  feels unfair. Have you ever looked at your
• 0:14
  life and thought, this isn't fair?
• 0:16
  You tried your best, you made the right choices, you stayed
• 0:19
  kind when others were rude, and yet somehow you're the one
• 0:22
  hurting. It can feel confusing and
• 0:25
  frustrating, especially when it seems like others are getting
• 0:28
  away with things while you're left picking up the pieces.
• 0:32
  Proverbs Chapter 11, verse 27 says whoever diligently seeks
• 0:37
  good seeks favor, but evil comes to him who searches for it.
• 0:41
  That verse reminds us that what we pursue matters.
• 0:44
  Seeking good isn't just about random acts of kindness.
• 0:48
  It's a daily decision to choose integrity, to choose obedience,
• 0:52
  to choose God's way even when it's harder.
• 0:55
  And God promises that kind of heart attracts his favor.
• 0:59
  But then we read Job chapters 8 to 10 and we see a man who was
• 1:03
  upright and still suffering deeply.
• 1:06
  In Job chapter 8, verses 5 to 6, his friend tells him, if you
• 1:10
  will seek God and plead with the Almighty for mercy, if you are
• 1:13
  pure and upright, surely then he will rouse himself for you and
• 1:17
  restore your rightful habitation.
• 1:20
  That sounds simple. Seek God and everything will be
• 1:23
  restored. But Jobs reality was more
• 1:26
  complicated than that. In Job chapter 10 verse three,
• 1:31
  Job cries out to God. Does it seem good to you to
• 1:34
  oppress, to despise the work of your hands and favor the designs
• 1:37
  of the wicked? That's an honest question.
• 1:40
  Job wasn't being disrespectful, he was being real.
• 1:44
  He couldn't understand why someone who loved God would go
• 1:47
  through so much pain. Sometimes life doesn't follow
• 1:50
  our expectations. You can seek good and still face
• 1:53
  loss. You can pray and still wait.
• 1:56
  You can obey and still struggle. Seeking God doesn't mean life
• 1:59
  will always be easy. It means you are choosing to
• 2:03
  anchor yourself in him instead of in bitterness.
• 2:05
  When life feels unfair, the temptation is to stop seeking
• 2:09
  good, to say what's the point? But Proverbs reminds us that
• 2:13
  diligently seeking good leads to favor.
• 2:16
  Not always instant results, but God's presence, his nearness,
• 2:20
  his sustaining grace. And that favor is deeper than
• 2:24
  temporary success. Like Job, you are allowed to
• 2:27
  bring your hard questions to God.
• 2:29
  You don't have to pretend you're fine.
• 2:31
  God can handle your confusion. He would rather you wrestle with
• 2:35
  him then walk away from him. Maybe right now you're in a
• 2:38
  season that doesn't make sense. Instead of giving up, keep
• 2:41
  seeking, Keep praying, keep choosing what is right.
• 2:46
  Trust that even when you don't see it, God sees your heart.
• 2:49
  He has not overlooked your faithfulness.
• 2:51
  Unfair moments do not cancel God's goodness.
• 2:54
  They do not erase His plans. They do not mean He has
• 2:57
  forgotten you. They are chapters, not
• 2:59
  conclusions. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, when life feels unfair and confusing, help me
• 3:05
  not to give up on You. Teach me to keep seeking what is
• 3:09
  good and to trust that You see my heart.
• 3:12
  Give me courage to bring my honest questions to You, knowing
• 3:15
  you can handle them. Remind me that your favor and
• 3:18
  your presence are with me even when I don't understand what's
• 3:21
  happening in Jesus name, Amen. What if the most important
• 3:26
  question in your life deserves more than a shallow answer?
• 3:29

  He does great things past finding out, yes, marvelous

  things without number. Behold, he goes by me, and I

  don't see him. He passes on also, but I don't

  perceive him. Behold, he snatches away.

  Who can hinder him? Who will ask him, What are you

  doing? God will not withdraw His anger.

  The helpers of Rahab stoop under him.

  How much less will I answer Him and choose my words to argue

  with Him. Though I were righteous, yet I

  wouldn't answer Him. I would make supplication to my

  judge. If I had called and He had

  answered me, yet I wouldn't believe that He listened to my

  voice. For He breaks me with a storm

  and multiplies my wounds without 'cause He will not allow me to

  catch my breath, but fills me with bitterness.

  If it is a matter of strength, behold, He is mighty.

  If of justice, who says He will summon me?

  Though I am righteous, my own mouth will condemn me.

  Though I am blameless, it will prove me perverse.

  I am blameless. I don't respect myself, I

  despise my life. It is all the same.

  Therefore I say, he destroys the blameless and the wicked.

  If the scourge kills suddenly, he will mock at the trial of the

  innocent. The earth is given into the hand

  of the wicked. He covers the faces of its

  judges. If not he, then who is it?

  Now my days are swifter than a runner.

  They flee away, they see no good.

  They have passed away as the swift ships, as the eagle that

  swoops on the prey. If I say I will forget my

  complaint, I will put off my sad face and cheer up.

  I am afraid of all my sorrows. I know that you will not hold me

  innocent. I will be condemned.

  Why then do I labor in vain? If I wash myself with snow and

  cleanse my hands with Lye, yet you will plunge me in the ditch.

  My own clothes will abhor me, for he is not a man as I am,

  that I should answer him, that we should come together in

  judgement. There is no umpire between us

  that might lay his hand on us both.

  Let him take his rod away from me.

  Let his terror not make me afraid.

  Then I would speak and not fear him, for I am not so in myself.

  My soul is weary of my life. I will give free course to my

  complaint. I will speak in the bitterness

  of my soul. I will tell God.

  Do not condemn me. Show me why you contend with me.

  Is it good to you that you should oppress, that you should

  despise the work of your hands and smile on the counsel of the

  wicked? Do you have eyes of flesh, or do

  you see as man sees? Are your days as the days of
• 9:36
  mortals, or your years as man's years, that you inquire after my
• 9:40
  iniquity and search after my sin?

  Although you know that I am not wicked, there is no one who can
• 9:46
  deliver out of your hand. Your hands have framed me and
• 9:49
  fashioned me all together, yet you destroy me.

  Remember, I beg you, that you have fashioned me as clay.
• 9:55
  Will you bring me into dust again?
• 9:57
  Haven't you poured me out like milk and curdled me like cheese?

  You have clothed me with skin and flesh and knit me together
• 10:03
  with bones and sinews. You have granted me life and
• 10:06
  loving kindness. Your visitation has preserved my
• 10:09
  spirit, yet you hid these things in your heart.

  I know that this is with you. If I sin, then you mark me.
• 10:15
  You will not acquit me from my iniquity.
• 10:17
  If I am wicked, woe to me. If I am righteous, I still will
• 10:21
  not lift up my head, being filled with disgrace and
• 10:24
  conscious of my affliction. If my head is held high, you
• 10:27
  hunt me like a lion. Again.

  You show yourself powerful to me.
• 10:31
  You renew your witnesses against me and increase your indignation
• 10:34
  on me. Changes and warfare are with me.
• 10:37
  Why then have you brought me out of the womb?
• 10:39
  I wish I had given up the Spirit and know I had seen me.
• 10:42
  I should have been as though I had not been.
• 10:44
  I should have been carried from the womb to the grave.
• 10:47
  Aren't my day's view stop? Leave me alone that I may find a
• 10:50
  little comfort before I go. Where I will not return from.
• 10:53
  To the land of darkness and of the shadow of death.
• 10:56
  The land dark as midnight. Of the shadow of death without
• 10:59
  any order. Where the light is as midnight.
