- 0:05Speaker 2: A little quieter now.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Super bowls out and uh, soccer's in, and they had
- 0:10Speaker 1: a like a repeat game. I guesterday's basketball. It's just
- 0:13Speaker 1: a different type of the time of the year. It's
- 0:15Speaker 1: college basketball. But then after that, what happens after that?
- 0:18Speaker 1: And it gets real quiet, So then we'll have to
- 0:21Speaker 1: fill in with maybe a couple of guests. We'll bring
- 0:23Speaker 1: Randy back on for some slot stuff, and.
- 0:26Speaker 3: And then we get baseball, and then the world is
- 0:29Speaker 3: back to Norman.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Some guy just passed through here, one of guy you know,
- 0:33Speaker 1: and I said a load to him, and I didn't
- 0:35Speaker 1: realize he was the guy that bet Hucksey that he
- 0:38Speaker 1: couldn't John Morgan, John Morgan, John Morgan is a gentleman's name,
- 0:42Speaker 1: not the lawyer John Morgan.
- 0:44Speaker 2: By the way, Uh John Morgan. He he bet huckseyed
- 0:47Speaker 2: a million bucks. He couldn't finish them? How long?
- 0:51Speaker 4: My five minutes and thirty eight seconds?
- 0:53Speaker 2: No, but was it a mile or yah?
- 0:54Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 0:55Speaker 1: Anyway, and huck did it in five Yeah, he'd beat
- 0:59Speaker 1: a million Bucks, but it seemed like a really nice guy.
- 1:02Speaker 2: He's got a lot of stories.
- 1:03Speaker 4: Man, he'd be great to have.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I could see I could he'd be a good guest.
- 1:07Speaker 1: So you have to kind of coax him in to
- 1:10Speaker 1: being the guest a little bit. So we were talking
- 1:12Speaker 1: about like Alan Boston. Yeah, first I want to tell
- 1:17Speaker 1: you how I met Alan. I met him through listening
- 1:20Speaker 1: to a show. Really, he was on a show around
- 1:22Speaker 1: nineteen ninety seven and I was listening to it. I
- 1:27Speaker 1: called my wife into the room. We were dating at
- 1:30Speaker 1: the time.
- 1:30Speaker 2: I said, listen to this guy talking about.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Poker, and I said, this guy is so blunt, he's
- 1:37Speaker 1: so direct, And I said, this, this guy's really good.
- 1:41Speaker 1: He's a guest on this show every week, and you
- 1:46Speaker 1: know it just that that's how I met him, iself.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I'd like to talk to him one day. A couple
- 1:49Speaker 1: of years later, I actually got invited to his house.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I met him, and that's why we do the podcast
- 1:53Speaker 1: on Wager Talking seems to be really People are really
- 1:57Speaker 1: receptive towards They like it, they enjoy it.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Yeah, he's you can tell he's his brain power is
- 2:03Speaker 3: operating on a higher frequency than most.
- 2:06Speaker 4: He's you just feel.
- 2:07Speaker 2: That's the reason why I'm intelligence.
- 2:09Speaker 1: That's the reason why I thought the show that I
- 2:12Speaker 1: thought the show was going to do good because he
- 2:17Speaker 1: would come across well and as far as.
- 2:19Speaker 2: A stupe being a you know, worked for Billy Walters
- 2:21Speaker 2: for eleven years. Just a very smart guy.
- 2:24Speaker 1: But what I'm hearing from other people is why they
- 2:28Speaker 1: like the show is it's entertaining because Alan could say
- 2:31Speaker 1: anything at any time.
- 2:32Speaker 4: Yeah, and you know raw as they come, Yeah, you know, yeah.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:37Speaker 1: The first week he was just he got up from
- 2:39Speaker 1: the table and went and took a steak out of
- 2:41Speaker 1: the other I didn't know it was going to happen.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I know he was those the stakers. He starts chopping
- 2:46Speaker 2: up the steak eating.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:47Speaker 2: There, Like that's the only hour beneath he didn't lead.
- 2:51Speaker 2: He's like, no, I got things to do. I gotta
- 2:52Speaker 2: eat hours like yeah, okay.
- 2:54Speaker 4: And he's in crazy shape.
- 2:56Speaker 3: Yeah no, how old say is he's going to be
- 2:58Speaker 3: sixty eight, I mean, so lucky to be in that shape.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Goes to the gym.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Everybody he eats though he eats a ton. Yeah, but
- 3:05Speaker 1: he's right, I don't know about that. He can eat
- 3:08Speaker 1: a whole banana cream pie.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Really, yes, his metabolism.
- 3:11Speaker 2: He's had New York Prime in Myrtle Beach.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Wow, he like had three quarters of a pie like
- 3:17Speaker 1: he And then but yeah, he says he can't have dairy.
- 3:20Speaker 2: There you go.
- 3:20Speaker 1: There was exactly what I mean. So he can't have age,
- 3:23Speaker 1: Darry or I don't know, he trust me. He would
- 3:26Speaker 1: down a hole play the cheese if he if he
- 3:29Speaker 1: if he was in the mood for it. But anyway,
- 3:31Speaker 1: so that that's a show we do once a week
- 3:32Speaker 1: on Waiger Talk. And now we're having a meet and
- 3:34Speaker 1: greet here on the seventeenth here here, Okay, yeah, I
- 3:38Speaker 1: think it's just said that Tuesday we're gonna have film
- 3:40Speaker 1: the show Tuesday morning on the seventeenth March, seventeenth Tuesday morning,
- 3:45Speaker 1: also Saint Patrick's Day, and we'll film it and then
- 3:48Speaker 1: we'll do like a little meat and read there after.
- 3:50Speaker 1: So some people want to come in and free food.
- 3:52Speaker 4: I'm asking to me, I'm just asking for a friend.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Is there free food involved?
- 3:56Speaker 2: Or I'll buy anything anyone wants from there? Yeah, why not?
- 3:59Speaker 1: There's a great cafe there, food court therea yeah, I
- 4:01Speaker 1: don't care.
- 4:02Speaker 4: It's a good hot dog there. Actually the hot dog
- 4:04Speaker 4: is good. Yeah, we did at that time.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, a couple months ago.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I was just down. I just came back, as
- 4:12Speaker 1: you know. I was down in Florida hard rock. I
- 4:15Speaker 1: was in Myrtle Beach. I was across Alligator Alley the
- 4:19Speaker 1: other side over there in Naples and Fort Myers, and
- 4:26Speaker 1: driving across, I seen this little tiny casino and I said,
- 4:28Speaker 1: I gotta see what this is because there's a little
- 4:31Speaker 1: one room casino. It's like Vegas vacation. It looks like like,
- 4:34Speaker 1: you know, pick a number between one and ten.
- 4:37Speaker 2: You know, it's it's just it.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Was a little dumb place. And yeah, so I was
- 4:42Speaker 1: surprised to see that. I went to a couple of
- 4:43Speaker 1: different casinos. I can't believe that hard rock down there.
- 4:46Speaker 1: It's so busy. They just have to open the doors.
- 4:48Speaker 1: They don't do anything. They get all the money. Alan
- 4:52Speaker 1: Alan almost called you, Allen, So we did. Alan already,
- 4:55Speaker 1: how we met, I wrote that was my first note.
- 4:57Speaker 1: I said, I'm losing a lot of people. And this
- 5:00Speaker 1: is what happens when you choose to hang out with
- 5:01Speaker 1: older people. You know, It's it's so true. I just
- 5:05Speaker 1: constantly hearing people dying.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Yeah, sick dying.
- 5:10Speaker 1: That is the choice that you give to you know,
- 5:15Speaker 1: be around guys and learn from their wisdom and life
- 5:18Speaker 1: in their years. I have a lot of friends in
- 5:20Speaker 1: their eighties.
- 5:21Speaker 2: And our buddy down there, oh oh.
- 5:25Speaker 1: He told me I wasn't gonna do it. I was
- 5:26Speaker 1: supposed to do it off air, so it's not a
- 5:29Speaker 1: big deal. But he's like, you tell that Orlando, our
- 5:32Speaker 1: buddy of Myrtle Beach. You tell that Orlando that I
- 5:35Speaker 1: will put them in a couple of tournaments at the
- 5:37Speaker 1: World Series with fifteen hundred tournament, he said, make sure
- 5:40Speaker 1: I get my ticket.
- 5:41Speaker 2: To the UFCIT at the White House.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I'm on it.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I'm working on it now. Let's see. I told you
- 5:46Speaker 2: what did I tell you?
- 5:46Speaker 1: Wherever you're at with Camra, I told you he wasn't
- 5:49Speaker 1: He's gonna now say.
- 5:50Speaker 2: For oh yeah, I can get it. So what I'm
- 5:51Speaker 2: working on it. It's like, yeah, I couldn't get in.
- 5:54Speaker 4: You know, we're gonna make it happen, all right.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I didn't even get invited to a little John Orlando,
- 5:58Speaker 1: Oh my god, together Saturday bullshit. I had to text him,
- 6:01Speaker 1: I said, hey, did you get did you go Tyson.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Did you go, Oh my god, Saturday American Club ting.
- 6:08Speaker 1: America off Saturday. Yeah, of course you didn't get an invite? Yeah,
- 6:13Speaker 1: I mean I guess if you didn't get what I got,
- 6:15Speaker 1: feel better.
- 6:16Speaker 4: Do not believe anything this guy said.
- 6:18Speaker 2: I texted me, I said, your dad's going to be
- 6:19Speaker 2: here Saturday night.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Remember remember texture Yes, And they're like, oh my god,
- 6:23Speaker 1: my sister just told.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Me about that, right, Yeah? And then what and then.
- 6:26Speaker 1: You said, I'm sorry, I can't get an extra ticket.
- 6:29Speaker 2: I want to call him the truth? Oh man, this no, it.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Was If I was here, I would have just text Tony,
- 6:39Speaker 1: got my own ticket.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't need your juice. Yeah. Why wasn't your
- 6:43Speaker 2: sister there?
- 6:44Speaker 3: She was already scheduled to be in La oh when
- 6:47Speaker 3: this came up, that she was visiting her best friend
- 6:49Speaker 3: lives in La Oh.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Okay. I got it looked like a nice night. It
- 6:52Speaker 2: was actually a radio night.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Zoe Bowie put it together. The mayor was there. The
- 6:57Speaker 4: mayor of Las Vegas is hilarious.
- 7:00Speaker 2: The mayor h help a man. I don't even know
- 7:06Speaker 2: the mayor. I know that's a lady.
- 7:08Speaker 1: The mayor was was Oscar Goodman's wife. But now it's
- 7:11Speaker 1: somebody else, right, it's still it's still.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Oh really, no, Shelley, it's Shelley. Uh the middle school.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Oh that's right, that's right. I know that Shelley. Uh.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Oh man, Joe Fence to block.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Okay, please cut all that out. I don't know, I'm
- 7:30Speaker 4: gonna cut it out. Whatever. I'll just get roasted and
- 7:32Speaker 4: get roasted every day.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Listen.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I don't know was the mayor, but it was always
- 7:37Speaker 1: and then I knew that.
- 7:39Speaker 2: I got it.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Shelley Burch.
- 7:41Speaker 3: You sorry, missus mayor, but she is no listen to me,
- 7:46Speaker 3: like she needs a podcast or she needs a TV show,
- 7:50Speaker 3: she needs something.
- 7:51Speaker 4: She is hilarious. Really yeah, she was really funny.
- 7:55Speaker 1: She'll be on yeah. Yeah, yeah, she's sorry. So let
- 8:04Speaker 1: me tell you about you know, when you're on a
- 8:06Speaker 1: plane for so many hours, you're thinking things. I had
- 8:09Speaker 1: to connect through Nashville.
- 8:12Speaker 4: So wait, you're awake on a plane.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't sleep on a planet blue planes I
- 8:17Speaker 1: could sleep on, but.
- 8:19Speaker 2: I wasn't awake.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I mean I was awake the whole plane, just thinking
- 8:23Speaker 1: about some different things. And for some reason, the way
- 8:28Speaker 1: that I walked through a casino and think about casino
- 8:30Speaker 1: gambling is so different now than than in the eighties
- 8:34Speaker 1: and nineties. You know, I was sneaking into casinos in
- 8:36Speaker 1: the eighties at you know, fifteen years old, and think
- 8:39Speaker 1: I was like fifteen the first time I was in
- 8:40Speaker 1: the casino. And I was a sucker all throughout the eighties.
- 8:44Speaker 1: And even though I was sharp and certain things. My
- 8:48Speaker 1: cousin taught me blackjack cart counting nineteen eighty six eighty seven.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I was a kid working for him in the pizza
- 8:53Speaker 1: business on the boardwalk Kingsburg, New Jersey. But I still
- 8:57Speaker 1: gave money back horse racing at Mammoth, you know, doing
- 9:00Speaker 1: some stupid things. He taught me blackjack, head to head blackjack.
- 9:03Speaker 1: And you know I thought about all the time. I
- 9:08Speaker 1: times I thought about like how much I was sucker
- 9:10Speaker 1: I was compared to the way I think now about
- 9:12Speaker 1: casinos and the way I think about gambling now.
- 9:15Speaker 2: And one of them is believe.
- 9:17Speaker 4: It or not is poker.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I say to myself poker, like, so, you guys sent
- 9:21Speaker 1: me a text last night. You were in a poker
- 9:23Speaker 1: playing in a poker tournament. Yeah, And I just said
- 9:27Speaker 1: to myself, you know it, it's so hard to make
- 9:30Speaker 1: money in poker, which there's so many different things you
- 9:34Speaker 1: have to overcome. You know, you have to overcome the rake,
- 9:38Speaker 1: the luck factor, which is a giant, giant luck factor massive.
- 9:42Speaker 1: You could be you know, six to five, three to
- 9:45Speaker 1: two nine after a flop and they catched.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Their one find one hour the two outer finds. You
- 9:52Speaker 3: it's so crazy, it's so frustrating. Yeah, I mean I
- 9:55Speaker 3: watched our buddy Tyson last night. Yep, I have to
- 9:59Speaker 3: I have to give credit. He he nurses a short
- 10:03Speaker 3: stack like no other like he had. He got done
- 10:07Speaker 3: like six thousand chips and literally within fifteen minutes he
- 10:13Speaker 3: was second.
- 10:13Speaker 4: In chips in the tournament. But he's really just played
- 10:17Speaker 4: his ass off and.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Then went to the final table and went to the
- 10:19Speaker 2: final table.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Yeah, came in fourth.
- 10:22Speaker 2: And and that casino Venetian Place.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so nice of that they have tournaments every
- 10:29Speaker 4: day every day, a daily game there a daily there's
- 10:31Speaker 4: a daily uh and then a nightly.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Now a perfect example of me talking about how I
- 10:35Speaker 1: think about casinos.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Now compared to them. Yeah, and the tournament is this is.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Uh so this one was higher because w PT's in town,
- 10:45Speaker 3: all right, So this was.
- 10:46Speaker 4: A four hundred dollars. What's the rake bounty?
- 10:48Speaker 2: How can you even tell you? I have no idea,
- 10:51Speaker 2: and that's my whole purpose of the conversation.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I knew where you were headed, but I would argue,
- 10:57Speaker 3: I'm glad you brought this up.
- 10:58Speaker 2: How can you not know the TapouT?
- 11:00Speaker 4: I can't wait. I'm gonna get so annihilated in the comments.
- 11:03Speaker 4: It doesn't matter.
- 11:05Speaker 2: How about that that's so wrong? Why?
- 11:07Speaker 4: Why tell me why it's wrong?
- 11:09Speaker 2: John?
- 11:10Speaker 1: If they take twenty five percent, which I know, John,
- 11:14Speaker 1: the casino is the only winner. They're winning first prize
- 11:17Speaker 1: with the twenty five percent. Okay, let's use the World
- 11:19Speaker 1: Series twenty percent. They take twenty percent out of the
- 11:22Speaker 1: lower two day. I think it's eighteen to twenty. All right,
- 11:25Speaker 1: let's use twenty percent.
- 11:26Speaker 4: Yep.
- 11:27Speaker 2: So, and they're getting a lot of people. How many
- 11:30Speaker 2: people were in torment last night?
- 11:31Speaker 4: Two hundred, no less, ninety sixty.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Five sixty five sixty five people To get a little
- 11:37Speaker 1: higher than yeah, let's let's use to make an easy
- 11:39Speaker 1: match seven hundred.
- 11:40Speaker 4: I'm sorry, one hundred people.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Let's use one hundred people, I okay for four hundred dollars. Okay,
- 11:45Speaker 1: all right, so that's uh, four hundred bucks one hundred people. Right,
- 11:50Speaker 1: that's forty thousand dollars in the prize pool. Okay, they
- 11:54Speaker 1: can take like eight thousand of that prize pool. Okay,
- 11:58Speaker 1: so they take eight thousand, Now it's only thirty two
- 12:00Speaker 1: thousand back.
- 12:01Speaker 4: Okay.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Basically they're giving themselves between first and second place, first place, right,
- 12:06Speaker 1: they're giving them place.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Just you have to know what you're in for when
- 12:11Speaker 2: you're playing fifteen fifteen ton.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Okay, there used to be te eight ten percent down,
- 12:16Speaker 1: So fifteen percent is a ton, I'll tell you right now.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Out of a poker tournament, that's a ton.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Okay.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Now, granted I understand the social aspect of it. You
- 12:25Speaker 1: have fun with it, and you're there for you want
- 12:27Speaker 1: to know something. There's even something to this, John. Maybe
- 12:30Speaker 1: you lose less than going to a casino for two
- 12:33Speaker 1: hours gambling if you're in a tournament for two three hours.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I actually get it a little bit more right along
- 12:39Speaker 1: those because.
- 12:39Speaker 3: It's funny said, because I used to say it's cheaper
- 12:42Speaker 3: than blackjack. Whatever happens here is cheaper than blackjack. Probably
- 12:45Speaker 3: make la it probably is.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Yeah, But still, these companies are so greedy Okay, they
- 12:51Speaker 1: charge you double the rake that it used to be,
- 12:54Speaker 1: but worse that you don't even care.
- 12:55Speaker 2: You don't even know.
- 12:56Speaker 3: No, I don't know because I'm here. I'm still gonna
- 12:58Speaker 3: double down on it. It doesn't matter, Okay. So here, one
- 13:01Speaker 3: hundred people play, right, and they take fifteen percent?
- 13:04Speaker 4: Okay?
- 13:04Speaker 3: So what if there was no rake but only seventy
- 13:07Speaker 3: five people played in the tournament, you'd still play. You're
- 13:09Speaker 3: not playing the tournament. You have no idea how many
- 13:12Speaker 3: people are entering the tournament when you go in. So
- 13:15Speaker 3: who cares what the rake is? Because if there was Okay,
- 13:18Speaker 3: so there's one hundred people at enter and there's fifteen
- 13:21Speaker 3: percent break, or there's no rake.
- 13:23Speaker 4: I'm just giving you a hypothetical. There's no rake.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Rake, but maybe.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Maybe on a WATA on a random Wednesday, there's less
- 13:32Speaker 3: people in town than on Friday.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 13:34Speaker 3: My point is, you don't know if fifty, one hundred
- 13:37Speaker 3: or one hundred and fifty people are.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Going to play the tournament.
- 13:40Speaker 3: So if you don't know that number and you're still
- 13:44Speaker 3: willing to play, it's the same thing as paying the rake.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Who cares.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna stick by what I say. Killdy no, I'm
- 13:52Speaker 1: not even I'm just gonna stick by what I say, Like,
- 13:54Speaker 1: I don't want to pay that kind of rake, knowing
- 13:57Speaker 1: there's that kind of a takeout of my entry. He However,
- 14:01Speaker 1: people in the comments, maybe John, let me know, they're.
- 14:04Speaker 4: All going to side with you there because they're.
- 14:06Speaker 2: I'm not saying even side with me.
- 14:08Speaker 4: No, but I mean they're they're maybe maybe they're.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Maybe they like the social aspect of it too. Maybe
- 14:13Speaker 1: maybe maybe you'll have a couple of guys that are
- 14:15Speaker 1: recovering guys.
- 14:17Speaker 2: You never know.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I get, I get what you're saying,
- 14:22Speaker 3: but you have to place. So so what is the
- 14:24Speaker 3: value on them creating that room?
- 14:28Speaker 4: It's a nice room that's free drinks.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Drink, it's a nice table, it's a nice environment, Hotel Venetia.
- 14:36Speaker 2: We're not going this is poker tournaments in general, right,
- 14:39Speaker 2: This guy could be on the list. Just let you know.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Uh, someone someone threatened John today that he was gonna
- 14:44Speaker 1: be here. So that's why John keeps looking all around.
- 14:46Speaker 4: I'm just looking with enthusias.
- 14:48Speaker 2: He could be on the list.
- 14:49Speaker 4: I'm excited, guy, Are you the one?
- 14:51Speaker 1: No?
- 14:52Speaker 2: Anyone got tattoos?
- 14:53Speaker 3: Acting like he's getting he's on the list daily flyers.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Let you go, But I.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Know it's not him, because you wouldn't cut I'm wearing
- 15:00Speaker 3: flip flops, ready to battle.
- 15:01Speaker 4: I sure hope you wouldn't you know.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Yeah, someone's friends flip flops, he said, he said I'll
- 15:06Speaker 2: be here today.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Yeah, And he said I was gonna side with them.
- 15:11Speaker 2: He trust with me.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know anyway, it's crazy.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Yeah, uh, anyway, there.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Was always next week.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Where are we at? Where are we thinking of? Uh?
- 15:23Speaker 3: Yeah, the rake, you know, but you have to play
- 15:26Speaker 3: some some value of the Venetians.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Great, there's nothing new with the Venetian. I said, it
- 15:32Speaker 1: could be anywhere. It could be anywhere. The Venetian is
- 15:36Speaker 1: a great room. Though they had free like Lavaza coffee,
- 15:40Speaker 1: they had great sprink stations for free. I couldn't PLA
- 15:43Speaker 1: first thing I said was that's gonna hurt the waitresses.
- 15:45Speaker 1: You know.
- 15:46Speaker 4: It's funny though, is well two things.
- 15:48Speaker 3: I'm gonna circle back to the waitress thing because you
- 15:50Speaker 3: like what I did last night. But that that nice
- 15:53Speaker 3: coffee machine you saw on there. They just took them
- 15:55Speaker 3: out two weeks ago. But I think they took him
- 15:58Speaker 3: out because they kept breaking like if he kept having
- 16:01Speaker 3: problems with him.
- 16:02Speaker 4: So now it's just double. It's a decaf a. It's
- 16:06Speaker 4: a regular coffee and a decaf and a regular company.
- 16:08Speaker 3: And it's just the old school, just the old and yeah, yeah,
- 16:11Speaker 3: but you like this.
- 16:12Speaker 2: They have the most beautiful machines at all different things. Ca.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I was filling up the soda as a cocktail.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Waitress was walking by me last night, and I gave
- 16:22Speaker 3: her ten dollars. I'm getting self serve soda. I gave
- 16:26Speaker 3: her ten dollars. I said, here, this is self service
- 16:28Speaker 3: drink tax I'm giving you meaning because I'm not getting
- 16:32Speaker 3: the drinks.
- 16:33Speaker 2: John.
- 16:33Speaker 1: That reminds me of a scene from the Popa Greenage
- 16:35Speaker 1: Village when you know Paulie's tipping the toll attendant. And
- 16:39Speaker 1: then when the tournament was over, just like when the
- 16:41Speaker 1: race was over, Charlie said, hey, didn't tip, and he said,
- 16:46Speaker 1: Santa Claus, yeah, seeing like after the tournament was over,
- 16:49Speaker 1: would look, you don't think you'd have anything left for
- 16:50Speaker 1: the waitress.
- 16:51Speaker 4: He'd loved them back to the mayor real quick.
- 16:53Speaker 3: The mayor was I can't remember who she was talking about,
- 16:56Speaker 3: but she was talking about h She was acknowledging somebody
- 17:00Speaker 3: I don't remember what it was, and she goes and.
- 17:02Speaker 4: He's a great tipper, and that's what we looked for
- 17:04Speaker 4: this town. I don't remember who she was talking about.
- 17:06Speaker 4: I have to go back and look at the video.
- 17:08Speaker 2: I have to see who this is.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Tho.
- 17:09Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, John.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Casino hotel rooms, yeah, I am spoiled. I was in
- 17:15Speaker 1: hard Rock great room.
- 17:19Speaker 4: Yeah, Hollywood for Hollywood, okay.
- 17:22Speaker 1: And uh even Tampa great rooms. I'm thinking of like
- 17:27Speaker 1: Atlantic City, Ocean hard Rocking. They had great, great beds,
- 17:31Speaker 1: great pillows, the wind Here, Fountain Blue. Even my buddy
- 17:35Speaker 1: said that out of all the casinos he stayed in,
- 17:37Speaker 1: he was in.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Like five this trip.
- 17:40Speaker 1: He said that the Flamingo had great beds and great pillows.
- 17:43Speaker 2: So we're just used to that.
- 17:45Speaker 1: And then when you go to like I went to
- 17:47Speaker 1: Myrtle Beach and I stayed in one of the beach
- 17:49Speaker 1: front hotels, and you just stay in a hotel. It's
- 17:53Speaker 1: an old built by the way, one of the top
- 17:54Speaker 1: places in Myrtle Beach. But there's no like you know,
- 17:58Speaker 1: there's there's no like a four seasons in Hilton Had.
- 18:01Speaker 1: It's an old town, right, and you just I'm usustained
- 18:06Speaker 1: on those bets. I couldn't even sleep on the bed
- 18:08Speaker 1: Atton and Myrtle Beach. It just you really appreciate some
- 18:13Speaker 1: things here from the casinos. I'm tough on the casinos.
- 18:15Speaker 3: So it's it's I heard wind remodeled all their rooms
- 18:20Speaker 3: on the wind side.
- 18:21Speaker 4: Do you know if that's true?
- 18:22Speaker 2: They were modeling both sides from what I.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Hear, right, and I think the wind side is complete.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Oh really, that's what I heard. I haven't seen the rooms,
- 18:31Speaker 4: but so.
- 18:31Speaker 1: I'm tough on casinos. So I'll I'll be nice about
- 18:35Speaker 1: the beds and stuff, but I'll go right back into
- 18:37Speaker 1: Caesar's Palace. Now, there's a big lawsuit the staff on
- 18:42Speaker 1: Caesar's Palace called uber an uber instead of nine to one.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Is that really true?
- 18:49Speaker 4: I have read that this morning.
- 18:50Speaker 1: The family of a Caesar's Palace guest who died issuing
- 18:53Speaker 1: the resorts owners of wrongful death. The suit claims this
- 18:57Speaker 1: staff mistook a medical crisis for intoxication called a ride
- 19:03Speaker 1: share to remove the guests off the property.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Wow, claiming negligence.
- 19:08Speaker 4: That's gonna be a crazy lossuit.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I just think they'll settle out of court.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Yeah, wrongful death suit filed by the family Rhode Island.
- 19:15Speaker 1: You know, but wasn't he win anybody wasn't he with
- 19:18Speaker 1: somebody like that could say he was having a medical emergency.
- 19:23Speaker 3: But you know, I get it, you know, in defense
- 19:25Speaker 3: of the staff, like it's probably so hard.
- 19:28Speaker 4: You see so much.
- 19:29Speaker 2: It's true, I'm seeing so much, just how it happened
- 19:32Speaker 2: at Caesars.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I'm tough on Caesars anyway for throwing me out of
- 19:35Speaker 1: the sportsbook for winning. But it's just very The company's
- 19:39Speaker 1: got a lot of problems.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Yeah, this is they didn't need this press right now.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Instead, arranging for the ride share resulted in his death,
- 19:47Speaker 1: ultimately led to cause and contributed substantially to his death,
- 19:50Speaker 1: according to the complaint, And yeah he was. I don't
- 19:54Speaker 1: understand this. So the Nate guy's name here, it's public.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Richard Parents sixty four was staying at Tezers when he
- 20:00Speaker 1: suffered a sudden and severe medical episode.
- 20:04Speaker 2: So if he was staying there, I.
- 20:06Speaker 1: He had dizzyness, double vision, bob, they send them home,
- 20:10Speaker 1: they see, because there always could be more to the story.
- 20:14Speaker 2: But I'm only a stakcase. I'm only repeating here what
- 20:17Speaker 2: I'm reading. You know I'm reading here.
- 20:19Speaker 1: It's crazy, sad now, we talked about it before today.
- 20:22Speaker 1: It's a fish. Metallica definitely signs to the Sphere. They
- 20:27Speaker 1: announced the residency in October.
- 20:29Speaker 4: You're in.
- 20:30Speaker 1: It's eight days in October October first, thirteen, fifteen, seventeen,
- 20:35Speaker 1: twenty four, twenty nine.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Thirty one.
- 20:37Speaker 4: What day do you see us go?
- 20:38Speaker 2: Tallica?
- 20:39Speaker 1: Life burns faster at the Sphere. Now why you shouldn't
- 20:42Speaker 1: go opening day?
- 20:43Speaker 4: Okay? Is let them work out the case.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, I want to tell you where was I
- 20:47Speaker 3: stay in a place like that.
- 20:48Speaker 1: I went to mar Torano's for dinner in Fort Laudervale,
- 20:51Speaker 1: which I'd always recommend going to Mornranos. We've had we've
- 20:55Speaker 1: had on our show many times his car, and we've
- 21:00Speaker 1: had on George many times. And I went to Marnerronald's,
- 21:03Speaker 1: but I went late this week, so I went nine
- 21:05Speaker 1: o'clock instead of my normal seven or six o'clock. It
- 21:08Speaker 1: turns into ten o'clock. Steve actually winds up spinning and
- 21:11Speaker 1: DJ in was so.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Loud when I left there.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I have never left a concert in my life, and
- 21:17Speaker 1: I've been in front row for many concerts and many
- 21:21Speaker 1: heavy metal concerts in my life when I was younger,
- 21:25Speaker 1: I've never had my ears ringing like that, Like I
- 21:28Speaker 1: left that night that I did permanent ear damage.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Really yeah. But anyway, the food's unbelievable.
- 21:34Speaker 1: That that food I'll put up against any Italian food
- 21:37Speaker 1: in the world.
- 21:37Speaker 2: That's how good Marrono's is.
- 21:39Speaker 4: Wow.
- 21:39Speaker 1: But anyway, and Steve said he come on the show.
- 21:43Speaker 1: By the way I asked him, he said he would
- 21:45Speaker 1: come on a show.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Let me ask you this.
- 21:46Speaker 3: You mentioned the sphere. Did you see the latest fight
- 21:50Speaker 3: that's been booked.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's my name.
- 21:51Speaker 4: Oh okay, sorry, okay, but there you go go ahead.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Yeah, Las Vegas Fear. They have booked Manny Pacquiao and
- 22:00Speaker 2: Floyd Mayweather.
- 22:01Speaker 1: At first, I said, this is gonna be like one
- 22:03Speaker 1: of those what do they call it, exhibition?
- 22:05Speaker 2: Exhibition type of fights. No one's gonna get hurt.
- 22:07Speaker 1: It's real, it's real. Well, I don't see their ages here.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I know they're forty nine, and I'm like, I gotta
- 22:13Speaker 1: be a forty.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Nine and forty eight. So yeah, I'm surprised it doesn't
- 22:16Speaker 2: say they're age in this article.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I bet you they're on forty eight forty nine years old,
- 22:19Speaker 1: though so September nineteen, twenty twenty six, this funeral host
- 22:24Speaker 1: his first ever live boxing event. Manny Paciell gets a
- 22:28Speaker 1: chance to have his revenge on Floyd Mayweather.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Are we going like how I did that? Well, I'll
- 22:34Speaker 3: tell you I'm excited about this.
- 22:36Speaker 1: It's funny people. Some people just don't know, like some
- 22:40Speaker 1: crazy things. The way people text me. I'm a nice man.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I'm not going to say his name. Man text me
- 22:45Speaker 1: yesterday and the text he sent me was, Hey, my friend,
- 22:50Speaker 1: just giving you a heads up. Manny Pacio on Floyda
- 22:52Speaker 1: fighting like I didn't know. I'd love to come see them,
- 22:54Speaker 1: so asking to set me up with some tickets if
- 22:56Speaker 1: you can. Like people really think, I think that I
- 23:00Speaker 1: had some up with These tickets are gonna be like
- 23:02Speaker 1: two Granny minimum to ten and twenty and fifty thousand.
- 23:06Speaker 1: But people are sometimes text me the strangest shit. Man,
- 23:09Speaker 1: look at this, Hello, my friend is another guy?
- 23:14Speaker 2: A good thing? You're in Vegas on.
- 23:16Speaker 1: The sixteenth and eighteenth? Can you tell me who I
- 23:18Speaker 1: should call? That plan in Hollywood to get a bottle
- 23:21Speaker 1: of beer or something up to my son's look a
- 23:23Speaker 1: bottle or some beer up to my son's room. Tuesday
- 23:26Speaker 1: was his birthday. You want me to help get a bottle.
- 23:30Speaker 4: Of alcohol crazy Sun's room?
- 23:33Speaker 1: Like, I just don't like people think more of me.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Thank you though, it's nice for you to think that.
- 23:39Speaker 3: And also that I don't realize that I get them too.
- 23:41Speaker 3: We get these texts ten times.
- 23:44Speaker 4: A week now.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I was really good with people were getting free rooms
- 23:47Speaker 1: to win. I had a free room at the Win
- 23:50Speaker 1: every single week. Gave it away to someone every single week.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I gave you a couple of times you had to
- 23:55Speaker 1: Carol Todd. Yeah, I gave people, so I gave him
- 23:57Speaker 1: to and it probably costs me my deal with the
- 24:00Speaker 1: wind I was getting, I was getting.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Because now you're not playing.
- 24:03Speaker 3: I get no money because you're kill You're a bust
- 24:06Speaker 3: every time over because when you get the room, they
- 24:08Speaker 3: think you're there. I'm overcomped and they're expecting play, right,
- 24:12Speaker 3: So then there's I would.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Play, but just that I wouldn't play to the level.
- 24:16Speaker 1: So anyway, Yeah, I appreciate.
- 24:19Speaker 4: People that fight, though that fight excites me.
- 24:22Speaker 3: If that fight isn't at the sphere, I kind of
- 24:24Speaker 3: don't care really, But at the sphere as an event,
- 24:28Speaker 3: I kind of like.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Says tickets are in person, it's five hundred to thirty
- 24:32Speaker 1: five hundred go on sale and may I just don't
- 24:35Speaker 1: see them being five hundred dollars.
- 24:36Speaker 3: But let me tell you this, if that, if that is,
- 24:40Speaker 3: if you do want to go.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Don't be afraid. Those five hundred dollars.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Seats are good seats because you've been in the Sphere.
- 24:46Speaker 3: You don't want to be on the floor right normally,
- 24:49Speaker 3: you don't want to be close like you would a
- 24:51Speaker 3: normal fight.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Definitely, you're okay in the three hundreds.
- 24:54Speaker 2: It says.
- 24:55Speaker 1: It actually says pricing for in person tickets has not
- 24:58Speaker 1: been announced by the Sphere or ticket Master, but industry
- 25:02Speaker 1: observers say the nosebleeds are five hundred dollars.
- 25:05Speaker 2: That's wrong.
- 25:06Speaker 1: There is no nosebleed like they're saying nose bleed. You
- 25:09Speaker 1: don't want to be ringside, correct, you don't want to
- 25:11Speaker 1: be up on top of the fear at the sphere,
- 25:14Speaker 1: you don't. You're good in those in those bad seats. Yeah,
- 25:18Speaker 1: to be happy, Yeah, still be happy.
- 25:19Speaker 2: I absolutely agree.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think those other sections there the live
- 25:25Speaker 1: gate of seventy million, seventy two million, they think it's
- 25:29Speaker 1: going to be broken here at the sphere, So it's.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Supposed to be a real fight.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I mean, Pachia fought about a year ago, so he
- 25:38Speaker 1: did fight. But I don't know Floyd has fought at all.
- 25:42Speaker 1: So you know, this is eight nine years ago. Why
- 25:45Speaker 1: he made three hundred million dollars or something like that.
- 25:48Speaker 1: I think people are saying speculating that he's out of money.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Maybe yeah, I mean I don't I really don't think so.
- 25:56Speaker 2: But he really is.
- 25:57Speaker 3: How cool is it though, that you can just fire
- 26:00Speaker 3: up one of these you got three hundred million again
- 26:03Speaker 3: or whatever.
- 26:03Speaker 2: You Yeah, he's gonna get a hundred million, I'm sure
- 26:05Speaker 2: a minimum.
- 26:08Speaker 1: So I find that the snow that came, I was
- 26:10Speaker 1: supposed to go to Jersey for a couple days.
- 26:12Speaker 2: I didn't go.
- 26:12Speaker 1: I was supposed to go from from Florida that in
- 26:16Speaker 1: New Jersey for a couple of days. I didn't go
- 26:18Speaker 1: because they canceled my flight. Other flights were going to NOWRK,
- 26:21Speaker 1: New Jersey and Atlantic City. They canceled the flights, and
- 26:26Speaker 1: Philadelphia also was allowing flights. So certain places I was
- 26:31Speaker 1: supposed to go they got they got bombed. Two feet
- 26:33Speaker 1: of snow. You know about that. You got two feet
- 26:35Speaker 1: of snow. But the casinos remained open during the entire thing.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Nothing's going to stop the casino from closing, from staying open,
- 26:43Speaker 1: I should say nothing's gonna stop them from staying open.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Uh, fifteen to twenty four inches depending on what part
- 26:49Speaker 1: of New Jersey stopped to sixty mile an hour wind gust.
- 26:52Speaker 2: But there was a.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Casino in Massachusetts that actually said they announced they were
- 26:58Speaker 1: going to close ahead of time, and they did. But
- 27:02Speaker 1: what I'm told, though, John, the reason I'm talking about
- 27:04Speaker 1: all this is I have some friends that are pretty
- 27:07Speaker 1: sharp slot guys that go around casinos looking for bonuses
- 27:10Speaker 1: and stuff, and I would think automatically, now the volume
- 27:14Speaker 1: is going to be down. It's whyever a go, you
- 27:16Speaker 1: just stay the exact opposite. I know three different people
- 27:20Speaker 1: and two different destinations, but three different casinos.
- 27:23Speaker 2: They said it was the best time of their.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Life for finally slop bonuses.
- 27:27Speaker 1: The crowd that were in there were the working class
- 27:31Speaker 1: people that just went to the casino anyway, and they're
- 27:34Speaker 1: not working, but they don't understand the machines and Wiley
- 27:37Speaker 1: and then the hustlers didn't show up the bonus horse,
- 27:40Speaker 1: but I called sour Ruters didn't show up. The most
- 27:43Speaker 1: successful two day period of those three people's careers were
- 27:48Speaker 1: those two days.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Wow.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Wow, I was just shocked. I didn't know I would
- 27:52Speaker 1: think the same thing. I would think, Yeah, you're not
- 27:53Speaker 1: gonna be going out or anything. You remember the company
- 27:56Speaker 1: Bodog of course, of course Calvinaria.
- 28:00Speaker 2: I knew Calvin, and I know Calvin.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been with him a couple of times, back
- 28:04Speaker 1: in two thousand, maybe ninety nine. Back in ninety nine,
- 28:07Speaker 1: I was writing for a website and we were rating
- 28:10Speaker 1: the sports books and casinos.
- 28:12Speaker 2: He owned three or four. One was Big Book, Grand Prix.
- 28:17Speaker 1: There was another one. There was May and m A
- 28:19Speaker 1: y N. He owned those three. He owned many sports books.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Calvin was a very wealthy guy.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Opened up.
- 28:26Speaker 4: Yep.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Now at first it wasn't called it was called something else.
- 28:30Speaker 2: It wasn't called Bodog. It was called so I think
- 28:32Speaker 2: it was called something before Bodog.
- 28:35Speaker 3: He also had a fight. He had Bodog fight. I
- 28:38Speaker 3: remember that was an MMA organization. Jake Elmberger fought in
- 28:42Speaker 3: Bodog and they of them. Yeah, they did events like
- 28:45Speaker 3: in Costa Rica.
- 28:45Speaker 4: They did all all of They even did a couple
- 28:48Speaker 4: of events in the Playboy mansion.
- 28:49Speaker 1: They had he Calvin. Calvin was the real deal and
- 28:53Speaker 1: he was on the front of Force Yep.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Stati was a billionaire.
- 28:56Speaker 1: That hurt him because that's when he wasn't allowed. He
- 29:00Speaker 1: wasn't allowed on the radar screen, on the radar screen,
- 29:03Speaker 1: he wasn't allowed in other other places. But yeah, so
- 29:06Speaker 1: now they're there.
- 29:08Speaker 4: And he's not even a year now, right he was in.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Canada, I think, but I know, I know he had
- 29:13Speaker 1: a place in of course he had he did any places, yeah, yeah,
- 29:18Speaker 1: and anyway, so now they're changing the name again and
- 29:23Speaker 1: supposedly he has sold the site and it's it's a
- 29:26Speaker 1: big because they have a big poker site, right, yeah,
- 29:29Speaker 1: I think they have a big poker site.
- 29:30Speaker 2: So it's kind of a kind of a big deal.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Bodog is now called o z o o n pronounced
- 29:37Speaker 1: O zoom in Canada.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Under the license of the Canadian First Nation, that.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Controversial gray market operator in Canada hit by court injunction
- 29:47Speaker 1: in Manitoba last summer.
- 29:49Speaker 2: So now they're out. O Zoo is in.
- 29:52Speaker 1: And just keep your eye on anyone coming by, you know,
- 29:54Speaker 1: because my back is today out. They're only coming for you.
- 29:58Speaker 1: But it doesn't matter. I I have friendly fire can happen.
- 30:03Speaker 1: So yeah, I can't see nothing behind me, So I
- 30:06Speaker 1: know you, but I got you, got eyes, you got
- 30:08Speaker 1: you brought bodyguards with you to that.
- 30:10Speaker 2: I don't blame you. I don't blame you anyway, did
- 30:13Speaker 2: you see?
- 30:14Speaker 3: Uh?
- 30:14Speaker 1: It's just another another thing. I thought it was pretty
- 30:16Speaker 1: because they're a big sports book, big big.
- 30:18Speaker 2: They don't only like guys like me.
- 30:19Speaker 1: But they have like two sets of lines, one for sharps,
- 30:22Speaker 1: one for squares.
- 30:23Speaker 4: Did I see what FanDuel.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Is?
- 30:28Speaker 4: Poker stars as rebranding as.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Fan Really so fanduels underneath.
- 30:34Speaker 3: One of them under Yeah, maybe someone in the commons
- 30:38Speaker 3: Canada or something.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Okay, well, Canada has like a.
- 30:42Speaker 4: Screenshot it and I can't find it.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Certain certain Indian tribal licenses and stuff. Maybe something with
- 30:47Speaker 1: that I don't know, like just like I just read. Yeah,
- 30:49Speaker 1: though with the Manitoba, this is an interesting story here
- 30:54Speaker 1: we have. First before I get into that, let's show
- 30:58Speaker 1: this weekly wager wires.
- 31:00Speaker 2: I think that this is a four lake party.
- 31:02Speaker 1: It's someone has just kind of money to spend thirty
- 31:04Speaker 1: one hundred dollars to win two hundred and fifty three thousand.
- 31:07Speaker 2: I'll give you that four.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Legs of this so four Lake future Indiana College football winner,
- 31:13Speaker 1: they cash Day one, Michigan Final four, Detroit NBA East winner,
- 31:18Speaker 1: Colorado Stanley Cup winner. So like given the three dimes
- 31:21Speaker 1: at steak here eighty to one. Partly it's clearly a
- 31:25Speaker 1: is a VIP player.
- 31:27Speaker 2: It's a high level player.
- 31:29Speaker 1: If Michigan makes the Final four, the value of this
- 31:31Speaker 1: ticket went increase to about fifteen thousand, and I think
- 31:35Speaker 1: the earliest you'd start considering that or even a partial sale,
- 31:40Speaker 1: you know, is when Michigan gets there. And Michigan they
- 31:45Speaker 1: definitely can get there. So this this ticket is thirty
- 31:48Speaker 1: one hundred to win two hundred and fifty three thousand. Again,
- 31:51Speaker 1: you can see indianamate it there already. Michigan. I'm gonna
- 31:54Speaker 1: say they're going to make it there. So there might
- 31:57Speaker 1: be a partial involved here that I would be interested in,
- 32:00Speaker 1: but I would wait till closer. Now we I say closer,
- 32:04Speaker 1: it's only two weeks away, is a you know a
- 32:07Speaker 1: couple of weeks of the announcing the team. So but
- 32:11Speaker 1: this is actually to make the final four. I'd have
- 32:13Speaker 1: to see their draws though, I'd like to see who
- 32:15Speaker 1: they draw when the selection Sunday comes.
- 32:17Speaker 4: What's that ticket worth? Now?
- 32:19Speaker 1: It's now it's it's uh, it was it's thirty one
- 32:22Speaker 1: hundred dollars originally. Now it's eighty five hundred dollars. And
- 32:26Speaker 1: that that's what they're saying it's worth. Now it's probably
- 32:28Speaker 1: double that when Michigan makes it.
- 32:30Speaker 3: If three thousands, you're going on the long haul.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Long haul here, but uh, this is just one available
- 32:39Speaker 1: over at wager war dot com and a wager wire app.
- 32:42Speaker 1: And okay, let's go over to your thing. Fanduels signs
- 32:45Speaker 1: signs point to Poker Stars US sites rebranding to Fandel.
- 32:49Speaker 1: So I guess the signs point the Yoga Stars US
- 32:53Speaker 1: stars will be Fandel possibly.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Uh, now, here's why, Poker here's why.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Even though you think poker is that big and it
- 33:02Speaker 1: Liz and and fan, the Poker Stars is giant. Fan
- 33:06Speaker 1: Blow may have a bigger base because they're so big.
- 33:10Speaker 2: They have to. They're the largest sports book.
- 33:12Speaker 1: In there in them in America over over DraftKings, they're
- 33:15Speaker 1: number one, So this could be. Obviously, it is a
- 33:18Speaker 1: partnership that's going to make both.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Of the money. And it's just a long haul. And
- 33:22Speaker 2: uh and make sure the guy with the hat he
- 33:24Speaker 2: looks real.
- 33:25Speaker 4: Slow moving and stuff.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Well it's like kaiser, right, yeah, exactly, it's a fake limb,
- 33:31Speaker 3: right right, right.
- 33:32Speaker 2: No, we couldn't could get you.
- 33:33Speaker 3: But anyway, that little old lady right now, you know,
- 33:36Speaker 3: I'm not ruling anyone out.
- 33:38Speaker 2: We thought it was could have been a PROD producer.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Real sneaky sometimes.
- 33:45Speaker 1: So anyway, that that could be very interesting that that
- 33:48Speaker 1: they're they're rebranding their America. It's they're rebranding their American
- 33:52Speaker 1: poker like, right, is that just a rumor?
- 33:55Speaker 2: Paul Signs point to it.
- 33:57Speaker 3: It was in card Player magazine put it up. So
- 34:00Speaker 3: can I imagine they have some intel?
- 34:01Speaker 1: Yeah right yeah, yeah yeah, circle k. You know the
- 34:04Speaker 1: store showers Okay, we have in town, real good coffee.
- 34:07Speaker 1: I stopped there once in a while for coffee. So
- 34:09Speaker 1: this is this lawsuit against an employee. Then this is interesting.
- 34:14Speaker 1: So someone came in and bought eighty dollars in lottos
- 34:21Speaker 1: or the employee printed eighty five dollars and one dollar tickets.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Okay, but the customer only had sixty dollars that paid.
- 34:29Speaker 2: He went to go look on his money.
- 34:31Speaker 1: So he left twenty five unsold tickets at the counter.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Do you believe?
- 34:38Speaker 1: Do you believe one of the twenty five tickets come
- 34:42Speaker 1: on twelve point eight million dollars?
- 34:45Speaker 4: This is stend, This is so sick.
- 34:49Speaker 1: One of the twenty eight look, the employee printed. This
- 34:53Speaker 1: was in Marisola, Copa County in Arizona. The tickets remained
- 34:57Speaker 1: in the store overnight. Among them was the winner, granting
- 35:00Speaker 1: its old her twelve point eight million. The jackpot in
- 35:04Speaker 1: question is among the largest in the history of.
- 35:07Speaker 3: This uh and so the question is who owns the ticket?
- 35:09Speaker 2: Now, well, let me be blunt. Why didn't the guy
- 35:12Speaker 2: come back and get the twenty five dollars that night?
- 35:15Speaker 2: You know?
- 35:16Speaker 1: The next morning the guy came back. You know, I'm
- 35:22Speaker 1: gonna read this here. The stores manager, Robert Gobazita, learned
- 35:29Speaker 1: that the ticket, the winning ticket, had been printed but
- 35:32Speaker 1: not sold.
- 35:33Speaker 2: Now what does that mean? The ticket I've had, I've
- 35:35Speaker 2: been printed but not sold?
- 35:36Speaker 1: According to filings, he searched the remaining tickets to find
- 35:40Speaker 1: the winner, clocked down in the shift removed the circle
- 35:43Speaker 1: came into form and bought the leftover tickets himself, including
- 35:46Speaker 1: the winner, from another employee for ten dollars. So that's
- 35:50Speaker 1: this is very interesting. There's got to be more to
- 35:52Speaker 1: the story, but it sounds like circle came. Management became
- 35:56Speaker 1: aware the transition transaction shortly after, in order the tickets
- 36:00Speaker 1: be held at the company's corporate offices pending the court's decision.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Who legally owns the tickets I'll tell you right now,
- 36:07Speaker 1: I'll tell you who legally owns it. The guy that
- 36:08Speaker 1: paid for them. The tickets were paid for from one
- 36:11Speaker 1: of the store employees.
- 36:12Speaker 4: That's who owns the tickets.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Who owns the ticket, So now the person that sold
- 36:17Speaker 1: it to the other person is like a couple of
- 36:19Speaker 1: things going on going on here.
- 36:20Speaker 2: But I find this interesting. The guy that argue they
- 36:25Speaker 2: want the money did and collect them.
- 36:27Speaker 1: The guy that five dollars saying he was going to
- 36:29Speaker 1: come back to the story forgot. Now you have the
- 36:32Speaker 1: employee saying he got it. He's split it with another employee.
- 36:34Speaker 1: With that, you know, this is uh. I believe that's
- 36:37Speaker 1: one of the winners.
- 36:38Speaker 4: I hope they just chop it up.
- 36:40Speaker 3: I hope they chop up, just chop it up because
- 36:42Speaker 3: none of it exists without the other. Right, if the
- 36:45Speaker 3: guy that isn't short on the money line, he's got
- 36:47Speaker 3: the money line, he's got the ticket.
- 36:49Speaker 4: Right the story, Like.
- 36:51Speaker 1: John, I want to finish with a story that I
- 36:53Speaker 1: think people will really find the top that.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Yes, yes, his story all right blows away.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Come on, almost any story we've ever talked about on
- 37:02Speaker 1: the show. Maybe the guy blowing three hundred and fifty
- 37:05Speaker 1: million our buddy there, not that one.
- 37:07Speaker 2: This is an unbelievable story.
- 37:09Speaker 4: Okay, So we have a.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Friend, you and I. We're not going to mention his name.
- 37:12Speaker 2: He's in his eighties. Okay, he's eighty four.
- 37:15Speaker 4: I know him.
- 37:15Speaker 2: And he was away. He was away for a while
- 37:19Speaker 2: at jail. Yep, so he was away. This is back
- 37:22Speaker 2: in the late seven early early in the early eighties.
- 37:25Speaker 2: He was in jail. And he's in a federal jail. Yep,
- 37:28Speaker 2: good nice.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Jail, what they call camp.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Yeah, he's hitting golf balls into the ocean.
- 37:32Speaker 4: Literally literally literally this this was the scene.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Out of Good Fellows cooking steaks, bringing shrimp and lobster in. Literally,
- 37:39Speaker 1: his son would bring a lobster in, they would cook
- 37:40Speaker 1: it up and then you know he had a lot
- 37:43Speaker 1: of money to add he had millions of dollars himself.
- 37:45Speaker 2: But one of the guys he went away with.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Was a career criminal bank robber, and he finally got caught.
- 37:53Speaker 1: He wound up being really good friends with the guy though,
- 37:55Speaker 1: and he actually talked him into wait a minute, you
- 37:58Speaker 1: have money, why are you still He's just he just
- 38:00Speaker 1: likes to rob banks. It's touch a challenge to rob banks.
- 38:03Speaker 1: They go this is back on the before those cameras
- 38:05Speaker 1: in every corner. They would go into the roofs, and
- 38:08Speaker 1: he knew he knew where certain.
- 38:10Speaker 4: Even Yeah, I know, this is very sophisticated. So I
- 38:14Speaker 4: love this.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Yeah, So he gets out of jail.
- 38:17Speaker 1: He gets out of jail, and him and our friend
- 38:21Speaker 1: become very good friends over the years. And the guy
- 38:24Speaker 1: was so triple Georgie. He spend them millions of dollars
- 38:27Speaker 1: on anything. Now he's spend a lot of cash.
- 38:29Speaker 2: And but he did go to jail for got caught
- 38:32Speaker 2: for something. But obviously they didn't catch all his money.
- 38:35Speaker 2: He dies. What do you think happens? His daughter calls
- 38:40Speaker 2: our friend because they knew that.
- 38:41Speaker 1: They became best friends the next ten years and the
- 38:44Speaker 1: daughter knew that he was very wealthy too.
- 38:46Speaker 2: He's not going to be he's the person to call yep.
- 38:48Speaker 1: But it's over money, it's over green cash.
- 38:52Speaker 2: She said.
- 38:54Speaker 1: I don't know what to do. But myself and my
- 38:58Speaker 1: husband are both attorneys now. Our father took very good
- 39:01Speaker 1: care of us or our college, and we're attorneys. And
- 39:05Speaker 1: my other brother's an attorney. So my brother in law,
- 39:08Speaker 1: I would like to meet with you and talk to
- 39:09Speaker 1: you about something. They meet with him and talk to him. Now,
- 39:12Speaker 1: this is thirty five years. We could talk about this now.
- 39:14Speaker 1: I try to tell him. I want him to come
- 39:15Speaker 1: on and tell the story. Yeah, we have about twenty
- 39:20Speaker 1: million dollars in cash and we want to turn it
- 39:22Speaker 1: into the government.
- 39:24Speaker 2: He's like, what.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Dad had about twenty million in cash, and he just
- 39:31Speaker 1: we don't want this money. I'm afraid it's older money,
- 39:33Speaker 1: it's dirty money, it's money that he probably stole, and
- 39:36Speaker 1: we don't want this money. I don't know what to
- 39:38Speaker 1: do with this twenty million, about twenty a little bit
- 39:40Speaker 1: less nineteen and a half million. We don't know what
- 39:43Speaker 1: to do with it, and we think we should turn
- 39:45Speaker 1: it in, but we don't want to get our family
- 39:47Speaker 1: in trouble.
- 39:48Speaker 2: We don't want to ruin our name. We don't want
- 39:50Speaker 2: to what do you think?
- 39:51Speaker 1: And of course he's a knock around guy, even though
- 39:53Speaker 1: he's really wealthy himself.
- 39:54Speaker 2: He's like, are you even knucklehead's crazy? Turn the money in? Yeah?
- 40:00Speaker 1: By the way I say it's old money, then at
- 40:02Speaker 1: the time, it wasn't old money. It was bills that
- 40:04Speaker 1: were about ten years old, fifteen years old, real big deal.
- 40:07Speaker 1: He didn't get rid of them easy. And yeah, he
- 40:10Speaker 1: wanted to turn They wanted to turn the money in,
- 40:13Speaker 1: and I just thought it was unbelievable.
- 40:15Speaker 4: They turned this stop, they stopped the ruined my whole week.
- 40:20Speaker 2: He turned in nineteen and a half million. No, he
- 40:23Speaker 2: told me the story.
- 40:24Speaker 1: I was like, wow, they we don't want to get
- 40:26Speaker 1: in any trouble, we don't want to spend money. And
- 40:28Speaker 1: them saying we were spending money. Now we owe tax
- 40:30Speaker 1: money on the money, or we owe old money, and
- 40:32Speaker 1: they turned the money in.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:34Speaker 1: I want to get him on the show to tell it,
- 40:36Speaker 1: because the way he tells it just better.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Can we make this movie? I have the guy to
- 40:40Speaker 3: put the money up for the movie. I'm not even kidding.
- 40:42Speaker 4: This would be a great movie.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Yeah, bank, Robert, this is a movie. He spent about
- 40:46Speaker 1: five years in jail with our friend. Our friend was
- 40:48Speaker 1: in there for two years. He spent five years, got
- 40:50Speaker 1: out wounded up being best friends with him so much
- 40:53Speaker 1: so because he owned me, owned many restaurants, he owned,
- 40:55Speaker 1: he owned many businesses.
- 40:57Speaker 4: This is what I'm thinking of. Yeah, okay, he owned.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Many successful Yeah.
- 41:01Speaker 1: And and the family came to him because they knew
- 41:04Speaker 1: he didn't have any other friends that they told that
- 41:06Speaker 1: someone would.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Try to rob him on it, right. He wouldn't, right,
- 41:09Speaker 2: And he tried to talk them out of it. He said, no,
- 41:11Speaker 2: you can't turn the money yet.
- 41:13Speaker 1: You cannot turn the money yet, like you know, they
- 41:16Speaker 1: turned the nineteen and a half million in.
- 41:19Speaker 2: That's all I want to say. They could have played
- 41:21Speaker 2: lots of poker tournaments with it.
- 41:22Speaker 4: You're not to make tournaments.
- 41:23Speaker 3: We could have done all the high roller events bill
- 41:26Speaker 3: and then some high roller tournaments for life.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Crazy guys, We'll see you next week on wiscratch us.
- 41:34Speaker 4: Oh my god, seriously, we can make that movie. Let's
- 41:37Speaker 4: make that
