A 25-year-old man, MiSean Griffin, turned himself in after allegedly shooting and killing 16-year-old Kevin Laurin during a suspected drug deal near East 18th and Dora Avenue. Kevin died at the hospital hours after being shot. Text messages between the two and a backpack found at the scene point to Griffin’s involvement. Kevin, a student at Horizon Science Academy, is remembered as a valued member of the school community. Griffin faces a $1 million bond and his next court date is July 17th for a preliminary hearing.
