- 0:06Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 0:09Speaker 1: It is time now for one on one with the
- 0:11Speaker 1: pro and from Early Bird Market. We have Tory and
- 0:14Speaker 1: Ronan in with this today. How are we doing, ladies,
- 0:17Speaker 1: We're good.
- 0:18Speaker 2: How are you? Tom?
- 0:19Speaker 1: Super duper? I understand birthday parties in the air.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Yes, the Early Bird Market second birthday party is coming
- 0:24Speaker 3: up this Saturday.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Hard to believe, huh, I know.
- 0:27Speaker 2: It seems like it's went by so fast.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I understand. You got a special attraction with a special
- 0:31Speaker 1: little young entrepreneur.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Ronan, tell us what you're doing on this weekend?
- 0:35Speaker 1: Lemonnade lemonade? Yeah? Why great?
- 0:40Speaker 2: Special about your lemonade honey flavor. It's going to have
- 0:43Speaker 2: different flavors.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Huh okay, so like lemonade, sweet lemonade, extra sweet lemonade
- 0:50Speaker 1: with cherry. You're gonna have that.
- 0:53Speaker 2: We're gonna have fruit punch. We're gonna have raspberry and strawberry.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Wow. We you got it made. Keeping it out like
- 1:00Speaker 1: that with all different kinds of varieties. Who would not
- 1:03Speaker 1: want ice cold lemonade with extra flavor?
- 1:06Speaker 3: And it's going to be like a pretty cool Saturday
- 1:09Speaker 3: compared to what it's typically.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Been Yeah, kind of like what it was last Saturday. Like,
- 1:13Speaker 2: it's been reasonable. So I'm kind of excited about that.
- 1:16Speaker 1: That is great. Now, tell everybody where the Early Bird
- 1:19Speaker 1: Market is in town if they haven't been by to
- 1:21Speaker 1: see you yet.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Of course.
- 1:22Speaker 3: So we are in downtown Bartlesville, inside of the Itio building.
- 1:26Speaker 2: We're a caddy corner.
- 1:27Speaker 3: From Hideaway Pizza and we share the same building as Bambinos. Okay,
- 1:31Speaker 3: the address is one on one Southeast Frank Phillips Boulevard.
- 1:34Speaker 1: All right. If you come in from the west side,
- 1:37Speaker 1: it's a quicker route.
- 1:38Speaker 2: It is a quicker route. It is a quicker route.
- 1:40Speaker 3: There's two entrances, one on the Frank Phillips side and
- 1:42Speaker 3: one on the Johnstone So you come in the Johnstone route,
- 1:44Speaker 3: it's a whole lot easier.
- 1:46Speaker 1: It sure is. But I'll tell you what you've grown.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I mean, first of all, you've got a nice, sweet
- 1:51Speaker 1: little area for your store. But the thing is, the
- 1:55Speaker 1: number of products just seems to multiply. Yeah, you've got
- 1:59Speaker 1: almost as many products as she has lemonade.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Now, we have so much, and we keep on adding
- 2:06Speaker 3: more and more and more. Just this past week we
- 2:09Speaker 3: got a pork provider, which is something that we've been
- 2:11Speaker 3: missing for so long, and I'm super excited about that.
- 2:14Speaker 3: And then we also just a gentleman came in this
- 2:18Speaker 3: past week and introduced himself to me, and he provides
- 2:22Speaker 3: and creates his own cutting boards and charcuterie boards, and
- 2:26Speaker 3: he even has his own like wood.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Polish, so fits right in with everything.
- 2:31Speaker 3: And it was beautiful, it was great craftsmanship. And I said, yes, absolutely,
- 2:35Speaker 3: we have to have you in here.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Great. So we have everything in there, I mean everything.
- 2:40Speaker 1: We have meat, we have eggs, we have grain, we
- 2:44Speaker 1: have room, we have vegetables freshly canned, fresh from the farm,
- 2:49Speaker 1: from the farm, everything is farmed pretty much the.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Table, yes, farm to table as much as we possibly
- 2:55Speaker 3: can get.
- 2:55Speaker 1: And it's all locally grown folks. Yes, so you know
- 2:59Speaker 1: when you shop there, you're doing full circle right here
- 3:01Speaker 1: in the community.
- 3:02Speaker 2: That's right.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Everything is staying within the community. The money is circling
- 3:05Speaker 3: within the community and staying within the community supporting one another.
- 3:08Speaker 1: That is awesome, That is really truly awesome. You have
- 3:12Speaker 1: different kinds of keys, coffees and a few other things
- 3:15Speaker 1: that other folks might not really expect, true, but they're
- 3:19Speaker 1: grown and mate.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Here exactly exactly it really is.
- 3:24Speaker 3: It's all about creating a little ecosystem where we're all
- 3:27Speaker 3: thriving and working together as much as we possibly can.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Well that's great, and you're quite a hit with
- 3:33Speaker 1: the folks at the farmers Market. Yes, you kind of
- 3:36Speaker 1: work with symbiotically.
- 3:37Speaker 2: We do work symbiotically.
- 3:38Speaker 3: I have very close relationships with many of the people there,
- 3:42Speaker 3: and almost everyone within that area is almost everyone inside
- 3:47Speaker 3: of the Farmer's Market is a part of my store.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Oh wow, that is great, either being a vendor or
- 3:52Speaker 1: a customer, I.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Guess exactly both.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, now this is really good. You've been doing
- 3:57Speaker 1: this for now two years. And in the beginning, did
- 4:01Speaker 1: you think you'd be thriving.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Like this or did you think I thought?
- 4:05Speaker 3: Honestly, when I first started, I was a little nervous
- 4:08Speaker 3: that I would take a while because it was a
- 4:11Speaker 3: new concept to Martlesville. It was I'm the very first
- 4:15Speaker 3: farm hub here in Martlesville, and the refillery was a
- 4:18Speaker 3: brand new concept just all together.
- 4:21Speaker 2: No one.
- 4:21Speaker 3: It's been done in a couple of areas nearby, and
- 4:24Speaker 3: I kind of took that idea made up.
- 4:26Speaker 2: My own side of the store, so I was like, oh.
- 4:28Speaker 3: No, how this is going to hit the instant the
- 4:30Speaker 3: refillery started catching wind, people were like, oh my goodness,
- 4:34Speaker 3: we can come and get clean regenerative products, grains, rice,
- 4:40Speaker 3: all that stuff here inside of the store and not
- 4:42Speaker 3: have to travel to Tulsa, not have to order in
- 4:44Speaker 3: bulk from other locations.
- 4:46Speaker 2: So that was a really nice thing to have.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Now you also have nuts and medicine, Yes, we do.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It goes from that extreme that that that end of
- 4:57Speaker 1: the spectrums. It really does. I got to tell you, folks,
- 5:01Speaker 1: when you go in, expect the unexpected. That's it's all
- 5:05Speaker 1: I can tell you is expect the unexpected, and you'll
- 5:07Speaker 1: be pleasantly surprised.
- 5:09Speaker 2: You will.
- 5:09Speaker 1: You will because everything is right there, pretty much at
- 5:12Speaker 1: eye level, and it's easy to find. And if you
- 5:15Speaker 1: are looking for something in particular, just ask Corey exactly.
- 5:19Speaker 1: She never leaves.
- 5:20Speaker 3: I am there to answer any and all of your questions.
- 5:23Speaker 3: I may not know every single answer, but I can
- 5:26Speaker 3: easily get the answers. I have very good, very clear
- 5:30Speaker 3: communication with all of my vendors, every single one of them.
- 5:34Speaker 3: I'm able to reach out to and almost always get
- 5:37Speaker 3: an immediate response, if not just a quick response later.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Now when we talk eggs, we're not talking just chicken eggs.
- 5:42Speaker 1: You've got white bridy, I do so right.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Now we have duck chicken and quell eggs.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Okay, yes, so you know if you're looking for something
- 5:49Speaker 1: a little bit buried, it's going to be there too.
- 5:51Speaker 3: It's perfect because there's lots of people who have chicken
- 5:53Speaker 3: egg allergies that can't easily find somehow like exactly, and
- 5:59Speaker 3: I duckaches and I have quil egs to be able
- 6:01Speaker 3: to help with both signs.
- 6:02Speaker 1: My goodness. Six. And you have fresh beef products, yes,
- 6:05Speaker 1: and it's right there in the free How many freezers
- 6:07Speaker 1: do you have? Like five?
- 6:08Speaker 3: I have four very large freezers and I'm trying to
- 6:11Speaker 3: figure out how to fit a fifth one.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Okay, actually thought I knew you had four, but I thought.
- 6:15Speaker 2: You were working on the I am working on the
- 6:16Speaker 2: fifth one.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And everything is right there. You just lift or look
- 6:20Speaker 1: or look and lift, yes, and you're going to find
- 6:23Speaker 1: it there. Well, three products too as well. Yes, and
- 6:27Speaker 1: now pork and pork it's on the menu.
- 6:29Speaker 3: And then this week we're going to be starting with
- 6:32Speaker 3: We're going to have someone starting with popsicles that have
- 6:35Speaker 3: dairy free options and dairy options, so it's going to
- 6:37Speaker 3: be a lot of fun.
- 6:38Speaker 2: We're really excited.
- 6:39Speaker 1: About that you made a hit with popsicles.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Oh yes, now she loves popsicles. She's been waiting for me.
- 6:47Speaker 1: So when is the birthday party going to take place
- 6:49Speaker 1: with It's the exact day, So is.
- 6:51Speaker 3: This Saturday, August eighth, And it's going to be during
- 6:53Speaker 3: my opening hours from ten to three pm.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Okay, and Ronan's going to have the lemonade.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Stay Brown's gonna have eliminade.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Say, lots of flavors, yes.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Lots of flavors.
- 7:04Speaker 3: And then we're also gonna have a fun face paint
- 7:07Speaker 3: painter there as well, So it's gonna be a fun
- 7:09Speaker 3: family experience.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Bring your kids.
- 7:11Speaker 3: I am currently renting a loft in that same building now,
- 7:15Speaker 3: so my reach has expanded, so I use that area
- 7:18Speaker 3: for like backstock and stuff and meeting areas, classes and
- 7:21Speaker 3: all that. I'm still getting it all put together. But
- 7:24Speaker 3: this weekend I'm gonna be using it for a meet
- 7:27Speaker 3: and greet some of my vendors where you're gonna be
- 7:29Speaker 3: able to sample some of their products. There's gonna be
- 7:31Speaker 3: a face painter up there. We're gonna have a DJ
- 7:33Speaker 3: that's gonna be playing.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Some fun music for the kiddos.
- 7:36Speaker 3: And then Liz, which is my employee and best friend
- 7:39Speaker 3: of twenty years, she's gonna be downstairs running the store
- 7:41Speaker 3: and I'm gonna be running around like a chicken with
- 7:43Speaker 3: my head cut off between everything. But it's gonna be
- 7:46Speaker 3: a lot of fun. I'm really excited. I've been working
- 7:48Speaker 3: really hard towards this and it's too like, yes, we're
- 7:52Speaker 3: celebrating two years in business. It's very important. I think
- 7:56Speaker 3: that's a huge milestone for the store. However, it's more
- 7:59Speaker 3: of a celebration for the fact that it's for everyone
- 8:04Speaker 3: who has supported the store to get it to where
- 8:06Speaker 3: it is, because without the customers, without my makers, without
- 8:10Speaker 3: my farmers, without everyone involved, without my employees and staff,
- 8:16Speaker 3: I would not be where I'm at.
- 8:17Speaker 1: So it is pretty sweete that's a pretty sweet ecosystem
- 8:20Speaker 1: you got going on here.
- 8:21Speaker 3: If I want to give back to the community as
- 8:24Speaker 3: much as I can in every way possible, and this
- 8:26Speaker 3: is just a thank you to the community.
- 8:28Speaker 1: This is nice once again, folks. That is going to
- 8:30Speaker 1: be this Saturday, the eighth, and that is Early Bird
- 8:34Speaker 1: Market downtown and you don't want to miss this extravaganza.
- 8:39Speaker 2: No you don't. It's going to be so much fun.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Oh it is, It truly is. And you know, I
- 8:46Speaker 1: sing your praises whenever somebody says, boy, I sure wish
- 8:48Speaker 1: they had something natural around here right downtown.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 8:52Speaker 1: It's nice, young lady, take Cary whatever you want, Hill
- 8:56Speaker 1: show you where it is. And it's great. And I
- 8:59Speaker 1: think a lot people have kind of breathed a sigh
- 9:02Speaker 1: of relief because they thought they'd have to go out
- 9:03Speaker 1: of town. They'd have to go to you know, Tulsa
- 9:06Speaker 1: or the Old Walsall place or something like that. Yeah,
- 9:09Speaker 1: and they really didn't want to. They wanted something to
- 9:12Speaker 1: want something wrong at home.
- 9:14Speaker 2: They want to hear at home where they're able to
- 9:16Speaker 2: get it excessively. And that's that's.
- 9:18Speaker 3: One of the beautiful things. I've been hit a lot lately.
- 9:22Speaker 3: I've been looking at a lot of old videos from
- 9:26Speaker 3: kind of reminiscing from where I was to where I
- 9:28Speaker 3: am now and how much we've grown, and you know,
- 9:30Speaker 3: the struggle buses.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Between just owning a business.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Oh yeah, And it humbled me a lot because a
- 9:37Speaker 3: lot of my customers are coming in and saying this
- 9:39Speaker 3: is this is exactly.
- 9:40Speaker 2: What Bartlesville needed.
- 9:42Speaker 3: You're filling a hole in the community, and it hits
- 9:45Speaker 3: me in the heart. It shows me that the purpose
- 9:48Speaker 3: that is mine is being fulfilled properly.
- 9:51Speaker 2: And I'm I'm following in the direction I need to
- 9:53Speaker 2: be going.
- 9:54Speaker 1: So and now you have regulars. I do have regular
- 9:57Speaker 1: Isn't that nice?
- 9:58Speaker 2: It is nice.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I know everybody by name, they know you by name,
- 10:01Speaker 1: and it's a pretty sweet little thing in it is.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I love it all right. So if you've ever been there,
- 10:06Speaker 1: go to the birthday celebration this Saturday. If you've never
- 10:09Speaker 1: been there, here's your opportunity to invite yourself to the
- 10:13Speaker 1: party of all parties, and of course find yourself with
- 10:16Speaker 1: something very nice, very nutritious, something very very very homegrown,
- 10:21Speaker 1: and something that supports our entire community. That's wonderful.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Thank you, Tom.
- 10:26Speaker 1: You've got such a great story and a wonderful store,
- 10:30Speaker 1: Early Bird Market. Tell everybody where they can find you
- 10:32Speaker 1: once again.
- 10:33Speaker 3: The address is one on one Southeast Frank Phillips and
- 10:35Speaker 3: we're on the corner of Johnstone and Frank Phillips.
- 10:37Speaker 1: All right, do you have a social media page?
- 10:40Speaker 3: Yes, so I have social media on TikTok, I have
- 10:44Speaker 3: it on Facebook, and I have.
- 10:46Speaker 2: It on Instagram.
- 10:47Speaker 3: You just search early bird Market and they will all
- 10:49Speaker 3: pop up. And then I have a website that is
- 10:51Speaker 3: earlybird marketokay dot com, and I'll show you all the
- 10:54Speaker 3: products that we have available inside the store.
- 10:56Speaker 1: And it'll tell you the story of it so that
- 10:58Speaker 1: you can remember instead of say, oh, guys, I forgot
- 11:01Speaker 1: that part. Yes, no, yeah you can, you can. You
- 11:04Speaker 1: can just take it all in. Hey, thanks for being
- 11:06Speaker 1: with us.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Thank you, Tom Ronan.
- 11:07Speaker 1: You gotta have fun Saturday with the lemonade stand. Yes
- 11:11Speaker 1: you are. You're just fun and with me all right.
