- 0:01Speaker 1: What do you show? Welcome back, Hi, it's up time
- 0:13Speaker 1: for another original wood. He showed trademark copyright game. This
- 0:18Speaker 1: one's called who Sits Shotgun? And I got some audio
- 0:22Speaker 1: from this video. This dude and his girlfriend and his
- 0:26Speaker 1: mom are getting in a car. The girlfriend decided to
- 0:30Speaker 1: sit front seat. Mom's like uh huh no and gets
- 0:38Speaker 1: into it with the girlfriend about it, tells her to
- 0:41Speaker 1: get her ass in the.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Back really, oh yeah, And the boyfriend's driving.
- 0:46Speaker 1: The boyfriend is driving, and these are adults. These are adults.
- 0:50Speaker 1: So it's the boyfriend, his mom, and then the girlfriend
- 0:56Speaker 1: who gets the front seat. Here's their little squabble here
- 1:00Speaker 1: sitting in the back seat.
- 1:01Speaker 3: You need to get out. You go sit in the
- 1:04Speaker 3: back seat today.
- 1:05Speaker 1: You need to get out.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I'm not sitting in the back seat.
- 1:12Speaker 4: Y'all got married anybody. I mean, we're just going somewhere.
- 1:16Speaker 2: You are like, you're got to sit in the back
- 1:17Speaker 2: seat for that, okay, I mean normal situation. Yeah, the
- 1:25Speaker 2: mother would always sit in the back seat unless it
- 1:26Speaker 2: was like really super really.
- 1:29Speaker 1: That's not how it goes. According to what I've according
- 1:31Speaker 1: to what I'm I'm gathering from online.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Is the etiquette is the Mom.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, anybody the older person really, whoever's older gets
- 1:41Speaker 1: the front seat.
- 1:42Speaker 2: It's not like I made like the rule like you
- 1:44Speaker 2: always like going to the back seat.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Never.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it has never been a discussion. You're supposed
- 1:50Speaker 3: to give up if you're supposed.
- 1:51Speaker 1: To give up a seat on a bus for an
- 1:53Speaker 1: older training for another person. So it goes I think
- 1:55Speaker 1: that goes along with the same the same thing now
- 1:57Speaker 1: might offer. My question is you're in that situation you
- 2:02Speaker 1: in this case the boyfriend, all right, Greg, you're driving, Yes,
- 2:06Speaker 1: it's Mario and Mom and your mom. My.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Mom's sitting in back. She prefers it. I think, unless
- 2:14Speaker 4: I've been wrong my home.
- 2:15Speaker 1: She doesn't prefer it. She wants That's the argument here.
- 2:18Speaker 4: I would absolutely let her sit up front, and you
- 2:20Speaker 4: would tell Ario.
- 2:21Speaker 3: But yeah, let's what Mario was pissed about.
- 2:23Speaker 1: You're missing the whole point of the argument.
- 2:25Speaker 4: If this was the exact same scenario, you have to
- 2:28Speaker 4: you have.
- 2:28Speaker 1: To make the call who's sits to the front seat.
- 2:30Speaker 1: They both want the front seat. Your mom and Mario
- 2:33Speaker 1: both want the front seat. Who sits in the front?
- 2:36Speaker 4: Mom?
- 2:37Speaker 2: I agree, Yeah, every time I'd be like, I'll sit
- 2:40Speaker 2: in the back.
- 2:42Speaker 1: You're driving for the sake of the spirit of the argument,
- 2:44Speaker 1: that's not the driving in front.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Then we're not going anywhere. No, I'm just like, well.
- 2:49Speaker 1: It's funny is that the mom ended up getting in
- 2:51Speaker 1: her own car and then just drove and met them
- 2:53Speaker 1: at the.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Okay, a different hypothetical. You would e your wife and
- 2:59Speaker 4: her parents who are visiting. Right you're going out, who's
- 3:03Speaker 4: sitting up front?
- 3:04Speaker 1: Typically my father in law will sit up Oh really, yeah,
- 3:07Speaker 1: he'll set up front with me. My wife and her
- 3:10Speaker 1: mom will sit in the back, and you know, hand
- 3:11Speaker 1: it up.
- 3:12Speaker 4: In my house, if there's four of us, it's me
- 3:14Speaker 4: and Mario up front. Parents in back.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Yeah, as long as they've got a beady And but
- 3:19Speaker 2: it's never like a discussion.
- 3:20Speaker 4: This is automatically.
- 3:21Speaker 2: We walked to the car.
- 3:22Speaker 3: No one picks their.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Seat, and as a passenger, I prefer to be in
- 3:25Speaker 4: the back.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I don't I don't know how many people are actually
- 3:26Speaker 1: gonna like argue and fight about it, like my kids
- 3:28Speaker 1: will fight about who gets to sit in the front.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I'll go all right, look wan on the way there,
- 3:32Speaker 1: one on the way.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Back, right, both in the back, shut up, or both
- 3:35Speaker 3: in the back.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Yeah exactly, but I would be I would be disappointed
- 3:40Speaker 1: if I had that actual situation where my wife was
- 3:43Speaker 1: arguing with you know, one of our parents about who
- 3:46Speaker 1: sits in the front? Yeah, how old is everybody?
- 3:48Speaker 5: And Greg, I'm with you, like if I just don't
- 3:50Speaker 5: feel like talking, which I know is shocking, but it
- 3:52Speaker 5: does happen a lot, especially in the car.
- 3:54Speaker 3: I'm like, baxis, I got back sies.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Now, there are some people that are making the argument
- 4:00Speaker 1: that once your child has another significant other, you are
- 4:04Speaker 1: the back seat to that person, Like you are no
- 4:07Speaker 1: longer that person. You were always their mother, you were
- 4:09Speaker 1: always the father. But your daughter now has another man
- 4:13Speaker 1: in her life, your mom or your son now has
- 4:16Speaker 1: another woman in his life and that is his spouse. Yeah,
- 4:20Speaker 1: that spouse goes up front.
- 4:21Speaker 3: But that but you got to make it official, you
- 4:23Speaker 3: got to put a ring on.
- 4:24Speaker 1: That's why I think, because you hear it goes like
- 4:26Speaker 1: you're you're not even married. Is the mom's like yelling
- 4:29Speaker 1: like married somewhere? Yeah, se so maybe that's what she's thinking, like, hey,
- 4:41Speaker 1: once you're married, then yeah of course, and then even
- 4:43Speaker 1: sit up front, and.
- 4:44Speaker 5: The girlfriend's like, I don't want to break the seal
- 4:46Speaker 5: on this, or I'll always be in the back.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Girl.
- 4:48Speaker 1: You don't get to get to the oval office until
- 4:50Speaker 1: you're the president. Thank you. You haven't been elected yet something,
- 4:53Speaker 1: you're still running for office.
- 4:54Speaker 5: Here, here's how you compromise. You offer mom the front seat,
- 4:57Speaker 5: just to be polite. Obviously she wants it. She'll say
- 4:59Speaker 5: no once, thinking you're going to offer again, being like okay,
- 5:03Speaker 5: So she gets one refusal and then she goes in
- 5:05Speaker 5: the back.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I'm with Greg, like, who even knew this was a
- 5:07Speaker 2: big deal.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I mean, I'll always volunteer and then just sit in
- 5:11Speaker 1: the back. It's not a discussion, it's just here. I
- 5:14Speaker 1: don't get the question about if you're getting into an
- 5:17Speaker 1: uber and there's a third row, I don't I'll crawl
- 5:19Speaker 1: in the back. I don't care.
- 5:20Speaker 4: I love the third row.
- 5:21Speaker 1: It doesn't matter to me. I'll get back there. I
- 5:23Speaker 1: don't care.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yeah, if I knew it was an uncomfortable back seat,
- 5:26Speaker 2: then I definitely would offer, Like, no, you guys sit
- 5:29Speaker 2: up in the front.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Yeah, my mom is some eighty year old and they
- 5:32Speaker 4: got to squeeze into the back. Then no, they can
- 5:34Speaker 4: sit up front.
- 5:35Speaker 1: My mom's got a thing going on her hip issue,
- 5:38Speaker 1: you know, hip repressurement, the thing went wrong with the
- 5:40Speaker 1: gall is fine. You know what, it's more comfortable for
- 5:42Speaker 1: her to be upfront. That way easier to get in
- 5:45Speaker 1: and out. Fine, Yeah, of course, yeah, of course I'm not.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Going to sit there.
- 5:48Speaker 3: And you know it's a non issue battle about.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Who's sitting up front. No right, we used to have
- 5:53Speaker 4: these family friends. I found it to be highly embarrassing.
- 5:57Speaker 4: And I don't know how she lived with herself, a
- 5:58Speaker 4: husband and a wife. No matter where they went, what
- 6:01Speaker 4: they did when they drove and parked, the husband had
- 6:04Speaker 4: to get out of the car. The wife just sat
- 6:06Speaker 4: there in the passenger seat and you had to walk
- 6:08Speaker 4: around and open the door for her every single time.
- 6:12Speaker 4: But she looked. Yeah, she made like a bitch face.
- 6:15Speaker 4: She would just sit there. We're all out of the car,
- 6:17Speaker 4: and I'm thinking, like, why is she just sitting there
- 6:19Speaker 4: with a bitch face. That's right, because the husband does
- 6:22Speaker 4: to go open the door.
- 6:23Speaker 5: Funny though, because I just saw this video that's gotten
- 6:25Speaker 5: a gajillion views about this guy who's all pissed that
- 6:28Speaker 5: his wife didn't wait for him to This is how
- 6:30Speaker 5: we do it in our house.
- 6:31Speaker 3: He didn't wait for you to open the door, you know.
- 6:33Speaker 3: So I'm like, which is it?
- 6:34Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 6:35Speaker 2: Right, No, I was calling the husband a beach.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Oh well, I guess both if you look looking back.
- 6:42Speaker 4: But she seemed like a bitch.
- 6:43Speaker 1: This one's tough, fellas. If you're married and you have
- 6:48Speaker 1: a daughter, here's a question, your mom, your wife, your daughter,
- 6:58Speaker 1: rank them?
- 6:59Speaker 3: Who comes first?
- 7:02Speaker 1: In general? Who comes first?
- 7:04Speaker 4: Daughter? Daughter? Yeah? Daughter?
- 7:08Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 7:09Speaker 1: Yeah, what situation though, You're just just in general, like,
- 7:13Speaker 1: my wife's a grown woman. The daughter. I think as
- 7:17Speaker 1: a dad, and I think mom should moms would choose,
- 7:20Speaker 1: you know, son, husband, father.
- 7:22Speaker 2: It's gonna it's gonna be the son, the husband, and
- 7:25Speaker 2: the last on all that, like I would of course parents.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw that. I was like, man, I don't
- 7:31Speaker 1: that's see. Daughter is easy. That's an easy number one
- 7:34Speaker 1: for me. What that's tough. That's the tough part. I
- 7:38Speaker 1: guess what are we talking about?
- 7:39Speaker 3: I mean that's the question. Yeah, you just said in general.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Yeah, it's your question.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I know. And I've looked at it. This
- 7:47Speaker 1: has been sitting here, this has been sitting here in
- 7:49Speaker 1: the studio for three weeks. I glanced at it, thinking
- 7:52Speaker 1: that we're bringing up everyone. You know, I'm gonna bring
- 7:54Speaker 1: this up at some point. Yeah, we're talking about this
- 7:56Speaker 1: front seat business. Well it got me thinking about this
- 7:59Speaker 1: one because all right, let's let's let's get in. But
- 8:01Speaker 1: like you and I have your wife or daughter.
- 8:02Speaker 5: We have a mutual friend who would absolutely say wife
- 8:06Speaker 5: because he's like, the foundation of the family is the
- 8:09Speaker 5: mom and dad and if that's not strong, then everything
- 8:11Speaker 5: falls apart. So it's always I'm always going to pick
- 8:13Speaker 5: my wife over my kids. And that's their thinking. So
- 8:15Speaker 5: you don't think of it that way.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Because your wife's your partner, yeah, and your decisions and everything.
- 8:23Speaker 1: That's your partner in.
- 8:24Speaker 5: Life, right, you know, Like if it's not just about
- 8:28Speaker 5: like I love her more, it's about without this strong
- 8:31Speaker 5: like mom and dad, husband, wife thing, what's the point
- 8:34Speaker 5: of any of it?
- 8:34Speaker 1: Was?
- 8:35Speaker 3: There was an old over that's a friend of yours.
- 8:39Speaker 3: I can't wait for you to talk.
- 8:39Speaker 1: To HI about it. That's an overstatement. He needs a babysitter,
- 8:46Speaker 1: he needs that.
- 8:47Speaker 3: That's true.
- 8:48Speaker 4: There was an old time he soap opera wedding. I
- 8:51Speaker 4: might have been days of our lives, I don't know whatever. Oh,
- 8:54Speaker 4: and the woman was giving her vows at the altar,
- 8:58Speaker 4: and she said, I promised to love our children as
- 9:01Speaker 4: much as you, but never more. And I thought, oh, Billie,
- 9:04Speaker 4: what you shouldn't love your kids more than your wife.
- 9:08Speaker 4: She was like the found like Sammy said, that's the
- 9:10Speaker 4: foundation of your family and the wife.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Okay, I think I agree with a lot of that.
- 9:19Speaker 1: And I guess because we're talking in a general sense,
- 9:22Speaker 1: not anything specific. There are times where I'm like, I
- 9:25Speaker 1: tell my mom you're wrong. I'm out one of those guys.
- 9:28Speaker 1: It's like, okay, whatever you say, mommy. Mommy like, yeah,
- 9:31Speaker 1: I will tell my mom. I've gotten into it. My
- 9:34Speaker 1: mom like we like, I like went off a number
- 9:38Speaker 1: of times where I'm like, you are dead wrong, you're
- 9:40Speaker 1: sounding crazy, blah blah blah blah blah. I've done the
- 9:43Speaker 1: same with my wife, you know. So it depends on
- 9:47Speaker 1: the situation of who. But I think in general overall,
- 9:50Speaker 1: daughter number one, wife, mom, I think as I think
- 9:55Speaker 1: the MO. I think my mom. If I'm looking at
- 9:57Speaker 1: from a general standard, I would think and I would hope,
- 10:00Speaker 1: I would hope my mom would understand. Yeah, I think
- 10:03Speaker 1: she would think.
- 10:04Speaker 4: I think she would.
- 10:05Speaker 5: But when you get married, that's your new nuclear family
- 10:08Speaker 5: or whatever, like you got to take care of your wife.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Yeah, because on a day to day basis, you know,
- 10:13Speaker 1: so yeah, day to day basis, it was your mom
- 10:16Speaker 1: until a certain point. And then as you move forward
- 10:20Speaker 1: in life and now you're running things, you know, with
- 10:23Speaker 1: this other person.
- 10:24Speaker 5: Hard though, because as a daughter, it's like, don't try
- 10:26Speaker 5: and get between me and my mom. You know, that's
- 10:28Speaker 5: my mom. So like I I you know, she moves
- 10:31Speaker 5: up in the power ranking. That's like a daughter mom,
- 10:34Speaker 5: I want to ask.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I'm against. I'm against the blind loyalty thing like yeah,
- 10:37Speaker 1: like where the mom can never be wrong like you
- 10:40Speaker 1: I'm saying. But I'm saying, like if the it's my
- 10:43Speaker 1: wife and I and it's something with her mom, and
- 10:45Speaker 1: and the mom's clearly in the wrong, this is hypothetical,
- 10:49Speaker 1: And I go, your mom's totally wrong. If she's just
- 10:51Speaker 1: gonna blind to defend, that's dumb.
- 10:53Speaker 3: You can't say that about my mom. Yeah I can
- 10:54Speaker 3: say that.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. You know. I'm like, yeah, you
- 10:56Speaker 1: know what, my mom's being totally paranoid. Yeah, you know,
- 10:58Speaker 1: my mom gets paranoid about thinking that there's like some
- 11:01Speaker 1: kind of conspiracy against you know, well, I think she
- 11:03Speaker 1: thinks that I but I'm like, no, nobody, Mom, nobody's
- 11:06Speaker 1: thinking that way. I promise you. You're you've made this
- 11:09Speaker 1: thing into a whole thing. You sound nuts.
- 11:11Speaker 3: But when you're talking about power rankings, maybe you're talking.
- 11:14Speaker 1: About power rankings. I guess it is in a weird way.
- 11:17Speaker 5: But when you're talking about that, you're probably talking about
- 11:19Speaker 5: like who do you take care of the most? You know, like,
- 11:22Speaker 5: because you're like, what are we basing this on? Maybe
- 11:24Speaker 5: it's that like you take care of your daughter, and
- 11:26Speaker 5: then you're gonna choose wife and then mom daughter wife?
- 11:31Speaker 1: Yeah, mom, fellas, what what do you? Uh?
- 11:33Speaker 4: It's like, what's mom? Happy Mother's Day? You remember three?
- 11:37Speaker 1: Well, somebody somebody on the text was asking, okay, so
- 11:41Speaker 1: Mother's Day, Uh, who who is the focus on that day?
- 11:46Speaker 1: Is it your wife? Or is it your mom?
- 11:49Speaker 4: Your should be your mom because it's mother's Day. Your
- 11:52Speaker 4: mom's not wife's day. Thank you, that's own mom.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Yeah, that's my kid's responsibility step up for their mom.
- 11:59Speaker 3: But are they doing huh? Are they doing that?
- 12:01Speaker 1: As you've seen, they're very thoughtful, very thoughtful, maybe not
- 12:04Speaker 1: as much with us as they are with Gina over
- 12:08Speaker 1: the top.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I got the queen's treatment.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Yeah. But yeah, well, the husband's mom is still alive.
- 12:13Speaker 4: She should be the focus on Mother's Day. Yeah, not
- 12:15Speaker 4: the wife.
- 12:15Speaker 1: But the wife is the mother of your children.
- 12:19Speaker 3: You are the reason that she became a mother to
- 12:21Speaker 3: begin with.
- 12:21Speaker 1: How are you then.
- 12:22Speaker 4: She's your mom?
- 12:24Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 12:24Speaker 3: Exactly made her a mom, right, you made her mom.
- 12:27Speaker 3: You're the reason she's more welcome.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Now you get to have this day it wasn't. If
- 12:32Speaker 1: it wasn't for me, you would not be celebrated today.
- 12:35Speaker 1: You should really, But I agree with Greg. It's Mother's Day.
- 12:40Speaker 1: You're supposed to be celebrating your mom. It's your mom,
- 12:43Speaker 1: your mom, and then you know, of course, like you.
- 12:45Speaker 1: It doesn't mean there's only one acknowledgement you can acknowledge.
- 12:47Speaker 1: But I'm saying that we're talking about a hierarchy here.
- 12:50Speaker 1: It would be your mom and then mother of your children.
- 12:53Speaker 4: My mom used to make me give Mother's Day cards
- 12:55Speaker 4: to my aunts and if they're.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Not my mom, yeah, we used to do the same thing.
- 12:59Speaker 1: I don't want to, I think, you know. And then
- 13:02Speaker 1: the other one I would throw in there too is Grandma.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I gotta do Grandma I did do Grandma because she.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Really I've been going back and forth on my should
- 13:08Speaker 2: I send something to my grandma?
- 13:10Speaker 4: Yes, like this this year your book?
- 13:12Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 13:13Speaker 1: Yeah, of course, Yeah, yep, I love my grandma ye
- 13:15Speaker 1: eight seven seven forty four. Woodie set us a text
- 13:19Speaker 1: over to two two nine eight seven. A lot of
- 13:20Speaker 1: thoughts on the text. Oh yeah, if you don't put
- 13:23Speaker 1: your significant other first, that's where the resentment grows. Parents
- 13:27Speaker 1: will be gone and eventually your kids will get their
- 13:29Speaker 1: own partners and you'll be left with your significant other.
- 13:31Speaker 1: If you always push them aside, that resentment will always
- 13:34Speaker 1: be there. Well cool, I'm going out with the boys.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Get your own apartment, right exactly, dream will come, Caulator.
- 13:43Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure Sammy's dad is.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Not gonna give me the silent treatment.
- 13:47Speaker 5: I think Sammy's dad texting and he said his rankings
- 13:49Speaker 5: are daughter, wife's sons.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go, there's your dad. Yeah, that's so
- 13:54Speaker 1: nice that he's listening.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Samuel at uh texts coming over.
- 14:02Speaker 1: We were discussing a couple of things. Who gets the
- 14:04Speaker 1: front seat. There was that battle between this mom and
- 14:08Speaker 1: her son's girlfriend. They were getting in the car and
- 14:11Speaker 1: they got into an argument about who got this set
- 14:13Speaker 1: up front?
- 14:14Speaker 4: That important.
- 14:14Speaker 1: We discussed that, we got everybody's take on that, and
- 14:17Speaker 1: then it reminds me I had this other question. It's
- 14:20Speaker 1: been staring at me for the last it's been on
- 14:22Speaker 1: a piece of paper here in the studio for the
- 14:23Speaker 1: last few weeks. All right, fellas, who are married and
- 14:28Speaker 1: have a daughter? Your mom, your wife, your daughter? Who
- 14:33Speaker 1: comes first in your life? And we kind of all,
- 14:36Speaker 1: you know, broke it down, and I finally came of
