- 0:25Speaker 1: The episode is about that huge batch of UFO files
- 0:29Speaker 1: that the CIA released earlier this year. Specifically, it covers
- 0:34Speaker 1: some of the highly weird nineteen fifties UFO sightings that
- 0:39Speaker 1: are documented in those files. If you're listening for free, hey,
- 0:43Speaker 1: enjoy it. This is an episode you haven't heard before,
- 0:46Speaker 1: and don't forget. You can get bonus episodes of this
- 0:48Speaker 1: podcast when you subscribe at Patreon dot com, slash on
- 0:52Speaker 1: pops or on Popsnetwork, dot Supercast, dot Tech, or right

- 2:12Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy the Show. I'm your host,
- 2:17Speaker 1: Adam Todd Brown joining me as co host today. Who
- 2:20Speaker 1: are you?
- 2:20Speaker 2: Oh, I'm Phizzitasani. I don't know why I said oh
- 2:23Speaker 2: before like, I'm irish, surprised fizz, you know, and then
- 2:29Speaker 2: it became Italian. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. My name is
- 2:33Speaker 2: Fizzadsani physical name.
- 2:37Speaker 1: You haven't been on in a while because I went
- 2:39Speaker 1: down that big. You were on the first Jonestown episode Jonestown,
- 2:43Speaker 1: and then I did about eight more of those and
- 2:46Speaker 1: that boy was that shit dark?
- 2:48Speaker 2: I bet.
- 2:49Speaker 1: But we're back now talking about this is kind of lighthearted, right, No,
- 2:53Speaker 1: one dies. I don't think this.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Is not as heavy literally as well of technology.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Yeah, shit's go into space. You gotta be like weight
- 3:01Speaker 1: and agile.
- 3:02Speaker 2: For that propulsion technology.
- 3:05Speaker 1: We're talking about the CIA UFO files. This is the
- 3:09Speaker 1: thing I brought up on an episode of On Pops
- 3:12Speaker 1: recently that the CIA had to release a bunch of
- 3:16Speaker 1: their UFO files because of Donald Trump's last COVID stimulus
- 3:21Speaker 1: bill for some reason called for the release of all
- 3:24Speaker 1: these UFO files. And there's about twenty seven hundred files
- 3:29Speaker 1: and I haven't read them all, but I've looked at
- 3:32Speaker 1: them all, and I've put them all into folders, like
- 3:36Speaker 1: I've organized them into folders so I can just mine
- 3:41Speaker 1: them for episodes for like the next ten years. And
- 3:44Speaker 1: this is the first of those episodes. It's a bonus episode.
- 3:47Speaker 1: And we're talking about flying saucers because man, the flying
- 3:52Speaker 1: saucers in the fifties, they were everywhere.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Would you say it was the Golden Age?
- 3:56Speaker 1: I would definitely call it the Golden age if you
- 4:00Speaker 1: ashal even if you just look at these files in
- 4:02Speaker 1: the nineteen fifties, there's so much shit. And then if
- 4:05Speaker 1: I do another episode, it's going to have to be
- 4:07Speaker 1: like sixty seventies, eighties, and nineties all combined.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Well, it's a pleasure and an honor to kick off
- 4:13Speaker 2: another series with you.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yeah. I hope I don't end up doing all of
- 4:17Speaker 1: these in a row, because that always ends up getting
- 4:21Speaker 1: even though I know it's still interesting, Like researching it
- 4:24Speaker 1: after a while just gets to be tedious and I
- 4:26Speaker 1: have to change it up and talk about I don't
- 4:30Speaker 1: know that CIA child sex trafficking ring that we did
- 4:34Speaker 1: an episode about that one time.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah, light it up sometimes.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So yeah, we're going to talk on this episode about
- 4:41Speaker 1: some of the crazier UFO sightings that are in these
- 4:45Speaker 1: CIA files. And there are a lot of UFO sightings
- 4:50Speaker 1: in these files. According to these files, from nineteen forty
- 4:54Speaker 1: seven to nineteen fifty two, there were fifteen hundred reported
- 4:59Speaker 1: UFO site, which I feel like is more than we've
- 5:03Speaker 1: heard because I know about like Roswell from back then,
- 5:06Speaker 1: and I haven't heard much else. But there's a lot.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's a striking number. And that's not
- 5:11Speaker 2: like the impression history books have given us whatsoever.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And what's interesting about these files is the one thing
- 5:18Speaker 1: that almost never comes up is aliens like they're not.
- 5:23Speaker 1: It's not even suggested that these might be aliens. It's
- 5:26Speaker 1: all about Russia and whether this is Russia building these things.
- 5:31Speaker 1: It's pretty fucking weird. But uh. The first file that
- 5:35Speaker 1: caught my attention was a nineteen fifty two report from
- 5:39Speaker 1: the Deputy Director of the CIA to the Director of
- 5:43Speaker 1: the CIA regarding a visit to the Air Force Air
- 5:46Speaker 1: Technical Intelligence Center, which didn't know that existed until I
- 5:50Speaker 1: started digging into this. I wonder if that still exists.
- 5:53Speaker 1: We do have sixteen intelligence agencies in this country, so
- 5:56Speaker 1: I'm sure they're still out there getting that intelligence in sky.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it'd be interesting to I was going to do
- 6:03Speaker 2: it quick Google.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Yeah. I've thought about doing an episode of this podcast
- 6:08Speaker 1: about each individual intelligence service and trying to figure out
- 6:13Speaker 1: what they do. We learned this week that the Postal
- 6:17Speaker 1: Inspection Service is vehemently monitoring our social media use like
- 6:22Speaker 1: they have a whole team, because you know how the
- 6:25Speaker 1: post office can be impacted by our social media posts. Yeah,
- 6:30Speaker 1: so in this report, there's three different UFO sightings listed
- 6:35Speaker 1: in this There's one where Florida man, of course, reported
- 6:40Speaker 1: he was driving in West Palm Beach, Florida with four
- 6:44Speaker 1: boy Scouts, which immediately gave me creepy Jeffrey Epstein vibes.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Yeah, that's I mean that it could be a little
- 6:51Speaker 2: bit of a red red flag unless he's like a, well, well,
- 6:55Speaker 2: we'll learn a little bit more about this Florida man shortly.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I know what you're probably about to say. Unless
- 7:01Speaker 1: he was a scout master scout master.
- 7:03Speaker 2: But I've never, like, I wanted to do girl Scouts
- 7:05Speaker 2: when I was younger, and I never My mom never
- 7:07Speaker 2: put me in the brownies, So I don't know what
- 7:09Speaker 2: the hierarchy is. So I decided to.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah, well but I'm glad you Well. The thing is
- 7:14Speaker 1: they never call him that because.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Yeah, so who knows he could have literally been kidnapping
- 7:19Speaker 2: these kids. I don't there's no context given.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Yeah, they don't. I mean, this is the CIA. They
- 7:24Speaker 1: don't give a shit. They just want to know about
- 7:26Speaker 1: those UFOs. They're like, I have those kids, We don't.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Care, aren't we lucky? If they just have enough words
- 7:32Speaker 2: redacted so we can put together like sentences with subject
- 7:35Speaker 2: and predicate.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Yeah, there are some of these, even the UFO siding files,
- 7:40Speaker 1: where there will be one paragraph and then it's just
- 7:43Speaker 1: three pages of redactions. It's like, what is in there?
- 7:48Speaker 1: That's what I want to know.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I don't want to know the good shit.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Yeah, it kind of makes me wonder if the sightings
- 7:55Speaker 1: that are redacted are sightings of shit we were work
- 8:00Speaker 1: looking on at the time, whereas the other ones are
- 8:03Speaker 1: just like, yeah, who knows, wasn't us, but yeah. This guy,
- 8:06Speaker 1: he's driving through West Palm Beach, Florida with four boy.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Scouts, a nice even number.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't. I don't know where they were going,
- 8:13Speaker 1: but they while they're driving, they see a strange light
- 8:17Speaker 1: coming out of the woods, just off the side of
- 8:20Speaker 1: the road, and this man pulls over and goes in
- 8:22Speaker 1: to investigate, which right there, that's some white person in
- 8:26Speaker 1: a horror movie. Shit Like you, I would. I would
- 8:29Speaker 1: just kind of drive by and be like, oh, do
- 8:31Speaker 1: you see that weird light? Probably something I don't have
- 8:34Speaker 1: any business checking out.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, especially if you have the welfare of four
- 8:38Speaker 2: boy Scouts in your hands, Like you don't pull over
- 8:43Speaker 2: on the side of the Florida Highway and.
- 8:45Speaker 1: You're in a remote part of Florida. I shit you not.
- 8:48Speaker 1: My first thought would be, oh, someone's burying a body
- 8:50Speaker 1: over there. I better keep it moving.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, like in Florida, when you see something
- 8:56Speaker 2: like that, it's called someone else's business. Yeah, people would yeah,
- 9:01Speaker 2: like I think, but who knows. This was a different
- 9:02Speaker 2: time maybe, Yeah, you know, people were more neighborly.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Lights were still new back then, Like, oh, look at
- 9:09Speaker 1: the color of that one.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I mean, and it was Florida, you know, like shout
- 9:12Speaker 2: out to anyone who lived in Florida for Central Air.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Was this guy not worried about gators going in
- 9:18Speaker 1: that fucking Florida jungle?
- 9:20Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the real thing, by the way, mm hmm.
- 9:23Speaker 2: People get snatched up by those gators. It's who not
- 9:26Speaker 2: a it was?
- 9:28Speaker 1: How crazy would it had been if he ran over
- 9:30Speaker 1: there and it was just gators using light to lure
- 9:32Speaker 1: people in? Oh yeah, how do'd you set that up
- 9:35Speaker 1: with your little arms? Gaters? So he goes in to
- 9:39Speaker 1: get even touched their mouth, but they're still smoking. They're
- 9:43Speaker 1: cool gators. Yeah. So he goes in to investigate this
- 9:47Speaker 1: light and fails to return after a few minutes. So
- 9:51Speaker 1: the boy scouts being boy scouts, they do their duty
- 9:54Speaker 1: and go in after him. But before they could get there,
- 9:57Speaker 1: he comes stumbling out of the woods with burns on
- 10:00Speaker 1: his forearms, and what he claimed happened is that he'd
- 10:03Speaker 1: seen a large circular object about eight feet over his head,
- 10:08Speaker 1: which released a fireball that descended on him, at which
- 10:12Speaker 1: point he blacked out briefly. And there were samples of
- 10:16Speaker 1: the grass taken from the area, and they differed strangely
- 10:20Speaker 1: in appearance from samples nearby. But the report also mentions
- 10:24Speaker 1: that the source of this claim had quote an unsavory
- 10:28Speaker 1: personal reputation and criminal report end quote, leading them to
- 10:33Speaker 1: think it was maybe a hoax, even though they couldn't
- 10:35Speaker 1: explain the weird grass samples. I wouldn't be able to
- 10:38Speaker 1: explain why he only got burned on his forearms.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it was a fireball. And then also,
- 10:44Speaker 2: I mean it could be that the large circular object
- 10:48Speaker 2: was a humongous cigarette because the arms were so short
- 10:50Speaker 2: for the alligators, that he's a really big cigarette to
- 10:53Speaker 2: get it to their mouth, and maybe they just like
- 10:55Speaker 2: were like, man, why are you spoiling our buzz? And
- 10:57Speaker 2: he burned them fucking gay partying over there, alien gator. No,
- 11:03Speaker 2: that's that is strange. It's it's weird.
- 11:05Speaker 1: It's only the only thing I can think of is
- 11:08Speaker 1: if he looked up and I'm sure everyone listening can
- 11:11Speaker 1: see me doing this too, and when he saw the fireball,
- 11:15Speaker 1: did like a defensive Oh yeah.
- 11:17Speaker 2: So a defensive place where he uses foe arms to
- 11:20Speaker 2: block his face or right, that makes sense.
- 11:24Speaker 1: And they said the grass was disturbed, So that's that's weird.
- 11:28Speaker 1: But I mean, the grass is something you could fake.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Like it would take a little effort, but you could
- 11:34Speaker 1: probably fake that. But who knows. The government certainly didn't
- 11:37Speaker 1: seem that concerned about this report.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Yeah, and again it's just like this dude. They you know,
- 11:44Speaker 2: they're like, well, we're not going to take this claim seriously.
- 11:46Speaker 2: But did we follow up with the Boy Scouts?
- 11:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean well they just saw the aftermath though.
- 11:53Speaker 1: They just saw the guy come out, but I'm assuming
- 11:56Speaker 1: they saw the light too. That would have been an
- 11:58Speaker 1: elaborate hoax if he's set that light up ahead of time.
- 12:01Speaker 2: I'm referring to the well being of the of the
- 12:03Speaker 2: Boy Scouts.
- 12:05Speaker 1: They got eaten by the gators.
- 12:06Speaker 2: See, they shouldn't have. Don't pull over for everything. Now,
- 12:11Speaker 2: So this man came to the CIA and brought the
- 12:15Speaker 2: story into the CIA document. The burns on his arm
- 12:18Speaker 2: or was this you know, did he bring the grass
- 12:20Speaker 2: sample or did he bring the CIA to the location.
- 12:23Speaker 1: How many details are included in a lot of these,
- 12:26Speaker 1: There's not many details. I've usually pulled out most of
- 12:30Speaker 1: the interesting stuff. Yeah, and they, yeah, they don't say
- 12:33Speaker 1: anything about that. The fact that they did the grass samples.
- 12:38Speaker 1: I don't know if that means they did it or
- 12:40Speaker 1: if just local authorities were like, oh, look at the grass,
- 12:42Speaker 1: it looks different. It did say they couldn't account for
- 12:45Speaker 1: the difference in the grass in the surrounding area compared
- 12:49Speaker 1: to those samples, so maybe they they thought he might
- 12:53Speaker 1: have seen something real. But yeah, that's one thing you
- 12:56Speaker 1: don't get in any of these files is the CIA's movements.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Like there's one of the reports we're going to talk
- 13:04Speaker 1: about at the end, every name, location, everything is redacted.
- 13:09Speaker 1: You get the details, but you don't really know when
- 13:12Speaker 1: it's happening, where it's happening, who it's happening too. So yeah,
- 13:16Speaker 1: there's there's not a lot of that. When there is,
- 13:19Speaker 1: it's fascinating, Like there's there are things we'll get to
- 13:22Speaker 1: on I think I'm going to do an episode just
- 13:24Speaker 1: about all the files about them watching people and that
- 13:27Speaker 1: shit's really interesting because then you pick up on some
- 13:30Speaker 1: of their tricks and shit.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:32Speaker 1: But yeah, in these it's the ones we're talking about
- 13:36Speaker 1: today are the ones that have the most detail. There's
- 13:39Speaker 1: a few more. We might do a second part of
- 13:41Speaker 1: the nineteen fifties one, but this in this report, there's
- 13:45Speaker 1: a second sighting that I won't go into detail about
- 13:49Speaker 1: because the conclusion was that they were just seeing Jupiter
- 13:52Speaker 1: because just Jupiter was visible at the time.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Well that's so strange because it was described as a
- 13:58Speaker 2: circular orange object with four green lights nearby.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Oh yeah, see, if you just google how many moons
- 14:06Speaker 1: of Jupiter, the first picture that comes up, it's like
- 14:09Speaker 1: an orange orb, but you do see three or four
- 14:13Speaker 1: green orbs around it that are four of the moons.
- 14:18Speaker 1: So yeah, these dipshits, who I believe were in the Navy,
- 14:20Speaker 1: were just seeing Jupiter and they were like, oh, spacecraft.
- 14:26Speaker 2: And it's notably large too.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Yeah, so you would have been able to see Jupiter
- 14:30Speaker 1: even probably with the naked eye at some points. But
- 14:34Speaker 1: this third sighting that's in these files is really interesting.
- 14:38Speaker 1: It happened in Tremington, Utah, on July second, nineteen fifty
- 14:44Speaker 1: two and if you google this there's you can even
- 14:46Speaker 1: find the video. You can find an old timey government
- 14:50Speaker 1: like the government used to do this thing where they
- 14:52Speaker 1: would like reenact events and make them news clips that
- 14:56Speaker 1: would go in like that would play before movies and shit.
- 14:59Speaker 1: And there's a weird thing like that about this UFO incident.
- 15:03Speaker 1: But other than that, this isn't a really famous one
- 15:07Speaker 1: that has been written about a lot. And the report
- 15:10Speaker 1: describes the person who filmed this video, who is named
- 15:14Speaker 1: Delbert Newhouse. And in this video there are ten objects
- 15:20Speaker 1: that appear to be milling about, it says in the report,
- 15:24Speaker 1: traveling in a westerly direction in the sky. And at
- 15:28Speaker 1: one point one object separates from the rest and reversus
- 15:32Speaker 1: course and flies across the sky. And the report also
- 15:36Speaker 1: includes these conclusions from an investigator of the film done
- 15:41Speaker 1: by the Air Technical Intelligence Center. There they are again
- 15:44Speaker 1: ten objects, all alike in movement and size, decidedly improbable
- 15:49Speaker 1: that they are birds or balloons. Exact nature cannot be determined.
- 15:53Speaker 1: It would probably be extremely difficult to imitate this photography
- 15:58Speaker 1: for fraudulent purposes. Imitate the right word there, wouldn't it
- 16:01Speaker 1: be like manipulate or something like that.
- 16:04Speaker 2: I don't know, yeah, because imitate would be making a
- 16:07Speaker 2: copy of something real.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, So I think they might have used incorrect
- 16:12Speaker 1: wording there, but you get what they're saying. It would
- 16:15Speaker 1: be hard to fake this video.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Yeah, huh okay.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I mean it's nineteen fifty two at home camera technology.
- 16:21Speaker 1: So you hear like flapping noises in the background, and
- 16:25Speaker 1: it's not super clear, but you can see it. You
- 16:27Speaker 1: can see the ten objects they're talking about, and they
- 16:30Speaker 1: are all moving in unison, and then one of them
- 16:33Speaker 1: just fucking takes off in a different direction really fast.
- 16:37Speaker 1: It's strange. It almost looks like the Phoenix lights if
- 16:42Speaker 1: you're familiar with that, which the Phoenix lights. If you
- 16:44Speaker 1: look at them now, they just look like drones. But
- 16:46Speaker 1: they were doing the same thing. That was a nineteen
- 16:49Speaker 1: ninety seven UFO incident that was first reported by Kurt Russell,
- 16:53Speaker 1: a noted pilot. Kurt Russell, he was flying his son
- 16:57Speaker 1: to go visit his girlfriend, Like, what a fucking cool dad,
- 17:01Speaker 1: and then he spots a UFO. Rich people have the
- 17:04Speaker 1: best fucking lives. Man. Uh. There's another incident in these
- 17:11Speaker 1: files that happened October twenty ninth, nineteen fifty two. Nineteen
- 17:15Speaker 1: fifty two was a hot year. Yeah, in terms of
- 17:17Speaker 1: UFOs that whoever built these, I feel like that's the
- 17:22Speaker 1: year they really got it down and started mass producing them,
- 17:26Speaker 1: because yeah.
- 17:27Speaker 2: They're just people are finding them all over the place.
- 17:30Speaker 1: They really are. They're everywhere, and they're like, this is
- 17:33Speaker 1: just a fraction of the reported sightings from these files.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Well link to where you can see all these files.
- 17:40Speaker 1: They're on a site called the Black Vault, which just
- 17:43Speaker 1: compiles FBI and CIA documents into a readable form. So
- 17:49Speaker 1: thanks to them for doing that, because that's where I
- 17:52Speaker 1: got all these files from.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Question. Yes, we're flying saucers in the zeitgeist at the time, Yeah.
- 17:58Speaker 1: They had already started being written about in science fiction
- 18:03Speaker 1: and things like that. It was definitely a thing that
- 18:07Speaker 1: was in the public consciousness at the time. And that
- 18:11Speaker 1: does come up a lot in this that there are
- 18:15Speaker 1: a lot of people writing on this subject. One of
- 18:18Speaker 1: the people that ends up getting kind of followed the most,
- 18:22Speaker 1: or that gets the most attention from them is a
- 18:25Speaker 1: guy named Major Daniel Keiho who was in the Marines,
- 18:31Speaker 1: and he had this theory that the CIA was going
- 18:35Speaker 1: around and threatening people into not talking about UFOs, which
- 18:40Speaker 1: that doesn't sound like the government at all. But he
- 18:43Speaker 1: for years before that was a science fiction writer also,
- 18:47Speaker 1: and he wrote about UFOs a lot, so that comes
- 18:50Speaker 1: up a lot in his file where they're like this guy,
- 18:52Speaker 1: he's a sensationalist, Like yeah, but he's just saying you
- 18:55Speaker 1: intimidate witnesses, which you probably do. So this is one
- 18:59Speaker 1: that happened October twenty ninth, nineteen fifty two, Tarn, France.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Ever been I haven't, personally, I have not either.
- 19:08Speaker 1: This incident, around one hundred people all report seeing the
- 19:12Speaker 1: same thing. They report witnessing a flying saucer formation around
- 19:17Speaker 1: sixteen crafts which revolved and gave off a bluish light
- 19:22Speaker 1: at the sides. That's an important detail because it comes
- 19:25Speaker 1: up again in another report. Yeah, and they also reported
- 19:29Speaker 1: an elongated cylinder in the center of the saucer formation.
- 19:33Speaker 2: The weirdest part of the report is that all the
- 19:36Speaker 2: objects were said to have discharge shining whiteish particles which
- 19:40Speaker 2: looked like glass wool and accumulated on tree branches and
- 19:44Speaker 2: telegraph wires. Many of the persons said that they've been
- 19:48Speaker 2: able to gather clusters of such particles, but that these
- 19:51Speaker 2: had quickly disintegrated, making it impossible to have them analyzed
- 19:55Speaker 2: later in a lab.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Yeah, that's literally the only reason this one is the notes. Well, no,
- 20:01Speaker 1: because that description matches a description that we hear in
- 20:05Speaker 1: a couple other reports. But that white particles thing, I
- 20:09Speaker 1: have never heard that in any UFO sighting report. Ever,
- 20:14Speaker 1: it's nowhere else in these files, and it's like I've
- 20:17Speaker 1: never heard it just generally, so that one's weird. Those
- 20:20Speaker 1: people are all aliens. Now, that'd be cool if you
- 20:28Speaker 1: picked it up and turned into an alien, but only
- 20:31Speaker 1: if it turned you into an alien that can survive
- 20:34Speaker 1: our atmosphere.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Obviously, so they absorbed the glass wool, well, not the
- 20:38Speaker 2: real glass. I wasn't really glass wool.
- 20:40Speaker 1: But there's probably just that stuff that's in the packets
- 20:43Speaker 1: that says do not eat buy a pair of shoes, which,
- 20:47Speaker 1: by the way, you know what happens if you eat that?
- 20:49Speaker 1: I don't nothing, nothing at all. Have you tried, No,
- 20:52Speaker 1: But I read a very lengthy article about it, like
- 20:55Speaker 1: you shouldn't eat it, and you wouldn't. Definitely wouldn't want
- 20:57Speaker 1: to eat a lot of it if you do. But yeah,
- 21:00Speaker 1: it's not going to kill you. It probably wouldn't even
- 21:01Speaker 1: kill your pets.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Yeah, so they're just saying like it's not made for consumption.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever happens after that is on you, because it
- 21:11Speaker 1: sure does have like a salt packet kind of a
- 21:13Speaker 1: sthetic to it. Oh yeah, so I could see people
- 21:17Speaker 1: mistaking it for a salt packet back in the day
- 21:19Speaker 1: is when people had salt packets in their home. I
- 21:21Speaker 1: don't know if that ever happened. It's restaurants shit. Anyway,
- 21:25Speaker 1: that was a worthy deviation. But let's get back to
- 21:29Speaker 1: UFO's July nineteen fifty two Berlin man in metallic clothing
- 21:34Speaker 1: again nineteen fifty two. This is a weird one. It
- 21:38Speaker 1: happened in Berlin. A man and his daughter were driving
- 21:41Speaker 1: home when he blew a tire on his motorcycle and
- 21:44Speaker 1: he stops to pull over and fix it, and the
- 21:47Speaker 1: daughter notices something laying in the road up ahead of them,
- 21:50Speaker 1: so he assumes it's a deer and he goes to investigate,
- 21:54Speaker 1: and instead of a deer, he claims he saw two
- 21:57Speaker 1: men dressed in shiny metallic clothes, stooped over and looking
- 22:02Speaker 1: at something lying on the ground.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Ooh, stylish, right, I want to.
- 22:07Speaker 1: See those suits and flexible. And as he got closer,
- 22:11Speaker 1: he saw quote a large object whose diameter I estimated
- 22:16Speaker 1: to be between thirteen and fifteen meters. It looked like
- 22:19Speaker 1: a huge frying pan. There were rows. There were two
- 22:23Speaker 1: rows of holes on its periphery, about thirty centimeters in circumference.
- 22:28Speaker 1: The space between the two rows was about zero point
- 22:31Speaker 1: four to five meters. On the top of this metal
- 22:34Speaker 1: object was a black conical tower about three meters high.
- 22:38Speaker 1: That sounds cool, and it does. I would drive the
- 22:41Speaker 1: shit out of that. And he said that. As he
- 22:44Speaker 1: was looking at all this, his daughter approached from behind
- 22:47Speaker 1: and called out to him, at which point the men
- 22:49Speaker 1: in metallic clothing scrambled to jump in the object that
- 22:53Speaker 1: the man described. It then started glowing green before taking
- 22:58Speaker 1: off into the sky, launching vertically. And I, uh, because
- 23:03Speaker 1: I'm great at this, I actually left a very important
- 23:06Speaker 1: detail out before it took off into the sky. It
- 23:09Speaker 1: glowed green at first, and then it was glowing blue
- 23:12Speaker 1: as it took off, Oh, into the sky, just like
- 23:15Speaker 1: that report not too long ago.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Yeah, so it looked like a frying pan. They jumped
- 23:20Speaker 2: into a frying pan. So there was no roof on
- 23:22Speaker 2: this object.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Yeah, See, frying pan doesn't sound accurate because you're right,
- 23:27Speaker 1: if it had that conical tower at the top, then
- 23:30Speaker 1: that had to be sitting on something. So yeah, I mean,
- 23:34Speaker 1: couldn't he just say round, like, because now I am
- 23:37Speaker 1: kind of picturing just an actual giant frying pan with
- 23:40Speaker 1: a handle on it, And that would be funny if
- 23:43Speaker 1: this was just.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Like a a carnival ride.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Yeah, put together a piece of shit, but from space.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean at first I was like, well, how
- 23:50Speaker 2: does it look like a deer? And how do they
- 23:52Speaker 2: get into this vehicle if it's like flat, you know,
- 23:56Speaker 2: like if it's like a pan, if it's flat with
- 23:58Speaker 2: the you know, like the call thing in the middle,
- 24:01Speaker 2: Like yeah, is it like an open Is it like
- 24:03Speaker 2: a like a jeep version of a UFO where it's
- 24:06Speaker 2: just open and airy? Yeah?
- 24:09Speaker 1: I believe he said the sides opened up in a
- 24:13Speaker 1: way that the dudes could get.
- 24:16Speaker 2: In there, so maybe they could they can package their
- 24:18Speaker 2: vehicles like and they don't have any issue parking aliens.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Right right? Yeah, that was the part I didn't get
- 24:25Speaker 1: because he mentions like, yeah, the I don't know how
- 24:30Speaker 1: he mistook any of this for a deer, because two
- 24:34Speaker 1: men in shiny metallic suits, I would definitely not assume
- 24:38Speaker 1: was a dead deer in the road. And when he
- 24:40Speaker 1: describes seeing this craft, he says, he peeked over a
- 24:44Speaker 1: fence and saw it. So, now, where was that fence? Yeah,
- 24:48Speaker 1: like that fence wasn't in the middle of the road,
- 24:50Speaker 1: was it? Like that would be That would be way
- 24:52Speaker 1: more alarming to me than a deer. Someone just put
- 24:55Speaker 1: up a fence in the middle of the road. It's like,
- 24:57Speaker 1: I'm driving through.
- 24:58Speaker 2: It, but the road ends here.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Sorry. Yeah, it's a weird sighting. And it seems like
- 25:05Speaker 1: they didn't completely trust him, but they were also like,
- 25:08Speaker 1: why would he lie? Like he doesn't. There's not really
- 25:11Speaker 1: any motive formed a lie. And the report also mentions
- 25:15Speaker 1: though that other people in the area did report seeing
- 25:18Speaker 1: something that many of them described as quote a comet
- 25:22Speaker 1: moving away from the earth at the same time, so
- 25:25Speaker 1: that would probably fit the description of a UFO a comet.
- 25:29Speaker 2: The description is different. It's interesting, like, you know, if
- 25:33Speaker 2: let's say this vehicle is parked, this flying object is
- 25:36Speaker 2: park Yeah, maybe it does look like a frying pan,
- 25:38Speaker 2: And who knows what kind of technology there is where
- 25:41Speaker 2: you know it in the air. It's a full spacecraft. Yeah,
- 25:47Speaker 2: and it would have more of a like a comet appearance.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Frying Pans do have lids, though, so maybe he meant
- 25:54Speaker 1: it looked like a frying pan with a lid on it.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Good, Yeah, I know there is.
- 26:02Speaker 1: There is a really interesting quote from the man who
- 26:05Speaker 1: witnessed this in the report. Here goes the quote. I
- 26:08Speaker 1: had never heard of the term flying saucer before I
- 26:11Speaker 1: escaped from the Soviet zone into West Berlin. When I
- 26:15Speaker 1: saw this object, I immediately thought that it was a
- 26:18Speaker 1: new Soviet military machine. I confess that I was seized
- 26:22Speaker 1: with fright. Because the Soviets do not want anyone to
- 26:25Speaker 1: know about their work. Many persons have been restricted to
- 26:29Speaker 1: their movements for many years in East Germany because they
- 26:32Speaker 1: know too much. Now here's what's interesting about that to me.
- 26:38Speaker 1: One of the things we'll get into in a later episode,
- 26:41Speaker 1: and we've touched on it on this podcast before, is
- 26:44Speaker 1: this theory called Project Bluebeam. That theory claims that at
- 26:50Speaker 1: some point the United States is going to basically fake
- 26:54Speaker 1: an alien invasion as a means of taking over the
- 26:58Speaker 1: world and ushering in a one world government. And one
- 27:02Speaker 1: of the people that the CIA is the most interested
- 27:05Speaker 1: in in these files is a guy named doctor Leon Davidson.
- 27:08Speaker 1: And Leon Davidson's theory was that the CIA was faking
- 27:12Speaker 1: all of this for that same reason, because they were
- 27:15Speaker 1: going to use UFOs to basically suppress rights of people
- 27:20Speaker 1: in the United States and abroad, of course, and I
- 27:23Speaker 1: got to kind of wonder if that's why there's so
- 27:25Speaker 1: many sightings in like fifty two, fifty three, and fifty four,
- 27:29Speaker 1: because what if the CIA was faking this shit.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Oh, like they were trying to bring it on earlier.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, well, on the next episode we talk
- 27:37Speaker 1: about how they were planning to use it for psychological warfare.
- 27:41Speaker 1: But there's it is strange that there's this huge proliferation
- 27:47Speaker 1: of UFOs right around the same time the CIA starts deciding,
- 27:52Speaker 1: I wonder if we could fake those and use them
- 27:56Speaker 1: for our own means, And they sure make a point
- 27:59Speaker 1: of documenting damn near every sighting from that point on,
- 28:03Speaker 1: and it was it was definitely it's definitely like the
- 28:05Speaker 1: United States in general to pin something on the Soviet Union,
- 28:10Speaker 1: which it was to make it go down smoother with
- 28:13Speaker 1: the public, especially back then, so.
- 28:15Speaker 2: It was it was propaganda with the production budget kinda.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that's that's a lot of this country.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it's interesting because around the time, was there a
- 28:26Speaker 2: lot of fear around UFOs. Well, I know there's definitely
- 28:29Speaker 2: fear about about the Soviet Union because the US government
- 28:34Speaker 2: wouldn't have it any other way at the time.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I think there was because Roswell happened
- 28:40Speaker 1: in forty seven and that really kicked things off because
- 28:44Speaker 1: that when Roswell was first reported, they were like, we
- 28:48Speaker 1: found a fucking UFO and there were aliens in it.
- 28:50Speaker 1: And then like three days later the government was like, no,
- 28:53Speaker 1: it was it was a weather balloon. It's like with
- 28:55Speaker 1: aliens in it, why were they in there? So these
- 28:58Speaker 1: reports had started out, and a lot of the reports
- 29:02Speaker 1: in these files are news reports from other countries, especially
- 29:07Speaker 1: in the earlier ones and also the nineties. In the nineties,
- 29:11Speaker 1: I think being in the CIA just meant you watched
- 29:13Speaker 1: foreign television and write down anything interesting that happens, because
- 29:18Speaker 1: that's what most of the files are in the nineties,
- 29:20Speaker 1: and that would have been great TV reviews. Yeah, I
- 29:23Speaker 1: would have loved fucking recapping al Jazeera for the CIA,
- 29:28Speaker 1: sure or whatever. That would be such an easy job.
- 29:32Speaker 1: I'd rather do someone other than Al Jazeera, like I
- 29:35Speaker 1: would watch one America news network, yeah, and document it
- 29:38Speaker 1: for the CIA. But they probably started that too. This
- 29:42Speaker 1: next file is one of my favorites. It doesn't pertain
- 29:47Speaker 1: to an actual UFO sighting it is. It's a dated
- 29:51Speaker 1: November nineteen fifty five, and it's a letter from an
- 29:56Speaker 1: unidentified probably a CIA asset in Belgian Congo, and he's
- 30:02Speaker 1: asking if he can buy this certain type of telescope
- 30:06Speaker 1: that I don't know, maybe the American government only had
- 30:08Speaker 1: access to at the time. But he seems to be
- 30:12Speaker 1: under the assumption that this telescope is the key to
- 30:15Speaker 1: seeing these UFOs for yourself. And it is some sassy
- 30:21Speaker 1: let me speak to your manager shit and I love it.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Here is These are the two paragraphs from the letter
- 30:27Speaker 1: that are in the file. As you Americans do not
- 30:30Speaker 1: want to tell us what the so stupidly called flying
- 30:35Speaker 1: saucers are and above all what they want, and this
- 30:38Speaker 1: may be very important in the future. I need your
- 30:41Speaker 1: excellent telescope for myself in my observation group, which I
- 30:45Speaker 1: am just starting. The UFOs are coming more and more
- 30:48Speaker 1: over this country, and owing perhaps to the very nature
- 30:52Speaker 1: of this land and it's beautiful nights, we hear look
- 30:56Speaker 1: more often in the sky than the busy Americans shots fired.
- 31:01Speaker 1: He is salty a f but he also seems like
- 31:05Speaker 1: he still thinks he's gonna get this telescope, like he
- 31:08Speaker 1: can talk to the CIA, however the fuck he wants.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Because this is the last paragraph when telling me the prices,
- 31:14Speaker 1: please remember that the packing must be almost armor plated,
- 31:18Speaker 1: because otherwise the local vandals may destroy the telescope even
- 31:22Speaker 1: before it reaches me.
- 31:23Speaker 2: I wonder how the CIA took took it like someone
- 31:26Speaker 2: telling them how to do their job.
- 31:28Speaker 1: What if this was like that last part was just
- 31:31Speaker 1: in the delivery instructions box.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Yeah, delivery notes.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Delivery notes. Rebels won't let aid through to my country,
- 31:41Speaker 1: But you know what.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Like these are valid. Like do you know how many
- 31:44Speaker 2: packages ups packages I have stolen from our lobby?
- 31:48Speaker 1: Oh yeah, no, I don't steal them.
- 31:49Speaker 2: I'm saying my packages that have been have been stolen.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Oh my god. Yeah, you gotta you gotta think about
- 31:57Speaker 2: these things.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Yeah. And if you're a CI asset, which this guy
- 32:02Speaker 1: had to be, because the CIA got this letter. But
- 32:06Speaker 1: also it says in the beginning that they received this
- 32:09Speaker 1: letter at and then it's redacted, so you don't know
- 32:12Speaker 1: exactly where he sent it. But if you were any
- 32:14Speaker 1: kind of government asset in Belgian Congo and you're just
- 32:18Speaker 1: seeing UFOs every fucking night, and you ask the CIA
- 32:22Speaker 1: and they're like, we can't tell you what that's about. Like,
- 32:25Speaker 1: it'd be one thing if they were like, we don't
- 32:27Speaker 1: know either man, but they're like, we we can't tell you.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Of course you're gonna want to be like, fine, I'll
- 32:32Speaker 1: figure it out myself. As if it's that easy.
- 32:35Speaker 2: It's like, just send me your best equipment, because you
- 32:37Speaker 2: guys are wasting your time with your technology.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Will you build me an observatory please?
- 32:43Speaker 2: I'll expect it tomorrow.
- 32:45Speaker 1: I hope that guy got that telescope. You do too.
- 32:48Speaker 2: He's kind of the underdog, little entitled but you know
- 32:52Speaker 2: it's a CIA, so they can they can handle some SaaS.
- 32:56Speaker 1: That'd be bummed if he didn't get it. Another file
- 33:00Speaker 1: that's in there, this one I don't remember the date.
- 33:04Speaker 1: I think it's nineteen fifty eight though, And this is
- 33:09Speaker 1: it doesn't deal directly with a UFO sighting. It's just
- 33:12Speaker 1: a creepy letter about a guy who took some photos
- 33:15Speaker 1: of a UFO. And one of the things that's creepy
- 33:18Speaker 1: about it is it's just blatantly the CIA spying on
- 33:22Speaker 1: American citizens. At one point, they're even like, hey, we
- 33:26Speaker 1: already have somewhat of a file on this guy because
- 33:28Speaker 1: we're spying on his friend in the process of something else.
- 33:31Speaker 1: But we know that this is them spying on an
- 33:35Speaker 1: average citizen because the report begins with, quote, it has
- 33:39Speaker 1: come to my attention that a civilian has been experimenting
- 33:42Speaker 1: with new kinds of films and emulsions, which he has
- 33:45Speaker 1: been exposing through a telescope set up in his backyard
- 33:49Speaker 1: here in Washington end quote. And also for some reason,
- 33:52Speaker 1: there are a bunch of redacted words between civilian and
- 33:57Speaker 1: has been. So the sentence reads it has come to
- 34:02Speaker 1: my attention that a civilian and then it looks like
- 34:05Speaker 1: maybe five or six words are redacted, and then it
- 34:08Speaker 1: says has been so I'm assuming his identity, probably where
- 34:13Speaker 1: he works or something along those lines. Yeah, maybe his
- 34:17Speaker 1: name or his address. And the person writing the document
- 34:22Speaker 1: mentions that one of his men that's a quote was
- 34:25Speaker 1: at this guy's place in the course of an investigation
- 34:29Speaker 1: into some sort of photographic process. The name of what
- 34:33Speaker 1: they were investigating is also redacted. But it was some
- 34:37Speaker 1: sort of photographic process that took really good pictures of
- 34:41Speaker 1: the sky, is basically what it sounds like. And during
- 34:45Speaker 1: that investigation, this agent noticed what appeared to be a
- 34:49Speaker 1: bunch of like remarkably clear UFO photos. And this letter
- 34:55Speaker 1: is about, well, how are we going to get these
- 34:57Speaker 1: photos from this guy? And there's a sentence where it
- 35:01Speaker 1: says that he is a quote exceedingly cagey in his
- 35:06Speaker 1: handling of these materials and would not permit anyone to
- 35:10Speaker 1: borrow any of these materials end quote, and that he
- 35:14Speaker 1: quote again, appears to feel that he has some real
- 35:17Speaker 1: evidence of the existence of unidentified flying objects in his photography,
- 35:23Speaker 1: and I am sure he would consider delivering them to somebody,
- 35:26Speaker 1: only for a price yet unspecified.
- 35:30Speaker 2: You spot it, you got it.
- 35:31Speaker 1: And for some reason, it's the next sentence that creeps
- 35:34Speaker 1: me out the most. Here it goes, my copy of
- 35:37Speaker 1: this memorandum to name redacted would bring him up to
- 35:41Speaker 1: date on this subject. In case you would like to
- 35:43Speaker 1: take it up unilaterally with him. Oh wow, who is
- 35:47Speaker 1: that guy? And what's he gonna do if they take
- 35:50Speaker 1: it up unilaterally with him?
- 35:52Speaker 2: He is the cleanup guy and he does not need
- 35:54Speaker 2: anyone's permission to handle this. You know, do what you
- 35:58Speaker 2: gotta do anilateral power.
- 36:01Speaker 1: There's a documentary called Wormwood that we covered on this podcast.
- 36:05Speaker 1: It's on Netflix, and they talk in that documentary about
- 36:09Speaker 1: how there are two kinds of CIA agents. There are
- 36:12Speaker 1: the analysts who go out and get information like this,
- 36:16Speaker 1: and then there's the other guys who go out and
- 36:19Speaker 1: take care of information like this if they need to.
- 36:23Speaker 1: And the only thing no, because even then they they
- 36:28Speaker 1: say that those analysts, like if they need to contact
- 36:31Speaker 1: one of those people, they can. So the fact that
- 36:33Speaker 1: he knows this guy's name doesn't really make it any
- 36:38Speaker 1: more comforting. I don't know, it's just feel it feels
- 36:41Speaker 1: like an ominous sentence.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, unilaterally, it's like it just the implication
- 36:47Speaker 2: is do what you have to do, right, you know,
- 36:51Speaker 2: based on what the situation is. But like also describing
- 36:54Speaker 2: him as exceedingly cagey, it's like, this dude is literally
- 36:58Speaker 2: being spied on.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he's being spied on by his people. He
- 37:02Speaker 1: thinks are friends. No less because the well, I guess,
- 37:06Speaker 1: I don't know why the guy was at his place.
- 37:09Speaker 1: But yeah, also they well no, because they're also investigating
- 37:12Speaker 1: one of his friends, because they're all they're trying to
- 37:15Speaker 1: get more details and what this Like, you're the CIA,
- 37:18Speaker 1: can't you just ask what this photo process is? Like,
- 37:21Speaker 1: you're you're out here whipping up UFOs. You can't whip
- 37:24Speaker 1: up the technology to take good pictures of them, take
- 37:27Speaker 1: a fucking picture of it while it's still in the
- 37:29Speaker 1: garage before you send it up, and then just paste
- 37:31Speaker 1: that into stuff. So weird, it's a weird It is
- 37:34Speaker 1: a very weird document. And there's a lot of them
- 37:37Speaker 1: like this. There's a lot of them where they're like
- 37:39Speaker 1: just watching people relentlessly, probably all of us.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Yeah, especially with technology now.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so much easier. I hope they're enjoying this episode.
- 37:49Speaker 2: I'm sure they are. It's entertaining at the very least
- 37:52Speaker 2: for them. Maybe.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Yeah. That one of the things you see a lot
- 37:57Speaker 1: in CIA files is at some point there'll just be
- 38:00Speaker 1: like article after article after article of like whatever subject
- 38:05Speaker 1: it is. And I like to think if I have
- 38:06Speaker 1: a CIA file, it's just like an RSS feed of
- 38:10Speaker 1: all my podcasts. Like that would be my nightmare. If
- 38:13Speaker 1: I filed a Freedom of Information Act request on my
- 38:17Speaker 1: own name and they sent it to me and it
- 38:19Speaker 1: was just a list of all my podcasts, I'd be like, Oh,
- 38:21Speaker 1: come on, nothing else, you're just listening, bastards.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Give me some feedback.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Then there's one episode redacted, and I have to figure
- 38:30Speaker 1: out which one that is? What was I talking about?
- 38:34Speaker 1: So let's talk about Let's go back to nineteen fifty two.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Here comes another nineteen fifty two sighting.
- 38:40Speaker 2: This time in Norway.
- 38:41Speaker 1: In Norway, August nineteen fifty two. Interesting part about this
- 38:46Speaker 1: is this UFO crashed and there is a detailed description
- 38:51Speaker 1: of the examination of that UFO. The report claims that
- 38:55Speaker 1: a team of Norwegian and German rocket experts went to
- 38:59Speaker 1: the site of a UFO crash and discovered here's a quote,
- 39:03Speaker 1: a radio piloting transmitter with a nucleus of plutonium transmitting
- 39:09Speaker 1: on all wave links with nine hundred and thirty four hertz,
- 39:13Speaker 1: a measure that has been unknown so far. So that's weird.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:17Speaker 1: It also says the investigation showed that the saucer crashed
- 39:21Speaker 1: because of a defect in its radio piloting system and
- 39:24Speaker 1: that it was constructed from an unknown alloy. And the
- 39:28Speaker 1: last quote, which sounds a lot like they're talking about
- 39:31Speaker 1: something similar to what was spotted in that early sighting
- 39:35Speaker 1: with the sixteen ships and then one in the middle,
- 39:38Speaker 1: this is a quote. It consists of an exterior disc
- 39:42Speaker 1: provided at its peripheral with sixteen automatic jets. This disc
- 39:47Speaker 1: pivots around the central sphere which contains the measurement and
- 39:51Speaker 1: remote control equipment. But was it drop in white particles?
- 39:55Speaker 1: That's what I want to know.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Well, glass that just integrates.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Insulation sounds like stuff that in the walls of your homes.
- 40:03Speaker 2: I know something that they're gonna tell us, like, all right,
- 40:05Speaker 2: this is cancerous.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it's probably how they spread whatever disease was annihilating
- 40:10Speaker 1: us in the fifties, polio. Still I don't know when
- 40:12Speaker 1: we cured polio. Oh. Also, the last line of that
- 40:17Speaker 1: UFO examination report, the measurement instructions have an inscription in Russian.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Ooh they dropped the mic there.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Yeah they did. And again I'm like fifty to fifty
- 40:28Speaker 1: percent inclined to believe Russia was building UFOs and that
- 40:33Speaker 1: the CIA was faking UFOs, Like if you put the
- 40:36Speaker 1: if you slid the answer to me in an envelope
- 40:39Speaker 1: across the table and I opened it. Either way, I'd go, huh, yeah,
- 40:43Speaker 1: that makes sense. Either explanation would not surprise me. Because
- 40:47Speaker 1: the CIA could put a Russian inscription on something they built.
- 40:51Speaker 1: That's probably they probably would do that if it was
- 40:54Speaker 1: some kind of technology like this, Yeah, who knows. Then
- 40:59Speaker 1: there's the mystery trained sighting. This is the last one.
- 41:03Speaker 1: I love this one because this is the most secret one,
- 41:07Speaker 1: but it also has so many details to it. We
- 41:10Speaker 1: know it happened on a train, and just from the
- 41:12Speaker 1: way it's written, like compared to all the other files,
- 41:17Speaker 1: it either happened in the fifties or sixties, and I'm
- 41:19Speaker 1: leaning toward the fifties. But even the date is not specified,
- 41:23Speaker 1: and all the country names are redacted, all the names
- 41:27Speaker 1: of the people involved it has none of that. But
- 41:30Speaker 1: it also has so many rich details about what the
- 41:34Speaker 1: train looked like, how the train was laid out, some
- 41:38Speaker 1: creepy stuff about the civilians who are in the compartments
- 41:41Speaker 1: around them, like after reading that, if anyone walks up
- 41:45Speaker 1: to me in public and strikes up a conversation. I'm
- 41:47Speaker 1: gonna be like Cia, not telling you anything. My name Earl.
- 41:52Speaker 1: My name's Earl, like the TV show. Yeah, So everything's redacted,
- 41:57Speaker 1: and it's clear that who's writing this, the person this
- 42:00Speaker 1: is on some kind of espionage or detail gathering mission
- 42:05Speaker 1: somewhere they've it sounds like they have infiltrated some country
- 42:09Speaker 1: as part of a touring group. But other than that,
- 42:12Speaker 1: when I say it's detailed, I mean like fifteen pages detailed,
- 42:16Speaker 1: Like there's tons of details about the incident itself. So
- 42:20Speaker 1: at one point during they're on a train leaving somewhere
- 42:24Speaker 1: headed somewhere, although that's blacked out. And at one point
- 42:27Speaker 1: during the trip, someone runs into the compartment that the
- 42:31Speaker 1: writer of this report is in and yels, I just
- 42:33Speaker 1: saw a flying saucer, and everyone ran to that guy's cabin,
- 42:38Speaker 1: turned off the lights, and witnessed something that looked like
- 42:42Speaker 1: the end of a search light, but with no beam
- 42:45Speaker 1: coming up from the ground like you would see with
- 42:47Speaker 1: a searchlight. But then they realize it is a search
- 42:50Speaker 1: light and they can see what it's searching for, and
- 42:52Speaker 1: this is a quote, it's whirling. I then noticed an
- 42:56Speaker 1: object slightly to the right of the search light. It
- 42:59Speaker 1: had two shining eyes and seemed to be rising vertically.
- 43:02Speaker 1: It then seemed to change course and to approach the
- 43:05Speaker 1: train on more of a horizontal course, but still ascending slightly.
- 43:10Speaker 1: And what's fascinating about this not just all the secrecy,
- 43:15Speaker 1: but the thing that happens next. The porter on the
- 43:19Speaker 1: train walks into this cabin and just pulls down the
- 43:23Speaker 1: blinds and goes, it's better this way.
- 43:26Speaker 2: That's so mysous it is. It's like, what do you know?
- 43:30Speaker 1: And in the report, the guy says he gets the
- 43:33Speaker 1: sense that they were traveling through some kind of restricted
- 43:36Speaker 1: area and that this porter was supposed to pull down
- 43:40Speaker 1: the shades no matter what. And while he's doing that,
- 43:42Speaker 1: they're like fucking UFO out there. So that's weird timing.
- 43:47Speaker 1: And then you get to see all kinds of CIA
- 43:50Speaker 1: spy shit about them, like trying to figure out where
- 43:54Speaker 1: exactly they are. They're like, Okay, ask him what station
- 43:57Speaker 1: we just passed, and then ask what station we're going
- 43:59Speaker 1: to next, which is smart because then you're gonna be
- 44:02Speaker 1: able to really get narrow Yeah, what part of the
- 44:06Speaker 1: country you were in? And the porter refuses to tell
- 44:09Speaker 1: them he.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Was being cag.
- 44:12Speaker 1: He was, they're gonna have to send that guy to
- 44:15Speaker 1: deal with it unilaterate. What if that guy was already
- 44:18Speaker 1: on the train. He's just in the compartment, like, let
- 44:21Speaker 1: me give me the word, give me the words the
- 44:23Speaker 1: small community, give me the fucking word. I'll get the
- 44:25Speaker 1: names of those stations. He pulls out a fucking suitcase
- 44:28Speaker 1: with syringes and saws in it, called down Larry.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Of course it's a Larry.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I think they do eventually get the name. Well, they
- 44:38Speaker 1: get the name of the next station they went to
- 44:40Speaker 1: because they passed it or no, they stopped there. But
- 44:43Speaker 1: I don't think they ever got the name of the
- 44:45Speaker 1: previous station. But you'd be able to, yeah, you'd be
- 44:49Speaker 1: able to narrow it down. I mean, you're not gonna
- 44:53Speaker 1: go home and google it in the nineteen fifties, but
- 44:55Speaker 1: I'm sure they had resources. I think he called the
- 44:57Speaker 1: library back then. Do you ever have to do that
- 44:59Speaker 1: as a that was the internet, before there was the internet?
- 45:02Speaker 1: You call the library. What's the capital of Alabama? I
- 45:05Speaker 1: hope the librarian isn't feeling saucy that day and lies
- 45:09Speaker 1: to you.
- 45:10Speaker 2: So, yeah, I didn't call the I didn't call like
- 45:13Speaker 2: the librarian, like they were asked, Jeeves, I didn't use
- 45:17Speaker 2: the library that way. What a fool I am.
- 45:19Speaker 1: Yeah, you totally could. No library like back back then,
- 45:23Speaker 1: because you're not gonna run to the fucking library to
- 45:25Speaker 1: find out some nitpicky detail like that. Yeah, call up
- 45:29Speaker 1: the librarian, bother her with that shit. She'll whip out
- 45:32Speaker 1: her encyclopedias. So uh yeah, that's that's the last sighting
- 45:37Speaker 1: that we're talking about on this episode. There are there
- 45:40Speaker 1: are a lot more interesting ones in those files, and
- 45:43Speaker 1: I'll probably do an episode about the rest of them,
- 45:46Speaker 1: But I don't know something about the nineteen fifties and
- 45:48Speaker 1: especially the early nineteen fifties.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Nineteen fifty two, Yeah, that is.
- 45:54Speaker 1: That's the year. That's that's the that's the draft class.
- 45:58Speaker 1: That's when all the stars came out night teen fifty two.
- 46:01Speaker 1: I don't know. And also by nineteen fifty three, and
- 46:04Speaker 1: there's other reports that we're going to cover. The CIA
- 46:08Speaker 1: by nineteen fifty three is like, don't tell anyone we've
- 46:12Speaker 1: been involved in any of this. They sponsor a report
- 46:15Speaker 1: in nineteen fifty two about UFOs, and by nineteen fifty
- 46:19Speaker 1: three they're like, don't tell anyone you didn't see us.
- 46:23Speaker 1: We didn't, we don't. We just leave our name out
- 46:26Speaker 1: of it, which I also find kind of suspicious that
- 46:29Speaker 1: at first they were like, oh, this is a threat,
- 46:31Speaker 1: there's psychological warfare implications, and then they're just like, we
- 46:35Speaker 1: didn't say that. We said that, you said that, I
- 46:37Speaker 1: didn't say that. They're being cagey, we don't. Yeah, how
- 46:43Speaker 1: come the public doesn't have a guy to call when
- 46:46Speaker 1: the CIA is being cagey? I know if Visit could
- 46:48Speaker 1: take it up unilaterally with him, and then he goes
- 46:51Speaker 1: and gets us all the information we need about where
- 46:54Speaker 1: this fucking train was going to and from.
- 46:56Speaker 2: I got a briefcase. I can put syringes in it
- 47:00Speaker 2: right now, Sauz, who knows? You know, Just let me
- 47:05Speaker 2: know what you need. I got you.
- 47:07Speaker 1: It's better this way.
- 47:09Speaker 2: It's better this way, and close the curtain.
- 47:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna say that anytime I do anything someone even
- 47:16Speaker 1: moderately doesn't like anyway. We should probably wrap this episode up.
- 47:22Speaker 2: Let's wrap it up.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Phizzy, Do you have anything to plug before we get
- 47:25Speaker 1: out of here? Yeah?
- 47:26Speaker 2: Just hit me up on the internet. Stay in touch.
- 47:29Speaker 2: I'm at Phisitisani on old platforms Instagram, Twitter, clubhouse, all
- 47:35Speaker 2: of that good stuff. I'll spell it fi Z A
- 47:39Speaker 2: A d O S A and I please note there
- 47:44Speaker 2: is one z in two a's in my first name.
- 47:47Speaker 2: And Desani sounds like the water, but it's not da,
- 47:49Speaker 2: it's d o. And yes, I'm aware my name sounds
- 47:52Speaker 2: like a carbonated beverage. Thanks.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Are you aware your name sounds like a carbonated effort? Yes, sir,
- 48:00Speaker 1: huon dot com, slash on, pops on, Popsnetwork, dot Supercast,

- 48:06Speaker 1: the funk out of here. Fizzis say goodbye, bye y'all,
