Ep. 172. What X-Men Teams Should Come to the MCU?! · Vigilante Vibes Podcast

• 0:12
Hi guys, it's Megan from Vigilante Vibes and I am here
• 0:15
today to do something a little different.
• 0:16
I asked everyone on my socials yesterday to send me anonymous
• 0:22
messages through the NGL app and well, anonymous questions I
• 0:26
guess. So I said I would answer some on
• 0:29
my podcast and today I want to answer 1.
• 0:31
Today. I was very excited about
• 0:33
answering this one because I will do anything and everything
• 0:36
to talk about X-Men and mutants just in general.
• 0:40
It's just, they're just my thing.
• 0:42
So I was asked, what mutant teams are you excited to see
• 0:46
moving forward in the MCU? And I have actually have 3
• 0:50
answers for this. First up New mutants I want to
• 0:53
see Ileana, Rasputina I want to see cannonball I want to see
• 0:58
mirage, Danny moon, Star, Sunspot, Wolfsbane I think Karma
• 1:03
I want to see that so bad. I I love all of them, especially
• 1:10
magic. I want to see magic done so bad
• 1:13
in the MCUI really loved her portrayal by Anya Taylor Joy.
• 1:20
So I once I would love to see her come back as magic.
• 1:24
She made a perfect magic. She just, she just, she just
• 1:28
understood it. So I, I really want to see her
• 1:31
come back. That would be amazing.
• 1:32
Maybe in Secret Wars, but maybe not.
• 1:35
But yeah, I want to see all of this happen with the New
• 1:38
  Mutants, the next one, Excalibur.
• 1:43
Excalibur is where I started my comic book journey.
• 1:46
That is where I was introduced to Captain Britain and Megan,
• 1:51
who has an amazing name by the way, if I do say so myself.
• 1:56
So on that team, I want to see Captain Britain and Megan,
• 1:59
obviously, I want to see Kitty Pride, Lockheed Nightcrawler,
• 2:07
Betsy Braddock. I think that like they would be
• 2:10
crazy not to make an Excalibur team because it's such an iconic
• 2:13
  team. It's a classic team.
• 2:15
It's been here since what, the 80s maybe?
• 2:20
I think they could really do some pretty great stuff with
• 2:23
Excalibur. I just and it would just warm my
• 2:26
heart. I have such a personal
• 2:28
connection to that team and it's just it's such hard hitters on
• 2:32
that team. I mean, you have Nightcrawler,
• 2:35
my one and only my favorite mutant of all time,
• 2:39
Nightcrawler. And then you have one of my
• 2:42
  other favorites. It's Kitty pride.
• 2:43
Like these are these are great characters and I want to see
• 2:47
them done. I want to see it so bad.
• 2:50
So my last one is Dark X-Men. So in case you guys didn't know,
• 2:57
Norman Osbourne's Dark X-Men from the Dark Rain storyline,
• 3:00
which if you haven't checked out, you absolutely should.
• 3:03
It is fantastic. So when you get the Dark X-Men,
• 3:09
you get like Emma Frost, Neymour, Mystique, Dakin, Dark
• 3:13
Beast, Weapon, Omega, Klogan, Dagger would who are very
• 3:18
underrated characters. So and then you can also get
• 3:23
Madeline Pryor's Dark X-Men, which I I want to see them join
• 3:29
forces. I want to see Madeline Pryor,
• 3:31
Maddie the baddie. I want to see her brought in
• 3:34
with the Dark X-Men. I think this could be something
• 3:36
completely different from the usual X-Men or whatever they're,
• 3:42
I say the usual X-Men. We haven't gotten X-Men in MCU,
• 3:45
but whatever they're going to bring with the X-Men, whatever
• 3:48
vibe they're bringing, whatever they're going for, which I think
• 3:51
they're going to really nail because I think they know how
• 3:53
important the X-Men are. I want it the complete opposite
• 3:57
with the Dark X-Men. I want it dark, I want it
• 4:00
gritty. I want it to be, I want to go
• 4:06
and see it and I want to sit in the audience and go, oh shit,
• 4:10
when I watch it like that's what I want, I, I want to be amazed
• 4:15
in the darkest way. Went on a little bit of a
• 4:19
  tangent there. I'm so sorry.
• 4:21
But yes, those are who I would want.
• 4:25
But now that we are talking about X-Men, I might as well
• 4:28
knock out another anonymous question here.
• 4:30
It says what Marvel hero from the comics do you want to see in
• 4:34
live action who hasn't been yet? So mine it.
• 4:43
I know Polaris has been done. I know that there was ATV show
• 4:47
called The Gifted where it was extraordinarily underrated and
• 4:52
did not get the credit it deserved and was cancelled.
• 4:55
So bring that back or at least try again.
• 4:59
But I liked how Polaris was handled in that.
• 5:02
But I think because it was so underrated, I'm going to say
• 5:07
Polaris. She is one of my favorite comic
• 5:11
book characters of all time. I think she is a beautiful
• 5:14
representation of what can happen with when mental health
• 5:18
goes untreated. I think it's a really good
• 5:21
representation of what how Magneto is as a father, which
• 5:25
Towanda he is amazing to Polaris.
• 5:29
He's like, man, I want that dirty nasty thing.
• 5:32
But it's very sad how mean he is to Polaris.
• 5:36
But she is so powerful. She is.
• 5:39
She has such a good story. And I think it always gets
• 5:46
watered down by the Magneto and the Scarlet Witch of it all.
• 5:49
Because I think the same thing happens with a Quicksilver.
• 5:52
I mean, nowadays you don't really hear about Quicksilver
• 5:55
unless he's with Scarlet Witch, which is which is a bummer.
• 5:59
I mean, I like Scarlet Witch. Don't get me wrong.
• 6:00
I really enjoy her character. I really love her arc.
• 6:03
I really love her stories. But I think her influence and
• 6:08
her popularity can be so powerful that you don't see the
• 6:11
other characters. Like Polaris is a fantastic
• 6:16
character. She's so loyal, she's so her
• 6:19
powers are incredible. I want to see it done in live
• 6:23
action. I want to see the green hair.
• 6:26
I want the comic accurate suit. I want it all.
• 6:31
Other than that, if for an actual answer of someone who
• 6:34
hasn't been done a live action, I want to see Cosmic
• 6:37
Ghostwriter. It's just so random and I've
• 6:40
always for years now I've asked for it and I don't think I'm
• 6:43
ever going to get it. I don't even get in the comics
• 6:46
anymore. But I think Cosmic Ghostwriter
• 6:48
would be really cool. For those who don't know who
• 6:50
Cosmic Ghostwriter is, it's actually the Punisher as the
• 6:54
ghostwriter. And it's like both best of both
• 6:57
worlds. So yeah, that was my answers for
• 7:01
those two questions. If you'd like to ask me a
• 7:02
question, I will answer on the podcast, just click the link in
• 7:06
the show notes right under this episode.
• 7:08
So thank you for watching. Thank you for keeping up with
• 7:12
this, the random things I had to say.
• 7:15
And let me know in the comments what you would choose.
• 7:18
What X-Men team? Well, what mutant team would you
• 7:21
like to see and what character that hasn't been done in live
• 7:24
action would you like to see be done in the MCU?
• 7:28
So with that being said, be sure to like and subscribe and have a
• 7:31
  marvelous day.
