- 2:39I mean, mister templar. Yes, let me in quickly, all right.
- 2:49My name is Claire Gordon. I can recommend that chair. I don't
- 2:52have times to temper. I want to confess, confess murder. Maybe i'd
- 2:55better take the chair. You're quite serious, of course, I am one
- 3:00confessed to murder. Millie as a joke might depend on their sense of humor.
- 3:04However, whom did you murder my husband? I see you don't believe
- 3:08me. I have no reason to believe or disbelieve, but I kill him?
- 3:12All right? You ought to do something about it, missus Gordon.
- 3:15I can think of many reasons why a woman might want to kill her husband.
- 3:19In some instances she actually does. But I can think of no reason
- 3:23why she should come to me and tell me about Well, I had to
- 3:25confess to somebody. You could have chosen the police. Oh they're so vulgar.
- 3:29Murder is not a monopoly of the upper classes. Nor is it in
- 3:32itself and especially refined that kid. You don't understand. Before I married Jim,
- 3:37I was clear welock of the something or other wecks, no doubt.
- 3:39Still, I absolutely refuse to go to some poky, dirty little police station.
- 3:45Some of them are quite large, and I understand clean from time to
- 3:47time tell some grubby little man all about my personal affairs. Murder, according
- 3:53to the statutes, is a public affair. I think you're nasty only trying
- 3:57to be reasonable. After all, was reasonable when beautiful women were concerned.
- 4:04Oh that's true, only on Shrove Tuesday. I despise you to wait.
- 4:10Maybe today is no, it's Sunday. Hey, she could be coming back
- 4:15to make an appointment for Shrove Tuesday. No, you're a Simon templar.
- 4:21I'm afraid I am. You seem to have jack. Why was my wife
- 4:24here? Your what wife? And don't try telling me you didn't know she
- 4:27was married? You. I think you'd better tell me about myself inside now
- 4:33then you are James Gordon, and my wife was just here? How do
- 4:38you know I saw her leave? Are you going to try denying it?
- 4:42Not? If you saw just leave? Well that's good. Now, if
- 4:46you don't mind, I'll take my coat off. You're worn, I'm about
- 4:48to beat your brains up, you know. Watch your language? And why
- 4:54do you think your wife was here? Pretty obvious, isn't it. I
- 4:58don't know, after all, I never met your wife before you. Furthermore,
- 5:02mister Gordon, you're a dad? Are you being whimsical? I'm only
- 5:06trying not to make a liar out of your wife. She told you she
- 5:10was a widow more or less. Actually, she came here to confess.
- 5:14Are you trying to pull my leg? I've always thought that a highly overrated
- 5:17indoor sport, except, of course, in the right company. She came
- 5:20here to confess to what to murdering? You? What? Apparently her confession
- 5:27was premature, if that is you really are James Gordon? Well thanks for
- 5:31the premature and of course I'm James Gordon. Who else would I be?
- 5:35Shall I guess? No? No, you can take a look at my
- 5:40wallet, thank you, m driver's license, blue shield, medical plan card
- 5:47dated hardly enough, only a week ago. What's odd about that? Apparently
- 5:53you don't expect to die? You are James Gordon? Well? Thank you?
- 5:59Now would you like to tell me why my wife was here. She
- 6:01came to confess to your murder. You know, mister Templar, I think
- 6:06I'm beginning to believe you. Fine, keep working at it. Claire is
- 6:10eccentric. If you say she told you she'd murder me, well she must
- 6:13have told you she did. But why I'm not dead? Therefore she didn't
- 6:17murder you? Then why did she make such an idiotic confession? Wish for
- 6:21thinking? Perhaps? No, just some more. Perhaps it was only anticipation
- 6:27of excuse me, Hello, mister Templar. Louie, Louie. A half
- 6:34an hour ago you called for a cab, A half an hour ago.
- 6:38I arrived half an hour ago. I was still warm. I am now
- 6:41under studying an icy Oh, Louis, I'm sorry, come upstairs and throw
- 6:45out. I have had company, a blunt just got with. What are
- 6:48you up to now? Her husband? I'll come up. I'll bring a
- 6:53large wrench that will be necessarily Bye, mister Temple. What you said just
- 6:58before, you mean, perhaps she intends to murder me, But why should
- 7:01she want to. She came to confess, not to confide in me.
- 7:05I better run along, get hold of Clare, and I well I'm sorry
- 7:12I bothered you, mister templar. Oh it's all right, thanks for your
- 7:15patience. Forget it, bye bye, well so much. That's right,
- 7:30Sergeant, man named Gordon shut to death on my doorstep. No, sergeant,
- 7:34I never shoot anyone on my doorstep. It's untidy. I don't know.
- 7:40I look, sergeant, I have an idea. Why not drop in
- 7:44and see for yourself? Sergeant? Was quick? Come in? Oh Louis,
- 7:54I forgot you were coming up, you warmer? Yeah a little bit,
- 7:57thanks, friend of yours. Who the gentleman who's laying down dead outside
- 8:03your door? No wed bear him? Oh well that's nice. You ready
- 8:07to leave now? I'm afraid not. I have to wait for the police.
- 8:09That's too bad. You know, a guy might be a conservative dresser,
- 8:13but I don't think he does credit to your doorstep. I wouldn't say
- 8:15that. His name is James Gordon of the Gordon Gordon. Oh well that's
- 8:20different. Yeah. Did he kill himself or did somebody help him? I
- 8:24don't think he killed himself. Why, well, he'd just taken out a
- 8:28blue shield card or planning for the future. Yes, it also means he
- 8:33expected to have a future Louis, while we're waiting, would you look up
- 8:37James Gordon in the phone book? Okay, but I can tell you now.
- 8:41He won't answer the phone. I want his address, but he's moving.
- 8:45It's gonna be the mob. But his wife will still be there.
- 8:48Oh oh, here it is twelve seven Oaks Drive. It's a very high
- 8:54class neighborhood, a very high class wife. Maybe I ort to run home.
- 8:58Put on my white tie. Don't be said, Louis, under the
- 9:01circumstances, the ties should very definitely be black. You know, those cops
- 9:16were very nice, so they were in spite of what you asked them.
- 9:20What do you mean you asked them if somebody confessed to murdering James Gord,
- 9:24So I did, yes? Or don't you think it's a little early for
- 9:26a confession, Louis, You don't understand. You see, in this particular
- 9:30case, the confession was made before the murder. Oh well that explains him.
- 9:35That explains nothing, Louis. Missus Gordon visited me just before mister Gordon
- 9:39did uh huh no, no, no. What she did do was confess
- 9:45to murdering her husband. But he was still alive. That's all right.
- 9:48Maybe she's got clairvoyance or something. Oh twelve seven olks drive mister theim good?
- 9:52Yeah? Uh? Should I wait? Now? You better come with
- 9:56me? Okay, but why when I have a feeling i'll need a witness.
- 10:01Oh so you really don't know missus Gordon very well? And if a
- 10:05confession was true, I don't want to know her at all. But it
- 10:09couldn't have been. Huh, except maybe it was. That's one way of
- 10:13putting it. Sure, And that's the way nobody understands to me. Included.
- 10:18Good evening, gentlemen, boy, is he hare wrong? Good evening?
- 10:22If we should like to see missus Gordon come in please? Whom shall
- 10:28I say is calling? Who I beg your pardon? Who shall I say?
- 10:31Is calling better grammar? Listen, bud, for what I dragged down
- 10:35here home is good enough? Oh? Oh, the Gordons don't pay well.
- 10:41If you are referring to recent history. The Gordons don't pay period having
- 10:45financial difficulties. I ain't having no difficulties, and I can't they ain't got
- 10:48no Financis explains the hospital plan, and you'd better slip your English accent on
- 10:54and announces I'm Simon Temper this is Lewis. Yeah, Hi, very good.
- 11:00Since one has Brooklyn grown butlers Wi the gardens have been in trouble,
- 11:03mister Gordon, ain't not anymore about Missus Gordon. Missus Gordon will see you
- 11:09this way, I thank you. Not only will she see you, but
- 11:11you'll see her looking at an objective. You're getting the break. She is
- 11:16quite a dish sir. You are speaking of the woman mister Gordon alone who
- 11:20says, that's the door she's on the other side. Hey, hey,
- 11:22hey, hey, hey, you might open it for us. What's the
- 11:26matter. You've broke an arm or something. If he ain't careful, they're
- 11:28going to send him back to Brooklys. Missus Gordon, Yes, of course,
- 11:37it's been a little while since we last met. But since we've met,
- 11:43we haven't met. We haven't if we had, surely I remember,
- 11:46mister Templar, I believe. But listen, we met at my home within
- 11:52the last hour. Well, I'm sure you have a very charming home,
- 11:56but I was never in it, and I may be able to fresh your
- 12:00memory if you'll be patient with me. You came in order to confess,
- 12:05confess what the murder of your husband, Mister Templar. If this is some
- 12:11kind of job, then it's not on the best of taste. Aside from
- 12:16everything else, my husband happens to be alive and in splendid health. So
- 12:20you see, I couldn't very well have confessed to any such silly thing,
- 12:24Missus Gordon. Is your husband's health is no longer what it used to be.
- 12:30He's dead dead Jim, Yes, Missus Gordon. Oh no, she
- 12:43did faint, mister Templar. King Arthur would never have let you sit down
- 12:48at his round tape. I couldn't afford to be chivalrous, Lewis. I
- 12:52had to make sure her faint was genuine. Oh you thought you might be
- 12:54putting on an act. Yes, However, from the way she fell,
- 12:58there was no huh. Could that mean that the rest of her story about
- 13:03never being in your apartment a confession that that's also true? Hardly? Well,
- 13:07maybe she's a twin. No, why not? Too easy? Come
- 13:11on, help me put her on the couch. Yeah, you think maybe
- 13:15she's she's just playing nuts and perhaps, or perhaps, then, i quote
- 13:18her playwright, of some insight, there's a method in her madness. She's
- 13:24coming to about looking look after her. Come on, a long Okay,
- 13:33I think you guys can find the front door. Oh, yes, we
- 13:35brought our compass. How is Missus Gordon? She was fine. I don't
- 13:39think she's doing quite too well. Now you might look in. It will
- 13:43be a pleasure. Good night, good night. Well that was a nice
- 13:52visit. Of course our hostess happened to faint. But where are we going
- 13:58on? Maybe we could make somebody else faint. No, your cab first
- 14:01of all. And then yeah, we wait, Well what Santa Claus,
- 14:07mister Temple, he was here recently, Not Santa Claus, Louis, we're
- 14:11waiting for Missus Gordon to recover. Oh, that's considerate of it. Not
- 14:16really, it's nasty of us. Oh it is. Huh. We're gonna
- 14:18hate ourselves in the morning, and that will depend on where Missus Gordon leads
- 14:22us tonight. Well, she ain't in no hurry. We've been waiting ten
- 14:35minutes already. I'll give it time, Louis. She had to recover from
- 14:39her faint, make a phone call dressed for the street. Yeah maybe,
- 14:41but I get nervous. You probably needed Tonic had a call. Yeah,
- 14:46it reminds me I had a call up in the bronx once. Oh sorry,
- 14:52A redhead comes out of the house fifteen minutes after I start hunking the
- 14:54horn, has me drive it a grand Central. I ask her why the
- 14:58delay. She says she was very busy murtering her husband and I laugh like
- 15:01anything, but you know what, she had murdered her husband. That's the
- 15:05last time I'll tell you what stories I was supposed to say that. I'm
- 15:09sorry, Hey, Louis, m oh yeah, yeah, donad luck missus
- 15:13Gordon, oh, missus, God, it's a nice car she got.
- 15:18Give her a chance to get into it. Oh yeah, I always forget.
- 15:20Well, she's in now. Yeah, wait a minute, you retire,
- 15:24Louis. She has to straighten her hat to her lips, put on
- 15:26her gloves, signal for her right turn and then and then pull away from
- 15:30the curb and then turn left. Right, come on, let's go,
- 15:33lowais all right? Him, mister template. Do you think maybe she's leaving
- 15:39for parts unknown like that redhead. I doubt it would amount to a second
- 15:43confession, and one that would be believed. Yeah, or a woman would
- 15:48just pay that she's driving plenty fast, true, you see, Louis.
- 15:52No one dawdles in the shadow of the gallows. Hey, she's pulling up
- 16:07in front of that park entry and we better stop here out huh out she's
- 16:17she's heading into the park. We follow her. Yes, strange. Maybe
- 16:23she's just a nature love her, mister Temple at this hour of the night.
- 16:26As the Low says, you got to love nature only in the daytime.
- 16:29It is in love which brings her here. Careful, it's just copy
- 16:33you're the lake. Hey, there was a guy waiting for her. There's
- 16:38no way we can get any closer. She made spot us on the pad.
- 16:41How about getting in amongst the trees. That's an idea, Yeah,
- 16:45except how good is it? They ran out of trees just here close enough
- 16:51to see him. But at least we've just met another figure in the case,
- 16:56I'll stick to missus Gordon's. That is sure. We can't see him,
- 17:00been introduced to him, and we have to do something about that.
- 17:03Hey, missus Gordon is scrammer coming back along the path. We stay where
- 17:07we are. Look, she's almost wondering. Yes, probably on very good
- 17:11advice. Huh. She has to be on time for her appointment with the
- 17:15police. They might not approve of her having gone for a midnight strove in
- 17:18the park and the night her husband died. Yeah, she's gone. Yeah,
- 17:22but the guy is still there. We're interested in him now, very
- 17:27much interested. You'd have to come back this way we can cut him off.
- 17:33Got to find out who he is, Louis. Mm got a handkerchief?
- 17:37Boy? You wanted to blow my nose? No? Never do what
- 17:40I'm doing? Mmm? Oh, make like a mask bandit or something much
- 17:44general idea? Hurry doing? Yeah, okay, I do him now,
- 17:48a mask bandit? But I ain't happy. I don't have a gun,
- 17:52but perhaps it'll work anyway. What's a gun you don't have? Yes?
- 17:56Sound? Double up? My right hand in my pocket? Here he comes.
- 18:03Okay, stop right there? But what get behind him? Left in?
- 18:07I ain't left hand? Oh yeah, I'm behind him? What is
- 18:11this stick up? What are you thinking? Is? You can't do this?
- 18:15Sure we can. Maybe you like to argue so much you would prefer
- 18:18being ventilated being what shot? Look, you don't have to shoot one of
- 18:22your epanol enjoy it. Shut up, hand of your poker and over my
- 18:25what only are you ignorant? The money bag? Mister? The wallet?
- 18:27Oh here here? Thanks? Now keep walking the way you were see,
- 18:32and don't try looking around. I ain't got no objections at all to shooting
- 18:36a guy in the back. I won't look around. I won't. Well,
- 18:41he's gone, you know, we ought to scream through, mister Temple.
- 18:45If he yelds for copy, don't think he will. He might have
- 18:48to explain what he was doing in the park at this time of night.
- 18:49You'd have an easier job than we would. See. His name is Timothy
- 18:55Kerrigan, papers in his wallet, member of the bar associational Oh oh fine,
- 19:00you'll probably see us for nothing. A lawyer. That's probably the lawyer
- 19:06for the Gordons. Well, that would explain why missus Gordon yelled for him.
- 19:08But why would they have to meet in the park. I don't know,
- 19:11Louis, except that anywhere else they might have been seen together and overheard,
- 19:15and that would be bad. It might be murder. Well, here's
- 19:32your house, mister Templar. Yes, Louis gonna go to sleep, I
- 19:37imagine, So nothing to be done tonight as far as I know. Yeah,
- 19:41Well, anyways, now we got three suspects instead of two. Three
- 19:45Yeah, missus Gordon Kerrigan and the butler. The butler is never guilty Louis.
- 19:51Hey, how about coming up for a drink? What was that you
- 19:53said? Come on, let's go a mister Templar about Butler's Maybe this one
- 20:06ain't guilty, but sometimes one could be. You know that's true. But
- 20:08the one we met tonight is too charming, a carrying don't look now,
- 20:14mister Templar, keep walking, but your charming character is carrying around the young
- 20:18cannon. Good evening, I was buttling these nights. Go on inside the
- 20:23apartment with pleasure. Hold nobody move til I put the light on. Okay,
- 20:33all the way in. I'll sit down, both of them crazy,
- 20:40No, you can't jump me. Easy, sitting down, intelligence, We
- 20:45sit. It's for you. You're either an idiot or in love. It's
- 20:51the same thing. I didn't come here to make conversation with your template.
- 20:53Why did you come to make sure you forgot about about missus Gordon's confession?
- 20:57An idiot in love that's got a not with you. Suppose I refuse to
- 21:02forget missus Gordon's confession. You'll forget it either by agreeing or by being dead.
- 21:07You want me to promise to say nothing of the confession to the police.
- 21:10That's right, I suppose I do promise, and then you leave,
- 21:12And then suppose I don't keep that promise? No, no, why do
- 21:15you have to bring that up? I come back and kill me? Then
- 21:19what good would that do? Missus Gordon? All right? If what you're
- 21:22getting is it that the only way I could be sure is by killing you
- 21:26them. How much was mister Gordon's life insured for a grant like there had
- 21:32to be a motive for his death, a motive that would place missus Gordon
- 21:34in danger of being considered likely to have murdered her husband. The Gordon's had
- 21:40no money, insurance was the most probable motive in existence. Kerragan handled the
- 21:45Gordon's finances. Yeah, Missus Gordon is in love with Kerragan, isn't you?
- 21:49No? I think you? Who cares what you think? All right,
- 21:55let's find out how innocent missus Gordon is. Look, pull the window
- 22:00shade down front window, Pull an arm chair over to the window and sit
- 22:04in it. Why, you'll then be silhouetted prettily for the benefit of any
- 22:10one outside in the street. The drawn shade will make it impossible for you
- 22:14to be identified exactly. Your build is much the same as mine. You
- 22:18will therefore appear to be meet any one outside. You will also provide a
- 22:23perfect target the whole to the only one who would have any reason for wishing
- 22:27me dead, the murderer of James Gordon. You love Missus Gordon. You're
- 22:33convinced she is innocent, She's been here before, and she'll be able to
- 22:37find her way back. Well. Will you sit in that chair? Two
- 22:57in the morning, and by this time the police would long have reached Missus
- 23:03Gordon. They probably finished with their preliminary questioning. She could plead sleepiness and
- 23:11have left the Gordon home, allowing fifteen minutes to get here. She should
- 23:15be arriving at almost any moment. Shut up, naturally, you're not worried
- 23:18perfect target, though you make. Yeah. Besides, mister Templar, even
- 23:22if she does shoot him, he'll be killed by the woman who loves.
- 23:26What more could a guy want? I told you that, Yes, she
- 23:33was saying that car, Yes I heard it. It doesn't have to be
- 23:37her, but I'm sure it is. I heal, well, mister Badler,
- 23:44I'm getting out of here. Hey, he dives very nice and in
- 23:48time. I wonder, with no ready made target for her, what will
- 23:52missus Gordon. Do you better get in the next room? Uh? Yeah,
- 23:59okay, Oh Louis, will you open the door? Oh? I
- 24:04don't mind if you do. I wouldn't like to get shut on your doorsteps.
- 24:10Now, way to appreciate your hospitality, I get it. Hello missus
- 24:17Gordon, Well you're not alone? No, no, that's Louis. Remember,
- 24:22but better remember inside? All right? Send him away? I promised
- 24:30him a drink. He hasn't had it yet. I can't send him away.
- 24:32But what I have to tell you is confidential. Louis is in my
- 24:34confidence. All right. It might turn out more convenient if you're difficult about
- 24:41why forgetting that I was ever here before? Forgetting? I came to you
- 24:45with a confession of murder. Sorry, but I have a remarkably retentive memory.
- 24:48For example, I remember a girl I used to go to school with.
- 24:52Better forget her for the moment. Oh, I couldn't. I loved
- 24:55her very deeply. How would you feel about twenty five thousand dollars? I
- 24:59love them very deep too. They're being offered to me for a promise to
- 25:03forget. Yes, and if I don't keep it, you'll sign a paper
- 25:07admitting your promise and acceptance of the money that would make you an accessory.
- 25:11You wouldn't dare change your mind. Hey, she's smarter me still doing?
- 25:17Missus Gordon. You're young, you're beautiful, and twenty five thousand dollars is
- 25:21very attractive. Nevertheless, I shall refuse all of you, even Yes,
- 25:26I wondered how long it would be before you produced that and the revolver.
- 25:30You killed your husband with him? I didn't I could convince me in a
- 25:34lot better way. Can I convince you? Oh? Yes, your confession
- 25:37helps. It does. Of course, your husband's death makes you richer by
- 25:42one hundred thousand dollars, doesn't it. Yes, Otherwise you had nothing for
- 25:48our investments. They were unfortunates to Carrigan handle. Yes, he's a lawyer.
- 25:52So your husband handed over his money to Kerrigan. Did he also know
- 25:56he was handing over his wife as well? What did you say? I
- 26:02met his life? Of course, a natural slip of the tongue. You
- 26:04know you still haven't told me how my confession was going to help me.
- 26:08I didn't say it would help you. I said it would help convince me
- 26:11you hadn't killed your husband. Well, that's the same thing, mister Templar.
- 26:17That was the back door. Yeah, I know, I was saying,
- 26:22Oh, yes, the fact that you didn't kill your husband is actually
- 26:25of minor importance, and viewers, that would be a good time to borrow
- 26:30your gun. Louie, Will you keep missus Gordon company while I see what
- 26:34the boys in the back room are doing. You're all right? It was
- 26:41Carrigan. H I thought it would be. He didn't see me. Came
- 26:47into the room, head for the door of the living room. He sneaked
- 26:49it open a bit. One is he alive? Yeah, I just got
- 26:52on on the shoulder. He was working the black well. That's right,
- 26:59hey, you from the police. They've one wounded murderer to collect one beautiful
- 27:06accessory before and after the fact. No, no, but of the highest
- 27:10class. Her butler will help her. Wait, no, no, no,
- 27:30what are here trying to do? Drown me? Oh? Thanks a
- 27:33lot. Oh hey, mister Templar. Look, I know Kerigan shot mister
- 27:41Gordon and I kind of hear. And Missus Gordon will like that. This
- 27:45is a new phrase. It'll catch on, Louis believe also because they needed
- 27:48the insurance though to live happy of her restaurant being the high class types.
- 27:52But why did missus Gordon confess to you before a husband got killed? It
- 27:56was an attempt to establish an alibi for herself, Louis. She expected that
- 28:00I'd immediately phone the police or else take her back to her home to view
- 28:03the corpse, and the meanwhile Kerrigan would murder Gordon and that would have left
- 28:08Missus Gordon in the clear. Yeah, but you didn't do either of those
- 28:11things. Why I didn't believe her or she had really killed her husband and
- 28:15was willing to take whatever consequences there might be. Why come to me?
- 28:19Uh huh? So that loust up her alibi, especially because her husband started
- 28:23to staying home and getting a shot, had become suspicious of when he trailed
- 28:26her here, and was in turn trailed by Kerrigan, who saw a natty
- 28:30opportunity for double crossing Missus Gordon and keeping the money for himself. He handled
- 28:36the Gordon's affairs and had the power of attorning. Yeah. Yeah, but
- 28:38look Missus Gordon's faint when you told her about her husband's death. You know
- 28:42that was real. You pointed it out yourself, of course it was,
- 28:45Lewis, But she didn't faint at the news of her husband's death. As
- 28:48such, the reason she fainted was because she realized that she'd confess to me
- 28:53and that her husband had been shot at a time for which she had no
- 28:56alibi. Ah. Well, no, I'm almost smart. Now I can
- 29:00enjoy my drink. Oh that's good. Hey, you know that love sick
- 29:07Butler tells me he's going back to Brooklyn and a kind of life in the
- 29:11upper classes is too low for his taste. Poor fellow he loved, not
- 29:15wisely but too well. On the other hand, what's wrong with Brooklyn?

- 29:56again next week at this same time for another exciting adventure of the Saint.

- 30:44You're an aounswer, don stamp. Three chimes mean good times on NBC.
- 30:48Well, it's Sunday again. That means another gala broadcast of NBC's Big
- 30:52Show. This evening, Hostess t Lula Banquette has a whole flock of guest
- 30:56stars, including Marlena Dietrich and the two glamourgals, Lula and Molena get together.
- 31:02Look out for flying spots for drama. This Sunday evening, Peter gild
- 31:07Down the Air presents The Tenth Story The Third Man, starring Joseph Cotton and
- 31:11Signy Hassel. Join Tallula her a Big Show with Milena Dietrich later on NBC
- 31:27Welcome Back. I have to say the Brooklyn Butler character really cracked me up,
- 31:34in particular the part where he dropped out of the English accent, though
- 31:40the whole thing is full of the great lot word play, that The Saint
- 31:45uses so effectively. The lost episode from December thirty first was entitled The Grim
- 31:52Reaper, and that ended a streak of twenty two straight Sane episodes without one
- 31:57missing. But this episode or It's another streak of seventeen straight Saint episodes without
- 32:05any lost episodes. So while it's a problem with the earlier series the NBC
- 32:09version of The Saint, at least the ones with Vincent Price are fairly well
- 32:15collected. All right, Well, we do turn to listener comments and feedback,
- 32:22and this one comes from Ed who says the episode this episode drove me
- 32:30crazy with the term monkey being applied to an ape. Apes do not have
- 32:36tails, monkeys do. Sixty years later, people still can't make the differentiation.
- 32:44I think the guy playing the ape was making monkey sounds as well.
- 32:49But I love the program. Keep up the good work. Well. I
- 32:53definitely understand the frustration when something is not accurate and you know the way it
- 33:00should be, but it's important to keep it per in perspective and make sure
- 33:05you don't go overboard. And I'm glad you're doing that. You just don't
- 33:08want to go ape over things like that. Okay, Other than bad puns
- 33:14and seriously thanks for the comment, and it is a good point ed.
- 33:20I wanted to send a hearty thank you actually to everybody who's on our Facebook
- 33:25page, because I've been noticing over the past a few weeks a lot of
- 33:30people sharing episodes of our programs. Usually each episode's got at least one share.
- 33:42One episode of the Adventures of Philip Marlow had twelve different people hitting that
- 33:47share button and posting it on the wall of their Facebook page. And I
- 33:53appreciate everybody who does that. And if you hear an episode that you enjoy,
- 34:00i'd encourage you just to share it with your friends on the wall.
- 34:02It's a great way to share about the program. We also should have more
- 34:07of that on Twitter. We're trying to work on getting our tweets a little
- 34:12bit more consistent. But to everybody who's sharing on Facebook, thank you so
- 34:17much. Really do appreciate what you do to expand the reach of the program.
- 34:24Again, hearty thank you to all our Facebook sharers, and thank you
- 34:31so much to everybody who's one of our four thousand fans, but particularly the
- 34:35sharers. And if you do have a program you like, definitely encourage you
- 34:39to share it. With your friends. All right, Well, that will
- 34:43do it for today. We'll be back tomorrow with the return of the lineup
- 34:49and we'll be starting out with the pilot episode, so join us for that,
- 34:52and then next week it's another episode of The Saint with Vincent Price.
