- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a Bramble Jam podcast this week on your
- 0:13Speaker 1: gabble Gabble.
- 0:14Speaker 2: If you break your friend's TV during a ping pong match,
- 0:16Speaker 2: you gotta pay up?
- 0:17Speaker 1: Or does he know you for his liquor? And if
- 0:20Speaker 1: you who tells us judge? And if you go to
- 0:23Speaker 1: your neighbor's house to help her get her cat out
- 0:26Speaker 1: of the tree and you fall down, can you a sewer?
- 0:30Speaker 1: Just Gina tells us real people?
- 0:32Speaker 3: Just hello, all right, all right, sit down, let's oh
- 0:41Speaker 3: my gosh, you learn how to do that?
- 0:43Speaker 1: I just a little something that's crazy man on the streets,
- 0:47Speaker 1: on the streets. When did you do that? Hard the streets?
- 0:50Speaker 1: Is school? Hard knucks? Like over a period of time? Yeah,
- 0:54Speaker 1: that one day? One day I would go.
- 0:56Speaker 2: I go out on the streets probably every day just
- 0:59Speaker 2: to get you give my, give my fifteen minutes.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Every you go out of those streets for fifteen minutes
- 1:03Speaker 1: every day. You learn how to dance? It got me
- 1:07Speaker 1: so far, but like that's one of my better moves.
- 1:10Speaker 1: That's really cool. That's crazy. Every day. Yeah, how long
- 1:15Speaker 1: did it take you, like for that move in particular,
- 1:18Speaker 1: Like how long did you Joe? That's to learn something?
- 1:19Speaker 1: I learned from Little Goosey. All right, we are back
- 1:24Speaker 1: Yo Gabble Gabble, very excited for today's show, Gino Ross.
- 1:30Speaker 1: A wonderful combination of judges, a couple of our favorites.
- 1:35Speaker 1: One of these judges we typically like, yes the verdict,
- 1:39Speaker 1: the other one will making us angry, but they're always
- 1:42Speaker 1: fun to talk about. And if this is your first
- 1:44Speaker 1: time joining us over on the Yo Gabble Gabble Feed,
- 1:47Speaker 1: happy twenty twenty six to you. Hopefully you're doing well
- 1:50Speaker 1: and you're healthy. That's right. Uh, you could have heard
- 1:54Speaker 1: this two years ago in the Bramble Gym plus feed.
- 1:55Speaker 1: That's right. But the show is very simple. Dan's going
- 1:58Speaker 1: to explain a court case from Judge Ross to me.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna try to guess the verdict, and then I'm
- 2:03Speaker 1: gonna do the exact same thing for my good friend Dan,
- 2:05Speaker 1: and Dan's gonna guess the verdict and then we're gonna
- 2:07Speaker 1: call it a day and we're gonna go down on
- 2:08Speaker 1: the street and we're gonna learn to dance. I'm back
- 2:10Speaker 1: in the street, Dan. I'd love for you to go
- 2:12Speaker 1: for Oh my gosh, what all happens there?
- 2:16Speaker 2: Uh? Judge Ross's court room, and you know, I know it.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna I'm gonna get you though. You know justice.
- 2:21Speaker 2: He doesn't want justice to be some foreign concept he
- 2:23Speaker 2: does in this episode, he added. He adds to this, Oh,
- 2:28Speaker 2: he says, and I've never heard him say this. Are
- 2:31Speaker 2: you ready? Don't take a sip of water because you'll
- 2:33Speaker 2: spit everywhere. Okay, I don't want you to understand. I
- 2:37Speaker 2: want you to overstand. No, he does not say overstand.
- 2:43Speaker 2: He says, I don't want you to understand. I want
- 2:47Speaker 2: you to overstands.
- 2:51Speaker 1: That's awesome. It's so cool, as cool as my dance.
- 2:55Speaker 1: This episode feel newer, it did, Okay, I don't want
- 2:58Speaker 1: you to understand the new cameras did they make it
- 3:01Speaker 1: finally seem like it's within the past decade? I think so,
- 3:04Speaker 1: I want you to overstand.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Mickey Mallick is suing Joshua Mickey male like Mickey Mouse
- 3:14Speaker 2: suing Donald Dust suing Joshua Stein's for seven hundred ninety
- 3:19Speaker 2: dollars and thirty four cents. Stein's counter suing for sixty
- 3:22Speaker 2: five bucks. Mickey said, no, we'll get there, don't worry.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Mickey says, well, my friend over here, my ex friend
- 3:32Speaker 2: decided to break my TV. Ross is like, did he
- 3:34Speaker 2: do it intentionally? Micky's like, yeah, it's jealous. Ross is like,
- 3:39Speaker 2: Joshua jealous. He's like, well, we both work in sales
- 3:42Speaker 2: and that's competitive, and I have a daughter and a
- 3:45Speaker 2: supervisor position and our job that we both work at
- 3:48Speaker 2: it opened up, and I knew about it because they
- 3:51Speaker 2: asked me to apply. Nobody else knew about it. I
- 3:54Speaker 2: told Mickey that I was going to apply for that position.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Now it's important to me because I want to make
- 3:59Speaker 2: more money because I want to take my daughter's mom
- 4:01Speaker 2: to court and win full custody over her. I never
- 4:05Speaker 2: see that club, but you know what, join the club
- 4:09Speaker 2: and it never comes back. He decides to throw in
- 4:14Speaker 2: that nugget and it never comes back. But yes, so
- 4:18Speaker 2: he goes Nicky, takes the information, goes behind my back,
- 4:21Speaker 2: applies for the position, and stole the job from Mickey.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Ross is like, did you hear about this position from
- 4:26Speaker 2: josh Be honest? Micky's like, yes, I did, and Ross
- 4:29Speaker 2: is like, so some of this is true, Like you
- 4:31Speaker 2: did him wrong, Nicky.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Did you know that he was trying to sue his
- 4:35Speaker 1: ex wife and get full cussy the other.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Daughter, or we didn't get that, you know that. Micky's like, yeah,
- 4:39Speaker 2: I understand that you're on her. I understand that, but
- 4:41Speaker 2: like we're still we're still friends or whatever. He's like,
- 4:45Speaker 2: but stop for a second. You understand how he could
- 4:49Speaker 2: feel betrayed. Do you overstand though? Do you overstand? Micky's like, yeah,
- 4:54Speaker 2: I understand that, and he's like, but I just wanted
- 4:56Speaker 2: to still be friends. So he's like, I'm I had
- 4:59Speaker 2: a birthday party. I was turning thirty years old, and
- 5:02Speaker 2: I just think he had brought some of that jealousy
- 5:04Speaker 2: to the party because we're playing ping pong and we
- 5:06Speaker 2: have a long history of ping pong, Like our ping
- 5:09Speaker 2: pong matches are like legendary, and we play a lot
- 5:12Speaker 2: of games and who every wins the most games wins
- 5:14Speaker 2: and they're super competitive. The last time we played, I won,
- 5:17Speaker 2: and so I don't know if it was the job
- 5:20Speaker 2: or that he he lost last time, but he had
- 5:22Speaker 2: some extra something with him when he was juice.
- 5:25Speaker 1: That's right.
- 5:26Speaker 2: He was very very like into it, and I could
- 5:29Speaker 2: see it. I could see it in his eyes. Ross
- 5:32Speaker 2: is like, is that true? Josh says, I'm a probably
- 5:37Speaker 2: I'm a few years. I'm a few years older than Mickey,
- 5:39Speaker 2: and he's always trying to prove he's better than me,
- 5:42Speaker 2: and he takes every opportunity to one up me or
- 5:44Speaker 2: put me down, and it just it just started to
- 5:47Speaker 2: bother me.
- 5:47Speaker 1: And Ross says, well, why are you still friends with
- 5:49Speaker 1: this guy? Yeah, he stole your job.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 1: He's like, well, I want to keep the poker group together.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Now there's a poker group. I get that. There's eight
- 5:56Speaker 1: guys that played poker together and they're really tight.
- 5:58Speaker 2: And he's like, I didn't want to break up the
- 5:59Speaker 2: poker group, and so what's the What's that it's to
- 6:02Speaker 2: do with your case?
- 6:02Speaker 1: Is what Ross says. Well, when he wanted to.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Throw a thirtieth birthday party, Mickey asked that we buy
- 6:08Speaker 2: the supplies for the party.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Eight of us.
- 6:12Speaker 2: We're gonna buy for like alcohol and whatnot for thirty people.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Wow, right, thirty people.
- 6:19Speaker 2: So I bought sixty five dollars worth of liquor and
- 6:22Speaker 2: brought it with me. I got it. That's there's the number.
- 6:25Speaker 2: So and Mick he was like, yeah, I said I'd
- 6:29Speaker 2: pitch in if they needed me to. Like I said that,
- 6:31Speaker 2: And Ross is like did he? And Josh said, yeah,
- 6:33Speaker 2: he did, but he didn't pitch in with it. He's like, so,
- 6:34Speaker 2: I brought six five dollars with a liquor, and as
- 6:37Speaker 2: soon as I walk in the door, he's insistent on
- 6:39Speaker 2: playing ping pong. And because we had a party, he
- 6:43Speaker 2: moved the ping pong table directly in front of his
- 6:46Speaker 2: new TV, like he had just bought this TV for
- 6:49Speaker 2: the party. I just don't understand why you would move
- 6:52Speaker 2: it there.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Well, it's kind of like rubbing his new job that
- 6:56Speaker 1: needs to me.
- 6:57Speaker 2: And so then he delivers what Josh describes as a
- 6:59Speaker 2: very agreat subserve to me, and I lunged to hit
- 7:03Speaker 2: the ball. I lost my footing I crashed into the TV.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Who crashing Josh? Josh crashed into his own to Mickey's TV,
- 7:13Speaker 2: and and Ross was like, Okay, do you think that
- 7:16Speaker 2: you should be reimbursed for that?
- 7:17Speaker 1: Mickey?
- 7:18Speaker 2: I guess is what you're saying. Mickey's like, yeah, I
- 7:19Speaker 2: got the receipt. He brings a receipt up, he sees
- 7:21Speaker 2: the TV. He's like, it's a really nice TV to
- 7:22Speaker 2: have right next to your ping pong table. Mickey's like, yeah,
- 7:25Speaker 2: but I didn't think anybody would like fall over and
- 7:26Speaker 2: hit it. Josh was like, so h So. Ross was like, so,
- 7:30Speaker 2: tell me about this sixty five dollars.
- 7:32Speaker 1: He's like.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Mickey's like, I didn't care about the sixty five dollars.
- 7:35Speaker 2: He didn't tell me until like two days ago. Josh
- 7:38Speaker 2: was like, as soon as he told me he was
- 7:40Speaker 2: suing me for a TV at his house that he'd
- 7:44Speaker 2: bought for this party that he put right by the
- 7:46Speaker 2: ping pong table. I realized I wasn't going to court
- 7:48Speaker 2: empty handed. So if he's gonna assume me say empty handy,
- 7:52Speaker 2: empty handed, sorry, I was handed. This is peanut wine.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Then so I decided, well, then I bought something for
- 8:03Speaker 2: this party too. I bought the liquor sixty five bucks.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Here's a receipt for that. I'm not if you're gonna
- 8:08Speaker 2: be petty, I'm gonna be petty. Judge Ross ready to
- 8:12Speaker 2: rule I throw this case out. Personally, I think that
- 8:16Speaker 2: there is a bit of.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Had he knocked over the TV at the party because
- 8:25Speaker 1: he drank too much. That'd be one thing. He knocked
- 8:28Speaker 1: over the TV after Mickey emphatically asked him to play
- 8:35Speaker 1: ping pong on the table that Mickey put right next
- 8:38Speaker 1: to his new TV. I think that that is on him.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I think when you decide I'm gonna put my ping
- 8:45Speaker 1: pong table right next to my TV, there's some risk
- 8:48Speaker 1: that you are saying, I am okay with that, with
- 8:51Speaker 1: whatever happens here, and so I'm not gonna give him money.
- 8:55Speaker 1: And then for that reason, also let's just throw it
- 8:58Speaker 1: all that we don't You're not getting no one's getting money.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Maybe just don't be friends anymore. Maybe it's time to
- 9:03Speaker 1: split up. The poke gerup.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Ross flips it reverses. He says, hey, you broke it,
- 9:09Speaker 2: you buy it. This is not a case where the
- 9:13Speaker 2: circumstances surrounding the breaking where we disagree. Joshu admitted you
- 9:18Speaker 2: broke the TV. You broke the TV. You gotta buy
- 9:22Speaker 2: the TV. Now is the TV where seven hundred nine
- 9:24Speaker 2: and thirty four dollars. As soon as you take it
- 9:25Speaker 2: home and unbox it, it depreciates. I'm gonna value that
- 9:28Speaker 2: TV at seven hundred bucks. You just bought it seven
- 9:31Speaker 2: hundred bucks. But I'm giving your sixty five dollars back.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I'm giving your sixty five dollars. So judgment for Mickey
- 9:38Speaker 2: Mallick in favor of six hundred and thirty five.
- 9:41Speaker 1: By I don't know what do you think about that.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I was fine with it because he did admit that
- 9:45Speaker 2: he broke the TV. But I'm more in line with you.
- 9:48Speaker 2: This is petty. It's clearly petty. Y'all need to either
- 9:50Speaker 2: not be friends or get over it, basically, and.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Also don't put your ping pong table right next to
- 9:54Speaker 1: the TV.
- 9:54Speaker 2: And they also both just fully admit to doing bad like, yeah, no,
- 9:58Speaker 2: I was jealous when I came over.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I shouldn't have taken the job. Like it's just
- 10:02Speaker 1: like two people who are like, what are you doing? Guys?
- 10:04Speaker 1: Get it together? Yeah, yeah, I'll say a judge Gino's
- 10:07Speaker 1: Court for Personal Injury Court always say good time. Also
- 10:11Speaker 1: always infuriating Clayton heps is suing Lucy Henderson. I believe
- 10:19Speaker 1: thirty thousand for past medical, sixty thousand for future medical,
- 10:24Speaker 1: and one hundred and fifty thousand dollars for pain and
- 10:26Speaker 1: suffering for a total of I wasn't listening sixty plus thirty.
- 10:31Speaker 1: That's ninety plus yes, sir, two and forty K. Clayton
- 10:39Speaker 1: moved into his dream house three years ago. It's a
- 10:43Speaker 1: beautiful neighborhood. It's got a pool neighborhood. That's right, it's
- 10:47Speaker 1: got a pool in the backyard. He likes to throw
- 10:50Speaker 1: some parties sometimes have some friends over. You get it, Dan,
- 10:54Speaker 1: I get it. But he also cares deeply for his neighbors,
- 10:58Speaker 1: including his next door neighbor Lucy, who he considers elderly.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I don't know if i'd go that far. I think
- 11:05Speaker 1: that she's uh probably just looking at her fifties would
- 11:11Speaker 1: be my guest fifties, maybe early sixties. I don't know
- 11:13Speaker 1: if I would consider that elderly. But yeah, okay, she
- 11:16Speaker 1: takes offense to it, and I think she maybe has
- 11:19Speaker 1: a right to. Lucy is a widow though she is
- 11:22Speaker 1: nine cats, so maybe that's where the elderly once you
- 11:26Speaker 1: get nine, once you get above three or four. Yeah. Uh.
- 11:29Speaker 1: She starts rattling off their names, including one named Pooh Pooh.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Uh so, what can you do? It's poopoo, it's pooh pooh.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Uh So. Lucy one day calls Clayton over and says,
- 11:41Speaker 1: Sophie's up in the tree. It's Sophie's up, Sophie's choice,
- 11:45Speaker 1: and uh, could you come and help? You're you know
- 11:48Speaker 1: you're you're you're tall. And there is another reason why
- 11:52Speaker 1: she invites him over, and it is because he actually
- 11:56Speaker 1: works on ladders for his job. He had does like
- 12:00Speaker 1: telephone pole stuff, so he's like comfortable with ladders. Also,
- 12:05Speaker 1: a young a young fella, maybe come over here, see
- 12:08Speaker 1: what you can do. And as he gets towards the top,
- 12:11Speaker 1: he says that Sophie runs further up the tree, and
- 12:15Speaker 1: so he claims that Lucy begins to start chucking treats
- 12:19Speaker 1: up in the air, hoping that Sophie would come at
- 12:25Speaker 1: one of those those treats come off the tree there
- 12:29Speaker 1: and as he's reaching out, the cat jumps, jumps branches,
- 12:34Speaker 1: and suddenly the branch that the cat was on falls down.
- 12:38Speaker 1: The cat falls towards Clayton, which causes him to fall
- 12:41Speaker 1: on his back on the ground. He fell ten to
- 12:45Speaker 1: twelve feet. Okay, Lucy says, I wasn't throwing any treats. Also,
- 12:51Speaker 1: I called Clayton up, hoping that he would just go
- 12:55Speaker 1: up a few steps hold the treat and she'd come down.
- 12:58Speaker 1: He took it into his own hand to climb all
- 13:01Speaker 1: the way up the ladder and start climbing the property.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Save my cat, though, yes, Clayton is like, Uh, if
- 13:09Speaker 1: you know how to do it perfectly, why don't you
- 13:11Speaker 1: just do it? Coach? The crowd collapsed at this. Lucy says,
- 13:17Speaker 1: I told him not to climb up that high. Every
- 13:19Speaker 1: time he kept getting higher and higher would be like
- 13:21Speaker 1: you're too high or too high? No, no, and she says,
- 13:24Speaker 1: I think he actually has a hidden agenda. We'll get
- 13:26Speaker 1: to that agenda in just a minute. Oh boy. She
- 13:29Speaker 1: says that he got way too high, started shaking the
- 13:32Speaker 1: limb and that scared the cat, which caused the cat
- 13:36Speaker 1: to fall on him. Clayton then goes to the plasma
- 13:40Speaker 1: then yeah, thank god, and shows an illustration of what
- 13:43Speaker 1: actually happens. It's a fun illustration. It's a little animated
- 13:47Speaker 1: tree cat just hops over. It's basically what you are
- 13:50Speaker 1: imagining it is. We got it now. Clayton, Uh, he
- 13:56Speaker 1: does the ladders for a living. He works in telephoe
- 13:57Speaker 1: poles and explains that at work he has a harness on.
- 14:01Speaker 1: But I wasn't at work. I was on her property
- 14:03Speaker 1: trying to help her out. So just because I work
- 14:06Speaker 1: on ladders doesn't mean that I'm any less susceptible to falling.
- 14:12Speaker 1: You know it doesn't mean I can still fall. Lucy says, Listen,
- 14:16Speaker 1: he took it upon himself to go up that high.
- 14:19Speaker 1: One because he does it for a job. He's comfortable
- 14:22Speaker 1: in high places. I didn't want him to go that high.
- 14:24Speaker 1: And two, it's not my fault that he decided to
- 14:27Speaker 1: climb too high. I asked him not to. So the
- 14:29Speaker 1: injuries are this broken rip, spray neck, two herniated disks. Naturally,
- 14:34Speaker 1: that's not enough for Gino to fully get the picture,
- 14:37Speaker 1: so he brings in a chiropractor. Of course, he does,
- 14:39Speaker 1: brings the chiropractor who explains that does I just mind
- 14:44Speaker 1: that those that those injuries are bad? Yeah? So cool,
- 14:50Speaker 1: So there you go. Yeah, so okay, you might be
- 14:53Speaker 1: wondering hidden agenda, hidden agenda, Yeah at Lisa has a twist.
- 14:59Speaker 1: There has twist. This is this Clayton only agreed to
- 15:03Speaker 1: do this because he wanted to tear down the tree
- 15:08Speaker 1: limb on my tree that was hanging over his pull
- 15:13Speaker 1: and dropping leaves. We have this problem because you have
- 15:16Speaker 1: a tree in your yard. It hangs over my arm.
- 15:18Speaker 1: I thought this might have hit a little bit close
- 15:20Speaker 1: to home. So he says that he would She says
- 15:25Speaker 1: that he would be come over, come over and help
- 15:28Speaker 1: with the cat. But his main objective was to get
- 15:31Speaker 1: that branch. That's the branch that he's pulling on. Did
- 15:35Speaker 1: he say this or does she think this? Clayton says
- 15:38Speaker 1: this is true. He admits that he was trying to
- 15:42Speaker 1: hang on a branch. She said that, you know, it
- 15:45Speaker 1: was one of the benefits. Listen, he says, I didn't
- 15:48Speaker 1: like this limb. We see a picture of the pool.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Lots of leaves in this pool. He says that he's
- 15:55Speaker 1: tried to get her multiple times to help with paying
- 15:57Speaker 1: to clean the pool. She doesn't do it. He didn't
- 15:59Speaker 1: bring us all up there. She says no, no to that.
- 16:03Speaker 1: He uh, He's asked to cut it, and she says, no,
- 16:07Speaker 1: I don't want to cut that left. He can cut
- 16:09Speaker 1: it anyway. And so yes, while I was up there,
- 16:13Speaker 1: I go over there, I climb up. I decide, might
- 16:15Speaker 1: as well kill two birds with one stone here, and
- 16:18Speaker 1: I begin to yank on that branch because the cat
- 16:21Speaker 1: one was the cat was on. It would get the
- 16:23Speaker 1: cat down in two Maybe the branch would come down
- 16:26Speaker 1: two save to save today there GINO ready to rule.
- 16:32Speaker 2: So I just need one piece of clarification. When he fell.
- 16:37Speaker 2: He's on the ladder and the cat is falling on him,
- 16:41Speaker 2: or he's two hands on the branch, which is it.
- 16:45Speaker 1: He had climbed the tree, so he's in the tree.
- 16:48Speaker 1: He was in the tree and he beans to shake
- 16:51Speaker 1: this branch, the branch that he's shaking, look at the cat,
- 16:54Speaker 1: but also to pull pull down the branch. But in
- 16:57Speaker 1: the shaking the cat comes. I'm fineg on if the
- 17:00Speaker 1: branch also came with him his play. How do you
- 17:03Speaker 1: a branch that has that many leaves is so big.
- 17:06Speaker 1: He's not hanging on it, He's on.
- 17:07Speaker 2: The trunk of the tree, right my understanding. Yeah, that's
- 17:12Speaker 2: stupid that that is a twist. And for that, I
- 17:15Speaker 2: don't think he should get any money. Gino, I believe
- 17:21Speaker 2: gets this one right, okay, and so do you? Great
- 17:25Speaker 2: He says that both, He says, both of you contributed
- 17:28Speaker 2: this fifty to fifty.
