- 0:11Speaker 1: on the air.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Well, let's drop control the.

- 0:19Speaker 4: It's off the bench, all right, welcome back in our
- 0:34Speaker 4: number three a bo be here live from the Raising
- 0:37Speaker 4: Kines studio.
- 0:38Speaker 3: It is Tuesday at nine am. So you're never gonna
- 0:41Speaker 3: catch up with our guy Nick Underhill, New Orleans stuff football.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Who joins us now? Nicholas? How you doing, sir?
- 0:48Speaker 5: Doing great?
- 0:48Speaker 6: Doing great?
- 0:49Speaker 3: How you guys doing doing fantastic? Glad to have you
- 0:51Speaker 3: on as always. As we get closer and closer to
- 0:55Speaker 3: these Saints getting to training camp kicking off the season,
- 0:58Speaker 3: it will be here before you know it. There's still, though,
- 1:02Speaker 3: some situations for the Saints, some contracts that are currently
- 1:07Speaker 3: on the roster that we don't know if they're going
- 1:08Speaker 3: to be on the roster, some that potentially still could
- 1:11Speaker 3: be added, a guy like Cam Jordan. So a lot
- 1:13Speaker 3: to get to. But I wanted to start off with
- 1:15Speaker 3: this because I saw an ESPN dot com article and
- 1:18Speaker 3: it was talking about the guys that they felt like
- 1:21Speaker 3: the top ten guys to be trade candidates before the
- 1:25Speaker 3: trade deadline, and out of all the NFL all thirty
- 1:28Speaker 3: two teams, the Saints actually had two players on the
- 1:31Speaker 3: top ten list. They had Spencer Rattler and had Alvin
- 1:34Speaker 3: Kamara on the list. So those are the two players.
- 1:36Speaker 3: At ESPN dot com, out of all thirty two teams
- 1:38Speaker 3: only ten players, the Saints had two. Do you think
- 1:42Speaker 3: either one of those players is likely to be moved?
- 1:45Speaker 3: And which one would you say is more likely? If so?
- 1:48Speaker 6: Oh, that second part of that one is tough. I mean,
- 1:50Speaker 6: I think they could both. It wouldn't blow my mind
- 1:53Speaker 6: to be either either one of them got moved right now.
- 1:56Speaker 6: I mean, obviously the album thing still remains very weird,
- 1:58Speaker 6: Like he showed up on them, and I thought it
- 2:00Speaker 6: was probably the funniest thing that could have happened. Him
- 2:04Speaker 6: just kind of popping up and then back to Miami
- 2:06Speaker 6: right after practice is kind of hey, I'm here letting
- 2:08Speaker 6: you know. So I think there's a lot to figure
- 2:12Speaker 6: out there. It would have to come down to the
- 2:14Speaker 6: Saints not wanting him, though, because man, my understanding of
- 2:17Speaker 6: that situation is that he's he's willing to discuss reduce
- 2:22Speaker 6: salary and make something work, and I think he really
- 2:25Speaker 6: wants it to work, and I think that's what showing
- 2:26Speaker 6: up was, but showing him that he wanted to do that.
- 2:29Speaker 6: My question is, I don't know if there's value there
- 2:34Speaker 6: that even makes it make sense, because look the way
- 2:36Speaker 6: they did his contract. It isn't a standard restructure. They
- 2:40Speaker 6: use this and I'm not gonna get like into all
- 2:42Speaker 6: the weeds, but they use the mechanism that allows his
- 2:45Speaker 6: salary to travel if he gets traded well being able
- 2:48Speaker 6: to treat it as if they restructured him. So if
- 2:50Speaker 6: they trade him, that whole number goes with him, which
- 2:54Speaker 6: I think knocks out value down, Like if you're paying
- 2:56Speaker 6: Alvin's salary and you're just trading the player and somebody
- 2:59Speaker 6: else is getting to a very productive running back for
- 3:02Speaker 6: a million bucks, like maybe you get the fifth round pick.
- 3:05Speaker 6: But I think when you're paying him eleven point five
- 3:08Speaker 6: million to trade for him, you know, I don't know
- 3:11Speaker 6: if there's a lot of music playing for that deal.
- 3:13Speaker 6: And I think that's the reason why nothing has happened yet.
- 3:15Speaker 6: If they wanted him badly on the team, they would
- 3:18Speaker 6: already figured out the contract. They'd already be talking about it.
- 3:20Speaker 6: They haven't had a conversation yet, so I think they're
- 3:22Speaker 6: waiting to see if that trade partner shows up. So
- 3:25Speaker 6: I think, I don't know. With Rattler, man, I think
- 3:29Speaker 6: he looks good in this camp, you know. I think
- 3:31Speaker 6: I think you can really see the growth between him
- 3:33Speaker 6: and Tyler Shuck. I think Shuck looks Shuck's really kind
- 3:36Speaker 6: of put it together, Like you see the timing and
- 3:39Speaker 6: the knowledge and the aggressiveness and the fast decisions. But
- 3:42Speaker 6: you know, I think I think Spencer looks great too.
- 3:45Speaker 6: I think you see him stepping it up. I think
- 3:47Speaker 6: he's a guy that's a starter for a team. I
- 3:49Speaker 6: think if there was an injury in a camp, I
- 3:51Speaker 6: could definitely see him getting traded somewhere. You know, if
- 3:56Speaker 6: the Jacobe Brissette thing doesn't work out. You know, I
- 3:58Speaker 6: don't know, there's a couple couple play. This is where
- 4:00Speaker 6: I could see him possibly ending up a great preseason.
- 4:03Speaker 6: I think he suddenly becomes available. They brought in Zach Wilson,
- 4:06Speaker 6: which I think makes Tyler or I'm sorry, Spencer, do.
- 4:10Speaker 3: You think that's why they brought him in? Though? Nick,
- 4:12Speaker 3: like just in case, Hey, we know Spencer. We know
- 4:14Speaker 3: he's pretty good. We know some teams that would give
- 4:16Speaker 3: us something for him. Is that why you bring in
- 4:18Speaker 3: Zach Wilson.
- 4:20Speaker 6: I think it's both, you know, I think you see
- 4:22Speaker 6: the league trend of like developing everybody, And this is
- 4:25Speaker 6: a group of coaches that like very very often are
- 4:28Speaker 6: talking about the rest of the league. So I think
- 4:30Speaker 6: you know they're influenced by what's going on. But yeah,
- 4:32Speaker 6: I think that's part of it too, Like if you
- 4:34Speaker 6: can get him somewhere, it gives you that backstop, and
- 4:38Speaker 6: it gives you more flexibility in that room. You know,
- 4:42Speaker 6: there's two things here, Like is a fan of football,
- 4:44Speaker 6: I badly want Spencer to get tready because I want
- 4:46Speaker 6: to see how the story plays out. Like I want
- 4:48Speaker 6: to see what he can do. If I were running
- 4:50Speaker 6: the Saints, I want him on my team. He's he
- 4:53Speaker 6: doesn't cost anything. If my starter goes down, I don't
- 4:56Speaker 6: feel terrible about putting him in a game. So it's interesting. Yeah,
- 5:00Speaker 6: I think man the more likely one to go between
- 5:03Speaker 6: the two. I don't know, like a gun to the head,
- 5:09Speaker 6: I might guess Alvin right now today, because I got
- 5:12Speaker 6: I think I think Spencer like I think some things
- 5:15Speaker 6: would have to happen. You got to see a preseason.
- 5:17Speaker 6: I think that market would have to firm up some.
- 5:19Speaker 6: I think if the Saints figured something out with Alvin's salary,
- 5:22Speaker 6: I think Alvin becomes like eminentely more movable and I
- 5:24Speaker 6: think he I think you'd have a have a pretty
- 5:26Speaker 6: decent market. I think there's a handful of teams that
- 5:28Speaker 6: should want him.
- 5:30Speaker 5: Nick. Let me get a vibe check. Where are you
- 5:32Speaker 5: at right now?
- 5:34Speaker 6: I'm waiting to go to the Dunnis So.
- 5:39Speaker 5: Is that a panoramic moon roof you got on there?
- 5:42Speaker 6: It is?
- 5:43Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 5:43Speaker 7: Thank yeah, good job baby. Say for the rest of them, yeah,
- 5:48Speaker 7: way to be saved. Way to buckle up right now.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:52Speaker 7: I do have a question, just like from a kind
- 5:56Speaker 7: of the hot topic in just athletics right now. Uh,
- 5:59Speaker 7: the situation in Texas Tech with Brendan Sores be like, what,
- 6:02Speaker 7: like give me your thoughts on just the whole because
- 6:06Speaker 7: in the NFL, it's like supposed to be what you know,
- 6:10Speaker 7: what college does well, pretty cut and dry, a little
- 6:12Speaker 7: black and white. You do this, you're done, you know,
- 6:16Speaker 7: and it's not happening right now. Just give me your
- 6:18Speaker 7: thoughts on what the situation Texas Tech is.
- 6:23Speaker 6: I think it sucks, man, Like I think the whole
- 6:24Speaker 6: thing sucks. Like that, there has to be some type
- 6:26Speaker 6: of like governing body that can say, hey, look, you
- 6:28Speaker 6: you you what do you place like almost a million
- 6:31Speaker 6: dollars in bets or something like I can't even remember
- 6:33Speaker 6: what the number was, but like it was it was
- 6:35Speaker 6: a big number. I seemed like a the the volume
- 6:38Speaker 6: of bets what he was betting on, I think I
- 6:40Speaker 6: saw that. Like it again, I'm talking out of my
- 6:42Speaker 6: ass off of things I saw on Twitter, like, but
- 6:45Speaker 6: I think I saw that you bet on too, bet
- 6:47Speaker 6: the under on two games, that that he was a
- 6:49Speaker 6: member of the team, like passing yards and stuff like that.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Like man, that's like it's just if you do this,
- 6:54Speaker 6: you shouldn't be playing. Like it's it's really that simple.
- 6:59Speaker 6: I guess he would probably just sue the university if
- 7:01Speaker 6: the university didn't stand behind them, and then you get
- 7:03Speaker 6: an injunction there maybe, so like I don't even know
- 7:06Speaker 6: if the university has power, but I would like to
- 7:09Speaker 6: see an academic institution and like we all know what
- 7:11Speaker 6: these things are and like I'm not trying to be like,
- 7:15Speaker 6: you know, a tight ass or anything like that, but
- 7:18Speaker 6: we don't have to deal is like it's a it's
- 7:20Speaker 6: a charade. But at a certain point it has to
- 7:21Speaker 6: cross the line where the institution is like placing some
- 7:25Speaker 6: level of value on integrity. Like if I cheat on
- 7:28Speaker 6: a test, I'm getting kicked out of the school. If
- 7:30Speaker 6: I gamble on a football game I'm playing, and I
- 7:32Speaker 6: should get kicked out of the school, Like it should
- 7:34Speaker 6: be a very obvious thing. I think the whole thing
- 7:37Speaker 6: is bad man. You know, it's like like LSU is
- 7:42Speaker 6: probably gonna have like some dude that was like the
- 7:44Speaker 6: twelfth guy on the bench or the Knicks like playing
- 7:47Speaker 6: in their tip off game and and if there aren't
- 7:51Speaker 6: any rules, like stretch it and force them to do it.
- 7:53Speaker 6: Like I totally get it, but it is broken and
- 7:56Speaker 6: maybe somebody needs to break it so that it, you
- 8:00Speaker 6: don't gets fixed. But yeah, there has to be something
- 8:03Speaker 6: here man, Like this is like gambling on games is
- 8:06Speaker 6: insane and then like what are we watching? Then, like
- 8:09Speaker 6: how do you try? It's just it's bad, man. Somebody
- 8:13Speaker 6: has to step in and stop this, Like there has
- 8:14Speaker 6: to be some type of punishment for it. And look,
- 8:17Speaker 6: you can just like just walk away and enter the
- 8:19Speaker 6: supplemental draft, like just do what you gotta do.
- 8:22Speaker 3: But it didn't feel like the NFL though, was telling
- 8:24Speaker 3: him to do that. Almost like the NFL was like,
- 8:26Speaker 3: if they're not gonna punish you, we will, we'll handle it.
- 8:30Speaker 6: Yeah, and like maybe they should and maybe that's what
- 8:32Speaker 6: it should be, but man, it's just it's nasty to me,
- 8:36Speaker 6: like it this is I don't know, like the whole
- 8:40Speaker 6: thing sucks, man, Like I don't like how any of
- 8:43Speaker 6: it's going, Like I think they got to figure something
- 8:44Speaker 6: out with like the amount of time someone can can
- 8:47Speaker 6: transfer and stuff to like it's just like the March
- 8:50Speaker 6: Tournament like it used to be if you put the
- 8:53Speaker 6: number ones in the final four, like you were a
- 8:54Speaker 6: dumb ass that didn't know anything. And now if you
- 8:56Speaker 6: don't put the number ones in the final four, you're
- 8:58Speaker 6: a dumb ass that doesn't know anything. And that kind
- 9:00Speaker 6: of sucks as if you were Like I want I
- 9:02Speaker 6: want the players to get paid, but I also like,
- 9:05Speaker 6: you know, there has to be something to where like, man,
- 9:08Speaker 6: Michigan State wouldn't happen in today's era, like you wouldn't
- 9:11Speaker 6: have like the teen cleaves and like all these guys
- 9:13Speaker 6: building a team, you know, going for it, and that
- 9:16Speaker 6: that used to be what made it great. So there
- 9:18Speaker 6: has to be some access where everybody's being taken care of,
- 9:22Speaker 6: everybody's being paid, everybody's eaten. But it's also just not
- 9:26Speaker 6: a bottom feeder system, and you know there's something where
- 9:29Speaker 6: where there's still the idea of team and integrity, even
- 9:32Speaker 6: if it's like through a veiled charade somehow. But like,
- 9:35Speaker 6: we got to find a way to find some balance
- 9:37Speaker 6: between the two things. It's swung way too far one direction.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Well said, yeah, I am right there with you. And
- 9:44Speaker 3: again I don't think there was very much interest in
- 9:46Speaker 3: the supplemental draft because the NFL is like, hey, we're
- 9:48Speaker 3: not dealing with that, and if you want to do that,
- 9:51Speaker 3: you get to go back to college.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Sorry to ask you a college question.
- 9:54Speaker 7: I know your Saints guy, NFL guy, but pretty relevant,
- 9:57Speaker 7: I mean even in the into the NFL ranks.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I do want to ask you though, I mean
- 10:02Speaker 3: every single week. I think I'm gonna ask you until
- 10:04Speaker 3: we figure out what is what Cam Jordan and I
- 10:08Speaker 3: just there's other teams, like I've heard Kansas City so
- 10:12Speaker 3: like Chicago with DA like that makes a lot of sense,
- 10:15Speaker 3: and they need a pass rusher as well. Like eventually
- 10:18Speaker 3: there's going to be teams that are going to call
- 10:20Speaker 3: Cam Jordan that are not the New Orleans Saints. And
- 10:22Speaker 3: that's just the last thing that I want to happen,
- 10:24Speaker 3: or anybody wants to happen to see him in a
- 10:25Speaker 3: different uniform. Is there an update buzz around Cam? Is
- 10:30Speaker 3: there a standstill that you feel like is just gonna
- 10:32Speaker 3: be there until forever? Like where are we at right
- 10:34Speaker 3: now with Cam Jordan?
- 10:36Speaker 6: I think I told you guys, like they took away
- 10:38Speaker 6: one of his lockers, like he he was one of
- 10:39Speaker 6: the guys that had like that little corner set up. Yeah,
- 10:42Speaker 6: it was the two lockers and he's had the same
- 10:44Speaker 6: two lockers for a decade plus and one of them
- 10:47Speaker 6: got reassigned. So I mean, like that's kind of like
- 10:50Speaker 6: a oh damn, Like this is this is different offers
- 10:53Speaker 6: on the table, Like he's just gotta he's got to
- 10:55Speaker 6: be willing to take it. I don't think they're gonna
- 10:58Speaker 6: change it. Like I think all their moves kind of
- 11:01Speaker 6: signified that they moved on and built their roster. But
- 11:03Speaker 6: the door is still open. And if you want to
- 11:05Speaker 6: be here, you can come in, and like where does
- 11:07Speaker 6: he slot in? Is the other question. It's just it's
- 11:10Speaker 6: a messy thing, man, Like I I don't know, you know,
- 11:14Speaker 6: as it stands today, Like I still feel like he
- 11:16Speaker 6: eventually ends up coming back because I think if he
- 11:18Speaker 6: was leaving, he'd be leaving. But yeah, I think at
- 11:20Speaker 6: Kansas City was one that that had some buzz. I
- 11:22Speaker 6: would be really surprised by it, by a DA Cam reuniting,
- 11:27Speaker 6: But I would have been really surprised by Cam and uh,
- 11:30Speaker 6: I'm sorry DA and Chauncey Gardner Johnson reuniting and that happens.
- 11:35Speaker 6: So if that can be amended, anything can be you know,
- 11:38Speaker 6: any any bridge can be amended. But at some point,
- 11:41Speaker 6: I don't know, man, Like the does Cam just move on?
- 11:45Speaker 6: You know you look at that that Pass Rusher list,
- 11:47Speaker 6: and like how many guys got to start and finish
- 11:50Speaker 6: with the same team, Like there's something special about it
- 11:52Speaker 6: that you know, it's just being sentimental, but I'd love
- 11:56Speaker 6: to see him finish his career where it started and
- 11:59Speaker 6: just have it be, you know, not not have like
- 12:01Speaker 6: the weird zombie jersey that you see, like someday you
- 12:04Speaker 6: go to like a like an Eagles game ten years
- 12:06Speaker 6: from now, and like there's someone in a Camp Jordan
- 12:08Speaker 6: Jersey and you're like, oh, yeah, he played for them,
- 12:09Speaker 6: Like yeah, that that shouldn't that that shouldn't It shouldn't end
- 12:12Speaker 6: like that, Like I hope it gets to end the
- 12:14Speaker 6: right way.
- 12:14Speaker 5: How many years has he had that double locker set up?
- 12:16Speaker 5: You know?
- 12:18Speaker 6: Man? I got here in fourteen and maybe I want
- 12:22Speaker 6: to say by fifteen sixteen, like it was kind of
- 12:25Speaker 6: it was kind of Cam's like, you know, his his
- 12:27Speaker 6: little corner of the world, but was over there.
- 12:30Speaker 7: I want to say that that would be the most
- 12:31Speaker 7: telling piece of information that I've heard in this whole
- 12:34Speaker 7: Camp Jordan situation.
- 12:36Speaker 6: Yeah, so the one locker is still there, like it's
- 12:39Speaker 6: being held, but yeah, I mean that's that was That
- 12:44Speaker 6: was the setup. Man, Like Alvin still has his locker,
- 12:48Speaker 6: it's still in the same place. He's on the team. There,
- 12:51Speaker 6: there's a locker. There was a locker for Taysom, which
- 12:55Speaker 6: I think no longer exists, and then the Cam one's gone.
- 12:57Speaker 6: So yeah, that was when I walked in. I was like,
- 12:59Speaker 6: oh my god, like they might actually be willing to
- 13:02Speaker 6: move on. And if they aren't moving on like they're
- 13:04Speaker 6: sending a message here that you know, hey, look new culture,
- 13:07Speaker 6: new start, new regime, Like we aren't having the these
- 13:10Speaker 6: you know, the mayor of past rush down anymore. Like
- 13:13Speaker 6: it's it's a crazy look, man.
- 13:15Speaker 3: I mean, look, there's there's there's been nothing to point
- 13:19Speaker 3: to Cam coming back. It's been the complete opposite. Them
- 13:23Speaker 3: trading for an edge rusher during the draft, them signing
- 13:25Speaker 3: an edge rusher right after the draft. Every mood that
- 13:28Speaker 3: they have made, including moving this locker out, has pointed
- 13:32Speaker 3: to him not being a New Orleans Saint.
- 13:34Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, look what like I would very easily
- 13:38Speaker 6: put Cam ahead of Tyree Wilson if I was stack
- 13:40Speaker 6: in a death sharp but like what if Tyree Wilson
- 13:42Speaker 6: ends up? You know they're comparable, Like which way do
- 13:45Speaker 6: they go? Do they go with the guy that they
- 13:46Speaker 6: feel like they can resign and maybe have around for
- 13:49Speaker 6: a while, Like it's it's it's an interesting situation. And look,
- 13:52Speaker 6: he was down to basically playing first and second down
- 13:54Speaker 6: and that that's what Jennings does. So, like I said,
- 13:57Speaker 6: everything they've done is they've built this to where if
- 14:00Speaker 6: he doesn't come back, it doesn't probably swing their their
- 14:03Speaker 6: reality and if he does come back, like they got
- 14:06Speaker 6: extra depth there, but it's a you know, not a
- 14:09Speaker 6: lot of money and not a lot of opportunity. It
- 14:10Speaker 6: doesn't look like if so, it's it's a it's a
- 14:14Speaker 6: very it's all very telling man. And then the locker goes.
- 14:17Speaker 6: I think they're fine with whatever outcome happens here. It's it's, hey,
- 14:21Speaker 6: we would love to have you here, we'd love to
- 14:22Speaker 6: have you finish your career, but if you don't want
- 14:24Speaker 6: to do it on these terms, like we were good,
- 14:27Speaker 6: like we're okay over here.
- 14:28Speaker 7: Looker, thanks wild It is all right. Let's let's move
- 14:31Speaker 7: on to that light locker thing. That's that's some that's
- 14:34Speaker 7: some pretty hard hitted news for me. That means they're
- 14:36Speaker 7: definitely okay with moving on. All right, let's go to
- 14:39Speaker 7: ot as a little bit more. Has did Jordan Tyson
- 14:42Speaker 7: find as socks?
- 14:45Speaker 6: He hasn't practiced yet. I haven't seen him really really
- 14:47Speaker 6: do anything. He's you know, he's out there now though,
- 14:50Speaker 6: So that's that's something like he's watching the practices now.
- 14:53Speaker 6: He wasn't for for I don't know what day it
- 14:55Speaker 6: was the second day of rookie camp or whatever. He
- 14:57Speaker 6: wasn't out there.
- 14:58Speaker 5: Expected is just like a little bit, man, we should
- 15:01Speaker 5: have known.
- 15:02Speaker 6: Well, look, here's like they're telling it is a ramp up.
- 15:04Speaker 6: But here's the thing. The very first day of rookie
- 15:06Speaker 6: can't be practiced fully. So the ramp up was off
- 15:10Speaker 6: the ramp I guess. And then you go down and
- 15:12Speaker 6: now like, I don't know, man, Like I could be
- 15:15Speaker 6: being too cynical, but to me, it kind of signifies
- 15:17Speaker 6: that maybe something you know, maybe maybe maybe.
- 15:19Speaker 5: Something messaging what they did, right.
- 15:23Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, which look if they which is covering it
- 15:26Speaker 6: up good like to protect the player.
- 15:29Speaker 5: Yeah, that's right.
- 15:29Speaker 7: But yeah, rampop doesn't mean full throttle first day of practice.
- 15:33Speaker 7: Then he's gonna set out through it, yes, yeah, and
- 15:34Speaker 7: you guys, and this was this is the worry.
- 15:37Speaker 3: This is like if he was fully healthy, it's like, yeah,
- 15:40Speaker 3: that that makes all the sense in the world. But
- 15:42Speaker 3: this is the worry. This was the deal, like, you know,
- 15:45Speaker 3: just not out there and you're wondering, is he gonna practice,
- 15:48Speaker 3: is he gonna play? How amazing going to play? So
- 15:51Speaker 3: if it was another player, I don't think we'd care.
- 15:53Speaker 3: But Nick, with that being kind of the red flag
- 15:55Speaker 3: in the draft, process. That's I think why you kind
- 15:57Speaker 3: of hold your breath.
- 15:59Speaker 6: Yeah, no doubt about it. Yeah, I mean one hundred percent.
- 16:03Speaker 6: It's kind of you know, the wounds there and you're
- 16:05Speaker 6: kind of like, you know, I'm actually not because like
- 16:10Speaker 6: it's early, and I like, I like that they at
- 16:12Speaker 6: least have a plan and they aren't being dumb about
- 16:14Speaker 6: it and they aren't pressing them. We used to see
- 16:16Speaker 6: coaching staffs that kind of made, you know, guys with
- 16:18Speaker 6: like broken ankles go out and play football on those things.
- 16:22Speaker 6: So I like the fact that they're smart enough to
- 16:25Speaker 6: back off it. But it is, it is one hundred
- 16:26Speaker 6: percent the concern. It's the Marshawn Lattimore thing, Like you
- 16:29Speaker 6: got a great player if he stays healthy. He had
- 16:33Speaker 6: bad hamstrings that worked out, and you've seen guys they've
- 16:35Speaker 6: drafted that have been hurt and never get healthy and
- 16:37Speaker 6: then it's a colossal mistake it. You know, the fragility
- 16:41Speaker 6: of the wide receiver room is is just evident though
- 16:44Speaker 6: every time you go out there right now, like you
- 16:46Speaker 6: try to look past it, and you know, oh, like
- 16:49Speaker 6: they got a lot of entice and it's a ton
- 16:51Speaker 6: of talent, and but both those guys could very easily
- 16:53Speaker 6: miss a lot of time, and him not practicing is
- 16:56Speaker 6: a reminder of that. But yeah, like Jake to your point,
- 16:59Speaker 6: like chrisian Miller is in practice, and like we aren't
- 17:02Speaker 6: really talking about that. Oscar delp left I practice and
- 17:06Speaker 6: was you know, kind of down the second ota. We
- 17:10Speaker 6: aren't talking about that. It's because of who he is
- 17:12Speaker 6: in the history. And look, he's gonna be guilty until
- 17:15Speaker 6: proven innocent on these injuries. It's just kind of the
- 17:17Speaker 6: way it is.
- 17:20Speaker 3: It's gonna be something. Probably the biggest storyline that we
- 17:23Speaker 3: watch during training camp is is he going to be
- 17:24Speaker 3: out there? How many days is he going to be
- 17:26Speaker 3: out there in a row? How many times is he
- 17:28Speaker 3: going to sit out? You know, he's got some juicy
- 17:31Speaker 3: ones they do they do between that and ak storyline
- 17:34Speaker 3: and where's Cam Jordan and just a lot of situations
- 17:37Speaker 3: certainly out there for the Saints. Nicholas, we always appreciate it.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Sorry you have to go to the dentist, but okay,
- 17:44Speaker 3: your moon roof looks great, Skys look great.
- 17:48Speaker 6: Appreciate you guys.

- 18:07Speaker 3: I got a jeep. They press a button in it
- 18:10Speaker 3: opens up the whole roof.
- 18:13Speaker 7: That's true. It was good skies though, perfect class cover.
- 18:16Speaker 7: But the sun wasn't blaring in our eyes.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Yeah, that'd have been bad. Good for him, all right.
- 18:22Speaker 3: A couple things to hit on. I think with the Saints.

- 20:53Speaker 3: Yeah, we ain't talking about that fake stuff man, talking
- 20:55Speaker 3: about that Chinese steel, talking about that real steal, about
- 20:58Speaker 3: that Indian steel. That's right, Community Steell code dot count.
- 21:05Speaker 5: I don't even want that Almama Steel, of course not.
- 21:09Speaker 3: I did find it interesting that ESPN article, like, out
- 21:12Speaker 3: of the entire NFL, it only had ten players that
- 21:14Speaker 3: they highlighted that could be traded, and two of them
- 21:17Speaker 3: were from the New Orleans Saints and Spencer Ratler is
- 21:20Speaker 3: an interesting one. You do sign Zach Wilson in case
- 21:23Speaker 3: this happens, because I think you believe in him as
- 21:25Speaker 3: a player, and there was flashes last year of him
- 21:28Speaker 3: being capable in the NFL, and I am surprised the team,
- 21:33Speaker 3: like the Jets, hasn't called the Saints about a Spencer Rattler.
- 21:37Speaker 3: I kind of hope he doesn't.
- 21:38Speaker 7: I don't you hear did you see Nick talking about him?
- 21:42Speaker 7: He wanted to say he's actually that Spencer's like probably
- 21:47Speaker 7: looking the best out there. He's not by any like
- 21:51Speaker 7: don't take that the wrong way, but he's going into
- 21:53Speaker 7: year three. It's like he's just saying he looks really
- 21:55Speaker 7: good at practice. I think he should be traded. Somebody
- 22:02Speaker 7: should trade for him. Yeah, I think there's enough out there.
- 22:05Speaker 7: I think there's a there's plenty of good tape to
- 22:07Speaker 7: go out there to look around and look. Coaches talk,
- 22:12Speaker 7: scouts talk. They know, like I someone like the Jets.
- 22:15Speaker 7: I don't want him to go to the Jets. Whether
- 22:18Speaker 7: I'm like, wait till somebody gets hurt, can go to
- 22:22Speaker 7: the I don't know, the Niners, the Lions, the.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Lions, because he'd be he'd probably really be, he'd be.
- 22:32Speaker 5: Really good in just Er Daniels. Yeah, he's a kind
- 22:36Speaker 5: of fits that mold, I think anyway.
- 22:39Speaker 3: And then Al Kamara would be the other player on
- 22:42Speaker 3: the list. As we talked about there, and and so
- 22:47Speaker 3: the write up talks about it. It actually says the
- 22:49Speaker 3: Saints blood veteran turns thirty one in July, a post
- 22:52Speaker 3: of career lows and touches and scrimmage yards. In twenty
- 22:55Speaker 3: twenty five, New Orleans also gave big money to Travis
- 22:58Speaker 3: h Chan and free agency has a crowded running back
- 23:00Speaker 3: room that includes Kenjre Miller, Andre Gessime, and ty Chandler.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Kamara has one year left on his contract, which has
- 23:06Speaker 3: been amended so many times it's difficult to truly asset
- 23:09Speaker 3: assessed the size of the assets they're in, the dead
- 23:13Speaker 3: money burden that New Orleans will take on whenever he's gone,
- 23:16Speaker 3: that's very New Orleans. I have a contract that's confusing
- 23:20Speaker 3: even for an NFL writer. I don't know at this point.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Like I can see a backfield with both of them.
- 23:28Speaker 3: I can see a backfield that has both those players
- 23:30Speaker 3: and a backfield that actually thrives because they have both
- 23:33Speaker 3: those players. I don't think you give Alvin Kamara away
- 23:35Speaker 3: for peanuts. What's the point why? And what's the team
- 23:38Speaker 3: willing to give up for a thirty one year old
- 23:39Speaker 3: running back? Probably not a lot So in this scenario
- 23:42Speaker 3: with these two players, I would actually say Spencer Ratler
- 23:45Speaker 3: would be the more likely to be traded because you
- 23:47Speaker 3: have Tayler Shuck, your young quarterback that you drafted a
- 23:50Speaker 3: year ago, and then you sign a former top five
- 23:52Speaker 3: pick in Zach Wilson in case, you know, break glass,
- 23:55Speaker 3: in case of emergency. So he's the one that would
- 23:58Speaker 3: have more value. And you have people in place on
- 24:01Speaker 3: both sides that you've kind of you know, you sign
- 24:03Speaker 3: a Zach Wilson in case you move a Spencer Rattler.
- 24:06Speaker 7: Yeah, I think so. I'm I'm thinking about this. Alvin
- 24:11Speaker 7: Kamara and Cam Jordan's situation both mean a lot to
- 24:14Speaker 7: the organization. Both mean a lot to the fan base,
- 24:17Speaker 7: I'm sure a lot of the ownership.
- 24:19Speaker 5: Yeah, and they are.
- 24:22Speaker 7: In similar situations, but in some cases to me, like
- 24:25Speaker 7: complete opposite situations. Like Kamara, they have a place for Kamara,
- 24:30Speaker 7: they have a place for Cam Jordan. Great, if you're
- 24:32Speaker 7: on our team, awesome, we'd love to have you.
- 24:35Speaker 3: For Kamara.
- 24:35Speaker 7: You're gonna have to make us an offer we can't refuse,
- 24:38Speaker 7: But we're okay with that. We got we got a plan.
- 24:40Speaker 7: Make us an offer we can't refuse. On the other
- 24:45Speaker 7: side of things, for Kim Jordan, they've made him an
- 24:49Speaker 7: offer that.
- 24:50Speaker 5: He can refuse, right, And that's the situation now.
- 24:53Speaker 7: They I think they would like to have and they
- 24:56Speaker 7: would probably say leaning towards we want to have you
- 24:59Speaker 7: on the team, but they're definitely saying we don't need
- 25:02Speaker 7: you on the team.
- 25:02Speaker 5: Yeah, oh sure, there are one hundred percent saying that.
- 25:07Speaker 7: But to go back to your question on the trade, Yeah,
- 25:09Speaker 7: I would think from those two pieces and just basically
- 25:13Speaker 7: based on different contract situations with Kamara, like the most
- 25:16Speaker 7: likely to be traded would probably be Rattler. Now I
- 25:19Speaker 7: would lean on Nick Underhill's expertise, but he didn't really.
- 25:22Speaker 5: Know how to answer the question either.
- 25:23Speaker 7: He just kind of like he said, Kamara just because
- 25:26Speaker 7: we put a gun to his head there that that
- 25:29Speaker 7: was his word. I think that something always happens in
- 25:33Speaker 7: training camp, right with with injuries with different teams. Maybe
- 25:38Speaker 7: a guy that thought was going to be the dude
- 25:40Speaker 7: turns out to be a dud. And I would think
- 25:45Speaker 7: that if somebody's going to make a trade for a quarterback,
- 25:47Speaker 7: it Spencer Rattler would be up there because you look
- 25:51Speaker 7: around the lead we talked about the list of backup
- 25:52Speaker 7: quarterbacks yesterday. How many of those guys are young guys
- 25:57Speaker 7: that you can get for a cheap price.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Sure, there's a lot of teams that if they get hurt,
- 26:01Speaker 5: they'd love to trade for Joe Flacco, But like, are
- 26:04Speaker 5: you going to trade?
- 26:04Speaker 3: Like what are you trying to do?
- 26:05Speaker 5: You're trying to put a band aid on something or
- 26:07Speaker 5: get someone that potentially could stick around for a handful
- 26:10Speaker 5: of years. So I think that he would at least
- 26:12Speaker 5: be in that conversation. I think he's proven.
- 26:14Speaker 7: I think other coaches that he played against on other teams,
- 26:18Speaker 7: the messaging that they gave to the media, We're like
- 26:22Speaker 7: this guy's good. Yeah, Like yeah, they're not winning and
- 26:26Speaker 7: that's the problem. They didn't make the plays when he
- 26:28Speaker 7: needed to down the down the stretch, and that's the
- 26:32Speaker 7: reason why he got benched. Right, But there's there's gonna
- 26:36Speaker 7: be a place for him at some point now if
- 26:38Speaker 7: it does he take advantage of that situation? Does he
- 26:40Speaker 7: take advantage of that opportunity that remains to be seen, Right,
- 26:43Speaker 7: But then just listen to what Nick Underhill said about
- 26:46Speaker 7: him at ots right now, Like there's a spot for
- 26:48Speaker 7: him in the national Football League, And to.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Give you the full list real quick before take a break.
- 26:54Speaker 3: The list of the ten players at ESPN dot com
- 26:57Speaker 3: could see moved before the trade deadline. Max Crosby, of
- 27:01Speaker 3: course Vegas. He's already been traded and fell through. Kayshawn
- 27:04Speaker 3: Boody actually falls in this list as well, James Connor,
- 27:08Speaker 3: Brandon Ayuk, Kyle Pitts, Spencer Rattler, Josh Sweat, Alvin Kamara,
- 27:14Speaker 3: Keavon Thibodeau, and Mac Jones.
- 27:17Speaker 5: Kyle Pitts is interesting to me.
- 27:18Speaker 3: Well, he's on the franchise deal right now, franchise tax
- 27:21Speaker 3: right so.
- 27:22Speaker 7: He finally kind of showed the promise that was promised
- 27:27Speaker 7: to everybody right this past season.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Mac Jones is an interesting one too, just because he
- 27:34Speaker 3: did play really well for the Niners last year.
- 27:36Speaker 7: What what does he on the list? Is he he's
- 27:38Speaker 7: got it's not ranked, Okay. I would think that if
- 27:43Speaker 7: you are looking to trade, if you're if you're a friend,
- 27:45Speaker 7: let's just let's just say they say the Jets, something
- 27:47Speaker 7: happens in Geno Smith.
- 27:49Speaker 5: Yeah, in preseason. If you're looking to trade for a
- 27:52Speaker 5: young quarterback, is Mac Jones one, maybe Spencer two?
- 27:57Speaker 7: I'm talking about guys that could be potentially a backup guys.
- 28:03Speaker 5: The way Mac Jones played last year, I would mac
- 28:05Speaker 5: Jones won. Yeah, as far as trading for quarterbacks would
- 28:10Speaker 5: Would you agree with that statement?
- 28:11Speaker 3: I think so.
- 28:12Speaker 7: Now Spencer can add a little bit more with his
- 28:15Speaker 7: legs and his feet and capability right that sometimes you
- 28:19Speaker 7: want in a emergency style type of position.
- 28:24Speaker 3: I mean mac Jones completed seventy of his passes last year.
- 28:27Speaker 5: I almost put him in a top ten at one
- 28:29Speaker 5: point when he did it like three weeks in a row.
- 28:34Speaker 5: I didn't, but almost, right, So they.
- 28:39Speaker 3: Get a valuable ass asset for sure. Never thought i'd
- 28:43Speaker 3: say that.
- 28:43Speaker 5: You almost said valuable ass.
- 28:46Speaker 3: I don't know. He's kind of frumpy in his uniform.

- 30:29Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, Tuesday
- 30:32Speaker 1: Show presented by Community Seal.
- 31:05Speaker 5: All right, welcome back here off the Bench. Hey, talking
- 31:09Speaker 5: to the break here. I know a lot of hot
- 31:12Speaker 5: goss out there, a lot of juicy content with this
- 31:16Speaker 5: Prince Swordsby fella. You're reading up on, Milandra. What'd you
- 31:20Speaker 5: find out?
- 31:20Speaker 9: Yeah, I am. People probably maybe already knew this, but
- 31:24Speaker 9: we were talking earlier. Also, did you say, Brent Soorsby,
- 31:28Speaker 9: it's okay?
- 31:29Speaker 5: I said, Brent, I don't know.
- 31:30Speaker 9: I said, would be it's okay, I said, missipis Stani. Yeah,
- 31:36Speaker 9: just reading a little bit more about Brendan Soorsby, And
- 31:39Speaker 9: earlier in the show, if you missed it, we were
- 31:41Speaker 9: talking about it, and we were talking about like, how
- 31:44Speaker 9: does Texas Tech not do their due diligence and still
- 31:49Speaker 9: go get Brendan Soorsby knowing that he was gambling. And
- 31:53Speaker 9: then it's like you could play Devil's Advocate and be like, oh, well,
- 31:56Speaker 9: maybe they didn't know, but Cincinnati was notified about Brennan
- 32:01Speaker 9: Soresby gambling back in August of twenty twenty five. So
- 32:06Speaker 9: I feel like that's something maybe you should have known
- 32:09Speaker 9: if your Texas Tech definitely knew it at Cincinnati, and
- 32:13Speaker 9: Cincinnati decided not to do anything about it either. But
- 32:17Speaker 9: this was something that has been being looked at since
- 32:21Speaker 9: at least August twenty twenty five, and if I had
- 32:24Speaker 9: to guess, it was before that, because there's no way
- 32:26Speaker 9: that it might have been while he was at Indiana
- 32:29Speaker 9: that they were already looking at his stuff.
- 32:33Speaker 10: I remember when it first came out, everyone said Cincinnati
- 32:37Speaker 10: could potentially be in trouble for this because a lot
- 32:38Speaker 10: of people believed that they did know and let him
- 32:41Speaker 10: play anyway. So like, yeah, my earlier point too, damn.
- 32:45Speaker 5: Bad Texas Tech.
- 32:46Speaker 10: You didn't do you due diligence for whatever reason, A
- 32:48Speaker 10: lot of people knew this was out there, you didn't.
- 32:50Speaker 5: You screwed up. Sorry, you lose five mil? Is what
- 32:54Speaker 5: it is? Do better research? Yeah, but they didn't know.
- 32:57Speaker 5: They didn't come out until after he was there.
- 32:59Speaker 3: Right what the.
- 33:03Speaker 9: Texas Tech. So yeah, like I don't know if Cincinnati
- 33:07Speaker 9: told Texas Tech about Brendan Soresby being a gambler or
- 33:11Speaker 9: I don't know if somehow Texas Tech knew that before
- 33:15Speaker 9: they got him, but definitely after in April is when
- 33:20Speaker 9: Texas Tech was notified about it, so Cincinnati for sure knew,
- 33:26Speaker 9: who knows what sort of communication Texas Tech had with them,
- 33:29Speaker 9: but they were notified in April, and that's obviously when
- 33:32Speaker 9: everything started to kind of unravel. But what kind of
- 33:37Speaker 9: bothers me about this is how his lawyer, like his attorneys.
- 33:43Speaker 9: It feels kind of arrogant and just kind of like
- 33:46Speaker 9: just very annoying because they're trying to make him seem
- 33:48Speaker 9: like he's a victim.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Here very much.
- 33:50Speaker 9: And I know and I understand that, but like I
- 33:55Speaker 9: get it, but also like I think, if you truly
- 33:59Speaker 9: have a ambling addiction, which I think Brendan Soresby did have,
- 34:02Speaker 9: I think that's sad for sure. But you weren't going
- 34:05Speaker 9: to check yourself into rehab if Texas Tech didn't tell
- 34:10Speaker 9: you that you had to like it well, because they
- 34:13Speaker 9: were like, yeah, because you've been doing it, and they're like, okay,
- 34:15Speaker 9: let's put you in rehab and then we're gonna make
- 34:16Speaker 9: this excuse that you're a gambling addict and that you
- 34:19Speaker 9: have anxiety. And so because you have anxiety, the NCAA
- 34:23Speaker 9: has to give you more eligibility and let you play.
- 34:27Speaker 9: Because this is going to be detrimental to your mental
- 34:29Speaker 9: health and like whatever, Like they're just trying to make
- 34:32Speaker 9: him sound like he's mentally ill, and maybe he is.
- 34:35Speaker 9: Like I just don't think that because you're a gambling
- 34:38Speaker 9: addict that you should be given more room to make
- 34:45Speaker 9: mistakes than the average person.
- 34:47Speaker 10: Right and well, and to your point, to take it
- 34:49Speaker 10: a step further, does Texas Tech even want to put
- 34:51Speaker 10: him in rehab if the NCAA doesn't figure it out exactly,
- 34:55Speaker 10: are they truly trying to help him or are they like, hey,
- 34:57Speaker 10: we're gonna send you to a thirty dollars yeah program.
- 35:00Speaker 5: Yeah, get out of here with that correp I mean,
- 35:02Speaker 5: even if you are okay and I get it, there
- 35:05Speaker 5: is addiction out there everywhere, and an addiction if you
- 35:08Speaker 5: know somebody or I have to suffered with yourself. You know,
- 35:11Speaker 5: it's a sad thing. It can be a very sad thing.
- 35:13Speaker 5: But like the gambling addiction situation is, I'm sorry you
- 35:20Speaker 5: Still you broke the rule? Yeah, I don't care. Still rule.
- 35:23Speaker 7: At the end of the day, we get it and
- 35:25Speaker 7: we get all the help you want. I hope you
- 35:26Speaker 7: have a great career. I hope you play for fifty
- 35:29Speaker 7: five years in the NFL. Hope you have an awesome one,
- 35:33Speaker 7: but like, you broke our rules and if like we
- 35:36Speaker 7: don't enforce something on these rules, then everything is going
- 35:40Speaker 7: to crumble around us. And we can't make the excuse
- 35:43Speaker 7: because you had a gambling addiction. And addiction is also
- 35:48Speaker 7: something that people can use as an excuse, and that's
- 35:51Speaker 7: what and that's why you don't know, like you never
- 35:54Speaker 7: know when it's actually a problem with somebody or not,
- 35:58Speaker 7: or it's just an excuse.
- 35:59Speaker 10: He is a punish and not playing against ambling Christian
- 36:02Speaker 10: mats or or.
- 36:05Speaker 9: This quote specifically from the lawsuit is what really irritated me. Quote.
- 36:13Speaker 9: Instead of exercising compassion, the NC double A has responded
- 36:17Speaker 9: with silence, repeated information demands, and delay. The NC double
- 36:21Speaker 9: a's response reflects a self protective bureaucracy that has abandoned
- 36:25Speaker 9: its professed commitment to student athlete well being and that
- 36:29Speaker 9: ignores the contractual and legal obligations it owes to student athletes.
- 36:33Speaker 9: Which I could argue that the NC double A, yes,
- 36:37Speaker 9: for sure being a little self protective here, but I
- 36:40Speaker 9: think that you are kind of looking out for the
- 36:43Speaker 9: student athletes well being because you're like, hey, you're not
- 36:45Speaker 9: allowed to do this, sharing for it, right.
- 36:49Speaker 7: Exactly, your kid does something wrong, you have to punish
- 36:52Speaker 7: him for men they can, you can't.
- 36:54Speaker 5: It is bad for them in the long run if
- 36:55Speaker 5: you let them get away with it.
- 36:57Speaker 10: Yeah, you could say, oh, well, the NCAA is not
- 36:59Speaker 10: looking into the best interest of the student athlete.
- 37:01Speaker 3: I guess you are.
- 37:02Speaker 9: You are.
- 37:02Speaker 6: I don't.
- 37:03Speaker 10: I don't know the character of bendetz Orsby. I'm not
- 37:05Speaker 10: accusing him of anything. But if he can get away
- 37:07Speaker 10: from this, get away with this, what happens when he's
- 37:09Speaker 10: done playing football and he goes up and maybe breaks
- 37:11Speaker 10: a law. Potentially that could happen. Yeah, and he's not
- 37:15Speaker 10: gonna get away with that. He's like, wait a minute,
- 37:16Speaker 10: I only got a slap on the wrist for for
- 37:18Speaker 10: this my entire life. Why am I all of a
- 37:20Speaker 10: sudden trying to face the real world. I just think
- 37:22Speaker 10: it has the opposite of.
- 37:23Speaker 7: Fe I would agree with y'all, it has the opposite like,
- 37:25Speaker 7: not only you're not looking out for the betterment of
- 37:27Speaker 7: college athletics or the kid.
- 37:29Speaker 9: Yeah, for sure.
- 37:32Speaker 3: And also like, now, if you're a college athlete, you're
- 37:35Speaker 3: you have to be thinking, Hell, I can do whatever
- 37:38Speaker 3: I want, y'all.
- 37:39Speaker 9: I'm addicted to speeding only that.
- 37:42Speaker 7: Yeah, about the parents of a lot of these players, Yeah,
- 37:47Speaker 7: they probably think we can do whatever.
- 37:49Speaker 5: That we want. Yeah, everybody around them, And of course,
- 37:55Speaker 5: like all these coaches, now, these coaches that are even
- 37:58Speaker 5: the like I'm not trying to say like every like
- 38:01Speaker 5: there's probably coaches out there that don't want to take
- 38:03Speaker 5: advantage of the system they have.
- 38:05Speaker 7: Yea, they want the betterment of college football. They want
- 38:08Speaker 7: that high academia that like the kids to get an educate.
- 38:10Speaker 7: They want it to be a little bit more similar
- 38:12Speaker 7: to what it used to be. It'll never be that,
- 38:14Speaker 7: we get it, but they they want to hold it
- 38:17Speaker 7: in a high regard, high standard because they have high
- 38:19Speaker 7: respect for college athletic But even they have to be like, Okay,
- 38:25Speaker 7: to be able to compete and keep my job, Like
- 38:28Speaker 7: we have to push the we have to we have
- 38:31Speaker 7: to push the envelope, Like how do you do that?
- 38:33Speaker 7: Coaches are now and then you got someone the opposite end,
- 38:35Speaker 7: they're like, I just want to do it all the time. Right,
- 38:38Speaker 7: You're gonna have that everywhere, but like, how are these
- 38:41Speaker 7: rules gonna They're going to continue to push the limits.
- 38:43Speaker 7: They're going to continue to push the limits until somebody
- 38:49Speaker 7: gets made an example.
- 38:50Speaker 9: This is another really annoying somebody will get.
- 38:52Speaker 5: Made an example at some point, hopefully.
- 38:53Speaker 9: Yeah, this is another really annoying quote in the suit.
- 38:57Speaker 9: Time is of the essence. The filing states, this is
- 38:59Speaker 9: miss's last year of collegiate eligibility, a once in a
- 39:03Speaker 9: lifetime opportunity that, once lost, can never be recovered. Okay,
- 39:06Speaker 9: well he's done it at two other schools, so I
- 39:09Speaker 9: wouldn't call it a once in a lifetime opportunity. Also, like,
- 39:12Speaker 9: if this was his last year of collegiate eligibility and
- 39:16Speaker 9: he didn't want to lose that last year of eligibility,
- 39:19Speaker 9: you shouldn't have done the one thing that's gonna get
- 39:21Speaker 9: you permanently banned. I mean, it's not the one thing,
- 39:24Speaker 9: but you know what I mean, like biggest, it's the
- 39:26Speaker 9: biggest thing that like, do not bet on your own team. Yeah,
- 39:29Speaker 9: y'all said it at the beginning of the show. They
- 39:32Speaker 9: would bring people in, and the two things they told
- 39:35Speaker 9: you were I.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Forgot the first one.
- 39:37Speaker 9: Agent don't talk to an agent, and don't gamble. It
- 39:41Speaker 9: is so easy to follow those two rules. I mean, well,
- 39:44Speaker 9: now you can talk to agents, but it's so easy
- 39:47Speaker 9: to not bet on your own team or even gamble.
- 39:51Speaker 9: And I get people are gonna make the argument of like,
- 39:53Speaker 9: well all the ads and like we're sitting here talking
- 39:55Speaker 9: about sports, and when then we'll tell you about draggings.
- 39:57Speaker 9: I get that, but like, just follow the one rule.
- 40:01Speaker 3: You can bet, we can gamble, you can bet, you
- 40:03Speaker 3: can bet on whatever the hell you want. It just
- 40:05Speaker 3: can't be your team.
- 40:06Speaker 10: Well two days one, Now, if they have that competition
- 40:10Speaker 10: with athletes at all, they're gonna say, uh, they're telling
- 40:12Speaker 10: me not to do this, but I can do it.
- 40:13Speaker 5: Britnet's always we did it.
- 40:14Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 40:15Speaker 10: I'll get away with it. I'll still bet on my
- 40:16Speaker 10: own team. Also, I never understood the argument of, well,
- 40:20Speaker 10: all the ad dollars they're making on okay, so why
- 40:24Speaker 10: is it?
- 40:24Speaker 5: Why do you get to bet on it?
- 40:25Speaker 10: As a player, you get the privilege of playing college football.
- 40:29Speaker 10: In return, you don't get to bet on your own team.
- 40:32Speaker 10: We don't get the privileges, we don't get the millions
- 40:34Speaker 10: of dollars in an IL, but you know what, we
- 40:36Speaker 10: get to bet on the team. It's a give and
- 40:38Speaker 10: take I've never understood the argument of, well, all these
- 40:42Speaker 10: sports betting companies are making money off the backs of
- 40:44Speaker 10: these players. Yes, that's that's kind of how life works. Sorry,
- 40:48Speaker 10: there's a given take and everything. Yeah, that's every business.
- 40:53Speaker 5: We were told.
- 40:54Speaker 9: Players that people under eighteen can't gamble everybody.
- 40:57Speaker 7: Yeah, doesn't matter how gid you are. Tom Radio has
- 40:59Speaker 7: told this, the game ton't know you anything. The game
- 41:02Speaker 7: that you play will exist after you're done, after you retire,
- 41:06Speaker 7: after you die, everything, the game will be there. You
- 41:09Speaker 7: will not. It does not owe you anything. What's happening
- 41:12Speaker 7: now in college sports is people now think the game
- 41:15Speaker 7: owes them something.
- 41:16Speaker 9: Yeah, and do.
- 41:20Speaker 7: You think, yeah, you made some good plays, but like, yeah,
- 41:23Speaker 7: get out of here.
- 41:24Speaker 9: You think you're owed a big contract your first year
- 41:27Speaker 9: out of.
- 41:27Speaker 5: School, and because everybody's told them how great they were.
- 41:33Speaker 9: Sorry, Brendan, you broke it.
- 41:35Speaker 5: Broke the like the Cardinal Sin, the biggest run.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't do it, cannot do it. It is.
- 41:40Speaker 9: I'm so sorry that this one. Yeah, this one in
- 41:43Speaker 9: a lifetime opportunity was quote unquote taken away from you
- 41:47Speaker 9: because you bet.
- 41:48Speaker 5: You know what else is the attorneys say that prison, Yeah,
- 41:52Speaker 5: well criminal defense. Oh, his life's potentially over.
- 41:55Speaker 10: No, it's not. He's a young guy. He's in college.
- 41:57Speaker 10: You can do whatever you want in life. Nobody can't do.
- 41:59Speaker 10: He can't play for Texas Tech year. That's the only
- 42:01Speaker 10: thing you can't do.
- 42:02Speaker 9: You still got a little under two weeks to go
- 42:04Speaker 9: into the supplemental drifts.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Yeah, are playing in Canada. A lot of different opportunities.
- 42:09Speaker 5: You can go and with all your audience, beat the
- 42:12Speaker 5: next bet Levi I Mitchell.
- 42:13Speaker 3: That's one thing we don't know if he won.
- 42:14Speaker 5: We don't know if he want if he did, Lan,
- 42:16Speaker 5: I mean.
- 42:19Speaker 3: All right, Uh, we'll step away one final time. I

- 45:16Speaker 9: Yeah, not clicking the screen and seeing how many pages
- 45:18Speaker 9: you've that.
- 45:19Speaker 5: Being said, I prefer an audio book.
