- 0:40MBR giving veterans a voice. Hi and welcome to Beyond the
- 0:50Headlines and I'm your host Terry.
- 0:52And there's H train there and MJ is not able to join us tonight,
- 0:57so it's just going to be US 2 and we're going to break down
- 1:00some headlines for you. What you got tonight, H?
- 1:03Well, I tell you what, today we're, we're, we're, we will
- 1:07definitely in the second part of the show, we will play the, you
- 1:12know, as the White House turns, you know, a lot of stuff going
- 1:17on in the news right now. And, you know, it's, it's nice
- 1:22that you're here to tune in because one thing that we
- 1:25promise you is we're gonna, we're gonna talk about this news
- 1:29on a neutral, neutral line, neither one of us or the whole
- 1:36Democrat or Republican. So don't even worry about that.
- 1:40But you know, major headlines today, I don't know if you
- 1:44heard. But after three consecutive days
- 1:47of missile exchanges, tensions between Israel and Iran have
- 1:51sharply intensified after Israel struck Iran's Defense Ministry
- 1:57and alleged nuclear related sites, while Iran was responded
- 2:02with missiles targeting Israeli population centers, causing at
- 2:08least 14 fatalities so far. Notably, photos emerge showing
- 2:15Iran's F-14 Tomcat, officially US built, being destroyed near
- 2:21Tehran. Ahmed worries this could make a
- 2:25turning point when the second part of the show comes in.
- 2:29Terry. We're going to watch what
- 2:31happened today. It it it really got close to
- 2:34home for some people that do the news.
- 2:38So now, now I I think something something's going to happen.
- 2:43Also, I don't know if you already knew this, but the
- 2:47Minnesota lawmaker shooting development.
- 2:51Yeah. He's been found.
- 2:52So Van Bolter, 57, faces charges for shooting 2 Minnesota
- 2:58lawmakers and their spouses in their homes over the weekend.
- 3:01The FBI discovered he had visited multiple legislators
- 3:05residents that evening. In response to top Democrats,
- 3:11they're urging Speaker Johnson to increase House security.
- 3:18Interesting how they were fighting that earlier this month
- 3:23and now this happens and, and, and now they have a reason to.
- 3:28Interesting. All right, now you don't, I
- 3:32don't know. I don't know if you remember
- 3:35this, but do you remember about about a year and a half ago, Ed
- 3:40Sheeran went through the court process of, like, copyright
- 3:45music and. Yeah.
- 3:47OK, so check this out. The Supreme Court today declined
- 3:52to hear a lawsuit claiming Ed Sheeran's Thinking out loud
- 3:57Pleasure eyes Marvin Gaye's. Let's Get It on affirming
- 4:02previous ruling in Sharon's favor.
- 4:07They just like to waste money, don't they?
- 4:09It. Kind of sounds like and I I
- 4:11don't really think they're that much the same, honestly.
- 4:13Not really you know, and I mean it's it's first female M16 chief
- 4:24has been appointed a blaze Metro early has been named the first
- 4:30woman to lead EU KS M16 set to assume that the role on October
- 4:351st, 2025. Her appointment during rising
- 4:39global threats marks a milestone in British intelligence
- 4:43leadership. Is it MI 6?
- 4:49MI 6. Yeah, yeah.
- 4:52That's. Interesting M16.
- 4:54Yes, Oops. Yep, yeah, MI 6, I believe.
- 5:00But yeah, that's pretty interesting that that now is led
- 5:02by a female, I think, like you said, the first time in history.
- 5:05So. So that's kind of interesting.
- 5:08And you know, you know, Bonds were never females either,
- 5:13whenever they had a Bond movie and he, you know, he's British
- 5:15intelligence and they never had a female Bond for the longest
- 5:19James, there was always James and not another female that was
- 5:24an agent like that. But I think they did finally
- 5:27come up with or they were going to cast one, weren't they?
- 5:29I thought at one time they were going to cast a female into a
- 5:32role of an agent. I don't know, but I do know 2
- 5:37movies, 2 sequels are coming out.
- 5:40There's a lot of people is excited about it.
- 5:43I think oh great, another Hangover series.
- 5:46But baseball's 2 is coming out. Rick Morris is coming out of
- 5:54retirement for this. That's pretty cool.
- 5:57And then also Happy Gilmore 2 is on the way.
- 6:03Oh my goodness. Yeah, they showed the previews
- 6:06of it and honestly, it looks kind of crappy.
- 6:13Honestly, it looks like the same plot.
- 6:15Why does sequels have to be the same plot?
- 6:19I don't know, I think they think the first one works so the
- 6:22second one should work too. But that doesn't usually work so
- 6:25pretty good. Usually you need something a
- 6:27little different to keep people engaged.
- 6:30I'm hoping for good things with Spaceballs too though.
- 6:34That that was pretty funny back in the day.
- 6:37So it. Was.
- 6:38And then getting those people to come out of retirement, you
- 6:41know, like one of them was like 92, isn't he?
- 6:43That's coming back as one of his characters that was cast way
- 6:46back in the day. Yeah.
- 6:49Yeah. So I mean, I think it'll be
- 6:50interesting to say the least. All right, so I'm trying to get
- 6:56the damn I I don't know if something's going on with Canva
- 7:01today because I'm trying to trying to drag this over and
- 7:07it's it is not liking it. Let me tell you.
- 7:10What do you got for us? Or yeah.
- 7:14Well, I was, I was doing a little bit of investigating and
- 7:17it kind of ties into what you were talking about with missiles
- 7:21and drones and things like that. And so really the topic was AI
- 7:25in the battlefield. And, and the comment is, are we
- 7:28ready for autonomous warfare? And you know, I think we are in
- 7:32a way, but then in another way, we're not.
- 7:34I mean, one of the things that it talked about was, Are you
- 7:38ready for AI to be your battle buddy?
- 7:40Would you depend on that battle buddy to help you out and to
- 7:43always do what, what needed to get done?
- 7:46I mean, do do we have the same level of confidence that we
- 7:49would have in a, in a real human being partner battle buddy?
- 7:53And then the other thing that the other side of it is once
- 7:57something like that is deployed and you know, something's in its
- 8:00path and it's, you know, collateral damage, that's,
- 8:05that's not expendable. That shouldn't be expendable.
- 8:08I mean, that would be a problem too.
- 8:09Like there's a human factor involved because it doesn't have
- 8:12a way to discern friend or foe necessarily.
- 8:16I mean, given certain conditions, yes, it does.
- 8:19But I mean, if somebody in in unintentionally stepped in the
- 8:23path of one of these AI things, either a drone.
- 8:26Or a missile. Or.
- 8:28Yeah. So I mean, like, I mean, we're
- 8:30already using AI in the military for some things, but are we
- 8:35ready for Terminator Part 234? I mean, are we ready for that?
- 8:40I mean, you know, are the universal soldiers?
- 8:42I mean, because kind of that's kind of the thought behind this
- 8:47new AI is that what's gonna eventually be the thing?
- 8:50And I mean, really autonomous, you know, AI in the battlefield
- 8:54is good because it would save lives.
- 8:57You, you know, the, the service members lives, you know, just
- 9:00deploy something like that. But is it dependable and is it
- 9:03something that's sustainable? I mean, 'cause you've got to,
- 9:07you've got to think that all this stuff is so expensive that
- 9:11how in the world would we be able to afford enough AI to
- 9:16cover all the battles? We are all the places we are in.
- 9:20I mean, you know, drones are pretty easy and those are easy
- 9:23replicated and and those wouldn't be something that would
- 9:28be a lot of trouble to maintain or to keep in or be a huge cost.
- 9:32But if we're talking about other enhancements with AI.
- 9:38Like flying IEDs, yes, and I saw that.
- 9:43That scares the shit out of me. Yeah.
- 9:46I mean, so that's where we're kind of at.
- 9:48Are we ready for that? I mean, I don't know.
- 9:51Not. Sure, I'm asking.
- 9:52'Cause I I don't think the question is, are we ready for
- 9:56that? I think the question is, is how
- 10:01are we going to teach that to our military, OK?
- 10:06Because, you know, when we were going to Iraq, we were going to
- 10:11like the fundamentals of what engineers do when it comes to,
- 10:15you know, detonating, you know, debt cord, land mines, anti
- 10:21personnel mines, stuff like that.
- 10:23This is different. This is flying, IE D's Like
- 10:29that's kind of scary. My heart and my thoughts go to
- 10:33every service member. But, you know, like MJ and me
- 10:36were talking this morning, you know, and, and my wife and me
- 10:40were thinking about having kids. You know, that's one thing we
- 10:44got in an argument because she's like, what?
- 10:46I don't want my kids ever to join the military.
- 10:49And I told her I'm like, you know, some some say there's
- 10:53going to be a day where it doesn't matter if kid joins the
- 10:56military or not. They're going to be here and the
- 10:59fight is going to be here in the United States.
- 11:02It's just it's, it's going to be there's sleeper cells and
- 11:05everything else. I believe that.
- 11:07So we, you know, it's very easy of us as humans to become
- 11:14complacent and we really have to be aware of our surroundings.
- 11:19I know I do, you know, I mean, you know, my, I, I wasn't
- 11:23exactly thinking yesterday. We we went to the the remote to
- 11:28do that remote in out about time near Lakewood and we got there
- 11:37and my gratitude comes over and says we we got some bad news.
- 11:41What's that bad news? The store can't give us power.
- 11:48Jeez, I'm like, well, this was a fun idea.
- 11:52So me and my wife we went over and and purchased a generator.
- 11:57We got the message done. Now it's nice that, you know, we
- 12:02have a means to do that in the last second, you know, but
- 12:06anybody else, they, they probably won't have that.
- 12:12But my, my, my, my, the reason why I bring that up is, you
- 12:16know, you got to, you have to, you have to prepare for
- 12:20everything Nowadays, nothing is nothing is black and white.
- 12:25Everything. There's like a loophole.
- 12:27There's, there's something that you have to worry about.
- 12:30And I do I, I worry about our sewers members.
- 12:33I worry about the work ethic. Cause me and your time man.
- 12:38Our work ethic is definitely different than the work ethic of
- 12:42the younger generation today. It it's so different because,
- 12:46you know, I was telling Travis with OM, he was like, well,
- 12:51what's changed? What's different?
- 12:53Because you've spent 33 1/2 years in the military.
- 12:55So what have you seen change over the course of time?
- 12:58And one of the things was, you know, polishing boots and
- 13:01ironing uniforms, you know, we took a lot of pride in both.
- 13:05You know, our boots were supposed to be super shiny and
- 13:07like, you could see yourself and drill Sergeant wanted to see his
- 13:10reflection in our boots. And you know, you wanted that
- 13:13pressed uniform. You wanted it, you know, just to
- 13:15stand up practically by itself. And nowadays, you know, it's a
- 13:19wash and wear uniform, it's suede boots.
- 13:22So, you know, there's really no maintenance other than keeping
- 13:26your patches serviceable and that kind of thing.
- 13:28But other than that, they don't really have to spend any time on
- 13:31it. So we learned, you know, kind of
- 13:34to put our effort in our uniform and in our, our, our mission set
- 13:38because that was what we did. But nowadays, you know,
- 13:42everything's a little bit different.
- 13:43We've got all these cell phones, we've about all these things
- 13:46that we didn't have. So we've got all these
- 13:48distractions and we and things we don't have to do anymore that
- 13:54would tie us to being more regimented in what we do and how
- 13:58we do it. And, you know, so that's one of
- 14:01the things I think definitely is a big change is the uniforms.
- 14:05And then it's not a bad thing. I'm not, I'm not complaining.
- 14:08I mean, I didn't mind not having to pay for starch in my uniform
- 14:11and, you know, being able to bend my arms when I needed to.
- 14:17I was going to say my, I remember my BT us.
- 14:20I remember those pants, Tracy. Those things stood up on it.
- 14:25They were so caked. And you know what?
- 14:28What I did and like, so, so when I got ready to go to the board
- 14:34in Iraq, I would I'd take my uniform and I like wet it down
- 14:40and I put it in between the mattress and the springs so that
- 14:44that would iron it kind of like press it or whatever for the
- 14:47board. Yeah.
- 14:49That's a good idea. Never thought.
- 14:52That's a cool idea, I never thought about that.
- 14:54Yeah, well, it didn't get me very far, so you know, but hey,
- 14:57it's 1000 counts. You were trying, right?
- 15:00I was trying. I was trying damn it.
- 15:04Well, I remember trying to put my foot into a pant leg and
- 15:07you're like having to bust starch or break the starch just
- 15:11to get your foot in there because they were so starched
- 15:13heavy. And then you would, you would
- 15:16fold them over and it would be just like a temp flap, like it
- 15:19would just stay completely over because it was so creased and so
- 15:22heavy with starch. So yeah, and, and they were hot.
- 15:25They were hot with all that. Stuff they didn't.
- 15:28Breathe very well. You don't know hot until you've
- 15:31been stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
- 15:35Oh my God, that that place is hot.
- 15:39You know, it got so hot that the Kiwi would melt off the toe.
- 15:46That's how hot it got. It got so hot.
- 15:49It got so hot that the next day my BTU's no, that thing starts.
- 15:55That's sweat. That's that's, that's white
- 15:58sweat on the yeah. Oh, so gross.
- 16:04I don't know which one was worse.
- 16:05That or in PT formation while the Nats are biting you and you
- 16:10have to stay in that position of attention while the Nats are
- 16:15biting you. Yeah, that's not fun.
- 16:18No it isn't. No.
- 16:22Well, you ready for our first break?
- 16:25Well, yeah, how about we play Die Tired Open Hearts club?
- 16:30How about we? Play all right And then when we
- 16:33come back we're going to not only do as the world turns but
- 16:40from around the world there's there's three things that's
- 16:45going on and we're going to tell you about one of them just so
- 16:50happens to be tourist footage from India's show panic at
- 16:57Moon's campany falls as a snake was spotted in the water.
- 17:01So whatever you do, stay with us.
- 17:02Don't go away. You're listening to Beyond the
- 17:04headlines with H and Tracer right here on MBR here we.
- 17:11Go. The station where our veterans
- 24:46voices are heard MBR talk. Hey, thanks.
- 24:51For tuning in, welcome are those of the speakers and do not
- 24:56necessarily reflect the views or.
- 24:58Positions of any entities they represent.
- 25:02The web at MB radio dot. Welcome back to Beyond the
- 25:07Headlines with H and Terry. And we're breaking down today's
- 25:11headlines and putting them into perspective.
- 25:13What you got H? Well, I hope you can hear that
- 25:16music. I got, we got the, we got the
- 25:19the soundboard back. Oh yeah.
- 25:22Yeah, so hopefully you heard that music.
- 25:25I did. Good.
- 25:27I haven't had really a good a solid 30 or 40 minutes to really
- 25:32make sure that this mixer works. So this is one of those days
- 25:36when we're like really trusting the equipment, if you know what
- 25:39I mean. I do.
- 25:41Sometimes it works for you and sometimes nothing works.
- 25:45So I'm not going to play the video, but right now London and
- 25:50the UK are laughing at Trump because apparently during the
- 25:57parade, Trump fell asleep. Oh.
- 26:02No. Yes, so, Oh my God, you know
- 26:06what? If I, if I was 89 years old, I'd
- 26:08fall asleep. Two people, you know?
- 26:11Well, give him. Give him a break.
- 26:14But the thing with Trump and with a lot of people like him,
- 26:18they don't sleep very much. They sleep maybe 2-3 hours a
- 26:21night, maybe 4 Max, and that's about it.
- 26:24So sometimes when they've had a full day, I mean, they, they
- 26:28just crash. Like finally they just crash
- 26:31because they don't really sleep much.
- 26:33Those creative type people, those minds that really just get
- 26:37up and work and just keep going all day.
- 26:39Like, you give them like a moment of like silence, like to
- 26:42sit and they're, they're out. Yeah, well, Trump, now you know
- 26:48how the military guys feel when we're standing at attention of
- 26:52parade rest. Because if you haven't fell
- 26:55asleep at attention of parade rest and you haven't lived in
- 26:58the military for long. Right.
- 27:01That's true. Yeah, that is true.
- 27:03It's it's amazing to think that you can fall asleep standing up,
- 27:06but you can. It, it is the thing.
- 27:08It happens. You know what?
- 27:10When you join the military, there are going to be things
- 27:13that you think that your body can't ever do, and the military
- 27:17is going to show you how to break those records.
- 27:20So don't you worry. Right, that's true, yeah.
- 27:24A lot of things you never thought possible are possible.
- 27:28Now I'm going to read some of these news clippings from around
- 27:31the world and then some local here in here in Denver.
- 27:37That's kind of interesting. And then we'll go in right into
- 27:42as a white White House turns, unless you have something else
- 27:45that you want to talk about. Oh, and before, before I forget,
- 27:50I mentioned it today during our our NBR little forum chat.
- 27:56Everybody is invited to play this game, but the the question
- 28:03of the day to everybody in the in like the NBR chat thing.
- 28:08It it was kind of like a family thing.
- 28:10People, if you're listening, if you're hearing you, you can also
- 28:15join. OK, the NBR logo, the
- 28:19embroidering, how many stitches is in the embroidering?
- 28:24It's it's crazy. It is crazy how how many
- 28:28stitches it is. Put a guess in the comments and
- 28:32by the end of the show we will read it or I will read who's the
- 28:37closest to those stitches. So we have that.
- 28:42We have that all as well. You know there's a.
- 28:47It's pretty detailed too. The the logo is pretty detailed
- 28:50so look it up if you need to see it but but it's pretty detailed
- 28:53logo. Yeah, now I talked about the
- 28:56word puzzle. 1458 goes viral, correct?
- 29:02I don't think. So, all right, well, so today's
- 29:05Wordle 1358 featured a nod to Tom Petty challenging players
- 29:13with a double T and AY, sparking widespread discussion and twice
- 29:18ensuring success with clever strategy guides.
- 29:23That's, that's, that's interesting.
- 29:25And then also from around the world.
- 29:28Austin Tice case update A former Syrian general claims that
- 29:34American journalist Austin Tice was executed in 2012 under
- 29:40Assad's orders. This is the first time Assad has
- 29:43been directly implicated, but the report remains unverified.
- 29:51Also, trade and diplomatic moves.
- 29:54Indiana Prime Minister Modi received Cyprus highest civilian
- 29:58honor today. Meanwhile, UK manufacturers are
- 30:02pivoting away from the US markets due to the tariff
- 30:06concerns. And then entertainment news,
- 30:10tourist footage from India shows panic as Mazzaro's Kempty falls
- 30:16as a snake was spotted in the water.
- 30:19I, I guess there's like they're having some snake troubles in
- 30:24the water over there. They also had a plane crash that
- 30:27241 people died and there was only one survivor.
- 30:32That's terrible, yeah. Yeah, and then the pretty much
- 30:38the last set of news Psychedelic Science 2025 conference begins
- 30:46here in Denver, Co Convention Center is hosting the five day
- 30:50Psychedelic Science 2025 conference from June 16th to
- 30:54June 20th, drawing over 7000 attendees and more than 500
- 30:59speakers. It highlights Colorado's legal
- 31:02psychedelic landscape and includes tours for the state and
- 31:06federal lawmakers. In response to the tragic In
- 31:13response to the tragic shootings of state lawmakers in Minnesota,
- 31:18Colorado Secretary of State has temporarily took down the Tracer
- 31:23campaign finance database, which contained personal addresses and
- 31:29phone numbers. This move prioritized public
- 31:32official safety over transparency.
- 31:36And you know, you know what's coming up.
- 31:39Tracer is Denver Juneteenth Music Festival shrank from two
- 31:45days to 1 after several corporate sponsors and NEA
- 31:50grants withdrew, mirroring a national trend of reduced
- 31:53corporation. The DEI involvement.
- 31:57We we knew that was coming. Yeah, this is going to make
- 32:00Bronco fans really happy. Mysterious series of properties
- 32:04purchased 10 lots of totalling $146 million by LLCS near
- 32:11Lincoln Park has fueled speculation about the plans for
- 32:15the Denver Broncos to build a stadium.
- 32:18The team confirms that there is no final decision yet to be
- 32:22made. Bullshit.
- 32:24OK. And then last but not least,
- 32:26then, then we'll, we'll go into the stuff now.
- 32:31Everybody saw the whole, all the, all the riots and
- 32:36everything. Single stair housing legislation
- 32:41New Denver housing rules expected by the end of 2025 will
- 32:45allow single stair apartments, simplifying construction
- 32:49following a 2025 state law. And then finally, no Kings anti
- 32:54Trump protests in Denver. Thousands marched on state
- 32:58capital as of nationwide No king rallies on June 14th opposing
- 33:03Trump's federal military parade. At least 36 arrests occur.
- 33:07But Trump made a nice little statement in his in his tweet
- 33:13this morning saying, you know what?
- 33:15I appreciate everybody coming out and supporting the No Kings
- 33:20protest. There was no Kings that was
- 33:23brought to the United States yesterday.
- 33:28I think that's a weird name for the protest.
- 33:31I mean, I think it's fine to protest if that's your if that's
- 33:34your desire and that's your calling is to protest because
- 33:36you don't like a policy or a law or practice or you don't like
- 33:42something that's going on in the government.
- 33:43But to call it no kings doesn't make sense to me.
- 33:48It really doesn't. I don't understand it, but I
- 33:52don't know if I'm supposed to. So we'll just leave that there.
- 33:56Well, I, I, you know, and, and I tell you, me and MJ was talking
- 33:59this morning. There's just, you know,
- 34:02everybody. We just got to be, we just got
- 34:05to be patient. We got to let it play out.
- 34:07But, you know, don't let the noise of the outside world get
- 34:10you down. Don't let the noise of the
- 34:13answer get you down, you know, because I guarantee you what's
- 34:18happening right now in Washington, DC not going to
- 34:22affect us for a while, not going to affect us for a while.
- 34:25So don't, don't, don't hang your head down.
- 34:29You know, You know, I didn't know if we were going to even
- 34:34have a show on Monday because of all this stuff that's going on.
- 34:37But like you said, we'll be OK. Yeah, we'll be.
- 34:42Yeah. We just got to quit listening to
- 34:43the noise. But I tell you what, we'll we'll
- 34:47go ahead and play as the White House turn segment since it's
- 34:53about that time. And then we can we can talk
- 34:56about how, how about that? Sounds good.
- 34:59I'm trying not to run the show. You're doing a good job.
- 35:02You're doing a good job. I'm letting you because you're,
- 35:04you've got this. Here we go.
- 35:20So here's some breaking news about the news.
- 35:21On June 16th, 2025, Israel bombed the headquarters of the
- 35:25Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting in Tehran, which is
- 35:29also called the IRIB, during a live broadcast.
- 35:55I'm the white man. I'm the white man.
- 36:05Now this attack that was reported by multiple sources
- 36:07including Al Jazeera, Reuters, BBC, and confirmed by the
- 36:10Israeli Defense Force. The strike interrupted a live
- 36:13transition with footage showing debris falling in the studio and
- 36:16the anchor taking cover. Now, Israel issued a full
- 36:19evacuation warning for parts of Tehran prior to the attack,
- 36:22claiming full aerial operational control over the city's skies.
- 36:25Now for those of you that don't know, the IRIB is known for
- 36:29being the state broadcasting company and it's a government
- 36:32run entity that promotes the Islamic Republic's official
- 36:35narrative which includes strong anti Israel and anti Western
- 36:39rhetoric. As you might guess, there's been
- 36:40a few people out there that said that the IRIB is a channel
- 36:43that's broadcasting global jihad, terror, incitement and
- 36:47deranged lies about the West and Israel.
- 36:49Essentially it's the propaganda news of Iran.
- 36:53So take that for what you will. So here.
- 37:00OK, so he keeps saying MB I I I I?
- 37:03I don't think he means the men in black, right?
- 37:06No, he was saying that IRB. Some IR, you know, so many,
- 37:11there's so many abbreviations. It's crazy.
- 37:14But yeah, that's that's good. Hey, honey, how was work today?
- 37:19Oh, it was a blast. Yeah, literally.
- 37:22Literally, figuratively. Yes, it was a blast.
- 37:25No, that's crazy. I mean, I can't imagine being in
- 37:27the middle of talking. And I mean, she was very
- 37:30impassioned about whatever she was talking about.
- 37:33Obviously, I don't know the language, but you could tell she
- 37:35was really into it and really like trying to get something
- 37:39across. And the next thing you see is,
- 37:40and here is this explosion. I can't, I can't even like,
- 37:44fathom having something like that happen to me.
- 37:47Right. Yeah, definitely would freeze on
- 37:50the mic, but you know it. I don't know if it's their
- 37:52language, but like it, it sounded like she was yelling at
- 37:55me. Like you come to dinner now.
- 37:57You come to dinner, you know. I told you.
- 38:01I told you and, you know, I tell you, if you've never been
- 38:05overseas and you're trying to talk to somebody, raising your
- 38:10voice or counting the syllables, you know, how are you?
- 38:16Yeah. That's not going to magically
- 38:18make them understand it, just so you know.
- 38:21Right. Yeah.
- 38:22My dad had a hard time with that when we were in Russia.
- 38:25You know, I'm like, dad, you can raise your voice all you want,
- 38:28you know, playing charades and stuff, you know, just, it just
- 38:33doesn't work. Oh, and this like last week I
- 38:36went to Walmart and I use my ChatGPT.
- 38:40I'm like hey this, this will help me right?
- 38:43That thing. That thing set me up for failure
- 38:46and I told it to ask for root beer and send me to the beer
- 38:50section. So can't trust GPT all the time
- 38:55for everything now that. Beer is beer, right?
- 38:59Root, pale ale, Apple. Like it's all the same, right?
- 39:03It still has a beer in it, right?
- 39:05Right. That's funny.
- 39:09So what? What, what, what else?
- 39:11What else did you want to? What else did you want to cover?
- 39:15Tracer. You know 'cause I tell you.
- 39:21Well, you know, it talked about in the AI article that I was
- 39:24reading, it talked about Project Maven and I, I know I've heard
- 39:28about it before, but I didn't really know a lot about it.
- 39:31Project Maven is AUS. It's MAVEN and I didn't realize
- 39:38how far it went back. It went back.
- 39:40It goes back about 8 years. It says Project Maven is AUS.
- 39:44Department of Defense initiative launched in 2017 to accelerate
- 39:47the adoption of artificial intelligence machine learning
- 39:50across the military. It focuses on AI to process
- 39:54imagery and video, particularly from surveillance drones to
- 39:58automatically detect, tag and track objects or people of
- 40:01interest. The project aims to improve
- 40:04military's ability to identify potential targets and streamline
- 40:07decision making. I'm, I kind of heard about it,
- 40:09but I didn't really realize what it was, what it was.
- 40:12But I mean, I, we've been some of us that are in the
- 40:17intelligence agency, I'm sure would know something about
- 40:20Project Maven, me not being in the intelligence lane.
- 40:24I don't, I didn't hear about it from that perspective.
- 40:27But it's been, it's been a lot around in the military a long
- 40:30time. We just are now just really
- 40:31realizing some of the outcroppings or the outshoots of
- 40:36some of that technology that they've been tracking and
- 40:39testing. So here's a little bit about it.
- 40:42I put in trending news about this.
- 40:44Evidently there's a lot coming up in the news in the last
- 40:47couple of weeks because there's a lot here.
- 40:49Says as of May 21st, 2025, the Department of Defense raised the
- 40:54contract ceiling for Planetors Maven Smart System from 480
- 41:00million to nearly 1.3 billion through 2029 to support US
- 41:05Combatant commands. NGA Director of Vice Adam Frank
- 41:10Whitworth noted that the system now has 20,000 active users
- 41:15across more than 35 military and command platforms and has
- 41:19dramatically speed up targeting workflows from hours down to
- 41:23minutes. Maven now a formal program for
- 41:27record. As of November 23rd or November
- 41:312023, the NGA officially designated Project Maven renamed
- 41:37NGA Maven as a program of record, solidifying its long
- 41:44term status in the federal budget and the acquisition
- 41:48pipeline. This paves the way for standard
- 41:51software development, whatever I can't pronounce it, pathways and
- 41:58future enhancements under NGA oversights.
- 42:03Now then, we're talking about Planter's growing contract in
- 42:08May 2024. Planter security $480 million
- 42:14expansion contract to roll out maintenance capabilities to five
- 42:18combinant commands. CENTCOM, Ucom.
- 42:24Indo Pacom. Indo pacom yeah.
- 42:27They're all coms, that's right. They're all coms, yes.
- 42:31Commands, yes. Yeah.
- 42:32And the Joint Staff, this move supports integration into the
- 42:36CJAD C2 that's joint all domain command control framework
- 42:42connecting geospatial AI with broader military intelligence
- 42:48functions. And then the final breakdown.
- 42:52This this is what all this means.
- 42:55The highlight the scale budget is nearly tripled in 2025.
- 43:00Contract value now at 1.3 billion uses 20,000 users across
- 43:06combatant and command networks. Speed targeting workflows cut
- 43:12from hours to minutes, institutionalization official
- 43:19program of record as of 2023 and then the mission still core to
- 43:25USGO special AI strategies and CJAD C2 architecture.
- 43:32So that's, I mean that's, that's some weird stuff right there.
- 43:36I don't know which one's scarier that or I yeah, I, I got to say
- 43:42the, the flying, IE D's when I saw when I saw a video picture
- 43:48of and they, they took it off. Of course, it was gruesome.
- 43:52They the the soldier evidently had a GoPro and it showed the
- 43:57drone right in front of him and it showed it exploding and then
- 44:03the screen just went black. Oh, wow, yeah.
- 44:08I mean, there's that all that with Project Maven.
- 44:12Sounds like, you know, it's very something that's very beneficial
- 44:17to the military to map out things to find targets to do all
- 44:21that. I mean, so that would take
- 44:23someone at a computer station a long time to do, you know, if
- 44:29they're doing it hands, hands on type input, instead of having AI
- 44:34kind of filter all this data quickly and make decisions.
- 44:38And that's the other thing is it would help on the battlefield
- 44:40with decision making because it'd be split second.
- 44:43Do we do this or not? And like, it would go.
- 44:45But the other thing I thought about too, and I know that
- 44:47there's some out there in the civilian world, is those robotic
- 44:51dogs that do guarding. So you know how we have the dogs
- 44:54in the military that do different things.
- 44:56Yeah. They have robots, that's all
- 44:58that. Yeah, so I've seen those too.
- 45:01So I mean like, is that the next generation soldier too is the
- 45:04robot dogs? And then maybe maybe you know
- 45:07some of the the robot suits or something for soldiers.
- 45:13I mean, the whole thing is going to, you know, artificial
- 45:16intelligence and weapons systems that are like mind driven versus
- 45:22like, you know, somebody's going to pull a trigger or somebody's
- 45:25going to, you know, roll out wire and and do a claymore mine
- 45:30or something. I mean it's all going to be AI
- 45:34and artificial robot type intelligence.
- 45:37I think it's definitely going to be Drunk Warfare.
- 45:40I agree with you on that. It's like if, if, if I can, if I
- 45:45can put what I need in a soldier and a drone and take a chance of
- 45:51sending the drunk because I mean, a drone, you, you can
- 45:54probably make a drone for less than 200 bucks, OK?
- 45:57A person's life is way more than there's more than that.
- 46:00You know, I can see them doing the drones just like Ukraine did
- 46:07to Russia, you know, kind of kind of kind of embezzle those
- 46:12drones as they get to that location and then they unmask
- 46:16it. Yeah, I I can see that
- 46:18happening. I I can see that happening.
- 46:20And you know, have we seen the last of boots on the ground?
- 46:27I don't think so. We still need real thinkers and
- 46:30real doers because somebody's got to deploy all this
- 46:33technology or ensure that it's going in the right direction.
- 46:37Wouldn't that be amazing if the, like the, the Lieutenant has a
- 46:43program, kind of like ChatGPT tells the drone where to go,
- 46:48what to do and stuff, and then it survives?
- 46:50I personally think that I'm, I'm pretty sure we've, we've seen
- 46:56the last of boots on the ground that it's going to be more
- 47:01artillery, it's going to be more air driven.
- 47:05I I at least that's at least that's what I think, you know,
- 47:09'cause I mean, in the long run, it's cheaper to replace a drone
- 47:13than it is a soldier. Oh, that's 100% true.
- 47:17And I'd rather I'd rather sacrifice a drone than a person
- 47:20any old time. So I agree with you, but I still
- 47:23think we need boots on the ground for extractions and
- 47:26things like that, because I still don't think that, you
- 47:29know, our technology is capable of those types of things.
- 47:32Or if there's a search and destroy mission, you know, I
- 47:35think there's still got to be some human intelligence that
- 47:37goes along with that because at some point in time, those
- 47:40artificial intelligence things, they think, but they, they can't
- 47:43reason and it needs reasoning. So I agree with maybe they are
- 47:48the force, the robots and, and those drones and things like
- 47:52that are the force, but there's got to be some human element
- 47:56that's in charge of that force. Because I just don't think it's
- 48:00going to just go go without I. Love MJ.
- 48:04What did she say? MJ.
- 48:08Hold on, I got to say. Wait, how many stitches was it?
- 48:18Right right now, right now I'm I'm, I'm letting everybody from
- 48:23the group pick. So Tony has had given his gifts.
- 48:29Yeah, yeah. Believe it or not.
- 48:31Yeah, that's way over that number, way over that number.
- 48:37That's crazy. You know, I saw, I didn't see
- 48:41any of those military dogs that I've seen on the, you know, on
- 48:47the feeds, whatever feeds you, social feeds you watch.
- 48:50But I, I did see one of the robotic dogs at Falcon Stadium
- 48:56in Atlanta when we were there. And that Falcons Stadium dog, he
- 49:02has his own dog house and he, he guards the perimeter of Falcons
- 49:07Stadium and he walks back and forth and you're not to mess
- 49:10with the dog and he has his own dog house to, to go into when
- 49:14he's kind of trying to reset or recharge.
- 49:18But it was kind of cool to see him.
- 49:20I took some pictures of him and he, he stands like guard and if
- 49:25you get too close, he looks at you like he would tear your leg
- 49:28off, even though even though he don't, he doesn't have a mouth
- 49:32to do so. But I would be a little
- 49:34intimidated by those dogs. Honestly.
- 49:36I thought they were really interesting.
- 49:39My, my, I think my Internet might be going funky Tracer.
- 49:43I think that's, I think that's what happened because it looks
- 49:47like we lost Facebook. Yeah, it does look like we lost.
- 49:51Facebook. That's OK.
- 49:52It's not like anybody watches it.
- 49:54Also on Facebook. We got Roku, baby.
- 49:57We got Roku. We got this, we got this, we're.
- 49:59All right, OK, so before we, before we leave, before I tell
- 50:02everybody, you know, like the green flag because I'm trying to
- 50:06buy some time so every host and every DJ can can participate in
- 50:13this crazy number. But Father's Day was you busy
- 50:19yesterday? What what, what did you guys
- 50:21have going on for that holiday? Just a bunch of family over and
- 50:26I mowed grass. I mowed the grass.
- 50:28You mowed the grass. I did it.
- 50:30It took me a couple hours, but it's alright.
- 50:32It started to rain, but then it started like really cooling off.
- 50:36So I really appreciated it. I really appreciated the rain.
- 50:39What'd you do? You know, after I get done with
- 50:43the remote, I felt like I played a game of flag football.
- 50:46I mean, my body was aching the whole day.
- 50:51Like I, I, I slept a lot, you know, It's like, wow, I know.
- 50:56But I, I refuse, I refuse to say that I'm old.
- 51:00I have old tendencies. I have old knowledge, but I
- 51:07refuse to. Say you have wisdom.
- 51:09You have wisdom. Yeah.
- 51:11Yeah, you're not old. Yeah, if you don't remember your
- 51:15birthday and you don't remember how old you are, you can never
- 51:18get old. That's that's my saying you can
- 51:20never get. Old I always say if nobody says
- 51:21happy birthday to me or I don't get a present, I get a stay that
- 51:26I guess stay 46, see. That that's what we need to do.
- 51:30Then don't say happy birthday. Don't say it.
- 51:33Don't say it everybody, because. I didn't have a birthday then,
- 51:35so then, yeah. We're done.
- 51:40Don't say it. So I, I was, I was hoping all
- 51:48the DJs would get on in on this. I will tell you that skydiving,
- 51:55we're still looking for nominations, veterans and 1st
- 52:00responders. If you're a firefighter or
- 52:03police officer, this is your chance.
- 52:05If you're military, this is your chance.
- 52:08OK, if you're in another state, you know, we'll, we'll, we'll,
- 52:12we'll figure something out, but at least get those nominations
- 52:16in and let us know. But whoever is the highest donor
- 52:21for the skydiving will get this neat little Baba doll.
- 52:32It's a bobble head. Bobble head with with the corn
- 52:36holes with with the little. Corn roast.
- 52:43Super cute. Yeah.
- 52:45Oh, well, I mean, you know, and like they sent me one bobble
- 52:48head and I'm like, jeez, this is a lot of money.
- 52:54Now I know why is a lot of money.
- 52:56This thing is huge trace huge, huge.
- 53:03But yeah, with that, with that being said, well, I'll, I will
- 53:08tell everybody. I'm going to give a number if if
- 53:11you guessed anything under 14,000, you're you're already
- 53:18out of the game. OK, I'm going.
- 53:20I'm going to give the final number later tonight so that
- 53:23everybody gets a chance. But I can tell you it's over
- 53:2714,000. Oh wow.
- 53:30Yeah. My my first guess was under but
- 53:32my second guess was over that. Right.
- 53:34Yeah, you got close on the second when I saw that well.
- 53:39When I saw the ice cubes, I'm like, OK, we're really, really
- 53:42cold. We need that.
- 53:43We need to step up our game here.
- 53:45It's got to be a lot more. Well, I have the bat computer,
- 53:50unless you want to end it early tonight.
- 53:54If you have a question to ask that computer, you know, that
- 53:59computer, whatever you want to call it, you know, I, I looked
- 54:02up to, you know, the trending news, what you were talking
- 54:05about with the, the, the mayors. I've never even heard of it.
- 54:09That's the first I've heard of it.
- 54:11I've heard of it, but I really didn't know what it was, what it
- 54:14encompassed, so I was curious to to hear more about it 'cause I
- 54:18didn't realize all the commands were actually using it.
- 54:20The command and commands were using it so.
- 54:24You know, it's, it's funny, I don't know if people realize
- 54:27this or not, but so to get Internet, you have to take like
- 54:35a satellite dish, like DIRECTV or something like that.
- 54:38Yeah. And you have to learn how to
- 54:41point it to the satellite. It's kind of like you do cable
- 54:44instead of the when the signal comes back, instead of feeding
- 54:49that, you know, signal, what it does is it it feeds it kind of
- 54:55like a signal for Internet. And then you have to have like a
- 54:59decoder machine, like a program that basically converts that
- 55:04signal into the Internet. Same kind of thing for cable,
- 55:08except that signal is, you know, cable watching.
- 55:11It's not Internet and yeah, I'm, I'm trying to get one of those
- 55:17decoders because hey, we got a generator.
- 55:19Now MBR can travel. Right have generator will
- 55:22travel. Yeah, yeah.
- 55:26Is there anything that you wanted to check up on?
- 55:29No, I think that's it. But when we used to deploy with
- 55:33the DC, the defense coordinating element, we generated our own
- 55:37Internet. We had our own satellite dish.
- 55:41And so we would create our own Internet source and we would use
- 55:46Sling TV and everything to get the local, local and
- 55:48international news so we could hear what was going on.
- 55:51And we could set up that the inside talk and the outside to
- 55:57get Internet in less than an hour.
- 55:59Right, all of it. That I would.
- 56:01Have to use the decoder. Did you guys just use like a
- 56:03sling box? Well, we, I don't think we had a
- 56:07decoder we had, we had a modem and we had switches and I think
- 56:14it was all in the switches, but we we could set it up in an hour
- 56:17and it was amazing. I was like, I was impressed with
- 56:20the team, like we unloaded a trailer and had everything
- 56:23functional within an hour. We jumped talk from one location
- 56:27to the other and we'd have it set up so that we could, you
- 56:30know, weather was coming or anything we can move out and
- 56:32move to a new location. So having, you know, you're
- 56:35talking about setting up Internet and you know, being
- 56:38mobile. So I mean you truly can be
- 56:41self-sustaining if you have the right equipment.
- 56:43That's I think that's the message there.
- 56:45You know, and and talking about right equipment.
- 56:48I've been reading on TikTok and a lot of social media people,
- 56:53you know, it's, it's, it's one of those it's, it's kind of
- 56:56funny. I think it's a conspiracy that
- 56:59they're like, all right, everybody that marched in the
- 57:03parade yesterday, were they really military or were they
- 57:07paid actors? I mean, look at their steps.
- 57:10Their marching is terrible. Ladies and gentlemen, it's
- 57:14called route step. Are you going to expect us to
- 57:18March for like 8-9 blocks? We route step most of the walk
- 57:24and then when we get closer then you just get everybody on step
- 57:31black on stink. Yep.
- 57:32And then bam, right and cross some people, I tell you,
- 57:38creating a conspiracy because they've never been in the
- 57:40military. Well, I mean, you know,
- 57:43everyone's hypercritical, like they just be 1 little thing and
- 57:46they go, oh, and it's this and you know, they don't see the
- 57:49whole experience. They see one little piece and
- 57:52then they make a judgment on what's happening or what's not
- 57:56happening. So that's The thing is, I mean,
- 57:58and I think we all do that too, is like we all make a snap
- 58:01judgment just based on a snippet of information and we don't, we
- 58:04don't, you know, drill down and see really what's going on.
- 58:09I agree with you. I agree with you.
- 58:12I agree with you. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I, I
- 58:15think it's that time for us to get out of here.
- 58:19We do want to say that we missed MJMJMJ is our spirit flower.
- 58:26It's just not the same here. But when you're not here.
- 58:29So let's make sure that we make it happen next Monday.

- 59:04ducks away as well. Then July 19th, then we go to

- 59:53wars and all that shit was going to happen over the weekend.

- 59:59So I, I think we're going to have a steadfast on this war,
- 1:00:04maybe. By Friday, it's it's fast, it's
- 1:00:07fast attacking. So our prayers and our hearts
