Transcript
- 0:43None. This is a countdown to another
- 0:53live stream. Technical difficulties abound.
- 0:58But if we are here now, what's up everybody, how are you?
- 1:01It's Kefi with a late night ghostcalledman.com live stream.
- 1:06I am trying to get certain things going after we shit the
- 1:10bed on Instagram here and YouTube a few minutes ago.
- 1:15Sometimes these things just happen.
- 1:18If you're out there and you can hear me say what's up, few
- 1:21people are here already. Yeah, I hope everybody's doing
- 1:26good on this Tuesday night. We found out late last night, or
- 1:31sort of last night, that Iron Maiden had made the Rock and
- 1:35Roll Hall of Fame. The much derided and complained
- 1:37about and talked about the Hall of Fame, which I only like
- 1:40talking about because I like complaining about it.
- 1:45What else can I say? But yeah, we're here to talk
- 1:49about all the things. And again, unfortunately, no
- 1:53TikTok tonight, but hopefully we will get it all going
- 1:59momentarily. See what's happening here.
- 2:05I'm just trying to make sure everybody is coming on.
- 2:22Annie, hey, Kristen is passing by my one of my favorite people
- 2:27in the business. Good to see you.
- 2:28Good to see you. So yeah, let's let's just take
- 2:34one more second. I'm just trying to get it to
- 2:37cooperate. Here we go as people are coming
- 2:40on. Thank you for watching.
- 2:42If anybody's out there again and you can hear and see me say
- 2:44what's up 'cause it's already been a technical cluster fog,
- 2:48but I will repost these on IG. It's too bad that the this isn't
- 2:52working too well. But anyway, Iron Maiden up the
- 2:56freaking irons. They finally made the Rock and
- 2:59Roll Hall of Fame and I'm here to talk all about it.
- 3:03We're going to talk about who made it.
- 3:05We're going to talk about who didn't make it.
- 3:07Hey, Melissa, is that you? You're here.
- 3:09I've been having some problems. My fiance is here.
- 3:12Love you so much. So, yeah, we're going to talk
- 3:16about Maiden getting in, who else got in, who got snubbed,
- 3:21who got in last year because it's kind of relevant to what I
- 3:24want to talk about a little here and then who I think should get
- 3:30in next year. Obviously, the Rock and Roll
- 3:32Hall of Fame is not does not care about rock and metal fans.
- 3:37But maybe as more rock and metal bands get in, we will eventually
- 3:42have our day and our say. There's so many bands that have
- 3:48not gone. And I did a similar stream last
- 3:51year at this time. It seemed to strike a chord with
- 3:54people. I thought I would do another
- 3:55one. I rejiggered it a little bit for
- 3:57this year. Obviously, a lot of people did
- 3:59not get in that I would hope would get in or not even
- 4:03nominated like some bands that I care a deep amount about.
- 4:07But, you know, hopefully, hopefully this is the thing.
- 4:16But anyway, yeah, I'm not sure what's going on here.
- 4:18I can't get some of these things to go.
- 4:20All right, any who. So we're here to talk about Iron
- 4:24Maiden. Just in case you haven't
- 4:29noticed. You know, we have content every
- 4:32day on our website. Ivana Riot is here.
- 4:34What's up? And 80s Metal Forever is here.
- 4:37Truly would have a lot to say about Iron Made in on this
- 4:41joyous occasion of them making the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
- 4:43Whether you like the Hall of Fame or not, we have an
- 4:45interview right now on YouTube that's kind of going viral.
- 4:48Our new interview, our exclusive new interview with Steve Von
- 4:52Till and Noah Landis of Neurosis.
- 4:55Their new album and undying love for a burning world is out now.
- 4:58They surprise dropped it. Their new band member Aaron
- 5:02Turner of Isis the band and Sumac and Old Man Gloom and
- 5:05Siege Records and formerly of Hydra head records and made a
- 5:09huge impact coming in And I'm pretty well chuffed about this.
- 5:14As the birds say. Check that out if you're a fan
- 5:16of having extreme music, possibly my early album of the
- 5:21year contender. Just in case you're feeling
- 5:24tipsy, I will drop the tip menu in here for you.
- 5:29You can always join the conversation and ask questions
- 5:32for free. But if you're feeling like you
- 5:33want to give us a tip, goes called does make some money from
- 5:36advertising and some sponsorship stuff.
- 5:39But mostly we are just like a band.
- 5:41We are a DIY enterprise business that is trying to grow a, you
- 5:48know, a real cultured metal community.
- 5:50No bullshit, no click bait, no fake stories, actual interviews
- 5:55with bands you care about, actual stories that matter, not
- 5:58what Corey Taylor always thinks, and things like that.
- 6:02Any who, that's our tip menu. If you're feeling tipsy, drop us
- 6:05a tip. But it's always not necessary,
- 6:08You know, Too bad I couldn't get the IG to go.
- 6:12And there's our Cash App if you want to pause and tip on it.
- 6:15So let's just talk for a second about this Rock Hall class.
- 6:19This was the biggest class of nominees in history.
- 6:24The actual in addition to Iron Maiden, Phil Collins, Bitly
- 6:27Idol, Joy Division and New Order, which really surprised
- 6:30me. I'll talk about that.
- 6:32Oasis, Sade, another surprise, Luther Vandross and Wu Tang
- 6:36Clan. And we're not here to debate the
- 6:38criteria which the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame chooses artists.
- 6:43They have included gospel and R&B and Blues and rap from the
- 6:47very beginning. It really should be the Popular
- 6:50Music Hall of Fame or the American Popular Music Hall of
- 6:52Fame. There is a heavy metal Hall of
- 6:54Fame. Generally speaking, they do a
- 6:57very good job and a lot of their stuff is integrated with charity
- 7:00that I like. But on the other side, I think
- 7:04that in the future years they're going to have a hard time
- 7:06putting in the modern era of bands because they're putting in
- 7:10what I consider to be a lot of unworthy and also ran second
- 7:14level rockers. To me, I judge the Hall of Fame
- 7:17like the Sports Hall of Fame and I know Hall of Fame.
- 7:20Is that even relevant to metal or punk?
- 7:23It's like almost anti metal and punk to have a Hall of Fame.
- 7:26But what I really want to talk about is you're either a lock or
- 7:31you're not. And the fact that there was a
- 7:33lot of debate about some of these artists, it's a little
- 7:36mind blowing. Like in terms of like
- 7:38credentials or like they the Rock'n'roll of Fame's own
- 7:41credentials say they don't count sales.
- 7:43It's about artistic merit, influence, broad appeal that's
- 7:47not necessarily tied to sales, genre defining it, you know,
- 7:52exploring new grounds, not retreads.
- 7:57So on the surface that all makes sense and on the second hand, it
- 7:59doesn't make a lot of sense, but we'll talk about it.
- 8:05Also Luther Vandross and like I said, we think very cool.
- 8:08Also getting in this year. There are other, you know, I
- 8:12don't think there should be all these little subcategories.
- 8:14I think you're in or you're not in.
- 8:17So also getting in under early influences, say a Cruz.
- 8:20If you don't know who say a Cruz is, she's the queen of salsa.
- 8:23She is a legend of of Spanish and Latin Latin origin music.
- 8:29Fela Kuti, also humongously influential worldwide, also a
- 8:33political activist, also died young.
- 8:37Crazy talk. Thanks to Melissa on TikTok for
- 8:42getting the number one badge here.
- 8:44I appreciate you Dark side of the moon.
- 8:46I hope that's a Pink Floyd reference.
- 8:47I get that reference also. Queen Latifah and MC Light, two
- 8:51female pioneers of hip hop. Great rappers, not just lady
- 8:56rappers but in general legendary hip hop artists as well as
- 9:00Graham Parsons the folk rocker. Also from musical excellence,
- 9:04Linda Creed arethe Martin, Jimmy Miller and Rick Rubin.
- 9:07Rick Rubin will come up again later.
- 9:10We'll talk about why. And there's sort of a prestige
- 9:13old timers industry award and they gave one to Ed Sullivan.
- 9:18Gigi fan is here on TikTok. What's up, Gigi fan, you've been
- 9:21here before. Nice to see you again.
- 9:24So let's talk a little bit about it.
- 9:27Maiden gets in on their third try.
- 9:30The rock halls credentials and requisites say you need to be
- 9:34have released music in the, you know, starting with 25 years
- 9:38after your first release, you're eligible.
- 9:40Well, Iron Maiden has is celebrating 50 years this year
- 9:43on tour as a band and their first release was, you know,
- 9:47what was it 1978? So they are long overdue, about
- 9:4922 years overdue for being in or 32 years overdue.
- 9:53But anyway, glad they're in. Priest is in, Metallica is in.
- 9:57There's not a lot of Black Sabbath is in.
- 9:58There's not a lot of truly metal bands that are in and we're
- 10:01going to talk about the possibility of future bands that
- 10:03are borderline metal or heavy metal or rock.
- 10:06And the metal hard music bands, Can they actually get in?
- 10:10And some other bands that I find interesting should maybe get get
- 10:14some play. So Maiden gets in Billy Idol.
- 10:17I'm honestly surprised. He definitely has had a
- 10:20resurgence. There's a great documentary out
- 10:22about him right now. Billy Idol should be dead.
- 10:24I'm hoping to watch it one of these coming weekends with my
- 10:27wonderful fiance Melissa. I really was like, he's got
- 10:31hits. The majority of his huge numbers
- 10:35in sales has come from the last 15 years of streaming.
- 10:39He has had like obviously celebrated Ozzy Osbourne for his
- 10:45solo Hall of Fame induction last year.
- 10:48And so this is, you know, it's nice that he's in.
- 10:51He's great. I don't think he's actually
- 10:54ground breaking or inspired a lot of rocker's mainstream or
- 10:59punk. He's known for coming from the
- 11:01underground punk scene, from a band that wasn't very popular to
- 11:05having a huge, in the MTV era huge radio presence.
- 11:09So like, good for Billy Idol. I'm not mad, I'm not hating, I
- 11:12just was surprised he got in, if that makes any sense to you.
- 11:16Then there's Oasis, these two fucking dorks.
- 11:20Honestly two of the worst people alive.
- 11:22But Oasis, who is not at all groundbreaking but perhaps
- 11:26influential, they helped usher in an entire, you know, era of
- 11:32Brit pop and an alternative rock in the 90s.
- 11:35Humongous band in Europe. About, as I've said on my other
- 11:39podcast, 3 or 4 times bigger than they are in the States,
- 11:43they are in their home country of the United Kingdom.
- 11:46I am always thinking back to the British Parliament episode spoof
- 11:51of Saturday Night Live where Will Ferrell says can we not all
- 11:54agree that Oasis is the greatest band since The Beatles and
- 11:57people are like poppycock nonsense.
- 12:00So I think it's pretty funny they managed to do a whole world
- 12:04tour last summer and last fall, surprisingly surprising me that
- 12:08they didn't kill each other or break up on stage like they have
- 12:11many times in the past. It will be interesting to see if
- 12:16the former members of Oasis get to come to the Rock Hall and
- 12:21shit on them. And I didn't mention that Blaze
- 12:22Bailey for of formerly of Iron Maiden of the Iron Maiden middle
- 12:27era when Bruce quit in the 90s and then came back.
- 12:31He is being inducted with the proper band.
- 12:33So I think that's really rad and awesome.
- 12:35I'm a Blaze fan. Those records don't really hold
- 12:38up except for a couple of songs. But he is a wonderful singer and
- 12:41if he hadn't joined the band, I don't know another singer that
- 12:45could have come in and, you know, stepped in Bruce's shoes
- 12:48for a long time and been respected.
- 12:51Wu Tang Clan covered formerly by Ghost Cult.
- 12:54They're currently on their farewell tour.
- 12:58I have a whole story on YouTube under my war stories with TV
- 13:03story and and podcast. That series is coming back soon
- 13:06with where I got to meet Wu Tang Clan when I was a college radio
- 13:12journalist and broadcaster and Method Man thought I was a narc
- 13:17with my long hair and a ponytail and my many pieces of paper
- 13:21doing the news. But Wu Tang, Good for Wu Tang,
- 13:24they deserve it. So few, you know, so many
- 13:27overrated rap artists are out there who are just trash to me.
- 13:30And Wu Tang Clan has always kept it real.
- 13:33Tremendously original, iconic, universal, groundbreaking,
- 13:37inspirational, influential. They tick all the boxes, man.
- 13:41And I can't think of another group that's had as many side
- 13:44projects and spin offs and solo solo albums that did as well,
- 13:48you know, probably no artist ever.
- 13:53So just really quick to just again to recap, this brings me
- 13:58to kind of who got nominated and snubbed because I talked a lot
- 14:02about this last year and it seemed to hit with people.
- 14:04So just for a second, let's just talk about the people who were
- 14:07nominated but did not get in. Nominated but not in.
- 14:15Let's see, I had it up here a second to go slow as molasses,
- 14:29incidentally, like 1. So people snubbed that didn't
- 14:32get in include Lauren Hill of The Fugees.
- 14:34I think maybe we'll talk about some of the other bands that got
- 14:38in in a second. Black Crows I thought shouldn't
- 14:44be in. They're very derivative.
- 14:46Great band for the first 3 or 4 records and then kind of to me,
- 14:50not great In Excess I thought maybe could get in, but Billy
- 14:53Idol maybe took the spot of In Excess as an 80s hit band.
- 14:58Mariah Carey snubbed again, not that I care that much, but I do.
- 15:02Pink not not didn't get in. Shakira didn't get in.
- 15:04These are two of the biggest selling artist of all time, Jeff
- 15:07Buckley, who I adore and love his music and I can't even
- 15:11handle watching that documentary about him because I'm sad.
- 15:13I'm going to cry a lot. He didn't get in and I just
- 15:16didn't think he has like 1 really great record and a second
- 15:20record and a live record. And it's very, you know, that
- 15:23was 30 years ago and I don't really ever hear people talk
- 15:27about Jeff Buckley. He's a wonderful talent, but is
- 15:31there a lot of artists out there that sound like Jeff Buckley
- 15:34that are because of Jeff Buckley?
- 15:35And I don't think that's the case.
- 15:38But for the other winners, right?
- 15:40For the other inductees, we'll say, you know, the other people
- 15:47getting in. Phil Collins well deserved as a
- 15:49solo artist. Biggest selling solo artist of
- 15:51the entire 1980s and the second biggest selling album of the 80s
- 15:55besides Michael Jackson. Thriller.
- 16:00Incredible solo artist. Completely made a whole new
- 16:02career for himself outside of Genesis.
- 16:05Is in the Hall of Fame with Genesis.
- 16:06I love Phil Collins, I hope he can make the induction ceremony.
- 16:09I know he's rather I'll it's possible he can, but I love Phil
- 16:12Collins and I'm excited to hear some artists reinterpret Phil
- 16:16Collins music. Joy Division New Order kind of
- 16:19surprised me. I love the band.
- 16:21I wasn't 100% sure they could get in.
- 16:24They were snubbed last year and I think that the sort of putting
- 16:28them in together kind of helps other artists in future years,
- 16:31which we'll talk a lot about. I'm thrilled Peter Hook put out
- 16:35a statement that he was just honored.
- 16:38Obviously, you know, there's going to be a lot of tributes to
- 16:40Ian Curtis for Joy Division, but also New Order.
- 16:43Tremendously influential, great bands.
- 16:45It's it's really quite special that they got it because I
- 16:48really wasn't sure they were going to.
- 16:50Oh, I mentioned Oasis already. Sade.
- 16:52I'm a little surprised, you know, wonderful talent, singular
- 16:55and unique, putting kind of like a jazz, samba music into the pop
- 16:59lexicon. But the problem with Sade is 1
- 17:02real hit album. I don't, I don't know a lot of
- 17:04artists that sound like Sade. I think I said to you Melissa,
- 17:07like Norah Jones and a few other people, Lisa Loeb maybe a little
- 17:13bit. But like, I don't know, people
- 17:14are like grafting parts of Sade's, you know, style.
- 17:19She hasn't performed much. I know she missed a large part
- 17:23of her career on drugs. Nothing personal.
- 17:25A lot of people are on drugs. People watching this right now
- 17:29are on drugs. I'm on prescription drugs.
- 17:31But it just is what it is. I'm very surprised she got in.
- 17:34But it's nice that she got in. Be interesting to see if she can
- 17:37show up and perform Sade the band.
- 17:39But it's named for her. It's it's Sade, Luther Vandross
- 17:44from the R&B world, incredible singer, very successful, 8090
- 17:48million sales, but like very influential sang on a backup on
- 17:53a lot of pop albums you don't remember knowing he was on,
- 17:56including Michael Jackson, Tom Petty, you know, Whitney
- 17:59Houston, who was his mentor as a singer, like he was, he was a
- 18:04studio legend and then he went solo and just has a body of
- 18:08work. That's amazing.
- 18:09Great voice. Really nice that he got an Adam.
- 18:13I mentioned Wu Tang Clan, really cool.
- 18:15It will be interesting and hopefully nice to see because Wu
- 18:19Tang is in there. Hopefully Latifah and Light will
- 18:21get to participate in the rap part of it.
- 18:24I hope they have some Spanish artists to celebrate, say Cruz
- 18:27or maybe some pop artists to reinterpret her music.
- 18:30Graham Parsons it seems at least would partially get like a very
- 18:34nice, you know, thing. Norah Jones is the best
- 18:37connection. Fiona Apple.
- 18:42But Fiona Apple is so much more hard edged and and raw is much
- 18:46more like, you know, she's much more like a jazz rocker than
- 18:53Sade with a light jazz rocker. You know what I'm saying?
- 18:56Or Alicia Keys, who I always thought was pretty bland except
- 18:59for a handful of hit songs. I'm not saying she's not
- 19:01talented. I just think she's whatever.
- 19:04But OK. And then I talked about who got
- 19:06snubbed and so let just really quick who got in last year,
- 19:11right? This is a precedent that helped
- 19:13this year. I think Bad Company, Joe Cocker,
- 19:19Soundgarden, you know, Ozzy getting in two years ago and
- 19:24being able to be there for it. So like, I think Soundgarden
- 19:27getting in was nice. It didn't necessarily help any
- 19:29of the, you know, Oasis is a contemporary of White Stripes or
- 19:34a little before them. So it's just interesting that
- 19:37like White Stripes are in with a career mostly in the 2000s and
- 19:40then Oasis gets in really started in 9394.
- 19:44I don't even know if you know the story.
- 19:45Oasis got signed like on a fluke.
- 19:47They went to go play a show in Scotland and they were opening
- 19:53for a very popular up and coming band that talent scouts were
- 19:57coming to see. And then they saw Oasis and
- 19:59that's the band that made it. So it's wild that that happened.
- 20:03You know, not quite a. Mozart and a Salieri, but very
- 20:07interesting. So let's talk about some bands
- 20:09that I think should be in and that should have been in
- 20:12already. And I, you know, I'm going to
- 20:14continue to beat this drum until I puke.
- 20:17Alice In Chains is, you know, in arguably a better band than some
- 20:23of the other Seattle bands that are already in to me, they're
- 20:27heavy, they're emotional, they have range.
- 20:30They're MTV Unplugged is probably the best unplugged
- 20:33there is. They had a second career.
- 20:36They've sold a lot of records, maybe not the most records
- 20:38because they lost out on selling records at the like they didn't
- 20:42get the tour enough when they could have probably sold in the
- 20:4410s of 1,000,000 more records. But you know an everlasting band
- 20:49that has influenced they influenced Metallica, who's in
- 20:51the Hall of Fame loaded Reload sound like the way it does
- 20:54because of Metallica and Coc and Soundgarden.
- 20:57So just weird to me that they haven't even been nominated.
- 21:02Kind of weird now just be, I think because Joy Division and
- 21:05New Order got in, Let's talk about Danzig and the Misfits.
- 21:09And I mentioned them last year and I think even though we're
- 21:12getting not a lot of activity from Danzig or the Misfits right
- 21:15now, there are no Misfits shows announced for this year yet.
- 21:18That doesn't mean there won't be.
- 21:20Danzig has some solo stuff coming in some festivals and I
- 21:23think that means he's going to book a small tour.
- 21:26It is a Danzig anniversary this year.
- 21:31Illustrious Bouge is here, Alex is here.
- 21:34What's up, what's up, what's up? Tik tokers, hip hoppers,
- 21:38non-stop rockers. I love y'all.
- 21:40So I think maybe Danzig and Misfits, if that is like Misfits
- 21:44Danzig, maybe that puts him over the top because Joy Division,
- 21:48New Water got in. I think Danzig should be in the
- 21:51Hall of Fame. I think Misfits should be in the
- 21:52Hall of Fame shortly. They created a whole sub genre
- 21:56of punk. They had an everlasting
- 21:58influence. I do think if the 90s Misfits,
- 22:01as much as I dislike Michael Graves, is a horrible Proud Boy
- 22:04person. Oh boy, I'm getting cancelled
- 22:06shows in Europe. I wonder why?
- 22:08I wonder why. I think it's interesting that if
- 22:13that era of Misfits didn't happen, I don't know that they
- 22:15would be a Misfits now. The last few years where we saw
- 22:18them, they really haven't even done that.
- 22:21Maybe a whole 10 shows tops in two or three years since they
- 22:25decided to do the original Misfits comeback.
- 22:27So I think there is a swell of popularity.
- 22:30The dance agree issues on vinyl that just came out.
- 22:33I think it's very possible you could see dancing and Misfits
- 22:36get in. OK.
- 22:37I'm going to try to pick it up a little now.
- 22:39Dio, I talked about this. We just reviewed on the Glacier
- 22:42the musical podcast that I'm part of the new Heaven and Hell
- 22:46box that Heaven and hell is basically deal with Sabbath
- 22:48again. We're not allowed to be called
- 22:50Black Sabbath because the plans were already in place for Ozzy
- 22:53to get back with Sabbath one more time.
- 22:55But I think Dio between Rainbow, his solo career, Black Sabbath,
- 22:59he really, it's kind of a terrible omission that he's not
- 23:03in the Hall of Fame. I mean, Rainbow is not in the
- 23:05Hall of Fame, but like, you know, Deep Purple, Richie
- 23:09Blackmore is in with Deep Purple, so maybe there's less
- 23:11impetus to put him in. Planet Rock'n'roll is here.
- 23:15What's up? What's up?
- 23:16So maybe there's just less pressure to put him in.
- 23:18But Dio, it's kind of an oversight at this point.
- 23:20He needs to be in great singer, influential, charismatic and
- 23:25influence many genres of music, not just heavy metal.
- 23:28So Tool I think is like the first real modern band of the
- 23:33last 30 years that the side Alice In Chains that's a little
- 23:37older than them. I think Tool probably should be
- 23:39in and could get in in the next few years.
- 23:42I think there's a tremendous popularity that Tool continues
- 23:46to enjoy. They have stayed out on the road
- 23:47much longer than I expected. They are enormously successful
- 23:52at touring and making money, which is why they don't stop and
- 23:56go make a new record. Although apparently progress is
- 23:59being made on at least an EP from Danny Carey, Adam Jones and
- 24:03Justin Chancellor. I think Maynard's high profile
- 24:08because of Puscifer in a Perfect Circle.
- 24:10He's constantly busy and active and he always has something new
- 24:13and creative out. I think Tool is probably the
- 24:16first band of that alternative rock and metal era that we'll
- 24:19probably get it. I know Jane's Addiction is
- 24:22already in. Faith No More would be the next
- 24:24one up to me. I'm very disappointed about the
- 24:27patent. Basically no interest in ever
- 24:29reuniting with Faith No More. If I were Faith No More, even
- 24:31though this kind of breaks my heart, they should just go get a
- 24:33new singer and come back out as Faith No More and even just do
- 24:36the hits. I don't care.
- 24:37Mike doesn't care. Those guys should be making
- 24:40their music they made. I think it sucks AI on on TikTok
- 24:48thinks we're talking about 2023 when we're talking about I
- 24:50mentioned 2023 once for a second.
- 24:52We are talking about the 2026 class of the Rock and Roll Hall
- 24:55of Fame inductees. Faith No More even though they
- 25:01broke up in 97 and didn't come back till 2008 or 9.
- 25:06Absolutely essential, important iconic band has to has to be in
- 25:11the Hall of Fame somehow. Pantera Pantera is having a
- 25:15renaissance with their new formation of Pantera with Philip
- 25:18Anselmo, Zakk Wylde, Charlie Benante of Anthrax and and Rex
- 25:26Brown. Pantera is touring the world
- 25:29with Metallica. The profile is absolutely
- 25:31elevated. They are also been able to
- 25:34headline their own tours or Co headline tours and so even do
- 25:38arenas, which even, you know, back when they were doing
- 25:40arenas, it was for a very brief period of time, so really
- 25:45impressive. I think Pantera, if they can get
- 25:48over a kind of the stigma of, you know, Phillips past
- 25:52mistakes, I think it's possible they could get in.
- 25:54I think there's a lot of sentiment that they should be
- 25:56in, especially for the brothers. Being passed away now feels like
- 26:01they should be in. And in terms of the heavy bands,
- 26:04maybe they are the heaviest band that could get in Linkin Park.
- 26:08Just seems mind boggling to me that they're not in.
- 26:11They are the biggest selling band of the 2000s.
- 26:15And Chester died tragically and we're coming up on that
- 26:18anniversary, which is very sad for me, but absolutely their
- 26:23comeback should be an indication that they are an everlasting
- 26:26popular band. That new record was good.
- 26:29I liked it. I didn't.
- 26:30I definitely didn't hate it. I liked it.
- 26:32But they sold out an arena tour all over the world in places the
- 26:36original Linkin Park never played.
- 26:37Africa, Dubai, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, like absolutely
- 26:43sold out arenas everywhere. Real ticket sales, not bots and
- 26:47empty seats. Those shows were sold out, and I
- 26:50think Emily Armstrong has lived up to the challenge, as hard as
- 26:53it was for her System of a Down. So here's another band,
- 26:58Humongous especially. They're more popular now than
- 27:01they ever were, partially because they were gone for a
- 27:03long time. And I think with Rick Rubin
- 27:05getting in, you might see the Rick Rubin bands get him to
- 27:11stump for them like System of a Down, you know?
- 27:15So I think it's very interesting that he's in.
- 27:17And so maybe System will get in as a result of Rick Rubin being
- 27:21in. Korn is another band celebrated
- 27:2430 years the last few years, not quite an arena level band, but
- 27:31they are headlining sick New World Las Vegas in a couple of
- 27:33weeks that Ghost Cult is covering Keep.
- 27:35It's a ghostcalledman.com for the review coverage of that
- 27:38coming soon from our team. And yeah, just a huge
- 27:45influential man. They were the first new metal
- 27:47band by all you know, intents and purposes of the true dawn of
- 27:51the genre Korn should be in. Great photo here by Kim Hanson,
- 27:54who is also, incidentally, going to cover Sick New World and
- 27:57speaking to Kim Hanson. Here's another photo of Kim's
- 28:00Deftones. Again, Sick New World, Deftones
- 28:03as popular as they ever were. I watched them this time a year
- 28:07ago, Headline and arena where they even joked at like 2530
- 28:12years ago, they would have a hard time filling up the
- 28:14smallest room in the city and they did they did the chase
- 28:17center where the Golden State Warriors play.
- 28:21So you know, thanks to everybody that's watching on YouTube and
- 28:24twitch and Facebook. I appreciate you and y'all on
- 28:27the tick of the talk. So Deftones, you know, I think
- 28:30it might be a hard sell for some of the older boomerish people in
- 28:36the, you know, people in the voting crew, the voting class.
- 28:43But like, Deftones is a band that probably, I would say they
- 28:47should be getting in soon. It's now 31 years since their
- 28:50first release, and they've been a band for 36, seven years.
- 28:54And we just had the anniversary of the passing of Chi Chang, the
- 28:58original bass player who was a huge fan of Slipknot's, another
- 29:01band, maybe next to Metallica, the biggest band in the world in
- 29:05terms of heavy music. And again, like they have been
- 29:11around, they again, like have their own lifestyle website that
- 29:14is bigger than all the other little metal websites combined.
- 29:18They have their own festivals. They had their own crews at one
- 29:21point. They have their own clothing and
- 29:22merch drops constantly. They have spawned several solo
- 29:26and other band careers for other people, Joey Jordison's late
- 29:31Joey Jordison's other bands and side projects, Corey Taylor's
- 29:35solo career and Stone Sour. So kind of mind blowing that
- 29:40they haven't even been nominated at least once.
- 29:42It's weird actually. But again, Slayer in a Justin
- 29:47true world, Slayer would be the next band in after Metallica in
- 29:50terms of popularity and influence in thrash metal.
- 29:55But you know, will they put Slayer in there?
- 29:56So evil and dark. Maybe it's funny and fun they'll
- 30:00put them in, but also like I could see that.
- 30:03I could see just all the, you know, having to talk about
- 30:06serial killers and, and, you know, you know, the World War 2
- 30:12Holocaust themes and things like that.
- 30:14I was trying to find a polite way to say this without dropping
- 30:17the N bomb. Not the one you're thinking, the
- 30:20other one. And so yeah, yeah, I'd love to
- 30:25see Slayer get in just because it would make people
- 30:27uncomfortable and it would be fun.
- 30:28But like, you know, maybe not. Maybe it's better that they
- 30:30don't get in. Same with Motörhead.
- 30:32Motörhead really is an influential band.
- 30:34Should have been in a long time ago.
- 30:36And we'll start talking about this caliber of bands.
- 30:38But Lemmy, absolute icon, Motörhead, absolutely iconic.
- 30:43No one. You know, a lot of bands now
- 30:45want to sound like them. There's a whole underground of
- 30:48bands right now that wish they were Motörhead to varying
- 30:51degrees. Blackened Motörhead, thrashy or
- 30:53Motörhead, Trusty Motörhead, but Motörhead is Motörhead.
- 30:58They play rock'n'roll Smashing Pumpkins, kind of along the same
- 31:04lines as a lot of the grunge bands I know.
- 31:05They were kind of the next run down, but really they are as
- 31:09popular as they have ever been. They've been doing arena tours
- 31:11all over the world. They have another bunch of tours
- 31:14and festivals lined up soon, and they just keep their star keeps
- 31:20growing and growing. It seems like that's a band with
- 31:23legs to still grow. I was gifted that.
- 31:25Wonderful melancholy in the Infinite Sadness box set last
- 31:29year and it really made my whole life.
- 31:31It was wonderful. Really reconnected me to the
- 31:33band and how great that album was and how defining for a
- 31:37generation it was. Cole will have a new album later
- 31:40this year. Don't know who else is in the
- 31:42band beside Courtney Love, who is also working on her memoir.
- 31:45You know, often imitated, never duplicated, overheated.
- 31:49I love Cole and Courtney Love, she has a direct influence on
- 31:52every grunge band. She was the original singer of
- 31:55Faith No More, although she didn't last too long.
- 31:58She's much more important to music than you realize, and she
- 32:01should be in a right and just world.
- 32:03In the Hall of Fame, Cranberries are having kind of a wave of
- 32:09resurgence as their legacy albums are getting full reissue
- 32:12treatments, including Everybody Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?
- 32:17And No Need to Argue. And you know, Dolores had her
- 32:21life cut down sadly and tragically.
- 32:23But, you know, brilliant, singular, great talent, pop,
- 32:29poppy, catchy, wonderful, emotional, all the boxes, you
- 32:34know, has four or five albums. She tried to kind of launch a
- 32:38solo career. Not sure if they will be top of
- 32:43mind to get in but they surely should be considered.
- 32:47A lot of Cranberries music is used in movies and television
- 32:49that I think people don't realize.
- 32:51Queens of the Stone Age is a band maybe on the next run
- 32:55rundown from the last 25 years, obviously Josh Ham again.
- 32:58Maybe Caius and Queens of the Stone Age get in together.
- 33:01That would be super awkward for some of those guys.
- 33:05I think it'd be interesting and fun.
- 33:06You know, there's a lot of like fake Internet stories about
- 33:08Caius reuniting. It's not happening, but I think
- 33:13Josh has a lot of, generally speaking, goodwill.
- 33:15Not the best guy battling his demons, battling illnesses, but
- 33:19hopefully he's kicked it all and they're going to come back on
- 33:23tour. And I'd love to see Queens of
- 33:24the Stone Age get it. They absolutely deserve to be
- 33:27in. I know they've got maybe 5 or 6
- 33:30albums in 25 years, so or 27 or 28 years.
- 33:35It's almost 30 years as a band since Kaia's broke up, so Queens
- 33:38would be interesting to see if they got in Megadeth.
- 33:42I would love for Dave Mustang to get in the Rock and Roll Hall of
- 33:44Fame. I think Slayer probably can't
- 33:47get in Megadeth. Maybe could get in as the more
- 33:49technical equivalent to Metallica.
- 33:52I think it would be very gratifying for Dave to get in
- 33:55and get to be there. He should have been there for
- 33:58Metallica. He was intended to be inducted.
- 34:00He declined to come. He was invited.
- 34:07What can you do? I love Megadeth, I hope to see
- 34:10them on tour with Iron Maiden and I'd love to see them get in.
- 34:15Speaking of my other favorite thrash metal band and really my
- 34:17one of my second favorite thrash metal band ever is Anthrax.
- 34:21I'm from the Bronx, NY. I have Anthrax patch on my my
- 34:25battle vest. What's up Rob Rage and Michael
- 34:28Licious on TikTok. I'd love to see Anthrax get in
- 34:31the Hall of Fame. 2 singers, three different, you know,
- 34:37sounds and genre changes in their career at least.
- 34:41Much more than just a metal band, not a set, you know, not
- 34:44much more than just a satanic buffoonery and swords and
- 34:48sorcery. Really topical, interesting,
- 34:50diverse band. And obviously clearly, you know,
- 34:56bring the Noise and I'm the Man are tremendous movements in
- 35:03music and really what for better or worse invented rap metal.
- 35:06Ruston Uncle Joram says Rust in Peace is the perfect album.
- 35:09It is the perfect album. My other podcast, Glacially
- 35:12Musical, which you can look up Glacial Glacial Musical on
- 35:16YouTube. We just reviewed the first four
- 35:18Megadeth records and we hit on Rust in Peace as a 9:50 perfect
- 35:23album. Mostly 3/2 of the three of us on
- 35:25the podcast said it was a perfect album.
- 35:29And then the other guy anyway, who else do I have here?
- 35:34Lamb of God? I think in terms of the modern
- 35:36bands, Gojira might be a little ahead of them because of the
- 35:38Olympics thing. And I don't think Lamb of God
- 35:41could get in before, let's say, a Pantera could get in.
- 35:43But I think there's a lot of tremendous respect for Lamb of
- 35:46God. And in a weird bizarre way,
- 35:49because of Randy's incarceration and the like, how big that was
- 35:53in the scene for him to come home and be acquitted of murder
- 35:57in Czech Republic. Maybe that has the profile of
- 36:00Lamb of God big, but they are coming off another incredible
- 36:04album. 7 albums in 30 years as a band plus one album is Burned
- 36:09the Priest. Plus the covers album is Burned
- 36:10the Priest. But Lamb of God, really the
- 36:14consummate modern metal band of the last 20 years for sure,
- 36:19along with Mastodon. So here's Gojira again.
- 36:22The Olympics has raised their profile.
- 36:23I think when Gojira drops this next record, I could see them
- 36:27headlining arenas and having like all the fire and
- 36:30everything, the smoke and all the things.
- 36:34They're bigger still in Europe than America, but they're
- 36:36certainly getting huge here. Now.
- 36:40Type O Negative is a band I did not talk about, but I have Type
- 36:42O Negative on the brain. It is the anniversary of Pete's
- 36:46death and I feel like Type O Negative did not get enough of
- 36:50their due. They definitely sold a lot of
- 36:52records. At one point Type O Negative was
- 36:54the biggest selling band on Roadrunner, topped later on by
- 36:58Slipknot in 1999, although not initially, maybe it took a
- 37:01couple of years and then topped again by unfortunately,
- 37:03Nickelback. But Type O Negative really put
- 37:06Roadrunner. Maybe didn't put them on the
- 37:08map, but it absolutely established them as a force to
- 37:11be reckoned with in the music industry.
- 37:13And bands they like those bands that came out after Type Type O
- 37:17Negative, you know, or alongside of them, Life of Agony,
- 37:22Sepultura, who were a little before them.
- 37:24But Machine Head, Fear Factory, these bands or all given a big
- 37:29berth because Type O Negative kicked the door in with Peter's
- 37:32especially large boots. And you'll be looking out for a
- 37:35Type O Negative live album which is being mixed right now, as
- 37:39well as perhaps a tribute concert to Peter at some point
- 37:43with the release of that album. Living Color is a band a lot of
- 37:46people don't talk enough about. I love Living Color, they've
- 37:49been around since the mid 80s, started putting out music with
- 37:5280 Eights debut and they really are an unfucked with a bull
- 37:59force. I would really love to see them
- 38:01get in. It would be really special for
- 38:03me as a long time fan. There are probably few singers
- 38:07as good as Corey Glover in the whole planet.
- 38:09Just seriously. And you can kind of say that
- 38:12about everybody in that band. Rammstein is a band.
- 38:15I think their popularity is a little sneaky.
- 38:18They are hugely popular. Obviously, they're like in
- 38:21Europe, they have like collaborations with the fashion
- 38:24brand Balenciaga for like $1000, Fanny packs and shoes.
- 38:28I think I'm a little surprised at Till Lindemann's solo career
- 38:32and how big it's become and how like grandiose he's getting with
- 38:37his own festival now just announced.
- 38:38So I think Rammstein's kind of got like a outside chance of
- 38:42getting in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame someday.
- 38:44The spectacle, the thing they built, the singularity of the
- 38:47Dutch Newhart style of music. I think they can claim all that,
- 38:53at least as leaders and certainly the most popular band.
- 38:56STP. The mind boggles.
- 38:58Similar to Pumpkins and Chains. How are they not?
- 39:00How are they not even nominated yet to get in?
- 39:03That's seems mean. I know Weiland is dead.
- 39:06They are a killer band with their current singer Jeff Gutt
- 39:08who does a hell of a Weiland. They were original music with
- 39:11Jeff is great. I hope they will come out with a
- 39:13new full-fledged album but seems like there's a lot of money in
- 39:16playing the hits for them. I saw them do Purple about a
- 39:19year and a half ago. Was unbelievable.
- 39:21It's my favorite STP record is Purple Bjork.
- 39:24Bjork is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
- 39:26It's kind of weird. She should be in.
- 39:28She is a brilliant talent. I know she hasn't done as much
- 39:32and maybe some of the like, similar to Mike Patton, like all
- 39:36of her wide-ranging stuff has kind of shrunk in recent times.
- 39:40And for her political activism and films and things like that
- 39:44have taken equal standing to her music.
- 39:46But Bjork is one of the most original and singular artists
- 39:49we've ever had, and she absolutely should be in.
- 39:52It's weird that she's not in again.
- 39:54I'm going to beat the drum for Thin Lizzie, one of my favorite
- 39:58bands, which easily should be talked alongside of Sabbath,
- 40:01Zeppelin, you know, Pink Floyd, Bloister Cults, all the
- 40:05progressive rock bands. And they just don't get their
- 40:08due because they never broke in America.
- 40:09But they're much more than the greatest hits that they have,
- 40:11much more than The Boys Are Back in Town and Jailbreak.
- 40:14They have so many great songs and whiskey in the jar.
- 40:17Pixies. Pixies got to get in at some
- 40:20point I think for alternative rock.
- 40:22I was a Pixies fan in high school.
- 40:24I had the Surfer Rosa and Doolittle tape and I had them
- 40:29both dubbed on a tape on 120 minute Denon tape that I used to
- 40:34play in my auto reverse cassette player.
- 40:36And Pixies are just an all time great band.
- 40:38It'd be interesting to see them have to reunite on stage
- 40:40together to put Kim and Frank, you know, and and Frank there,
- 40:46Black Frank there, Frank Black black Francis, whatever he calls
- 40:49himself now. But yeah, should be in talking
- 40:51about some punks L sevens another band again I talked
- 40:54about last year I really love. Really should get a lot more
- 40:57credit alongside a whole and Bikini Kill.
- 41:01Sublime with a brand new album coming out with Jacob Noel,
- 41:05Sublime feels like a band that is much deeper than just a good
- 41:10time Scott punk pop band that we know.
- 41:14I think they could get in someday.
- 41:17Here is Creed. Don't laugh.
- 41:19I think Creed will get in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in
- 41:21about 5 years. They are also a 2000s band or 99
- 41:25to 2000s band and the King of the Mohame.
- 41:30And I think they should probably get it.
- 41:32And I got to meet Scott Snap and he's really nice and cool.
- 41:35I interviewed Tramonti a few times, including for his Frank
- 41:38Sinatra music record and performance, and love those
- 41:42guys. But yeah, Creed probably should
- 41:43get it. Killing Joke again, if Joy
- 41:48Division and New Order got in, maybe Killing Joke can get in.
- 41:51I don't know, but they should. I shot this photo.
- 41:54This is a pretty cool photo. I'm very proud of Ministry.
- 41:58Maybe again, too extreme drugs, sex rock'n'roll, maybe too much
- 42:02like Slayer, too evil to get in. But I'd love to see Ministry get
- 42:06in. It would be a tremendous
- 42:08validation. And you know, Al would just be
- 42:10like middle fingers up the hell with this.
- 42:13But I think it'd be fun if you got to get in Bad Religion.
- 42:18We recently covered this is a shot by Omar Kordy from the
- 42:22Brooklyn Bridge as a backdrop. Bad Religion is the
- 42:25quintessential to me American punk band after the Ramones and
- 42:29I really think they should be in again.
- 42:32Bikini Kill. Same story as L7 and whole
- 42:35really overlooked and ought to be in Oh, here's Bad Religion.
- 42:39Oh, I think the other picture was Devo.
- 42:41I'm sorry, I'm I'm getting tired and I had two coffees today and
- 42:44I'm still tired. Suicidal.
- 42:46My heart says yes, probably not, but you know the name.
- 42:49Suicidal is probably the thing that keeps them out.
- 42:51But I dearly love Suicidal Tendencies.
- 42:54Influential for both punk and thrash metal.
- 43:01Melvin's Sorry, no effects. I think now that they're broken
- 43:07up and retired and that documentary came out which
- 43:09hasn't kind of hit streaming yet, but I'm looking forward to
- 43:12it. I think no effects probably can
- 43:15get in eventually. Same can be said for Blink 182
- 43:20who ripped off no effects. I wouldn't be surprised if Blink
- 43:24182 gets it next year. I really wouldn't.
- 43:28I wouldn't, I wouldn't be surprised.
- 43:31I don't love them but I think they will get in.
- 43:34Fishbone is a band. Considering the Red Hot Chili
- 43:37Peppers and Jane's Addiction are in, Fishbone would be the third
- 43:40of that alternative rock genre genre blending type of band.
- 43:44We have a great interview on our YouTube channel with my co-owner
- 43:48Omar Cordy and Angela Moore. Fishbone.
- 43:50Fishbone new like reimagine new album, their re release of one
- 43:55of their classic albums alongside of a whole album of
- 43:58covers by contemporary punks. Really great and that's the
- 44:03show. Tell me in the comments Three
- 44:05Dog Night. I feel like they had some big
- 44:08hits. Maybe they're too small a band
- 44:11to get in by themselves, you know thanks back I appreciate
- 44:18you coming in who else should get in drop a comment if you're
- 44:20watching this on the replay or listening to the podcast version
- 44:23of this, drop a comment and the Grand Funk had millions and
- 44:27millions of album sales. I just don't know that they have
- 44:30the like clout, like the fan love Grand Funk.
- 44:39It's interesting. My podcast we did like 6 Grand
- 44:41Funk records as a review and they have hits and I wasn't
- 44:46quite sure why they're those records sold tons of platinum
- 44:51albums because they were like very mid to be honest, except
- 44:55for the big hits. But you know, great, great band.
- 44:58Small, small faces. Is that who you're asking about?
- 45:04I don't know, man. I don't know.
- 45:07Grand Funk maybe. I mean, I didn't think Triumph
- 45:11should be on tour, touring arenas in giant theaters right
- 45:14now. I Triumph's a fine band.
- 45:16I enjoy some of their songs. They are not like Rush.
- 45:19Tower of Power should definitely be in.
- 45:22Tower of Power should be in. That's a great one.
- 45:25You know, Triumph, good band, but like are there are other
- 45:29Canadian bands that are better than them and bigger than them
- 45:31that are not in? So you know, just curious.
- 45:35I'd like to see some more of the thrash bands get in.
- 45:38I'd love to see a Mastodon get in.
- 45:40I'd love to see a Lamb of God and a Gojira get in someday from
- 45:42this era of music. And then really I think it's a
- 45:45little too soon for your metal core bands.
- 45:47I get asked all the time about Kill Switch and you know that
- 45:51Ilka bands and I just think it's a little too soon for them to
- 45:55get in, but it is 25 years after a lot of them have come out.
- 45:58Now on Earth goes back to the late 90s.
- 46:02Hatebreed would be an interesting band if they got on
- 46:05the ballot because they kind of popularized sort of metallic
- 46:08hardcore and metal core and just basically took the Slayer model
- 46:12with a little better singing. You know, I respect Josh that
- 46:16I'm going to Milwaukee Metal Fest.
- 46:17So if you're out there, look for me and say what's up.
- 46:19Give me a crisp high 5. But Nugent, man, Uncle Jorums, I
- 46:25fucking can't do Ted Nugent, bro.
- 46:27He's a pedo and he's a racist. I have nothing good this.
- 46:31Was he a great guitar player? Sure.
- 46:37Oh, OK. Yeah.
- 46:39I mean, beat all night. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 46:42OK. Sorry.
- 46:44Yeah. They sold millions of records,
- 46:45that's true. But again, supposedly, according
- 46:47to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, record sales are not a
- 46:50defining factor of getting in. Look, Mariah Carey is the
- 46:53biggest selling female artist of all time and she did not get in
- 46:56yet. Lauryn Hill has one huge banger
- 46:59album. Hey, from London, Ian Holmes,
- 47:02thank you for being here. You know, Lauryn Hill has one
- 47:07huge banger album as a solo artist and one huge banger album
- 47:10with The Fugees and nothing else except like a bad reputation in
- 47:14the industry. So I mean, I think she's
- 47:16brilliant, but like, that's probably what's going to keep
- 47:18her out. Mariah should probably get in at
- 47:20some point. She's too big and too talent.
- 47:22She's very talented. I just don't think people like
- 47:25her. She's not likable.
- 47:26I guess that's a it is a popularity contest.
- 47:28I mean, I can't I can't do Nugent though.
- 47:31I'm sorry. I saw Tool cover stranglehold
- 47:34with buzz from the Melvins. That's about the best Ted Nugent
- 47:37memory I've ever had, you know, And in terms of those 90s bands
- 47:42that really hit home for me, and it took a long time for, you
- 47:45know, Rage to get in and they weren't going to accept it, you
- 47:49know? So Sound Gardens in, you know, I
- 47:53got to believe some more metal bands can get in someday.
- 47:57Alice In Chains got and Alice In Chains STP got to be next.
- 48:03And then I think because of Little Feat, man, I love Little
- 48:06Feat is probably one of the most underrated bands of all time.
- 48:09And again then Lizzy is not in from that era.
- 48:14I think the Doobies are in. So it's interesting that Little
- 48:17Feat is not in because I would consider them a contemporary.
- 48:20I love Lowell George also too short a career, but they have
- 48:23continued on without Lowell Mountain probably should be in,
- 48:27dude. They were maybe even arguably
- 48:29one of the first heavy metal bands, you know?
- 48:33And you know, W is an incredible guitar player and really like
- 48:38much. I'd rather like listen to Leslie
- 48:40West today than Clapton. I grew up on Clapton.
- 48:42I saw him in concert. He does nothing for me
- 48:45personally. Love to see Mountain get in.
- 48:48If anybody else has got a few more, I'll hang on a few more
- 48:51minutes. It is 1230 Pacific in California
- 48:54and I need to get on with the end of my night.
- 48:56But if there's anybody else you think should be in that is not
- 48:59in, drop a comment. I will answer back after.
- 49:03Again, thanks for watching. We had a very nice viewership
- 49:05considering this was done late at night.
- 49:07I'll be back on maybe tomorrow with another live stream.
- 49:12I have AI, have a top secret mission, and then I'm going to
- 49:17see Behemoth and D Aside and Rod in Christ and Immolation at the
- 49:23Regency Ballroom here in San Francisco.
- 49:25Despite my disdain for the sound of that place, I will see many
- 49:29folks from the city who love metal.
- 49:34Yeah, I mean, mountain, arguably, arguably.
- 49:37I think I think Cream with Politician to me is like the
- 49:42first song that you could call metal.
- 49:46And then I mean, again, I know black.
- 49:48I know. Iommi continues to say we are
- 49:50not metal, but like, it's metal. You can, you know.
- 49:54Hey, Chucky, what up, brother? Always great to see you.
- 49:57Chucky Brown. Keep me posted on what you got
- 49:59going on. Chucky.
- 50:00I always want to promote and help you, you know, DM me,
- 50:03e-mail me. Whatever you got to do, bro, I
- 50:05got you, we got you. Whatever you got going on in the
- 50:07city. Omar is still out there.
- 50:10I'm coming through hopefully later this year or, or if not,
- 50:13sometime next year. But like, I really appreciate
- 50:16you, Chuck. You're one of the real ones.
- 50:17But yeah, man, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame made and made it.
- 50:22Finally. Grew up with a lot of music.
- 50:25Dude same same. I was born a little too late to
- 50:28see some of my heroes but I did see a lot of cool bands in the
- 50:3180s. If you're new here I always say
- 50:34please like and subscribe. That helps us.
- 50:36And again if you didn't like what you saw you disagree with
- 50:39me. Also comment because I read all
- 50:41of them and I comment on all of them and I don't mind getting
- 50:45some heat and some smoke. It helps me become better.
- 50:50I'm Keithy at ghostcultmag.com. We'll be back tomorrow.
- 50:53Check out ghostcultmag.com for all your heavy metal, rock and
- 50:56metal and hardcore and punk and death metal and doom needs.

- 51:02Peace.
