- 0:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. As your favorite time
- 0:05Speaker 1: of the week. You dabbled the crazy sheet. You something
- 0:08Speaker 1: cold to drink, gold to walk, go for a run,
- 0:11Speaker 1: drive your asses to work. We don't care. We're just
- 0:13Speaker 1: happy you're here. I'm marking, I'm here in the podcasting studio, Scottie.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Is it out on the road? Brother? How the hell
- 0:19Speaker 1: are you?
- 0:19Speaker 2: Man? I'm good.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Gonna watch my beloved ship dogs this weekend. Fortunately not
- 0:26Speaker 3: in the rain of the hurricane. It is going to
- 0:29Speaker 3: blow through prior prior to game time. But man, we suck.
- 0:34Speaker 3: What great games last week though, Uh, coach Prime, We're
- 0:38Speaker 3: gonna start right there. The wheels are off the bus.
- 0:45Speaker 3: They're shaking, shaking, I mean shaking. It is un good.
- 0:50Speaker 3: One of his kids broke his forearm on the tackle.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Uh sure der, Come on, man, you gotta be quiet. Bro.
- 0:57Speaker 3: You're not a cornerback. You're not Michael Irvin, you're not
- 1:01Speaker 3: a wide receiver. You got to shut up and you
- 1:03Speaker 3: got to play the part. If you want to play
- 1:04Speaker 3: NFL quarterback, you can't throw your offensive line under the bus,
- 1:08Speaker 3: and you certainly can't compare your team to another team.
- 1:12Speaker 3: It just doesn't it just doesn't work. So I man,
- 1:16Speaker 3: what a mess they are. So anyway, they were a
- 1:21Speaker 3: hot mess. How about my man Burt Bayla Monte.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Burt getting it done? Y'all don't know Bert was. We
- 1:28Speaker 1: were real close to putting Burt in the money dog
- 1:30Speaker 1: under parlay, and when and that came in, I was like,
- 1:34Speaker 1: son of a bitch, he was right, we should have
- 1:36Speaker 1: played him. And I'm cheering for Burt. You know, I
- 1:40Speaker 1: like him. I think the Big Ten's a perfect spot
- 1:42Speaker 1: for him. I think Illinois is a perfect spot for him.
- 1:45Speaker 1: But ya getting it done, and then I thought we
- 1:48Speaker 1: could cash the ticket. Man. All you know, Arkansas absolutely
- 1:52Speaker 1: is dominating Oklahoma State in Stillwater. And I'm not just
- 1:56Speaker 1: talking about putting points on the board. I'm talking about
- 1:59Speaker 1: from the game planning to the physicality to everything. I mean,
- 2:03Speaker 1: Oklahoma State is nowhere to be found. The only thing
- 2:06Speaker 1: they had going for was Mike Gundy's perm and somehow
- 2:10Speaker 1: they managed to choke that king away.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Now in the world, I'm telling you, I watched every
- 2:15Speaker 3: play of that game. I liked the Hogs and and
- 2:19Speaker 3: you know, I enjoy a lot of friends that went
- 2:21Speaker 3: to school there have gone to games up there.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Loved going up there.
- 2:26Speaker 3: That's the only team that could have figured out how
- 2:28Speaker 3: to lose that damn game. They won in every statistical
- 2:31Speaker 3: category except turnovers. I mean, it was off dominated those guys.
- 2:37Speaker 3: They kept finding ways to not score. I mean it
- 2:41Speaker 3: was that was I mean that game was wild. Uh
- 2:45Speaker 3: kudos to Clemson.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Yeah, just missed that.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Boy was I walk off on that.
- 2:53Speaker 3: I mean, holy smokes, I mean that was that was unbelievable.
- 2:59Speaker 3: But you know what it looked like, Mark, And this
- 3:01Speaker 3: is to me, it's just more confirmation that they're losing it,
- 3:06Speaker 3: that they've got to get that fired up and that
- 3:08Speaker 3: motivated to play that game. And I know they got drilled.
- 3:12Speaker 3: They came out like it was their super Bowl. They
- 3:15Speaker 3: had throat cutting on tackles. You were playing Appalachian State
- 3:20Speaker 3: at home, You played for the you want two Natties
- 3:25Speaker 3: in the last six or seven eight years? What in
- 3:28Speaker 3: the hell are you doing? It was like their super Bowl.
- 3:31Speaker 3: But I think it is. I think it is. They
- 3:32Speaker 3: have to play like that against those kinds of teams
- 3:35Speaker 3: are they're in trouble losing. I just didn't think that'd
- 3:37Speaker 3: be it. I mean I really didn't. I thought they'd
- 3:40Speaker 3: come out and to be a work Munon type game
- 3:42Speaker 3: and they'd win comfortably, but not you.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Know, not be up.
- 3:47Speaker 3: What was it fifty two bullet or sometimes sophomore watching,
- 3:50Speaker 3: I think it was thirty five to nothing, and I'm like,
- 3:53Speaker 3: this is over. I mean, they were just dominating. I mean,
- 3:57Speaker 3: but they did. They came out, came out haul. I
- 4:00Speaker 3: can I believe.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Believe that.
- 4:04Speaker 3: I let you tak me out of Boise on Oregon. Oh, man, Oregon,
- 4:10Speaker 3: let me tell you a team that's overrated right now.
- 4:12Speaker 2: I can't wait to see this game. I don't know
- 4:14Speaker 2: who they are.
- 4:16Speaker 3: I do know that I'm not a huge fan of
- 4:18Speaker 3: the Oregon State team, so that's the only reason I'm
- 4:21Speaker 3: staying away from that. Gonna be stunned if they don't
- 4:23Speaker 3: cover that. If Oregon State doesn't cover in that ball game, man,
- 4:28Speaker 3: be what Oregon?
- 4:30Speaker 2: That boy?
- 4:30Speaker 3: They kept trying to lose that game they Boise. He
- 4:33Speaker 3: was just answering at Boise defense is terrible, though they're
- 4:37Speaker 3: not good.
- 4:37Speaker 2: That's too interested.
- 4:39Speaker 3: But Ashton gentis maybe my Frisco, my Frisco lone Star Rangers.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Getting after it. He's definitely gonna win the September Heisman
- 4:49Speaker 1: for sure, and then I think once we get into
- 4:53Speaker 1: conference play across the board, people will kind of start
- 4:55Speaker 1: forgetting about the kid. But yeah, I mean he's tracking
- 4:58Speaker 1: from like a Ladandian Talins type season from twenty years ago.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Mark, we can't get away without talking about two games.
- 5:05Speaker 3: I'm gonna start with the lesser of the two games.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Kentucky.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Really, they had two hundred and fifty yards total offense
- 5:13Speaker 3: did South Carolina, and they were never not in control
- 5:18Speaker 3: of that game. I mean Kentucky looked lost. I mean,
- 5:23Speaker 3: they were lost offensively, it was I mean, it was bad.
- 5:27Speaker 3: And then.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Hey on, okay, all right.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Hang on, let me let me play with this seed
- 5:32Speaker 1: with you with Kentucky real quick. I kind of wondered
- 5:36Speaker 1: because I went back and looked at the box score
- 5:38Speaker 1: at both of those games pretty hard after last, because
- 5:42Speaker 1: I was like, how do we miss this bad? And
- 5:45Speaker 1: I'm just putting this out there. We're gonna know probably
- 5:48Speaker 1: this week if it just they roll over and play dead.
- 5:51Speaker 1: You know, Stoops was leaving and he was out the
- 5:54Speaker 1: door on his way to A and M. And then
- 5:56Speaker 1: and then he got a you know, he got media
- 5:59Speaker 1: out on that. When Neil the guy, the guayther RUMs,
- 6:01Speaker 1: Tech SAgs, Billy Lucci pretty much, you know, stopped that
- 6:05Speaker 1: thing going. I kind of wondering if if the roster
- 6:08Speaker 1: is not all on board with that. That's just my
- 6:10Speaker 1: personal opinion to watch.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Certain this week, and we gotta go Maction.
- 6:17Speaker 3: How about and look, we both talked about it on
- 6:20Speaker 3: the MAC preview that this was the best team that
- 6:22Speaker 3: and I that Northern Illinois was the best team in
- 6:25Speaker 3: the MAC that we felt like, But how about that?
- 6:28Speaker 2: And then one other Maction.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Play, how about Ohio baby getting it done, Getting it done, Baby,
- 6:36Speaker 3: I love it at home.
- 6:37Speaker 2: That was a faby. That's a fabulous game. Little Action
- 6:39Speaker 2: last week, loved it.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Had a pretty good week in the MAC actually, so
- 6:44Speaker 3: that was a lot of fun and out an IU
- 6:46Speaker 3: game was so great to watch. But let me tell
- 6:49Speaker 3: you something, I was going nuts the last forty five
- 6:53Speaker 3: seconds of the game. The rest tried to screw an IU.
- 6:57Speaker 3: They tried, they did everything they could, dude, I mean
- 7:01Speaker 3: that spot.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Was notre dame.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Absolutely one should never have gotten the only thing not
- 7:10Speaker 3: over the line where his toes, I mean literally his
- 7:13Speaker 3: ankles were laying on the first down line. His whole
- 7:16Speaker 3: body was past it and that official when he came
- 7:20Speaker 3: up tried to market a half yard behind where he
- 7:23Speaker 3: did it. I mean, fortunately the other guy was just
- 7:25Speaker 3: a little farther up. I'm telling you, you're never going
- 7:31Speaker 3: to convince me these guys ain't gameling. There are there
- 7:34Speaker 3: is too much going on. That was shade, I mean
- 7:40Speaker 3: pure shade. And there and and look on the overview
- 7:45Speaker 3: I can somewhat get because no, you couldn't see his knees,
- 7:49Speaker 3: but at the end of the day, he could have
- 7:51Speaker 3: fallen straight down and then fallen forward and he was
- 7:55Speaker 3: still past the first down market. I mean, he's nowhere
- 8:00Speaker 3: close to not getting the first time. That literally is
- 8:03Speaker 3: the shittiest spot I've seen in a decade. I mean
- 8:06Speaker 3: it was like the what what was the game?
- 8:08Speaker 2: Was?
- 8:08Speaker 3: That was that Stease Ferrier when the guy gets the
- 8:11Speaker 3: ball and he's marking, he moved and he smoves the
- 8:15Speaker 3: ball back.
- 8:16Speaker 2: It was.
- 8:17Speaker 3: It was that egregious of a spot. I mean it was,
- 8:20Speaker 3: I mean, it was absolutely terrible.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I was so pumped. And you know that I never
- 8:25Speaker 2: cheer against kickers, being a former kicker, I never cheered
- 8:28Speaker 2: against him to miss. I never.
- 8:30Speaker 3: I was so pumped that that and that Notre Dame
- 8:33Speaker 3: guy's kick got blocked, because that would have been a
- 8:36Speaker 3: total tragedy had they ended up losing that game after
- 8:39Speaker 3: that awful spot.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Well and Scott points that out because I personally can't
- 8:45Speaker 1: stand it's ironic that I've got three friends that were all,
- 8:51Speaker 1: you know, all kickers in school and uh and I
- 8:54Speaker 1: deal with them all the time. There's actually an article
- 8:56Speaker 1: in The Athletic today talking about how last weekend might
- 8:59Speaker 1: have been the highlight of the best weekend of college
- 9:01Speaker 1: kicking we've seen in a long time, which I thought
- 9:04Speaker 1: was funny. I sent that to a couple of people. Well,
- 9:06Speaker 1: ask him. I want to point out that a raider
- 9:08Speaker 1: roll for this week and here's why. Brian Vincent, right,
- 9:13Speaker 1: I don't know who he is, remember his name, head
- 9:16Speaker 1: football coach at you Year Versity of Louisiana Monroe, who
- 9:20Speaker 1: was at UA B with Bill Clark, and I thought
- 9:24Speaker 1: he would probably get the job to take over the
- 9:26Speaker 1: UAB program before they gave it to Trent Dildo Woodsheds.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Maybe for a gigantic ula. Monroe went, I mean I
- 9:36Speaker 1: kept looking like, is that right? I kept looking, man,
- 9:39Speaker 1: Trent Dildo has done wonderers taking over a UAB team
- 9:42Speaker 1: in just a couple of years.
- 9:44Speaker 2: So we got to go one. We got to go
- 9:45Speaker 2: one more before you move on. Texas State have called it.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I said it. We you and I talked about this.
- 9:51Speaker 2: I know it was a game we talked about. Breath.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I felt like that the torch had been passed. Let
- 9:55Speaker 3: me tell you, somebody's gonna get away a little football
- 9:58Speaker 3: coach and GJ. Kenney all season because he ain't gonna
- 10:01Speaker 3: be there in San Marcos. Baby, this is two years
- 10:04Speaker 3: in a row doing a great job down there. Torch
- 10:07Speaker 3: has passed. Uh fascinated to watch that game. Short week
- 10:12Speaker 3: for Arizona State. Not to cut us off, but that'll
- 10:15Speaker 3: take us into.
- 10:16Speaker 2: The next week. But kudos to Texas State and a
- 10:19Speaker 2: woodshed job on Texas San Antonio last.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Week, Jeff Trailer. I think Jeff Trayler, the luster may
- 10:27Speaker 1: be off of his off of his job he's doing
- 10:29Speaker 1: at UTSA, and it may just be right up the
- 10:31Speaker 1: road in San Marcus for GJ. Kinney. But yeah, with
- 10:34Speaker 1: two and five last week, Scotty, that moves us to
- 10:36Speaker 1: nine and eleven and week two, I'm okay with that.
- 10:39Speaker 1: We got two data points to jump off of that
- 10:42Speaker 1: being said, we got a full slate of weekday games.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Let's get rolling. First one, we got Arizona States traveling
- 10:49Speaker 1: out to San Marcus, Texas. This light opened up around
- 10:52Speaker 1: two now it's settled in about plus one ors. Texas State.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Arizona State on a short week. They played Mississippi State
- 10:59Speaker 1: just last week, late evening game on Saturday night. Now
- 11:02Speaker 1: they've got to be in San Marcus on Thursday. Typically
- 11:05Speaker 1: we would lead to a first half under in this one,
- 11:08Speaker 1: and I may still do it. If you haven't watched
- 11:10Speaker 1: these two teams play, they could not be further apart
- 11:13Speaker 1: from one another. Texas State likes to sling it. They're
- 11:16Speaker 1: also one of the fastest running tempo teams in the country.
- 11:19Speaker 1: They're I mean they're running on rpo, but they're trying
- 11:22Speaker 1: to explode downfield. They'll push it and they run tempo.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Arizona State is running one of the slowest. I think
- 11:29Speaker 1: they're going on thirty one seven thirty one seconds between snaps.
- 11:32Speaker 1: It's crazy and one of the slowest tempo games ever.
- 11:36Speaker 1: And I am not sure how good this team is.
- 11:39Speaker 1: They are definitely trying to hide the quarterback. They've got
- 11:43Speaker 1: a great running back in Scataboo and and that's pretty
- 11:46Speaker 1: much all they've got. Their quarterback can't throw the ball
- 11:49Speaker 1: across the Atlanta scrimmage far and I can see Levitt
- 11:51Speaker 1: I think's his name. I mean last week they wore
- 11:54Speaker 1: y'all out and I think they had forty three yards
- 11:56Speaker 1: passing or something like that.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Text Nobody was watching that game. Second half.
- 12:02Speaker 3: They were trying to work on throwing the ball, and
- 12:04Speaker 3: he's physically incapable of doing it.
- 12:07Speaker 2: That's that. That really is the that really is the truth.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Now It'scataboo study Gash State. He could run for four
- 12:12Speaker 3: hundred and fifty yards if they'd have given him the carries.
- 12:15Speaker 3: I mean, he was fantastic, But I'm gonna go Texas State.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Give me the Bobcats, the fighting GJ.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Kinnis plus one at home, short week, national TV getting
- 12:27Speaker 1: a chance to step up. This Texas State defense is good.
- 12:31Speaker 1: If you haven't watched him yet, I mean, they've got
- 12:33Speaker 1: some power five players that have moved down there, and
- 12:36Speaker 1: this Texas Stated is legit. I'm wrong with the Bobcats.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Plus one is my first play of the week.
- 12:42Speaker 3: This this numbers bouncing all over, so you're gonna have
- 12:45Speaker 3: to you're gonna have to work. It's pick them in
- 12:47Speaker 3: some books. I've even seen Texas State favored a half point.
- 12:53Speaker 3: I'm staring at a point right now for for them
- 12:57Speaker 3: getting it.
- 12:58Speaker 2: I agree with you.
- 12:58Speaker 3: I love Texas State here. What I think is better
- 13:02Speaker 3: for Arizona State. Their defense is playing a little more lively.
- 13:06Speaker 3: You know, State's not a great offense, but I'll tell
- 13:08Speaker 3: you where they're weak. They're weaker in the defensive backfield.
- 13:12Speaker 3: State got some big play, some gash plays on them.
- 13:15Speaker 3: I find it extremely difficult to believe that they're not
- 13:19Speaker 3: gonna They're not gonna get some gash plays for Texas State.
- 13:23Speaker 2: So I like them here.
- 13:24Speaker 3: I think short week, tough spot, still a rebuilding program.
- 13:30Speaker 3: I just don't think Arizona State's quarterback can sling it
- 13:33Speaker 3: enough to keep up. I think they're a better football
- 13:37Speaker 3: team everywhere but quarterback, and I think that's the difference.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Texas State plus one first game of the week, second
- 13:46Speaker 1: game we got the Big twelve will be Friday night.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Big Twelve's did a lot of weeknight playing this week,
- 13:51Speaker 1: got three games. Unlb's traveling to Kansas. I think this
- 13:55Speaker 1: game is getting played in the soccer stadium. I don't
- 13:57Speaker 1: think they're an arrowhead this week, and this one's about
- 14:00Speaker 1: seven to seven and a half in a lot of
- 14:02Speaker 1: places that you're seeing now, interesting dynamic that you've got
- 14:06Speaker 1: with these two teams. We've been on UNLV quite a bit.
- 14:08Speaker 1: If you haven't watched UNLV play man, I highly recommend
- 14:11Speaker 1: Friday night. If you dot anything going on, sit out
- 14:13Speaker 1: and do it. I love the go go offense that
- 14:15Speaker 1: they've got from here, a lot of speed. They're ready
- 14:18Speaker 1: to rock and roll. Kansas another darling that we've been
- 14:21Speaker 1: on all these years with Leopold in this spot, but
- 14:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna roll with U and LV. Kansas, to me,
- 14:26Speaker 1: looks a little bit different with that. Kola Nikki, the
- 14:28Speaker 1: offensive coordinator, he's moved on. He's at Penn State now.
- 14:31Speaker 1: But I'm gonna take UNOV. They fall into the category
- 14:34Speaker 1: of one of the things I look for every week,
- 14:35Speaker 1: which is an underdog team that's getting more than four points,
- 14:39Speaker 1: that can outrush the other team that they're playing, and
- 14:42Speaker 1: it rushes for at least two hundred yards a game,
- 14:44Speaker 1: and that's what you're getting from UNLV. So I look
- 14:47Speaker 1: for UNLV to come out, be physical, and I don't
- 14:51Speaker 1: think there's that much of a difference between these two rosters,
- 14:53Speaker 1: to be honest with you, And so I'm with UNLV.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Give me plus seven and a half. I bet it
- 14:58Speaker 1: a plus seven. I didn't get a good number.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yees seven and a half. I like UNOV. Here.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Look, I still like Kansas, but I don't think the
- 15:07Speaker 3: quarterback is I still don't know if he's fully healthy.
- 15:11Speaker 3: He just doesn't look quite as explosive as he's looked
- 15:14Speaker 3: in the in the past. Uh, that game the other
- 15:17Speaker 3: night was was kind of eye opening because he's been
- 15:20Speaker 3: able to make some huge plays running and throwing over
- 15:24Speaker 3: the and it just was not there. And now, look,
- 15:26Speaker 3: I think that Illinois defense is pretty good, So not
- 15:30Speaker 3: to overdo it, but I think uno V. I think
- 15:32Speaker 3: Odham's doing a good job, and I think they're doing
- 15:34Speaker 3: a good job on that defensive side of football as well.
- 15:37Speaker 3: So I like It's this is more about me liking
- 15:39Speaker 3: UNLV than disliking Kansas. Tough game, short week, unl V
- 15:46Speaker 3: going in not gonna be a huge on field advantage
- 15:49Speaker 3: because of the field.
- 15:49Speaker 2: All that soccer stadium is a pretty cool little setup.
- 15:52Speaker 3: It's basically in the parking lot when Nebraska Furniture Mart's
- 15:55Speaker 3: right across the street in Kansas City, so it's a
- 15:58Speaker 3: uh so it's a pretty cool venue. Have been to
- 16:00Speaker 3: a game in that stadium, so uh it's a pretty uh,
- 16:03Speaker 3: pretty pretty fun place to watch a game with that soccer.
- 16:06Speaker 3: I don't know what we're gonna get from Kansas from
- 16:09Speaker 3: a from a fan base perspective there. So I kind
- 16:12Speaker 3: of like you and over here, uh, going on the road,
- 16:15Speaker 3: keeping this ball game close, live dog.
- 16:20Speaker 1: I like it. I like it, Scotty. Next game, I
- 16:23Speaker 1: want to go to your cal Bears. Call him your
- 16:26Speaker 1: cal Bears that came in ount and offered last weekend.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Your cal Bears are playing San Diego State Standego State. Man.
- 16:35Speaker 1: It's been a program. You could almost count on the
- 16:37Speaker 1: Unders every single week and what they were gonna do,
- 16:41Speaker 1: and they were just gonna run, run, run. Brought in
- 16:44Speaker 1: Sean Lewis, who was from the back, was at Colorado
- 16:47Speaker 1: and now he's here. He's got a true freshman starting
- 16:49Speaker 1: at quarterback. We talked about this year in the preview
- 16:52Speaker 1: for the conference and how this team being he had fade.
- 16:54Speaker 1: When you're trying to start a true freshman go on
- 16:57Speaker 1: the spot and you can think what you want about Cal.
- 16:59Speaker 1: This is still a Power five teams who just went
- 17:02Speaker 1: on the road to beat Auburn. But do they come
- 17:04Speaker 1: in flat this week in the San Diego State able
- 17:07Speaker 1: to get the upset.
- 17:08Speaker 2: No, it doesn't matter.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Hell no, they're not going to get the upset. They're
- 17:11Speaker 3: not even gonna get the cover. I Cal looked pretty
- 17:14Speaker 3: damn good, and I took a couple of things here.
- 17:17Speaker 3: There are two quarterbacks on the raw trick, Cal better
- 17:21Speaker 3: than anybody Auburn's got.
- 17:22Speaker 2: How they hell did they not get a quarterback? Thorn
- 17:25Speaker 2: had four.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Interceptions when they have six turnovers. I mean, every time
- 17:30Speaker 3: they started putting something together, Thorns made a bonehead pick.
- 17:35Speaker 3: I mean, and some of them, I mean were just awful.
- 17:39Speaker 3: I mean they were every bad middle school throws. I
- 17:43Speaker 3: mean a couple of them were just poor decisions.
- 17:46Speaker 1: So I.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Really unimpressed with how Auburn looked, extremely impressed with how
- 17:54Speaker 3: Cal man They took the fight to them, and.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Cal was the more physical football team.
- 18:00Speaker 3: I mean they were coming up that first drive, Auburn
- 18:04Speaker 3: was kind of laying some wood, and man, those cow
- 18:06Speaker 3: dudes were firing right back.
- 18:08Speaker 2: I was very impressed.
- 18:10Speaker 3: I mean because I was watching that game a little
- 18:13Speaker 3: more intently than probably most others. Like Cal here, think
- 18:17Speaker 3: they're gonna pound them too much. They got too much
- 18:18Speaker 3: on defense for San Diego State to score. Cal is
- 18:23Speaker 3: very methodical with the football. They do some really good
- 18:26Speaker 3: things with motion. I really liked what they were doing
- 18:30Speaker 3: with some tight end, just some high low throw combinations
- 18:33Speaker 3: on out routes, mid route, tight end, short route, running back,
- 18:37Speaker 3: all flood to the same side of the field. Really
- 18:40Speaker 3: liked some of the things they were doing against that
- 18:42Speaker 3: aggressive Auburn defense had them on their heels the bulk
- 18:46Speaker 3: of the football game. They weren't explosive, but man, they
- 18:50Speaker 3: were methodical. Auburn just couldn't end drives for Cal, not
- 18:55Speaker 3: nearly enough, especially after turnovers.
- 18:57Speaker 2: So I like Cal here. I think they're gonna pound issue.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Yeah, quarterback. I love Cal's quarterback, Berneto Minosy. That's awesome.
- 19:08Speaker 2: They got the cat from Texas, from North Texas sitting
- 19:10Speaker 2: on the bench.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Yeah, and so no, they've been a good job here
- 19:14Speaker 1: and so I agree with you on this Cal game.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Other thing, too, is is they're really struggling on offensive
- 19:19Speaker 1: line play for the San Diego State team. They lost
- 19:23Speaker 1: their left tackle first game of the year or when
- 19:26Speaker 1: they were playing Texas Commerce, and the left side of
- 19:30Speaker 1: the line's going to mess. And they were thin already
- 19:32Speaker 1: on the depth chart. And so I'm not sure what
- 19:35Speaker 1: you're gonna get, but I haven't liked what you've gotten
- 19:38Speaker 1: from offensive line play from this cal team. And again
- 19:41Speaker 1: they're trying to go and go fast. And if you
- 19:44Speaker 1: can't get your French right, bro that cohesion. People don't
- 19:47Speaker 1: understand how important it is have an offensive line unit.
- 19:50Speaker 1: But you start running into cluster injuries where they're starting
- 19:53Speaker 1: to have and you can have some problems, especially when
- 19:55Speaker 1: you have a true freshman playing quarterback. So I'm with you.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Let's go Caw Bears, Wilcox get it done. Next one, Scotty.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Let's stay on the Pacific Northwest. We've got oddly this weekend.
- 20:06Speaker 1: We've got the Apple Cup and we've got the Governor's Cup,
- 20:09Speaker 1: which under the Civil War, but I heard they're changing
- 20:12Speaker 1: the name of that to the Platypus Cup. I don't
- 20:15Speaker 1: even know what that means for the Oregon organ stake
- 20:17Speaker 1: came anyway, just go look it up. I'm just telling
- 20:22Speaker 1: the news. Anyway you can make things up. Did you
- 20:25Speaker 1: watch anything? Haven't you watched anything? It doesn't matter who
- 20:30Speaker 1: you vote for. Just make things up. It's better that
- 20:33Speaker 1: way anyway. Washington Washington State, this is a great rivalry game.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I'm kind of glad it's this weekend too, because there's
- 20:40Speaker 1: not a whole lot of Marquee football on and so
- 20:42Speaker 1: I think some folks are actually going to get a
- 20:44Speaker 1: chance to dial in and see this game. If you
- 20:46Speaker 1: haven't seen a game at Washington. First of all, it
- 20:49Speaker 1: is spectacular the views you've got from where that stadium sits.
- 20:53Speaker 1: And typically these games have been highly competitive. I mean,
- 20:56Speaker 1: I know it's a big brother, little brother scenario there,
- 20:59Speaker 1: but Washington State, man, they come with a chip on
- 21:01Speaker 1: their shoulder, a lot more local talent that you get
- 21:04Speaker 1: from that Washington State team than you typically get on
- 21:06Speaker 1: a UB team. But I'm gonna go with jud Fish here.
- 21:09Speaker 1: I think he's kind of been playing possum getting his
- 21:12Speaker 1: team ready. He knows what's ahead of him, he knows
- 21:14Speaker 1: where he's going with the Big Ten, and he's got
- 21:16Speaker 1: a big schedule there. And I watched Washington State beat
- 21:20Speaker 1: up on Texas Tech pretty bad. But Texas defense is
- 21:22Speaker 1: one of the worst in the country. And by the
- 21:24Speaker 1: end of that game, Tech had seven guys just on
- 21:27Speaker 1: the defensive side of the ball that they had already
- 21:29Speaker 1: come out of the game, and Washington State was able
- 21:31Speaker 1: to capitalize on that in the second half. I don't
- 21:34Speaker 1: think they're gonna be able to do it this time.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with Washington. I took it at minus four,
- 21:38Speaker 1: it's up to minus five. I wouldn't play it past that.
- 21:41Speaker 1: I just think the physicality is roster. And I also,
- 21:45Speaker 1: I think you're going to see some stuff from Washington
- 21:47Speaker 1: that we haven't seen yet. I'm gonna ruin Washington minus
- 21:49Speaker 1: five in this week.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Well, I think we both agree. Fish is a really
- 21:52Speaker 3: good football coach. You've also got a quarterback who's played
- 21:55Speaker 3: a a lot of football. I mean a lot of football.
- 21:59Speaker 3: He's not going to get anything thrown at him that
- 22:01Speaker 3: he hadn't seen. I think he is still in a
- 22:04Speaker 3: friendly enough offense to capitalize on what he's capable of
- 22:08Speaker 3: doing so. And look, I'm cheering for Will Rogers. I
- 22:12Speaker 3: hope that guy has a great ending of his career.
- 22:16Speaker 3: He certainly earned a fresh start. Mississippi State fans did
- 22:20Speaker 3: not appreciate how good of a job he did, especially
- 22:24Speaker 3: last year, in just making us relevant. I think they
- 22:28Speaker 3: are fast finding out there's no damn talent on that roster.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Even after Levy went and signed a bunch of people,
- 22:35Speaker 3: he still didn't have enough. He needed to sign eighty
- 22:37Speaker 3: five movements and they just didn't have enough nil money
- 22:41Speaker 3: to do it. So think Rogers is a big key
- 22:43Speaker 3: in this ballgame. I think he holds a lot of
- 22:46Speaker 3: those guys together, again, with a lot of players, a
- 22:50Speaker 3: lot of experience. That's remember that's a guy that played
- 22:53Speaker 3: under a couple of different coaches, had a lot of
- 22:55Speaker 3: turmoil at Misissippi State. So I think the stability of Fish,
- 22:59Speaker 3: even though he's a new football coach, but that's a
- 23:01Speaker 3: guy who's built a program, he understands turning it around
- 23:04Speaker 3: and really having to turn over a roster, I think
- 23:08Speaker 3: Fish is the difference.
- 23:09Speaker 2: And I agree with you.
- 23:09Speaker 3: I like Washington here still. I like this Washington State team.
- 23:13Speaker 3: This is not a shot on them. I just think
- 23:15Speaker 3: Washington's just about a touchdown.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Better than they are.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, that's wee. We're gonna roll Washington minus
- 23:22Speaker 1: five next one. Scottie. Let's stay down South, South Florida
- 23:26Speaker 1: will be traveling to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to play your Mustard
- 23:30Speaker 1: Buzzards baby line. And this one's now floating around eleven
- 23:33Speaker 1: and a half over under for this one's fifty seven
- 23:36Speaker 1: and a half. South Florida one and one. They lost
- 23:39Speaker 1: Alabama last week, but they're two and zero against the number.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Southern miss one on one, but they're one on one
- 23:43Speaker 1: against the number. Both of these teams are zero and
- 23:46Speaker 1: two to the under. In case you're wondering, how are
- 23:48Speaker 1: we going to roll this one? I know you love
- 23:50Speaker 1: talking to some Mustard buzzards.
- 23:52Speaker 2: You know what the buzzards are bad? I mean, not
- 23:55Speaker 2: to hell.
- 23:55Speaker 3: We just talked about how bad Kentucky is and literally
- 23:59Speaker 3: they got rain shortened blowout. I mean this South Florida team.
- 24:05Speaker 3: I like the job that coaching staff is doing. I
- 24:08Speaker 3: loved everything they said. They showed some of that during
- 24:11Speaker 3: that Bama game and talking about their motivation and what
- 24:15Speaker 3: they're saying to them pregame, what they're saying, you know, midgame.
- 24:19Speaker 3: They I just like the direction this program's heading. That's
- 24:23Speaker 3: the bottom line, and I think he's got it on
- 24:26Speaker 3: the tracks. I think they're more talented. I think they're
- 24:28Speaker 3: more physical. I think they're going to go up and
- 24:31Speaker 3: they're gonna pound what is not a very good football
- 24:33Speaker 3: team in Southern miss even though it is on the road,
- 24:37Speaker 3: but no offense. That ain't much more than a glorified
- 24:41Speaker 3: high school stadium. It is not extremely intimidating, especially when
- 24:44Speaker 3: they are not good. And they are not good, I
- 24:47Speaker 3: think South Florida pounds it.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Next one. Let's go to the game I'll be at
- 24:52Speaker 1: on Saturday, eleven o'clock in the morning. Love it Texas.
- 24:56Speaker 1: North Texas will travel into there and play this team.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Let me get numbers for you. Here lines at ten,
- 25:02Speaker 1: seeing it float around nine and a half I've seen
- 25:05Speaker 1: I haven't seen it eleven yet, but I have seen
- 25:07Speaker 1: a nine to nine and a half. These are fun
- 25:10Speaker 1: teams to watch. I'm looking forward to watching this game.
- 25:13Speaker 1: It's gonna be pretty exciting. Eric Morris is a wide
- 25:15Speaker 1: receiver that used to play for Mike Leach back at
- 25:18Speaker 1: Texas Tech, got into coachings, floated around, There's been underneath
- 25:22Speaker 1: that system and landed the North Texas coaching job. This
- 25:26Speaker 1: is year two for him in this spot, and he's
- 25:29Speaker 1: done a good job with this North Texas team. And
- 25:31Speaker 1: if you haven't watched him yet, they go and they
- 25:34Speaker 1: go fast. You're gonna be watching two of the fastest
- 25:36Speaker 1: offenses in the country when it comes to snapcount time.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Texas Tech, on the other hand, has been a disaster.
- 25:42Speaker 1: They've got Baron Morton, who's the they thought it was
- 25:45Speaker 1: going to be the quarterback. He's the high trated quarterback
- 25:48Speaker 1: the program's ever recruited, and he just hasn't been able
- 25:50Speaker 1: to get his timing down. They're having offensive line issues,
- 25:53Speaker 1: but on the defense, they're butt naked back there. Brother,
- 25:55Speaker 1: they haven't been able to stop anything. They went into
- 25:58Speaker 1: overtime with Aveline Christian in Week one at home, and
- 26:01Speaker 1: they go on the road to play at Washington State,
- 26:04Speaker 1: team that I would tell you is probably not gonna
- 26:06Speaker 1: finish in the top fifty when the season's over, and
- 26:09Speaker 1: they got drilled in that one. North Texas is gonna
- 26:12Speaker 1: come in here and I think put up a shit
- 26:14Speaker 1: ton of points. You're getting ten in a shootout. Give
- 26:18Speaker 1: me the points all day long. We're not expecting too
- 26:21Speaker 1: much wind in this one. Sudby somewhere around eight to
- 26:23Speaker 1: ten miles an hour. That's a big thing. When you
- 26:25Speaker 1: start looking at the total total in this one started
- 26:27Speaker 1: at sixty six. It's burned all the way up to
- 26:30Speaker 1: sixty eight and a half sixty nine in most books.
- 26:32Speaker 1: But I like North Texas. I think that you're gonna
- 26:35Speaker 1: get a good effort out of these guys. I think
- 26:37Speaker 1: their head coach is looking at this as an audition
- 26:39Speaker 1: that he might get a chance to come back and
- 26:41Speaker 1: coaches all the water because Jerry Maguire, Seaton Lobviock's gonna
- 26:45Speaker 1: start getting hot here pretty quick. Because this tech team
- 26:47Speaker 1: it doesn't look like it's even ready to play football
- 26:50Speaker 1: in my eyes. And now they've got seven they've got
- 26:52Speaker 1: seven injuries in they're too deep coming into this game,
- 26:55Speaker 1: but they don't think they're gonna play, and they have
- 26:57Speaker 1: an announced shift. Taze Brooks the running backs coming in
- 26:59Speaker 1: with this shit. He didn't play last week. And so
- 27:02Speaker 1: that's one thing with injury reports in college. I'd like
- 27:05Speaker 1: to say that the fact that that South Alabama game
- 27:08Speaker 1: didn't hit last week was bullshit. That they didn't let
- 27:11Speaker 1: us know that Gee Lopez wasn't playing in the game.
- 27:14Speaker 1: But the quarterback's not playing in the game, you've got
- 27:16Speaker 1: to announce it before you show up on the field,
- 27:18Speaker 1: but anyway, nor here, nor there. But Todd Brooks for
- 27:21Speaker 1: Texas Tech. He's not playing. I don't know if he's
- 27:23Speaker 1: going to play in this came or not. He may
- 27:25Speaker 1: still be banged up. Give me North Texas plus nine
- 27:27Speaker 1: and a half. He's searching for a chen. You can
- 27:29Speaker 1: find one.
- 27:30Speaker 2: So do you want to know why?
- 27:31Speaker 3: It's sixty eight and a half And we've been talking
- 27:33Speaker 3: about how much slower games are going, how much lower
- 27:35Speaker 3: points are going. Because Baron Morton is fourth in the
- 27:40Speaker 3: country in passing yards seven hundred and one through two games.
- 27:45Speaker 3: But you know who's number two, old Chandler Morris at
- 27:49Speaker 3: North Texas. They're going to light it up.
- 27:52Speaker 2: I agree with you.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Too many points in a shootout, I think kadidly. I
- 27:56Speaker 3: think North Texas a live dog. Tech looked like a
- 27:59Speaker 3: mess last week. The Avalane Christian game, honestly is not
- 28:02Speaker 3: because Aveline Christians pretty good program again and at one
- 28:06Speaker 3: double a level. They put some guys in the NFL.
- 28:08Speaker 3: There's always a little bit of talent out there not
- 28:11Speaker 3: being ready to play.
- 28:12Speaker 2: You can chalk that up. You can look the other
- 28:14Speaker 2: way man. You go on the road and.
- 28:16Speaker 3: Another power five, power four whatever, because basically they still
- 28:20Speaker 3: are even though the pack the Pac Coup isn't really
- 28:23Speaker 3: part of it anymore.
- 28:24Speaker 2: They got the hell beat out of them. I mean, yeah, drilled.
- 28:29Speaker 3: And we had a bunch of people at my house
- 28:32Speaker 3: on Saturday night. We're excited to watch tech in Mississippi
- 28:35Speaker 3: State and you talk about two snoozers newsfest. The game
- 28:41Speaker 3: watching went off the rails pretty fast. So it was
- 28:45Speaker 3: two bad games. The bottom line is I think North
- 28:47Speaker 3: Texas a live dog here too, but I love them
- 28:50Speaker 3: with the nine and a half.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Give me that, Scottie. Let's go to the Magdiu State.
- 28:55Speaker 1: But they're gonna be on the road. Baby, you're old
- 28:57Speaker 1: Miss Rebels, Like you're gonna be your old Miss Rebels.
- 29:01Speaker 1: This season, your old Miss Rebels have looked good. They
- 29:04Speaker 1: beat Ferman into oblivion. They had another big win last weekend.
- 29:08Speaker 1: I know, these teams they've been playing haven't been necessarily
- 29:11Speaker 1: SEC caliber squads, but they've looked every bit the part, defense, offense,
- 29:18Speaker 1: special teams. They look buttoned up. Uh, there's not so
- 29:22Speaker 1: much shit talking out there. This team looks like it's
- 29:24Speaker 1: built to take care of business and roll from there.
- 29:27Speaker 1: They're laying a big number and a team that I
- 29:30Speaker 1: think is awful in wake Forest. They're laying twenty two
- 29:33Speaker 1: and a half line at halftime as thirteen. Do you
- 29:37Speaker 1: have the nut sack to lay it with Lane Kiffin
- 29:39Speaker 1: in this one? Hell?
- 29:40Speaker 3: Yes, I think Old that's gonna kill them, Oh, MISTI logit.
- 29:44Speaker 3: I mean they're gonna have to ask some injuries to
- 29:46Speaker 3: not be one of the best twelve teams in the
- 29:49Speaker 3: country by the end of that schedule, because at the
- 29:51Speaker 3: end of the day, they don't play Mississippi State schedule.
- 29:54Speaker 3: They don't play on the road against four top ten teams,
- 29:58Speaker 3: you know, And that's what MISSISISPPI State is. I mean
- 30:00Speaker 3: they're playing against four teams that are currently ranked in
- 30:02Speaker 3: the top seven. That's their four sec road games.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Uh.
- 30:07Speaker 3: And then they have another top another top ranked team
- 30:09Speaker 3: in Missouri at home.
- 30:11Speaker 2: That's brutal. I mean, that's just that stuff. Old miss
- 30:14Speaker 2: doesn't get that. They go two.
- 30:16Speaker 3: LSU's their hardest road game and every better football team
- 30:19Speaker 3: than LSU. Now that's rivalry. Can they lose that game
- 30:21Speaker 3: one hundred percent? But they get Georgia at home, they
- 30:24Speaker 3: get an Oklahoma at home. That's their next tough is
- 30:26Speaker 3: two toughest games. So I like this Rebel squad, I
- 30:30Speaker 3: really do. I think they're a good football team. They
- 30:32Speaker 3: got way too much. You've got a couple of great
- 30:35Speaker 3: stats on Wake Forest and Old miss covering. I think
- 30:38Speaker 3: the Rebels are six one and one is double digit
- 30:41Speaker 3: road favorites, uh and since twenty one and and that
- 30:47Speaker 3: push is at Mississippi State, So that's the that is
- 30:51Speaker 3: the the and again that's rivalry. Not hard to see
- 30:54Speaker 3: that game, you know, being a little tighter than people thought,
- 30:57Speaker 3: but the but the Rebels have looked on the road.
- 31:00Speaker 2: I like this both ways.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I like thirteen in the first half, and I like
- 31:04Speaker 3: the minus twenty three Kiff and covering. Dude, if he
- 31:07Speaker 3: gets a chance to pay his fan base, God love him.
- 31:11Speaker 3: He jumps on it and he's gonna get a chance
- 31:13Speaker 3: to pay him. It's gonna be his decision whether he
- 31:15Speaker 3: wants to cover, and I think he's gonna do it.
- 31:17Speaker 3: I think what's really important about this Rebel team that
- 31:19Speaker 3: people are missing Perish getting getting healthy early. I don't
- 31:23Speaker 3: think they really expect him to be full board till
- 31:25Speaker 3: October Man. He looks good, he's explosive, he's quick getting
- 31:29Speaker 3: through those holes Man. He looks good. So I like
- 31:33Speaker 3: the rebels here a lot. Wake Forest just does not
- 31:36Speaker 3: have the horsepower. Look, they went on the road to
- 31:38Speaker 3: Georgia Tech a couple of years and just went full
- 31:40Speaker 3: gas can on them. I think they want forty two
- 31:42Speaker 3: to bullet or forty five to bullet. I mean, it's
- 31:45Speaker 3: beat the dog out of them. I think you're not
- 31:47Speaker 3: gonna be far from that this Saturday.
- 31:52Speaker 1: I like it. Those are the rebels, folks, those are
- 31:54Speaker 1: nine players. We'll put those in the notes real quick
- 31:57Speaker 1: before we jumped into the money dog underlying Parla gotten.
- 32:01Speaker 1: I both have one little teaser for you there couple
- 32:03Speaker 1: rapid fire game, Let's go Diego to Pavia. I'm gonna
- 32:07Speaker 1: buy to that minus ten. As they played Georgia State,
- 32:10Speaker 1: I think this Georgia State team is not very good.
- 32:12Speaker 1: I cannot remember the last time I would have made
- 32:15Speaker 1: a bet laying points with Bandy. It had to have
- 32:18Speaker 1: been when James Franklin was there, but I could not
- 32:20Speaker 1: tell if that was the case. I also don't dislike
- 32:23Speaker 1: Tulsa in that game against Oklahoma State. This Tulsa team
- 32:26Speaker 1: is much better than I expected. Oklahoma State moves on
- 32:30Speaker 1: into Conference play next week. They got you thaw in
- 32:33Speaker 1: deck and that's a big game for them. I think
- 32:35Speaker 1: it's gonna determine probably who has a chance to play
- 32:37Speaker 1: for the one seed in the Big twelve tournament. And
- 32:39Speaker 1: so I like both of those. And then the line
- 32:42Speaker 1: to me that stinks to high heaven that if you're
- 32:44Speaker 1: gonna bet it, you kind of have to take LSU
- 32:46Speaker 1: is LSU minus seven. LSU hasn't looked great. They looked
- 32:50Speaker 1: okay the first game last week against Nichols. They couldn't
- 32:53Speaker 1: stop anything. They played pretty flat. And then for this
- 32:56Speaker 1: game to be seven on the road, lion stink because
- 33:00Speaker 1: South Carolina maybe, you know, after last week's effort, I
- 33:05Speaker 1: would expected a smaller number there, but they're laying seven.
- 33:08Speaker 1: I'm kind of surprised they're not taking more money they've got,
- 33:10Speaker 1: But I would say you got to lay seven if
- 33:12Speaker 1: you're going to bet that game. But I'm not playing it.
- 33:14Speaker 3: But it's just a curious game to be It is
- 33:16Speaker 3: a curious game, and I think nobody can figure out
- 33:19Speaker 3: South Carolina. I think that really is the when you
- 33:22Speaker 3: look at that week one performance and you look at
- 33:24Speaker 3: Kentucky last week, but the statistics were bad at Kentucky.
- 33:28Speaker 3: I mean, I don't think anybody knows what to expect,
- 33:31Speaker 3: and LS you just found a way to lose a
- 33:34Speaker 3: ball game where I felt like they were the more
- 33:36Speaker 3: talented team. So it's I think that is a fascinating game.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Another game to me that I just you talk about
- 33:45Speaker 3: having to win Sunbelt. Billy needs a w I mean bad,
- 33:53Speaker 3: and he needs it really really bad. But Mike Elko
- 33:57Speaker 3: needs one too, because now that note the Dame loss
- 34:01Speaker 3: doesn't look nearly as flashy, and gold Helm and Saint
- 34:04Speaker 3: Shining nearly is bright right now. And so I think
- 34:07Speaker 3: that is an interesting ball game for both of those guys.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Elk goes down there and starts so and two loses
- 34:14Speaker 3: two games as a favorite, and Buddy, the Heat's gonna
- 34:19Speaker 3: be on in College Station two. So that is the
- 34:23Speaker 3: really fascinating game and games will for me. So I
- 34:27Speaker 3: think that is I think that's a I think that's
- 34:30Speaker 3: a big number. So that's gonna be It's a good weekend.
- 34:33Speaker 3: Not tremendous games. Alabama Wisconsin. Man, I've just been so
- 34:37Speaker 3: unimpressed with Alabama. They were so unimpressive last week. But
- 34:43Speaker 3: they also had a big game on deck a big
- 34:45Speaker 3: road game coming on deck, and they generally bounce back
- 34:47Speaker 3: and answer the game.
- 34:49Speaker 2: What really feels like that's an easy cover? Easy cover? Yeah?
- 34:56Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's that feels like an easy cover
- 35:00Speaker 3: because Wisconsin just doesn't look very good either. So those
- 35:03Speaker 3: are there's some interesting games out there that the lines
- 35:06Speaker 3: are just you just scratch your head.
- 35:09Speaker 2: What am I? You know? What am I? What am
- 35:11Speaker 2: I missing?
- 35:11Speaker 3: Because I will tell you Madison is one of the
- 35:13Speaker 3: toughest places to play in college football. That is one
- 35:16Speaker 3: of the best atmospheres I've ever experienced. And I've been
- 35:19Speaker 3: in every every SEC stadium except.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Gamesville.
- 35:25Speaker 3: So that'll be that is that that that's a tough
- 35:29Speaker 3: place to play. So it's gonna be fun. I mean,
- 35:31Speaker 3: it'll be a live atmosphere Forbama. So that's gonna be interesting.
- 35:35Speaker 3: So on two, the underdog Farlay.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Baby, Scottie, what do you got this week?
- 35:42Speaker 3: Well, I'm gonna start off with Mike Norville. Brother, you
- 35:48Speaker 3: about to be oh and three. It's not gonna be
- 35:50Speaker 3: good for you. You're gonna lose to your old assistant.
- 35:54Speaker 3: It's gonna be a bad, bad day. I just I
- 35:57Speaker 3: think this Memphis team has got a little too much
- 36:00Speaker 3: firepower to not win this game against the team that
- 36:04Speaker 3: is struggling to get the ball down the field, struggling
- 36:07Speaker 3: with confidence.
- 36:08Speaker 2: But I'm going to tell you something. The FSU's got
- 36:11Speaker 2: to play this like their super Bowl.
- 36:13Speaker 3: But it's Memphis. It's Memphis, and this is an entirely
- 36:19Speaker 3: turned over roster. He can't go win one for the Gipper.
- 36:23Speaker 3: This is my old crew.
- 36:24Speaker 2: This means a ton to me.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Does he have the relationship to go that way to
- 36:29Speaker 3: get him to play well because they've got to play
- 36:32Speaker 3: emotional in this football.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Game to win it. This this team is struggling, and
- 36:38Speaker 2: I just think Memphis isn't.
- 36:39Speaker 3: I think they Look there's a lot of people that
- 36:42Speaker 3: feel like this is as good as anybody's got a
- 36:45Speaker 3: legit chance to be the qualifier from the from the
- 36:48Speaker 3: non power four for the playoff. They take a gigantic
- 36:52Speaker 3: step on Saturday to getting there. If they go on
- 36:54Speaker 3: the road in the old land and go get it done.
- 36:57Speaker 3: So I like them, and look prime the wheels are
- 37:00Speaker 3: off the bus. Give me Colorado State. Norville almost won
- 37:04Speaker 3: this game last year. They're at home. They get a
- 37:06Speaker 3: shot at them again. I think it's gonna be every
- 37:09Speaker 3: bit as chippy as it was last time.
- 37:11Speaker 2: I just don't think Colorado is any good and you.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Start bust tiring your teams, give me Memphis, give me Colorado,
- 37:19Speaker 3: and baby, when you're a six point and a seven
- 37:22Speaker 3: point dog, you're gonna like those odds. Baby.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Oh that's the funny thing is I've already bet the
- 37:32Speaker 1: Colorado game. I haven't bet the Memphis game yet, but yeah,
- 37:35Speaker 1: I've already won the Coloriado State game. I laid the point,
- 37:38Speaker 1: I got the points in the money line.
- 37:41Speaker 3: If you don't love Memphis, look North Texas, North Texas.
- 37:45Speaker 3: I think you can slide into I think I think.
- 37:49Speaker 3: I think they're a lot. I think they legit are
- 37:51Speaker 3: a live dog, and if you won't want a little
- 37:53Speaker 3: more conservative, you could slide in Texas State. Now, Memphis
- 37:56Speaker 3: is definitely the bigger of the gamble of those two games.
- 37:59Speaker 3: I think Colorado's State's gonna win, and I think they
- 38:02Speaker 3: may win by comfortable margin. When I say comfortable, I
- 38:06Speaker 3: mean seven to ten points.
- 38:09Speaker 1: I'm going to North Texas at plus two sixty on
- 38:11Speaker 1: the money line, and then I'm gonna go he's starting
- 38:14Speaker 1: a freshman quarterback, or he's gonna put tune him in
- 38:17Speaker 1: the kid that we've had to play last year, DJ Lagway,
- 38:21Speaker 1: give me Sunbelt Billy at plus one thirty five to
- 38:24Speaker 1: beat the Agnes on their first trip ever to the Swamp.
- 38:29Speaker 1: A and M has not looked good to me. Conner
- 38:31Speaker 1: Wegman has not performed. I still haven't seen him step
- 38:34Speaker 1: up to it. Lagway. Last week a bid to get
- 38:37Speaker 1: Samford had four hundred and fifty eight yards passing or
- 38:40Speaker 1: something like that. He's a big kid. I don't think
- 38:44Speaker 1: the game's too big for him. Give me Sunbelt Billy
- 38:47Speaker 1: to pull the home upset. I'm getting the home dog
- 38:50Speaker 1: and then I got North Texas on the road maybe,
- 38:52Speaker 1: so yeah, that'll pay out. I have another numbers on
- 38:54Speaker 1: probably like six or seven to one, so pizza money.
- 38:57Speaker 1: But let's have some fun with it, Scottie. Like I said,
- 39:00Speaker 1: the closer I get to Saturday, the more excited I
- 39:03Speaker 1: get to watch these games. And there are some really
- 39:06Speaker 1: bad games that I'm excited to watch this weekend. Next
- 39:09Speaker 1: week we pretty much get into Conference play. Pretty excited
- 39:12Speaker 1: about that. So folks, give us some reviews, give us
- 39:15Speaker 1: some love, Hit us up on Twitter. Love to hear
- 39:17Speaker 1: from everybody. If you need anything, we'll be back at
