- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody, y'all
- 0:07Speaker 1: listen to the voice. Come on, dig me now. One
- 0:09Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Man o man o man. Grateful for it. Come through
- 0:17Speaker 2: a huge amount of responsibility. I didn't really know I
- 0:20Speaker 2: was gonna have to be this responsible.
- 0:23Speaker 1: You know, Can I share something with y'all?
- 0:26Speaker 2: I started out to Finally I had gotten on track
- 0:29Speaker 2: and was able to see a way to even pursue
- 0:34Speaker 2: my dream. It has been a long, a long trip
- 0:38Speaker 2: that I've been on, and I've gone through so many
- 0:40Speaker 2: phases of it. It is rewarding along the way to
- 0:46Speaker 2: accomplish your dreams. What I'm saying is this, let me,
- 0:49Speaker 2: let me put it together, because I got so much
- 0:51Speaker 2: running through my head right now. You know, it's one
- 0:54Speaker 2: thing to accomplish your dreams, but there's joy in the
- 0:58Speaker 2: process of achieving it. See, some people are so caught
- 1:04Speaker 2: up in the goal, the final goal, that they find
- 1:09Speaker 2: no joy, no enjoyment in the process. If you have
- 1:16Speaker 2: found what it is you want to do and you
- 1:20Speaker 2: strike out on that journey, please understand you are far
- 1:25Speaker 2: more blessed than the average person to know what it
- 1:29Speaker 2: is you really want to do, to find your work
- 1:33Speaker 2: in life, your purpose, to find out what direction you
- 1:38Speaker 2: want to go in is such a blessing. The average person,
- 1:42Speaker 2: if you sit down and talk to them, oftentimes don't
- 1:46Speaker 2: have their life on track. And it'd be some people
- 1:49Speaker 2: that you looking at you think God it going on
- 1:51Speaker 2: because of their appearance, their swagger.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Oh they walk like it, they talk like it, they
- 1:57Speaker 1: look like it.
- 1:57Speaker 2: But if you sit down and talk to the appas person,
- 2:01Speaker 2: the average person man does not know what their purpose is,
- 2:06Speaker 2: has not discovered what they want to do, and have
- 2:09Speaker 2: no idea how to get that. If you are on
- 2:12Speaker 2: the other side of that, if you understand your purpose,
- 2:17Speaker 2: if you have an idea of what you want to be,
- 2:19Speaker 2: and you are.
- 2:20Speaker 1: On your way there, you are truly blessed.
- 2:24Speaker 2: And in that blessing you must recognize it as a blessing.
- 2:29Speaker 2: You must recognize the fact that you are on the
- 2:33Speaker 2: right side and that there should be a sense of
- 2:36Speaker 2: accomplishment and a feeling of pride in you that you
- 2:40Speaker 2: are on track to accomplish your goal. See what used
- 2:44Speaker 2: to happen was sometimes I used to keep my nose
- 2:48Speaker 2: so on the grindstone that I wouldn't even look.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Up and realize.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Man, hey, man, I know you're trying to get here,
- 2:56Speaker 2: but Steve, hold on, Man, can't you see what you've
- 2:59Speaker 2: done so far? Can't you find just some joy in
- 3:02Speaker 2: the process. See, a lot of us lose the joy
- 3:06Speaker 2: of a blessings God has given us because we looking
- 3:09Speaker 2: at the end talking about I ain't there yet, you
- 3:11Speaker 2: on your way. I'm gonna give you an example. I
- 3:15Speaker 2: had a friend who told me that they wanted to
- 3:18Speaker 2: be a millionaire. And they asked me some questions and
- 3:22Speaker 2: I told them, so they started the process. And I
- 3:25Speaker 2: am telling you, this dude works extremely hard. So about
- 3:32Speaker 2: a year later we were talking. He had found this business,
- 3:38Speaker 2: he had set his goal, and he was working towards it.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Then about two years later I ran up into him again.
- 3:47Speaker 2: We were talking about it and everything. He said, Man,
- 3:49Speaker 2: I really really appreciate the advice. He said, Man, but
- 3:53Speaker 2: is all jacked up, man, because I still ain't made
- 3:56Speaker 2: that million I was talking about. I said, well, hey, man,
- 4:00Speaker 2: just keep at it is coming. He said, Man, keep
- 4:02Speaker 2: at it.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Man.
- 4:04Speaker 2: You know how long I've been doing this been two
- 4:06Speaker 2: years now. And I didn't say that to him, but
- 4:09Speaker 2: I said to myself yeah, two years, he said. Man,
- 4:12Speaker 2: I've been grinding so long. Man, it's just it ain't
- 4:14Speaker 2: happening for me. I said, wait a minute, man, holld on,
- 4:18Speaker 2: hold on. I said, about how much you making right
- 4:20Speaker 2: now a year? Man? About two hundred and fifty thousand.
- 4:26Speaker 2: I quit breathing. I said, well, my man, two years
- 4:31Speaker 2: ago you didn't have a clue. Two years later, you
- 4:36Speaker 2: making a quarter of a million dollars. I said, man,
- 4:40Speaker 2: do you understand how blessed you are? I said, man,
- 4:43Speaker 2: your family was about to get put out two years ago.
- 4:48Speaker 2: You done bought a house.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Yeah. Man, but this ain't the house. I really won't Oh,
- 4:52Speaker 1: oh Pardner, whoa I got that? I got that? The house?
- 4:56Speaker 1: You really won't make Mike call fied eight million. I
- 4:59Speaker 1: don't know.
- 5:00Speaker 2: But man, y'all got a house, you making a payment,
- 5:03Speaker 2: you drive it. You ain't out no more? I said,
- 5:05Speaker 2: old man, you got to stop. I said, you got
- 5:07Speaker 2: to stop. I said, man, because right now, man, you
- 5:10Speaker 2: you coming across. That's real ungrateful to me.
- 5:13Speaker 1: And so he said, man, why are you tripping like that? Man? Man,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you act like don't nobody want to have nothing but you?
- 5:18Speaker 2: I said, whoa man? Where are you going with this conversation?
- 5:21Speaker 2: I said, Oh, I didn't come to you. I just
- 5:22Speaker 2: came to you and asked you how you doing. And
- 5:24Speaker 2: I'm trying to point out to you that the journey
- 5:28Speaker 2: that you started on, that you are on your way,
- 5:30Speaker 2: and you are in the process of accomplishing your goals.
- 5:33Speaker 2: And can you not feel some joy and some pleasure
- 5:36Speaker 2: in your accomplishment. Quit tripping on the fact that you
- 5:39Speaker 2: ain't made a million yet. You on your way. You
- 5:42Speaker 2: done went from He thought this dude was making fifteen
- 5:45Speaker 2: thousand dollars a year. You making quarter of a million
- 5:47Speaker 2: dollars in two years. Man, Come on, man, can't you
- 5:49Speaker 2: see can't you see? So?
- 5:52Speaker 1: He said? Eventually, ah, man, I kind of see what
- 5:55Speaker 1: you saying.
- 5:55Speaker 2: But that ain't about nothing to me because I ran
- 5:58Speaker 2: up into him a year year and a half later.
- 6:02Speaker 2: How you doing, man, man, I show wish I'd appreciated
- 6:06Speaker 2: my life when I had it like that, I said,
- 6:08Speaker 2: what you mean, had it like that?
- 6:10Speaker 1: Man?
- 6:11Speaker 2: Just fell on some hard times. Man, right back where
- 6:14Speaker 2: I was, And then we talked. I said, hey, man,
- 6:17Speaker 2: don't worry about it. I said, Once you know how
- 6:19Speaker 2: to accomplish something, I said, you just reapply the same
- 6:21Speaker 2: principles and start on over again. Man, you know how
- 6:24Speaker 2: hard it is to be to start over. Okay, my man,
- 6:27Speaker 2: Hold up, pardoner, you've been do yourself like this again.
- 6:30Speaker 2: First you wasn't grateful for what you had. Now you're
- 6:33Speaker 2: looking at the fact that you might have to start over,
- 6:35Speaker 2: and you know how hard it is to start over.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Maybe God said, Okay, you ain't happy with this. Okay,
- 6:43Speaker 1: didn't handle it your way.
- 6:44Speaker 2: You obviously ain't happy with the way I'm bringing it
- 6:46Speaker 2: into your life. You want to handle it your way.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Go ahead and handle it because he will let you
- 6:50Speaker 2: have it your way. Can I tell you that he
- 6:53Speaker 2: will let you do it exactly the way you want
- 6:55Speaker 2: to it, because he gives us all the power choice.
- 6:57Speaker 2: So then maybe he said, Okay, you don't appreciate the
- 7:01Speaker 2: way I'm doing it. You don't like the favor I'm
- 7:03Speaker 2: showing you. You think it's taken too long. I'm gonna
- 7:05Speaker 2: let you do it your way. I'm not gonna turn
- 7:07Speaker 2: my back on you. I'm just gonna let you do
- 7:09Speaker 2: it your way.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Just just say.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Maybe he said that, and now he right back where
- 7:13Speaker 2: it was. So what I tried to get the young
- 7:16Speaker 2: cat to understand was man, appreciate your life for what
- 7:19Speaker 2: it is, because like life. Jennings got that song that
- 7:23Speaker 2: he got out off this album. Still, I still believe
- 7:26Speaker 2: it could have been worse, and now that it is worse.
- 7:30Speaker 2: What's on your mind now, folks? If you are on
- 7:34Speaker 2: that side of life where you have figured out what
- 7:36Speaker 2: you want to do, you know how you're gonna get that,
- 7:39Speaker 2: and you know your purpose. You're accomplishing what the majority
- 7:42Speaker 2: of people never ever do. So be grateful for your process.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Don't tumble yourself, don't throw yourself off the cliff. It's
- 7:49Speaker 2: gonna be all right. Success takes a measure of time.
- 7:53Speaker 2: It is not easy. If success were easy, everybody would
- 7:57Speaker 2: be successful.
