Transcript
- 0:00How are we fellow Reds? And welcome to this Manchester
- 0:02United preview of the upcoming match versus Leeds with those
- 0:06spend. And Chaz, before we get into it,
- 0:09thank you to our subscribers and followers.
- 0:11If you're not a fellow Red, please subscribe or follow.
- 0:15We're on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
- 0:19We'd love to have you and we want to make sure that you don't
- 0:21miss a thing. But Chaz, I'm a bit croaky, but
- 0:25we're back to anyone. Yeah, finally.
- 0:28I know, I know. 21 days since our last game, A-22 draw at
- 0:31Bournemouth. In that time I'm another year
- 0:34older. We've both been to the Lakes.
- 0:37Separately, still here. You're still there?
- 0:40Yeah, separately. And how's things?
- 0:42How's things with you? Yeah, well, good.
- 0:44Obviously catch up with football, but like obviously
- 0:50it's not the same when United aren't playing.
- 0:51So I'm around with the competitions that are playing.
- 0:55So yeah, it's I'd like to say it's been nice not to have
- 1:00anything going on and switch off from football.
- 1:01And so far it's just annoying, isn't it, when we're not
- 1:04playing. So I'll be honest, I've missed
- 1:05it. So looking forward to the game
- 1:07on on on Monday you. Say you missed me, is that what
- 1:11you meant? No, no, no.
- 1:14Standard yeah, voice is struggling a little bit and no
- 1:19extra love from chess there as always, but going to do my very
- 1:23best to get through this today because as Chess said, very,
- 1:26very excited to be back. Man United is back and a lot to
- 1:29talk about before we dive into the the game preview.
- 1:34Quite a bit has happened obviously in the 21 days since
- 1:36we've we've been away and since the last game.
- 1:39First of all, FA Cup, some very, very tasty results.
- 1:43So the fixture that we, the fixture that we hate, first of
- 1:46all, CTV, Liverpool, there's no winners for us in that one, but.
- 1:49Yeah, they didn't both lose the day.
- 1:52Yeah, City 4, Liverpool nil. Yeah, he's on the road, surely,
- 1:58isn't he? It's actually after this
- 2:00champions, Champions League results as well.
- 2:03You've got to think like, sure, they're lining up.
- 2:07What's to say Alonso for the summer, surely.
- 2:10Yeah, it's I feel that the the fans have given up on him a
- 2:14little bit now from what I'm. Yeah, I think so.
- 2:16And seeing as well almost himself, he seems the way he's
- 2:19talking now just seems to be a little bit.
- 2:21Like he's resigned, right? Yeah. 111 foot out.
- 2:26I didn't watch the game, but it sounds like they obviously they
- 2:28got obviously got battered, but it always sounds like they gave
- 2:30up in the second-half, which, yeah, where's that famous
- 2:36Liverpool spirit and stuff? Look how?
- 2:41Look how happy you were when you were saying that.
- 2:43Yeah, yeah. I've been great, yeah, Van Dyke
- 2:45admitted it, didn't he? He said that the.
- 2:47Yeah, Yeah. In the second-half.
- 2:50Not good, but keeping, yeah. Don't hear you catch me saying
- 2:52that, do you? Yeah, no, no, he did another
- 2:56little back turn for the for the for one of the goals in the week
- 2:59as well for. People, yeah.
- 3:00Never been dribble past. Never been dribble past.
- 3:03Because he doesn't try to tackle anyone, he just runs away from
- 3:07them, turns his back. Best Premier League defender
- 3:09ever, apparently. Nonsense.
- 3:12And they were lucky. Nonsense.
- 3:13Yeah. Should have been 4 at least.
- 3:16Yeah, yeah, I saw a bit and zero shot and target.
- 3:21Yeah, yeah, I had a bet on and it was like a shots and target 1
- 3:26and I had I had like do a, I can't say his name, he's really
- 3:34good, kind of Australia and then another PSD player and the goal
- 3:39scorer do a all I wanted. All I needed was one shot on
- 3:44target for I think it was robust line shotgun.
- 3:48Oh, I'm picking all the ones I got to his name.
- 3:49So and that's what nothing has stopped me from winning £11180
- 3:53or not. So even more annoying.
- 3:55Gutted. Gutted.
- 3:56Yeah. Obviously I'm happy, yeah.
- 3:59Of course, a bit more sabotage from the fellow Reds there,
- 4:02which I, which I, yeah. Exactly and.
- 4:04There's much to enjoy it. Let's move past Liverpool, but
- 4:06then Chelsea 7 nil Port Vale, obviously a game they should
- 4:09win, but good result. Yeah, yeah.
- 4:12That's such a weird team. Anyway, David Brent coming up
- 4:16with more corkers this week with Enzo as well, right?
- 4:19Which is just mentioned. The word Madrid is like that.
- 4:22Two games suspended. All right, He's an oddball.
- 4:27He's an oddball. Yeah.
- 4:29I'm here for him now. He's he's enjoyable.
- 4:31It makes it interesting and it makes it gives us to talk about
- 4:34other podcasts as well, so. Yeah, exactly.
- 4:36Keep. It going West Ham 2 Leeds too.
- 4:39I watched that game as well. Bonkers.
- 4:41Obviously Leeds look like they were cruising through.
- 4:44Yeah, home and dry, right? Yeah, yeah.
- 4:45Mad was it? 91 and 98 isn't it?
- 4:48Was it less than 90? Something like that?
- 4:49They're both not both post 90, right?
- 4:52It's. Crazy.
- 4:53But then obviously Leeds pulled through penalties at the end.
- 4:55So I don't like, I think it was almost one of those games where
- 4:58do you want you also want to go through.
- 5:00But if you don't go through, you have more time to prepare as a
- 5:04relegation battle team. So like even if you did lose
- 5:08that, obviously momentum is probably better, but having one
- 5:11less game than Arrival, maybe they're positive as well.
- 5:15Yeah, nice, Ben. I just think surely you know, FA
- 5:18Cup crack, like they just got to go for Ave. and see what
- 5:20happens. Yeah, yeah, yeah, there's
- 5:22definitely some some plus on that game as well.
- 5:25I'll really like the young West Ham keeper coming on and he had
- 5:28a bit of shit housery about him as well at the penalty.
- 5:30Yeah, loving his moment. And he saved that one penalty
- 5:33and I thought he was going to be the hero, but wasn't to be.
- 5:37And dirty leads, which we'll get to in a bit in a bit, obviously
- 5:41got through. So so yeah.
- 5:44And then I know we get in trouble for talking about this
- 5:46team and this podcast. No, that's talks about them.
- 5:48Aren't we Southampton 2 Arsenal won out of the FA.
- 5:54Yes, lovely stuff and apparently like obviously I know you
- 5:58watched it and you were watching it with Southampton fan as well,
- 6:01so you must have been loving it. But fully deserved, right?
- 6:05Yeah, and I can't read the name of the striker who scored his
- 6:10name. He could be the lately it will
- 6:13shout for a Scotland caller and she's Scottish.
- 6:17So every night you like, I only saw the highlights of that game
- 6:20but he looked decent as well. So it sounds like yeah, I only
- 6:24watched the highlights, but Southampton kind of fully
- 6:26deserved it and this, this wheels coming off for Arsenal is
- 6:31enjoyable view. Yeah, I mean, I'll get in
- 6:34trouble for saying that on the pod, but I did celebrate it
- 6:36almost like a Southampton fan because it just was mad.
- 6:38Yeah, I think my my mate, who is a Saints fan, he was almost like
- 6:41checking with me as if it was like I said, look, this isn't a
- 6:44smash and grab. You've more than deserved this.
- 6:47They played really well. They're Brazilian CN Zero.
- 6:51I can't probably get his name wrong as well, but he was so
- 6:53good as well on the on the on the wing there he was fantastic
- 6:57player so. They smashed Wrexham every day
- 7:02as well to to get into the playoff spots, so they're on a
- 7:05bit momentum as well now. Few trips to Wembley, maybe.
- 7:09Yeah, yeah, playoffs for them. But yeah, looks like obviously
- 7:13very, very enjoyable because the draw they've had as well in
- 7:16that, in that competition, competition in all their cup
- 7:18competitions. To be fair, they think there is
- 7:20in Mansfield, Stockport St. basically like League 2 and
- 7:26League One teams throughout and then championship in the quarter
- 7:29final. I think they just follow as a
- 7:31foregone conclusion. They just didn't turn up and
- 7:34Southampton did and yeah, absolutely love it.
- 7:37So yeah, very pleased with that result.
- 7:40I I'm here for it, I'm here for it.
- 7:41But yes, Southampton match through and then that means that
- 7:44the draw for the semi finals is City V Southampton and then
- 7:49Chelsea V Leeds. I said quite a few weeks ago
- 7:52that I think Chelsea are going to win it.
- 7:53I don't. I'm still I'm still backing them
- 7:55for some reason. You I think, I think City are
- 8:00getting a bit of momentum or so. They won the League Cup, they
- 8:03then smash Liverpool like they might just be turning on.
- 8:07It's probably a bit too late for them to be turning on and found
- 8:09start scoring again to win the league, but I think I probably
- 8:13put them as the ones going to win this cup.
- 8:17You don't think David Brent's can have his moment in Wembley?
- 8:20Nah, I think he'd try and do something stupid in the final.
- 8:24Enzo's goalkeeper, some sort of team building.
- 8:28Talking of stupid coaching Pengate, Oh, I love the
- 8:35nonsense. Yeah, what even?
- 8:38I still don't know what that is. What I don't know what?
- 8:41It is thinking, what am I actually seeing here?
- 8:43I don't know what they're doing with these pens and I don't know
- 8:45what they're. Doing it makes no sense because
- 8:47you never need, you never want to be a pen away from your
- 8:50teammate at any point on the pitch of them.
- 8:53Like the way corners stuff. I don't know what it is.
- 8:55It's. Mad it's one of them, like they
- 8:58just have to win the league now because if they don't, yeah, so
- 9:01much stuff there like a compilation.
- 9:04I can just see it now, just some video of all the the nonsense
- 9:07it's going. To it'll be the biggest, biggest
- 9:09bottle job in history, 100% from the quadruple a few weeks ago
- 9:15now down to just the double. But looking at PSG and by and in
- 9:22the Champions League anyway, that's good.
- 9:26Like tough, tough teams there who who play all play very good
- 9:29football. And I think, yeah, I think maybe
- 9:35just the Premier League is probably the best you're going
- 9:37to get out of this season. Yeah, I can see, I can see some
- 9:41more wobbles, but we'll we'll watch closely and we'll.
- 9:44Yeah, yeah. We will be going over it in this
- 9:48podcast for sure, but other news Arsenal's rivals Spurs Deserbie
- 9:54in yeah, in the last part, but now it's confirmed he's their
- 9:58manager mad one obviously a longer term contract with them
- 10:01sitting precariously at the bottom of the league.
- 10:03So. Yeah.
- 10:04So in games, yeah, it's, I don't know, I guess they're just
- 10:10hoping that he's the kind of manager he's very fiery, right,
- 10:14And gets players going but also causes arguments.
- 10:17But maybe they're thinking that's what they need is someone
- 10:21to kind of shake them. But I don't have that kind of
- 10:23team which has it in them. I still, I still think they
- 10:26might go down. What can he do in seven games
- 10:30and where how many training sessions they have?
- 10:32Like, well, there'll be an interesting one to watch and
- 10:34apparently he will stay if they're in the championship, but
- 10:38probably on an absolute wedge, though I'm not sure how they're
- 10:40paying for that. I.
- 10:42Was going to say that there must be millions of reasons why he's
- 10:45taking that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:48Fair play. I'd be interested to watch that
- 10:49one as well. But.
- 10:50Yeah. Definitely attention to our
- 10:53beloved Manchester United. A few things to talk about
- 10:55before we get into the preview. Harry Maguire one more year and
- 10:59the option of the year after that.
- 11:03Yeah, for that, yeah, I think he deserves it.
- 11:06And he obviously had that spareware like, but it was a
- 11:11long time ago and it was probably like 3.
- 11:13Was it 3-4 years ago that he had that kind of bad spell and it
- 11:16like, and a bad spell and a bad team as well?
- 11:19Like we did cost us some goals, things and that.
- 11:22But since then, really he's been the top professional and also on
- 11:27the pitch and off the pitch and everything he's been doing.
- 11:30So yeah, I think he deserves that contract.
- 11:32And I was happy to see him. So Max, I think he's he knows
- 11:36where he sits in the squad and he's just ready to step up
- 11:39whenever he needs to. And you don't see a drop off.
- 11:42So obviously the Lick's been out and you haven't seen and he's
- 11:45probably one of our best players started this season.
- 11:47And then to see McGuire come in and not really see much of AA
- 11:51drop off, if any, I think it's kind of yeah, testament to his
- 11:55to his skills and and stuff. So yeah, happy to see that.
- 11:58Yeah, I'll hold my hands up like pre podcast.
- 12:00I've definitely had my moments with McGuire where I've been
- 12:02like thank you. That'll be that'll be all and
- 12:05you go. But yeah, he's been immense, you
- 12:09know, not even just recently, you know, for for months and
- 12:11months now. And he's, as you said, totally
- 12:14deserves this, this contract and what he's been through is such a
- 12:17good story and I just hope he can end it.
- 12:19I'm actually can end it with like a with a Premier League
- 12:21Jazz. Yeah, that'd be nice.
- 12:25A quote for you. I am arguably one of the best
- 12:28defenders in the world in both boxes.
- 12:31Henry McGuire. I guess like Airily, you percent
- 12:37probably agree with that. I guess that's what he's
- 12:40meaning, like one-on-one defending in the box.
- 12:43Maybe not quite agree with that. Like if a player shifts it
- 12:47quickly in front of him, do I back him to get a crossword pit?
- 12:50Probably not as much as some other defenders, but like Airily
- 12:54and yeah, 100% agree. Yeah, I like it.
- 12:58Let him have his moment and. I also like his yeah, like his
- 13:01confidence and yeah, I think I just shows how he's playing at
- 13:04the on the pitch. It's reflected in his comments
- 13:07as well. Yeah, yeah, Goodman, Goodman and
- 13:11suspended obviously for the game on Monday, which we'll talk
- 13:13about in a bit, but yeah, yeah, yeah, very, very deserved.
- 13:16And then obviously ahead of the game, we've we've been in Dublin
- 13:20on a on a training camp, apparently, yeah, yeah, Big
- 13:23three big training sessions and long stints in the gym.
- 13:28I've seen on socials. Where's that pub tennis?
- 13:31So that's good. We've got certain temple, bar,
- 13:34the gym. Yeah, yeah, exactly, exactly.
- 13:38A lot of head tennis stuff on socials and apparently Bruno and
- 13:41Cunha are the Champions of that, which is probably no surprise.
- 13:44Don't surprise me now. Yeah, and also apparently just
- 13:48some golf and clay pigeon chewing they've been doing as
- 13:51well. Who's your Who's your money on
- 13:54being the best golfer? Oh, did you see Lemons has
- 13:58actually been on socials recently and hitting a few golf
- 14:01balls? Oh, really?
- 14:02Looks well, I can see it. He's up there.
- 14:05I think that's the cool thing, but I think he mentioned who
- 14:08might be that. I reckon someone like Tom Heaton
- 14:10would be a good golfer. Yeah, because he doesn't play
- 14:13football. Yeah, got a lot of time anyway.
- 14:16You got a lot of time, stake keeper.
- 14:18Yeah, but. Yeah, with the with the golf and
- 14:21clay pigeon shooting, I'm wondering as well if we score on
- 14:23Monday when we score on Monday. Sorry.
- 14:26Any celebrations? Any related celebrations do you
- 14:28reckon from the golf or clay pigeon?
- 14:30When he scores, Kuni is surfing, right?
- 14:34Yeah, maybe 11 scores. Long, long goal kick.
- 14:38Windy night just carries in. We're not far from you doing the
- 14:42CUNY celebration, are we? How about it was?
- 14:4721 time it changes 21. I actually got.
- 14:49I actually don't remember what it was.
- 14:50Nothing like work. Well, let's have a little watch
- 14:53out for some some clay pigeon shooting celebrations on on
- 14:57Monday. That'd be good.
- 14:59And then quite importantly, even though we've been having a bit
- 15:02of fun with them, Arsenal's late winner against Sporting means
- 15:05that 5th is enough for Champions League football.
- 15:07To be fair, I don't even want to be thinking about that as a, as
- 15:10a possibility for us. I want to cement, I want to be
- 15:12cementing that third position and look up.
- 15:14I actually caught a, an interview with Steve Holland
- 15:17recently where he was saying exactly the same, you know, Man
- 15:19United, we should be looking up, looking to finish as high as we
- 15:22can. And I totally agree.
- 15:23But it's nice to have that extra, extra safety net.
- 15:26Hopefully that that fifth spot now does, you know, guarantee
- 15:30Champions League as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:34We shouldn't be worrying about that.
- 15:35And I think going to win on Monday just kind of helps put
- 15:39further distance behind thinking about 5th and focusing on 3rd
- 15:44and above. Definitely solidifying that
- 15:48there. I think I read on BBC that
- 15:49there's a way that I remember the calculations or the
- 15:53combinations, but we can have 11 English teams in Europe next
- 15:58year. Yeah, it needs to be like, I
- 16:04think like Miller need to win the Europa League, Palace need
- 16:07to win the conference. I think Liverpool have to win
- 16:11the Champions. Obviously not happening and I
- 16:14don't want that to happen. But yeah, like mad.
- 16:16Like we could actually have 11 because like you, obviously I
- 16:19think if you win the Conference League, you get into Europa
- 16:21League. And then obviously if you win
- 16:22the Europa League at Champions League, and then if you win the
- 16:25Champions League but finish outside the top five, then you
- 16:27get a championing spot and it all shifts down.
- 16:30So yeah, you can go all the way down to 11 and you I think we'll
- 16:33probably still have like 7 or 8 European spots next year,
- 16:37particularly because I think maybe Villa might actually
- 16:41nothing came with his face. Henry likes to win his his
- 16:44straight. He doesn't think so probably.
- 16:47Well that'll be if he wins that as well, like the 4th or 5th
- 16:49time he's when he win it. Unreal.
- 16:52Unreal, yeah. Want us to come back now and
- 16:56really hit the ground running, you know, with seven points
- 16:58ahead of Chelsea and six with seven games and 21 points to
- 17:01play for. So there's still a lot to play
- 17:03for, but Liverpool, Chelsea, so inconsistent as well that you
- 17:06think a few points and just make that task a little bit easier.
- 17:09Because you got to play it both of them as well, so.
- 17:11Yeah, yeah. And.
- 17:13I think those games, like it'd be nice to have those games come
- 17:16in and they almost don't. They aren't like a must win
- 17:22because we've already got the gap, which I think is probably
- 17:24possible. Like you're about to say is that
- 17:26they're both slipping up. So hopefully they won't be
- 17:30important games and then we can go and relax and then smashing
- 17:33both 8 nil. Yeah, I love that.
- 17:36To be fair, I also love it if we go with some on it and we can
- 17:38just literally end their hopes as well, you know what I mean?
- 17:41Yeah, true dent their hopes and it is a big fixture because I'm
- 17:45excited to play them at the. Minute I still have an outside
- 17:48dream of. I've mentioned it on one of our
- 17:49first podcasters if we say we beat Liverpool.
- 17:53And if it is, it's that May and Everton go above them because of
- 17:56that or something like that. Because Everton are still, I
- 17:58think they only got 3, three points behind them.
- 18:01Three points behind it is, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 18:03So that could be amazing. And we called it a long time ago
- 18:06so. Yeah, I would like that.
- 18:08I would like that. But yeah, let's focus on
- 18:11ourselves and let's get into it. So Leeds, Leeds, Leeds on Monday
- 18:16night. So Monday, 8:00 PM in the UK,
- 18:19Old Trafford, we're back. I'm going to be there.
- 18:22Very excited to be to be back. And also it's on Sky Sports
- 18:27Monday Night Football as well. So bit of a shame that we have
- 18:30to wait all weekend and then obviously we're playing, but at
- 18:34least we'll know kind of where we're at.
- 18:35And then there's been a few few slip UPS by then as well.
- 18:39It's always a big game, right? Yeah, exactly, exactly.
- 18:42They just come with so much fire and passion and hate, let's be
- 18:45honest towards. Yeah, I think the feeling's
- 18:48pretty mutual. So looking forward to it.
- 18:52In terms of Leeds. So when we last played, Ellen
- 18:55Rd. won one, but if you remember it, but Cunha kind of rescued
- 18:58that point. It wasn't a a great hammer in
- 19:01game, unfortunately. Yeah, Yeah, they're sitting in
- 19:0415th, four points above West Ham, obviously in the relegation
- 19:08zone, and they're six points away from Palace, above them in
- 19:1014th. Could they go down Leeds?
- 19:14I think I think they just got a bit too much about them.
- 19:17Like even just again, we've mentioned spares before.
- 19:21I just got because our leads have just more fight.
- 19:24So even if they're not playing well, like I guess they've just
- 19:27kind of got that a bit more aggression and fight in them,
- 19:30which can maybe nick in the win. So I think they'll be all right.
- 19:34They'll obviously get smashed on Monday, but they'll be able to
- 19:38recover in and win at some point down the line.
- 19:41I think. So yeah, I think that'd be fine.
- 19:42You're. Giving away your prediction.
- 19:44And also when you got also once you got a goal scorer, we should
- 19:48do have a premier goal scorer, which is often the issue when
- 19:51you're down at the bottom sort of clubs, you don't have someone
- 19:53you can back to to pick up 10 to 15 goals.
- 19:56They've got that, which I think is we'll probably carry them
- 19:58over the line. Yeah, I think they'll have
- 20:01enough. I think they'll have enough
- 20:03their last three games just to give us a bit of insight into
- 20:05them. Obviously they beat West Ham in
- 20:06the FA Cup, as you mentioned on pens.
- 20:09They look comfortable, apart from the last year, like
- 20:11madness. Yeah, there.
- 20:12Should be a formality, that game, yeah.
- 20:14Exactly, Yeah. And before that they drew nil,
- 20:17nil at home to Brentford. And before that, they drew.
- 20:20Everyone. At Palace they've leads have
- 20:25drawn 12 times, which is the second most after Bournemouth.
- 20:29Yeah, I was going to say that's like those two results that if
- 20:31you look at them on paper, you know, a point at Palace and
- 20:34Brentford, decent results for teams which are kind of
- 20:37scrapping around in the relegation zone.
- 20:39So I'd say that form they have is pretty good for a team down
- 20:45there. So like I said, I think they'll
- 20:47be fine, but. Those are all points make a
- 20:52massive difference, but to give us to give us a bit of
- 20:56confidence going into our game. They have only won one away game
- 20:58all season. I don't want to jinx that at
- 21:00all. Might come back to bite me on
- 21:02the ass however. Who's that?
- 21:03Against. I'm going to say no, I think it
- 21:10was or maybe a Brentford. Where do I hear it?
- 21:14Can't remember. I'll dig it out.
- 21:15Who cares? Yeah who cares, But hopefully
- 21:20that doesn't become two at Old Trafford and we have to do them
- 21:24as you say, team news. To be fair, few injuries on
- 21:27their side from what I've read so far.
- 21:29So Stack Roden out, both injured in the FA Cup win.
- 21:33What I'm quite happy about is Dan James is out.
- 21:36Don't wish any ill in him but I I hate former players coming
- 21:39back to haunt us so. Yeah, yeah, he's always got a
- 21:41screamer in him, isn't he? As well as he showed for Leeds,
- 21:44as he showed for Wales a few weeks ago.
- 21:46Screamer are absolutely rapid. Yeah.
- 21:50So. Yeah, he is.
- 21:53I was quite relieved about that and I'm going to butcher some of
- 21:56these names, but Bijel Okafor and Goodman Munson are doubts
- 22:01for the game as well. Again, just kind of naming names
- 22:04there just so they've got a few, a few people.
- 22:05Yeah, yeah. And I guess, I guess the other
- 22:07question for them as well as around their goalkeeper.
- 22:09So Perry's been starting in the FA Cup, but Darlow's been
- 22:12playing in the Prem. So there's a bit of a question
- 22:14mark on maybe who who starts at Trafford.
- 22:17But whoever does, I hope they just.
- 22:20Have us stumbles, yeah? Yeah, I think wants to watch
- 22:25jazz from your point of view. Obviously Calvert Lewin is the
- 22:29main one that comes to mind and I think obviously he's injured,
- 22:36but I think stacks a decent player as well.
- 22:39Otherwise he's not playing as good.
- 22:41So yeah, Calvert Lewin is probably the main threat.
- 22:44So keeping quiet, I think you're probably we should be all right.
- 22:51What do you think? I agree.
- 22:52Calvert Lewin almost a United player as well.
- 22:55Yeah, I think he would have been a good, a good addition.
- 22:57I'll be honest, especially the Harry's played.
- 23:00He's not been injured all season.
- 23:02And that's I think the main reason teams, bigger team stayed
- 23:04away from him is not because of his his his qualities, but
- 23:07because of his injury record. And I think whatever they've
- 23:10done to keep him fit has worked and they've got the rewards for
- 23:14it. And so, yeah, he's the main
- 23:15threat, I mean, to keep an eye on, I think.
- 23:20Yeah, for me as well, I'd say Aaronson, tricky customer.
- 23:23He's obviously the guy that scored against us, Ellen Rd. and
- 23:27he's just a bit, he's a bit nippy and you know, he's got
- 23:29some some ability with the ball at his feet.
- 23:31So just one I've got my eye on. But hopefully we'll they'll have
- 23:34a very, very quiet, quiet time of things at Trafford and on to
- 23:40us. So updates you've had a bit of
- 23:42rest. We've had 20 odd days so.
- 23:45Yeah, recovery, yeah. Yeah, Martinez looks like a good
- 23:49one in terms of back. Fingers crossed.
- 23:52Yeah. Yeah, quite suspended.
- 23:54I think we know that Mathias Delict is is out for.
- 23:58I think he might just, yeah, I reckon they maybe just going,
- 24:02yeah, let's just let whatever it is with your back, let's just
- 24:04heal up completely and then start again next season.
- 24:08Yeah. Because he doesn't have that
- 24:10good relationship with the Dutch team.
- 24:12I feel like he's not desperate to come back either.
- 24:14Yeah, I'd agree. I'd agree.
- 24:17Mason Mount apparently back to full fitness, which is good.
- 24:20I hope he can have a proper run at things and see.
- 24:23Good little one to have off the bench.
- 24:26Really good, really good. Love his attitude and I just
- 24:28wish him all the best in terms of a proper run now just to have
- 24:32a crack at a crack at this opportunity.
- 24:35Balon Dogu, he's on his way back.
- 24:38I've got a feeling yeah, might be too soon for him.
- 24:41I think maybe bench. Yeah.
- 24:43Potentially, but because I saw saw the training pitches that
- 24:46you know, him and Martinez. So yeah.
- 24:50But like you said, I think Martinez is probably going to
- 24:53he's definitely on the bench if if not starting, I'd say.
- 24:58But yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing Balon.
- 24:59I'll be back. But yeah, I think maybe it's one
- 25:02game too early. I'd agree, I'd agree and just to
- 25:05mention and Bueno and Cesco obviously withdrew from
- 25:08international duty, but it looks like they're OK as well, not as
- 25:12bad as Arsenal. How many did they withdraw?
- 25:14Was it 11? 11 was genuinely 11.
- 25:17Absolute joke. But then The thing is at the end
- 25:20of the day, they got the win, didn't they got the win, got the
- 25:22big win against seven. Oh Oh no they didn't.
- 25:25Oh, worth it. That was secret Arsenal.
- 25:28People who who watch this and listen to this like no vendetta
- 25:32against Arsenal. It just, we can't help it.
- 25:34All these things you keep doing, we have to talk about it.
- 25:37You know what I mean? Who else has dropped eleven
- 25:39players? If they're outlets know, we'll
- 25:41talk about them as well. But it's funny and I've not seen
- 25:44any other teams running about the place with pens, have you?
- 25:48Yeah, I haven't, I haven't. So look, look, if it happens,
- 25:52we're going to talk about it. So I'm sorry and I'm sorry and
- 25:56it's going to carry on, right predicted line actually given a
- 26:00little bit away. What's what's yours, Chaz?
- 26:03Lemons ago I'm assuming Shaw's back fully fit so I have Shaw
- 26:10left back and again I'm hoping Martinez is fit.
- 26:15So Martinez and Euro and then download right back and then
- 26:20same old Casimiro Bruno and and Kobe in midfield and then I'm
- 26:30going to go Cesco. It's kind of I don't know what
- 26:38he's going to do or not. I'm going to go Cesco at top
- 26:41junior and I'm going to go Brian and then I'm out on the bench
- 26:46you've. Nicked my team.
- 26:48Hang on. Yeah.
- 26:50That's that's exactly what I'm thinking as well, yeah.
- 26:52I just, I just don't know whether I really hope he does
- 26:54play Cesco because I just don't think the the brown thing's been
- 26:59working now for a while. So I think Cesco deserves to
- 27:03start, but that's the only one I'm not certain he will do.
- 27:07But let's really do what I hope he does.
- 27:10I think he'll do that, but we'll see.
- 27:14Same teams have we got the same score?
- 27:16What are you going for? Three nil United, Yeah, I don't
- 27:22think, I don't really. I think like I said, I think we
- 27:25if you can keep Outland quiet, I don't think they'll score.
- 27:31So I'm going Cesco for two and then a Bruno penalty.
- 27:38Nice. And Bruno's getting Bruno's
- 27:39getting one assist as well. Very good.
- 27:42I was just about to ask you who's scoring for Leeds, which
- 27:44is crazy, but yeah, three nil. Love it.
- 27:47All right, mine's mine's a bit. I would absolutely love it.
- 27:50It's three nil and I will definitely be enjoying myself on
- 27:53Monday. If so, I'm slightly concerned it
- 27:56might be a little bit of rust and obviously Leeds have played
- 27:59a bit more recently as well. I think.
- 28:02I think we're going to win. I just got this down as 2/1 and
- 28:05I had and Guemo and Cesco to score and then I had my 1:00 to
- 28:09watch Aaronson to score for Leeds.
- 28:12OK. Well, we'll put the bets on.
- 28:14We'll see. Yeah, yeah, good reminder.
- 28:16Let's make sure we get. That I don't.
- 28:17I don't care if Eva versus is correct to be there.
- 28:21Yeah. As long as you, as long as you
- 28:22win. Exactly, exactly.
- 28:25OK, brilliant, great. There are some other juicy ish
- 28:29games from the weekend. So Chelsea V City is kind of a
- 28:34it's a good one for us, isn't it really?
- 28:35In terms of, do we, do we want to win that just to keep Chelsea
- 28:38down? Yeah, it's also I kind of do
- 28:42want a bit of AI, want that City, Arsenal going to be a bit
- 28:46juicy and if Chelsea beat them and there's a big gap is it
- 28:49stops being like that. So I think for the gap on
- 28:52Chelsea and I don't think we'll catch City.
- 28:56So I think, yeah, I think I prefer City.
- 29:00Win there and solidify third spot.
- 29:05Yeah, I hate myself for even thinking it, but saying it.
- 29:08But yeah, I agree with you. I think just get Chelsea damaged
- 29:12a bit further, make that so fast.
- 29:14I want a bit juicy, get them wobbling a little bit more.
- 29:17I think unfortunately, you know, second place for us is probably
- 29:20out of sight, isn't it? And I'll be very happy.
- 29:22I think we have to remember like how good finishing third would
- 29:25be based on, you know, where we've come from and the mess we
- 29:29were in. So don't want to be too greedy.
- 29:31But yeah, I can see, I can see a City win for that one.
- 29:35And then the only other fixture of note probably is Deserve his
- 29:38first game which is away at Sunderland, so tricky 1.
- 29:41Yeah, it's a tough one. Like obviously Sunderland have
- 29:44dropped off like a fair bit from where they were doing the star
- 29:47the season, but picked up obviously a good win in the in
- 29:52the Derby a few weeks back. So yeah, it's not an easy first
- 29:56game like and I think Sunderland right now, you don't concede
- 30:03many and they'll be I think the actually will be good because
- 30:07everyone kind of likes the chaos and comedy of Spurs maybe going
- 30:11down. So I think it'll make for a good
- 30:13atmosphere and like it was just interesting to see, say someone
- 30:16score early. How did the Spurs players react
- 30:19with deserving? So that'll be, yeah, it would be
- 30:21an interesting one to watch. Definitely want to watch.
- 30:24Yeah. I'm intrigued to see how this is
- 30:25going to go. Obviously there's a chance that
- 30:27he just comes on his White Horse and, you know, saves spurs and
- 30:30all that kind of good stuff. But yeah, yeah, there's another
- 30:35chance of it going the complete opposite way.
- 30:37Very wrong. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 30:39I'm here for the chaos. All right, cool.
- 30:42Just before we finish, as always at the end of a preview
- 30:45challenge, Chaz Trivia. I'm feeling pretty confident for
- 30:48you on this one. It's two parts actually.
- 30:52Yeah, I am setting you up for a fail because it's funny for me
- 30:55and the. It's a trick question.
- 30:57Yeah, if I say it's really, really easy and then you mess.
- 30:59Yeah, and I mess it up, Yeah. So Leeds obviously at Old
- 31:06Trafford on Monday. My question is for you, Charles,
- 31:10to name three players that we have signed from Leeds.
- 31:15Cantona. Correct.
- 31:18Alan Smith, Smudge. Correct.
- 31:22And did we sign Rio from the We did to me Rio.
- 31:26Correct. There are if you want to bash.
- 31:32I mean, I don't know, you know, all all this sort of era, my
- 31:36era. You got to go back.
- 31:42Did not be styles. No.
- 31:50How far back? Give me a Give me a decade.
- 31:53I don't know why all these things end up pointing to you in
- 31:56Scotland, but they do. I didn't even plan this but it
- 32:02ended up being a Scottish thing again basically.
- 32:04Give me a decade. A decade.
- 32:08Yeah, come on, my my 80s nineties.
- 32:11We're talking about the 70s. Oh God, my knowledge of the 70s
- 32:17football is not good. No, I know, I know.
- 32:20This is a tricky 1. Gordon's tracking.
- 32:24You know what? I've actually just only just
- 32:25realized he's not a good He's not a Gordon's tracking.
- 32:27However, the first name's right and it's 3 Scots.
- 32:34Gordon the Gopher. Flash Gordon.
- 32:41Is that your guess? We think Gordon's from the 70s.
- 32:51I can't even give you, I can't even give you music clues.
- 32:54So yeah, you might stick with stick with Gordon.
- 32:58And then a surname has a band that sang Bohemian Rhapsody in
- 33:03it. Oh.
- 33:04Gordon McQueen. Yeah, there's, there's one.
- 33:07Yeah, I'll give you the other two just to put everyone out on
- 33:12the misery because, yeah, Joe Jordan.
- 33:16Oh yeah, he was ex Portsmouth and this is a manager who's had
- 33:20read that, wouldn't he? Hard man.
- 33:21Yeah, they're tough, to be fair. These and then Arthur Graham.
- 33:26Yeah, I'll be honest. I was never getting him, never
- 33:29getting them. Just everything just ends up
- 33:31being a little Scottish question for you.
- 33:32I don't know why, but it is. And then I just said this is not
- 33:35a question. I just thought, well, I had this
- 33:37up. I was thinking about this and I
- 33:39thought I'd pose it to you and pose it to the audience.
- 33:41So please pop this in the comments.
- 33:43And first of all, this is an easy one to answer.
- 33:45And I was like, actually, I don't know if I know the answer
- 33:47myself, but who? Who was the best signing?
- 33:51Rio Ferdinand, not Eric Cantona. I guess Eric Cantona started the
- 33:59whole resurgence of United and winning US league and I saw this
- 34:07like if you look at his stats, you're like obviously people
- 34:11obsessed with stats these days. My guard is goals and system
- 34:15rubbish was like if you look at the games where we won one nil
- 34:19that wants the title, he basically scored all them.
- 34:21There's like 8 of them or seven of them and it won like 7 or 8
- 34:24games. So I don't know if you didn't
- 34:26have Canton, if we didn't sank Cantona, would we have won those
- 34:31early leagues? Maybe not and then would would
- 34:35have happened if you know what I mean.
- 34:38So I'm probably going to say Cantona just because I think it
- 34:44was started in terms of actual play and what they delivered on
- 34:47the pitch over a long period of time.
- 34:48And you'd say Rio because he was there longer and one more.
- 34:52But I think, yeah. But maybe without Cantona being
- 34:55the catalyst for like, Fergie's new United, then yeah, maybe Rio
- 35:02would have signed for Chelsea or you know what I mean?
- 35:06Something like that. So yeah, I'm going to go
- 35:07Cantona. Very good.
- 35:09I like the thinking. I like the thinking that, yeah,
- 35:12would Rio Ferdinand have happened without Canton?
- 35:14Now that's a good one. Yeah.
- 35:16Yeah. I love the king and what a guy,
- 35:19what a footballer, what a personality.
- 35:21But I think I actually when I thought about it, I went real
- 35:24just because the job he did at the back there and you know,
- 35:28just the type of centre half he was as well.
- 35:31Yeah, him and Viditch were insane together, weren't they?
- 35:34Amazing. But yeah, that's very difficult
- 35:36to answer, so I thought I'd just pose it to you as a little.
- 35:38Yeah, good. Question.
- 35:40Extra question, what do you guys think?
- 35:42Let us know in the comments as well.
- 35:44Rio Arcanteda. I might be in daft even
- 35:46suggesting Rio over the King. Maybe, maybe.
- 35:49But yeah, good reasoning from Jazz there.
- 35:51I like it, I like it. But yeah, let's leave it there,
- 35:54Charles. We are back.
- 35:56Football's back, Premier League's back.
- 35:58It's funny that to me, football doesn't really happen.
- 36:00I count if Man United's not in it.
- 36:02So I know there has been, but not in my world.
- 36:04But I'm very, very excited for Man United to be back on Monday.
- 36:08Excited to be there. So I'll try and bring you some
- 36:10footage as well, from pre and post game maybe.
- 36:14But yeah, please give us your comments.
- 36:15What do you think? Answer to the trivia.
- 36:17What do you think the score is going to be?
- 36:20What's your predicted line up? All that good stuff.
