Homewood Approves Two Big New Projects | Birmingham News
Homewood’s planning commission just approved two major new developments: “The Woods,” a privately funded outdoor entertainment venue with a putting course, bar, grill, and big screen, set to open on Scott Street with over 100 seats and extra parking; and Samford University’s expansion with two six-story student housing towers adding nearly 500 beds, retail, walkways, and 952 parking spots.
