- 0:00Speaker 1: And now Amy's got a hit of celeb news. What
- 0:02Speaker 1: are you looking at?
- 0:03Speaker 2: Yeah, so obviously we had a huge weekend of sports. Yeah.
- 0:07Speaker 3: AFL Grand Final, Fremantle lost to the Brisbane Lions.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I just wanted to say the wrong 96-89, which
- 0:18Speaker 2: was a huge upset.
- 0:20Speaker 3: I actually felt really sorry.
- 0:22Speaker 2: But I wanted to chat about what people are calling
- 0:24Speaker 2: the best pre-show of all time, which I actually found
- 0:28Speaker 2: interesting because, My husband was playing on his phone after
- 0:32Speaker 2: the AFL grand final had finished and he goes, oh,
- 0:35Speaker 2: Kylie Minogue's getting slammed.
- 0:37Speaker 1: And I was like.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Oh, really?
- 0:39Speaker 1: For what?
- 0:40Speaker 3: For just, I guess, not performing.
- 0:42Speaker 2: And then I got on my phone and all I
- 0:44Speaker 2: saw was just praise, praise, praise.
- 0:47Speaker 1: And I said.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Isn't it funny that your algorithm's just feeding you negative
- 0:51Speaker 2: comments and all I'm getting is the good stuff.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Do you think Kirstie's a bloke? Maybe he's just getting
- 0:56Speaker 1: all these footy heads going, oh, we should have had
- 0:58Speaker 1: Jimmy Barnes. Yeah, probably.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Shannon Knoll.
- 1:02Speaker 2: So obviously she kicked off the AFL grand final pre-show
- 1:05Speaker 2: entertainment to a sold out crowd at the MCG in Melbourne.
- 1:08Speaker 2: And she performed a medley of her biggest hits from
- 1:11Speaker 2: her five decade long career. So she, She sung things
- 1:16Speaker 2: like spinning around in your eyes on a night like this.
- 1:21Speaker 2: She actually performed Padam Padam with G Flip.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. She did Locomotion, a personal fave of mine.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Oh, you like Locomotion, do you?
- 1:28Speaker 3: I love Locomotion.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Can't get you out of my head.
- 1:31Speaker 2: And there was obviously loads of surprise appearances. William Barton,
- 1:35Speaker 2: who she's actually got a song with.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:36Speaker 2: And Aussie DJ Dom Dollar. So have a listen to
- 1:40Speaker 2: a snippet of the performance. And the inspired unemployed also
- 1:45Speaker 2: kicked off the Locomotion.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Apparently.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Jack, I think, had one job and it was like
- 1:49Speaker 2: two lines and he stuffed them up on the day
- 1:52Speaker 2: as well.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Okay, here we go. Here's Kylie at the AFL Grand Final.
- 2:02Speaker 5: Oh, boy!
- 2:32Speaker 1: And she was actually singing, yeah?
- 2:41Speaker 4: Yes.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You can tell there. It's not lip syncing. Yeah. What
- 2:43Speaker 1: about Robbie? Why didn't he turn up?
- 2:46Speaker 5: No.
- 2:47Speaker 3: He actually did not turn up. So he was in Peru.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:50Speaker 3: And his show actually got cancelled. So he could have
- 2:53Speaker 3: turned up.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Apparently they had some safety protocols.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 2:58Speaker 2: So his show wasn't able to go ahead, but he
- 3:00Speaker 2: did speak to fans outside a hotel and he did
- 3:02Speaker 2: an impromptu acapella performance for them.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Have a listen.
- 3:07Speaker 5: I am broken hearted that we cannot do.
- 3:11Speaker 1: The show tonight. It is beyond our control. It's nothing
- 3:18Speaker 1: to do with us. We'll be back as soon as
- 3:22Speaker 1: we can be back. God bless you. And if you
- 3:27Speaker 1: wouldn't mind, I'd.
- 3:28Speaker 5: Like to do a little show here.
- 3:43Speaker 2: And country music star Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton were
- 3:48Speaker 2: nearly friends for 50 years. They first met in September
- 3:53Speaker 2: 1977 until Dolly's death last month at 80 years old.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:57Speaker 2: In a new sit-down interview with ET, Reba actually opened up.
- 4:01Speaker 3: About missing a call from Dolly.
- 4:03Speaker 4: What?
- 4:03Speaker 3: Right before she passed. And she actually never got to
- 4:06Speaker 3: speak to her again, which sounds so sad. Have a listen.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Well, it took us a long time to connect. And
- 4:13Speaker 4: it was really special when we finally did connect and
- 4:16Speaker 4: get to talk. And I didn't want to keep her.
- 4:19Speaker 4: I knew she was busy, because she always is. And
- 4:22Speaker 4: then she did call me the last of July, and
- 4:25Speaker 4: I was in a meeting, and I missed her call.
- 4:27Speaker 4: And I tried to get back in touch with her,
- 4:29Speaker 4: and I couldn't. Never made connection. And then when Lisa Davis,
- 4:34Speaker 4: my buddy, called me the morning of the 25th, and
- 4:36Speaker 4: she said, Dolly's gone. I thought, I'll never know why
- 4:40Speaker 4: she called me. So that, I'll find out one day.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Oh, that is sad.
- 4:48Speaker 3: You know what? That would be me.
- 4:49Speaker 2: I am absolutely hopeless when it comes to answering my phone.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yeah, me too.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Because my phone is always on silent.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Yeah, mine's on D & D all the time.
- 4:57Speaker 3: I don't understand people who do that.
- 4:59Speaker 6: I don't want to be disturbed. It's called do not disturb. Yeah,
- 5:02Speaker 6: I keep it on D & D. I reckon 90%
- 5:04Speaker 6: of the time.
- 5:05Speaker 3: I find that so rude.
- 5:06Speaker 1: It's on D & D right now.
- 5:07Speaker 3: So if anyone wants to get in touch with you.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Well, I just check notifications.
- 5:11Speaker 2: How does your girlfriend get in touch with you?
- 5:13Speaker 3: Yeah, but if you've got on D & D and
- 5:15Speaker 3: I try and call you, it just goes instantly to voicemail.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:17Speaker 6: But I'll check, and if she sent me a text, I'll–
- 5:21Speaker 6: I get missed calls. I call people back. I'm just
- 5:23Speaker 6: screening people all the time.
- 5:24Speaker 3: You used to see a Drake or something. Oh, I've
- 5:26Speaker 3: got to put it on D & D all the time.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Well, I mean, that's just how I roll, mate.
- 5:33Speaker 6: But, yeah, if I had a missed call from my mum,
- 5:35Speaker 6: it makes you think because I screen a lot of
- 5:36Speaker 6: their calls.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, here we go again. But, you know,
- 5:39Speaker 1: they're not going to be around forever.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Yeah, your mum.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Might have tried to call you and you've got your
- 5:43Speaker 2: bloody D & D on and that could be the last.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I'll call her back. Oh, piss off. That'll be the last.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Too late.
- 5:49Speaker 3: No, she's passed.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Call Amy telling me my mum has died live on air. Yeah,
- 5:55Speaker 1: while you're on D & D.
