- 0:02Yo. You think when jazz musicians got high back in the day, they
- 0:06would have like scat battles, you know what I mean, like you know,
- 0:11got hired drunk with your homies, like everybody want to sit around and
- 0:14be a rapper, right, but like in the jazz times, they was
- 0:17probably scatting or something, you know what I mean, like like the corner
- 0:22like like yo, son, yo, hold on, hold on, hold
- 0:27on, hold up. It sounds like yo, man, it's been uh,
- 0:39it's been a dope week. Man. My daughter's in her little theater
- 0:42camp man role in the play out, so super hype about that. She
- 0:50I just got back from her volleyball game they just won and she was going
- 0:53hammertime. Yes, sir, how do you how do you? How did
- 0:58you like that come the fruition? Did you like push like artistry in like
- 1:03sports on Earth? That's just something she wanted to do and you just supported
- 1:07it kind of thing. So that's a great question, and that's actually a
- 1:11pretty dope story. So my daughter did theater her first year in middle school,
- 1:18right, and then when we went to her first like little plaything,
- 1:23she was like a background character, like she had one line, like she
- 1:26was just helping kind of more behind the scenes than anything, And like I
- 1:30saw the other people that were singing, and it was like very evident that
- 1:36she would have been the best singer there, you know what I mean,
- 1:38no bias and yeah, no bias, Like it's just from hearing them and
- 1:42knowing how her voice is. I'm like, dang, why didn't she even
- 1:46try it? You know, like did she try and not get it?
- 1:49Or like what's the situation? Then I end up finding out that she just
- 1:52didn't even go out for none of that because she thought for some reason they
- 1:56were going to be better than they were and she was kind of scared,
- 1:57you know what I mean. And I was like, hey, like I'm
- 2:00not just telling you this because i'm your dad, but you you could sing
- 2:05like for real, for real if you if you can, And I'm like,
- 2:07if that interests you, then you know what I'm saying, then you
- 2:12should pursue it, because I'm not I'm not just saying it. You could
- 2:15really excel at it, you know what I mean. Like if it might
- 2:16not be right off the bat, but if you really try, you'll get
- 2:21really good at it. So the next thing that the next time they had
- 2:24to play she actually like tried out and sang and her teacher was like,
- 2:29Yo, you could sing this whole time, Like what the heck, you
- 2:30know what I'm saying. She had been there a whole year already and just
- 2:34never saying you know. So she got the lead in that play and she
- 2:39did that. She was really good, and her teacher was like, Yo,
- 2:43you should go to this camp that we're doing where they're gonna do high
- 2:46school musical too, and then they're gonna do a production of it at the
- 2:50end of the camp, like through the theater, but it's like an actual
- 2:53event, like anybody could go, you know what I'm saying. So they
- 2:58had literally had auditions the first day of the camp. It's a two week
- 3:01camp. First day they have auditions, she was pretty confident that she was
- 3:07gonna get the main role, if not something like one of the main roles,
- 3:09And the next day they had to do a call back with one other
- 3:13girl and then she got the role. Yeah you gotta clap it up.
- 3:16Fact. But that's major, bro, that's major. That's following your dream
- 3:23right there, and like working for it, being good at it. Yeah.
- 3:27And the part that she loves about it is that everybody there is serious
- 3:31because in the school it's a class, like some people just get thrown in.
- 3:35Yeah they thought anybody and I did that ship and that suck. She
- 3:38loves the fact that everybody that's there right now is serious. Everybody that's there
- 3:43right now, like they paid to be there, you know what I'm saying,
- 3:45So they're not there to mess around. You know what I'm saying that
- 3:47we talk about, bro, when you're when you're around the right caliber of
- 3:51a crowd that's doing the things that you aspire to do, that she changes
- 3:54your game. It's like, oh, and it elevates you to be as
- 3:58good as them. Yeah, facts, that's that's one hundred percent true.
- 4:00Um, a lot of times you don't you're not even aware of, like
- 4:04the way other people do things, if you don't put yourself around people that's
- 4:09doing, you know, different things and actually like pursuing things purpose. It's
- 4:15the thing we've been talking about kind of lately, like you know, the
- 4:17day dreamers and people that just really like to talk. You know what I'm
- 4:21saying, And that's that's all good and well. And manifestation is a thing,
- 4:28you know what I'm saying. And I'm not doubting that, but at
- 4:30the same time, action, at the end of the day, is what
- 4:32really makes stuff move. You know what I'm saying. You can't just keep
- 4:35talking about what you're gonna do or sell yourself because you don't have to sell
- 4:41yourself. If you're about action, people are just gonna know, and then
- 4:45the word is gonna spread. And if you know they're looking for a verification
- 4:49on you, the other person is gonna say, hey, you know,
- 4:51if he says something, he's gonna do it. You know, that's why
- 4:57you gotta be U. I feel an important trait to have is being a
- 5:02man of your word and following through with the ship you're saying to do,
- 5:06whether it's something small or something being. The way you do everything is the
- 5:11way you do anything. How I forgot that quote. Yeah, the way
- 5:15you do something is the way you do everything. You know what I'm saying.
- 5:18Yeah, the way you do anything is the way you do everything,
- 5:24everything with the same kind of effort and follow through and diligence as you would
- 5:29regardless of the size. Yeah, yeah, yeah, man, there's always
- 5:38that element to a relationship, even just kind of seeing that in other people
- 5:44as well, and not just recognizing it in yourself and finding ways to make
- 5:48things happen, but also like seeing that those people are actually trying to make
- 5:53stuff happen, you know what I mean. Like it's it's about that action.
- 5:56Like I said, at the end of the day, somebody could show
- 5:59you what they're about better than they can tell you, you know what I'm
- 6:01saying. And it's not to say that everybody. That doesn't mean your standard
- 6:08is wrong or whatever. It's it's that thing that I always like to talk
- 6:10about where like if you're looking at levels, like you should look at them
- 6:14sideways, like they're all on an even plane, but they're just in different
- 6:16positions. You know. It's not that anybody's like better or above anybody.
- 6:20It's just you're in a different lane. You know what I'm saying. A
- 6:24lane isn't higher than another lane. It's just a different lane. Facts,
- 6:29facts, And that kind of goes to like I wouldbout to say, that
- 6:33kind of goes to kind of like something that he was trying to talk on
- 6:36today. But you know, I posted the status um yesterday that basically said,
- 6:42like you can want the best for someone and know that dealing with them
- 6:46personally isn't what's best for you, and Summer repeat it just in case y'all
- 6:51didn't hear me. You can want the best for someone and know that dealing
- 6:56with them personally isn't what's best for you. And you know, for me,
- 7:02I think about that all the time because it's like there's a lot of
- 7:04people that like I kind of like don't deal with anymore just because it's you
- 7:09know, it's we're not in the same lane kind of like you just said
- 7:12less. But at the same time, it's like I still like, you
- 7:14know, when I see you doing good, I'm you know, I'm saying
- 7:17big up in it, you know what I mean. I love it,
- 7:19But that doesn't mean I have to like be you know what I'm saying,
- 7:24you gotta be in my direct circle or I gotta be best friends with you.
- 7:27It's just, you know, I want the best for you, but
- 7:29you know, being around you probably isn't what's best for me. You know.
- 7:33Yeah, I feel that. It's always like a tough thing and something
- 7:39that I had a big issue with, like growing up, it's like feeling
- 7:43like you're not real because you're you're not like kind of like trying to bring
- 7:47those people along, you know what I mean. And it's like realizing that
- 7:51everybody got their own life and you just gotta let the ships fall where they
- 7:55may, because you know you can't. You know, if you're a crutch,
- 8:00You're literally you're a crutch. Like as soon as you're not there anymore,
- 8:03that think. You know what I'm saying, that person can't walk anymore
- 8:05because they need to crutch. Is that simple? Like you gotta let people
- 8:09do what they're gonna do, you know what I'm saying. Either they're gonna
- 8:11figure out how to walk and run again, or they're just gonna keep limping
- 8:15for the rest of their life. So with that being said, how do
- 8:20you how do we navigate moving people from your life that are destructive to themselves
- 8:26and to others? I feel like you just got to treat it like like
- 8:30how they treat firing somebody. It's like, make sure that you document the
- 8:37situations with the person, make sure they're aware what they're doing is not what
- 8:43you expect, you know what I'm saying. And after a few times and
- 8:46they show a pattern, it's like, Yo, it's X, Y and
- 8:48Z, that's it, you know what I mean. Like, at that
- 8:52point, I feel like they could be mad about it or whatever, but
- 8:54you know, it's just literally, it's just facts, you know what I'm
- 8:58saying. And it goes back to the thing that I always talk about,
- 9:01like everybody, like, just because that person isn't for you, doesn't mean
- 9:05that you're better than them. But at the same time, you have a
- 9:09specific type of person that you are in, a specific type of person that
- 9:13you are happy around, more comfortable around, or more conducive for you to
- 9:18have a more productive life. All those things have to be in those person
- 9:22that in those people that you let around you. So it's not a you
- 9:28know, like I said, it's not a thing of oh I'm better than
- 9:31you or whatever the case is. It's just, hey, this is my
- 9:33goals. These are my goals. This is what I'm trying to do.
- 9:37If you don't fit that scenario and you don't carry the same qualities that I'm
- 9:41carrying, then that's it. That's an important that's an important thing to look
- 9:50at. And it's funny that we talked about this and I thought I was
- 9:52going to listen and because I really had during the whole week before this topic
- 9:58was brought up, I really had a talk about. But then today I
- 10:01was in two sides of the spectrum. I was observing a friend who same
- 10:07thing, who didn't just keep up, and even the lanes next to me,
- 10:13I just lost him somewhere right, and I'm looking at it, but
- 10:16I'm like, yoh, this is still someone who I was really close with,
- 10:18And it's like, why am I, you know, comparing that holding
- 10:22me back? At the same time that you think about it, it's like
- 10:24how after all these years you start analyzing different relations to you learn to recognize
- 10:31things early. And if you recognize that something's just on change, that's not
- 10:35anything wrong until you know there's a different kind of change. So that's like
- 10:41the lane of I feel like it's not you know, where a different lanes
- 10:46things. And then there's the ones where I just don't agree with and early
- 10:52on with conversations and you just discussed different morals and you know, just like
- 11:00choices, and you can immediately recognize when someone's talking early on in conversations what
- 11:07are their core values are? And I think that's an easy way to guide
- 11:11how deep that relationship gets. Do you feel like and I mean this is
- 11:18a question to either of you, do y'all feel like you can tell a
- 11:22lot about a person who they keep around them. I feel like yes and
- 11:31no and yeah, yes, I know too. And basically that's something that
- 11:37really just goes to what you are willing to tolerate, you know what I'm
- 11:43saying, Like what kind It kind of goes back to that thing we were
- 11:46talking about, like what do you what is your you know, pillars that
- 11:52you need those people to be in in order for them to fit into your
- 11:54life, Like what are those things and what are the things that they have
- 11:58to do to fall out of that? You know what I mean? And
- 12:01as long as it don't fall out of that, it don't really matter.
- 12:03Because to me, it's like something we've kind of talked about before, Like
- 12:09I got certain friends that like I'll hit them up to play basketball and the
- 12:11play basketball only you know what I mean, And it's like that's where our
- 12:16relationship is, you know what I mean. Maybe maybe nothing happened in the
- 12:20past, and that's just how I feel like it should stay because that's where
- 12:24it works, you know what I mean, Maybe something did happen in the
- 12:26past, and it's like, Yo, this is I'll trust you to this
- 12:31level, you know what I mean, right, same thing with other things,
- 12:33Like you got certain friends that you'll go on trips with, you know
- 12:37what I mean, because you'll know, you know, okay, they're gonna
- 12:39hold up their end of the bargain with the bread. They're not gonna,
- 12:43you know, run out of money in the middle of the trip. They're
- 12:46not gonna be you know, running late for everything you're trying to do,
- 12:48you know what I mean. You might have another friend that you're cooler with
- 12:52than your trip friends, you know what I mean. But it's just sometimes
- 12:56it just don't them exactly, you know what you know, you you bring
- 13:01a great point, and I just want to throw us analogy in there because
- 13:05it's something I've been thinking about for a while and you're exactly describing what I've
- 13:11been thinking about. It's like everybody thinks you have like one core thing,
- 13:16like one thing that makes your friendships with people, and it's and it's not
- 13:20like that. It's like it is one core thing, but it's supported it
- 13:24like it's a roof and it's supported by beings of support, and each one
- 13:28of those beams are different, and that supports what maintains your relationships with people.
- 13:33Having all those beams that support it, and it's okay to have all
- 13:37those different varieties of values that your friendships bring to support that kind of thing,
- 13:43and there's negative ones with all of that. And what you said I
- 13:46like too because it makes me think of the next point of like you also
- 13:50got to take responsibility in that and you have to sacrifice as a friend too,
- 13:54you know what I'm saying. Like, for example, like my friends
- 13:58like from Wentworth, if you if you hear us talking to each other,
- 14:01you would think, like you would kind of be like yo, like I
- 14:03have to get in the middle of this at some point, you know what
- 14:07I mean. It's like that's just how we talk to each other, like
- 14:09the whole time, Like we're just super rowdy arguments about you know what I'm
- 14:16saying, Like you randomly, you know, say oh you soft, you
- 14:20know what I'm saying. It's a different word for soft, you know what
- 14:22I'm saying. And it's like, oh, what you're talking about this day?
- 14:26At that time? I remember you got stuff. This is like you
- 14:28know what I'm saying. Like it's crazy. You know, there are certain
- 14:31friends that I know that they cannot take that kind of joking. You know
- 14:37what I mean, if I if I just if I'm if I'm coming from
- 14:41the point of view of, oh, this is how I am, you
- 14:43just got to deal with it. I'm the jerk, you know what I'm
- 14:46saying, because everybody don't joke like that. If you just got to sacrifice,
- 14:50not at all. If you just got to sacrifice one aspect of something
- 14:54you'd like to do to have a cool relationship with somebody, do it.
- 14:58If it's it's a worthy relationship, it's worth that sacrifice and it be Then
- 15:05people that want to be one hundred percent in every relationship that is those are
- 15:09the type of people that I don't mess with, you know what I'm saying.
- 15:11Like the people that their problems are way more important than everybody else's.
- 15:16You know, if you tell them something, they got a topic with another
- 15:20story of how it was worse for them, you know what I mean,
- 15:22Like everybody, people that always bring it back to themselves. Those are just
- 15:26not my type of people, you know what I mean. But for example,
- 15:30like a lot of people that are great and bring a lot of innovation
- 15:35and change just to the world are those type of people. They're super needy,
- 15:39They're always worried about them, and they're focused. There's they have the
- 15:43mentality of what I'm doing is more important than what all these other people are
- 15:46doing. But a lot of the times you could argue that they're right,
- 15:52you know what I'm saying, people don't want to accept that, you know
- 15:54what I mean. People want to think like, oh, no, my
- 15:56time is just as valuable as yours and us o, bro, you know
- 16:00what I'm saying. Like you you you know, if if somebody's you know,
- 16:04producing ten times, twenty times, a hundred times what you're producing,
- 16:10your time is not worth the same as theirs, you know what I mean?
- 16:12Like, yeah, you gotta have you gotta be egoists to understand that.
- 16:17It's the same thing of like people saying like they should get paid a
- 16:18certain amount of an hour for certain things. It's like, yo, if
- 16:22if whatever you do is something that somebody can learn in a day, then
- 16:25you're not gonna get paid a lot of money, right, that's what they
- 16:30say. You don't blame you. You don't pay the plumber the bang on
- 16:33the pipes. He paid the plumber to know which piped the bang off exactly?
- 16:37Facts. No. Um. The reason I asked that, though,
- 16:41was because I always think about the that birds of a father feather flock together,
- 16:47like you know what I'm saying, that little quote. And you know,
- 16:49for me, you know, in my experience as anytime, well not
- 16:52any time, but most times that I've gotten like um faded by somebody or
- 16:56something like that, you know, I always have like this confirmation bias kind
- 17:00of going on where I'm like, you know, I kind of should have
- 17:03known, you know what I'm saying, Like you know what I'm saying,
- 17:06like that the signs were all there. I should have known. It's like
- 17:07deal, you know, I see who he's around. I don't deal with
- 17:11this person that he deals with, you know what I mean? And that's
- 17:15my batter cut you off, but just just brought me to a great point.
- 17:18I feel that's exactly what it be like you we and it's not just
- 17:23you, it's everybody in these situations. Obviously we've all done it. Like
- 17:27you see the signs, but in the moment, you don't want to address
- 17:32it because you don't want that uncomfortable situation. And it's like, nah,
- 17:36bro, you you go through this uncomfortable situation one time. If you're wrong,
- 17:41it's not gonna be uncomfortable because they're gonna get it, you know what
- 17:44I'm saying. But if you're right, it is gonna be uncomfortable. But
- 17:45at the same time, you just save yourself whatever's coming down the line,
- 17:48down the line exactly, you know what I'm saying. And a lot of
- 17:52times with people that you carry from the past, it'd be hard to to
- 17:59you know, have them moments because like you've already built in so much of
- 18:03a relationship, especially when you know somebody from kids like y'all kind of met
- 18:07each other wrong from the sense of like none of y'all had sense, you
- 18:11know what I mean. So it's like y'all can't start from zero because y'all
- 18:15came y'all came from under zero, you know what I'm saying, right,
- 18:18So sometimes it'd be tough with like those friends. And you know, everybody
- 18:22got that friend in their life that like their significant other people around them,
- 18:25it's like, yo, why are you friends with that person? And then
- 18:27you just be like, you know, it just is what it is.
- 18:30You know. It's kind of like the movie you always see like they got
- 18:36like the Ragtag group. One of them is like a friend of one of
- 18:38the people in the group that shouldn't be along, but they let him come
- 18:41along anyway. He gets them in some crazy situation, but then somehow at
- 18:45the end he's the one that ends up saving them, you know what I
- 18:48mean, like it sacrifice himself exactly. Man, It's like, um,
- 18:53I forgot watched that stand exact same story, just subscribed. What's it called.
- 19:00Jerry Seinfeld was saying one time, like that's the thing about people,
- 19:04Like they're horrible, They're terrible, they're the worse, and then like just
- 19:07when you lose all hope, you see them and they do one wonderful thing
- 19:11and you're just cooked back in again, you know. And that's that's I
- 19:17feel like that's like the cool thing about like people and just like how different
- 19:22everybody is. And and that's why I always kind of had that point of
- 19:25view of like everybody's right in their own minds. So if you understand that,
- 19:30you can navigate everything really easy. Because if if you understand that,
- 19:33everybody's obviously thinking that they're the hero and their story, nobody's you know,
- 19:37rarely people are operating as the villain, you know what I'm sea. Most
- 19:41people think they're the hero, So you can't be acting like, oh,
- 19:45you know what they're doing or not bro worry about what you're doing and make
- 19:51sure that the people around you are the type of people that you want around
- 19:53you doing what they're doing. That kind of goes to look good. Another
- 20:00point, you know what I'm saying, basically recognizing early if a relationship is
- 20:07genuine, circumstantial, or transactional. You know, I feel like kind of
- 20:11going back to the point I made earlier. You know, a lot of
- 20:15my life lessons have really taught me to kind of, you know, focus
- 20:18on that, you know what I'm saying. When I meet someone, you
- 20:21know, I really analyze the situation and how we met and how the relationship
- 20:26is developing, and you know what I'm saying. So like for me,
- 20:30that's been something that like I really take with me now is like when I
- 20:33meet someone, I you know, is this a is this a genuine situation
- 20:38that's happening here? Or is this situation wasting circumstantial like we just happened to
- 20:42be in the same room because we're dealing with the same stuff, you know
- 20:45what I'm saying. Or is it transactional? They see that they can get
- 20:48some out of me, I can get some out of them, you know
- 20:49what I'm saying. It's like recognizing what's good in the situation and not confusing
- 20:56it. You know. Yeah. I feel like something real good to do
- 21:00is always go into a situation already knowing what your mindset is, you know
- 21:03what I mean. Too many people will go like into a room with no
- 21:10like no mantra, no nothing that they're actually just you know, thinking of
- 21:15as a goal of what they're trying to do for that situation or whatever it
- 21:18is. And if you kind of just go into a situation all like loose
- 21:23with no plan and no idea, nothing, you can kind of get pulled
- 21:26into whatever direction, you know what I mean. And it's like it's one
- 21:30of those things that you gotta definitely be aware, Like you gotta be the
- 21:37one that's like driving that, like just knowing like what kind of relationship be
- 21:40looking for because like even for me, like regardless of what kind of relationship
- 21:44I'm looking to have in a situation, I already know off rip that I
- 21:48can't I can't learn somebody unless like it's been like one, two or three
- 21:53years, you know what I'm saying. So that's my mindset already off rip
- 21:56like you're gonna get the the You're gonna get a respectable person from me.
- 22:03And that's about it, you know what I'm saying, Like, you ain't
- 22:06getting nothing else until I see that pattern and see what you're really about and
- 22:10see you know, how you move in situations, how your timeline looks like
- 22:15all, not even just timeline like from the social media aspect, just real
- 22:18life timeline, Like I've known this person X amount of time? What are
- 22:22they doing in that time? You know what I mean? Like, and
- 22:23time is the only thing that could show you that. And I know for
- 22:27me, if I don't give anything that kind of time, it never works,
- 22:33you know what I mean. And it's knowing, Hey, if you
- 22:37give at the time that person, if you're right about that person, they're
- 22:41gonna be there regardless. So you waiting is not gonna make a difference,
- 22:45you know what I mean. If you understand that that like whatever's there for
- 22:48you, it's gonna be there for you. You just gotta do with the
- 22:52discipline way to get to that thing, not be reckless exactly. And that
- 23:00bro And that's the thing. Like it's funny, man, because anytime,
- 23:03like like whether it be the music or the business stuff, like anytime somebody
- 23:08sees me like posts a success that I'm having, Like that's the times people
- 23:14want to hit me up and get some kind of advice or something from me.
- 23:17And it's like, bro, like everybody always thinks there's some kind of
- 23:22secret to these things, you know what I mean, And it's like,
- 23:23bro, it's time. If you don't spend the time and dedicate yourself to
- 23:27do it and you're not in the grind, it's just not gonna happen.
- 23:33And it's kind of like what and exactly what you was talking you're all was
- 23:37talking about with the people that you keep around you, if you're grinding,
- 23:45you recognize other people that are grinding, and it puts you in a different
- 23:48kind of state of mind. So even just grinding already puts you in a
- 23:52different state of mind, you know what I'm saying, Like it's that thing
- 23:55and like it it's dope because you know, I always see on social media
- 24:00like uh post where people say like, oh, you know people are busy,
- 24:06Uh let them live their lives, like don't don't if somebody don't hit
- 24:11you back whatever, and then somebody else will say like nah, you know,
- 24:14people will show you if they care about you or not whatever, whatever
- 24:17it's like, bro, just be mindful of the stuff that's going on and
- 24:22understand, like from the point of view of like like for me, for
- 24:26example, like I got like the one day rule. You know what I'm
- 24:29saying, It's like, give me a day to get back to you.
- 24:32You know. I feel like for me, that's like a respectable amount of
- 24:36time. If it goes to two days, you know, it's cool.
- 24:40But like, and I'm right now, I'm really talking about more from like
- 24:42a like a business kind of point of view. You know what I'm saying,
- 24:45I'm doing business with Like I don't need an immediate um turn around,
- 24:49but I do like to be in communication exactly. Yeah, you know what
- 24:53I mean. And that's something that if I see that like for me being
- 25:02available as far as like I know, I'm gonna get a timely response from
- 25:04you in the sense of what I'm saying, like a day or two.
- 25:07That's what I expect, and that's what I'm cool with. If you're not
- 25:11that type of person, it's not gonna work for me because I need that
- 25:15type of person in my life because the way my life moves I need I
- 25:18think, you know, I need responses in that amount of time, you
- 25:22know what I mean. Like there's certain people that you have in your life
- 25:25that they'll go ghost for like three months, you know what I mean.
- 25:27And it's like, Bro, I can't do anything with you if you're going
- 25:30ghost for three months at a time, you know what I mean? If
- 25:34I got to scroll that far down to your text mass s thread, I'm
- 25:38not setting you shit exactly. It's like the best ability is availability, you
- 25:45know what I mean. And that's that's crazy. I've never heard of before
- 25:48and it's something I had. Um, I think I heard that like on
- 25:52first take or something like that, and um, you know they always talk.
- 25:56It's like with those players, you know, you could be as you
- 25:59could have Thee's highlight reel of all time. But if that highlight reel is
- 26:02coming from you know you playing the third of the season, the highlight reel
- 26:07don't mean nothing, you know what I mean. If you like Obj's career,
- 26:11is that catching, that's it? Yep. And then it's like even
- 26:14even yeah, and even like that Super Bowl bro, like he was he
- 26:18was hooping, Bro, he might have they were saying he might have even
- 26:19got that MVP if he didn't get hurt, you know what I'm saying.
- 26:22And it's like that that that don't be their fault, but at the same
- 26:26time, it's having them the wherewithal to know, like if you're if you're
- 26:30a player that's always injured, you gotta look at Lebron and understand that he's
- 26:34no matter what, he's better than you, you know what I'm saying,
- 26:37because he's gonna be there for his team and he's gonna perform how he's supposed
- 26:41to perform. I don't want to hear about somebody that's better but you know,
- 26:45quote unquote better, but they're only gonna be there thirty percent of the
- 26:48time, right, I Mean that's why, Like for example, like my
- 26:52favorite player is Kauhi, but I don't I can't put any weight of an
- 26:56argument behind him because he's never able, you know what I'm saying, I
- 27:00don't put it on him. It's like, I know, if you get
- 27:03hurt, you get hurt. That's it. Like I remember hearing Tam Mac
- 27:06talk about that like that really hurt him because people used to just question his
- 27:10character and think like, oh, like he was scared or or oh he
- 27:14was Lazier May players, Broy Yeah, Brandon Roy degeneratives. You know what
- 27:19I'm saying. It's like, bro that they can't help that. You know,
- 27:22some people just can't. Yo. Funny story real quick. We're at
- 27:27the Win on Saturday, and I guess that's NBA Summer League's main hotel.
- 27:33So you get tell everybody's over six seven foot. They're all basketball players.
- 27:38I'm not being stereotypical. And it's not the color of skin, it's their
- 27:42height. So that just I see all these basketball players. But a Rod
- 27:48was there literally walking with his girl through the casino, like so many celebrities
- 27:52there, like everybody there for NBA. And we're sitting down, we're eating
- 27:57and my wife is talking to me and I'm staring at this dude, bro,
- 28:00and I swear everything like him. I was like, Yo, that's
- 28:03Kawhile and I'm just waiting for him to turn around. And because he's sitting
- 28:08down at the restaurant we're at and like gets loaded with people, like it's
- 28:11loaded with I'm telling you, it's loaded with NBA people. You see like
- 28:15agents, dudes and suits with players with a bunch of chains that you just
- 28:19see them there and and she starts, She's like, what are you looking
- 28:23at? I was like, I know, I'm gonna know somebody here.
- 28:26I didn't know anybody there because I don't know any Summer League players and it
- 28:29wasn't Kawhir, but I was definitely gonna be a groupie. And she was
- 28:34like, I'm glad I'm not a groupie. I was like, what's that
- 28:36supposed to mean? I would have run up in a rod even though I
- 28:41hate him. Yeah, man speak speaking to Kawhi Man. He was on
- 28:45the Spurs before. That's my favorite team, so I always followed. I
- 28:51was thinking, yeah, man, he can't miss him. Yeah man.
- 28:56But yeah, Kauai got a crazy story, man, Like just just how
- 29:00he like turned into the guy that he is, Like even kind of like
- 29:03his demeanor you can kind of explain and just by his story, you know,
- 29:07and you see him a lot like in uh footage and stuff. He
- 29:11was kind of like Kobe esque, where like he's not big on like the
- 29:17over celebrating. You know, He's more like, Yo, let's just focus,
- 29:19super you know, Let's get through it, you know what I'm saying.
- 29:22And even that, like that's something that Greg Popovic has where He's like
- 29:27very straight laced when it comes to like the actual work the game. You
- 29:32know, there's different people that they get this reputation like their stand office or
- 29:36they don't, you know, and it's like bro, like people are different
- 29:40and they're like we're talking about, they want to be around their people and
- 29:44sometimes the situation they're in there's just not a lot of their people there,
- 29:47and they know that they have to operate at a certain capacity to be great,
- 29:52you know what I mean. He won't play with Paul George. Paul
- 29:56George that kind of player too, just just about playing playing the game and
- 30:00being good at the game. Paul George is another one kind of like we
- 30:03were talking about with their injuries. Man, Like a lot of NBA players
- 30:06talk about Paul George like he's like a ridiculously crazy, like good player,
- 30:11like they have regards from thirteen even guarding him, like even his defense.
- 30:17Like a lot of players have a lot of good things to say about Paul
- 30:19George. But same thing, like he's injured a lot, you know what
- 30:22I mean. It's like, you know, he had that horrific injury and
- 30:26the USA team scrimmages. You know, Um, that's tough. Bro.
- 30:30That's that's just super tough. And that's like I was saying, bro,
- 30:34like it's not his fault. But at the same time, he got to
- 30:37understand that he ain't in a certain bubble, he ain't in a certain air
- 30:41because of those situations. You know what I mean. But do you know
- 30:45what you just made me think of something? Do you think that that's treated
- 30:48any different from Joki saying he don't care about parade and he don't like his
- 30:52job. He was at the same You know what's funny they were talking about
- 30:57that. I think it was on Paul George's podcast. I might be mistaken.
- 31:00I know it was. I feel like it was Draymond Green and Paul
- 31:03George, but they were talking about it, and they were saying, like
- 31:07they basically were saying, that's exactly how every NBA player feels. They obviously
- 31:11love playing and the basketball part of it, but they say that the actual
- 31:15job of the NBA is like the way. Yeah, that makes sense.
- 31:19Even Whenby was talking about it, Yeah, speaking of Wemby, he was
- 31:25talking about it, and he was saying that he was miserable like from like
- 31:27basically like when they announced the draft and like to the time that he got
- 31:33to the first game of Summer League. That whole period he didn't play no
- 31:37basketball, and he was miserable. He was like busy every day doing all
- 31:40this stuff, but he wasn't able to do nothing because he was just doing
- 31:44like the business part of it. Yeah, which makes sense. I mean
- 31:48if you think about it, man, like exactly what they said, you
- 31:52know what he said. I always you know, people forget that. You
- 31:55know, it's still a job, you know what I mean. They're still
- 31:56doing something to get paid. And you know, like even if you absolutely
- 32:00love what you do, even like a regular job, you know what I'm
- 32:04saying, Like you love what you do, there's parts of it that you
- 32:07hate, you know what I'm saying. And I feel like people fail to
- 32:10realize that. They always be like, whoa, You're playing a sport for
- 32:14millions of dollars, Like, yeah, I mean great, you know what
- 32:15I'm saying. They're getting paid, well, they're getting able to play a
- 32:19sport, you know what I'm saying, and have fun doing it. But
- 32:21at the same time, you know, that business side is always going to
- 32:24be the side that people don't enjoy. Like even me, Bro, my
- 32:28regular job and I enjoy calling people and changing their life, you know what
- 32:31I'm saying, Like, Yo, you know you will interview for this job,
- 32:35you got this job, you start this date and hearing them get excited
- 32:38before they can even hang up. I love that part of my job,
- 32:40but the business side sucks, you know what I mean? And I feel
- 32:44like people fail to realize that That's like every job, no matter how much
- 32:47you get paid, no matter what you do, there's always a sucky part
- 32:51about X. That's everything, Like you gotta work to get that reward and
- 32:55then it just starts all over again. You know, listen to this though,
- 32:59you know I'm thinking about do you think anything relating to how good you
- 33:04are at what you do? Uh? Counter into um how much you enjoy
- 33:10doing what you do? Like if you suck doing what you do, are
- 33:15you gonna enjoy it? Like in the NBA, if you if you if
- 33:19you're trash, you don't scoring up, you're seeing the bench, are you're
- 33:22gonna love it? I feel like they don't have to um match, you
- 33:27know what I'm saying. But I feel like when it does match, that's
- 33:30when you know you you peak. It's just a little harder than man,
- 33:34Yeah, because I definitely feel like, um, you know what I'm saying.
- 33:37Like when I worked at the airport, I was doing like cargo and
- 33:42I was like basically like receiving the shipments, like manifesting them, making sure
- 33:49there wasn't any dangerous goods, checking if there was dangerous goods, and then
- 33:53like loading it on the plane. I hated my job, but I recognize
- 33:59what I was doing and I try to make sure I did I did it
- 34:01to the best of my ability. You still get a shit what you did?
- 34:04Yeah, and bro, Like the one thing lazy people don't realize is
- 34:08that like time moves way slower when you're trying not to work. Like sure
- 34:15you just if you just say, hey, let me take care of what
- 34:17I need to take care of, you buckle down and do it. You
- 34:21look up, bro, the whole day already passed. You know what I
- 34:23mean? When you when you bus and the day's just dragging along, and
- 34:29then when the day ends, it's like you ain't doing nothing all day.
- 34:34Facts, Yeah, when I got ship to do, that's when the day
- 34:37flies by, and like it sucks but it's good at the same time.
- 34:40Yeah, what is that mango rita? Cha mango. Yo, this thing
- 34:52has changed my life. What's in there? Shout out to Rannie. Matter
- 34:55of fact? Man, when um, when they lived out here, we
- 35:00used to go to like this bobo place and he put us onto this drink.
- 35:02He's like, yo, when you go order this and it's like mango,
- 35:07and then like it has taijin and it has another thing that starts like
- 35:10it's that's the child and cha mango. I don't I don't remember what it's
- 35:14called, but like it's like a like a spicy kind of thing, you
- 35:17know what I'm saying. So it's like like mangoee and spicy. Oh my
- 35:22gosh, that's crazy, crazy dog. It's it's crazy, yo. My
- 35:27wife makes it like every other day. Dog. It's like and you just
- 35:31make it with fresh mangoes, right, It's like fresh and frozen mangoes and
- 35:36then like there's a couple other ingredients. I'll have her sent me the recipe
- 35:39so y'all could get it. Yeah, it's the fruit. So I make
- 35:44Papayan chamoya smoothies with with almond milk and same concept, same concep. My
- 35:51pop sut me out of that. Ran. I don't know who told him.
- 35:54My pop is always on some natural ship and yeah, he put me
- 35:58on that ship and I had it. You have to get like, didn't
- 36:00the goal your section soon? Like Spanish products that produce that shite, you
- 36:04can't. Y'all got me excited because I just realized. So for those that
- 36:09don't know this Friday, yeah, for this this Saturday, I'm sorry,
- 36:16it's your boy birthday. Yo. It is so y'all talking about all of
- 36:22this stuff. You know what I'm saying that y'all make. And I was
- 36:27on the phone with um my fiance and her dad, and her dad was
- 36:30basically saying like that he was watching this show and they made like a apple
- 36:36pie cheesecake and I never heard of it, but I was like, yo,
- 36:43that drunk sound kind of crazy. He was like, it looked really
- 36:45good. And so I looked at Robbing because you know, she liked a
- 36:47bacon stuff like, and it's going down. She got the ingredients today,
- 36:52you're making it tomorrow because they got to sit in the fridge overnight. And
- 36:57I'm having that thing on Saturday. And just so y'all know, Saturday,
- 37:00I ain't doing shit but gaming with the homies, ordering food in and eating
- 37:02apple pie cheesecake. It's your boy, like a skin were assuming. Yo.
- 37:12Man, I'm excited right now because tomorrow, which actually would be like
- 37:17a week later for the people listening friends zones out, I'm super excited about
- 37:22that joint I'm thinking about. I haven't figured it out. I'm not gonna
- 37:27say it because I don't know exactly what it's gonna be, but it's gonna
- 37:30be dope. A little thing I'm gonna do for that song. Um.
- 37:34Another thing too, man, Spotify got a new feature where, like you
- 37:37can see how many people have listened to your music, like unique listeners over
- 37:43the past two years, and I have like a good amount over one hundred
- 37:47thousand like people. Yeah, I got my music. And like even in
- 37:52like the last like the last month or so, like I've gotten like a
- 37:55lot of new listeners and like people been averaging like at last world tours coming.
- 38:00Yeah, man, I'm I'm manifesting the man with his shirt right here.
- 38:05Man did like a little world tour design and I used like the top
- 38:07um, the top countries that listen to my music, and I threw them
- 38:12on there because that's the goal. Man, You know what I'm saying,
- 38:15Get that world tour man. Yes, sir, and I got bigger things
- 38:23dropping the morrow. I got crash Course dropping on July twenty one. I
- 38:30got a few other things dropping in August. It's a beautiful time right now.
- 38:35Man, it's your boy birthday again. I just have to say,
- 38:37hey, it's that kind of weekend. I'm here, Shaturday, I'm here,
- 38:42ready strapped up. Let's get it, get it. I mean no
- 38:47double X feed. Yeah, you're right, I'm running that thing up all
- 38:51day. There, you're already staying completely but not m
