- 0:04Speaker 2: More Mark.
- 0:07Speaker 1: 710WOR.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Well, hey, some sad news. Marion Scotto has passed away.
- 0:13Speaker 2: She's the mother of Rosanna Scotto. And if you've been
- 0:16Speaker 2: to their great restaurant, Fresco, on 52nd Street, Fresco, that
- 0:21Speaker 2: was always Marion Scotto sitting there at the front at
- 0:24Speaker 2: the desk when you walked in. Passed away. It's a
- 0:26Speaker 2: wonderful woman. Let's take some calls. Let's go to Stuart
- 0:31Speaker 2: in South Carolina. Stuart, how are you doing?
- 0:34Speaker 1: Hey, Mark, how are you? You know, yesterday in that
- 0:36Speaker 1: election with Darlene Graham Norton, she's not Darlene Graham, we
- 0:42Speaker 1: had 12.5% participation, basically. Norman took the upper part of
- 0:50Speaker 1: the state, and Graham took the rest of the state.
- 0:53Speaker 1: South Carolina is solidly a Trump state, and This election
- 0:58Speaker 1: was basically emotional, I believe. You know, she's going to win,
- 1:03Speaker 1: so we're going to have another one for six years
- 1:06Speaker 1: with Graham. You know, I'm just hoping for the best.
- 1:09Speaker 1: If you had seen the debate, I mean, she did
- 1:13Speaker 1: really poorly.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but what was so great about that Ralph Norman?
- 1:17Speaker 1: You know, it wasn't—I didn't vote for Norman before. For Norman,
- 1:22Speaker 1: I voted for Norman because I didn't want Graham in
- 1:24Speaker 1: there because she basically has no experience. She doesn't, like
- 1:28Speaker 1: I said, with the debate, it was just awful. It
- 1:31Speaker 1: was awful. So putting her in there was basically an
- 1:34Speaker 1: emotional decision on the part of many people.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know, I'll have to remember, when you
- 1:40Speaker 2: talk to these longtime senators, whether it's Schumer, whether it's
- 1:43Speaker 2: Hakeem Jeffries, when it comes to foreign policy or any
- 1:46Speaker 2: of these things, they don't know anything either. I mean,
- 1:48Speaker 2: they sound better and they talk like they do. But
- 1:50Speaker 2: they don't know a damn thing about anything.
- 1:53Speaker 1: You know, the one thing, we don't have 50 million
- 1:55Speaker 1: people in South Carolina. We have 5 million people. It's just,
- 1:59Speaker 1: if you know South Carolina politics, Mark, we had actually
- 2:02Speaker 1: been trying to get rid of Graham for a couple
- 2:04Speaker 1: of decades. And he would do things that were fantastic. Absolutely. Now,
- 2:08Speaker 1: during Trump time, he's been great with the Kavanaugh hearings.
- 2:11Speaker 1: He was absolutely fantastic. But there's so many things he
- 2:14Speaker 1: did that would just infuriated us. And I'm just thinking,
- 2:18Speaker 1: here we go again. You know, is she going to
- 2:20Speaker 1: vote for Democrat judges?
- 2:22Speaker 2: Actually, people that know both of them well say that
- 2:26Speaker 2: the good news is Darlene Graham is a rock solid conservative.
- 2:29Speaker 2: She'll vote correctly on everything. Unlike Lindsey Graham, who, as
- 2:32Speaker 2: you say, could make some left turns now.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Well, if that is true, Mark, I will support her
- 2:37Speaker 1: 100 percent. I absolutely will. So I'm just really hoping
- 2:42Speaker 1: for the best. So, I mean, she's going to solidly
- 2:44Speaker 1: win in this state. We are still a red state,
- 2:46Speaker 1: and we are still solidly Trump. So she's going to
- 2:48Speaker 1: do well.
- 2:49Speaker 2: All right. Well, you'll be happy. Stuart, thanks for calling.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Great call. Let's go to Kay in Manhattan. Kay, how
- 2:56Speaker 2: are you doing?
- 2:58Speaker 4: Hello, Mark. I'm doing well. Thank you. I'd like to
- 3:01Speaker 4: talk about this Abdul El-Sayed. I was very disturbed by
- 3:10Speaker 4: the interview he had with Jesse Waters because I felt
- 3:14Speaker 4: people came away with it with kind of a ha-ha attitude.
- 3:18Speaker 4: And he asked Jesse about, I mean, I think the
- 3:22Speaker 4: name is Snake. I think he's really dangerous. And I mean,
- 3:30Speaker 4: it's just evil to support castration of children. and then
- 3:35Speaker 4: compare it to circumcision.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I know, that was the stupidest thing. He claimed circumcision
- 3:41Speaker 2: was the same thing as gender-altering surgery. Circumcision is like
- 3:45Speaker 2: a manicure as opposed to amputation. There's a big difference,
- 3:48Speaker 2: but you're right. He is just awful. I don't think
- 3:52Speaker 2: he'll win, Kay. Don't worry. Don't worry. He's not going
- 3:55Speaker 2: to win. Michigan won't vote for him.
- 3:58Speaker 4: I hope not. His thing about comparing... uh sharia law
- 4:02Speaker 4: it's a canon law in the church in the catholic.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Church that's nuts well they're all nuts these socialists that's
- 4:09Speaker 2: what they believe don't worry hey i'm from michigan i'm
- 4:12Speaker 2: telling you he will not win michigan he'll win dearborn
- 4:15Speaker 2: he'll win ann arbor that's it he won't win the
- 4:17Speaker 2: rest of michigan don't worry okay thanks for calling uh
- 4:21Speaker 2: let's go to let's go to vincent in brooklyn vincent
- 4:24Speaker 2: how you doing Good.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Morning, Mark. Mark, I'm okay. Mark, yesterday you were spot
- 4:29Speaker 3: on when you mentioned the fact with Bill O'Reilly that
- 4:32Speaker 3: Kathy Hochul gave the Public Service Commission, which she has
- 4:38Speaker 3: all her cronies on there, and they green-lighted 12 rate
- 4:42Speaker 3: increases for Con Edison. In the past, because I get
- 4:48Speaker 3: the property... I get the class of buildings and the
- 4:53Speaker 3: property taxes that they're going to have, like commercial real estate, corporations,
- 4:59Speaker 3: it's usually 12% a year. So I was saying to myself,
- 5:03Speaker 3: how does the corporations and the utility companies... justify these
- 5:11Speaker 3: rate increases. Well, I didn't realize what you said yesterday.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Kathy Hochul raises the property taxes on all these corporations
- 5:21Speaker 3: like the utility companies, but then with a wink at
- 5:24Speaker 3: a nod, she says, don't worry about it. You're going
- 5:26Speaker 3: to make the deficit up because I'm going to give
- 5:29Speaker 3: you 12 rate hikes during the course of my tenure. Yeah.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Now, when it comes to increasing your electric bill, let's
- 5:35Speaker 2: give Andrew Cuomo the credit he deserves. He closed Indian Point.
- 5:39Speaker 2: That drove everybody's electric bill through the roof.
- 5:44Speaker 3: But you really made it clear yesterday because it took
- 5:49Speaker 3: me a while. I said to myself, because every year
- 5:52Speaker 3: the Department of Finance sends you the building classes and
- 5:57Speaker 3: what their property tax rates are going to be. And
- 6:01Speaker 3: you look at the utility companies, it's usually like 12%.
- 6:05Speaker 3: And I said to myself, oh, that's why our bills
- 6:08Speaker 3: are going up. Little did I know it was a
- 6:10Speaker 3: wink and a nod between the Public Service Commission, Kathy Hochul,
- 6:14Speaker 3: and the utility companies.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Yeah, she's not good. And any issue, she stinks on
- 6:20Speaker 2: every single issue.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Growth rate increases.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Yeah. All right. Well, great, great call. Thanks for calling, Vincent.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Take care. When we come back, Ann Coulter will be
- 6:29Speaker 2: with us next. Lots to talk to her about, and
- 6:32Speaker 2: we'll get to that in just a moment. Mark Simone
- 6:34Speaker 2: here at 9 to noon now every morning on 710WOR.
