- 0:00Do you think that's a good use of taxpayers' money? Why can't
- 0:03you and your ministers just tell people? Well, I think it's a good investment.
- 0:07Good investment. $20 million to tell people to pump their tyres up.
- 0:13On our show, since this crisis began, we would have had you on for free and
- 0:19Like how stupid does he think the Australian public are that we wouldn't have pumped
- 0:24You ever feel stupid, just remind yourself that there's people out there that firstly
- 0:31I'm not sure there'd be too many farmers out there that would have voted for Labor but... Relief
- 0:35is finally on the way for our farmers as Australia secures 250,000 tonnes
- 0:41Urea is a big part of fertilizer, you know, lick for cattle. It's
- 0:44a big input in the ag scene. Welcome to Dollars in the Dirt.
- 0:48I'm Brecon Curtis and this is where we break down the finance side of
- 0:51farming so you can grow your operation, buy that next property and
- 0:55build real wealth. Let's get into it. Hey guys, welcome to
- 0:58this episode. We're going to be reacting to some more videos. A few
- 1:02of these are going to be a bit controversial, you know, our friends in
- 1:05labor. in the Labor Party probably aren't going to like some
- 1:08of our reactions, but it is what it is, and I don't see the
- 1:12Labor government as farmers' friends in a lot of ways. So
- 1:17here's a few videos, and I hope you like them, and if you've got any
- 1:23This just in. Shit's all fucked up, everything is
- 1:26bad, and experts agree it's going to get worse before it
- 1:31I'm sure this is how most farmers feel every day. The media feeding all this
- 1:34bullshit to everyone. Everyone feels like everything's fucked up, but it's probably
- 1:37not that bad really. The sun still comes up in
- 1:40the morning and everyone's business is still operating. So be
- 1:44careful what we believe and keep a positive mindset and keep going,
- 1:47I reckon, is the biggest thing here with these. I'm sure this is how everyone feels
- 1:51though. Yeah, that's the thing. Managing what
- 1:55you can control is probably the biggest thing, you know, like being across your
- 1:58cash flow and where you're heading in your business and, you know, by
- 2:02trying to block out these external factors is probably a big thing to keep
- 2:09$20 million. It's a lot of money and people are telling
- 2:13us it feels like a waste. I think this is
- 2:21...on our show since this crisis began. We would have had you on for free and
- 2:28Here we are, like, Channel 7's offering to have the Prime Minister on
- 2:31for free, free advertising, and he's spending $20 million to
- 2:34tell everyone to pump their tyres up? Like, how stupid does he think the Australian public
- 2:38are that we wouldn't have pumped up tyres to start with? You know,
- 2:41it's just ridiculous to see what's going on at the moment, and they
- 2:44should not be wasting money on shit like that, telling people what to do. It just
- 2:48shows how stupid they think the Australian people are by telling them to pump their tyres up.
- 2:53Hi, I'm Pat, and I'm a dairy farmer. And
- 2:57today, I'm going to use all the helpful tips and tricks Anthony
- 3:01Albanese has given us in his new $20 million fuel
- 3:09I've just pumped up every single tyre on every bit
- 3:12of machinery on the farm. Even the spare tyres on the ground. And
- 3:16wow. Haven't the results been fantastic? I bet. Now
- 3:19that I'm not driving around on flat tyres, I'm not only saving money
- 3:23on the tyre wear, but I'm also saving diesel for myself
- 3:28How ridiculous is this? The government's wasting $20 million
- 3:32to tell people to pump their friggin' tyres up. I just can't
- 3:35believe that we are where we are, that people have to be told in Australia that,
- 3:39you know, pump your tyres up. Like, I don't see anyone driving around on flat
- 3:43tyres, you know, like, just ridiculous. I
- 3:47wish they'd just stop wasting money. Just quickly, if you're tired of
- 3:50explaining your operation to a new bank manager every year, only

- 4:21with the team and we'll show you what's possible. Righto guys, now back
- 4:25to the episode. Oh,
- 4:33how true. Anyone who voted for Labor, you know, seriously. How
- 4:36could you give these guys a good report card with the way we're going at
- 4:39the moment? Well, anyway, I'm not sure there'd be too many farmers out there that would
- 4:43have voted for Labor. But anyway, if there are,
- 4:46that's we are, we are. And hopefully we're going to see a change
- 4:49in and where we're heading with stuff soon because, you know, from a
- 4:52farming and grazing and agricultural perspective, things aren't
- 4:56going that well. You know, some of the new agreements that have been done and, you
- 4:59know, the fuel crisis and urea and all sorts of things are causing issues,
- 5:04which, you know, it's all not as, you know, the government's complete
- 5:08fault, but we haven't been doing anything to protect ourselves from it in recent
- 5:11times neither. So hopefully we're going to see some
- 5:17Relief is finally on the way for our farmers as Australia secures 250,000 tonnes
- 5:22of urea. Indonesia will supply Australia with
- 5:26a quarter of a million tonnes of the world's most... Here we are, 250,000 tonnes.
- 5:30We need about three million tonnes of urea per
- 5:33year, so hopefully there's a bit more coming. And
- 5:38these guys have got this sorted because urea is a big part of
- 5:42fertilizer, lick for cattle. It's
- 5:45a big input in the ag scene. And so it's a
- 5:48bit of a worry that we've got a shortage of urea, but hopefully Albo
- 5:53and his mates have got this sorted and are going to look after us and make sure that
- 5:56the farming industry and grazing industry doesn't run out of urea
- 6:00Do you think that's a good use of taxpayers' money? Why can't
- 6:06Well, we see that there's heaps of misinformation out there
- 6:09online about what's happening. Some of them they might know about already,
- 6:13some of them they don't know about. I think it's a good investment and
- 6:18Good investment, $20 million to tell people to pump their tyres up.
- 6:21Seriously? When would you reckon the last time this bird pumped the tyres up?
- 6:25Do you really? Big government advertising campaign. Because Tanya... Yes,
- 6:29These guys waste their time or worry about advertising campaigns for pumping up
- 6:33tyres. Surely we should be talking about bigger picture things around creating
- 6:37more supplier fuel in Australia. You know, all they're
- 6:40worried about is green initiatives when, at
- 6:44the end of the day, we need diesel, we need to make food. You
- 6:47know, everything we look at needs diesel. So are these guys wasting money on
- 6:51advertising campaigns for pumping up tyres? This is just
- 6:54a drop in the ocean, really. A lot needs to be done to fix up where we're heading with
- 6:58this country. And hopefully they get their shit sorted soon. So
- 7:02guys, see my reaction to some of these
- 7:05videos. Albo and his mates are getting a bit of a flogging in a few of these, which
- 7:09is what it is. Anyway, let me know your thoughts,
- 7:12and I'm sure yours will, because we have been in the past. So yeah,
- 7:17look forward to everyone's reaction to these videos. Thanks
