Late-night drivers in Central Texas, watch out—Interstate 35 is getting some major attention. From August 25th to 27th, eastbound and westbound State Highway 71 will be closed for bridge work over southbound I-35, nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Use Ben White Boulevard as an alternative route, with specific detours based on your direction. This is part of the big I-35 Capital Express South project, which will add HOV lanes and a new southbound bypass to ease traffic around Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive.
