- 2:43whole month of June. I like to recognize my kings, So I want
- 2:50you guys to share this in your circle of influence because you never know what
- 2:55may be dropped here on the Crew podcast. And I tell you, it
- 3:00is a great honor to be able to showcase these kings that are being the
- 3:07change that they desire to see in this world because often been overlooked and under
- 3:16served and underrecognized and all of that great stuff. But I just want my
- 3:23kings to know that I got your back. I am my brother's keeper and
- 3:28I am here to support you. I thank you for all that you are
- 3:30doing. So I need you guys to share this out. This particular king,
- 3:38I personally know him, and he's doing some amazing things. Sometime in
- 3:43spite of what he thinks he's doing, he is doing some amazing things.
- 3:46And I think that he is inmpacked in lives in so many different ways,
- 3:52and I am honored to be able to call him my big brother. I
- 3:58tell you, it's so much about him. He's an author, he's a
- 4:01poet, and he'll do anything to help people perfect their gift and to move
- 4:08in their gift. He is the CEO and owner of Trailblazers Radio, where
- 4:15he give many an opportunity to come on and share their stories, and he
- 4:19gives individuals a platform to amplify their voice. So again, I'm just excited
- 4:29to be able to share him on tonight. So I want you, guys,
- 4:31please, while I bring him up, share this with at least three
- 4:35people in your circle, because you never know who may be on their page
- 4:40that may need to hear what's going to be dropped on tonight. So y'all
- 4:43go on and share while I bring up my big brother, Frederick Beatty.
- 4:57I can't hear you. My micro's muted. Geez always that I'm over here
- 5:03laughing and blushing at the same time. Like that. That introduction was like,
- 5:10what's so? What's so? One point? I appreciate that, Thank
- 5:13you so much, of course you well, I don't know how we met,
- 5:19but we we we've been hanging around for a while now. Oh,
- 5:29just being able to come off this platform and finally get to meet you in
- 5:33person and spend time with you, and I tell you it's truly been amazing.
- 5:40But truly has been amazing just developing those relationships. That's I tell people,
- 5:45it's about building relationships. And I can tell you that that is one
- 5:53that I don't care how long we don't talk. I don't know how long
- 5:56we don't see each other. You're always gonna be my big brother because you
- 6:00know, met my guid mama. So you pun of the family. Oh
- 6:04look at her. I mean, I'm I'm honored that you call me your
- 6:08big brother, and I'm you know, I'm proud. I'm proud to be
- 6:11that. I'm also proud to be your proud that you're my bent, that
- 6:15you my little sister. So I mean, that's the feelings mutual trust and
- 6:17believe the feelings mutual. And you're right, it doesn't matter how long we
- 6:23don't talk to each other, how long we don't communicate with each other,
- 6:26it's always going to be that mutual respect, in that mutual love and care.
- 6:30There definitely, I want people to really truly know who you are.
- 6:39So if you would share just a little bit more about we don't want to
- 6:45tell them everything because I want them to come over and to support your platform
- 6:49and that that you're doing, but I want you to drop some nuggets about
- 6:54yourself that huh will piqued their interest and make them nosy, because that's what
- 6:59we do when we got to go peek around and see what people doing,
- 7:03so piauk their interest. M hmm, Well, where to begin, So
- 7:11let's put it. Let's start from this point forward. A lot of people
- 7:15don't know. But then people the people, A lot of people don't know
- 7:17that I'm a veteran. I started the Navy, served in the United States
- 7:21Navy for three years, served doing dessert shield desert storm. Did get a
- 7:27campaign badge for that because well for being just being just being a participant in
- 7:31the participant in that that conflict. So a lot of people don't know that.
- 7:36But that's not that's not readily, that's not readily. But certain things
- 7:43that people that I want people to really to really know about me is that,
- 7:47jeez, the things that I do are not for not for my self
- 7:53edification, not for my glory, not for my glory, not for my
- 7:59not for me to take credit for. I do things because I want those
- 8:09those people that I impact to be totally impacted. And I also want those
- 8:16people I do things because number one, I want I want First of all,
- 8:22I want I want God to get the glory out of it. Number
- 8:24one, above all things. He gets the glory out of everything I do.
- 8:31And then number two, I want people to be to be impacted.
- 8:35I want people to be inspired by what's been written, what's been written,
- 8:41what's been written, what I write, what I talk about, what I
- 8:46speak upon, all those things. It's there's a there's a lot to There's
- 8:52a lot that I could say about the things that I do, but it's
- 9:00more the people that I impact have more, have more words to say than
- 9:05I could that I could ever say, because they're the they're the immediate benefactors
- 9:09of the things that I I doing, the things that I say. I
- 9:13am a person that tends to keep myself in the back, keep myself in
- 9:18the background. That is, that's been, that's been, who that's been
- 9:22who I that's been who I am for the longest of times. But I
- 9:26remember a few birdies telling the putting things in my ear, saying that you
- 9:30don't need to be It's time for you to come out of the background.
- 9:31It's time for you to be in the forefront. You were one of the
- 9:35people that said that to me, and you kept you kept you kept banging
- 9:39that particular point in my head until all of a sudden I had to I
- 9:45had to be I had to I had to make myself knowing that people and
- 9:48no longer be hidden. I thought being hidden was something, was a good
- 9:52thing because and that's what some people don't know about me. I do kind
- 9:58of. I do keep myself to the to the background, and never to
- 10:01the forefront, because at the end of the day, it's not about me.
- 10:05I don't take even though there are things that people do, I don't
- 10:07take credit for that stuff. You know, I'll say, hey, well
- 10:09I had a had a small role in that. But I try not to
- 10:16take credit for a lot of things because again I'm not a arrogant or a
- 10:20haughty person. There there things, there are things in my life that have
- 10:26been what I had to call humblers, things that are things that have happened
- 10:31to keep me on that straight and narrow and that straight and honest path,
- 10:35that humble path. You know, lose you know, the simple fact of
- 10:41losing the kid. Losing the child will do that, will We'll do that
- 10:43for you, But also understanding that impact and how that and how that kind
- 10:50of how that affected my my life story as it stands, keeps me on
- 10:54that straight and narrow path. You know what I'm saying, because at the
- 10:58end, at the end, at the end of the day, I want
- 11:01I want to be able to make sure that what I pulled, what I
- 11:05pull forward to my granddaughter is something that she can eat, something that she
- 11:11can cherish, and that she can keep for a lifetime, even when I'm
- 11:16gone this and even when I'm gone, when I pass, when I when
- 11:20I do, when I pass on this this network is this podcast network to
- 11:26her. The hope and prayer is that she'll she'll be able, she'll take
- 11:30it and she'll run with it. But she'll she'll do she'll do it,
- 11:33that she'll she'll do it, that she wants to do it, but also
- 11:35doing it while keeping in line, keeping in line with the vision I mean.
- 11:43I mean, there's a lot to say, There's a lot else that
- 11:45I could say. However, you know, if you want to know more
- 11:48about who I am, I mean, it takes it takes to ask.
- 11:54But at the same time, if you want to know more about who I
- 11:56am or what I represent, you can check out our website and check out
- 12:00our podcast. Definitely I recommend checking out the podcast because you get to hear
- 12:09first hand perspective, get to enter at you get to like get to know
- 12:16him. So I definitely would encourage you to go over and follow the podcast,
- 12:22and I will also encourage you to pick up some of his books.
- 12:26You can get a feel of what he's passionate about out those topics that he'd
- 12:35like to talk and you get you some and in some instance you may see
- 12:39aside that you wouldn't normally see because sometimes we tend to write a little that
- 12:50we wouldn't say or share through our writing we do so that that is an
- 12:56outlet that I have used. I want you to kind of how did you
- 13:03get here? What? What made you want to? Because you are creating
- 13:07a legacy that you are doing, and like Shannette, thank you for your
- 13:11service. My nephew is his Navy, so yeah, I appreciate my military,
- 13:22So thank you for your service. H But how how did we get
- 13:28here? To you being CEO of Trailvelazer, there's radio you being the author
- 13:37of I don't even know how many books you got now because I've seen a
- 13:43couple out and you've written in a couple of anthologies me, so how many?
- 13:50And then I've seen you in another anthology, So how many books?
- 13:54You should be up there in a double digits? Now to it if you
- 14:00were not the same yep, co author five as a five as in five
- 14:07that I wrote myself. So I mean, how did we get here?
- 14:11Since? How do we get here? I know the journey wasn't easy,
- 14:22But the fact that you're saying that you're sitting there and you're sharing your story,
- 14:28uh, that that that makes me smile because it gives somebody else hope
- 14:37because I know your journey hasn't been easy. You know, I've read the
- 14:41stories you know you wrote in sic that awareness books, so I know you
- 14:43know what I'm saying. Mm hmmm. So so I applaud you, h
- 14:50for just just being resilient, right and not giving up and it and it
- 14:58and it goes kind of beyond it, go beyond that particular book because that
- 15:01was on that because that book only, that book only really documented one attempt.
- 15:11It didn't document the other two one in twenty twenty and then another in
- 15:18twenty twenty one, So so I didn't document those. However, those two
- 15:24things were Those two are a part, Are were a part, are a
- 15:28part of the journey. You know, how do we get here? Number
- 15:31one by the grace of God. That's one thing. That's one. Number
- 15:33two. It's it took a it's taken a while for me to understand a
- 15:41lot of things, a few a lot of things. One of those things
- 15:43was my value here on this plane of existence. That's one thing. The
- 15:52other thing is that what I've written, what I've spoken about, has value,
- 15:58has value to those who listen to a value of those who want to
- 16:02read it. And it's taking a lot of patience, a lot of soul
- 16:11searching, a lot of looking into my looking into myself to figure out what
- 16:18I needed to do for myself as far as healing myself and going on this
- 16:25journey of self discovery, which is an ongoing process for me again. You
- 16:32know, dealing with the death of a child has been the catalyst for me.
- 16:41It was one of those things that kind of put me in, that
- 16:42put me in a situation to think and try to try to be better as
- 16:48an individual number one, as an individual number two, as a man,
- 16:55try to be a better a better brother, a better friend, father,
- 17:02all those things and it's it has been. It's been a journey that I
- 17:11will never ever there's been a journey that I am immensely grateful for, immensely
- 17:18immensely thankful for. It hasn't had It hasn't been without its ups and downs,
- 17:25of course, because what person's life isn't without ups and downs. But
- 17:33to be here at this spot, in this very moment, it feels good
- 17:40to be in this spot. It feels good to be where I am in
- 17:41this very moment. It feels good to be able to have a platform to
- 17:48speak about certain topics. It's good to be able to be around like minding
- 17:52people such as yourself than so many other people that I've come in contact with.
- 17:57It feels good to be around these type of people, folks that will
- 18:00encourage you and try to push you forward. It feels good to be around
- 18:06a person such as you know, my significant my significant other Monica, who's
- 18:10been that person who's been always in my corner despite my ups down, my
- 18:17ups downs, and my indifferences. You know, it's it's funny that you
- 18:22mentioned about this, that you're saying, we're celebrating our celebrating King, celebrating
- 18:26our black men but and this month is men's mental health money, which nobody
- 18:34really it's been over not that this is not to make this a political thing,
- 18:41but it was overshaped over its foreshadowed by you know, Pride Month.
- 18:47So but it's this has been a journey and I can't say I can say
- 18:56that not every part of now, every step of it has been enjoyable,
- 19:00of course, but I've been able to take the lessons from it and apply
- 19:07those lessons to it so that way I can continue to be a better person.
- 19:11Has it been It hasn't been peaches and cream. Has it been our
- 19:18roses? No? And if I do have roses, those roses have thorns
- 19:21on them. But one of the things I've had to learn is just to
- 19:26embrace where I am at the moment, in this particular moment, and accept
- 19:37that part of it and and keep pushing forward. There's there's been a lot
- 19:41of Jesus and I get them. I get really really emotional when I think
- 19:47about this part of it. There's been a lot of I won't say a
- 19:52lot of, but there's been heartbreak, you know, losing a kid,
- 19:56losing my return, losing my coternal grandmother, and then dealing with the after
- 20:06math and I won't say fallout, dealing with the aftermath of losing my son
- 20:14and then wondering what what, what else is? What else is there?
- 20:19But then also losing a paternal paternal grandmother, you know, someone who was
- 20:26very very very integral in my upbringing as a child. I was blessed to
- 20:34have a maternal and a paternal grandmother and both of them were very very very
- 20:41instrumental in my upbringing as a kid. And to lose those two people,
- 20:47those to lose those two to one of the ones, to lose one of
- 20:52those people that I can I put this, to lose people that were very
- 20:56influential to me. Those besides my mother and my father, my maternal and
- 21:03my paternal grandmother were the most influential people in my life, in my life,
- 21:08aside from uncles and aunts and things of that nature, but those two,
- 21:14those two ladies were very influential. And man, it's I said.
- 21:23It's been a journey, a journey of self discovery, a journey of learning,
- 21:27a journey of just trying to understand, at at fifty one years old,
- 21:37where do you stand in this world? Where do you sit in this
- 21:41world? And the grands in the bigger in the greater world around me?
- 21:47Where do I fit in this world? At fifty one years old? I
- 21:49used to I used to know. I used to know where I fit in
- 21:52the world when I was a twenty twenty something per twenty some odd you're a
- 21:56twenty year old person, twenty some a year old person. Because that was
- 22:02easy, I could I could fit anywhere because I was I was a lot
- 22:07more, a lot more malleable, more, a lot more pliable at that
- 22:11time. Now, as I've gotten older, I asked myself, where do
- 22:17I fit in this world? Where do I fit in this in the bigger,
- 22:21the larger world around me. I know where I fit in my own
- 22:22personal universe, but where do I fit in the larger world? And that's
- 22:29been the question. That's been the question. I've always asked myself, Where
- 22:30do I fit in the larger world? And where do I fit in this
- 22:34larger world around me, that this ever changing world around me at fifty one
- 22:38years old, and that's been my question. I mean, I haven't answered
- 22:42that question yet because that answer is still pending. But as I'm getting but
- 22:48as I get closer to the answer, I'm understanding where I where certain places
- 22:53where I sit, certain certain certain or certain certain places I can and go
- 23:00certain I know that I only I know. I know that I don't only
- 23:03allow certain people in my in my orbit at the time. And I'm really
- 23:11really picky about the people that are allowing that in that space. I don't
- 23:15you know, you and some other other people that you know I can't I
- 23:21won't that I won't mention here, but they know who they are. There
- 23:25are certain people that I allow in that orbit, and that that that very
- 23:29private orbit. But then you know, when I when I pull that perspective
- 23:34out of my own personal universe and look at the bigger world, I'm learning
- 23:40that you know, I'm I'm learning that I'm a square that I'm a square
- 23:45peg trying to fit in, trying to fit in a round hole. That's
- 23:52how I look at that, And I and and and and and and this
- 23:55is the question I would ask someone that may be having those same out where
- 24:00do you think you should fit in this world? Or should you fit?
- 24:04Should we be trying to find a place to fit or should we just be
- 24:10able to be free and just be able to adapt and just be able to
- 24:17flow? And and I want to go back to something that you said.
- 24:19I haven't lost uh a child, but I've lost both of my parents and
- 24:29all of my my my grandparents. I have no parents living. And it
- 24:38does not you know. I hear people say that it gets easy as the
- 24:44time goes by. Well I beg to different. You. You just learn
- 24:49how to be stronger. You just learn how to cope for that day,
- 24:57that moment, that hour. It becomes how am I going to get through
- 25:04this day, or get through this hour, or get through this minute?
- 25:08You know, because some days my mom's been gone since I was sixteen,
- 25:15I'm finna be fifty, and I still have moments. Yeah, I had
- 25:21one about two years ago where I was just like I could not visualize my
- 25:29mom in my head. I could not visualize her no more. I could
- 25:33not get that picture of her. And my sister came home with a pawn
- 25:42and a picture of my mom. It just like it was what I needed.
- 25:49She didn't know. I didn't say nothing to her, but she came
- 25:52home with that and that poem it says I never left you. In every
- 25:59word that I read after that page, it resonated and it was just like
- 26:04my mom was speaking to me. So I understand like it don't get easy,
- 26:11no, but I have learned how So you no, take every day
- 26:18step by step, day by day, moment by moment, and try to
- 26:22live for the moment, because you know, I truly believe that that we
- 26:27can't focus on tomorrow. We got to focus on now because tomorrow is gonna
- 26:34take kids here and then tomorrow. In reality, tomorrow never get here because
- 26:41it's always gonna be a tomorrow. Mm hmmm. And plus, tomorrow's not
- 26:45promised to us. Is that we're not We're not promised tomorrow. We don't.
- 26:49We not. We're not gonna bet tomorrow until we wake up till we
- 26:52wake up tomorrow. But in reality, there's really no tomorrow, no,
- 27:00because it never gets here. Always living in and out. Oh yeah,
- 27:07look at that one. It's a it's a day. It's a man.
- 27:10Look, I gotta gotta gotta live. I try to that is so that
- 27:19that's why I try to live each day to the fullest. I try to
- 27:26enjoy the moment. I try to give all that I think I should give
- 27:33for that day. When I lay down, I want to be empty,
- 27:37so as he filled me up, he can feel me up a new you
- 27:41know, and I can stay on this journey so I can walk into something
- 27:45new, you know, when when where he extended that grace and that mercy
- 27:49to that that that new day. I want to walk into something new.
- 27:56I don't want to have to be troubled by yesterday because I can't take nothing
- 28:00back from yesterday, you know. So yeah, I want to be empty.
- 28:04I want to have done everything that I possibly can do. And and
- 28:08that's why I go so hard sometimes and people be like, you need to
- 28:11slow down. I'm gonna slow down. When When? When when this physical
- 28:15body get ready to go on up out together that one I'm gonna slow down
- 28:21because guess what, I don't want to be that that that person that that
- 28:25had all this stuff that I was supposed to do and didn't do nothing right.
- 28:30I want to have that that legacy that that you guys are creating,
- 28:37and you're definitely doing that with your network. I'm trying podcast I'm trying.
- 28:47Why Why why podcasting? Why you're doing You're not trying you You're doing a
- 28:52great job. And you know it takes special people to get into broadcasting.
- 29:00It definitely does. You gotta have some tough skin and then you gotta have
- 29:06empathy. Yeah, you gotta have tough skin, and you got to have
- 29:11empathy. There's two things that you gotta have because people gonna come at you
- 29:15any kind of way. They're gonna come at your sideways. They gonna always
- 29:18try to tear down someday, gonna always pick what you say for a fine
- 29:22tooth comb, and they always gonna have something too thafe. So you got
- 29:25to be able to not be so easily offended. And then you gotta be
- 29:29able to just stand on your belief because your beliefs are your beliefs. Yeah,
- 29:33I think both of them are important. Both of them are important,
- 29:37but I think the empathy is doubly important. And the reason I say that
- 29:44is doubly important because that we're talking about subject and we're talking about subject matter
- 29:52that is extremely sensitive to a lot of people. We're talking about issues that
- 29:56are extremely sensitive to a lot of people because a lot of people have been
- 30:00through traumatic experiences, a lot of people have been through the through the the
- 30:07vector of loss, been the vector of wanting to remove themselves from this existence,
- 30:12also losing people that they love and they care about, but also losing
- 30:17themselves in the process. So we have, so we so we speak to
- 30:21a multitude of those things, and we have to be empathetic to the people
- 30:26that the people that we bring on, but also we have to be empathetic
- 30:30to ourselves as well. We have to give grace to ourselves as well.
- 30:33Because some because mostly because most of the times we normally speak from we speak
- 30:41about the things that we that we love to talk about from the from the
- 30:45prism of our own experience, and we talk about that, we talk about
- 30:48what we've been through, we talk about we use what we've been through as
- 30:52the subject matter to help bring other people to the table, to the table,
- 30:59so to speak, so we can all sit down and have our conversation
- 31:03about what we've been through, whether it's a traumatic experience, whether it's some
- 31:07other whether it's something else that we've been through, and we can all sit
- 31:10down and we can talk about it like mature human beings, mature adults,
- 31:17and hopefully come up with solutions to what are we going through? What we're
- 31:21going through. I mean a lot of these podcasts that are out here,
- 31:23you know, they promote and promote craziness and stuff like that. I would
- 31:27rather be solution based than be anything. If I just would rather be solution
- 31:38based. I mean, let's talk about the problem, let's talk about how
- 31:44we can fix the problem, but then let's talk about how we're going to
- 31:48implement implement the fixes that we're proposing that we're proposing a lot of people just
- 31:53want a lot of people just want entertainment. And that's fine, that's all
- 31:57well and good. That's cool. You can have entertainment if you want it.
- 32:01But why not be solution based? Why not talk about things that need
- 32:07to be talked about? You know, there's they're not to me, there
- 32:13are not enough platforms for for you know, for for black men to talk
- 32:15about their issues. There are not enough platforms for us, for for us
- 32:27as black men and women to talk about our combined issues and how we can
- 32:30talk how we can solve those issues. There everything that you see on TV
- 32:38or whatever is everything that's on TV, like Love and Hip Hop and Lanta,
- 32:45that's scripted entertainment that's meant to keep that's meant to kind of like keep
- 32:51you entertained. But if I would rather talk about why why are we why
- 32:57are we as black men and women so divided in our thought processes, and
- 33:00why we can't come together as black men and women or better yet, why
- 33:07what's what's what's wrong? What's wrong with holding each other accountable for the things
- 33:10that we do? Or even more so, you know I talk about that,
- 33:17I talk about my own experiences and how they can benefit they can benefit
- 33:24other brothers, benefit of other men. Because I mean, there's out of
- 33:29all these out of all these black brothers, that all all these brothers that's
- 33:31out here, I know, I know that there are at least one or
- 33:35two, maybe three or four. I'll even be so bold as maybe five,
- 33:38six or maybe ten who have dealt with something that I who have who
- 33:43is either dealing with something that I've that I've experienced or it is currently experiencing
- 33:47that. So why so why not put why not? Why not say something
- 33:53about it? And I personally don't mind being vulnerable to put my to air,
- 34:02my to air my own dirty laundry out there so that somebody else can
- 34:07get somebody else can pick up what I'm talking to, pick up what I'm
- 34:12putting down, and use that to try to better better themselves. It used
- 34:16to be a point to where I didn't want to be so vulnerable about the
- 34:21things that I experienced but then when I want, when I realized that there
- 34:23were other guys that were going through the same things and just didn't speak about
- 34:28it, like dang, okay, let me, let me keep let me
- 34:34keep putting, let me keep being vulnerable, let me keep putting myself out
- 34:37there. Let me and I'm far as being as far as embarrassment it's concerned
- 34:43about putting myself out there, I'm I'm never embarrassed about that because what it
- 34:46what I've done, is what I've done, what I've been through is what
- 34:51I've been through. It's what I've learned through. What I've been through is
- 34:57the important thing. So yeah, I think I do think that, you
- 35:00know, tough skin is important, yes, in podcasting, But I think
- 35:06the empathy is even more important because I think we have to be able to
- 35:12have some sort of empathy to speak to what we speak to, especially when
- 35:17we have the people on the people on our platforms that we have on our
- 35:22platforms, because honestly speaking, these people don't have to come on our platforms
- 35:25to talk and put their life out there out there and live in color for
- 35:30us for us to talk about, or for us to even mention or even
- 35:34ask questions as it pertains to. But they choose to because number one,
- 35:39they trust us. They trust us to be caretive, trust us to be
- 35:44careful with the thing, careful with them, and careful with their platform.
- 35:49You know, I've had meaning, I've had a couple of authors that were
- 35:52on my show and they have been through tumultuous experiences. And one of the
- 36:01things, and I remember who she is, Melanie Johnson, and I told
- 36:05her, like, look, we don't we don't got it. We don't
- 36:07gotta go out in this deep water if you don't want to. I gave
- 36:13that option to her. We don't got to go out in this deep water.
- 36:15If we don't want to, we can stay in the shallows. But
- 36:20I also told her, if you decide to go out in the deep water,
- 36:22I'm gonna go out there with you, and I'm gonna make sure that
- 36:24I'm not gonna let you drown in that in that water, because we we
- 36:30have to be we have to be able to take care of our guest.
- 36:37You've done it, You've done it, so you've done it so many times
- 36:40with the people you have on your platform. And I see it, and
- 36:44I see how you do. I see how you're the people that are that
- 36:46have their podcasts up under your blank under your banner do the same thing.
- 36:52I see how care I see how how they take care of their guests.
- 36:55You know, they they're they're not disrespectful, that they asked the right questions,
- 37:00but they also are careful to not careful to kind of lead allow them
- 37:06to be who they are without pushing them to a certain spot or to a
- 37:10certain to a certain path. So we have we got to be all about
- 37:15having building that safe rapport with people and letting people know that they can be
- 37:23comfortable. You know, even before Black Dowmond was a host on the network
- 37:31we we have. I've interviewed her several times when I first started doing interviews,
- 37:37and she said she had did a lot of them, and she said
- 37:42I made her feel comfortable. You know, being able to make people feel
- 37:45comfortable, it's one of those things that will allowed them to be trained and
- 37:58will allow them to to I definitely I want to thank you for your transparency
- 38:05on tonight. Thank you for being transparent. They appreciate it. Those that
- 38:10are tuned in, they definitely appreciate you being transparent and sharing because oftentimes we
- 38:17hold our men to these high standards in these to where we make them feel
- 38:25like they cannot be who they want to be and they cannot be open and
- 38:29they can't you know, share emotions and share those things, and we have
- 38:35to stop doing it as people, you know, we we should make people
- 38:38feel comfortable enough to where whatever they're going through that they can be able to
- 38:45share. You know. That's one thing I say communication is key because communication
- 38:52can can can help you through much. You know, if you just communicate,
- 38:59you know it truly is so Frederick. How can individuals check out your
- 39:08podcast network? How can they follow you on social media? And definitely how
- 39:16can they pick up some of your poetry? I definitely want them to see
- 39:22that side of you. I've had the opportunity to check out some of your
- 39:27work and tell you the man can do some things with a pin, y'all
- 39:40things or the pen. You're gonna have to go over there and check him
- 39:45out. When he tell you how you can go and grab you some of
- 39:50this this, these these these pieces and make sure when you go grab you
- 39:55that you leave a review and make sure you say I heard it on the
- 39:59crew. So go ahead and tell how they wrap a piece of tooth mm
- 40:08hmm. So, first of all, if you want to follow my podcast
- 40:12platform, we are on We're on several audio streaming platforms included Apple Podcasts,
- 40:20well, Google Podcasts is now defunct, Spotify, Amazon Music, we're working
- 40:25on trying to get on Pandora, iHeartRadio. So we're on several stream have
- 40:30several audio streaming platforms, and if you want to catch us the whole audio
- 40:34and video world, we're on YouTube. You can catch us on Facebook Live.
- 40:37We also we're also we also brought We also broadcast on x which is
- 40:42formerly known as Twitter. We also broadcast on Twitch. So you can catch
- 40:45us on any of those streaming platforms. The most popular, the most popular
- 40:50streaming platform you can catch us on is our YouTube channel, and that's Trailblazers
- 40:52with a Z Radio. Same thing with an audio streaming platform on Spotify,
- 40:58it's Trailblazers with Z Radio. You are Now. As far as the books,
- 41:02far as writing is concerned, all of my books are on Amazon,
- 41:07all of them, even the even the collaborations I've done with other authors.
- 41:13If you guys wanted to now, I'll say this, I moved away.
- 41:16I moved away from narrative storytelling to poetic story poetic poetry. There's well,
- 41:27I haven't moved away from narrative storytelling completely, but I felt that my lane
- 41:31at at this particular point in time, it's poetry. I have. In
- 41:38addition to the books that I've collaborated with with my sister and with with with
- 41:44Miss Angela, I've also collaborated with a young lady by the name of Samantha
- 41:47Swain. We talked. It was a book called I Think It's Domestic Violence
- 41:50Stories of Survivors. I also participated in a in She's What's the name of
- 41:57that? Oh Antogya would have the lady by name of Andrerov Jackson talk about
- 42:01parents about parenting and I spoke from a an absence and a father and absentious
- 42:08perspective. In addition to that, I do have I do have five books
- 42:13that I've written out by myself. One of those books deals with domestic violence.
- 42:19The other one deals with mental the mental health aspect of who we are
- 42:23as individuals, primarily dealing with the emotions of the emotions, dealing emotions associated
- 42:30with loss, and also people who choose, people who are who make attempts
- 42:37to take themselves out of this plane of existence. The poetry books that I
- 42:42have currently, they all have soul after each after each one of them.
- 42:47There's a reason why I did that. Each one of these books talks about
- 42:53a specific aspect of my soul. So I'm putting a lot of myself out
- 42:59there to kind of get people to understand it. Not that not that necessarily
- 43:01understand my thought processes or how I feel, but to create a connection with
- 43:07people, because there are some people who have have been through some of the
- 43:10things that I've been through, who want to who had some who haven't who
- 43:15don't have the vector such as a microphone or a camera, or or a
- 43:21pan and pad to express these things. So each one of those has Each
- 43:27one of those has the soul behind it because it's a different aspect to my
- 43:30soul. So I have tapestry to interwoven soul. I have how I see
- 43:37it, the perspective soul. The third one that I wrote is called Avenues
- 43:40the Traveling Soul I am working on. I'm working on number four. I
- 43:47didn't I had thought about doing number four, and I hadn't. I had
- 43:52thought about doing this for a book, and I would, but I was
- 43:54really kind of leery about it. I didn't know what to write about,
- 44:02or what to or what subject matter I want to tackle at that point,
- 44:07But then I thought about it. So this one's called I'm going to well,
- 44:13i'm gonna call it Feelings the Emotional Soul. So now we're going to
- 44:16talk about all the things that I feel. And again I'm putting I'm putting
- 44:20myself out there because well why not. But what better example to put life,
- 44:28put life the things that we put do in life in some perspective,
- 44:30then to use yourself. But those books are on Amazon as well. If
- 44:35you are, if you're an author, if you are independent music artist,
- 44:40if you are if you're a business person, whether if you're an entrepreneur,
- 44:45if you're a political figure, it doesn't matter, it doesn't matter as far
- 44:49as I'm concerned. You can come, you can hear, You can most
- 44:52definitely hit me up via email at Trailblazers at Trailblazers Radio at gmail dot com,
- 44:58and we can tell we can talk about what you want to talk about
- 45:00what you want. We can talk about your book, we can talk about
- 45:01your music, We can talk about your political campaign and why you're running,
- 45:07and your views on these things, your views on whatever these things are.
- 45:12Or if you or if you have or if you have a topic that you
- 45:14want us as a as a platform to tackle, by all means, hit
- 45:19us up your email at trailblazerradio dot at, Trailbate at Trailblazer Radio at gmail
- 45:23dot com, and we will most definitely do our best to try to get
- 45:25that topic out there and talk about it in depth. And if you want
- 45:29it in the person that brings up the topic, if you want to be
- 45:31a guest or best guests on the show, do the same thing we can.
- 45:35We will bring you up and we will get give you that opportunity to
- 45:37say your piece, and in doing so, we will also do we'll also
- 45:43allow you to do that with respect and reverence for who you are as a
- 45:46human being, but also in respect and reverence for your opinions, because number
- 45:52one, opinions do matter. You know, your your thought process does matter.
- 45:58Your opinions do matter, So we want to make that we respect those,
- 46:00We respect that your opinions and your perspectives. So if you want to
- 46:05do that, by all means, do that look like somebody's gonna be reaching
- 46:14out to you. Mm hm, she said injustice, So she's gonna be
- 46:17reaching out an injustice. Let's talk about it, ma'am injustice. She likes
- 46:23to talk about injustice. Let's talk about it. Man, I'm going to
- 46:27be reaching out. So where do you see Trailblazers in the next five years?
- 46:37What would where would you like to see trailblazers? Because I've seen the
- 46:42growth, So where would you like to see it in the next five years?
- 46:45What's the vision? Mm hmmm. I want I want to see us
- 46:51on I do want to see us on a on a on a bigger screen.
- 47:00I think that I think the vector of television is something that is that
- 47:06is a possible vector for us that the finders have to find out the ways
- 47:09that we can implement that to it implement that into what we're doing currently.
- 47:16So I do want to see do you want to see us jumping to jump
- 47:20into the big the larger screen type thing. And also with what I see
- 47:25in five years, I mean I see I see continue growth. Each one
- 47:30of the people that we have, that's that's what that's that is aligned with
- 47:34me. We even though even though we have even though we talk, even
- 47:38though we talk to talk a different talk, we all walk the same walk.
- 47:44We all have the same goal in mind. We all have the same
- 47:47direction that we want that we want to that we're trying to get to,
- 47:51whether that's a set, whether that's separate or together. So I do so,
- 47:55I do see. I do see growth, growth, and growth and
- 48:00followers growth in and each one of us as hosts and things of that nature.
- 48:10Oh man, that's that's t j ain't it. Yeah, that's TJ
- 48:15so. But I mean, yeah, I see growth. I see us
- 48:19growing. I do see us growing two but I want by But I see
- 48:25us growing at our own pace, not someone else's pace, not not by
- 48:34someone else's agender, not somebody else's thing. I see, I see us
- 48:37growing at our own pace. It took time. It took time for us
- 48:43to get It took time for us to get to this pinnacle. It's gonna
- 48:47take time for us to get to the next pinnacle and to the next pinnacle.
- 48:52But each pinnacle that we get that we get to, we we do
- 48:57it. We take our time, and we do it right. We take
- 49:00our time, we take our time. We do it right, or we
- 49:01don't do it at all. I know that in this thing, in this
- 49:06thing called having the pot, the business of the business of having a podcast.
- 49:09There have been some there be some trip ups and some falls that I've
- 49:15taken, and as I've gotten back up, I've learned why. I've learned
- 49:21where I feel at and make sure I don't travel that path again, but
- 49:23also learned a lesson into certain things that make that certain things that make that
- 49:30make this a bit, make this a viable business and not and no longer
- 49:32a just an expensive hobby. So, man, growth is what it is.
- 49:38Growth is where we're at. Growth is what I want. Growth is
- 49:42what I wants to do. One wants to get into and the young lady
- 49:46who who wants to talk about it? And justice I put I put,
- 49:50I put our email in the chat, so please reach out and we can
- 49:53and we'll most definitely have a talk about it. Well, I'm gonna post
- 50:01this email so you guys can reach out and share if you want to be
- 50:07a guest on the show. But I definitely want to thank you or stopping
- 50:13by and sharing with us and and being transparent and letting individuals you know be
- 50:21able to connect with you, because I feel like when people know you as
- 50:27a person and can relate to you, they're gonna be there they're gonna support
- 50:31you. And you know, to me, I would love to have the
- 50:37million followers, But if the three thousand getting it and willing to get out
- 50:43here and and and do something with what I'm sharing, I'm I'm cool with
- 50:49them getting it and and and paying it forward. And then if I got
- 50:53to start over and do the next group, then that's what I'm willing to
- 50:57do, because with me, it is it's truly about the bigger picture.
- 51:07And in trying like I want to see these eight get these eight hosts that
- 51:12I have. If they go out here and and supersede me, then guess
- 51:15what, huh, I've done what I was supposed to do. That That's
- 51:21that's that's that's that's how I look at that. And the reward that I'm
- 51:24gonna get from for that is gonna supersede anything that I could want that I
- 51:32could w and I know and when I tell you, like people be like
- 51:36you do all that you do all that? Like what what doors are opening
- 51:39for me right now? I never thought that I would be walking into these
- 51:43doors and that he would be putting you in places that you never thought you
- 51:49would be. Like I walk in different places, in different rooms, man,
- 51:55sometimes I feel like I'm on top of the world. And that's how
- 52:00people will make you feel if you just show up and just be who you
- 52:06who you are. That's so I want to thank you for just being who
- 52:13you are. I want to thank you for continuing to show up even when
- 52:19you didn't want to show up, Frederick, you kept pushing and look at
- 52:22you now. I know you may not be where you want to be.
- 52:27But if we look back where we've came from over these last last five five
- 52:32years, and I'm just talking about me and you, if we look back
- 52:37these these what maybe six years before, from where we come, before this
- 52:43pandemic, and where we are now because the pandemic could have took a lot
- 52:50of people out of here, a lot of people lost businesses, a lot
- 52:52of people stuff had to shut down. Huh. But we were able to
- 52:58thrive and we were able to to figure out some more stuff. Right.
- 53:02I enjoyed coming to Atlanta and and and and getting to spend time with with
- 53:07with child. So I truly enjoyed this. Like I truly enjoyed this.
- 53:14I truly enjoyed the times that we've had together. And I thank you you
- 53:17keep being who you are and know that you are impacted, and know that
- 53:23people are watching you, and we are you, and I just want you
- 53:30to know that I am my brother's keepers. So I'm always gonna be right
- 53:35here cheering you on and and and and for you. So again, thank
- 53:40you, thank you, thank you. How can people check you out on

- 54:47anything that you would like to leave with the audience to maybe encourage them to
- 54:52stay on this journey. Hmmm, yeah. And I'll be brob be brief.
- 55:01I'll be, I promise i'll be. I won't be long winded,
- 55:04I'll be brief. And it's actually this actually speaks to something I'm actually gonna
- 55:12talk about a little bit on Monday on my show. Being in. One
- 55:21thing that we always try to say, we tell each we tell ourselves is
- 55:23that we we're invincible, that we can't be touched, or we're untouchable on
- 55:30things of that nature. That's all well and good. However, being being
- 55:37invincible has more has more detrimental costs to it than it does ben than it
- 55:43does advantages of benefits. The one thing I will leave with everybody is be
- 55:50aware of the coup, be aware of the cost and the benefits when you
- 55:54tell when you say that you're untouchable or you're invincible, because you're not.
- 55:58Because I couldn't all honestly speak, We as human beings are fallible and vulnerable.
- 56:06And when we realize that we're fallible and vulnerable, we're able to then
- 56:08we're able to move through life a lot more fluidly. It's a common trow
- 56:15it's a common trope for us, as black men or men in particular,
- 56:20being period to portray this, this facade of invincibility, and that facade is
- 56:31is literally taken taking taking our taking us brother taking our brothers out of taking
- 56:36our brothers out of here. You don't have to be in I'm gonna say
- 56:43this, brothers, Yeah, we don't have to act like you're invincible.
- 56:47I know that you're human being. I notice you're human. It's okay to
- 56:52be transparent and valuable and vulnerable with yourself. Just understand that being invincible carries
- 57:00a benefit, but it's a short term benefit. The cost with being with
- 57:07that, the cost with that of more or more long term and more detrimental.
- 57:13So understand understand that, and I'll and I'll leave y'all with that to
- 57:15grow on. Wow. Well, I truly have enjoyed you on tonight and
- 57:23I wish you much much much success for the rest of this year. I
- 57:28know that you're gonna do some amazing things. I definitely will be keep in
