- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York. It's the Mark
- 0:04Speaker 1: Simone Show on sevent tenor.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Hey, it's gonna be really hot today ninety five, a
- 0:14Speaker 2: heath wave day to day, and then tomorrow in the
- 0:17Speaker 2: ninety and then the rest of the weekend sixties. All right,
- 0:21Speaker 2: all right, it's Memorial Day weekend coming up. A lot
- 0:23Speaker 2: to get to today. Corruption scandal with Donald Trump, not really,
- 0:29Speaker 2: it's an MSNBC generated fake one. We'll get to that
- 0:32Speaker 2: in a few minutes. We'll get to the l r R.
- 0:34Speaker 2: We'll get to Iran, we'll get to Colbert. A whole
- 0:38Speaker 2: lot more coming up. Ther strike devastating for a lot
- 0:43Speaker 2: of people, caused nightmare commutes yesterday for people on Long
- 0:48Speaker 2: Island trying to get into the city. You had to
- 0:50Speaker 2: take driver or take an uber to get to the
- 0:54Speaker 2: Queen's Place, where we could take a shuttle bus. They
- 0:57Speaker 2: had a lot of shuttle buses, but the traffic was
- 1:00Speaker 2: so brutal it is normally on the Long Island Railroad,
- 1:03Speaker 2: but it was even more so, and it was so
- 1:05Speaker 2: brutal it would take almost two hours just to get
- 1:08Speaker 2: to Queen's where you had to get on a train.
- 1:11Speaker 2: And then it's been another hour, so it was two
- 1:12Speaker 2: and a half hour, three and a half hour commutes
- 1:14Speaker 2: for a lot of people, and this morning's rush hour
- 1:17Speaker 2: looked like the same thing. Now they've settled the strike,
- 1:21Speaker 2: but the trains won't resume full service until this afternoon.
- 1:25Speaker 2: And remember it's Kathy Hokeel, it's Jano Lieber, the awful
- 1:31Speaker 2: MTA commissioners. So who knows if they'll be on time,
- 1:34Speaker 2: but supposedly you'll have a normal commute home on the
- 1:37Speaker 2: Long Island Railroad today. They settled it. They will not
- 1:41Speaker 2: disclose any terms. The governor will not say anything. They
- 1:46Speaker 2: will just say they're going to pay a fair wage.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Now what does that mean. Why would they not reveal anything, Well,
- 1:52Speaker 2: they say they have to wait till the members vote.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I don't know if that's a vallexcuse. It could be
- 1:58Speaker 2: that they Hochel saw the political damage it was doing
- 2:02Speaker 2: to her and that it was going to cost her
- 2:04Speaker 2: a lot of votes. It just caved in on everything.
- 2:06Speaker 2: We'll see when we get the numbers. But Kathy Hochl.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Now the Long Island service we were old reservice resumed
- 2:13Speaker 3: tomorrow at noon with the full service time, expecting time
- 2:18Speaker 3: for an evening rush hour and yes, in time for
- 2:20Speaker 3: the next game.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so this is Yesually she means tonight tonight, actually
- 2:25Speaker 2: at noon she claims it. It'll resume, so it should
- 2:27Speaker 2: be okay by the evening rush.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Number one, protecting affordability for long Islanders and commuters while
- 2:34Speaker 3: giving fair wages to the employees, and by working and
- 2:38Speaker 3: negotiating together.
- 2:40Speaker 1: We haven't reached that kind of deal.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Well, they say it was five different union heads, but
- 2:44Speaker 2: they say they're all good. They worked as a team,
- 2:46Speaker 2: so they got it done. She always likes to talk
- 2:48Speaker 2: about affordability. Meantime, she's raising your taxes, your property taxes.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Congestion pricing. That was the funniest thing in all of this,
- 2:55Speaker 2: where they said, well, at least you'll shut off the
- 2:57Speaker 2: congestion pricing during the train strike because many people who
- 3:00Speaker 2: wouldn't drive are forced to drive, and they it was
- 3:04Speaker 2: the dumbest explanation, This Jano liber this pompous ass who
- 3:07Speaker 2: runs the MTA.
- 3:08Speaker 4: We can't just turn it on and off. That's not
- 3:11Speaker 4: in our power. And I understand it's an election year
- 3:14Speaker 4: and there's politics and people want to make an issue
- 3:18Speaker 4: of that, but congestion pricing is being used to invest
- 3:22Speaker 4: in the system to make him modern.
- 3:25Speaker 2: No, it's not, and he's just full of crap. Of course,
- 3:28Speaker 2: you could turn it on and off. How do you
- 3:29Speaker 2: think it came on? They turned it on. It's a switch.
- 3:32Speaker 2: You could turn it off. You can shut down the
- 3:34Speaker 2: congestion pricing. Bruce Blakeman, who should be the next governor.
- 3:37Speaker 5: But it's so disingenuous to say that the governor doesn't
- 3:41Speaker 5: have the power to pause it during the strike. The
- 3:43Speaker 5: governor does have the power to pause it. It was
- 3:46Speaker 5: a bad idea to begin with, but it's a terrible
- 3:48Speaker 5: idea to do it during a strike when people have
- 3:51Speaker 5: no choice but to drive into the city.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's just ridiculously phony. You can't trust this
- 3:58Speaker 2: general lever. You certainly can't trust Kathy HKL can't turn
- 4:02Speaker 2: off the congestion pricing. So hey, Iran, look like bombing
- 4:08Speaker 2: would resume. In fact, when it does resume, I'm hearing
- 4:12Speaker 2: it's going to be different than before. It's going to
- 4:14Speaker 2: be much more extensive. The terms being used are full throttle,
- 4:19Speaker 2: full throttle bombing of Iran. They're going to take out
- 4:22Speaker 2: a lot of stuff now, they're going to take out
- 4:24Speaker 2: certain railroad lines because straight oh hor Moose shut that's
- 4:29Speaker 2: where Iran exports its oil, that's where it makes its money.
- 4:32Speaker 2: But apparently there are train lines that they can send
- 4:35Speaker 2: oil to the other end of Iran, and that way
- 4:37Speaker 2: can go to China. The problem is you can't do
- 4:40Speaker 2: a lot of oil on a train. You can a
- 4:42Speaker 2: tremendous amount on those big ships. By train. It's very slow,
- 4:46Speaker 2: but you can get some out. But they're apparently going
- 4:49Speaker 2: to take out those train tracks, so it'll be absolutely
- 4:52Speaker 2: no revenue possibly at all for Iran. Now there's a pause.
- 4:56Speaker 2: The president asked by other countries.
- 4:59Speaker 6: I was asked by Saudi Arabia Guitar Yue and some
- 5:03Speaker 6: others if we could put it off for two or
- 5:05Speaker 6: three days, a short period of time, because they think
- 5:08Speaker 6: that they are getting very close to making a deal.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Well, now, so all you're hearing today is Taco Trump.
- 5:14Speaker 2: He chickened out. You know, they'll attack him. If he
- 5:16Speaker 2: doesn't attack, they'll attack him. If he does attack, you
- 5:20Speaker 2: can't win. So if you watch, a good parameter is
- 5:24Speaker 2: you WA's that crazy morning show every morning to see
- 5:27Speaker 2: where they are, see what they did. The whole purpose
- 5:30Speaker 2: of the show, the network. Everything is just to make
- 5:32Speaker 2: it look like Trump is the most evil, awful, corrupt, crooked,
- 5:35Speaker 2: disgusting human being on earth. So if there's something bad
- 5:38Speaker 2: that he's done, they'll hit that all morning. If there's
- 5:41Speaker 2: nothing bad that he's done, they'll make up something. So
- 5:44Speaker 2: this morning was pretty funny. They've unveiled a big corruption scandal.
- 5:49Speaker 2: They did a whole half hour on how Donald Trump
- 5:52Speaker 2: is trading stocks and profiting off them. You're laughing already,
- 5:58Speaker 2: because this is what they do in Congress is how
- 6:00Speaker 2: Nancy Pelosi went from nothing to eight hundred million. This
- 6:04Speaker 2: is how all of these senators and congressmen and women
- 6:07Speaker 2: get very wealthy insider trading because they know ahead of
- 6:11Speaker 2: time about government rulings, about FDA testing. They get a
- 6:16Speaker 2: preview of everything, you know, what new laws are comments,
- 6:18Speaker 2: so they can make a fortune. So they went after
- 6:20Speaker 2: Donald Trump for this. But if you start to look
- 6:23Speaker 2: at the details, apparently he bought some stock in Dell computers,
- 6:28Speaker 2: and then they showed clips of him. Then all of
- 6:31Speaker 2: a sudden, he's out there talking about how great Dell
- 6:33Speaker 2: is Dell computers. That's pretty suspicious, isn't it, And the stock,
- 6:38Speaker 2: sure enough, it did go up, but they didn't really
- 6:41Speaker 2: make clear that all of a sudden, Michael Dell got
- 6:44Speaker 2: involved with Trump, got involved with the Trump administration, donated
- 6:48Speaker 2: hundreds of millions, donate a fortune for student student loans
- 6:53Speaker 2: to take care of I mean, you really did a great,
- 6:56Speaker 2: great public service. Came to the White House a number
- 6:58Speaker 2: of times, and the president. You know, when you spend
- 7:02Speaker 2: time with these guys, you really learn about their company
- 7:04Speaker 2: and what they're doing. And so he did buy some stock,
- 7:07Speaker 2: but they failed to point out on MSNBC he bought
- 7:10Speaker 2: maybe the tiniest amount of stock he's ever bought in
- 7:13Speaker 2: his life. It was that tiny, tiny amount. It was
- 7:17Speaker 2: enough to say he had bought the stock. But it
- 7:19Speaker 2: was like fifty thousand in stock. Now, for a guy
- 7:21Speaker 2: like Trump, a normal buy is five million, or you know,
- 7:25Speaker 2: when you're worth eleven billion, a fifty thousand dollars stock
- 7:29Speaker 2: buy is like two cents. It's like absolutely nothing. So
- 7:33Speaker 2: even if he even in the stock tripled, it wouldn't
- 7:35Speaker 2: make enough money to make any difference in his in
- 7:40Speaker 2: his portfolio. It just wouldn't. You know, when you're Warren Buffett,
- 7:44Speaker 2: you'll if you're going to buy a stock, you'll buy
- 7:46Speaker 2: twenty billion worth of stock, and that's a normal buy.
- 7:49Speaker 2: You'll buy fifteen billion. So if Warren Buffett announced it
- 7:53Speaker 2: he bought a stock and then you find out it
- 7:55Speaker 2: was twenty five thousand, it doesn't mean much of anything.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Now they're also trying to say that this fun and
- 8:02Speaker 2: that the president wants to set up. He had a
- 8:04Speaker 2: lawsuit going against the IRS and he was absolutely gonna
- 8:08Speaker 2: win this lawsuit. You remember a way back when during
- 8:11Speaker 2: the campaign they leaked his tax returns, Well, he was
- 8:16Speaker 2: suing that for leaking his tax returns. That is absolutely
- 8:20Speaker 2: totally immoral, unethical, disgusting for the IRS to leak to
- 8:24Speaker 2: reporters your tax returns. You just can't do that. Well,
- 8:28Speaker 2: now they'll say, well it was a third party contractor.
- 8:32Speaker 2: It doesn't matter. It's somebody employed by the IRS. It's
- 8:34Speaker 2: an IRS person. They're responsible for the contractors. So he
- 8:38Speaker 2: had a massive lawsuit for hundreds of millions going here,
- 8:41Speaker 2: which he would have won easily. There was no way
- 8:43Speaker 2: on earth he was going to lose that lawsuit. So
- 8:46Speaker 2: he's decided to drop it in exchange for setting up
- 8:50Speaker 2: a government fund that will pay back whistleblowers and not
- 8:54Speaker 2: whistleblowers will pay back victims who are victims of government weaponization.
- 9:01Speaker 2: And there's a lot of them. Some of the January
- 9:03Speaker 2: sixth people, No, some of them beat up cops or
- 9:05Speaker 2: did something, but a lot of them did absolutely nothing,
- 9:07Speaker 2: weren't even in the building, and then were thrown in
- 9:10Speaker 2: jail for ten years in solitary. And many of them,
- 9:15Speaker 2: and it's not just January sixth, it's a million other things.
- 9:17Speaker 2: If you were targeted by the evil Merrick Garland, the
- 9:21Speaker 2: sleazy Attorney General, or the dirty Joe Biden Justice Department,
- 9:26Speaker 2: you were targeted, and then you were cleared, nothing happened,
- 9:30Speaker 2: you still ended up Bankrupty took Roger Stone, He's a
- 9:33Speaker 2: perfect example, did absolutely nothing wrong, was targeted by the
- 9:38Speaker 2: Biden administration, and these sturdy prosecutors. They did the most
- 9:43Speaker 2: massive raid on his front lawn. You know, he and
- 9:46Speaker 2: his wife. They are an older couple. They're totally harmless.
- 9:49Speaker 2: If you can arrest them. In every other case in
- 9:51Speaker 2: the history of the world, you tell their attorney to
- 9:53Speaker 2: surrendered them at nine o'clock at the courthouse or whatever.
- 9:57Speaker 2: But instead they launched a Normandy right up his front lawn.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Tanks literally tanks, helicopters, boats. It was like a two
- 10:07Speaker 2: point something million dollar raid. They invited CNN cameras to
- 10:11Speaker 2: and it was absolutely ridiculous. Now Stone did nothing wrong, he
- 10:14Speaker 2: was totally cleared, but in the process he was totally bankrupted.
- 10:19Speaker 2: They took his house, they took all his money, they
- 10:21Speaker 2: took his car, they took everything, went totally broke, lost everything.
- 10:25Speaker 2: So that's what this fund is for somebody like that
- 10:27Speaker 2: who was targeted. And just just now, you could also
- 10:31Speaker 2: put in Don Junior, Eric and the Trump organization, but
- 10:36Speaker 2: they have said they will they will not submit for
- 10:39Speaker 2: any compensation. They're not going to take part in this fund.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Believe it or not. Hunter Biden could be eligible because
- 10:45Speaker 2: they did go after him for weapons charges, drug charges,
- 10:49Speaker 2: so he could get some money. Now, it'll be a
- 10:50Speaker 2: panel that'll look at each case decide if you're owed
- 10:54Speaker 2: monetary relief and if not, in some cases you might
- 10:57Speaker 2: be owed an apology. The president is going to be
- 11:00Speaker 2: owed an apology in a number of cases. Even the
- 11:02Speaker 2: documents rate at mar A Lago turned out there weren't
- 11:05Speaker 2: any classified documents. Those boxes, the pictures they showed you
- 11:09Speaker 2: were just regular presidential papers. They did find thirty five
- 11:14Speaker 2: classified documents. Nothing significant. But thirty five classified documents is
- 11:19Speaker 2: one inch in a folder. So those hundreds and hundreds
- 11:23Speaker 2: and hundreds of boxes, those were not classified documents. Now
- 11:26Speaker 2: they're going to tell you the idea of this fund
- 11:28Speaker 2: is totally corrupt, totally illegal, unheard of. It's been done before,
- 11:33Speaker 2: It's been done many times. The Obama administration did it.
- 11:36Speaker 2: They set up almost a billion dollar compensation fund for
- 11:41Speaker 2: It's a long story, but there was a class action
- 11:42Speaker 2: lawsuit Native Americans farmers who were abused by the government.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Obama set up a fund to pay them back. But
- 11:49Speaker 2: the good thing about this fund, I think another reason
- 11:51Speaker 2: the president does this. You know how you want to
- 11:53Speaker 2: play with the dog, and you, for no reason at all,
- 11:55Speaker 2: you just take this bone and you throw it all
- 11:57Speaker 2: the way over there. The dog runs over and brings
- 11:59Speaker 2: it back. And then for no reason at all, just
- 12:02Speaker 2: throw it back over there, and the dog runs over
- 12:04Speaker 2: and brings it back. That the president does that with
- 12:05Speaker 2: the Democrats. Just throw something over there, let him go
- 12:09Speaker 2: chase that. So he's got them all the morning. Joe,
- 12:12Speaker 2: his glasses were all steaming up this morning. He was
- 12:15Speaker 2: so mad. They're all mad about this fund, and it
- 12:18Speaker 2: gives a Schumer with the new big glasses. Now Schumer's
- 12:22Speaker 2: got something to yell about.
- 12:23Speaker 7: Of all the corrupt things Donald Trump has done, this
- 12:27Speaker 7: maga slush fund at the Department of Justice is one
- 12:30Speaker 7: of the most depraved. Trump is shaking hands with himself
- 12:36Speaker 7: in order to fund his insurrection insurrectionist army to the
- 12:40Speaker 7: tune of two billion, of tune of billions of dollars.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Do you hear how outraged this guy is. He's so
- 12:47Speaker 2: outraged that he didn't even have anything to say. He
- 12:49Speaker 2: had like an intern type this up. He has these
- 12:52Speaker 2: little junior people write the speech, write these words, put
- 12:55Speaker 2: him on index cards, and he puts on his big
- 12:57Speaker 2: glasses and his cheap suit, and he stands at a
- 13:00Speaker 2: podium and he reads it to you. But he doesn't
- 13:03Speaker 2: even You know, if I had to do that, I
- 13:05Speaker 2: would go over it a whole bunch of times so
- 13:08Speaker 2: I didn't have to read it, so I could pretty
- 13:09Speaker 2: much say it. I might have to cheat and take
- 13:11Speaker 2: a look down to remember the next line. But he
- 13:14Speaker 2: doesn't bother even on the way over in the car,
- 13:16Speaker 2: doesn't even look at it at the time, just gets
- 13:18Speaker 2: up at the podium. This is the most descretive you
- 13:22Speaker 2: can tell he's reading it. There's no passion, no feel
- 13:25Speaker 2: of all.
- 13:26Speaker 7: The corrupt things Donald Trump is done. This Maga slush
- 13:31Speaker 7: fund at the Department of Justice is one of the
- 13:33Speaker 7: most depraved. Trump is shaking hands.
- 13:37Speaker 2: So he does these things. He reads the index cards,
- 13:39Speaker 2: then he's done, and then as he walks away, dumps
- 13:42Speaker 2: it in the waste basket and forget and that's it.
- 13:45Speaker 2: And then his staff tries to get him on any
- 13:47Speaker 2: TV show that he can get on. Everybody says no,
- 13:51Speaker 2: nobody wants to Adam Shift a little more colorful. Shumer
- 13:56Speaker 2: is like just a slow, unplayed in sort of a guy.
- 14:00Speaker 2: So whenever you see you know you might see him
- 14:03Speaker 2: on the Sunday shows this week the only time he
- 14:04Speaker 2: ever gets on. When you're doing these Sunday shows on
- 14:08Speaker 2: Memorial Day weekend, everybody goes away. Normally, they're all in Washington, DC.
- 14:13Speaker 2: You could get a lot of pretty much whoever you
- 14:15Speaker 2: want to be on your Sunday show because they're in Washington,
- 14:19Speaker 2: d C. It's only ten minutes away to go to
- 14:22Speaker 2: your studio. But Memorial Day weekend, everybody is gone. Everybody's
- 14:27Speaker 2: away it happens like the second part of this week,
- 14:32Speaker 2: it's going to have every TV show the host is off,
- 14:36Speaker 2: the guests, your regular guests are all going. So you
- 14:38Speaker 2: try to get anybody. So you might see Schumer on
- 14:40Speaker 2: some Sunday shows. Everybody's gone. That's the only way he
- 14:43Speaker 2: ever gets on. Hey, we got a lot to get
- 14:46Speaker 2: to coming up. We'll take some.
- 14:48Speaker 8: Oh.
- 14:48Speaker 2: I also want to mention a couple times throughout the show.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Tuesday Night, big rally in front of Gracie Mansion. It's
- 14:57Speaker 2: defend the Jews, stop the anti Semitism, Stop Mom Donnie's
- 15:02Speaker 2: anti semitism. You might want to get involved in this.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Let me see here. It's Tuesday night, seven o'clock. They're
- 15:10Speaker 2: gonna do it in front of Gracy Mansion.
- 15:11Speaker 9: You have.
- 15:12Speaker 2: All you got to do is show up seven o'clock
- 15:14Speaker 2: Tuesday night, Gracie Mansion. Uh, it's a protest Mom Donnie
- 15:18Speaker 2: over his anti semitism. I know a lot of people
- 15:20Speaker 2: that are going to this, not just crazy protest types,
- 15:23Speaker 2: but doctors, lawyers, A lot of people are are going
- 15:26Speaker 2: to say, feel very strongly about speaking up here if
- 15:30Speaker 2: you want to, the problem is they're not. I don't
- 15:31Speaker 2: think they have a website. It's if you go on Instagram,
- 15:34Speaker 2: go to end jew hatred. It's all one word, end
- 15:39Speaker 2: jew Hatred. They have an Instagram account, but apparently they've
- 15:42Speaker 2: already They think they got seven hundred people. It's Tuesday night,
- 15:45Speaker 2: seven o'clock, Gracy Mansion. You can just show up. Hey,
- 15:48Speaker 2: we'll take some calls. Next eight hundred three to two
- 15:51Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. Is the number eight hundred three
- 15:55Speaker 2: to two one zero seven ten.

- 16:35Speaker 12: You filled them Handy last Friday because he was in
- 16:38Speaker 12: China with the President. Yeah, and Linda, your co host,
- 16:43Speaker 12: We would recommend a dentist. Oh, I think it's a
- 16:47Speaker 12: seventy second street.
- 16:48Speaker 2: You got a bad dental problem.
- 16:50Speaker 12: Yeah, that's what it's killing me. I'm I'm eighty six
- 16:55Speaker 12: years old. My my, your fateeth I can't take the paint.

- 17:16Speaker 2: Oh you don't have a computer with this because I don't.
- 17:20Speaker 2: I would have to ask Linda. I would have to

- 17:23Speaker 11: All right?
- 17:24Speaker 2: Well you know what else?
- 17:25Speaker 11: Then I call him up? Is it the same number?
- 17:27Speaker 13: Who?
- 17:29Speaker 11: Uh? Kennedy?
- 17:31Speaker 2: Uh no, no?
- 17:33Speaker 14: Uh?
- 17:34Speaker 2: Figure out a way to send me an email or
- 17:36Speaker 2: send the station an email. I'll ask Linda who the dam?
- 17:39Speaker 15: Oh?
- 17:39Speaker 11: Right again? Getting back to the to the anti seventies
- 17:42Speaker 11: before Tuesday? Yeah, you said, is that the week from today?
- 17:48Speaker 15: Yeah?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Look how you figured that out? Wow, sharpest attack.
- 17:51Speaker 11: Well I would listen to you before, and I just
- 17:54Speaker 11: wanted to make sure I got the right time, something
- 17:56Speaker 11: like seven o'clock.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Yeah, seven o'clock Tuesday.
- 18:00Speaker 11: Okay, because they would right cross the street from grac
- 18:03Speaker 11: you do, oh, thank you? Anyway, I appreciate it.
- 18:05Speaker 13: I'll try to get good luck than you.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Thanks. There are people if you said just email me,
- 18:13Speaker 2: they have no idea how to email you. They wouldn't
- 18:15Speaker 2: know how to do it. Anyway, Let's go to Mike
- 18:18Speaker 2: and Florida. Mike, how you doing.
- 18:20Speaker 13: Good morning, Mark, that's Mike.
- 18:22Speaker 16: I noticed that schmuck Schumer didn't mention the congressional slush
- 18:27Speaker 16: fund for all these sexual abuse cases. They have that tiny, neat,
- 18:31Speaker 16: little fun they have to protect them.
- 18:33Speaker 2: That's a good point. They do have a massive fund,
- 18:37Speaker 2: that massive fund where they pay off the victims that
- 18:41Speaker 2: were sexually harassed by members of Congress.
- 18:44Speaker 16: Yeah, how what a coincidence.
- 18:47Speaker 13: I don't think Schumer.
- 18:48Speaker 16: Is I wonder if he'll be at that rally on Tuesday,
- 18:51Speaker 16: or for that matter, AOC or Corey Booker, who would
- 18:55Speaker 16: you know? They managed to get down to Sellmon, Alabama
- 18:57Speaker 16: over the weekend to screen like maniacs. But I wonder
- 19:00Speaker 16: if they'll be out in front of Glacy Mansion supporting
- 19:03Speaker 16: You know, a.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Guaranteed no, if there's ever an anti Semitism problem, Schumer
- 19:09Speaker 2: is runs and hides. You will never see him. Schumer
- 19:12Speaker 2: is one of those guys always there when you don't
- 19:14Speaker 2: need him, never there when you need him. That's Schumer,
- 19:17Speaker 2: h Anti.
- 19:18Speaker 16: It's incredible. He ought to be ashamed. I know that
- 19:20Speaker 16: these guys don't have any shame, but jeez, it's amazing.
- 19:23Speaker 2: All right, thanks for calling my I guess Schumer's just
- 19:25Speaker 2: a horrible, horrible, maybe the worst representative you could possibly have.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Remember the horrible anti semitism going on in Columbia, the
- 19:32Speaker 2: harassment that Jewish Schumer was nowhere to be found. He
- 19:35Speaker 2: ran and hid any anti semitism here. He'll run and hide.
- 19:40Speaker 2: He only shows up when there's something in it for him.
- 19:42Speaker 2: He's never there to help you. Let's go to Kenny
- 19:45Speaker 2: and White Plains. Kenny, how you doing.
- 19:49Speaker 10: I'm nobody's mentioned it. Tommy Robinson in London, the great
- 19:52Speaker 10: speech he gave Saturday London. People in England are afraid,
- 19:57Speaker 10: they're scared of being invaded again by the Third World,
- 19:59Speaker 10: and Tommy Robinson, he's speaking up. You guys, don't mention.
- 20:02Speaker 2: It, all right? Thanks for calling. What happened to our
- 20:05Speaker 2: call it and I'm gonna get the most the brightest
- 20:07Speaker 2: call is. It's a whole different crop today. Let's go
- 20:10Speaker 2: to rich In Myrtle Beach. Here's a normal person, you know.
- 20:15Speaker 15: He's he is right though, because we were in London
- 20:18Speaker 15: last last year in August for the Magical Mystery to
- 20:21Speaker 15: a Beatles tour and the people are up in arms
- 20:24Speaker 15: over there. Nigel Faraj is getting beaten to death on
- 20:27Speaker 15: the press, just like they beat Trump up.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Yet but he's way ahead in the polls, way ahead.
- 20:31Speaker 15: That's right, that's right. You know.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Before you get to that, what is on this magical
- 20:37Speaker 2: Mystery tour?
- 20:39Speaker 11: Oh?
- 20:39Speaker 15: So this was run by a friend of yours, Charles Rosenary.
- 20:42Speaker 15: He says he's known you for a long time, Charles, Yeah,
- 20:46Speaker 15: and he's been running what's that?
- 20:48Speaker 2: Never heard of him? Who is he?
- 20:50Speaker 16: Oh?
- 20:50Speaker 15: Well, he said he knows you, but he used to
- 20:53Speaker 15: he used the book guests You many many years ago.
- 20:55Speaker 15: But he's been running the Charles be Tour.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Charles, I never heard of it, and I know if
- 21:01Speaker 2: he he wasn't a guest booker.
- 21:03Speaker 15: Yeah. So for forty two years he puts together these
- 21:05Speaker 15: tours that includes airfare from Kennedy and and going to
- 21:09Speaker 15: London and Liverpool for International Beatlefest. And we got you
- 21:13Speaker 15: got to go to John Lennon's home and Paul's home,
- 21:15Speaker 15: and you go to shows every single night. It really
- 21:17Speaker 15: is a great tour. We had a great time. But
- 21:19Speaker 15: last year we went the streets up on arms. I
- 21:20Speaker 15: called him because they saw Bill o' wiley say the
- 21:23Speaker 15: same thing yes last night, that I've spoken to you
- 21:26Speaker 15: about on the phone in the past, about how Trump
- 21:29Speaker 15: should investigate your companies because we're produced, like you said,
- 21:32Speaker 15: fourteen bolls of oil, million dolls a day, more than
- 21:36Speaker 15: half of it, doll Wiley is being shipped overseas and
- 21:38Speaker 15: not even staying in this country.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Oh right, But here's the deal. Here's the deal. That's
- 21:43Speaker 2: some people say there's no reason to raise it.
- 21:45Speaker 10: It goes on today.
- 21:45Speaker 15: You can ask them about it.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Yeah, but here's the problem. There's no reason to raise
- 21:48Speaker 2: the oil prices. We could have kept them right where
- 21:50Speaker 2: they are, because that's right. But they do raise it
- 21:54Speaker 2: to match the price around the world. They just do
- 21:56Speaker 2: it to match it. Now, you could you could ban
- 21:58Speaker 2: him from doing that, you could not allow him doing that.
- 22:01Speaker 2: But they'll just they'll just drill less, they'll produce less oil. Yeah,
- 22:05Speaker 2: that'll raise the price.
- 22:06Speaker 15: While he was saying they should investigate him, like you know,
- 22:08Speaker 15: they're investigating Kimmel and ABC and do with that kind
- 22:11Speaker 15: of thing. Just go in and say, what the heck's going?
- 22:13Speaker 2: You know?
- 22:13Speaker 15: I saw this morning and Fox Fox do they wait
- 22:16Speaker 15: behind that Massy guy in Kentucky by having you know,
- 22:18Speaker 15: the Trumpeters on Carl Robe, Dana Prino, Bill Hammer, then
- 22:22Speaker 15: up big Trump fans and they bought Massy on Fox
- 22:25Speaker 15: News this morning. So Fox is even throwing the hat
- 22:27Speaker 15: in the ring to get this guy Massy re elected
- 22:29Speaker 15: in the primary. Yeah.
- 22:30Speaker 2: I don't think he'll make it though. They you know,
- 22:32Speaker 2: they tried that with the Cassidy and it didn't work.
- 22:34Speaker 2: I don't think it'll work this time. All right, Mike, Hey,
- 22:37Speaker 2: what's the temperature in Florida? Oh you're in Myrtle Beach.
- 22:40Speaker 2: You're in Myrtle Beach. What's the temperature there?
- 22:44Speaker 15: It's only going to be eighty three today, So it's
- 22:45Speaker 15: actually hotter up there than down here.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, well thanks for calling. Yeah, it's gonna
- 22:49Speaker 2: be brutal today. If you thought it was hot yesterday,
- 22:52Speaker 2: hotter today, brutal heat today, So just be careful of that.
- 22:57Speaker 15: Uh.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Hey, when we come back, we'll get to Roger Friedman,
- 23:00Speaker 2: the Great entertainment reporter wants to talk to him about
- 23:04Speaker 2: you see that Bruce Springsteen snubbing Chris Christy, Well, I
- 23:08Speaker 2: think they Well, we'll get the whole story coming up
- 23:10Speaker 2: on seven to ten.
- 23:11Speaker 1: W o R news breaks out in every show Mark
- 23:15Speaker 1: Simone on seven ten wor.
- 23:20Speaker 13: Well.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Roger Friedman the great entertainment reporter. And he's got an
- 23:24Speaker 2: excellent website, showbiz for one one dot com. You should
- 23:27Speaker 2: check it every day. There's always new stuff up there.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Showbiz for one one dot com. Roger Friedman. How you doing,
- 23:35Speaker 2: I'm great?
- 23:35Speaker 15: How are you?
- 23:36Speaker 2: I'm good? So Memorial Day weekend, people want to go
- 23:39Speaker 2: to movies. What's a good movie to see?
- 23:42Speaker 13: Well, the big movie this weekend is The Mandalorian and
- 23:45Speaker 13: gragu Do you know who they are?
- 23:47Speaker 2: I have no idea what a title they're not.
- 23:50Speaker 13: They're not Whaling Flowers and Madam Oh they are. The
- 23:55Speaker 13: Mandalorian is a spinoff from Star Wars Oh, and it's
- 24:00Speaker 13: been a hit TV show on Disney Plus for the
- 24:02Speaker 13: last three years, and now instead of doing a fourth season,
- 24:06Speaker 13: they decided to move into movies because it was so
- 24:08Speaker 13: popular and it's terrific. It's really fun. Pedro Pascal is
- 24:14Speaker 13: the star of it, and the guest star in the
- 24:17Speaker 13: movie is Martin Scorsese. Oh, and he plays like a
- 24:23Speaker 13: like a cgi character. He's hysterically funny and it's it's
- 24:29Speaker 13: really kind of a great popcorn movie, perfect memorial their weekend.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Hey, speaking of movies, that Michael Jackson movie Boy that
- 24:37Speaker 2: is still a number one on its way to make
- 24:40Speaker 2: it a billion dollars.
- 24:41Speaker 13: Yeah, still number one and opening in Japan today where
- 24:45Speaker 13: it still hasn't played there a couple of countries, big
- 24:48Speaker 13: countries where it hasn't played. Japan's going to be huge. Yeah,
- 24:51Speaker 13: the Michael Jackson movie is it's going to break a
- 24:54Speaker 13: billion dollars worldwide. It's a real phenomenon. And his records
- 24:59Speaker 13: are selling like crazy. And it's too bad he's not
- 25:03Speaker 13: here to see it.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Hey, what about the Devilwars product too? That is that
- 25:07Speaker 2: doing Okay?
- 25:08Speaker 13: It loves the Devilware's productwo is still doing very well.
- 25:11Speaker 13: It's going to hit around two hundred million dollars soon,
- 25:14Speaker 13: and that's enough. Even if it just does a little
- 25:17Speaker 13: bit more than that, that's probably enough to make it
- 25:19Speaker 13: for a third movie. So I'm sure that we'll see
- 25:21Speaker 13: these people again.
- 25:22Speaker 2: I don't seen that, but is it good? The second one.
- 25:26Speaker 13: It's a lot like the first one. There's not much difference,
- 25:30Speaker 13: but people really wanted to see these characters again and
- 25:34Speaker 13: it's just clicked with the audience.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but there's no there's.
- 25:37Speaker 13: No only the only thing different in it then from
- 25:40Speaker 13: the first movie. It was twenty years ago when Vogue
- 25:43Speaker 13: magazine was you know, a gigantic hit and they had
- 25:46Speaker 13: you know, five hundred page issues and all that. And
- 25:48Speaker 13: now twenty years later, with the Internet and everything that's happened,
- 25:53Speaker 13: the magazine magazines are dying, and so the movie sort
- 25:57Speaker 13: of addresses that and it starts to move in a
- 26:00Speaker 13: new direction, maybe towards the website and social media. And
- 26:04Speaker 13: they started to mention all that in the movie, and
- 26:08Speaker 13: you can see that the magazine in the era is
- 26:09Speaker 13: coming to an end. It's very sad. Vanity Fair for example,
- 26:13Speaker 13: which is Vogue sister publication of Counting Nest plus fifty
- 26:17Speaker 13: five percent of its website traffic last month. Really yeah, unbelievable.
- 26:25Speaker 13: It's been going down, but now it really sort of
- 26:27Speaker 13: kicked in. And this is a combination of you know,
- 26:31Speaker 13: people are able to get their news in so many
- 26:33Speaker 13: different places now, and you know they're obsessed with Instagram
- 26:38Speaker 13: and TikTok and all that, so it's very hard to
- 26:41Speaker 13: get someone to read an article online, especially a long one.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Well, yeah, no, everything's shorter attention span. But hey, you
- 26:49Speaker 2: speak of the Devilwares product. I think I told you.
- 26:51Speaker 2: I never saw the original until like a month ago.
- 26:54Speaker 2: I saw it a month ago. I was shocked, shocked.
- 26:58Speaker 2: It was supposed to be this horrible boss. I'm watching
- 27:00Speaker 2: the woman in the movie. I've worked for people one
- 27:03Speaker 2: hundred times worse than that. You have too, if you're
- 27:06Speaker 2: in the media, everybody acts like that. That well, she was.
- 27:10Speaker 13: Pretty Meryl's sheep was very good. She was pretty mean
- 27:13Speaker 13: in the first movie. In the second movie, she's more
- 27:15Speaker 13: of a pussy cat. In the second movie, they've softened
- 27:19Speaker 13: her up, and that's partially because Anna Winter and Vogue
- 27:22Speaker 13: magazine got involved in the movie. So, but they've made
- 27:27Speaker 13: it a lot softer than it was.
- 27:28Speaker 2: I haven't been in the media my whole life. You two,
- 27:30Speaker 2: you've worked with people ten times worse than that woman, haven't.
- 27:33Speaker 13: I work with people now who are worse than that.
- 27:36Speaker 13: Oh my god, that's nothing. I'd rather work for the Mandalorian.
- 27:41Speaker 2: So Hey, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Christie is the biggest fan
- 27:46Speaker 2: in the world. And there he was standing there at
- 27:48Speaker 2: the concert stage and Springsteen walks off, Christy puts his
- 27:51Speaker 2: hand out.
- 27:52Speaker 13: I'm very happy for Chris Christy.
- 27:54Speaker 9: You know.
- 27:55Speaker 13: In twenty fifteen, I went to Radio City to see
- 27:57Speaker 13: the first Adel concert and he was sitting right in
- 28:00Speaker 13: front of me. He was such a fan, and that
- 28:02Speaker 13: was after Bridgegate, and even though my instinct was to
- 28:06Speaker 13: not like him, he was very charming and he was
- 28:08Speaker 13: so excited about being He loves music. So then he
- 28:11Speaker 13: went to Springsteen concert the other day and he was
- 28:14Speaker 13: standing right there waiting to shake his hand and Bruce.
- 28:17Speaker 13: It looked like from a camera angle that Bruce sort
- 28:20Speaker 13: of snubbed him and ran past him and just didn't
- 28:23Speaker 13: acknowledge him. But I don't think that's what happened. I
- 28:25Speaker 13: think Bruce just didn't see him.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Oh it's hard not to see. Chris Christie's like the
- 28:30Speaker 2: Goodyear Blimp. I can't miss him.
- 28:33Speaker 16: He is.
- 28:34Speaker 13: But you know what, I was in that crowd the
- 28:36Speaker 13: other night, not Chris Christie's crowd the night before. A
- 28:38Speaker 13: couple of nights before I can tell you it's pandemonium
- 28:41Speaker 13: in the Madison Square Garden when he's playing, so I
- 28:44Speaker 13: don't doubt that it's a blur to him as he's
- 28:47Speaker 13: going by. Anyway, they invited Chris back the next night,
- 28:53Speaker 13: and he came and he nearly got backstage, but he
- 28:55Speaker 13: got his picture taken, and I have the picture up
- 28:57Speaker 13: on showing his four ward one. He's beaming like a
- 29:00Speaker 13: sixteen year old. So I'm happy for him in that sense,
- 29:04Speaker 13: all right, not for turning off the George Washington Bridge,
- 29:07Speaker 13: but for getting to see his hero.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Yeah. So hey, Mark Furman, he was the detective the OJ.
- 29:16Speaker 2: He just died. He was young, fighting cancer. You know
- 29:21Speaker 2: a lot of people. He's gone straight to Hell, a
- 29:24Speaker 2: lot of people.
- 29:25Speaker 13: He's meeting OJ for lunch today in Hell. But I
- 29:29Speaker 13: wrote about Mark Furman extensively in New York Magazine thirty
- 29:32Speaker 13: years ago during the O. J. Simpson trial. He was
- 29:35Speaker 13: a very racist, awful cup And you know what I
- 29:38Speaker 13: used to say, he he was framing a guilty person,
- 29:44Speaker 13: like we knew OJ. But he he was so dead
- 29:48Speaker 13: set I'm making sure OJ was guilty, that he framed him,
- 29:52Speaker 13: and everything that went on in that trial concerning Mark
- 29:55Speaker 13: Furman was a joke, and the worst part of it
- 29:57Speaker 13: was that he had a terrible history in Los Angeles
- 29:59Speaker 13: with the police. He was extremely racist and very You know,
- 30:04Speaker 13: this is before the internet. There was really no internet.
- 30:07Speaker 13: In fact, at the time I was going out, if
- 30:09Speaker 13: anyone remembers this, they used to have Lexus and Nexus
- 30:11Speaker 13: and it costs like fifty dollars a minute. And I
- 30:14Speaker 13: was going through from New York Magazine. I was going
- 30:18Speaker 13: back through the LA Times reports about Mark Fermer, going,
- 30:21Speaker 13: I don't understand how this guy could still be a cop.
- 30:24Speaker 13: He was just the worst. And you know, the problem
- 30:27Speaker 13: with LA has always been, as opposed to our great city,
- 30:30Speaker 13: we have a tabloid newspaper community, so if something happens,
- 30:34Speaker 13: it's all over the place within twenty four minutes. And
- 30:37Speaker 13: it even was before the internet. You know, you remember
- 30:39Speaker 13: the days where the Post and the Daily News were
- 30:41Speaker 13: competing in New York news Day, but LA never had
- 30:45Speaker 13: a press like that, and the La Times was always
- 30:48Speaker 13: the lad was always able to tamp down any bad
- 30:51Speaker 13: news in the La Times. So nobody really knew who
- 30:54Speaker 13: this guy was when he was lurking around O Jay's house,
- 30:58Speaker 13: moving gloves around and socks and all kinds of crazy stuff.
- 31:01Speaker 13: But he was a very, very bad guy.
- 31:04Speaker 2: There's a great moment they put him on the stand.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Have you ever used the N word?
- 31:07Speaker 6: No?
- 31:07Speaker 2: No, no, sure, no never. Then they bring in a
- 31:10Speaker 2: tape of him using the N word four thou times.
- 31:13Speaker 2: He was actually convicted of perjury, making him the only
- 31:17Speaker 2: person convicted in the whole OJ trial.
- 31:20Speaker 13: Oh yeah, No, he did terrible things. I mean he
- 31:23Speaker 13: once had a female partner on patrol and he turned
- 31:28Speaker 13: gasoline on her at the gas station. She actually sued
- 31:31Speaker 13: the department in one I mean, it was a terrible situation.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:36Speaker 13: So no one's I don't think anyone's mourning him today.
- 31:39Speaker 2: No, Hey, people don't realize. If you're a younger person,
- 31:42Speaker 2: you don't realize what that OJ trial was for. Like,
- 31:44Speaker 2: was it nineteen ninety five, ninety six? It just dominated
- 31:48Speaker 2: the whole country. Stopped to watch that for a year.
- 31:51Speaker 13: Oh my god, you know it was eighteen months. It
- 31:53Speaker 13: started in June of nineteen ninety four and it ended
- 31:56Speaker 13: October second, nineteen ninety five. I would say the entire time,
- 32:01Speaker 13: eighteen months. There was nothing else that I did, just
- 32:04Speaker 13: about and I was in the courtroom. I used to
- 32:07Speaker 13: go down with Dominic Dunn from the Chateau Armont. We
- 32:10Speaker 13: would sit there through hours of this stuff. It was crazy.
- 32:15Speaker 13: Oja was a mess. They had to drug him when
- 32:18Speaker 13: they did the preliminary hearings in December of nineteen ninety four.
- 32:24Speaker 13: He was making all these like clicking noises and sort
- 32:27Speaker 13: of ticks and moving around. Finally they just drugged him
- 32:29Speaker 13: for the rest.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Of the trial.
- 32:31Speaker 13: It was it was really crazy.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Everybody involved became world famous. It was Marsha Clark, the prosecutor.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Who was the guy, Chris Darden. Chris Darden the judge,
- 32:41Speaker 2: you know, the.
- 32:43Speaker 13: Judge Edo. He was a joke.
- 32:45Speaker 16: He was.
- 32:46Speaker 13: One day, I was sitting in the courtroom and they
- 32:48Speaker 13: were waiting and waiting and waiting for the Judge Edo
- 32:50Speaker 13: to come out. And when he finally comes out of
- 32:53Speaker 13: his chambers into the courtroom, he's got Larry King with him.
- 32:57Speaker 13: They've been backstage. He's like backstage with Larry King. And
- 33:01Speaker 13: then Larry King comes out to start shaking OJ's hand
- 33:04Speaker 13: at the witness table. I mean, it was like a circus.
- 33:07Speaker 13: It was crazy.
- 33:08Speaker 2: The judge got a little too star struck in Yeah, hey,
- 33:11Speaker 2: had they had a really sharp, good judge, you think
- 33:13Speaker 2: it would have gone differently.
- 33:16Speaker 13: No, because they were they were just in the wrong place.
- 33:19Speaker 13: It was. They tried the case in the wrong district.
- 33:23Speaker 13: The people that were the jurors were very, very mad
- 33:27Speaker 13: about you know, racial tensions in Los Angeles at the time,
- 33:31Speaker 13: Rodney King and all of that, and they were determined
- 33:34Speaker 13: to get it OJ. It didn't matter if O. J
- 33:36Speaker 13: Had stood up and said I killed her, they were
- 33:39Speaker 13: gonna get They were going to let him off.
- 33:40Speaker 2: But they also mishandled it also.
- 33:42Speaker 13: Johnny Cochran had to tell you the truth. Johnny Cochrane
- 33:45Speaker 13: and Robert Shapiro put on a good show. You know,
- 33:49Speaker 13: they were really good. John I knew Johnny. I knew
- 33:51Speaker 13: them both. And Johnny Cochran's gone now. But Johnny Cochran,
- 33:54Speaker 13: he was very clever. And when they did that, you know,
- 33:57Speaker 13: the if it doesn't fit, you must have quit. Yeah,
- 34:00Speaker 13: you know, And the whole thing was rigged from the
- 34:03Speaker 13: start because the glove was not gonna fit. There was
- 34:05Speaker 13: no way it was gonna fit. But they got it.
- 34:08Speaker 13: And once they got that, they had it.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Well, well, it was quite a time. It was an
- 34:13Speaker 2: amazing period. But Roger Friedman great stuff. Make sure you
- 34:16Speaker 2: read his website, Showbiz for one one. There's a lot
- 34:19Speaker 2: more stories there. Showbiz for one one dot com, new
- 34:23Speaker 2: stuff every day. Roger Friedman, thanks for being with us.
- 34:27Speaker 13: Thank you.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Take care. Hey, coming up Bucking Clay noon today with
- 34:33Speaker 2: an excellent show. Then you got the most listened to
- 34:35Speaker 2: radio show in America, Sean Hannity coming up at three o'clock.
- 34:40Speaker 2: You got Jesse Kelly at six, Jimmy Fayala, what a
- 34:44Speaker 2: great show. It's so funny, and it's on every night.
- 34:47Speaker 2: It's nine to midnight every night here on seven to
- 34:50Speaker 2: ten w R.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Back to Marshall on wor.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Well, it's going to be a very hot day. This
- 35:03Speaker 2: would be the hottest day of the year so far.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Ninety five today real field could be like one hundred,
- 35:08Speaker 2: so be careful out there. Then it'll be in the
- 35:11Speaker 2: around ninety tomorrow. Then it goes to the sixties for
- 35:14Speaker 2: the whole rest of the week and Memorial Day weekend.
- 35:17Speaker 2: You got a three day weekend coming up. You know,
- 35:21Speaker 2: you hear about layoffs all over the place, but you
- 35:23Speaker 2: don't usually hear about them. You know, the tech industry
- 35:25Speaker 2: that well there's a lot of layoffs coming to the
- 35:29Speaker 2: tech industry because they make more use of AI than
- 35:32Speaker 2: just about anybody. If you work at Facebook now called Meta,
- 35:36Speaker 2: but if you work at Facebook Meta, all employees have
- 35:40Speaker 2: been told to work from home tomorrow. Nobody's to come
- 35:44Speaker 2: into the office tomorrow. That's a lot of employees. They're
- 35:46Speaker 2: all supposed to work from home because apparently tomorrow they're
- 35:51Speaker 2: going to lay off ten percent of their workforce, huge cutbacks.
- 35:56Speaker 2: It's going to be a bloodbat. They'll literally layoff ten
- 35:59Speaker 2: per center their workforce, and they don't want anybody to
- 36:03Speaker 2: come in. Apparently they'll do it by email. At four
- 36:06Speaker 2: am local time, you'll get an email telling you if
- 36:10Speaker 2: you're one of the ten thousand. That's pretty cold blooded,
- 36:12Speaker 2: isn't it. Don't come in, You'll just get an email.
- 36:16Speaker 2: The human resources chief, Jenne old Gale said in the document,
- 36:21Speaker 2: big organizational changes will be announced alongside the layoffs. About
- 36:25Speaker 2: seven thousand employees are also expected to shift into new
- 36:30Speaker 2: roles on Facebook and Instagram, So that's a ten thousand
- 36:34Speaker 2: will be laid off, seven thousand will be moved to
- 36:36Speaker 2: other jobs. A lot of this is AI because one
- 36:39Speaker 2: thing about Zuckerberg and Meta and Facebook. They have been
- 36:42Speaker 2: trying to get ahead of everybody in AI. But the
- 36:44Speaker 2: more you can use that AI, the less people you need.
- 36:47Speaker 2: A lot of jobs will be eliminated. And it's not
- 36:50Speaker 2: the littlest jobs in law firms and accounting. A lot
- 36:54Speaker 2: of people are going to lose a lot of jobs
- 36:56Speaker 2: to AI. It happens. It was the Industrial Revolution twenty
- 37:01Speaker 2: five years ago, the digital revolution. A lot of people
- 37:03Speaker 2: lose their gy and it takes de'le eventually find other
- 37:06Speaker 2: things or transition, but the transition can take five to
- 37:09Speaker 2: ten years after something like that. Well, we got a
- 37:11Speaker 2: lot to get to in the next hour, coming up
- 37:14Speaker 2: on seven to ten.
- 37:15Speaker 17: WR always this step ahead of the news.
- 37:19Speaker 1: Here's more Marks amone on seven tenor.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Hey, it's almost Memorial Day weekend. It's coming up this weekend.
- 37:29Speaker 2: It's the beginning of summer for most people. It's going
- 37:32Speaker 2: to be this heat will continue until about eight o'clock
- 37:37Speaker 2: tomorrow night, but then it goes into the sixties for
- 37:40Speaker 2: the whole weekend. Looks like rain Saturday and Sunday, but
- 37:42Speaker 2: still be a great weekend. Good things happening this week.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Stephen Colbert will go off the air Thursday night. That'll
- 37:49Speaker 2: be it for him, the show canceled, and he will
- 37:56Speaker 2: in interviews or on the show itself make it sound
- 37:59Speaker 2: like he was pushed off the air. It was pressure
- 38:02Speaker 2: from the Trump administration. CBS fired him, pressure from the Trumpet. Well,
- 38:08Speaker 2: first of all, it's a little kind of ridiculous to claim.
- 38:10Speaker 2: When you're a disaster ratings wise, and you're losing forty
- 38:13Speaker 2: to fifty million a year, it doesn't take much pressure
- 38:18Speaker 2: to get a show canceled that's losing up to fifty
- 38:21Speaker 2: million a year. It's been a total failure revenue wise.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Ratings wise, you could say, oh, it beats Kimmel. That's
- 38:28Speaker 2: only because Kimmel has the most pathetic ratings in the world.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Jimmy Fallon took the Tonight show down to like one
- 38:34Speaker 2: million viewers. Greg Goettfeld three million viewers easily. Jimmy Fayala
- 38:39Speaker 2: Saturday Night, his late night show, I'm sure beats that.
- 38:43Speaker 2: He's going to do some weird shows to end his run.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Last night was kind of a strange show. It looked
- 38:49Speaker 2: like the normal show, you know, the announcer starts and
- 38:53Speaker 2: then for guests, they didn't really have any games like
- 38:57Speaker 2: one guest who they were not world guests, and then
- 39:01Speaker 2: they introduce him and he comes out like usual, and
- 39:05Speaker 2: they show the audience. It's like, you know, three hundred
- 39:07Speaker 2: people in the audience and they're all standing, and he
- 39:10Speaker 2: had a little problem. They wouldn't stop applauding or give
- 39:13Speaker 2: him a standing. Ovation keeps you know, please sit down
- 39:15Speaker 2: and sit down, please sit down. It took a while.
- 39:18Speaker 2: They finally sit down these three hundred something people, and
- 39:22Speaker 2: then he announces it's not the regular audience. These are
- 39:24Speaker 2: all staff members on the show. These people all work
- 39:27Speaker 2: on the show. Now you know why he's getting fired.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Now you know how he lost fifty millionaire. There's three
- 39:34Speaker 2: hundred people that work on this show. It was absolutely ridiculous.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Let's say they all brought a spouse, so that's one
- 39:40Speaker 2: hundred and fifty people. It was more than three hundred,
- 39:43Speaker 2: so it's like one hundred and seventy five people working
- 39:45Speaker 2: on this show. That's how you lose fifty millionaire. If
- 39:47Speaker 2: you if you're the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson way
- 39:51Speaker 2: back when and you got thirty million viewers, you could
- 39:53Speaker 2: afford to have one hundred and fifty people. If you're
- 39:55Speaker 2: this guy with one million viewers. You can't afford that
- 39:58Speaker 2: you're going to lose a four Gttfeld has triple the ratings.
- 40:04Speaker 2: And the whole staff is twelve people. That's it. There's
- 40:08Speaker 2: no band, it's twelve people. It's four cheers. That's the
- 40:11Speaker 2: show called Bear, massive theater, big orchestra, three hundred and
- 40:17Speaker 2: fifty people in the audience every night, which means you
- 40:19Speaker 2: need all the ushers and all that stuff. So all
- 40:22Speaker 2: these people work there. And then he announced he's not
- 40:24Speaker 2: going to The reason they weren't a lot of guests.
- 40:26Speaker 2: They weren't going to do a regular show. They were
- 40:28Speaker 2: going to do not a best of. They were going
- 40:29Speaker 2: to do a worst of. They do these pre tape
- 40:32Speaker 2: pieces and things like that, and they decided they would
- 40:36Speaker 2: show you all the ones that never got on the air. Now,
- 40:39Speaker 2: the reason they never got on the air is they
- 40:40Speaker 2: weren't that funny. They stunk, and so it was a
- 40:43Speaker 2: whole hour and an hour show of bad things that
- 40:48Speaker 2: never got on the air. It's like when they re
- 40:50Speaker 2: released the album with the missing cuts. They weren't missing,
- 40:53Speaker 2: they just weren't that good. That's what the unreleased cut.
- 40:57Speaker 2: There was a reason they were unreleased. It was not good.
- 41:01Speaker 2: So the final show is Thursday night. They're gonna do
- 41:05Speaker 2: one final show. There'll be a big rap pardon not
- 41:09Speaker 2: like music rap, I mean like wrap it up kind
- 41:12Speaker 2: of party after the show. They've told all the people
- 41:18Speaker 2: have invited, They've sent out invitations to it, and they're
- 41:22Speaker 2: gonna keep announcing all kinds of big surprise guests will
- 41:25Speaker 2: be on the show Thursday night, major major Nate surprise guests.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Our sources have come up with some of them. Paul
- 41:34Speaker 2: McCartney will be one of them. Billy Joel will be
- 41:38Speaker 2: one of them. Now, Billy Joel's not been well lately,
- 41:42Speaker 2: he said a lot of problems. Will be interesting to
- 41:43Speaker 2: see him in an interview. Apparently it is well enough
- 41:46Speaker 2: to do this. Paul McCartney, A both both these guys
- 41:49Speaker 2: have been on the Clebert plenty of times. They've been
- 41:51Speaker 2: on Everything plenty of times. They've been on every they
- 41:56Speaker 2: were on the Kimmel a million do, they were on
- 41:59Speaker 2: Fallon a million times. So, Paul McCartney, the significance there is,
- 42:05Speaker 2: of course, the Beatles made their American debut right in
- 42:08Speaker 2: that building, right in the Ed Sullivan Theater. But if
- 42:11Speaker 2: you go on YouTube you can see it's Letterman. Letterman
- 42:15Speaker 2: had Paul McCartney back and they talked really in depth
- 42:19Speaker 2: about the Ed Sullivan Theater, and then McCartney and Letterman
- 42:21Speaker 2: went on a tour behind the scenes, backstage, the dressing
- 42:25Speaker 2: rooms downstairs, to take a look at all the things
- 42:27Speaker 2: in the Ed Sullivan Theater that McCartney remembered the first
- 42:30Speaker 2: time around. I used to do shows in the Ed
- 42:32Speaker 2: Suivent Theater before it became the Letterman Theater. It was
- 42:36Speaker 2: just an independent TV studio. You could rent it for
- 42:38Speaker 2: all kinds of things, so there are number of TV
- 42:39Speaker 2: shows done there and going around. This was before Letterman
- 42:44Speaker 2: totally gutted it, renovated it at CBS spent millions before that,
- 42:49Speaker 2: it was like the original Ed Sullivant Theater and a
- 42:52Speaker 2: lot of the guys working there had been there for
- 42:54Speaker 2: a million years and would tell you about the Ed
- 42:56Speaker 2: Sullivan days, you know, so glamorous that show. They would
- 42:59Speaker 2: tell you how they were rats backstage and now pipes
- 43:02Speaker 2: were like crumbling everywhere. It was apparently a mess back then.
- 43:06Speaker 2: But it's a significant to Paul McCartney and for Billy Joel.
- 43:11Speaker 2: He's like the huge Beatles fan, so it'll be significant
- 43:14Speaker 2: to him. So that'll be the goodbye Thursday Night and
- 43:17Speaker 2: then hopefully you'll never have to see this guy again.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Now here's the interesting part. Not only is the show
- 43:23Speaker 2: a total failure Colbert, not only does it lose fifty
- 43:27Speaker 2: million a year. The cancelation was announced like eight months ago.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Still nobody has offered him another show. Nobody, no streaming company,
- 43:39Speaker 2: no network, nobody has offered him another show. It's been
- 43:43Speaker 2: eight months now, silence. His only job he is going
- 43:49Speaker 2: to write is it The Hobbit the movie. He's writing
- 43:53Speaker 2: the screenplay for that, but apparently he had a good
- 43:56Speaker 2: idea for it, and it was a project he pitched
- 43:58Speaker 2: like a year ago that was already in the works.
- 44:01Speaker 2: But outside it from that, nobody has offered him a job.
- 44:04Speaker 2: What will he do? Well, he'll work on this screenplay
- 44:07Speaker 2: when he gets done, and then when it's finished and
- 44:11Speaker 2: the movie's coming out, although that could take a while.
- 44:13Speaker 2: But once that's he'll run around doing a million interviews MSNBC, CNN,
- 44:18Speaker 2: all that sort of stuff. Outside of that, I don't
- 44:21Speaker 2: know what else he'll do. He'll probably he could do
- 44:24Speaker 2: his own Instagram, YouTube channel, release stuff, all the time.
- 44:28Speaker 2: But he'll be on his own pretty much. You know,
- 44:31Speaker 2: this show, he's got like fourteen writers writing all that stuff.
- 44:34Speaker 2: F him on his own. I don't think he's I
- 44:37Speaker 2: don't think there's anything there. You know, it's not like
- 44:40Speaker 2: the other hosts, where you know, Carson writers would write
- 44:43Speaker 2: a mad libs and write the jokes, but he could
- 44:46Speaker 2: add lib like crazy. I've never seen an actual Stephen
- 44:49Speaker 2: Colbert ad lib that was actually funny. So I don't
- 44:52Speaker 2: know what he's going to do after that. Going to
- 44:54Speaker 2: be tough for him. Hey, the border, the US border
- 44:58Speaker 2: border crossings are so low now they keep track of
- 45:02Speaker 2: all this. Fewer illegals are crossing the border in one
- 45:07Speaker 2: month now than in one hour during the Biden administration.
- 45:13Speaker 2: It's hard to believe, but it's been twelve straight months
- 45:18Speaker 2: and the catch and release, you know they can coming
- 45:20Speaker 2: across the border to catch and release them. It's been
- 45:22Speaker 2: zero for twelve months, no catching release for twelve months.
- 45:26Speaker 2: That's pretty amazing. The lowest level of crossing since the nineties.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Catching release is over. You know, back in the Biden days,
- 45:36Speaker 2: the catch and release was sometimes three hundred people an hour,
- 45:40Speaker 2: three hundred an hour, that's unbelievable. Three hundred every hour.
- 45:45Speaker 2: It ended up being like a million and a half
- 45:48Speaker 2: a year. It's down to zero. Pretty amazing for the
- 45:51Speaker 2: Trump administration. Hey, the big announcement that happened over the weekend,
- 45:55Speaker 2: and we talked about it yesterday. The climate change hoax
- 45:59Speaker 2: is pretty much over. It was all orchestrated, and I
- 46:03Speaker 2: mean Democrats and a lot of crazy left wingers all
- 46:05Speaker 2: jumped on it. But the body that ruled on climate
- 46:09Speaker 2: change was the United Nations International Panel on Climate Change.
- 46:13Speaker 2: That was the official body that ran this whole hoax.
- 46:17Speaker 2: And this is where you got all the scenarios about
- 46:19Speaker 2: the world's going to overheat and burn up, and the
- 46:23Speaker 2: ocean's going to rise up, and the glacier is going
- 46:25Speaker 2: to be gone and all that stuff. Well, quietly over
- 46:28Speaker 2: the weekend they announced that those predictions are incorrect. They
- 46:33Speaker 2: said they now for this century, say that all those
- 46:36Speaker 2: predictions are implausible, which means impossible. They were depending on scientists,
- 46:43Speaker 2: questionable scientists, left wing scientists who depended on grants and
- 46:48Speaker 2: where I'm sure there were other reasons, but they were
- 46:52Speaker 2: ginning all this up to get more grants. But the
- 46:55Speaker 2: official body that rules this whole climate change hoax actually says,
- 46:59Speaker 2: all these theory, all these predictions, all the stuff is
- 47:03Speaker 2: no longer valid. It is now they use the word implausible,
- 47:08Speaker 2: which means impossible. But people are starting to look back
- 47:11Speaker 2: on this. President Trump called it the biggest con job
- 47:13Speaker 2: in history. People are starting to study this whole thing now.
- 47:17Speaker 2: Apparently it cost trillions of dollars in damage to countries
- 47:22Speaker 2: all over. The economic damage is incalculable. Hundreds and hundreds
- 47:27Speaker 2: of billions, actually trillions were wasted worldwide on fake green
- 47:31Speaker 2: scheme programs, on forcing businesses to adopt all kinds of regulations.
- 47:37Speaker 2: It drove the price of everything up. You know one
- 47:41Speaker 2: recent gas cars. Everything went up, all the regulations put
- 47:44Speaker 2: on them because of climate change. It destroyed the New
- 47:48Speaker 2: York economy. It caused crazy left wing governor Andrew Cuomo
- 47:53Speaker 2: to ban fracking. You know, we're sitting on a ton
- 47:56Speaker 2: of natural gas. Our energy costs would have been one
- 47:59Speaker 2: tenth of what they are now if he had not
- 48:01Speaker 2: banned fracking. He shut down Indian Point. That tripled everybody's
- 48:06Speaker 2: electric bill right there. In fact, all the getting rid
- 48:11Speaker 2: of all the fossil fuel, and then it also hurt
- 48:14Speaker 2: the environment. Believe it or not, this whole green movement
- 48:16Speaker 2: hurt the environment as we shifted to wind, solar and
- 48:20Speaker 2: all that crap. The wind farms did more environmental damage
- 48:25Speaker 2: than anything. I mean, they were just awful on the environment.
- 48:29Speaker 2: And whenever that's one reason, you know, when they wanted
- 48:32Speaker 2: to do it in the Cape or anywhere near left
- 48:34Speaker 2: wingers or Kennedy's, they would ban the windmills because you
- 48:39Speaker 2: don't just stick the windmill in the ground. You have
- 48:42Speaker 2: to go like a half mile out in every direction
- 48:44Speaker 2: and just tear up the ground and fill it with concrete,
- 48:48Speaker 2: and you know it's forever. You can never get rid
- 48:50Speaker 2: of that. You destroy your coastline. The blades on a
- 48:54Speaker 2: windmill are so big, the blades are the size of
- 48:57Speaker 2: the Washington Monument and they're five They are a nightmare
- 49:02Speaker 2: to dispose of. You got to change him every year.
- 49:05Speaker 2: So disposing of the old blades was far worse than
- 49:08Speaker 2: trying to get rid of a nuclear waste. So it
- 49:10Speaker 2: was terrible for the environment. It produced absolutely no power
- 49:14Speaker 2: that was I mean a tiny fraction of what we needed.
- 49:18Speaker 2: You remember in Europe they went solar power wind power,
- 49:22Speaker 2: and then about two years later had to tear it
- 49:24Speaker 2: all down. It just wouldn't work. There was never enough wind.
- 49:28Speaker 2: So Hey the Knicks tonight, big, big, big, big game tonight.
- 49:32Speaker 2: Now James Dolan Madison Square Garden has announced. You know
- 49:36Speaker 2: there's always talk would you sell the Knicks, would you
- 49:38Speaker 2: sell the Rangers? Well, he's announced both the Knicks and
- 49:41Speaker 2: the Rangers will split up. Each of them will become
- 49:44Speaker 2: separate public companies, which means it'll be a stock you
- 49:48Speaker 2: can buy. So that's kind of like selling him. It's
- 49:51Speaker 2: actually a smarter way for him because what he's gonna
- 49:54Speaker 2: do make it a public company. You can buy stock.
- 49:58Speaker 2: They'll each be a separate public company. But the Forbes
- 50:00Speaker 2: thinks the Knicks will be worth about ten billion, ten billion,
- 50:06Speaker 2: even the Rangers four billion. That's fourteen billion they'll take
- 50:10Speaker 2: in right there. It's a way to kind of very
- 50:13Speaker 2: safely get rid of the Knicks and the Rangers and
- 50:16Speaker 2: sell them. Pretty good deal. Madison Square Garden stock itself
- 50:21Speaker 2: soared as a result. Hey, mayor's crazy mayor, Mom Donnie
- 50:27Speaker 2: anti Semitic, mayor, Mom, Donnie anti Israel. I mean you
- 50:31Speaker 2: talk about racism and bigotry, This is it to be
- 50:34Speaker 2: that anti Semitic to be against a group. This kind
- 50:38Speaker 2: of discrimination we've never seen from a public official. But
- 50:43Speaker 2: he's not going to go to the Israel Day parade,
- 50:45Speaker 2: which is awful. But he also commemorated a Knackbud Day,
- 50:51Speaker 2: which a lot of us have never heard of. Knack
- 50:54Speaker 2: Bud Day. The real anti Semits of the world, the
- 50:57Speaker 2: real anti Semitic, anti Israel people celebrate this Nakba Day.
- 51:02Speaker 2: What it is, it's the day in nineteen forty eight
- 51:06Speaker 2: where Israel was created. But a Knakba Day is an
- 51:11Speaker 2: anti Israel day. It's supposedly just commemorate how awful what
- 51:17Speaker 2: happened to the Palestinians were, how disgusting it was they
- 51:21Speaker 2: were displaced from their land, how evil Israel was when
- 51:24Speaker 2: it was created. The creation of Israel was evil, awful.
- 51:27Speaker 2: This is what Knakba Day is all about. It's a
- 51:29Speaker 2: horrible thing. But for Mayor mont Donnie to actually put
- 51:32Speaker 2: out a video commemorating this awful thing, it is about
- 51:35Speaker 2: as anti Semitic as you can get. Now, these Knakba
- 51:38Speaker 2: Day people just take everything out of a context. They
- 51:41Speaker 2: make it sound like nineteen forty eight was the most awful,
- 51:45Speaker 2: evil thing ever done throwing the Palestinian They just totally
- 51:48Speaker 2: ignore the real facts. Israel was created by the United Nations.
- 51:53Speaker 2: It was a partition plan. All the countries participated in it.
- 51:59Speaker 2: The Arab rejection of it was the reason many Palestinians left.
- 52:02Speaker 2: They weren't thrown out of anywhere. But this is the dirty,
- 52:05Speaker 2: dirty racism of Mom, Donnie and a lot of Democrats unfortunately.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Now I just want to mention this again. Tuesday night,
- 52:14Speaker 2: a lot of people are going to this big rally
- 52:16Speaker 2: Tuesday night outside of Gracie Mansion. It's to fight the
- 52:21Speaker 2: anti Semitism seven pm Tuesday night, May twenty sixth, being
- 52:27Speaker 2: organized by a lot of people. Jewish heritage groups will
- 52:30Speaker 2: be there, a lot of speakers, of politicians, political officials
- 52:35Speaker 2: will be there Tuesday night, seven o'clock Gracie Mansion. They
- 52:38Speaker 2: have an instagram it's called stop ju Hatred. Stop j
- 52:42Speaker 2: Hatred on Instagram and get all the all the latest there.
- 52:46Speaker 2: But Tuesday night, seven o'clock, I know a lot of
- 52:48Speaker 2: people are going to this, so hey, we'll take some calls. Next.
- 52:51Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 52:54Speaker 2: the number. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 53:00Speaker 1: On the iHeart Radio app to doubo r to hear
- 53:03Speaker 1: Mark live? Is that another for Mark's podcast? To hear
- 53:07Speaker 1: him anytime?
- 53:08Speaker 9: Now?
- 53:08Speaker 1: Back to Mark Dumon on wor Hey.
- 53:13Speaker 2: That's six and calls eight hundred three to two one
- 53:16Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to Lenny
- 53:18Speaker 2: and the Bronx. Lenny, how you doing Mark?
- 53:21Speaker 8: How are you good?
- 53:22Speaker 15: To hear you voice?
- 53:22Speaker 2: I love your show?
- 53:23Speaker 13: Listen?
- 53:24Speaker 18: Just just a quick question, quick question, why does everyone,
- 53:27Speaker 18: including you, refer to Greg Gutfeldt show is late night
- 53:31Speaker 18: when ten o'clock has always been the final hour of
- 53:34Speaker 18: primetime television.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Well, you're getting technically because it's done like a late
- 53:39Speaker 2: night show. You could run at eleven thirty. It's just
- 53:42Speaker 2: as easy.
- 53:43Speaker 13: But yeah, I mean, but the second man is with
- 53:46Speaker 13: him on a ten.
- 53:47Speaker 18: He's not Jimmy Stallons or Knills. He's not their competition.
- 53:51Speaker 18: He's like CSI's competition whoever is on a ton of car.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I hate to break it to you all that
- 53:56Speaker 2: doesn't exist anymore. There really is no primetime anymore. Most
- 53:58Speaker 2: people are a DVR. Dn't they calm downtown. You're technically right,
- 54:04Speaker 2: it's on in prime time, But None of that matters anymore.
- 54:07Speaker 2: None of that mattered. It doesn't even matter what time
- 54:09Speaker 2: you're on anymore. Let's go to Stuart in South Carolina. Stuart,
- 54:13Speaker 2: how you doing, Hey, Mark?
- 54:15Speaker 15: How are you?
- 54:16Speaker 5: You know?
- 54:16Speaker 17: Talking about it OJ trial. You know, I've been in
- 54:18Speaker 17: hundreds and hundreds of trials. I've been in two death
- 54:21Speaker 17: penalty trials which I helped put two on death row
- 54:24Speaker 17: since been executed. One is waiting. When I watched that
- 54:28Speaker 17: OJ trial, and I've been an officer probably fifteen years
- 54:31Speaker 17: at that time. When they did that glove, I knew
- 54:34Speaker 17: the trial was over.
- 54:35Speaker 16: It was a leather glove.
- 54:36Speaker 17: It had been wet, of course, as trunk. I cannot
- 54:39Speaker 17: believe they were so stupid in the middle of a trial.
- 54:43Speaker 17: You never ask a question or do anything you don't
- 54:46Speaker 17: know the answer to in a trial. Ever, it was
- 54:49Speaker 17: like they wanted to blow that trial. That was the
- 54:52Speaker 17: dumbest thing I have ever seen in my life and
- 54:55Speaker 17: ever seen since. I just can't believe Marsha Clark did that.
- 54:58Speaker 2: Well, but that happens a lot where you got, you know,
- 55:01Speaker 2: multi million dollar lawyers up against you know, sixty thousand
- 55:04Speaker 2: dollars a year prosecutors back Yeah, happened in the William
- 55:08Speaker 2: Kennedy Smith trial. You have these little local law I remember,
- 55:11Speaker 2: little local prosecutors up against the most powerful lawyers in
- 55:15Speaker 2: the world. It's not an even mat.
- 55:17Speaker 17: Yeah, but that was probably one of the most boneheaded
- 55:19Speaker 17: things I've ever seen in my almost fifty years as
- 55:21Speaker 17: a loss I just could not believe it. I knew
- 55:23Speaker 17: the trial was over then, So just my two cents
- 55:27Speaker 17: about that.
- 55:27Speaker 2: All right, good point. Let's go to Fran in massive
- 55:31Speaker 2: Pequa fran How you doing.
- 55:33Speaker 8: What's up?
- 55:34Speaker 9: Buddy?
- 55:34Speaker 11: Thanks?
- 55:34Speaker 8: Mark?
- 55:35Speaker 10: Roy?
- 55:35Speaker 8: You do You're a peaking of truth, my friend.
- 55:39Speaker 5: Oh.
- 55:39Speaker 2: Thanks. Let's go to Jack in Wisconsin. Jack, how you
- 55:43Speaker 2: doing good? Mark?
- 55:45Speaker 8: Hey, I got a question for you. I've been big
- 55:48Speaker 8: Trump supporters since the beginning, but the stuff that's going
- 55:51Speaker 8: on and Iran right now. You know, they keep talking
- 55:54Speaker 8: about how we're going to negotiate with them and stuff.
- 55:56Speaker 8: You know, I mean, them being a deaf culture, like
- 55:58Speaker 8: the eye, they understand people. I mean, they kill their
- 56:01Speaker 8: own people, don't you Don't you agree that trying to
- 56:05Speaker 8: negotiate with them, to them makes us look weak when
- 56:09Speaker 8: they understand.
- 56:09Speaker 2: That makes it look fair. I mean, we could end
- 56:12Speaker 2: up just you know, militarily just wiping them out. But
- 56:15Speaker 2: this way you can say you gave you gave them
- 56:19Speaker 2: a chance, you gave him a chance to negotiat. You
- 56:20Speaker 2: got to give them a chance negotiate the way out.
- 56:23Speaker 2: There's no hurt.
- 56:24Speaker 8: They never hold they never hold up there into the bargain.
- 56:26Speaker 8: I mean, they're absolutely.
- 56:29Speaker 2: Were not wrong, but you got to you gotta do
- 56:31Speaker 2: it this way. This way, you were being fair about it.
- 56:33Speaker 2: And the longer we keep the straight the longer we
- 56:35Speaker 2: keep the straight clothes, The longer we keep this going,
- 56:37Speaker 2: the more it just drains their economy. They've got no
- 56:40Speaker 2: revenue coming in their currency.
- 56:42Speaker 8: Is anybody knows if they have like military basis for
- 56:45Speaker 8: the I r C or i ERG.
- 56:47Speaker 2: Well, we've taken out all those military bases. They got
- 56:49Speaker 2: the missiles and rockets and stuff that they got buried underground.
- 56:52Speaker 2: They got some nuclear I.
- 56:56Speaker 8: Just I guess my thought is that they're willing to
- 56:58Speaker 8: kill our own people for testing. They understand death and
- 57:02Speaker 8: to them words mean nothing.
- 57:04Speaker 2: No I understand, but for optics reasons, you got to
- 57:06Speaker 2: make it look like you gave them every chance to
- 57:08Speaker 2: negotiates the where at and then then you're gonna end
- 57:10Speaker 2: up having around, but you got to give them every
- 57:12Speaker 2: chance first. Just be patient. Call back in two months.
- 57:16Speaker 2: I think you'll be very happy. Let's go to Vincent
- 57:20Speaker 2: and Brooklyn. Vincent. How you doing.
- 57:22Speaker 9: Good morning, Mark, Good morning matter Marc. As you and
- 57:25Speaker 9: I spoke about many times, for safety, for accountability, and
- 57:31Speaker 9: for insurance purposes, and for revenue, the City of Rome
- 57:35Speaker 9: and Rome Province. Now, even for those electric razors scooters,
- 57:42Speaker 9: you have to have it's a combination of registration plate
- 57:47Speaker 9: and when you go on you have to go online.
- 57:51Speaker 9: We'll go to their DMV and acquire one. You have
- 57:55Speaker 9: to put down the serial number of these razors school
- 58:00Speaker 9: it is. And also because you don't need a license
- 58:04Speaker 9: proper to drive one of them like you do a motorcycle,
- 58:08Speaker 9: you have to put on on the application form who
- 58:12Speaker 9: are going to be the principal drive is of this.
- 58:17Speaker 9: I wouldn't be caught that on one of them, but
- 58:19Speaker 9: anyway on a scooter exactly so that an accident DoorDash
- 58:27Speaker 9: no no no way, no way, Bob, but anyway. And
- 58:33Speaker 9: they're charging uh thirty eight euros, which is about forty
- 58:37Speaker 9: five dollars in our currency. But they're doing it for accountability,
- 58:43Speaker 9: to raise revenue and to know who these people are
- 58:47Speaker 9: in case of accidents. You're absolutely right accountable.
- 58:52Speaker 2: They always yelling about revenues. Start the licensing, you collect
- 58:55Speaker 2: the fee, renewal fee, everything from every bike, scooter, electric everything,
- 59:00Speaker 2: you make a fortune and revenue. Also, start giving them
- 59:03Speaker 2: traffic tickets because they're going a yeah.
- 59:04Speaker 9: Well, that's one of the other reasons why they do
- 59:07Speaker 9: it because in Italy, once your past sixteen you have
- 59:12Speaker 9: to have ID have them forbid right and you have
- 59:16Speaker 9: to put in your ID number in the computer and
- 59:19Speaker 9: you have to your picture will come up immediately.
- 59:23Speaker 2: Be yeah, No, you're absolutely good. Point Vic, excellent point,
- 59:27Speaker 2: thanks for Colin. Yeah. Start ticketing all those scooters, bikes.
- 59:31Speaker 2: They're always going through red lights, they're always up on
- 59:33Speaker 2: the sidewalk, they're always going the wrong way down the street.
- 59:36Speaker 2: Start ticketing them. You'll get a fortune in revenue and
- 59:40Speaker 2: you'll make things safer. It's a perfect thing to do.
- 59:42Speaker 2: Let's see if democrats like Hoko will actually ever do that. Hey,
- 59:46Speaker 2: when we come back, Bill O'Reilly will be with us.
- 59:49Speaker 2: We got a lot to talk to him about. Coming
- 59:51Speaker 2: up next on seven to ten WR.
- 59:53Speaker 1: There's more and Mark Simone on seven to ten WR.
- 59:58Speaker 2: Well, Bill O'Reilly the number one anchor for decades, the
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: number one best selling non fiction author on Earth, and
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: you get all of his books. Also, you go to
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly dot com. You get everything there. You can
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: get the TV show, you can get his new podcast,
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: We'll Do It Live. It's great, great guests, you should
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: watch all of them. You can watch his YouTube channel,
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly at YouTube. A lot of great content there,
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly, How you doing.
- 1:00:25Speaker 14: Hanging tough? Getting ready to go over to Ireland and
- 1:00:29Speaker 14: London and.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: You're gonna be part of the revolution over there. It
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: looks like they've had it with these left wing government
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: types in London, like.
- 1:00:40Speaker 14: Almost a civil war over there. So we're doing a
- 1:00:44Speaker 14: special for News Nation about how this could happen in
- 1:00:48Speaker 14: the vast changes. I lived in London for a year
- 1:00:53Speaker 14: when I was in college, and it's just not even
- 1:00:56Speaker 14: close to being the same city, almost like New York.
- 1:00:59Speaker 14: I mean, New York isn't there yet, but we're heading
- 1:01:02Speaker 14: down that road.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you see the tide turning in London and England.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: You see it maybe in la where Republicans are suddenly
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: doing pretty well. You think this is the beginning of
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: the end for the left wing kooks.
- 1:01:18Speaker 14: It's an interesting question because you would think that the
- 1:01:23Speaker 14: Democratic Party would have some momentum because of the high
- 1:01:28Speaker 14: prices that consumers are paying. But they don't because they're
- 1:01:32Speaker 14: so radical left, so progressive that middle of the road
- 1:01:36Speaker 14: Americans of all parties are fearful of them. So that
- 1:01:41Speaker 14: kind of negates any kind of political advantage they would
- 1:01:44Speaker 14: have on policy or on that kind of thing. Because
- 1:01:48Speaker 14: these are fairly dangerous people. I mean, the guy in Maine,
- 1:01:52Speaker 14: Oh my god, this guy issue looking at him, and
- 1:01:58Speaker 14: Donnie in New York and on and on and on,
- 1:02:02Speaker 14: and people go, I don't think so so that it
- 1:02:08Speaker 14: changes everything, that's for sure.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: So that La Mayor Karen Bass some of the things
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: she's pushing for are so crazy left wing that yeah.
- 1:02:18Speaker 14: I mean, she wants to give all the drug addicts teeth.
- 1:02:24Speaker 14: I know, I'm a mean guy, but I don't really
- 1:02:28Speaker 14: want to pay for their teeth. I just don't want to. Look,
- 1:02:33Speaker 14: if you're a drug addict and you spend all your
- 1:02:37Speaker 14: time trying to get high, you don't contribute to society.
- 1:02:41Speaker 14: You oft the time do very bad things. To get money.
- 1:02:46Speaker 14: And now I'm supposed to pay for your housing. I'm
- 1:02:49Speaker 14: supposed to give you cash as they do in San Francisco.
- 1:02:53Speaker 14: Now I'm supposed to pay for your dental work, and
- 1:02:57Speaker 14: already I'm paying for the medical situations. And what's their
- 1:03:04Speaker 14: responsibility as an American citizen, as a human being, what
- 1:03:07Speaker 14: do they give back? Nothing? I mean, it's just way
- 1:03:12Speaker 14: out of whack here. But it's taken root.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: Hey, Bill O'Reilly does a great podcast, We'll Do It Live.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: The latest episode. You should watch them all. But the
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: latest episode, the guest is Andrew Cuomo. But here's the
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: complaint about Cuomo. He says in there, he says, well,
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: you know, I'm a moderate Democrat. He was the most
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: left wing governor we've ever had with his no bail,
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: no jail, and close the prisons, let the prisoners. I mean,
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: it's an endless list of stuff that was so far
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: to the left. Why does he keep saying he's a
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: moderate Democrat.
- 1:03:44Speaker 14: Well, it was the last two years that he really
- 1:03:47Speaker 14: took the turn because he wanted to continue in the job,
- 1:03:52Speaker 14: and he knew that the progressives were the money people,
- 1:03:55Speaker 14: and he kind of said, all right, I'll be a
- 1:03:59Speaker 14: progressive now. Before that, he wasn't so bad as far
- 1:04:03Speaker 14: as his policies were concerned. Got into big trouble with COVID.
- 1:04:07Speaker 14: Everybody knows. You can make some excuses to that, but
- 1:04:13Speaker 14: you're right about the bail and he says, well, it's
- 1:04:16Speaker 14: a poor thing that there were people sitting in rikers
- 1:04:19Speaker 14: for two years because they couldn't make bail, and then
- 1:04:22Speaker 14: they get on trial or acquitted. So that system is
- 1:04:26Speaker 14: not fair. But the problem that you have when you're
- 1:04:31Speaker 14: going to do that is you're going to put dangerous
- 1:04:34Speaker 14: people back on the street. Because ace judge has a sheet,
- 1:04:38Speaker 14: they know what this person has done in the past.
- 1:04:42Speaker 14: And if you have a conviction or a violent tendency,
- 1:04:47Speaker 14: certainly and you're let out a jail to punching somebody
- 1:04:50Speaker 14: in a face or push them on a railroad track,
- 1:04:53Speaker 14: I mean they're going to do it again. So you know,
- 1:04:56Speaker 14: those progressive policies never work. He went into that world
- 1:05:00Speaker 14: for a couple of years and it ruined him because
- 1:05:03Speaker 14: the progressives turned on him. He wasn't progressive enough for them,
- 1:05:09Speaker 14: and so they went after them and they got him.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty stupid though, if you know, if this
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: is what you are to just switch your politics just
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: whatever way the wind is blowing.
- 1:05:19Speaker 14: It's not rare, not rare.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: Well, it's a great interview. You can watch it. Bill
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: O'Reilly's podcast, We'll do It Live, and you got a
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: new one coming out this week.
- 1:05:30Speaker 14: Yeah, it's There are four Baldwin brothers, yeah, Alec baw
- 1:05:36Speaker 14: and Billy Bowen, Daniel Balwin and Steven Bowen and they're
- 1:05:40Speaker 14: all on Island raised, and two of them are conservative
- 1:05:45Speaker 14: and two of them are very liberal and it's fractured
- 1:05:49Speaker 14: the whole family. And so we're interviewing Steven Bowen about
- 1:05:57Speaker 14: the and it's not just him and his family, but
- 1:06:00Speaker 14: stopping all over the country where families are dissolving because
- 1:06:05Speaker 14: politics and friendships and all kinds of stuff is going
- 1:06:12Speaker 14: by the wayside. And so that should be a pretty
- 1:06:16Speaker 14: interesting interview, particularly framed around the ball and boys.
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll check that out Bill o'relly's podcast, will do
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: It Live. Hey, you've been to China at the President's trip.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: How would you rate it now?
- 1:06:27Speaker 14: Looking back on it, I think it's a successful trip.
- 1:06:30Speaker 14: I don't know what people want, I mean, their expectations
- 1:06:34Speaker 14: are what the Chinese are tough boys, and they're.
- 1:06:40Speaker 16: Going to do.
- 1:06:42Speaker 14: What they want to do, and Donald Trump's not going
- 1:06:46Speaker 14: to stop them. But if you can get some.
- 1:06:49Speaker 9: Kind of common ground where there's.
- 1:06:54Speaker 14: An economic benefit to both countries being friendlier to each other,
- 1:06:59Speaker 14: then you take it. And you know, but I don't
- 1:07:04Speaker 14: people don't understand China. They don't understand the mentality the Chinese.
- 1:07:08Speaker 14: I try my best to explain it. But people, Oh,
- 1:07:13Speaker 14: why didn't you do this?
- 1:07:14Speaker 15: Whant to do that?
- 1:07:15Speaker 14: You know, you just don't do that if you want
- 1:07:19Speaker 14: to have a good relationship or a decent relationship with
- 1:07:23Speaker 14: the second most powerful nation on Earth, which of course
- 1:07:26Speaker 14: the United States should want.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: Yeah, so the President said, when you meet with these
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: Chinese officials, they're dead serious. There's no pleasantries, no small talk,
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: it's all formality. You met with the Chinese officials. Is
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: that the way it is?
- 1:07:39Speaker 16: Oh?
- 1:07:39Speaker 14: Yeah, nobody's telling jokes. There's not a lot of mirth,
- 1:07:45Speaker 14: am I RT. The thing that bothers me about the
- 1:07:50Speaker 14: Chinese is there are two things. Number One, you'll never
- 1:07:53Speaker 14: know what they're thinking. They'll never tell you. It's not
- 1:07:56Speaker 14: like Americans that we just spout off and people know,
- 1:08:00Speaker 14: you know what our point of view is it's not
- 1:08:03Speaker 14: like that over there. Nobody does that, so you don't
- 1:08:06Speaker 14: know what they're thinking. And then they make vague promises like, yeah,
- 1:08:10Speaker 14: we'll help you out in UH with the Iranian conflict.
- 1:08:15Speaker 14: They're not going to help us out.
- 1:08:17Speaker 10: They're not.
- 1:08:20Speaker 14: And I know what Trump knows it, everybody knows it
- 1:08:25Speaker 14: who's in that game. But you know the Chinese will go,
- 1:08:30Speaker 14: I will help you out.
- 1:08:31Speaker 16: Now.
- 1:08:32Speaker 14: To me, the way to deal with that is to say, look,
- 1:08:36Speaker 14: we want to deinfensify this Taiwan thing. We want to
- 1:08:39Speaker 14: talk about it, but we're not going to do anything
- 1:08:42Speaker 14: unless you help us with Iran. Then we get into
- 1:08:45Speaker 14: quit bo quo. Then something might happen. But just asking
- 1:08:49Speaker 14: the Chinese for a favor, no, that's not the kind
- 1:08:54Speaker 14: of society it is.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: Yeah, So they're very formal and they look very smart.
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: But this idea that they're so brilliant that the one
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: hundred years strategy are they? Are they that much smarter
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: than us?
- 1:09:05Speaker 14: They're good at stealing stuff, They steal technology from everybody.
- 1:09:13Speaker 14: Are they that smart? I mean harder generalize? If you
- 1:09:19Speaker 14: look at the test scores of Chinese Americans a totally
- 1:09:21Speaker 14: different game. They're the highest test scores among the students
- 1:09:25Speaker 14: of any ethnic group in this country because they work
- 1:09:29Speaker 14: hard and they're you know, focus on a goal of success.
- 1:09:36Speaker 14: But are they any smarter than the Irish? Well maybe
- 1:09:40Speaker 14: I shouldn't ask that question, but I can't generalize about
- 1:09:48Speaker 14: entire races of people.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: Hey, what did the President do Iran? He's given them
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: a couple more days to negotiate. What do you think.
- 1:09:57Speaker 14: I think the Iranians are exhausted with all of the
- 1:10:02Speaker 14: postponements that they that they've received, so it's coming to
- 1:10:07Speaker 14: a head. I wouldn't be surprised if this week you
- 1:10:12Speaker 14: see some pretty intense military action. He doesn't want to
- 1:10:17Speaker 14: kill civilians. The President does not want to kill civilians.
- 1:10:20Speaker 14: That's what's holding it back because tens of thousands of
- 1:10:24Speaker 14: people will die in those bombings and he doesn't want
- 1:10:28Speaker 14: to do that. Trump so he's given the Mullas every opportunity. Well,
- 1:10:36Speaker 14: at the same time reinforcing what the United States needs
- 1:10:40Speaker 14: And I hate to say it, but they we might
- 1:10:45Speaker 14: have to go back in and then blow the hell
- 1:10:47Speaker 14: out of their infrastructure.
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: It'll be interesting. Now, Bill O'Reilly, You're leave for Ireland tomorrow.
- 1:10:55Speaker 14: No over the weekend.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: Oh okay, and you'll be reporting from there on News
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: Nation and we can watch it there.
- 1:11:02Speaker 14: Yeah, I'm going to just every two years a bunch
- 1:11:05Speaker 14: of friends of mine go to a different destination. So
- 1:11:09Speaker 14: there's twenty five guys going on this Ireland trip. Everybody
- 1:11:13Speaker 14: wants to go to Ireland because it's just a beautiful place.
- 1:11:16Speaker 14: We went to Malta two years ago. That was interesting,
- 1:11:20Speaker 14: and then after the festivities and we're going to the
- 1:11:25Speaker 14: southern part of Ireland, you know, ring and carry ding
- 1:11:28Speaker 14: go all beautiful. Then I'm going over to London to
- 1:11:33Speaker 14: do this civil war documentary. You know, Britain is in
- 1:11:37Speaker 14: the middle of a civil war here primarily because of migration.
- 1:11:41Speaker 14: Now we don't have that problem because we don't have
- 1:11:43Speaker 14: that many Muslims, but they do. So I'm going to
- 1:11:47Speaker 14: report there and to be on News Nation. I don't
- 1:11:49Speaker 14: know when. I have a special come up on the
- 1:11:54Speaker 14: fourth of July about heroes and villains and the Revolutionary War,
- 1:11:58Speaker 14: so that'll be the next thing, the special we do,
- 1:12:01Speaker 14: and then I assume they'll run the London thing in
- 1:12:05Speaker 14: August or September.
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: All right, sounds good. Everybody watched Bill O'Reilly's YouTube channels.
