• 0:18
It celebrates the humble birth of the ice cream

cone at the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis when
• 0:24
an ice cream seller ran out of dishes and a waffle
• 0:27
vendor rolled his waffles into cones. That accidental
• 0:31
collaboration introduced a convenient way to
• 0:34
enjoy ice cream on the go. So now you know. And
• 0:39
now it's time for the weather report. This morning

• 1:14
cloudy skies with a low around 54 and a light
• 1:18
northeast breeze around 8 miles per hour. The
• 1:22
near shore gooey at Cape Cod Bay reads 64 degrees
• 1:26
for the water temperature. Looking ahead in the
• 1:30
weather. Wednesday will be mostly sunny, with
• 1:34
a high near 64, and a northeast wind near 15
• 1:37
miles per hour, gusting up to 29. A colder blustery
• 1:42
pattern continues into the weekend, with highs
• 1:45
mostly in the low 60s, northeast to north winds,
• 1:48
gusting into the 30s, and rain and thunderstorms
• 1:51
becoming likely from Friday night into Saturday
• 1:54
night. Bonjour, food enthusiasts! This podcast

the Rams move to 1 -1. Matthew Stafford threw

• 3:47
NFL's all -time touchdown passes list. It was
• 3:51
Los Angeles' most complete performance of the
• 3:54
young season, with the defense allowing just
• 3:56
six points. New York's night turned in the first
• 3:59
quarter when quarterback Jackson Dart left with
• 4:03
a knee injury and did not return. Jemis Winston
• 4:07
came on and never found a rhythm. The Giants
• 4:11
also lost wide receiver Malik Nabors to an injury
• 4:15
scare in the first half and linebacker Brian
• 4:18
Burns to one in the fourth quarter. New York
• 4:21
falls to 1 -1 as well, with health weighing as
• 4:24
heavily as the record. In local sports, tonight
• 4:29
it's all about Fenway, where the Red Sox open
• 4:32
a huge three game set against Cleveland at 6
• 4:36
.45, Peyton Tully squaring off with Parker Messick.
• 4:41
Austin has clinched Oktober already, but they've
• 4:44
lost 5 of 10 and scored just two runs the last
• 4:47
two games with Wilson Contreras. day -to -day.
• 4:52
Silver lining. Toley is in the mix to start Game
• 4:55
1 of the playoffs, and if he does, he'd be the
• 4:58
youngest Fox pitcher to open a series since Babe
• 5:02
Ruth in 1918. Over at Foxboro, the Patriots took
• 5:07
a real hit Sunday. Right guard Mike Onwenu broke
• 5:12
his ankle and is done for the season, with Greg
• 5:15
Van Roten stepping in. Craig Woodson Del Pettis
• 5:19
and Eli Raradon all banged up too, adding to
• 5:22
an offense already missing AJ Brown. On the ice,
• 5:27
the Bruins host Philadelphia tonight at the Garden,
• 5:30
building on Sunday's shootout win. Still no captain,
• 5:35
though. Don Sweeney says one gets named before
• 5:38
the Rangers opener, September 29th, with Pastrnak
• 5:42
and McEvoy the favorites. And Brad Stevens says
• 5:46
Jason Tatum looks fully healthy heading into
• 5:49
camp, a great sign for a retooled Celtic steam.
• 5:55
In top news, Pope Leo XIV will retrace his steps
• 5:59
as a missionary priest by returning to Peru in
• 6:03
November. This marks his longest trip to date,
• 6:06
taking him to Uruguay and Argentina, where his
• 6:09
predecessor, Pope Francis, never returned. The
• 6:13
Vatican announced the itinerary for the November
• 6:16
6th to 17th visit, which is a homecoming for
• 6:19
the U .S.-born Pontiff. He will cover just over
• 6:22
31 ,000 kilometers during the journey. In Argentina,
• 6:27
officials expect seven million people to turn
• 6:30
out during his visit, including a meeting with
• 6:33
President Javier Miley. León will also return
• 6:36
to his Diocese of Chiclayo, celebrating mass
• 6:39
at Pampas de Pimentel. where 1 million people
• 6:42
are expected. In business news, Bitcoin has hit
• 6:48
an 8 -month high and it sends a clear message
• 6:51
about risk appetite right now. Despite the lack
• 6:54
  of clarity around cryptocurrencies' regulatory
• 6:57
framework, Bitcoin continues to surge as investors
• 7:00
maintain hopes for clearer United States rules.
• 7:05
After weeks of appearing almost lost amid a stunning
• 7:08
decline this year, Bitcoin broke above $86 ,000
• 7:11
on Monday, reaching its highest level since late
• 7:15
January. This is likely a relief for cryptocurrency
• 7:18
enthusiasts, but the comeback may indicate less
• 7:21
about Bitcoin's revival and more about a market
• 7:25
-wide return of risk appetite, from technology
• 7:28
companies to meme stocks. In crypto movement,
• 7:32
Bitcoin is up 5 % to about $86 ,000. Ethereum
• 7:38
is up 2 % to about $3 ,000. And Exarpti is up
• 7:43
  6 .5 % to $1 .52. Moving on to a more local vibe.

• 8:36
Let's talk science. China's new supersonic plane
• 8:40
could travel twice as fast as sound. Earlier
• 8:43
this month, China announced its TMS -10 experimental
• 8:47
demonstrator plane has entered the final assembly
• 8:50
phase and is on schedule to conduct its first
• 8:53
test flight by the end of the year. This aircraft,
• 8:56
engineered by Kiamushin Laboratory in collaboration
• 8:59
with Behang University, marks a major step forward
• 9:03
from the prototype tested in June 2025. If successful,
• 9:08
the TMS -10 will ferry travelers at an upward
• 9:11
cruising speed of Mach 2, around 1 ,300 miles
• 9:15
per hour. This could cut the current two -hour
• 9:18
flight from Beijing to Shanghai down to only
• 9:22
30 minutes. And in entertainment news, Ben Affleck's
• 9:29
forgotten thriller, Hypnotic is currently the
• 9:32
number one movie on Hulu, outperforming major
• 9:35
hits like The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Coraline.
• 9:40
Despite grossing around $16 million against a
• 9:43
reported budget of $65 million, it holds a 32
• 9:48
% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with critiques describing
• 9:51
it as often clunky. Affleck's new directorial
• 9:56
effort Animals is set to release on Netflix on
• 9:59
October 9th. Meanwhile, director Robert Rodriguez
• 10:03
is developing new projects through his recently
• 10:06
launched company, Brass Knuckle Films. Stay tuned
• 10:10
for more updates from Collider. Well, all righty
• 10:14
folks, it's time for the quote of the day. And
• 10:18
today, our quote comes from the American naturalist
• 10:22
and essayist John Burroughs. And he said, I go
• 10:27
to nature to be soothed and healed and to have
• 10:30
my senses put in order. And that's a wrap for
• 10:34
this morning. You can check out our Instagram,
• 10:37
YouTube, and TikTok for some captivating aerial
• 10:41
