- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, so I got this email, and I posted
- 0:01Speaker 1: it on my Facebook. It says, what's up, guys? And
- 0:03Speaker 1: good morning. My name is Adam, and I just got
- 0:06Speaker 1: into an argument with a friend of mine over the
- 0:08Speaker 1: fact that I don't understand what she does for a living.
- 0:11Speaker 1: She made me feel like a dumb a-hole for not
- 0:13Speaker 1: understanding what a market analyst does.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Oh.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm an electrician. I don't expect to understand how I
- 0:18Speaker 1: put in a lighting fixture, replace a refuse box. And
- 0:21Speaker 1: when I told her that, she said, yes, but I
- 0:23Speaker 1: know that's what you do. She told me she works
- 0:25Speaker 1: on a team to analyze market, and then he gets
- 0:27Speaker 1: into it all, right? And he goes, so now I'm
- 0:29Speaker 1: an a-hole for not understanding what she does and why
- 0:30Speaker 1: is it such a big deal? She's not my girlfriend.
- 0:32Speaker 1: We're just friends. So I posted up there and I
- 0:35Speaker 1: was like, it reminded me of Chandler. I remember on
- 0:37Speaker 1: the show Friends, people never knew what Chandler did for
- 0:39Speaker 1: a living, right? So then there's quite a few comments.
- 0:43Speaker 1: But one comment I thought, this is interesting. It's from
- 0:46Speaker 1: somebody named Amber. Amber says, I've been married 15 years.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I have no idea what it is my husband actually
- 0:53Speaker 1: does for work. I know his title and it means
- 0:56Speaker 1: nothing to me. LOL. I'm not even sure he knows
- 0:59Speaker 1: what he does. And then she goes, your friend is
- 1:02Speaker 1: a little self-important is what she said.
- 1:04Speaker 2: And I was.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Just like, is that, does anybody understand? Is that, is
- 1:07Speaker 1: that real? Like, does there other, anybody else that is
- 1:10Speaker 1: in that situation?
- 1:11Speaker 2: You know, it's fair. I have a friend who like, we,
- 1:13Speaker 2: we would ask what her husband does. She's like, I
- 1:15Speaker 2: don't really know how to explain it, but like, they
- 1:19Speaker 2: say like, you know, the title is venture capitalist.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Nobody knows, but that's what her husband did.
- 1:25Speaker 2: And she's like, I don't really understand.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I know two people that are venture capitalists and they
- 1:29Speaker 1: say it so fast. I don't know if they're, venture
- 1:32Speaker 1: capitalists or adventure capitalists? That one sounds more fun.
- 1:36Speaker 2: That does sound fun.
- 1:37Speaker 1: So you're an adventure capitalist? That's right.
- 1:39Speaker 2: If you're going to jump out of a plane, I
- 1:41Speaker 2: make money.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I'm the guy. I don't understand that. So I just
- 1:44Speaker 1: thought that 877-937-1047, if that's something that is very common,
- 1:49Speaker 1: you don't know what your husband does or what your
- 1:50Speaker 1: wife does, I just don't know. Meanwhile, food news. What
- 1:54Speaker 1: do we got for food news?
- 1:56Speaker 2: And now, John Jay and Rich present Food News. Food News.
- 2:03Speaker 2: John Jay and Rich have Food News. Oh, Peyton, you're
- 2:08Speaker 2: going to be so excited about this. You know what's
- 2:10Speaker 2: making a huge comeback in the liquor-getting-drunk world? Ooh, tell me, what?
- 2:14Speaker 2: It's the Appletini. It is the drink, the iconic 90s drink,
- 2:19Speaker 2: is fall's trendiest drink. It's vodka, sour apple pucker, in
- 2:23Speaker 2: lemon juice, shaken over ice. And apparently, in bars across
- 2:27Speaker 2: the land, that's what people are drinking at restaurants and
- 2:29Speaker 2: bars more than anything else. That sounds delicious. I've never
- 2:32Speaker 2: heard you mention an Appletini, though. I love a good martini.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Any kind of teeny. So I would definitely love an Appletini.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Appletini's on the run. Taco Bell letting celebrities pick your
- 2:41Speaker 2: dinner now for National Taco Month. They're offering favorite orders
- 2:44Speaker 2: from Kevin Hart, Paris Hilton, and Doja Cat. Each meal,
- 2:48Speaker 2: four bucks. Who's this?
- 2:49Speaker 1: Who's this?
- 2:50Speaker 2: This is Taco Bell. So Doja Cat, Kevin Hart, Paris Hilton.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Did I miss one there?
- 2:55Speaker 1: You know, if those are real, I would really, really
- 2:58Speaker 1: be into that if it's really.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I'm into it because it's a $ 4 meal.
- 3:02Speaker 1: If a $ 4 meal is great, but if you tell
- 3:05Speaker 1: me that's literally what Doja Cat gets, I would be
- 3:07Speaker 1: so jacked to get her food.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so. And as I said, there's going
- 3:10Speaker 2: to be a special $ 1 Tuesday deal for rewards members, too,
- 3:13Speaker 2: so you can get the $ 4 meal for $ 1. Nice!
- 3:15Speaker 2: So you might want to grab that app. And finally,
- 3:18Speaker 2: John Jay, I think this is kind of interesting for us.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I'm a big chili person this time of year, but
- 3:23Speaker 2: who makes the healthiest chili? Wendy's or Culver's?
- 3:27Speaker 1: Well, I've had Wendy's many, many times. I've never had Culver's,
- 3:30Speaker 1: so I'm going to go with Wendy's.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Okay, so Wendy's chili, 280 calories. And let's see, Culver's,
- 3:37Speaker 2: 310 calories. Culver's has more protein, but Wendy's has way
- 3:44Speaker 2: more salt, 1,000 milligrams of salt. And, oh, wait, I
- 3:49Speaker 2: take that back. Actually, 1,500 milligrams of salt in Culver's.
- 3:54Speaker 2: So Wendy's wins, but neither one is shy with the salt.
- 3:57Speaker 2: If you're looking for your salt intake, go get some
- 3:59Speaker 2: chilies from either Wendy's or Culver's. And that is your
- 4:01Speaker 2: food news.
- 4:02Speaker 1: You guys even noticed how cold it was today?
- 4:05Speaker 2: Yeah. This morning? Literally yesterday, Scott, you know my husband
- 4:09Speaker 2: loves the weather.
- 4:10Speaker 1: He's like, the weather has turned. It sure has. It
- 4:13Speaker 1: was 58 degrees. I went outside this morning. 58 degrees.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Oh, so that means it's going to be a little
- 4:17Speaker 2: chilly on Halloween night. Yeah.
- 4:19Speaker 1: That's what I was thinking too.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Which I always low-key was so irritated when Halloween was
- 4:24Speaker 2: a little cold because it totally ruined my outfit. I know. Yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 2: but you should want it to be a little cold.
- 4:29Speaker 2: You know, you should want a little chill in the air.
- 4:30Speaker 2: A little chilly, but not enough where it's going to
- 4:33Speaker 2: ruin my outfit and I need a jacket.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Well, like it was, I went to the Suns game,
- 4:36Speaker 1: preseason game on Saturday. And it was 80. And I
- 4:39Speaker 1: was like, I better wear a jacket.
- 4:41Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 4:44Speaker 1: That's how it is here. That's how it is here.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Now it's 58 this morning. I'm like, dang, man, I'm freezing. Like,
- 4:48Speaker 1: it's cold. But it's such a, it's like when I
- 4:52Speaker 1: walk outside and I feel the cold and I breathe
- 4:54Speaker 1: in the air, I'm like, this is why I live here.
- 4:56Speaker 1: This is awesome. And then I miss the heat when
- 5:00Speaker 1: you walk outside.
- 5:00Speaker 2: That does feel good out of this building.
- 5:03Speaker 1: We should just pick our own weather.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I mean, we're pretty good in Arizona. You get, like, what, six,
- 5:09Speaker 2: five months of pretty nice. And this is, like, this
- 5:11Speaker 2: is the best time of the year. Right now. Yeah,
- 5:13Speaker 2: I think so.
- 5:14Speaker 1: You used to get a Halloween. My wife, and, you know,
- 5:17Speaker 1: we've talked a lot about Mahjong. This game, it's just
- 5:20Speaker 1: blowing up, right? I mean, Kyle, you guys are doing
- 5:22Speaker 1: a Mahjong thing pretty soon, right?
- 5:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:25Speaker 1: My wife got so excited because she got invited to
- 5:27Speaker 1: a witch-themed Mahjong party on Friday. Witch-themed party. And with
- 5:33Speaker 1: apparently some people that are really good at Mahjong. So
- 5:35Speaker 1: she felt that she upgraded her game, the fact that
- 5:37Speaker 1: she got invited to this party. And I've never played Mahjong.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I've looked at it. It seems extremely complicated. I don't
- 5:43Speaker 1: want to know how to play it. And I go,
- 5:45Speaker 1: so when you say witch theme, what exactly does that mean?
- 5:47Speaker 1: I go, you guys dressed as witches? She's like, no.
- 5:51Speaker 1: When you go down to play the Mahjong, there's going
- 5:54Speaker 1: to be like a hat rack that's going to have
- 5:56Speaker 1: witch hats on it.
- 5:57Speaker 2: That's it?
- 5:58Speaker 1: I'm like, that's it?
- 5:59Speaker 2: She goes, yeah.
- 6:00Speaker 1: You get all dressed up. And I'm like, that's it. Huh?
- 6:02Speaker 1: You get all dressed up. Like a witch?
- 6:04Speaker 2: Yeah. No. Not here. She said you just wear the hat.
- 6:07Speaker 1: I don't even think you wear the hat. Well, maybe
- 6:09Speaker 1: you wear the hat.
- 6:10Speaker 2: There's a hat rack. Why would you not wear the hat?
- 6:12Speaker 1: I'm just telling you what she told me. She said
- 6:15Speaker 1: there's a hat rack with witch's hats on it. What
- 6:17Speaker 1: if she.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Goes there and everyone's all decked out and she just
- 6:20Speaker 2: has the hat?
- 6:22Speaker 1: What if? There's a thousand what ifs.
- 6:26Speaker 2: That's as confusing as Mahjong itself.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I don't know if you can play Mahjong dressed as
- 6:30Speaker 1: a witch. Maybe the nails get in the way. She
- 6:32Speaker 1: needs to bring a cloak and have it in her
- 6:34Speaker 1: trunk just in case.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Is Mahjong the game that they're playing in Crazy Rich Asians?
- 6:38Speaker 2: The mom's playing? I believe so. That's the one? Okay.
- 6:40Speaker 2: That looks complicated.
