- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, Demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Adam Smith in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here. And this.
- 0:41Is a weight. Loss hypnosis session.
- 0:44All about reducing weight, changing the relationship with
- 0:48food, reducing portion sides without making it an obsession.
- 0:53And unfortunately, some people really get so emotively attached
- 0:59to the idea of losing weight that what becomes what could be
- 1:05just a choice, a behaviour becomes an obsession.
- 1:09And unfortunately that's a precursor in some cases to
- 1:13eating disorders or anxiety or lifelong relationships and
- 1:17struggles with food. So if you feel that you've had a
- 1:21struggle with losing weight or a struggle with part of you wants
- 1:26to lose weight, another part really loves to enjoy food, I
- 1:30think you'll connect with some of the essence of this hypnosis
- 1:33session. Now, of course, it was created
- 1:36for an individual. All of my sessions are bespoke
- 1:39to the clients that I work with and therefore some of the
- 1:42suggestions and metaphors and certain components would have
- 1:47been perfect for the client I was working with and not quite
- 1:49right for you. So if you like the idea of
- 1:52working with me but to have something bespoke and created
- 1:56for you, there is a webinar that I've created specifically to go
- 2:00through what working with me is like, whether or not it would be
- 2:04suitable for you or not. Check that out.
- 2:07You can register for that webinar, it's in the
- 2:09description. You can watch it within the next
- 2:1215 minutes, takes about an hour. And there's some special bonuses
- 2:17at the end like a discount and a free downloads, 10 free
- 2:21downloads at the end. So check that out if that's of
- 2:23interest. Or you could do both.
- 2:26You could listen to this particular hypnosis session 1st
- 2:29and then at the end circle back and then watch that webinar.
- 2:33If you've got time. For now though, to find a quiet,
- 2:37comfortable place where you won't be distracted or
- 2:39disturbed, relax and enjoy the session.
- 3:00Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 3:08resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 3:12And as you exhale, just feel a release.
- 3:16And as you release that outward breath, just allow your eyelids
- 3:19to close. That's it.
- 3:21And as they close, feel a sense a wave of relaxation going down
- 3:31from your eyelids, down your cheeks, into your jaw, breathing
- 3:36in a resourceful feeling of calm relaxation.
- 3:41And as you exhale, feeling a sense of increasing calm, peace
- 3:51and tranquility. That's it.
- 3:56Breathing and resourceful, relaxation and exhaling.
- 4:01Any stress, any overthinking, any judgements about what is
- 4:10right or wrong, possible or not possible, right here, right now.
- 4:16Just dial all of that down. This is a time to think of
- 4:24possibilities. Not.
- 4:27Responsibilities, a rule, a diet, a plan, all
- 4:36responsibilities that can feel like a burden, like a struggle,
- 4:42like a weight. And you've been carrying that
- 4:47weight for a while now, and I wonder how good it would feel to
- 4:54release yourself of all of these shoulds and musts.
- 5:01What you have to do. You're an adult, you can do
- 5:09whatever you want. If you really wanted to just
- 5:16binge on bread and ice cream every day, you could.
- 5:21It would come with the. Cost and I.
- 5:26Want you to get a sense that what's more true is actually a
- 5:34realisation of high standards. High standards don't have to be
- 5:43perfect standards. I want you to get a sense to so
- 5:50many people spend their life feeling not quite good enough.
- 5:55And then when? They get to 50 or 60 or 70, they
- 6:00see pictures of themself younger and they realise they were
- 6:09already everything they were trying to be.
- 6:17As you breathe in and breathe in, I want you to imagine seeing
- 6:20a photo of yourself at a time that you now consider yourself
- 6:30to look great. And when you can hold that image
- 6:34in your mind's eye. Let me know by nodding your
- 6:36head. But I wonder if that version of
- 6:42you back then, at that age, really took pride, satisfaction,
- 6:53accomplishment in how good they looked, how strong they were,
- 7:00how well they were eating. Sometimes the people with the
- 7:07highest standards feel the most dissatisfied because there's a
- 7:14belief very deep that in order to make progress, you have to
- 7:22not like what you. Have, but let's.
- 7:30Plant a seed of an idea. Isn't it better to appreciate
- 7:40and value what you have but also?
- 7:53Also, feel a desire to improve, not because you have to, but
- 8:02because you want to. And as you look at that photo, I
- 8:10want you to imagine holding it like a physical photograph.
- 8:16See yourself back then and look and all the physical qualities
- 8:22you admire. Flat belly defined.
- 8:30Muscles maybe? There is the way they wear
- 8:40certain clothes or carry themselves, but I want you to
- 8:48look beyond the physical and instead hone in to the
- 8:58qualities. That version of you was willing
- 9:06to eat less. That version of you was willing
- 9:11to be more active. I want you to imagine stepping
- 9:16into the photograph and embodying that version of you
- 9:22feel how you felt back. Then remember the.
- 9:29Foods you were eating remember the activity that you were.
- 9:36Doing and I. Want you to link it to a feeling
- 9:46of fun and wonder and possibility rather than pressure
- 9:54and. Rules.
- 10:03That's it. Breathing and relaxation and
- 10:07just imagine being in that version of you, staring into a
- 10:12full length mirror. But with every breath I want you
- 10:18to imagine seeing a couple of months go by.
- 10:24Which means in six breaths, you're a year older.
- 10:28But keep the body shape, keep the leanness, the energy, the
- 10:37shape. In 12 breaths, 2 years have
- 10:42passed. And as you breathe in and
- 10:46breathe out slowly, I want you to feel that you are bringing
- 10:52all of those resources and beliefs back then into the
- 10:58present, but without requiring any shaming, any judgement, any
- 11:08criticism or micromanagement. No calorie counting, no daily
- 11:16weighing. The deeper you breathe, the more
- 11:22relaxed you feel. The more relaxed you feel, the
- 11:27deeper you breathe. That's it.
- 11:30And just take a moment now to do nothing and just notice what
- 11:38happens. Sometimes people are used to
- 11:44doing, adjusting, thinking and controlling.
- 11:49The actual idea of doing less feels unfamiliar, and yet
- 11:56sometimes the biggest changes come from not doing more, but
- 12:02from removing what isn't needed. What if all of this
- 12:08overthinking, questioning, evaluating wasn't helping you,
- 12:15but hindering you? And just allow your body to
- 12:21settle, not because you're trying to relax, but because
- 12:26there's nothing that needs to be done or accomplished now.
- 12:35And as your breathing finds its own rhythm, you may notice that
- 12:40thoughts can still be there, but they don't need your attention.
- 12:48Consider any thoughts like background noise, like a ticking
- 12:53clock in the background, they just disappear by thinking of
- 13:02something. Else and imagine.
- 13:07For a moment, your mind like A room.
- 13:14And for a long time in this room, there have been voices and
- 13:16opinions and calculations about food, about weight, about what
- 13:23you should do or not do. And instead of trying to
- 13:28silence. Them just step.
- 13:32Back and notice. But when you stop engaging and
- 13:37listening to these voices, the voices lose their authority.
- 13:46They become just sounds. Not instructions, not commands,
- 13:56just noise. And what if that space of noise
- 14:02is like fertile soil, allowing something else to emerge, A
- 14:11quieter signal, A signal that doesn't shout, doesn't pressure,
- 14:18but simply guides. And as that quiet grows, you may
- 14:27begin to remember or connect with a version of you you didn't
- 14:32need to think so much. A version of you that felt
- 14:38lighter, not just physically but mentally.
- 14:45A time when food wasn't a constant negotiation time, when
- 14:50choices felt natural. And notice the body shape wasn't
- 15:00because that version of you was stricter.
- 15:05It was because there was less noise and less pressure and less
- 15:08urgency. And what if, from that place of
- 15:12calm, clarity, alignment, and momentum, the right choices just
- 15:20happened? Your body doesn't need control.
- 15:31It responds much better to calibration, small adjustments
- 15:38repeated over time. That's what creates change, And
- 15:45it's change without struggle, without rules, without force,
- 15:53but mainly without that heavy pressure you've already
- 15:58experienced. That pressure creates
- 16:00resistance, but when you're fine tuning, when you're calibrating,
- 16:08that creates results. And what if, from this calm, a
- 16:14clearer place, you can begin to notice just how simple it can be
- 16:23to make small, effortless adjustments.
- 16:27Not rules, not restrictions, just options you can use
- 16:35whenever it feels. Right, I want.
- 16:39You to imagine still being in that body that is lean and slim,
- 16:51getting older with every breath until you reach your current
- 16:56age. But I want you to imagine seeing
- 17:01your future over the next few months.
- 17:08I want you to see a version of you that every now and then for
- 17:12a week makes a choice. And that choice is to reduce
- 17:18portions by 10%. And as you observe that version
- 17:24of you, you might notice how easy it is to simply eat
- 17:29slightly less. Not dramatically, not
- 17:33noticeably, just a little bit. And how that small shift creates
- 17:43change without effort. And then, on a different week,
- 17:53see that future version of you realising that you don't need to
- 18:01eat if you're not hungry. And sometimes by not eating even
- 18:06if you're hungry, you train your body to be less hungry.
- 18:14Because sometimes you realise that you don't actually need
- 18:17every meal. But skipping 1 here and there
- 18:22isn't deprivation, it's space, and your body responds well to
- 18:29that space. If you're really hungry, then
- 18:33eat, but if you're not really hungry, why not skip a meal?
- 18:44And on a different week, you could see yourself choosing to
- 18:50go without breakfast to just focus on lunch and dinner for
- 18:55that entire. Week you're still.
- 19:01Breaking the fast of sleep. You're just breaking it at
- 19:05lunchtime rather than in the morning.
- 19:09And for generations and generations, there was no
- 19:13breakfast cereal. There was no regular morning
- 19:17breakfast. Throughout history, many people
- 19:23survived long into old age just having two meals a day, lunch
- 19:28and dinner. So imagine seeing that future
- 19:33version of you that just doesn't need to eat just because it's
- 19:38morning. That gives you a sense of
- 19:42lightness, and that lightness, that sense of empowerment,
- 19:48becomes something you enjoy. All of these are tiny
- 19:56experiments to see how your body responds on a different week.
- 20:03You see yourself choosing to eat no refined carbohydrates, no
- 20:10bread, no pasta, no biscuits, no processed foods.
- 20:17And in that future, without effort, you begin to prefer
- 20:22foods that support you, that fuel you.
- 20:28And the things that don't just become less appealing.
- 20:34Not forbidden, no rules, just unnecessary.
- 20:41Or maybe you imagine just once a week, on a busy day, you allow
- 20:52your body to reset, to take a break.
- 20:58A day of not eating any food, and maybe that goes from
- 21:02lunchtime to lunchtime or dinner to dinner. 24 hours of just not
- 21:11eating food. What it really means is that
- 21:16you're just missing two or three meals, and anyone can miss two
- 21:23or three meals. But when you do it on a busy
- 21:27day, you've got so many things distracting you, you don't even
- 21:33realize. And it gets easier and easier.
- 21:42And on those days that you choose not to eat anything, you
- 21:50paradoxically might find you have more energy, more clarity,
- 21:55feel clearer and lighter, more in control.
- 21:59Because you're choosing it, not forcing.
- 22:01It and the. More you experience this, the
- 22:08more you realize you don't need to push and you don't need to
- 22:13force, because your body already knows how to maintain itself and
- 22:22your habits are already strong. So instead of pressure, change
- 22:31that internal voice to that of trust and encouragement, a
- 22:37positive influence. Try it now, that same critical
- 22:43judge, mental questioning voice. Change the tonality and just
- 22:52imagine you're in situations where in the past there might
- 22:56have been pressure, maybe holidays, social events, travel
- 23:01or meals out. And just imagine this voice,
- 23:06rather than telling you what to do or not to do, just gives you
- 23:10options. You can just miss this meal.
- 23:17What if you have 10% less? Now you've got.
- 23:23This, and the more positive that voice, the more likely you are
- 23:30to respond to it and the more likely you want to respond to
- 23:35it, the more you get closer and closer to that ideal body shape.
- 23:46So imagine those situations. Maybe a holiday specific
- 23:52restaurant. See how that version of you
- 23:57handles that situation different.
- 24:04Keep changing it until you find the right one.
- 24:06Is it eating less? Is it skipping a meal?
- 24:18Is it not eating at all for that day?
- 24:24Would you swap it for something else?
- 24:28Carbs or protein? Just observe, because this whole
- 24:32thing is an experiment and whichever choices connect most
- 24:41with your identity version of you that you most want to be the
- 24:47ones that will stick, and anything that doesn't is fine
- 24:54because it wasn't for you anyway.
- 24:58Your unconscious knows what you want, you're just giving it
- 25:03permission to follow it. Because over time, the version
- 25:10of you that finds one or two, maybe three of those strategies
- 25:16that you can do on autopilot without thinking means that as
- 25:22days turn to weeks and weeks turn to months, your body
- 25:27adapts, evolves, and changes. You are someone who makes small
- 25:35adjustments that lead to real results.
- 25:40There's no need for stress and there's no need for obsession.
- 25:47I want you to see what 6 months or 12 months of eating like this
- 25:52would be, How many meals you've just missed, How far you've
- 26:03reduced your body fat percentage, how many of those
- 26:08one day fast you've had. And you realize it gets easier
- 26:15over time because it links to your identity.
- 26:24And that identity is an identity of energy, vitality and health.
- 26:32The weight change is just a by product.
- 26:37You're making healthy choices, only eating if you're truly
- 26:41hungry, eating less and eating better quality.
- 26:48And in doing so, just imagine that now when you look at the
- 26:52mirror, you see yourself six months from now looking better
- 27:00than you've ever done. Slimmer, stronger, leaner.
- 27:07All because you gave yourself permission to run an experiment
- 27:17and see what worked best for you.
- 27:19It's time to leave this place. But take all of these changes
- 27:24with you. Take a deep breath in through
- 27:26your nose and out through your nose.
- 27:31Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 27:34Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 27:39from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 27:43Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert 7-8.
- 27:51Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910.
- 27:54Wide awake. Wide awake.
- 27:58Wide awake. Thank you.
