- 1:34Speaker 5: weather after a big weekend.
- 1:35Speaker 4: You're still not quite a handy, just.
- 1:37Speaker 6: A bit der brain.
- 1:39Speaker 5: I was working on a little trucky today fixing something,
- 1:42Speaker 5: and I kept doing real durbrain stuff like leaving a
- 1:45Speaker 5: spanner in the kitchen and then went to the bathroom
- 1:48Speaker 5: and left a screwdriver and just.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Stuff like that.
- 1:50Speaker 5: Yes, so I just knew that I wasn't operating on
- 1:52Speaker 5: all cylind. Well, this is what happens, of course, Jase.
- 1:54Speaker 5: You know Kezy here is wants to do a couple
- 1:57Speaker 5: of days on the booze and then of course you
- 1:59Speaker 5: run into three four day hangovers.
- 2:01Speaker 4: Yes, just how it goes.
- 2:03Speaker 2: And you're hanging out with Mogi and I and we
- 2:05Speaker 2: do that sort of stuff all the time, you know
- 2:07Speaker 2: what I mean, Just leaving stuff, taking stuff out to
- 2:09Speaker 2: the car, leaving stuff in the car, all that sort
- 2:12Speaker 2: of jazz.
- 2:12Speaker 5: Last night after the show, walked to my car. I
- 2:14Speaker 5: need to discover I didn't have my car keys, yes,
- 2:17Speaker 5: which is a pain in the art.
- 2:18Speaker 6: It's about a seven minute walk.
- 2:20Speaker 2: It's a tiny walk, but it's irritating us. God damn
- 2:24Speaker 2: to come back again, Mogi. What's coming up on the
- 2:27Speaker 2: show today?
- 2:27Speaker 4: Mate?
- 2:31Speaker 3: What's happening on the Big Show with Old mogis.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Another massive day on the Big Show here on your Tuesday,
- 2:37Speaker 4: Old host is going to be talking once again vaguely
- 2:41Speaker 4: about the film and or television production he's doing. I'll
- 2:46Speaker 4: be talking about the transformative magic of makeup, won't you, Jason? Yes, man.
- 2:51Speaker 4: We're also going to be talking to Now, this is
- 2:53Speaker 4: going to be exciting for people, the other half of
- 2:56Speaker 4: the comedy duo that was Sugar and Spice. As you
- 2:59Speaker 4: all know, Jason was in a comedy Joe called Sugar
- 3:01Speaker 4: and Spice. And today we're going to be talking to
- 3:03Speaker 4: Johnny buff who was also the star of The Educator
- 3:05Speaker 4: season four out now on DV and d plush. And
- 3:08Speaker 4: up next, my daughter made a horrifying discovery when she
- 3:12Speaker 4: was putting the recycling out over the course of the
- 3:16Speaker 4: weekend and I've got a question for you about it,
- 3:19Speaker 4: jas you Keasey and the listeners out there. It was
- 3:22Speaker 4: an absolute maser in the anytime.
- 3:24Speaker 1: He's ne Varna The Darchy Big Show weekdays from four
- 3:29Speaker 1: on Radio Hodarky.
- 3:30Speaker 2: You two on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show this Tuesday afternoon.
- 3:34Speaker 4: The time fourteen minutes past four o'clock. Hey, fellas, I
- 3:39Speaker 4: was doing a bit of a cleanup over the weekend
- 3:42Speaker 4: of the house there, and I got my daughter involved
- 3:46Speaker 4: in it as well. Moggi Minogi old, Moggi Minogi there.
- 3:51Speaker 4: And if you can keep you kid busy, men, they're
- 3:53Speaker 4: happy airs, especially if you can make them feel like
- 3:55Speaker 4: they're helping. Yes, man, they're just overjoyed.
- 3:57Speaker 5: That's right, because is that strategy of like getting into
- 4:00Speaker 5: a responsibility.
- 4:01Speaker 4: Right there is. Mum used to do that to me.
- 4:03Speaker 4: She'd say, oh, you should can you clean the bathroom
- 4:06Speaker 4: for me? You're so good at it now. I'd be like, oh,
- 4:09Speaker 4: I'm so good, yeah, yeah, absolutely, idiot, full for it
- 4:11Speaker 4: every time. But so what I did this week last
- 4:15Speaker 4: weekend being I've got Moggie and Ogi to help me
- 4:17Speaker 4: put some recycling out into the recycling. But I said
- 4:19Speaker 4: put it in the one with the blue lid. Then
- 4:22Speaker 4: I got a call. There she was. She was putting
- 4:25Speaker 4: it in the one with the red lid. I said, nah,
- 4:26Speaker 4: not the one with the blue lid. She started taking
- 4:28Speaker 4: everything out. I disappeared, taking everything out and put it
- 4:31Speaker 4: into the bin. Then I'm in the kitchen, I think
- 4:34Speaker 4: putting a new rubbish bag in or something like that.
- 4:35Speaker 4: And she comes in to the kitchen. I could hear
- 4:38Speaker 4: it come out the stairs. She saying dead dead. She
- 4:41Speaker 4: comes in and she's holding a piece of paper and
- 4:43Speaker 4: she said, I found this in the bit. Oh, I
- 4:45Speaker 4: found this in the bit. Now. It was a piece
- 4:49Speaker 4: of paper that was cut into the shape of a
- 4:51Speaker 4: hat at a lot of hearts when you're a kid, keezy.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Out the top of it was what looked like a stork.
- 4:59Speaker 4: To me, it looked like an but it definitely was,
- 5:01Speaker 4: you know, the stork, So I had a stork. The
- 5:03Speaker 4: heart shape combined with the stork made it to me
- 5:06Speaker 4: look like it was an apple. Definitely a heart shaped apple,
- 5:10Speaker 4: but an apple nonetheless. I said what's that and she
- 5:14Speaker 4: said it's a card. I made it for you for
- 5:17Speaker 4: your birthday.
- 5:18Speaker 6: Oh my goodness.
- 5:19Speaker 4: And I was like, oh, well, I don't remember this
- 5:21Speaker 4: at all, yeah, I said, And I was looking at it.
- 5:24Speaker 4: I said, what's the say on it? And she said,
- 5:26Speaker 4: I got all my friends to write their names on
- 5:28Speaker 4: it for you. Oh my goodness, that's really sweet, I said,
- 5:31Speaker 4: but I'll be honest with you, I can't see happy
- 5:33Speaker 4: birthday written on here. I feel like I have seen this,
- 5:36Speaker 4: but I didn't realize that it was a birthday thing,
- 5:39Speaker 4: because obviously that's really special. I wouldn't have thrown it out. Yeah,
- 5:43Speaker 4: I wouldn't have thrown out if I knew specifically. I said,
- 5:47Speaker 4: you know, just on a you know, out of interest.
- 5:50Speaker 4: What's this thing at the top here? Is that a stork?
- 5:52Speaker 4: Because like a stork, but on the stork I had
- 5:55Speaker 4: lots of rectangles drawn, and the rectangle that was the
- 5:58Speaker 4: closest to the top of the love heart was the biggest,
- 6:02Speaker 4: and then they were decreasing in size as they got
- 6:05Speaker 4: to the top of the stem. Do you know what
- 6:06Speaker 4: I mean? I see what are they? She said, that's
- 6:09Speaker 4: a cake. That's your birthday cake. It was a multi
- 6:12Speaker 4: layered like a wedding cake, has all the tears to it.
- 6:15Speaker 4: On top of the so she drawn so drawn. There
- 6:18Speaker 4: was a cutout stalk on top, and drawn onto that
- 6:21Speaker 4: cutout stalk, which is not a cutout stork, It was
- 6:23Speaker 4: just a piece of paper, was a multi layered cake.
- 6:26Speaker 4: It was a birthday cake on top of her heart.
- 6:27Speaker 4: It's very confusing, see why you well, exactly so she
- 6:31Speaker 4: had made me a love heart with a cake on
- 6:34Speaker 4: top of it. And look, I'll be honest with you.
- 6:37Speaker 4: You get so much stuff that comes home from schools.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Oh yeah, reams and reams of paper. And I'd been
- 6:43Speaker 4: talking to earlier that day and I was saying to her, man,
- 6:46Speaker 4: I was like, what's happening. I see, what's this thing?
- 6:48Speaker 4: There's another picture with you know, and they said, people
- 6:51Speaker 4: who helped me? People, And I was drawing of a
- 6:54Speaker 4: whole bunch of different people. I didn't make the cat,
- 6:57Speaker 4: but a whole bunch of different people that help her out.
- 6:59Speaker 4: I said, okay, cool, what are we doing with this?
- 7:02Speaker 4: And she goes, well, we're not throwing it out because
- 7:05Speaker 4: she knows that's my device. I say, oh God, put
- 7:07Speaker 4: in your room and put it away. Yes. I go
- 7:09Speaker 4: into the room an hour later and there's just a
- 7:11Speaker 4: pile that thing that she'd made, with twenty other things
- 7:14Speaker 4: that had come out of her school bag, just on
- 7:15Speaker 4: a pile on the floor, and I said, you got
- 7:17Speaker 4: to put them where they go. Men, they can't just
- 7:19Speaker 4: sit on the floor. She said, I don't know where
- 7:20Speaker 4: they go. I said, I can tell you where they're
- 7:22Speaker 4: going to go if you don't find somewhere to put them.
- 7:25Speaker 4: And she said where, I said, the bin, the gain
- 7:27Speaker 4: and the bin. So then all of a sudden they
- 7:29Speaker 4: get sucked into her room. There is so much wonderful
- 7:33Speaker 4: stuff that comes home, but how much of it are
- 7:36Speaker 4: we honestly expected to keep?
- 7:38Speaker 5: Ye? Err, it's a good point three four eight three.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Let us know your thoughts. You can also call us
- 7:43Speaker 5: on eight hundred Hodarky fifty dollars Reburg of outr Uff
- 7:46Speaker 5: for grabs.
- 7:48Speaker 2: In the meantime, here's quing to the son Age.
- 7:54Speaker 1: The Whole Aching Big Show with Jason, Mike and Kyzy.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Tune in week days at four on Radio hod Red Hot.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Chili Pepper's here on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show this
- 8:05Speaker 2: Tuesday afternoon. The time is four twenty seven, and we're
- 8:08Speaker 2: talking about what to biff.
- 8:09Speaker 4: And what not to bif real kids, that's right. I
- 8:14Speaker 4: had an episode where I was cleaning up the house
- 8:16Speaker 4: over the weekend, Moggie Minogi. My daughter was helping me out.
- 8:20Speaker 4: She found a picture that apparently she had given me
- 8:24Speaker 4: for my birthday. All of her friends had written on
- 8:26Speaker 4: it was a love heart with a multi tiered cake
- 8:28Speaker 4: stacked on top of it. I'd thrown it into the bin.
- 8:32Speaker 4: She was devastated. But the question has been raised here
- 8:35Speaker 4: what do you keep and what do you throw out
- 8:37Speaker 4: when there is a tsunami of you? I want to say,
- 8:40Speaker 4: chit stuff that comes home from school every single day. Yes,
- 8:45Speaker 4: I feel like we've been stitched up by the teachers.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Like it's I cannot store all this stuff in my house.
- 8:51Speaker 4: But my kid feels really connected to it. She thinks
- 8:53Speaker 4: every thing she does is important. Obviously, yes, but to me,
- 8:58Speaker 4: a vast majority of it's got to get some of
- 9:00Speaker 4: it's amazing.
- 9:01Speaker 5: Well, you mentioned being stitched up by a teacher. Mag
- 9:03Speaker 5: you We've actually got Nathan from Dneeda on the line.
- 9:06Speaker 5: Good Nathan, you gun man?
- 9:08Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 9:08Speaker 8: Good?
- 9:08Speaker 4: How are you fellas?
- 9:09Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 9:10Speaker 4: Good mate?
- 9:10Speaker 5: And I understand you're a kindergarten teacher, right.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I have I probably I should have a pud
- 9:16Speaker 1: on the phone.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Yeah, she's kindergartens are the worst actually in terms of
- 9:22Speaker 2: that sort of stuff, little sculptures and pictures.
- 9:24Speaker 4: And all that sort of carry on. Nathan. Oh yeah,
- 9:28Speaker 4: some of us absolute.
- 9:29Speaker 5: But but I understand you've got to You've got like
- 9:33Speaker 5: an agreement going at your kindergarn, Is that right? Yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 5: we gentlemen's agreement with the parents and we go over
- 9:39Speaker 5: some stuff before before they go home, and whether they
- 9:43Speaker 5: want to take it home or not or it might
- 9:44Speaker 5: get lost.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, I think that's the thing, because what it
- 9:48Speaker 4: feels like to me is that the teacher's way of
- 9:51Speaker 4: tiding up the classroom is to tell the kids to
- 9:55Speaker 4: take their school bag and find any bit of scrap
- 9:58Speaker 4: paper in the classroom has or hasn't been yeused and
- 10:01Speaker 4: stuff it in the bag and bring it home for
- 10:03Speaker 4: each of us. Do then have to go through his parents?
- 10:06Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 10:06Speaker 4: It depends if we like, Yeah, that's probably we've got
- 10:13Speaker 4: that little trip.
- 10:15Speaker 5: See that's what it will be. Then thanks for your contribution, Nathan.
- 10:19Speaker 5: We'll hook you up with a fifty little reburg about you.
- 10:21Speaker 4: And here's the thing for having four girls.
- 10:24Speaker 2: As you can imagine, moogi crap loads of stuff and
- 10:27Speaker 2: it's another generalization I'm going to make it tends to
- 10:29Speaker 2: be the other partner that likes all that stuff, wants
- 10:33Speaker 2: to keep all that stuff. And as you can imagine,
- 10:38Speaker 2: in my house we've just got screens.
- 10:39Speaker 4: About My point is, and I often make it to
- 10:42Speaker 4: my wife, when do we even look at this stuff?
- 10:45Speaker 4: You know what I mean? It sits in a cupboard
- 10:47Speaker 4: or in a wardrobe for years and years and years.
- 10:51Speaker 5: It's not for years, but is it even for it?
- 10:54Speaker 5: It's it's for like, to be fair, there is such
- 10:57Speaker 5: thing as too much stuff. But in my bedroom at
- 10:59Speaker 5: high at my parents place, modern Don's, there is a
- 11:02Speaker 5: large draw one draw only with all of my school
- 11:05Speaker 5: stuff that they kept, and there's a nice selection of
- 11:07Speaker 5: like drawings from year eight and blah blah blah blah blah.
- 11:09Speaker 5: But I would say there's no more than ten things
- 11:12Speaker 5: from each year, which is about two clear files worth.
- 11:16Speaker 4: That's right. So then you're talking in that instance, is
- 11:18Speaker 4: about one hundred and thirty items. I get that in
- 11:20Speaker 4: a week, Yeah right, I get that in a week.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, So I must have had because I remember
- 11:24Speaker 5: there was a system at school where you had a
- 11:26Speaker 5: big folder thing every time you did a drawing. You
- 11:28Speaker 5: put it in that folder at the back of the class,
- 11:30Speaker 5: and then at the end of the year, I don't
- 11:32Speaker 5: remember what we did with that folder. I think they're
- 11:33Speaker 5: just like burnt it all.
- 11:34Speaker 4: I thought I would say that'd be the case, because
- 11:36Speaker 4: the further you get away from it in your mind
- 11:38Speaker 4: the better, because otherwise it's every single thing because it's
- 11:40Speaker 4: so recent, it's the best thing you've ever done. Yes,
- 11:42Speaker 4: is a real connection. But there's a great text that's
- 11:44Speaker 4: cone through here on three four eight three. This is
- 11:47Speaker 4: a great rule. I'm going to do this. Keep one
- 11:49Speaker 4: hundred percent of the staff for one day, fifty percent
- 11:52Speaker 4: of it for a week, ten percent of it for
- 11:54Speaker 4: a month, and then zero point one percent of it
- 11:56Speaker 4: until they move out, and then give it back to
- 11:58Speaker 4: them when they leave it all away immediately. Cheers.
- 12:01Speaker 8: Bread.
- 12:02Speaker 5: Also this one here from Pete. Wait till you leave
- 12:04Speaker 5: it in your car, wait to you at the gas station,
- 12:06Speaker 5: and then put it in the bin at the gas station.
- 12:07Speaker 2: I've done that, yes, right, yeah, I mean it's lovely
- 12:11Speaker 2: getting beautiful cards from your kids. Yes, but that was
- 12:14Speaker 2: you know, thirty years ago.
- 12:17Speaker 5: Right, But I mean you still have kids. They don't
- 12:18Speaker 5: give you anything nice anymore.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Oh, they still give me nice toaf, but they give
- 12:21Speaker 2: me like, you know, practical stuff, not little drawings.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, you know what I mean, Not little pretty cards. Yeah,
- 12:29Speaker 4: just you know, good stuff.
- 12:32Speaker 5: I once made like a clay frame photo frame and
- 12:36Speaker 5: baked it and put bit to macaroni and drew a
- 12:38Speaker 5: little picture on it and baked that in an oven
- 12:40Speaker 5: and then brought that home to Mom and Dad never
- 12:42Speaker 5: saw it ever again. I don't know what the hell
- 12:45Speaker 5: happened to it, But.
- 12:46Speaker 4: We should get Mone and Done on the phone and
- 12:47Speaker 4: ask them whatever happened to that?
- 12:49Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I'll just do that for you now.
- 12:51Speaker 1: The who Archy Big Show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy
- 12:54Speaker 1: Tune in on Radio.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Pool Jam there on the Radio Hodnikey Big Show this
- 13:00Speaker 2: Tuesday afternoon.
- 13:02Speaker 4: The time is four forty two now, fellows. I'm looking
- 13:04Speaker 4: at our schedule for today's show, and I see.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Kiwi Pong is back. When the bloody hell did that happen?
- 13:11Speaker 5: Yeah, it is back, Jase. I'm not sure when exactly
- 13:14Speaker 5: the ACC and Huduki decided to bring it back, but
- 13:16Speaker 5: I can confirm that it's already sold out. What yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 13:21Speaker 5: the event is sold out. It is the World Series
- 13:23Speaker 5: of Kiwi Pong, right thanks to Sobier, which is special
- 13:27Speaker 5: gummies that you take after a night out and then
- 13:29Speaker 5: you'll wake up fresh the next day.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Right.
- 13:31Speaker 5: But the grand prize is ten thousand and six dollars.
- 13:36Speaker 5: It's going to be its Sweatshot Brew Kitchen, which is
- 13:38Speaker 5: in Auckland on Saturday, November twenty ninth. It is one
- 13:41Speaker 5: hundred percent sold out. However, there are two team spots
- 13:44Speaker 5: left that you can only win at hduky dot co
- 13:47Speaker 5: dot nz.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Wow. I sort of feel like we should have a
- 13:50Speaker 4: big show team, shouldn't.
- 13:51Speaker 6: We I'm already doing it.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I having a big show. Teach. How are you
- 13:54Speaker 4: doing it with Mania? Yes? That's not the big what man?
- 13:58Speaker 5: What were you guys going to do it?

- 14:00Speaker 4: Be offered to it? Yes's graceful. What the hell? Keys?
- 14:04Speaker 9: He?
- 14:04Speaker 5: Well, well, no, that's fine if you want, because I'm

- 14:12Speaker 5: It's on a Saturday.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I love doing stuff on Saturday. You'll be
- 14:16Speaker 4: there are jays. Oh what Saturday did?

- 14:41Speaker 4: Why you went out to be I'm busy. In that conversation,
- 14:43Speaker 4: you said you weren't keen. I said, I was keen
- 14:45Speaker 4: the whole time, said he was really keen. That's what
- 14:47Speaker 4: I was thinking. You're hearing what you want to hear.
- 14:49Speaker 4: I said, I'm keen. I'm keen.
- 14:51Speaker 6: I thought you're like, oh no.
- 14:52Speaker 4: I'm keen. It was Jace that was doing that, remember,
- 14:55Speaker 4: and he said, Siri about it Keezy and Mogi.
- 14:58Speaker 6: Yeah you can. I'll be there between What time is it,
- 15:02Speaker 6: I'm not sure.
- 15:03Speaker 4: We'll probably get about ten am or something like that.
- 15:05Speaker 6: I think it starts maybe eleven.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, on.
- 15:08Speaker 2: The provisor of course, Fellers. I'm prepared to give up
- 15:11Speaker 2: my place.
- 15:12Speaker 5: You don't have a place if if you win, like
- 15:15Speaker 5: ten k.
- 15:16Speaker 4: It's a big show win you know what I'm saying.
- 15:21Speaker 2: That?
- 15:21Speaker 5: Yeah, because you haven't loved a single Kii pong ball.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Well I gave up my spot. You know you guys
- 15:26Speaker 4: could do this tonight. Okay, Well now we'll literally them
- 15:29Speaker 4: back in. Okay, you can come back in.
- 15:31Speaker 2: What as I say, you're in now?
- 15:35Speaker 4: Yeah? Do you want to be in or not? Siri?
- 15:38Speaker 6: Stop talking?
- 15:41Speaker 5: Dot Co dott Is if anyone listening wants one of
- 15:43Speaker 5: those two final spots, will work out the details of
- 15:45Speaker 5: our team. I think we're our team's meeting at six
- 15:48Speaker 5: a m. On that Saturday morning. But when it takes
- 15:50Speaker 5: it all, when it takes it all, it's one thing
- 15:51Speaker 5: I want to check. And the other thing I want
- 15:53Speaker 5: to check is that the finalists can't split the winnings
- 15:55Speaker 5: and say we're not playing.
- 15:56Speaker 4: I don't like that.
- 15:58Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's a hell of an event. If you
- 16:02Speaker 5: are Kean, all you need to do is grab a mate,
- 16:03Speaker 5: think of a team name for the big show. Well,
- 16:06Speaker 5: that's obviously our team name, but for people that want
- 16:09Speaker 5: to get one of those last two team spots, grab
- 16:11Speaker 5: a mate, think of a name, and head to holdaki.
- 16:13Speaker 5: Dot Co Dottings in and you could win over ten
- 16:15Speaker 5: thousand dollars.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Feellas, feellas, how good? Oh ship.
- 16:21Speaker 6: Blink one eight two.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I suppose the Hdarchy Big Show weekdays from four on
- 16:28Speaker 1: Radio Hodarky Green Day.
- 16:30Speaker 2: There on the Radio Hodarchy Big Show this Tuesday afternoon.
- 16:34Speaker 4: Let's talk TV.
- 16:37Speaker 2: What's on the Telly with Mike Minogue p.
- 16:44Speaker 4: Is TV guys. I've got so much to talk about.
- 16:51Speaker 4: I've been watching some really great, great staff. But I
- 16:53Speaker 4: overheard a conversation when I got to work today and
- 16:57Speaker 4: I simply cannot take up any more time. Because I
- 17:00Speaker 4: know that Kezy has got some great chat around a
- 17:04Speaker 4: show he's been watching. I really want to give him
- 17:06Speaker 4: the floor. So, Jace, I understand you probably want to
- 17:09Speaker 4: talk about something, but I did.
- 17:11Speaker 6: Well, you can just let me talk for a wee bit.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Yeah, the game before or afternoon, I'll go before.
- 17:18Speaker 5: Look, he hates that day, oh, Jason man. He likes
- 17:20Speaker 5: to be the big dog, you see, and he hates that.
- 17:23Speaker 5: So I just finished up watching the latest season, well
- 17:26Speaker 5: the only season of Celebrity Traders UK. Yeah all right,
- 17:30Speaker 5: I've talked about it before. It's on three now. It
- 17:31Speaker 5: is the best reality TV show. I've ever watched man
- 17:35Speaker 5: it is that? Is it better than Jersey Shore. I
- 17:38Speaker 5: haven't watched Jersey Shorty. Sure, I didn't watch those Island.
- 17:42Speaker 5: It's better than Busy Island. Just but seriously, it is funny.
- 17:47Speaker 5: You can watch it with your partner. You're both entertained.
- 17:49Speaker 5: And the reaction, especially the final was it was just brilliant.
- 17:53Speaker 6: The talent involved.
- 17:53Speaker 5: If you like Ted Lasso, you got Nate the Great there.
- 17:56Speaker 5: If you like footy, you've got Joe Mahler there. If
- 17:58Speaker 5: you like comedy, you've got Joe Wilkinson and Stephen Fryan,
- 18:01Speaker 5: just all these great, top level talent. Yeah, and it
- 18:04Speaker 5: is only nine episodes and it is absolutely brilliant.
- 18:07Speaker 4: I heard you cried at the end.
- 18:09Speaker 5: I didn't cry. I was talking a bit our Dasha.
- 18:12Speaker 5: She cried it was you. Oh yeah, yeah, I whipped
- 18:16Speaker 5: at the end.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Did your wife cry? No?
- 18:18Speaker 5: But I can see why you would cry because it
- 18:20Speaker 5: was It's quite an intense game because it involves seriously
- 18:23Speaker 5: lying to these and these people are all friends, their
- 18:26Speaker 5: fellow comedians and stuff, and you have to light to
- 18:28Speaker 5: them for days.
- 18:29Speaker 6: So seriously, best reality show I've ever watched.
- 18:32Speaker 4: I had to watch that based on your recommendation, Kezy,
- 18:34Speaker 4: all right, cool, can't wait for you.
- 18:35Speaker 5: To come in and beg it can't wait on the
- 18:39Speaker 5: reality scale. Trader's uk on three. Now you can go now, Jay,
- 18:43Speaker 5: so man, look at him all sheepish. Now he's been
- 18:46Speaker 5: he's he's packing a sad and then come on.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Jason said, I watched a movie called Frankenstein. Yes, the
- 18:55Speaker 2: new one, Del Toro, Del Toro. I had to keys
- 18:58Speaker 2: it an old friend of I had to keyes it.
- 19:01Speaker 2: And by that I mean split it into two nights.
- 19:05Speaker 2: She's a long or something like that. Stupid, it's a long, right.
- 19:12Speaker 2: I think we all know the story of Frankenstein. It's
- 19:14Speaker 2: basically taken a tolld from the perspective of the creator
- 19:18Speaker 2: of said monster, and then from the perspective of said monster.
- 19:22Speaker 5: It's told for the perspective of Frankenstein. He's the guy
- 19:24Speaker 5: that makes the monster that everyone calls Frankenstein. It's Frankenstein's monster. Yes,
- 19:29Speaker 5: where it's doctor Frankenstein that makes them look.
- 19:31Speaker 2: I really enjoyed it visually amazing, just very well well told,
- 19:36Speaker 2: very lavish, very well acted, quite dramatic. I really enjoyed it,
- 19:42Speaker 2: and I've got to I've got to be you know,
- 19:44Speaker 2: it whilst too long, I mean even over two nights,
- 19:47Speaker 2: that's too long.
- 19:48Speaker 5: We three hours, that sounds like a three night.
- 19:50Speaker 2: So but definitely if you've got a you know you're
- 19:55Speaker 2: feeling a bit hairy on a Sunday afternoon it's raining outside,
- 19:59Speaker 2: just in your entire afternoon watching it, I'll give it
- 20:03Speaker 2: three point four buzzies.
- 20:05Speaker 4: It's not that's a lot.
- 20:06Speaker 5: That's bad.
- 20:07Speaker 4: What you said three point five busy? Still is it
- 20:11Speaker 4: losing points because it's too long? I heard some of
- 20:13Speaker 4: the dialogue was a bit on the nose. I felt
- 20:16Speaker 4: some of that. They people felt that some of the messaging,
- 20:18Speaker 4: which should have been a bit more subtext, was a
- 20:20Speaker 4: bit on the nose. No, a little bit obvious towards
- 20:23Speaker 4: the end. No, I didn't.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it did get a bit of obvious
- 20:25Speaker 2: in parts, but it was just visually really fun to watch.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Right. But still three and a half stars, Oh my goodness,
- 20:32Speaker 4: great actors, great directing, looked amazing. Three stars. Did I
- 20:35Speaker 4: say three and a half? Did I when I meant
- 20:37Speaker 4: three point seven buzzies? Yeah?
- 20:40Speaker 5: Okay, I'll take it.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Still came to watch it, Hey, what heaps coming?
- 20:46Speaker 2: Out after five, including we've got to sort out our
- 20:48Speaker 2: pizza party on tour.
- 20:50Speaker 5: I've got a bone to pick with old Hoidy jum
- 20:53Speaker 5: and how you.
- 20:54Speaker 6: Can do it just quickly.
- 20:56Speaker 5: We've got another copy of the Hoduckey Big Show Limited
- 20:58Speaker 5: Edition vinyl to give away.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Oh how good.
- 21:00Speaker 5: We'll be doing that after five as well, which is and.
- 21:02Speaker 2: The one and only Johnny Bruff from Educators is coming
- 21:05Speaker 2: and will be chatting to him.
- 21:06Speaker 4: How good.

- 21:13Speaker 1: tune in week days at four on Radio hod Ikey.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Welcome back your mess of bag blones. Hope you are
- 21:17Speaker 2: Tuesdays going along very nicely. Indeed you're listening to the
- 21:21Speaker 2: Big Show brought to you by Reburger.
- 21:23Speaker 5: Handcrafted big years, loaded fries and gourmet eats that will
- 21:27Speaker 5: change the gome.
- 21:28Speaker 7: Dum damn great arm tell you what it was actually, yeah, yeah,
- 21:35Speaker 7: um um, it was great catching up.
- 21:39Speaker 4: With the fels done underned him from Reburger. Oh yes,
- 21:42Speaker 4: my god, it's good food.
- 21:44Speaker 5: It is good food. Mogi actually took someone snuck it
- 21:47Speaker 5: into the beer festival, Yes he.
- 21:48Speaker 4: Did, well. I carry it was an open carry. That
- 21:51Speaker 4: was an open carry I had the bag little setral
- 21:54Speaker 4: screwed it up at the top and I just walked
- 21:56Speaker 4: in with it right in front of me, and they
- 21:59Speaker 4: didn't stop me. What would you Well, they get it. Yeah,
- 22:02Speaker 4: totally gets it when you've got the They could have said, look,
- 22:05Speaker 4: we've got people in here that sell food, but they
- 22:07Speaker 4: went sell on the good stuff. Yeah.
- 22:09Speaker 5: And you know, it's interesting as I saw there was
- 22:11Speaker 5: a security guard off to the side who noticed Moogi
- 22:13Speaker 5: with a little satchel of reburger because they give it
- 22:15Speaker 5: to you in satchels, and he went to come over
- 22:18Speaker 5: and inspect it. And then the other guy put his
- 22:20Speaker 5: hand in front of his chest and said, hey, don't worry,
- 22:21Speaker 5: that's it's full of crave with his street food, freshly made. Yeah,
- 22:25Speaker 5: And he said, oh, you're fair enough. I'm just let
- 22:27Speaker 5: him through.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Can I just make the point you don't get between
- 22:29Speaker 2: a man and his rebururger?
- 22:31Speaker 4: No exactly, you know what I'm saying, Yeah, or's reburger
- 22:34Speaker 4: or has reb a gear? Yum? Yeah?
- 22:38Speaker 2: Hey, speaking of yum, I'm gonna be talking pizza parties next. Yeah.
- 22:43Speaker 5: We need to establish some rules or lack thereof. Yeah,
- 22:46Speaker 5: this is what we try to address. Jas you try
- 22:48Speaker 5: to make us feel guilty. Anyway, we'll get into it next.
- 22:51Speaker 5: In the meantime, who's this.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Drick Man Geese the whole actually big show with Jace,
- 22:57Speaker 1: Mike and Kezy. Tune in week days and four on
- 23:00Speaker 1: radio Holdy.
- 23:00Speaker 2: David Bowie there on the radio Hodarchy Big Show this
- 23:04Speaker 2: Tuesday afternoon. The time is twelve minutes past five o'clock.
- 23:08Speaker 4: You're gonna wipe that out, Oh major.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Shown show me the meeting, show meeting is now in Roguish.
- 23:18Speaker 5: Calling a show meeting, and Pugs is here by the way. Yeah,
- 23:21Speaker 5: Now people won't be aware of this. We might have
- 23:24Speaker 5: mentioned it once or twice. But whenever we go on
- 23:25Speaker 5: the road, like we've just been to Dunedam, sometimes we
- 23:28Speaker 5: like to go back to Hoidy Jay's room and have
- 23:30Speaker 5: a pizza party. Now we've done this once and I
- 23:34Speaker 5: believe that was in Tartanaki, Pugs Taranaki. We went to
- 23:37Speaker 5: back to Hoidy Jay's room maybe about nine thirty or something.
- 23:40Speaker 5: We ordered pizza and we watched a Jean Claude van
- 23:43Speaker 5: Dam movie. There was also one other time that I've
- 23:46Speaker 5: just thought of.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Thank you, Pugs.
- 23:47Speaker 5: Yes, where was that?
- 23:48Speaker 10: We're your room, in your room where we ordered pizzas,
- 23:52Speaker 10: and Hoidy j tunes up at the door and helped him.
- 23:54Speaker 5: Say at the Black Clash, that was the last tote
- 23:57Speaker 5: of a Black Clash. Yes, we ordered pizzas. That was
- 24:00Speaker 5: that's eleven thirty pm. The reason we ordered pizzas because
- 24:04Speaker 5: it was all that we could order. It started this
- 24:05Speaker 5: thing called a pizza party. And Jace, you've been trying
- 24:09Speaker 5: to get another one of those off the ground recently,
- 24:11Speaker 5: haven't you. You've done the last couple of those broadcasts
- 24:14Speaker 5: we've done out of town.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Yes.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Absolutely, It's just an opportunity to spend some time with
- 24:20Speaker 2: the Fells, you know in a hoody Ja shout the
- 24:24Speaker 2: fellows a bit of a treat and we can just
- 24:26Speaker 2: sit around. That's a new developer, right, watch a movie
- 24:31Speaker 2: to give them and bond and stuff like that.
- 24:35Speaker 4: So yeah, for sure I want a fond of them.
- 24:37Speaker 6: Jace.
- 24:38Speaker 5: You sent through the Pizza party inviote at like nine
- 24:40Speaker 5: o'clock or something whilst we were internedd having an awesome time,
- 24:44Speaker 5: and it felt like my partner was at home being.
- 24:48Speaker 6: Like, oh, come on and watch a movie with me.
- 24:50Speaker 5: Well, we're having a good time. That's what it felt like,
- 24:52Speaker 5: and I had to choose between the two.
- 24:54Speaker 10: Can I also note the bfist was still going at
- 24:56Speaker 10: that time? Yeah, nine pm on that night, it was
- 24:59Speaker 10: still ten thirty event, Jase.
- 25:00Speaker 5: You know, we were hanging around.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Catching up with the punters that had come.
- 25:04Speaker 5: To see us and you. Yeah, and I was getting
- 25:06Speaker 5: guilt tripped into coming home to have a pizza pace
- 25:08Speaker 5: like we yes, we will, but let's do it at
- 25:09Speaker 5: like eleven thirty or something.
- 25:10Speaker 6: Once we finished. Yeah, that's my point.
- 25:12Speaker 5: And then Mike, was there anything you wanted to add
- 25:14Speaker 5: about pizza parties?
- 25:15Speaker 4: Well, I don't feel like I should see it really
- 25:17Speaker 4: because I've never been to one. Actually, I guess. I
- 25:20Speaker 4: guess I've never been invited, and so I don't feel
- 25:22Speaker 4: like I should contribute to what is something that you
- 25:25Speaker 4: guys have got together?
- 25:27Speaker 3: Can I call bs on that?
- 25:28Speaker 10: Because we had a pizza party yet the last Magic
- 25:30Speaker 10: Round and Keesy wasn't there for it.
- 25:32Speaker 3: He was out with Manyah.
- 25:33Speaker 4: Oh really, and we were in you one of.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Your hotel rooms and we had a pizza party and.
- 25:38Speaker 4: We watched that movie Heathers. Well, listen, yeah, Fowls. That's
- 25:43Speaker 4: all ge.
- 25:44Speaker 6: No, don't put on a sad voice.
- 25:45Speaker 4: Come on, man, I'm saying you were certainly invited, Mogi.
- 25:48Speaker 2: I just you know, when I say pizza part I
- 25:51Speaker 2: mean big show pizza bah.
- 25:52Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:53Speaker 6: Why did you make a separate group chat with just
- 25:55Speaker 6: me and Pugs in it?
- 25:56Speaker 4: Then?
- 25:56Speaker 5: I thought that was weird called pizza party?
- 26:00Speaker 4: Just you know, Bracket, don't tell Moggie, Bracket.
- 26:03Speaker 2: I got some pizzas in and stuff and that's all.
- 26:07Speaker 4: I hear your point, Fellas and old look at it.
- 26:10Speaker 4: Look's the table twenty to nine. You're sending in a
- 26:14Speaker 4: text message to the group saying, Jays feels the Fellows
- 26:17Speaker 4: aren't really into pizza Knights twenty tonight. I just don't
- 26:20Speaker 4: know how to tell him less than an hour and
- 26:23Speaker 4: a half after the show.
- 26:25Speaker 5: Are you kidding me?
- 26:26Speaker 4: I thought it was next morning at seven thirty nine.
- 26:29Speaker 4: There's a pizza Hero in my room. Fellas just that
- 26:32Speaker 4: I'd order it for the fellas and.
- 26:37Speaker 5: It's not even dark yet, and we're getting gilded over
- 26:39Speaker 5: the pizza. Pizza parties from now on have to occur
- 26:43Speaker 5: after ten thirty. I think that's very reasonable.
- 26:47Speaker 4: And then there's a follow up message here your mates
- 26:51Speaker 4: from the broadcast that we're wearing the Jason Hoyt shirts.
- 26:54Speaker 4: Were keen to join your pizza party then from Jason,
- 26:58Speaker 4: that's nice. A couple of fellows that want to spend time.
- 27:01Speaker 5: Oh god, Okay, okay, new real sote. Okay. If we're
- 27:06Speaker 5: in a small town, after nine, pizza party. If we're
- 27:10Speaker 5: in a city like Dunidan, christ it's willing to pizza
- 27:12Speaker 5: party after like ten thirty.
- 27:15Speaker 4: I'm always down for a pizza party because I I'm
- 27:17Speaker 4: like you, you know, I'm exhausted after putting everything into
- 27:22Speaker 4: it mentally and physically for the live show. So I'm
- 27:24Speaker 4: ready to go back to bed. So quarter pout seven,
- 27:26Speaker 4: half our seven, I'm ready for a pizza party, lights
- 27:28Speaker 4: out of eight, good stuff Magie.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Well listen, I'll take that on board, and yeah, you know,
- 27:39Speaker 2: and just you know, make sure that next time, how
- 27:43Speaker 2: about this, I'll I'll wait to order the pizzas probably
- 27:47Speaker 2: till after eleven.
- 27:49Speaker 6: You've literally never ordered the pizzas for us, this is this.
- 27:53Speaker 5: Is bullshit, man, God, here's going to Roses.
- 27:56Speaker 1: The whole Rochy Big Show was jas, Mike and Kyzy tune.
- 27:59Speaker 2: In four the exponents there on the radio Hodarchy Big
- 28:05Speaker 2: Show this Tuesday afternoon.
- 28:07Speaker 4: The time is five twenty three.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Now do you want to win a very exclusive vinyl
- 28:13Speaker 2: New Zealand, i e. The Big Show vinyl and our
- 28:18Speaker 2: origin story. If you do, give us a call right
- 28:22Speaker 2: now on oh eight hundred Hodarchy.
- 28:24Speaker 5: Yeah, that's right. Limited Run already sold out things to
- 28:26Speaker 5: mates at Holiday Records for making it all possible. It
- 28:29Speaker 5: is a very open and honest chat of how The
- 28:32Speaker 5: Big Big Show started, hiccups we experienced along the way,
- 28:35Speaker 5: a few of our favorite ever moments.
- 28:37Speaker 4: I mean, no, you go, mate, Well, we're just saying
- 28:40Speaker 4: more chatting about it while you're away yesterday, haughty Jay.
- 28:43Speaker 4: And it turns out because we're interested to see how
- 28:46Speaker 4: we went on the vinyl charts. Switch amused every every
- 28:49Speaker 4: week and we thought we would have got on there
- 28:51Speaker 4: because we sold thousands of copies and no time flat.
- 28:55Speaker 4: They don't measure it because it's not music, so it
- 28:58Speaker 4: doesn't count towards chat music, which I think is weird
- 29:04Speaker 4: when you show that it's a vinyl and it's been sold,
- 29:06Speaker 4: So it'd be like any comedy or any kind of
- 29:08Speaker 4: like you know, Kevin Bloody Wilson Beck in the Day
- 29:11Speaker 4: or twelve on the chats because it's album sales.
- 29:14Speaker 5: The other the other interesting thing too is Mogie actually
- 29:17Speaker 5: looked at the album charts and the albums that are
- 29:19Speaker 5: and it wasn't it Pink Floyd.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Pink Floyd. The Wall is number two? Still?
- 29:24Speaker 5: Yeah, But then you've got Tata Swift in their whole time.
- 29:28Speaker 4: Is in there, Harry Styles is in there, three three albums,
- 29:31Speaker 4: we've got Queen Queen's two albums, craziness. Get a nicky
- 29:36Speaker 4: mad BASSI how's life? Bloody good fellows? Good on you mate?
- 29:41Speaker 2: Tell me Nick, what do you do for a crust
- 29:45Speaker 2: a music shop?
- 29:50Speaker 4: Just on that front? What do you think about what
- 29:51Speaker 4: Moggie was just saying.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I mean, surely our vinyls should be should have been

- 32:53Speaker 9: wat bass rig and it's going to be like a
- 32:56Speaker 9: nightmare witch thunderstorm.
- 32:58Speaker 3: And cup goth poetry.

- 33:13Speaker 4: Well, we can plug educators for me and a smart
- 33:17Speaker 4: smart look.
- 33:17Speaker 2: I think Johnny can plug as many things as he wants,
- 33:20Speaker 2: you know what I mean, sort of And just on
- 33:23Speaker 2: that front, Johnny, do you do much sort of live
- 33:25Speaker 2: stuff still?
- 33:26Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 33:27Speaker 3: Do I play clown of thorns, goth basis beat.
- 33:30Speaker 4: Poet, Yeah, yeah, that's the main character.
- 33:33Speaker 9: Yeah, and the and the comedies. And when things go wrong,
- 33:36Speaker 9: like it bases out of tune.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Wet doing doing doing doing doing.
- 33:40Speaker 9: Yeah, And that's the funniest part of the rest of
- 33:42Speaker 9: It's just awkward unrequited love songs.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Well back in the day when we were the old
- 33:46Speaker 2: sugar and Spice days, we took joy and things going
- 33:49Speaker 2: wrong we did.
- 33:50Speaker 4: That was the entirety of our.
- 33:54Speaker 3: We didn't realize we needed to write another ten minutes.
- 33:57Speaker 4: Well, we should point that out and be clear about
- 33:58Speaker 4: that years. That's that, Jay's you, Jay's you and Johnny
- 34:02Speaker 4: were in Sugar and Spies together, which we have talked
- 34:04Speaker 4: about Adam and across the show over the years. How
- 34:09Speaker 4: did you make We shouldn't because we've never done a
- 34:10Speaker 4: proper I think we should do a special podcast.
- 34:14Speaker 8: Yeah. Sure.
- 34:15Speaker 4: In the meantime, just a bit a little run down
- 34:17Speaker 4: for the for the team out there.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Oh you go, Jason doing How we met?
- 34:21Speaker 4: Was that the question? Yeah?
- 34:22Speaker 2: For a college duo had a mutual friend called Brendan
- 34:26Speaker 2: Lovegrove who went to my school deal with and then
- 34:29Speaker 2: ended up going to Johnny's school, Sacred Heart.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:32Speaker 9: And he had he looked, he wanted, he thought his
- 34:34Speaker 9: bono and he had long, long, wavy hair.
- 34:37Speaker 3: And he was awesome.
- 34:39Speaker 9: And he would sit with all the form one kids
- 34:41Speaker 9: with his big here with legs cross and his arms
- 34:43Speaker 9: crossed folded as a seventh former and sit there and
- 34:47Speaker 9: put his hand up and ask annoying questions and just
- 34:49Speaker 9: be just put on a show and I found it
- 34:52Speaker 9: really inspiring. And then I met Jace and all the
- 34:54Speaker 9: deal with boys, and we had an insitant complicity.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Yeah we did, we did, you know, And it may
- 35:00Speaker 2: have been and at the time we were, you know,
- 35:02Speaker 2: having the odd your stone.
- 35:07Speaker 9: Teen spots later, I've just bowled beautiful forty overs at Jason.
- 35:12Speaker 9: He's on a five hundred and it's a piece of
- 35:15Speaker 9: paper and tape and Jason's using a piece of drift wood.
- 35:18Speaker 9: But the cover drives were glorious. I remember you hitting
- 35:21Speaker 9: like five hundred off me. Yes, and we're young enough
- 35:24Speaker 9: that we didn't injure ourselves the good.
- 35:27Speaker 6: Old days, man, they sure were.
- 35:28Speaker 2: But listen and nope, we should do that's to do
- 35:31Speaker 2: a podcast. But in terms of educators a new season, mate.
- 35:36Speaker 4: My wife was actually.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Asking me to find out you've got some bloody big
- 35:41Speaker 2: stars on the show.
- 35:42Speaker 4: This ye had not, you know.
- 35:43Speaker 9: You included Julian Julian Barrett from Yes Wow, Yeah, the
- 35:51Speaker 9: first episode which Tiger's in.
- 35:53Speaker 6: Yeah, wow, Julians, that's really cool.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Yeah, he's my favorite.
- 35:56Speaker 6: How did you get him?
- 35:57Speaker 3: We've also got his hatner, Judy Davis. Julia Davis, who.
- 36:04Speaker 4: Is brilliant as well, by the way.
- 36:06Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, and so she said I'm coming over with
- 36:09Speaker 9: the family, and Jesse calls me and goes, so Julian
- 36:12Speaker 9: Barrett's going to be here.
- 36:13Speaker 8: Oh.
- 36:14Speaker 9: I demanded that we have our storylines intertwined. Yes, So
- 36:17Speaker 9: we did that and it was great.
- 36:19Speaker 5: It's great, man.
- 36:20Speaker 4: Yeah, he's well.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Actually, when I look at him as I performer, you
- 36:25Speaker 2: guys are kind of similar in a way.
- 36:26Speaker 5: Well, to be fair, you could fit in with the
- 36:28Speaker 5: sort of Nold Fielding look as well, you know, like
- 36:30Speaker 5: and him.
- 36:31Speaker 6: One hundred percent.
- 36:32Speaker 3: You're just talking about the heir, do, aren't you.
- 36:33Speaker 5: No, wellout goths too, aren't they, well especially no.
- 36:35Speaker 3: Oh yeah, he plays the goth.
- 36:36Speaker 9: Yeah yeah, yeah, So but Julian Barrett's got this lovely
- 36:39Speaker 9: helplessness to him, which would suit clown of thorns.
- 36:43Speaker 3: He'd be a good clown of thorns.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Yes, now, let's all go to a song because I
- 36:47Speaker 2: really want to knuckle down on educators.
- 36:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:50Speaker 5: Yeah, and there's a special treat. Johnny Jays tells me
- 36:53Speaker 5: your favorite band is Stone Table Pilots.
- 36:54Speaker 3: It's not true.
- 36:56Speaker 1: The hi Archy big show was Jason, Mike and Kyzy
- 36:59Speaker 1: Tune in four.
- 37:02Speaker 2: Indeed, Stone Temple Pilots. Here on the radio Hodarkey Big
- 37:05Speaker 2: Show this Tuesday afternoon, We've got the star of the
- 37:08Speaker 2: hit comedy Educators, Johnny Braff with us. Tell me, Johnny,
- 37:14Speaker 2: where are you at refilming? Are you done and dusted
- 37:16Speaker 2: or is it still going?
- 37:20Speaker 3: We shot that last summer.
- 37:22Speaker 4: Release, Jason. I know times it's released, you won't still
- 37:27Speaker 4: be shooting it, because.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it'd be nice if we were, wouldn't it.
- 37:31Speaker 5: It's on Teams in Plus, by the way, you check
- 37:33Speaker 5: out every episode there and all the other seasons.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Too, Yeah, they're all there.
- 37:36Speaker 5: I was actually supposed to be on that show. I
- 37:38Speaker 5: was supposed to be a dog handler.
- 37:39Speaker 4: Yeah. I had a word to producers, yeah, and managed
- 37:43Speaker 4: to get keys of a job there, and then they
- 37:45Speaker 4: changed the shooting schedule. Key was unavailable and that was
- 37:47Speaker 4: the end of it.
- 37:48Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 37:48Speaker 3: I thought you were going to say that they looked
- 37:50Speaker 3: at the footage and went.
- 37:55Speaker 5: The amount of I've only done like three ad auditions
- 37:56Speaker 5: and every single one I walked away being like, I'm
- 37:58Speaker 5: the biggest idiots in the world.
- 38:00Speaker 3: That's the nature of the beast.
- 38:02Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, okay.
- 38:03Speaker 2: In terms of Educators, though, Johnny, am I right in
- 38:06Speaker 2: saying a heavy improvisation content going on there.
- 38:11Speaker 9: Yeah, so we know what the scenes ideally about, we
- 38:15Speaker 9: want to how we want to end the scene. Guess
- 38:17Speaker 9: what point when to get across and then we just
- 38:19Speaker 9: wing it and we'll get two or three goes at it,
- 38:23Speaker 9: and Jesse Griffin, who's the comedy master with the cans On,
- 38:27Speaker 9: will throw some ideas and then we'll just sort of
- 38:29Speaker 9: maybe if we're getting a bit too sidetracked, to push
- 38:32Speaker 9: us along towards the end because he's we've got to
- 38:33Speaker 9: hurry up as well.
- 38:34Speaker 5: Yes, that must be a nightmare when it comes to editing, though,
- 38:37Speaker 5: you know what I mean, if it's just constantly being improvised.
- 38:40Speaker 4: I think he knows. I think that he knows what
- 38:43Speaker 4: he wants, so doesn't he idea so and then he's
- 38:45Speaker 4: also making notes as well as a script supervisor about
- 38:48Speaker 4: the things that he wants. And it's also he's got
- 38:51Speaker 4: a great ability, Jesse as a director, to be very brutal.
- 38:55Speaker 4: The hardest thing about it, whenever you watch it, doesn't
- 38:57Speaker 4: it Yeah, when you watch it back and you've been
- 38:59Speaker 4: on set, So what about that? But that? But in
- 39:04Speaker 4: every episode should be an hour and a half long,
- 39:05Speaker 4: as far as you're concerned.
- 39:06Speaker 3: But I reckon.
- 39:07Speaker 4: But Jesse is very good at going okay, Yeah, sure
- 39:10Speaker 4: that's funny, but does it also move the story along.
- 39:13Speaker 9: Yeah, we'll just take the funniest bits. And I mean
- 39:15Speaker 9: let Julian Barrett, who plays a detective, let him have
- 39:19Speaker 9: a play. Yeah, because he's special and you know, give
- 39:23Speaker 9: him a good thing. I get to be in all
- 39:24Speaker 9: the scenes just doing the same thing, trying to say
- 39:27Speaker 9: no to all the idiots, and they put and not
- 39:29Speaker 9: put out all the fires I've started.
- 39:31Speaker 5: That's what I like about your character, and it's been
- 39:33Speaker 5: the same for four seasons now, as you always your
- 39:35Speaker 5: job and every episode seems to be having to address something,
- 39:38Speaker 5: but you never actually address anything, as you always get basically,
- 39:42Speaker 5: there wouldn't be.
- 39:43Speaker 3: A show, wouldn't they no exactly?
- 39:44Speaker 4: Which is great.
- 39:45Speaker 5: Yeah, very relatable character.
- 39:47Speaker 9: My favorite part, of course is the storyline of thinking
- 39:49Speaker 9: of my long lost son has found me.
- 39:52Speaker 5: Oh, that's right.
- 39:53Speaker 9: It worked out that I'm his father, but I work
- 39:55Speaker 9: out as we go to lunch that it's he's three
- 39:58Speaker 9: three years out and I'm but I still think I've
- 40:02Speaker 9: got a son, and I just love that storyline so much.
- 40:05Speaker 9: Has so much stuff we did that. You know, as
- 40:07Speaker 9: you say, you've got a hurry up with the story
- 40:09Speaker 9: doesn't get in the edit.
- 40:10Speaker 3: No, I love it.
- 40:11Speaker 5: Well that that wasn't That wasn't the That was the
- 40:13Speaker 5: first episode of season four. That's the one tigers in
- 40:15Speaker 5: as well. Yeah, that's right, and you sort of you
- 40:18Speaker 5: meet your long lost son, you work out, but then
- 40:19Speaker 5: you realize halfway through he is not your son, but
- 40:21Speaker 5: you go along with it.
- 40:22Speaker 4: Any well, yeah, the other characters don't. There they go,
- 40:24Speaker 4: that's not your son. It's not your son, mate.
- 40:26Speaker 3: But he's a good boy, crowded. I've learned him fifteen
- 40:29Speaker 3: grand well, I've given him fifteen great.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Very well played actually by Robbie Nicholas his name there.
- 40:35Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, he was a very likable young fellow. As
- 40:37Speaker 5: soon as he came on, I was like, oh no,
- 40:39Speaker 5: there could be Johnny's Yeah, yeah, it's very similar.
- 40:42Speaker 4: Is that the guy with a mo is he got
- 40:43Speaker 4: a I saw a little clip of that was very funny.
- 40:48Speaker 3: I see you've shaved your mo No, it was glued
- 40:50Speaker 3: on leave me alone.
- 40:53Speaker 5: It was a cool Johnny, why isn't Jason educators question?
- 40:57Speaker 3: Well, marvelous.
- 40:58Speaker 2: I've had the opportunity. The funny story with that was
- 41:02Speaker 2: they literally rang me on the day when I was
- 41:05Speaker 2: in the mall with my daughter and said, can you
- 41:06Speaker 2: come and film now?
- 41:08Speaker 9: And we have to do though we can't change the
- 41:11Speaker 9: schedules because we're shooting in a school.
- 41:13Speaker 3: Yes, and the head master.
- 41:15Speaker 9: I wanted to have a giant obelisk of clay, and
- 41:18Speaker 9: I wanted to be sculpting my ex wife out of
- 41:20Speaker 9: clay and stationary products. And Paul Rachel's producer goes.
- 41:24Speaker 4: No and did that.
- 41:26Speaker 9: No, No, you're stifling my creativity. She goes out to
- 41:30Speaker 9: a real head master's office. If we mash Clan of
- 41:32Speaker 9: the carpet will never get out.
- 41:34Speaker 4: I go in there and into the green room and
- 41:36Speaker 4: Johnny's in there with a massive canvas painting.
- 41:39Speaker 6: Yes, himself turned into the paintings.
- 41:42Speaker 9: Yes, So in the spirit of a rigorous innovation, as
- 41:46Speaker 9: Jason Hoyt and I have always endeavored to strive for.
- 41:50Speaker 9: I wanted my character to do big paintings, inappropriate paintings,
- 41:53Speaker 9: awful ones that were appropriate for school. And that started
- 41:58Speaker 9: as a ton of clay and ended up little paintings
- 42:02Speaker 9: getting bigger and bigger.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Until well, it's very good because one of them is
- 42:05Speaker 4: hanging up in the sick Bait and it's the painting
- 42:08Speaker 4: of the Angel of Death.
- 42:10Speaker 9: And I'm nude and I've gone a little willy and.
- 42:14Speaker 2: If I know you as I do, there would be
- 42:15Speaker 2: some nudity in the.
- 42:19Speaker 5: Well.
- 42:19Speaker 4: Great stuff. Well, Johnny Bruff Educators? Where is it on.
- 42:23Speaker 5: Plus every season?
- 42:24Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 42:24Speaker 5: And I highly recommend it. It's my favorite New Zealand
- 42:27Speaker 5: comedy other than.
- 42:28Speaker 4: Talk Beat, other than talk Back.
- 42:30Speaker 5: Go check it out all four seasons.
- 42:32Speaker 3: Hey, get me in talk Back.

- 42:37Speaker 4: second season?

- 43:04Speaker 5: and his duo.

- 43:05Speaker 4: Jason? Oh god, twenty seven? How long time?
- 43:08Speaker 5: Yeah, a long time. If you miss the chat, it'll
- 43:10Speaker 5: be on today's podcast which comes out at seven thirty.
- 43:12Speaker 4: I've just realized then, so bent you guys broke up
- 43:16Speaker 4: around about the same time as you got together with
- 43:18Speaker 4: your wife. Is your wife the Yoko Ono of sugar
- 43:20Speaker 4: and Spice? I think she might be. Maybe she's fully
- 43:23Speaker 4: the blame.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, now coming up after six o'clock shit chat
- 43:29Speaker 2: and Kezy got a few questions about his little motorbike.
- 43:33Speaker 5: Don't start naming my little Pup Pup motorbike. My Chevy
- 43:37Speaker 5: truck is now known as my little trucky. People might
- 43:40Speaker 5: not take me seriously. Fellers. That's not what it sounds like,
- 43:43Speaker 5: because I can't start it at the moment.

- 44:17Speaker 5: one yesterday.
- 44:18Speaker 8: Before produced to your attention to this nix sword. You
- 44:23Speaker 8: see times and good food and it's weird WORDBLD. You're
- 44:31Speaker 8: diving or tiker World rebuilding this nut sword?

- 45:42Speaker 5: is it a burger?
- 45:42Speaker 4: Is it?
- 45:43Speaker 5: No?
- 45:44Speaker 4: Oh? Isn't it?

- 46:32Speaker 5: because I'm thinking of bringing it back up to Auckland.
- 46:35Speaker 5: It's at the point now where I've just got to
- 46:37Speaker 5: give it a bit of a tune and then i
- 46:39Speaker 5: can take it and get it registered and put it
- 46:41Speaker 5: on the road.
- 46:41Speaker 4: Yeah. Right.
- 46:42Speaker 5: And I was just wondering because you guys used to

- 47:00Speaker 2: It only goes like what you were saying. That top
- 47:02Speaker 2: speed of forty k Well.
- 47:04Speaker 5: Yeah, but that was before I tuned it and had
- 47:06Speaker 5: it running right. Oh right now fifty No, go easily
- 47:10Speaker 5: go over one hundred. It's happy sitting about one hundred.
- 47:11Speaker 5: It's old. It's nineteen seventy one, so it's old, but
- 47:14Speaker 5: you know it's five hundred cc. It goes all good.
- 47:17Speaker 5: So what kind of bike did you have, because mine's
- 47:19Speaker 5: a Honda.
- 47:19Speaker 2: He's got a fast one. Yeah, it's definitely fast. Zuki
- 47:22Speaker 2: keasy yeah, Suzuki ccs.

- 47:41Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, exactly, yeah.
- 47:44Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, okay, we would you be kid.
- 47:46Speaker 4: If I'm going for like optimum speed.
- 47:48Speaker 2: I'll take the saddles off obviously, right, okay, yes, top
- 47:53Speaker 2: probably easy one fifty.
- 47:56Speaker 5: Well, to be honest, if he had a thousand seasons, like,
- 47:58Speaker 5: i'd say almost two fifty.
- 48:00Speaker 4: Yeah, well, but I like to just cruise at one fitt.
- 48:03Speaker 5: That's why it's a boat that's breaking the law.
- 48:05Speaker 2: I wouldn't want to go with you because you'd be
- 48:08Speaker 2: tailing behind at forty.
- 48:10Speaker 6: Now I'll go the speed limit.
- 48:12Speaker 5: What do you want to come for a ride one weekend?
- 48:16Speaker 4: We've always have had a peer you knows, right, okay, exactly?
- 48:21Speaker 4: I mean I don't know.

- 48:33Speaker 4: It's widely considered to be the fastest Harley ever made.

- 48:40Speaker 5: mouse ever.
- 48:42Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I guess one hundred and sixty miles per hour? Kezy.
- 48:44Speaker 4: I mean you probably can't work out what miles are.
- 48:48Speaker 4: It's around about two sixty something like that. Man. Can

- 48:52Speaker 2: I'm riding Bitch with Mogi on that bar SOI you
- 48:54Speaker 2: can feel the throat.

- 49:00Speaker 4: he's sitting behind me in the old Settle there. Yeah,
- 49:03Speaker 4: I can feel his thighs tighten around my bittox because
- 49:07Speaker 4: he is freaking brother.
- 49:08Speaker 5: She's quite keasy, you were saying. You take his legs
- 49:11Speaker 5: and tie them up in front of you like a sweater.
- 49:14Speaker 4: Sometimes you have to when you're going that fast. Yeah,
- 49:17Speaker 4: tie the mica bow like as if I'm doing up
- 49:19Speaker 4: my sports shoes.
- 49:20Speaker 6: Yea, right, yeah, he's double not I do.
- 49:23Speaker 5: Why are you on the back of his bike when
- 49:25Speaker 5: you've got a thousand cc twins Uzuki.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Well, because you know, sometimes it's nice to change it
- 49:30Speaker 2: up a bit, and there's no better feeling in the
- 49:32Speaker 2: world than riding Bitch with Magie.
- 49:35Speaker 5: Yes, all right, Well, so let's go for a ride
- 49:37Speaker 5: maybe in the next couple of weekends, like a Sunday ride,
- 49:41Speaker 5: and you'll bring your what was it, Harley? What was
- 49:44Speaker 5: it called again? That's AX one one for Oh yeah,
- 49:48Speaker 5: it's hard, and Jason, you jump on the back of it.
- 49:50Speaker 5: I just call it to do yeah, yeah cool, all right,

- 50:33Speaker 5: How do you know you were there?

- 50:36Speaker 4: that's true.
- 50:37Speaker 5: Yeah, but we were some blocked up. We had an umbrella,
- 50:40Speaker 5: a parasol, A parasol, yeah, and I had a parasol.
- 50:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 50:44Speaker 5: And I just had a regular umbrella, a barbecue one.
- 50:47Speaker 4: Because the parasols are good because they generally got the
- 50:50Speaker 4: they made out of the paper there. So it doesn't
- 50:52Speaker 4: you know that you're find with the umbrella's keezy that
- 50:55Speaker 4: it magnifies the heat oftentimes.
- 50:57Speaker 5: Oh really no, Well, this barbecue one was designed to
- 50:59Speaker 5: like shield a table of about six people.
- 51:01Speaker 4: Oh, one of those ones canvas.
- 51:04Speaker 2: And you said, even even just spite that your snils

- 51:11Speaker 5: How do you know? I said that?
- 51:12Speaker 2: Well, you said, after you came back and your nose
- 51:15Speaker 2: was so bright red. I said, haven't you got a

- 51:21Speaker 2: she's massive.
- 51:23Speaker 5: I don't remember this conversation, but I must have. It
- 51:26Speaker 5: was weird though, because and I had the parasol, yeah,
- 51:29Speaker 5: and he didn't have any clubs. You just had the parasol.
- 51:32Speaker 5: But then I realized he the handle he could pull out,
- 51:34Speaker 5: and it was just a golf club and the sort
- 51:36Speaker 5: of handle y.
- 51:37Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it was great. That explains where you go
- 51:39Speaker 4: so terribly. Yeah.
- 51:40Speaker 5: Yeah, you need a golf club and club. Good luck
- 51:45Speaker 5: telling him that. Now.

- 54:24Speaker 4: That's no word of a lie.

- 55:03Speaker 4: Yeah, good suffu polite no thank you based on those nicknames, Jason,
- 55:12Speaker 4: He's going to pass. What's the plan tonight, Maygie. Well,
- 55:15Speaker 4: I've got to make coming over. My wife ran into
- 55:18Speaker 4: a maid of mine at the place where she works.
- 55:20Speaker 4: She's working on a movie and she them over for
- 55:22Speaker 4: dinner on a Tuesday night. Am I happy about it?

- 55:51Speaker 5: I'm making a butter of chicken. My wife has got
- 55:54Speaker 5: this amazing recipe which is amazing. It's amazing, it's amazing,
- 55:58Speaker 5: and I'm making it because she's got squash and so
- 56:01Speaker 5: she busy.
- 56:02Speaker 4: She is never home anymore.
- 56:04Speaker 6: So busy.
- 56:04Speaker 5: She's never at home with me. I don't know what
- 56:06Speaker 5: it is, but I'll be making that for her and
- 56:09Speaker 5: it'll be delicious.
- 56:10Speaker 4: Do you check in a bit of an extra spice?
- 56:13Speaker 2: Ah?
- 56:13Speaker 5: Yes, But the interesting thing about this recipe is you
- 56:17Speaker 5: you like cover it in a paste the chicken, and
- 56:20Speaker 5: then you add another paste and with the sauce, and
- 56:22Speaker 5: it just makes it extra because you know you make
- 56:24Speaker 5: it yourself. It's a bit blandish.
- 56:26Speaker 6: Yes, it is amazing.
- 56:27Speaker 4: Can you send me the recipe?
- 56:29Speaker 6: Na, What are you doing tonight?
- 56:32Speaker 8: Well?
- 56:33Speaker 4: Going home obviously, No?
