- 0:33Speaker 3: A wife is frying eggs for her husband in the morning.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Suddenly the husband appears behind the wife's back and says, careful, careful,
- 0:43Speaker 3: put more fat in the pan. You're frying too many
- 0:46Speaker 3: at a time, too many. Flip them, flip them. Come on,
- 0:51Speaker 3: put more fat in there. Oh, dear lord, you are
- 0:54Speaker 3: going to make more space for the fat. Now. Look,
- 0:58Speaker 3: they're sticking to the pan. Be careful, careful now, never
- 1:03Speaker 3: listen to me when I cook. Never flip them. Flip
- 1:07Speaker 3: them over already, hurry, are you crazy? Take it easy, easy, No,
- 1:13Speaker 3: don't forget the salt. Put salt on them.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Salt.
- 1:18Speaker 3: The husband goes on about this until the wife stops him.
- 1:24Speaker 3: The wife stares and even glares at her husband. What's
- 1:28Speaker 3: wrong with you? You think I can't fry a few eggs.
- 1:33Speaker 3: The husband looks at her and calmly says, I just
- 1:38Speaker 3: wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm driving.
- 1:48Speaker 3: We live in a world of divisions political, social, economic,
- 1:53Speaker 3: and spiritual, but there are places where those lines blur,
- 1:57Speaker 3: where humanity reveals itself, not in the titles we hold
- 2:02Speaker 3: or the opinions we voice, but in the new broad
- 2:06Speaker 3: truth of a shared vulnerability. In today's episode, we step
- 2:11Speaker 3: into one of those places, a place where masks fall away,
- 2:16Speaker 3: rolls reverse, and something deeper arises to the surface. This
- 2:22Speaker 3: is a conversation about what it means to be human
- 2:27Speaker 3: and only what truly matters when everything else is tripped away.
- 2:34Speaker 3: We will talk about this in this week's episode of
- 2:36Speaker 3: Positively three sixty five, but first we have our trivia
- 2:41Speaker 3: question of the day. Are you ready for it? Here
- 2:44Speaker 3: it is which ancient philosopher famously said, the unexamined life
- 2:50Speaker 3: is not worth living. We will have the answer when
- 2:54Speaker 3: we come back.

- 4:47Speaker 3: Do you know the answer to this week's trivia question?
- 4:51Speaker 3: The question was which ancient philosopher famously said the unexamined
- 4:56Speaker 3: life is not worth living? The answer Socrates. He spoke
- 5:02Speaker 3: these words during his trial in Athens, where he was
- 5:06Speaker 3: ultimately sentenced to death for corrupting the youth and impiety.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Socrates believed that a meaningful life requires deep reflection, self inquiry,
- 5:18Speaker 3: and the pursuit of truth and virtue. To him, living
- 5:22Speaker 3: without questioning one's values, actions, and purpose was to miss
- 5:27Speaker 3: the point of being human. His legacy became the foundation
- 5:32Speaker 3: of Western philosophy, urging generations after him to seek wisdom
- 5:38Speaker 3: over comfort. Now, you know, think about it. Most of
- 5:49Speaker 3: the time we walk around playing roles the strong one,
- 5:53Speaker 3: the busy one, the skeptic, the believer, the one who's
- 5:57Speaker 3: got it all together, or the one who doesn't care.
- 6:01Speaker 3: We armor ourselves in opinions, in pride, in image, but
- 6:06Speaker 3: life has a way of cracking that open illness, loss, fear.
- 6:11Speaker 3: These moments don't ask what you believe, how much money
- 6:16Speaker 3: you have, or who you voted for. They only ask
- 6:21Speaker 3: what kind of human are you really? In a hospital,
- 6:27Speaker 3: status doesn't matter, a ceo and a janitor can share
- 6:31Speaker 3: the same diagnosis. A child can become the teacher, reminding
- 6:37Speaker 3: a hardened adult what resilience really looks like. A patient
- 6:42Speaker 3: can become the healer simply by forgiving or by holding
- 6:47Speaker 3: someone's hand at three am. We avoid these places until
- 6:52Speaker 3: we have no choice, But maybe that's when we begin
- 6:56Speaker 3: to understand something real that we are far are more
- 7:00Speaker 3: alike than different, that underneath it all, we are all fragile,
- 7:06Speaker 3: we are all hopeful, and we are all desperate to
- 7:10Speaker 3: be seen, to be comforted, to be loved, and that
- 7:14Speaker 3: brings us here to this moment, this reflection. It has
- 7:26Speaker 3: recently been widely reported on social media that from his
- 7:31Speaker 3: hospital bed, Pope Francis gifted us with these words. The
- 7:38Speaker 3: walls of hospitals have heard more honest prayers than churches.
- 7:44Speaker 3: They have witnessed far more sincere kisses than those in airports.
- 7:50Speaker 3: It is in hospitals that you see a homophobe being
- 7:54Speaker 3: saved by a gay doctor, a privileged doctor saving the
- 7:59Speaker 3: life of a beggar. In intensive care, you see a
- 8:04Speaker 3: jew taking care of a racist, a police officer and
- 8:08Speaker 3: a prisoner in the same room receiving the same care,
- 8:13Speaker 3: a wealthy patient waiting for a liver transplant, ready to
- 8:18Speaker 3: receive the organ from a poor donor. In these moments,
- 8:23Speaker 3: when the hospital touches the wounds of people, that different
- 8:27Speaker 3: worlds intersect according to a divine design, and in this
- 8:31Speaker 3: communion of destinies, we realize that alone we are nothing
- 8:37Speaker 3: the absolute truth of people. Most of the time only
- 8:41Speaker 3: reveals itself in moments of pain or in the real
- 8:45Speaker 3: threat of an irreversible loss. A hospital is a place
- 8:50Speaker 3: where human beings remove their masks and show themselves as
- 8:55Speaker 3: they truly are, in their purest essence. Life will pass quickly,
- 9:01Speaker 3: so do not waste it fighting with people. Do not
- 9:05Speaker 3: criticize your body too much. Do not complain excessively. Do
- 9:11Speaker 3: not lose sleep over bills. Make sure to hug your
- 9:15Speaker 3: loved ones. Do not worry too much about keeping the
- 9:19Speaker 3: house spotless. Material goods must be earned by each person.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Do not dedicate yourself to accumulating an inheritance. You are
- 9:31Speaker 3: waiting far too much. Christmas Friday next year, when you
- 9:38Speaker 3: have money, when love arrives, when everything is perfect, listen,
- 9:45Speaker 3: perfection does not exist. A human being cannot attain it
- 9:50Speaker 3: because we are simply not made to be fulfilled. Here
- 9:55Speaker 3: here we are given an opportunity to learn. So make
- 9:59Speaker 3: the most most of this trial of life, and do
- 10:02Speaker 3: it now. Respect yourself, respect others. Walk your own path
- 10:09Speaker 3: and let go of the path that others have chosen
- 10:12Speaker 3: for you. Respect, Do not comment, do not judge, do
- 10:17Speaker 3: not interfere. Love more, forgive more, embrace more, live more,
- 10:24Speaker 3: intensely and leave the rest in the hands of the creator.
