- Mark Garrett: He's a dictator. He's an authoritarian. He's rogue. He doesn't believe or follow the Constitution. Who am I talking about? I'm talking about the Democrats referring to once again, President Trump. Hello America. I am the chief Mark Garrett. Welcome to your little nation where we believe in and support the rule of law always beginning with the Constitution. of the United States of America. So what am I talking about this time? I'm talking about, of course, Operation Epic Fury, the operation against Iran, the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism and the effort for this country in Israel to eradicate the earth of these evil terrorists and they are evil. So let me break this down real quick for you. Number one, previous undeclared. wars. The Democrats are saying that this time President Trump is a king, a dictator, and rogue because he has to refer to or defer to Congress when it comes to making war. So let me break this down going back almost to the very beginning of this country. The Quasi War 1798 to 1800, naval conflict with France, First and Second Barbary Wars, 1801, 1805, and again The Korean War 1950 to 1953 termed a police action. 36,000 Americans killed Vietnam War beginning for us in the mid 60s and going all the way to 1975 about 58,000 Americans killed the Cold War conflicts operations in Lebanon, Cuba and Dominican Republic and other places that went on for years and years during the war and of course our post 9 11 Wars Iraq, Iran, other covert operations that we don't even know about today that the president ordered and guided throughout that time frame. Something interesting about this. These presidents that initiated and led these military operations, they fell under the Federal's party. What was then called the Democrat Republican Party, the Democrat Party and the Republican Party. So this is across the board when it comes to ideology and political affiliation. Point number two, the War Powers Act that was passed in 1973. Democrats argue that Article One of the Constitution gives Congress authority to initiate and to facilitate and guide military operations. Now, if that's true, if that's so, if it says that in Article One, why would Congress have to pass a law almost 200 years after our founding fathers authored the Constitution? Why would they have to codify the Constitution through a law from Congress? It is clearly not only an unnecessary law that was passed in 1973. It's also clearly unconstitutional because it doesn't say that in Article 1. Article 2 clearly gives the president the authority to initiate and to guide military operations. Point number 3. Democrats are completely inconsistent regarding the act itself. The War Powers Act of 1973. They refer to it when they like it. They disagree with it when they don't case in point. Check out this clip. Here's Nancy Pelosi saying Obama didn't need authorization to bomb Libya. ⁓ Madam leader, you're saying that the president did not need authorization initially and still does not need any authorization from Congress won Libya. Yes. Thank you all very much. It speaks for itself. That operation referring to in that clip was the bombing of Libya undertaken by President Obama. because he thought that Libya was posing a national security threat to the United States of America and our allies. He got no authorization from. Congress and that action, ladies and gentlemen, lasted for seven months. Today we have the Democrats whining about, this going for three weeks, three months, six months, who knows? They did not care then because it fit their political agenda and it was their guy in office. Point number four. We have already been at war. with Iran since 1979, since they overthrew the Shah of Iran. They have declared war on us. Iran and its proxies have killed over a thousand, at least a thousand American citizens, not to mention the untold number of servicemen and women who have been maimed in addition to the ones who have been killed by their roadside bombs and other devices throughout the wars that we've been engaged in. They continuously refer to the United States as the great Satan and are committed openly and regularly committed to destroying the United States. That means you and me, your children and my children are their great Satan in Iran's eyes. So I guess the dims think we should just sit back and wait for an Iranian style Pearl Harbor only this time instead of Aircraft. They want to wait until Iran uses nuclear weapons in Washington, D. C. Or Los Angeles or Orlando or Atlanta and instantly wipe out hundreds of thousands of American citizens. This president doesn't think so. He has the backbone and the conviction and the understanding of who we're dealing with in the form of Iran not to wait for that to happen. And I say thank God for President Trump for doing the hard work and having vision and the guts to do what he is authorized by the Constitution of the United States to do in order to protect American citizen.
