  Now, this serves two purposes. One, it's a very

  spooky Monday bonus episode for you guys to listen

  in and experience this creepiness with me. And

  also, it serves a second purpose, because this

  place, Simpson Hospital, Neen Rapids, Michigan,

  is one of our favorite places ever to investigate.

  We've been investigating here for eight years

  or so, at least once a year. And this upcoming

  weekend, October, I believe it is the, let me

  check real quick. This is raw, unedited. I mean,

  But yeah, this weekend the dates are, sorry,

  it's been a long week. Just got back from New

  Orleans last night, so I really have no sleep.

  But, you know, this is a homecoming. We're finally

  home at Simpson Hospital. Okay. This weekend,
• 1:33
  Friday night, October 16th, all day Saturday,
• 1:38
  October 17th, and all day October 18th, that's
• 1:41
  Sunday, a two and a half day, two days, one night,
• 1:45
  Paramore Festival. The Blood Moon Parafest. Every
• 1:50
  year, this has been going on for several years
• 1:52
  now, every year it's like one big party. Just
• 1:55
  a bunch of amazing, like -minded, paranormal
• 1:57
  researchers, investigators, creators, vendors,
• 2:02
  etc. Lecturers are congregating here at the Simpson
• 2:05
  Hospital, and it's two and a half days full of
• 2:08
  investigating, lectures, talks. Basically one
• 2:13
  big party every year. This year is no exception.
• 2:15
  So come on out if you're local to the area. Or

  not. It's definitely worth the trip. We're going

  to be here on Sunday. We're going to do a screening

  of one of our projects. I haven't decided on

  which one. We do have one coming out in the next

  this weekend though. But it will be one of the

  Stimson Hospital. which is in the basement. And

  it's actually, you can't access the basement

  from the main building. You have to go out one

  door into another door. But like I said, we've
• 3:12
  been coming here. I'm going to set this mic down.

  I thought I heard something. I'm going to set

  this mic on the ground here. Hopefully you can

  there. So we've been coming here every year for
• 3:36
  the past eight or nine years. And when we started
• 3:39
  coming here, The place was just purchased by
• 3:42
  the current owners Chris and Pam who have done
• 3:45
  amazing work if you haven't been if you've been
• 3:47
  here But you haven't been in like several years
• 3:49
  if you came and you know 2017 when they bought
• 3:51
  it or 2018 when we when we first started coming
• 3:54
  here 2019 etc. They've done so much incredible
• 3:57
  work, especially post -covid so uh the whole

  building looks incredible they've been doing
• 4:02
  a lot of work down in the basement it's a lot
• 4:04
  cleaner they've been tearing down some walls
• 4:06
  renovating so the renovations here are incredible
• 4:09
  new paint new windows incredible stuff um but
• 4:14
  when we first came here it was essentially just
• 4:16
  how they bought it essentially abandoned we had
• 4:18
  no idea what room was what and they intentionally
• 4:22
  Didn't tell us any of the history or paranormal
• 4:24
  experiences until after our very first investigation.
• 4:27
  We were the first real investigation crew allowed
• 4:30
  in. A psychic or two came in before and did like
• 4:33
  a psychic walkthrough. But in terms of people
• 4:36
  outside of the owners actually doing an investigation,
• 4:38
  we were the first ones. Sorry, that was something.

  I do have a recorder out in the hallway. I bet
• 4:52
  that caught that. Anyways, we were the first
• 4:55
  people to come out and investigate. a lot of
• 4:58
  what we experienced lined up with the lore. The
• 5:02
  famous story here is that one of the doctors,
• 5:04
  Frank Blanchard, fell through an open elevator
• 5:07
  shaft. He was all the way up on the third floor
• 5:11
  in his office, and the elevator hadn't come up.
• 5:15
  And he stepped out into what he thought was the
• 5:17
  elevator, instead it was just an empty shaft,
• 5:19
  and he plummeted all the way down, right behind
• 5:22
  me, I'm in the morgue now, right behind me is...
• 5:27
  the bottom of the elevator shaft where he ended
• 5:30
  up falling to his death and they say frank as
• 5:33
  well as other patients all the other doctors
• 5:35
  haunt here as well they say a lot of the activity
• 5:40
  is a little residual in a sense in terms of around
• 5:45
  the 3 a .m mark they get phantom voices of the
• 5:49
  nurse saying lights out and that would be the
• 5:53
  time you know lights out is now on our most recent
• 5:56
  investigation here we were doing a spirit box
• 5:58
  session and right at three in in the morning
• 6:01
  around like 305 310 we intentionally did a session
• 6:04
  at three and it was a few minutes after that
• 6:06
  we did get a woman's voice saying lights out
• 6:09
  and at the same time this voice came through
• 6:11
  the spirit and this is an actual report before
• 6:13
  that and we got in the spirit box right after
• 6:16
  that uh within seconds you see a red flash of
• 6:20
  light in the hallway So it's interesting. Lights
• 6:23
  out, and then a light emerged. And that same
• 6:25
  hallway, we've had so many experiences. Well,
• 6:28
  I heard a growl right behind me. Brianna heard
• 6:31
  a hiss right behind her. We've had feelings of
• 6:34
  being discombobulated, falling. I actually got
• 6:37
  off balance once. I almost fell. Which I'm realizing
• 6:42
  now kind of relates to one of the stories about
• 6:44
  Frank, who felt, sorry, I'm a little nervous

  down here. A little nervous down here. You might

  be able to tell. Anyways, this is a great podcast,

  hallway has a lot of activity. is on the second
• 7:48
  floor right outside the patient room. So we've

  had so many experiences in the patient room itself
• 7:54
  looking out into that hallway. And it seems like
• 7:58
  a lot happens when you kind of stand in the threshold
• 8:01
  between the patient room and the hallway, call
• 8:05
  out to the nurse, call out to the doctor, they'll
• 8:07
  rush in. We've documented temperature changes.
• 8:10
  Like actually we felt the air get cold and we've
• 8:13
  documented it. Like not just, hey, it's cold.
• 8:16
  We've documented temperature dips right in front
• 8:19
  of us. We've had feelings, strange feelings that
• 8:23
  seem to mirror what some of the patients are
• 8:26
  documented of having symptoms of. We felt our
• 8:29
  whole side of our faces get numb. Our hands get
• 8:33
  numb, legs get numb just instantly and then just
• 8:36
  disappear. At the same time, we're getting other
• 8:38
  voices. We actually caught our first ever EVP
• 8:41
  here. We caught an EVP. saying help me and this
• 8:45
  is one of our very first investigations here
• 8:47
  that we did and as such this was our first ever
• 8:50
  evp so this holds a significant piece of uh history
• 8:54
  here we also filmed uh several projects here
• 8:58

  weekend at the Blood Moon. This was before Blood

  Moon. This was just a public ghost hunt. And

  there was a group coming down the stairs, which
• 10:44
  is right, that second floor hallway. So there's

  two main spots here, guys. There's down here
• 10:49
  in the basement in the morgue. And there's also
• 10:52
  a boiler room that's haunted right next to the
• 10:54
  basement morgue here. And they say if you sit
• 10:56
  on the little stairway, again, the thresholds
• 10:59
  here are very significant and liminal and haunted.

  Insert any creepy word. That's what the thresholds
• 11:07
  here are. But they say if you sit on the staircase,
• 11:11
  because there's just like two or three little
• 11:13
  steps going down to the boiler room, which is
• 11:15
  right next to me too. If you sit on those steps,
• 11:18
  people have gotten pushed, grabbed, touched.

  We actually were using one of those structured
• 11:24
  light sensor cameras. And this is the only time
• 11:26
  I've ever used one of those. Anyways, Jesus Christ.

  replay it because like this is unexplainable

  this is so straight there's legit footsteps in

  the hallway coming towards me no one is in the

  entire basement like i said you have to actually

  leave the main building enter like the side door

  to end i was completely alone down there no explanation

  for these footsteps you can hear claire's day
• 12:23
  footsteps in the hallway this is impressive i
• 12:27
  i have to say it's paranormal i didn't even know

  in the moment there were footsteps i just heard
• 12:31
  two two little noises like that That's why I

  didn't really react to it too much. And this
• 12:37
  is the only time I've ever used one of those
• 12:39
  because I heard something. Anyways, Jesus Christ.

  structural light sensor camera things, the SLS

  like the Kinect cameras where they map in stick

  figures and they say they're ghosts. I hate those

  things. I despise those things. I think those

  are the worst things to ever... be introduced

  to mainstream paranormal investigating. I think

  they are terrible. And we don't own one, but
• 13:20
  we've been on several investigations, like a
• 13:24
  handful, where other people brought them. And

  every time I'm just sitting there just trying
• 13:29
  to contain myself, I'm like, this is so stupid.

  But this one time at Simpson Hospital, we used
• 13:34
  one. And this is the only time something that
• 13:36
  wasn't a false positive or easily explained actually
• 13:39
  got mapped in. And what happened was... I think
• 13:43
  it was Brianna. I know it wasn't me because I
• 13:48
  was watching the camera and I could see nothing
• 13:51
  was mapped in for a good hour or so. And there's
• 13:54
  nothing behind. There's a hallway to get there.
• 13:58
  There's nothing behind that looks like a person
• 14:00
  or can be mapped and trip up one of these cameras
• 14:04
  to make it seem like a person. But she was sitting
• 14:06
  there on the steps and all of a sudden there's
• 14:08
  a big tall stick figure that comes up. touches
• 14:11
  her on the shoulder, and then she says right
• 14:13
  after, I felt someone touch my shoulder. So it
• 14:16
  was linked up directly with a physical feeling.
• 14:22
  So it wasn't just the SLS camera picking up a
• 14:24
  stick figure touching her shoulder. She said
• 14:26
  right in the moment, someone touched my shoulder.
• 14:28
  So that carried a little bit of weight to me
• 14:30
  of like, oh, on its own, this footage doesn't
• 14:33
  really say much or mean much. In fact, I wouldn't
• 14:37
  call anything paranormal. It's just a stick figure.

  a Kinect camera that people think are ghosts
• 14:42
  but why after this thing that's nine times out
• 14:48
  of ten just a false positive you know the stick
• 14:51
  figures are mostly just false positives and nothing
• 14:53
  paranormal why though at the same time it touches
• 14:56
  someone or appears to touch someone through the
• 14:58
  camera lens does that person feel without any
• 15:01
  knowledge of this event feel something actually
• 15:03
  touch them so that was a little significant to
• 15:06
  me now we bring out the The Ouija board. And

  only time this has ever happened and i just actually

  months ago and it's not like oh there's something

  wrong with your spirit box type of thing it's

  not like it happened like last night it happened

  several months ago we've done Tons of investigations

  since. We go live every week on TikTok, if you

  didn't know. So we investigate at least once

  a week. And spooky seasons, we've done a lot

  more than just one. We were just in New Orleans,

  Louisiana for the past week. Went to the Myrtles

  Plantation for a couple nights. So we've been

  busy and doing a lot of investigating. So this

  hasn't happened ever. Nine years of investigating

  weird things with the spirit box doing weird

  static sounds and whatever. But it just so happens

  a few months ago in Gettysburg, During a thunderstorm.

  It seemed like the thunderstorm kind of opened
• 23:59
  up a portal and the streets were coming alive

  And I just posted a video of it on socials there

  was a weird like I don't know like signal I came
• 24:08
  through and started changing sweep rates on its

  own and then it was actually playing even though
• 24:13
  the device itself was off So very strange go

  watch that I'm probably not describing it good

  But the device itself was turned off like off
• 24:21
  off, but it was still playing static as if it
• 24:25
  was on, and it was making weird signals and sounds
• 24:28
  and static sounds and changing sweep rates on
• 24:30
  its own, and then it just cut out. So this isn't

  to that degree, that level, but there's still
• 24:34
  some weird sounds going on with it, changing
• 24:37
  volume. So I don't know what's going on. Like

  I said, I'll change the batteries and see if
• 24:42
  it continues throughout the rest of the night

  here. But that's how paranormal investigating
