In which our dutiful correspondent describes her arrival in the bustling city, taking possession of a well-appointed residence and familiarising herself with the new and curious surroundings, whilst expressing a yearning for the company of dear friends to restore her spirits. She also recounts details of her household, including the humble state of a penitent under her care and the temporary arrangements for their chaplain, all conveyed with a gentle and observant heart.
