  Think before you leap. Some mistakes happen because we
• 0:14
  move too quickly. We trust too fast, react too
• 0:18
  fast, believe too fast, or speak too fast.
• 0:21
  Proverbs chapter 14 verse 15 says the simple believes
• 0:25
  everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps.
• 0:29
  That is such an important word for the world we live in.
• 0:33
  We are constantly surrounded by noise, opinions, reactions,
• 0:36
  headlines, gossip, and pressure. Everything tells us to respond
• 0:40
  immediately, but wisdom often sounds like slowing down.
• 0:45
  The writer of Psalm 43 verse 5 says why are you cast down?
• 0:49
  Oh my soul, hope in God. That tells us something else
• 0:52
  important. Not every emotion should be
• 0:55
  obeyed. Feelings are real, but they are
• 0:58
  not always reliable guides. Sometimes the wisest thing you
• 1:02
  can do is pause long enough to let truth speak louder than
• 1:05
  emotion. Then in Mark chapter 14 verse
• 1:08
  22, Jesus shares bread with his disciples and says, take, This
• 1:12
  is my body. In the middle of betrayal,
• 1:15
  confusion, and coming sorrow, Jesus gives them something
• 1:19
  steady and sacred to hold onto. He anchors them in himself.
• 1:24
  That is what we need too. In a noisy and impulsive world,
• 1:28
  Jesus is our center. He keeps us grounded.
• 1:31
  Thinking before you leap is not fear, it is wisdom.
• 1:35
  It means asking, Is this true? Is this loving?
• 1:37
  Is this necessary? Is this from God?
• 1:40
  It means not letting a rumor become your belief, a mood
• 1:44
  become your direction, or a moment become a decision you
• 1:47
  regret later. Maybe you are facing something
• 1:49
  right now that tempts you to rush a response, a relationship,
• 1:54
  a choice, a strong emotion. Pause and bring it before God.
• 1:58
  Wisdom is not weakness. Reflection is not hesitation.
• 2:02
  Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is slow down
• 2:05
  enough to hear the Lord clearly. When your heart feels noisy,
• 2:09
  stay close to Jesus. His truth gives you solid ground
• 2:12
  under your feet. Let's pray.
• 2:15
  Heavenly Father, thank you for being my source of truth and
• 2:18
  stability. Help me slow down when I am
• 2:21
  tempted to react without wisdom. Teach me to think carefully,
• 2:25
  test what I hear, and let Your Word guide my steps.

  When my emotions feel strong and life feels noisy, anchor me in
• 2:32
  Jesus and fill me with peace, discernment and self-control in
• 2:36
  Jesus name, Amen. What if you could rise up and

  declare with full spiritual authority, I shall not die, but
• 2:47

  While he was at Bethany, in the House of Simon the Leper, as he

  sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster jar of

  ointment of pure nard, very costly.

  She broke the jar and poured it over his head.

  But there were some who were indignant among themselves,

  saying, Why has this ointment been wasted?

  For this might have been sold for more than 300 denarii and
• 5:18
  given to the poor. So they grumbled against her,
• 5:21
  but Jesus said, Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her?
• 5:25
  She has done a good work for me. For you always have the poor
• 5:28
  with you, and whenever you want to you can do them good, but you
• 5:32
  will not always have me. She has done what she could.
• 5:36
  She has anointed my body beforehand for the burying.
• 5:40
  Most certainly, I tell you, wherever this good news may be
• 5:43
  preached throughout the whole world, that which this woman has
• 5:45
  done will also be spoken of for a memorial of her.

  Judas Iscariot, who was one of the 12, went away to the chief

  priests that he might deliver him to them.

  They, when they heard it, were glad and promised to give him

  His disciples asked him, Where do you want us to go and prepare

  said to them, go into the city and they're a man carrying a

  pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him and wherever he

  enters in, tell the master of the house.

  The teacher says, Where is the guest room where I may eat the
• 6:30
  Passover with my disciples? He will himself show you a large
• 6:33
  upper room, furnished and ready. Get ready for us there.

  His disciples went out and came into the city, and found things
• 6:41
  as he had said to them, and they prepared the Passover.
• 6:44
  When it was evening He came with the 12.

  As they sat and were eating, Jesus said, Most certainly I
• 6:50
  tell you, one of you will betray me, he who eats with me.
• 6:54
  They began to be sorrowful, and to ask Him 1 by 1.

  Surely not I, And another said, Surely not I.

  He answered them, It is one of the 12.

  He who dips with me in the dish. For the Son of Man goes as it is
• 7:07
  written about him. But woe to that man by whom the
• 7:10
  Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man
• 7:14
  if he had not been born. As they were eating, Jesus took

  bread, and when He had blessed it, He broke it and gave to
• 7:20
  them, and said, Take, eat, this is my body.

  He took the cup, and when He had given thanks, He gave to them.

  They all drank of it. He said to them, This is my
• 7:30
  blood of the new covenant which is poured out for many.

  Most certainly I tell you, I will no more drink of the fruit
• 7:37
  of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in God's
• 7:40
  Kingdom. When they had sung A hymn, they

  went out to the Mount of Olives. Jesus said to them, All of you

  will be made to stumble because of me tonight.

  For it is written, I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will
• 7:52
  be scattered. However, after I am raised up, I

  will go before you into Galilee. But Peter said to him, although
• 8:00
  all will be offended, yet I will not.

  Jesus said to him, most certainly I tell you that you
• 8:05
  today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you
• 8:09
  will deny me three times. But he spoke all the more.

  If I must die with you, I will not deny you.

  They all said the same thing. They came to a place which was
• 8:19
  named Gethsemane. He said to his disciples, Sit
• 8:22
  here while I pray. He took with him Peter, James,
• 8:25
  and John and began to be greatly troubled and distressed.

  He said to them, My soul is exceedingly sorrowful even to
• 8:33
  death, Stay here and watch. He went forward a little and
• 8:37
  fell on the ground and prayed that if it were possible, the
• 8:40
  hour might pass away from him. He said, ABBA, Father, all
• 8:44
  things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me,
• 8:48
  however not what I desire, but what you desire.
• 8:51
  He came and found them sleeping and said to Peter, Simon, are
• 8:54
  you sleeping? Couldn't you watch one hour?
• 8:57
  Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation.

  The Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
• 9:04
  Again he went away and prayed, saying the same words again.
• 9:08
  He returned and found them sleeping, for their eyes were
• 9:11
  very heavy and they didn't know what to answer him.
• 9:14
  He came the third time and said to them, Sleep on now and take
• 9:17
  your rest, it is enough. The hour has come.
• 9:21
  Behold, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of
• 9:23
  sinners. Arise, let's get going.
• 9:27
  Behold, he who betrays me is at hand.

  Immediately, while he was still speaking, Judas, one of the 12
• 9:33
  came, and with him a multitude with swords and clubs from the
• 9:36
  chief priests, the scribes, and the elders.
• 9:41
  Now he who betrayed him had given them a sign saying,
• 9:43
  Whomever I will kiss. That is, he sees him and lead
• 9:46
  him away safely. When he had come, immediately he
• 9:49
  came to him and said, Rabbi, rabbi, and kissed him.

  They laid their hands on him and seized him.
• 9:56
  But a certain one of those who stood by drew his sword and
• 9:59
  struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear.

  Jesus answered them, Have you come out as against a robber
• 10:07
  with swords and clubs to seize me?
• 10:09
  I was daily with you in the Temple teaching, and you didn't
• 10:12
  arrest me. But this is so that the
• 10:14
  Scriptures might be fulfilled. They all left him and fled.
• 10:18
  A certain young man followed him, having a linen cloth thrown
• 10:22
  around himself over his naked body.
• 10:25
  The young men grabbed him, but he left the linen cloth and fled
• 10:28
  from them naked. They led Jesus away to the high
• 10:31
  priest. All the chief priests, the
• 10:33
  elders and the scribes came together with him.
• 10:36
  Peter had followed him from a distance until he came into the
• 10:40
  court of the high priest. He was sitting with the officers
• 10:43
  and warming himself in the light of the fire.
• 10:46
  Now the chief priests and the whole council sought witnesses
• 10:49
  against Jesus to put him to death, and found none.
• 10:53
  For many gave false testimony against him, and their testimony
• 10:57
  didn't agree with each other. Some stood up and gave false
• 11:01
  testimony against him, saying, we heard him say, I will destroy
• 11:05
  this temple that is made with hands, and in three days I will
• 11:09
  build another made without hands.
• 11:11
  Even so, their testimony didn't agree.
• 11:14
  The high priest stood up in the middle and asked Jesus, have you
• 11:18
  no answer? What is it which these testify
• 11:20
  against you? But he stayed quiet and answered
• 11:23
  nothing. Again the high priest asked him,
• 11:26
  Are you the Christ? The Son of the blessed Jesus
• 11:28
  said, I am. You will see the Son of man
• 11:32
  sitting at the right hand of power and coming with the clouds
• 11:35
  of the sky. The high priest tore his clothes
• 11:37
  and said, What further need have we have witnesses?
• 11:41
  You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?
• 11:44
  They all condemned him to be worthy of death.
• 11:47
  Some began to spit on him and to cover his face, and to beat him
• 11:50
  with fists, and to tell him prophecy.
• 11:53
  The officers struck him with the palms of their hands.
• 11:57
  As Peter was in the courtyard below, one of the maids of the
• 12:00
  high priest came, and seeing Peter warming himself, she
• 12:03
  looked at him and said, You were also with the Nazarene Jesus.
• 12:08
  But he denied it, saying, I neither know nor understand what
• 12:11
  you are saying. He went out on the porch and the
• 12:13
  rooster crowed. The maid saw him and began again
• 12:17
  to tell those who stood by. This is one of them.
• 12:20
  But he again denied it. After a little while, again
• 12:24
  those who stood by said to Peter, You truly are one of
• 12:27
  them, for you are a Galilean, and your speech shows it.
• 12:30
  But he began to curse and to swear, I don't know this man of
• 12:34
  whom you speak. The rooster crowed the second
• 12:36
  time. Peter remembered the words that
• 12:39
  Jesus said to him before. The rooster crows twice.
• 12:42
  You will deny me three times. When he thought about that, he
• 12:46
