box.
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: Alright, what else are we talking about this week?
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: We've got a lot to cover.
- 5:24Dayna Roselli: We want to thank our sponsors.
- 5:25Dayna Roselli: Hot works again.
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: We have a special for you, so stay tuned.
- 5:28Dayna Roselli: It's a great special get your fitness on it's 24 seven.
- 5:32Dayna Roselli: A lot of people, shawna also asked me, does hot works?
- 5:34Dayna Roselli: They have the infrared son is in the classes, but do they have other things inside the facility?
- 5:39Dayna Roselli: I took my one Girlfriend with me to a class.
- 5:42Dayna Roselli: She's like oh, they do have weights here, and I said, yes, they do have weights, different pounds.
- 5:48Dayna Roselli: They have the kettle balls.
- 5:49Dayna Roselli: They have other things inside there that you can utilize as well outside of the infrared son yeah, it is.
- 5:54Sean McAllister: It's a great workout facility all around.
- 5:56Sean McAllister: Also, wanna thank Vegas near me, the app that you need to get on your phone for your Vegas visit.
- 6:03Sean McAllister: It is a must.
- 6:04Sean McAllister: Available in the apple app store, also in Google play.
- 6:08Dayna Roselli: Yes, and thank you to all our monthly subscribers.
- 6:11Dayna Roselli: We couldn't be here doing the video podcast without you, so thank you so much.
- 6:15Dayna Roselli: We really appreciate it.
- 6:16Dayna Roselli: Hey, let's talk about this seventy anniversary of the wedding capital of the world.
- 6:22Dayna Roselli: If you've heard that phrase before, you know that's Las Vegas.
- 6:25Dayna Roselli: We have quickie weddings, we have A lab rat weddings, we have weddings that don't last in our know the next day.
- 6:33Sean McAllister: We are known for all of that here in Las Vegas we are, and we're celebrating it because it has been seventy years Since a newspaper over in London coined the phrase the wedding capital of the world in reference to Las Vegas, for all of the nuptials right that we're taking place here.
- 6:51Sean McAllister: So there was a big celebration down on the Las Vegas strip over at Caesar's palace and we were over there covering all of the action.
- 7:01Sean McAllister: There was a mass vow renewal with Like three hundred sixty something couples that all renewed their vows at once it was cool they did.
- 7:11Dayna Roselli: First of all, it was a lot bigger than we thought it was a production and you and I were actually there doing some paid work.
- 7:16Dayna Roselli: We are creating a video, and so we were there from the very start to the very end, so we got to be a part of all of it.
- 7:23Dayna Roselli: And that was fun.
- 7:24Dayna Roselli: So it started off with this brunch.
- 7:25Dayna Roselli: They had entertainment, they had photo displays where people can take pictures, a silent auction, and then they moved this whole group of the whole procession into a big, huge ballroom where they had a Specialized production show.
- 7:40Dayna Roselli: They had cake.
- 7:41Dayna Roselli: They had a Elvis and Priscilla inspired cake that was done by buddy V's buddy Carlos Baker.
- 7:48Dayna Roselli: Carlos bakery which buddy V is behind, and that was really cool because they were also celebrating all the different celebrities that have gotten married here through the years and that's the one of the most iconic, obviously weddings and photographs out there yeah, I mean, and that's a six tier wedding cake.
- 8:05Sean McAllister: So there was, you know, this replica cake that was inspired by Elvis and Priscilla's cake.
- 8:10Sean McAllister: It was very intricately designed.
- 8:13Sean McAllister: Six tiers, that was Big cake yeah, it was beautiful.
- 8:17Dayna Roselli: Everyone wanted their picture with it and got it.
- 8:20Dayna Roselli: So it was.
- 8:21Dayna Roselli: It was a great event.
- 8:22Dayna Roselli: The production show was great.
- 8:23Dayna Roselli: We have so many talented people that live here in Las Vegas and perform in Las Vegas and I love that they.
- 8:29Dayna Roselli: They took a large group of them and had them sing a song from the different eras because they knew that all the people that were there getting their vow renewals, they had been married in Las Vegas at some point.
- 8:40Dayna Roselli: Some were older, some were younger, some were Middle Ages, so they wanted to hit like the love songs of all the eras and I thought that was cool.
- 8:46Sean McAllister: Yeah, so the the production show kind of started with the music of the 50s and then moved through the decades up to up to now.
- 8:54Sean McAllister: So that was it was a great idea.
- 8:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it really was love Bill medley doing that duet, with and his iconic song.
- 9:01Dayna Roselli: I had the time of my life from dirty dancing.
- 9:03Dayna Roselli: So that was great, Great show.
- 9:05Dayna Roselli: But you know what?
- 9:06Dayna Roselli: We also talked to some couples and you know Something that we really learned from interviewing some of the couples is that Vegas For some people it was the first thought that they had.
- 9:16Dayna Roselli: For others it was if something didn't work out the way they planned and they just wanted to be married and have that moment.
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: A lot of times People would just say what about Vegas?
- 9:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, vegas comes to the rescue.
- 9:29Sean McAllister: And that was exactly the case for Bishop and Erica Michaels.
- 9:33Sean McAllister: They're from Atlanta, they planned an entire wedding, but then Something got in the way.
- 9:39Sean McAllister: Listen to their story.
- 9:41Yes, we got married in Vegas.
- 9:42Interesting story though, we're supposed to be gotten married on a cruise ship.
- 9:45Two weeks before our wedding on the cruise ship, they called us because of COVID and said that it was canceled.
- 9:52So, erica, go, you go ahead, baby.
- 9:57Speaker 6: So actually, let's get it right.
- 9:58Speaker 6: They were avoiding us for two weeks.
- 10:01Speaker 6: Then they tell us four days beforehand that the wedding was canceled.
- 10:04Speaker 6: That's right.
- 10:04Speaker 6: So we're trying to figure out what we're gonna do next, because we get all this stuff customized for January 2nd 2022.
- 10:12Speaker 6: He was like, well, maybe we just do it next year, not just busted out crying.
- 10:14Speaker 6: I just like, you know, we got this customized runner for the, for the walkway, and just glasses and everything.
- 10:22Speaker 6: So it's like so he's a.
- 10:24Speaker 6: He saw me, he took one.
- 10:25Speaker 6: Look.
- 10:25Speaker 6: He's like what about Vegas?
- 10:27Speaker 6: Because Vegas has everything organized.
- 10:30Dayna Roselli: You can have a wedding very quickly very organized.
- 10:34So she was.
- 10:34Tears stopped after that.
- 10:37Dayna Roselli: So Vegas came through.
- 10:39Yes, and I love.
- 10:40I love anniversaries.
- 10:41We were gonna have a wedding anniversary every year on a cruise ship, but it ended up being better because of Vegas.
- 10:47You can always Spurred a moment, fly to Vegas and there's always fun.
- 10:52And so every year we're gonna do a wedding anniversary in Vegas.
- 10:56Dayna Roselli: Love their story.
- 10:57Dayna Roselli: Listen.
- 10:57Dayna Roselli: She had that customized runner.
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: She did not want to waste it.
- 11:00Sean McAllister: I mean, if you already got the stuff, don't let it go just sit in the trash, use it.
- 11:06Dayna Roselli: And you know that's a woman's mind thinking right, we've got a plan, We've got a plan.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: Hey, we also talked to Chris and Jessica from Park City, utah, and they were dressed to the nines and they really, you know, embraced the Vegas wedding.
- 11:21Speaker 4: I think just you know, I always I've been in a lot of traditional weddings and I just always feel like weddings should be fun, a celebration, and I think Vegas is that like ultimate place, like Vegas is where you come to celebrate, it's just a really fun place.
- 11:32Speaker 4: So that really made it a great decision for us.
- 11:34Speaker 4: And she was the one that actually said it first.
- 11:35Speaker 4: She said you know, if I ever got married, I'd like to get married by Elvis in Vegas.
- 11:39Speaker 4: And I said you know what I could do?
- 11:40Speaker 4: That and that was the start of it, because where else can you get driven in in the pink Cadillac to your wedding instead of having to walk down the aisle?
- 11:47Speaker 4: It was just a lot of fun.
- 11:48Dayna Roselli: How was it experiencing?
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: It was it was fun.
- 11:52Speaker 4: It blew people's minds, our friends say is the best wedding they've ever been to.
- 11:56Sean McAllister: It really was such a great event.
- 11:57Sean McAllister: You could tell the couples had a really wonderful time at this massive vow renewal Celebration of Las Vegas is the wedding capital of the world and, by the way, lynn Goya, who is the Clark County clerk who oversees the marriage license bureau, she makes sure that Las Vegas is going to stay the wedding capital of the world.
- 12:20Sean McAllister: And how does she do that?
- 12:21Sean McAllister: Well, the marriage license bureau is open seven days a week, from 8 am To midnight, even on holidays, and there's no waiting period.
- 12:31Sean McAllister: You can go in, get your license, go straight to a chapel, get married and then go home.
- 12:36Dayna Roselli: I know it's nice and easy.
- 12:37Dayna Roselli: You know convenience is everything right, especially if you want to get married on a whim.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: I know a lot of people who come here and just that night they're like you know what, let's go get married.
- 12:47Sean McAllister: Why not why?
- 12:48Dayna Roselli: not, I love it All right.
- 12:50Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, something we are also famous for is we talked a little bit about it Elvis Presley.
- 12:55Dayna Roselli: He, just when you think of Elvis, you do think Vegas.
- 12:57Dayna Roselli: He had a great run here at the international hotel which was then, or the Hilton right, which is now the Westgate, and when he performed there he lived inside the suite which is called the Elvis Presley suite now.
- 13:11Sean McAllister: Yeah, and it's the, the penthouse, the top floor over there at the Westgate, and it's one of these skyvillas that is now a part of this themed collection of suites that the Westgate is rolling out.
- 13:25Sean McAllister: This one is the Marcus Clinko I can sky villa.
- 13:31Dayna Roselli: Sweet yeah, and it's full of Marcus clink goes photography.
- 13:34Dayna Roselli: He has some incredible celebrity pictures through the years, some iconic moments, and that's why they call it the icons villa.
- 13:41Dayna Roselli: We were able to tour around and also talk to Marcus about what he's done, marcus.
- 13:46Sean McAllister: we've been emailing and finally we're here to see what you put together.
- 13:51Sean McAllister: At the West gate is this one of the more unique A displays of your art outside of a traditional gallery setting?
- 14:01Markus Klinko: completely.
- 14:01Markus Klinko: I mean this is, you know, unheard of.
- 14:03Markus Klinko: I think Show to Damien Hurst that the palms, you know, I think this has never been done In the.
- 14:10Markus Klinko: I think in the world of photography this has never been done.
- 14:12Markus Klinko: This is obviously, you know, absolutely unprecedented, because it's the Elvis suite number one, number two, it's over 50 works, they're all oversized XL, you know, one of one, gold editions.
- 14:27Markus Klinko: So a little bit in my, in my head, the concept, like the rock and roll hall of fame, this should be these pop culture, you know, celebrity hall of fame.
- 14:39Markus Klinko: And I want to, number one, add more sweets with, you know, other themes, like it's going to be a new sweet, there's going to be maybe a Vega star sweet, which is, you know, maybe magicians and Tigers and you know all that stuff.
- 14:55Markus Klinko: And of course, I want to photograph very man alone.
- 15:01Markus Klinko: You know he should be obviously in here, so new and other celebrities will be inducted into this environment.
- 15:09Markus Klinko: That's sort of the plan, you know, as soon as possible and just keep growing.
- 15:14Markus Klinko: Just, I'm so in love with how it came out I could not have possibly anticipated it.
- 15:20Sean McAllister: And as we were walking over here, you were saying you were seeing some of these for the very first time, that with the diamond dust it's perfect.
- 15:29Markus Klinko: you know, I either when I see something, it's either perfect or it needs work, and I think every celebrity in this room I mean in this, in this sky villa Would be quite happy to be associated or affiliated with the legacy of Elvis, right?
- 15:45Markus Klinko: So, yeah, I feel incredibly excited, you know.
- 15:50Dayna Roselli: And even with the recent movie, I feel like people have learned more about even the current generation is learn more about what we call a residency here in Las Vegas, where you are a regular performer, and it was a big, big deal.
- 16:03Dayna Roselli: So I have to ask, because I know you gotta go have you felt the presence of Elvis?
- 16:09Markus Klinko: yes, yes first of all, you know this is.
- 16:11Markus Klinko: This event is hosted by the queen of Versailles, jackie Segal.
- 16:14Markus Klinko: She's here, she's beautiful.
- 16:16Markus Klinko: I will photograph her for a project very soon.
- 16:19Markus Klinko: And you know, as soon as I met her this afternoon for the first time in person, I said can we please call Priscilla, because why not?
- 16:29Markus Klinko: She supported that movie a lot.
- 16:31Markus Klinko: Right she was.
- 16:31Markus Klinko: I saw her being really excited about it and I would just love to photograph Priscilla, maybe here or somewhere.
- 16:39Markus Klinko: And you know, just some somehow connect to Elvis a little bit more.
- 16:44Markus Klinko: So do I feel the presence?
- 16:46Sean McAllister: yes, Well, certainly it sounds like it's a full circle moment being here, having your work in the Elvis suite.
- 16:53Sean McAllister: Congratulations, and I'm glad it's not going anywhere.
- 16:56Markus Klinko: Yes, and I want the world to see it.
- 16:58Markus Klinko: You know I want to have everyone.
- 17:01Markus Klinko: I know it's a private suite and it's very expensive to stay here, but I want, I want to be more than that.
- 17:08Markus Klinko: I think it's it's.
- 17:10Markus Klinko: It's fair that the world could possibly see it, because it's about inspiring and, you know, elevating and give people something fun after after COVID and all the divisions in our country and all that, it's kind of nice to see beauty and as a society we kind of worship celebrity, right.
- 17:29Markus Klinko: So it's also sort of like social commentary, my sort of my artist statement.
- 17:34Markus Klinko: I'm not judging it, I'm not saying it's good or it's bad, but it's a fact.
- 17:38Markus Klinko: Kim Kardashian is our goddess, right, and so, or Beyonce or you know, and so it's kind of a commentary to that and everyone can make their own decisions.
- 17:50Dayna Roselli: And all of them have spent plenty of time in Vegas.
- 17:51Dayna Roselli: So Well, you know, and they will thank you.
- 17:56Dayna Roselli: Marcus, so much appreciate your time.
- 17:58Markus Klinko: Thank you, thank you guys post for Supporting.
- 18:03Sean McAllister: Let's talk about some other icons.
- 18:04Sean McAllister: A country icon, carry underwood.
- 18:07Sean McAllister: She's coming back To a reflection residency over at resorts world.
- 18:12Sean McAllister: Her shows are September twenty second through the thirtieth.
- 18:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that'll be good to see Carrie back here and you know we talked to her recently when she did her big return to resorts world and I know she's loving it.
- 18:24Dayna Roselli: She puts on a fabulous show.
- 18:26Dayna Roselli: Hey, luke Bryant, he does have a show.
- 18:28Dayna Roselli: September ninth depends when you're listening to this over at resorts world theater and he did, I think, last weekend to for Labor Day.
- 18:35Dayna Roselli: But here's the deal he's back again in December and then in early January, but that's his final run over at the resorts world theater.
- 18:43Dayna Roselli: Fabulous show, so much energy much fun.
- 18:45Dayna Roselli: I was looking at the clips on my phone that we got when we went to the show and I was like man, he just works that room, so not to be missed, if, even if you don't know, luke, brian, music, go anyway it's fun, good show.
- 18:57Sean McAllister: I mean he just likes to bring the party is what like to do you know we were talking about last week concert etiquette.
- 19:03Dayna Roselli: I mean, if you don't stand, it is show something is wrong with that is very true.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: Also get some good laughs with taylor tomlinson.
- 19:10Dayna Roselli: She's gonna be over at the win last vegas, september fourteenth and fifteen.
- 19:14Dayna Roselli: Very funny comedian.
- 19:16Dayna Roselli: If you are on tiktok you probably see a lot of her bits go viral, really hilarious.
- 19:21Dayna Roselli: Nice to see her over at the win as well.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: They always get so many good comedians in there, so we're happy about that.
- 19:28Dayna Roselli: Bobby bones, is that the virgin theater to not virgin theater?
- 19:32Dayna Roselli: It's called the theater at virgin.
- 19:35Dayna Roselli: But that's this weekend, so depends when you're listening.
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: You might have missed bobby, but also very funny alright, let's do some tips.
- 19:40Dayna Roselli: Alright, for our tip segment.
- 19:46Dayna Roselli: We have a couple of strip recommendations.
- 19:48Dayna Roselli: We know you love that and when I was talking earlier about the storm and I told you I was leaving timvally village and I had to get shelter, right at a hotel casino nearby.
- 19:58Dayna Roselli: I was leaving a happy hour.
- 20:00Dayna Roselli: Oh yeah, it was a happy a friday and one of my friends she didn't have her kids that night, so we thought, well, I don't really want to go out, but I want to go to something early and, like, be home early right so we're like, hey, I usually do like happy hour, let's go to happy hour.
- 20:14Dayna Roselli: so we google what's the best happy hour and you know, I know spots near me, but she lives up north so we want to meet in the middle.
- 20:19Dayna Roselli: So we met at tivoli village, at a place called that we've actually talked about before Also leto posto, I wanted to say it right and in the bar area every day they have a happy hour from four to six on it was great.
- 20:31Dayna Roselli: It's a great restaurant.

- 20:53Dayna Roselli: I know you like a good I p a sure do so they have I p a and ciders and all that kind of thing, and then they also have wine.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: I think it was like nine bucks for a glass of wine and then some pricing for some of the food items.
- 21:06Dayna Roselli: I think we spent sixty two dollars.
- 21:08Dayna Roselli: We had four drinks to each and I had a coffee, and then we had the meatballs and the barata, and then the whole thing came to sixty two bucks.
